Carrying Cas is one of, if not the most intimate gesture Dean could ever bring himself to do for him, it’s the closest they could ever be, and it’s only when Cas is DEAD and he’s ALONE and there’s nobody else to see—not even us—that he gets to do that.

Cas trying to heal Crowley in 12x23: All Along the Watchtower
This is whatever the opposite of self indulgent is, really just breaking my own heart with this one.
ID: Digital drawing of Cas and Crowley set at the end of episode 12x23 of Supernatural. The pose is taken from the end of Reservoir Dogs with Crowley sprawled on his back with his head in Cas' lap and Cas curled over him. Crowley's face is lit up in the effect used when a demon dies. Cas has one hand pressed to Crowley's abdomen and one cradling his face. Both hands are lit up with a golden glow to indicate he is using his grace. Both Cas and Crowley are crying. There are two close up images at the bottom showing the details of Crowley and Cas' faces. End ID.
Both times Dean is referred to as Sam's man in the latam dub. Just because I can screen record now <3
"Loyal, stubborn Sam who, I suspect, will never rest until he sets his brother free. Will never rest until his man is free of the Mark."
"Sammy! Hey. And... your man?"
"Here."
I genuinely believe there was an error with the translation script or something in that first one because those lines are MESSY. That ellipsis does not belong there. "Sospechó" is not the same as "sospecho" and the voice actor is clearly struggling trying to make it make sense. The delivery is just. Weird. I don't know.
I feel like we need to talk about 12x23 because it is stuck in my head and it ✨️hurts✨️
"I'd love to chat with you, but uh-- why waste my time, right? It's not like you matter. I don't need to put on the old Sam suit anymore, do I?"
LOOK AT HIS FACE WHEN LUCIFER SAYS THIS~~
Because since first freeing Lucifer, the devil has needed him-- wanted him. As a vessel, as a companion in the cage, as a means to an end. Sam was needed by the devil one way or another, and after his trauma in the cage, it was the only constant.
And then... Lucifer doesn't need him anymore. He has a son on the way; he has a vessel that can hold him; he has no use for Sam-- and whether Sam can admit it or not, it hurts.
He's unneeded, unwanted, and Sam hates how much those simple words get to him because he shouldn't care, he shouldn't want Lucifers attention.
But he spent a lifetime alone with Lucifer, being the devil's sole focus, and he can't just ignore that like Lucifer can.
