Today I discovered IDW Transformers Rung, a psychiatrist whose much more than he seems. He's too dad shaped to not drop into sudden parenthood. Look at him! You can't tell me this man wouldn't make such a delightful dorky father figure.
I already got a few characters in mind to drop him on. First is definitely going to be Jak from the Jak and Daxter series. Whether it be pre Jak 2/3 or Post 3 is in the air. I'm leaning to Jak, Daxter and the Kid being displaced with Rung in Transformers Prime. That or Earthspark. Most likely Prime because of comparisons between Eco and Energon.
Plus Jak seriously needs therapy alongside a hug. He's got a case of 'chosen hero' syndrome and self worth issues that needs to be handled.
Next is Sonic the Hedgehog specifically the Movie variant. Both will be displaced in either G1, Cybertron or Animated. I would say Prime just for Super Sonic vs Unicron but nah. Earthspark will be used in a different project with this iteration.
Rung ends up being a dad to a 3-5 year old Sonic, as i can't resist the image of him trying to raise a child that can fit in human sized pockets. Freshly traumatized hedgehog gets hugs alongside therapy. Also the hilarity that between the giant robot and his super fast child, it's Sonic someone has worry about as he will throw hands.
Last one for now is Ren Amamiya/Joker from Persona 5. Universe wise, Prime, canon divergent Bayverse or Knightverse be perfect for the two. Mainly cause Persona is an M rated series that are spurred from the design of particular Personas such as Mara to murder being a more uncommon occurrence. *Persona 4 was literally a murder mystery.*
Rung met and raised Ren when he was five years old. The bot would be unable to stop the unfair trial but definitely won't leave his kid alone in a different city. Plus Rung getting dragged into the Phantom Thieves' shenanigans by Ren. Kid already has a codename made for his pops: Guide.
What do you guys think? Should Rung be hit with the dad hammer?

i like Chappell Roan very much as an artist/performer/media personality (and have previously featured tuesdaysongs Pink Pony Club and Red Wine Supernova), but i do not like her new album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess very much as an album. it is not very good to listen straight through as a work. very high high and very very low vibes all over the place, three different kinds of club bangers interspersed with torch songs. After Midnight both sonically and like, vocal delivery? reminds me a lot of modern paramore?? chill but danceable, a canonically bisexual song.

what would we fucking do without Riptide Publishing and their batshit insane (lovingly) catalog? The Glamour Thieves by Don Allman is the platonic ideal of a "one last job"-style heist book, in gay urban magic/paranormal wrapping paper. had remarkably good action sequences, buckets of atmosphere, excellent pacing. i read it in one sitting and was up until 3AM. my library doesn't have the other two in the trilogy, so i'm impatiently waiting until there's more fun money in the fun money budget
JT is an orc on the way up. He’s got his own boutique robotics shop, high-end clientele, and deep-pocketed investors. He’s even mentoring an orc teen who reminds him a bit too much of himself back in the day.
Then Austin shows up, and the elf’s got the same hard body and silver tongue as he did two years ago when they used to be friends and might have been more. He’s also got a stolen car to bribe JT to saying yes to one last scheme: stealing the virtual intelligence called Blue Unicorn.
Soon JT’s up to his tusks in trouble, and it ain’t just zombies and Chinese triads threatening to tear his new life apart. Austin wants a second chance with JT—this time as more than just a friend—and even the Blue Unicorn is trying to play matchmaker.

the next g/enshin update is rapidly approaching and that's about all i've been doing the entire time i've been sick. toodling around and finishing off stray quests here and there, accidentally discovering i never engaged with a fairly major quest, exploring nooks and crannies for stray chests and puzzles.
i did an extremely tiresome quest chain and rejuvenated this big tree that you can see from three other in-game nations which is pretty cool. i wish it looked slightly less like a nuclear test cloud?
this monarch butterfly of a claymore-wielding woman will be released in late winter/early spring hopefully and i Must have her. this game is so good to me re: women with giant swords

KYLE CROUSE: [reading question from ChaosSonic1] "At the time this question is written, Sonic Speed Simulator just put the Kunoichi Amy and while it is not canon as you said yourself many times, it is mentioned. This does get me thinking, what if instead of going to Knothole in pre-Super Genesis Wave of Archie what if Amy went to the Dragon Kingdom and was raised by any of the 4 clans, and how would each of the clans raise her and how would she be?"

IAN FLYNN: This is, number one, assuming that any of them would actually take her in, 'cause they were very isolationist in their own rights, but we'll ignore that for the sake of the question.
KYLE: Mhm.
IAN: Um, if she were to go into... let's say she got picked up by the Yagyu, became like, the right hand to the Bride of Rich Nights. Uh, number one, Iron King wouldn't have offed the Bride, that's for sure. And, I don't know, I could kinda see her becoming their greatest muscle in the group, like... the living embodiment of 'smash and grab.' This is assuming that the hammer comes with her, that it's like, a mystically-tied item, and uh... 'cause I think that's how we were going in pre-reboot, if I remember correctly. So, you know, the Yagyu thieves are out there pillaging the land, and if anybody tries to actually stop them, she comes in and stops them. Uh, Raiju Clan? Well, they're already war-like, so now you've got Amy with potentially lightning-channeled hammer in addition to everything else?
KYLE: [chuckles] That sounds awesome.
IAN: Now maybe her inherent compassion means that she doesn't finish off her opponents. She's just content with defeating them, but she is schooled in the ways of making lots of pain, lots of- really darn fast. Uh, the Gossamer Clan? [sigh] That's almost like saying 'Amy becomes a nun.'
KYLE: [snorts]
IAN: Y'know? Or... or she goes out into the world, following the Web of Fate, to ensure things play out a certain way. And maybe her fortune cards are a way of interpreting that, or there's a different version of them. Something that's more tied to the Web of Fate. Maybe instead of fortune cards, she does, like, uh... oh, what is it called when you do, like, the strings between your fingers to make Cat's Cradle and stuff? Like, very quick weavings to fortune-tell. That might be kind of a fun twist on things. Uh, and then for the Shinobi Clan, that would be worth it just for the long con. She's there in the narrative as she always was. You don't think it's any different, you think this is just standard Amy, but surprise! She's been Constant Vigil's sleeper agent in the Freedom Fighters this whole time!
KYLE: [laughs] Oh no!
IAN: The fangirling over- that fangirling over Sonic? That was just to keep tabs on him! Why is she paying so much attention to Sonic? "Oh, she's a fangirl. Don't worry about it." No, ninja spy!
KYLE: [laughs] Wow! You've explained everything, Ian! Perfect. You've solved it. You've figured it out, Ian. You've justified it. We've- you've done it. Man, this show is so productive!
[both laugh]

Spotify prompt! Knuckles and tails, an 19 :)
Oh hoho! You managed to land FightSong by EVE (<- YouTube link), a song that by all rights shoulda been #2 (<- I refuse to pay Spotify money).
Hmm…. It’s been a while since I’ve done anything with Super Sonic Speed, but I always did intend to write follow-ups…
.•.•.•.
The city is unbelievably loud. They’re in what Sonic had called a shopping district, and it’s apparently very popular. Knuckles would kind of like to go home, a lot, actually, but Tails is flirting from one shop to another and he doesn’t have it in him to shut the kid down. Sonic is somewhere on the periphery of their little group— he and Tails had bonded, thick as thieves, and Knuckles— well, he tolerated the guy.
Tails gasps like he’s seeing the sun rise for the first time, excited enough that he’s lifting off the ground. Knuckles ambles over, grabs him by the ankle, and pulls him back down. He’s looking at some sort of… thing. Knuckles can’t make heads or tails of it, but it’s definitely saying something to Tails.
Hmm. He is, at least, familiar with the idea of shops. Chao liked to set them up, sometimes, selling fruit or handmade crafts for rings, but Knuckles has no idea if their idea of currency and everyone else’s aligns. Would the shopkeep accept a fruit? Most chao did. It isn’t like rings are a problem, so…
Knuckles turns, seeking out Sonic in the crowd. There he is— stiff as anything, glancing frantically back and forth between Knuckles and some other hedgehog, a pink one. One of his friends, maybe? They look irritated, maybe not. Knuckles steps away from Tails, invites himself into their conversation.
“and you just RAN OFF—“ the hedgehog is shouting. Sonic cracks his mouth open, a faint wheeze escaping.
“Hey,” Knuckles says.
“—do you have ANY IDEA how WORRIED I was—“
This looks like a battle Sonic is better off fighting on his own. Still, Knuckles needs his question answered. “Hey,” he repeats, slightly louder.
“—I mean, I knew you were alright because my cards said so, but—“
“Hey Knuckles,” Sonic manages to crack out, “this is Amy.”
Amy tilts her head at him, and then gives him a sharp, discerning once-over. “Are you one of his other friends?” She asks.
“Yeah, sure,” Knuckles says, and then “do rings work as currency down here?”
She blinks at him, as if this is a weird thing to ask. “Yes?” She says.
“Okay,” Knuckles says, nodding, “try not to scare him too bad.”
Any lingering confusion evaporates, and she whirls around to find Sonic trying to sneak away. “AGAIN!” she shouts, full of conviction, and Knuckles makes his way back to where he left Tails. He isn’t pressed up against the glass anymore, so Knuckles steps into the store. Yeah, there he is. Hovering— literally— over the same display.
Knuckles takes a moment to properly observe, rooting around for the terms Tails would use, in an attempt to ensure he gets the right thing. There’s a looping track, and a few other gadgets on the sides. A switch, one of them looks like, and some barricade, and a few blinking lights. On the track itself is a… sideways cylinder, set on wheels, connected to a few boxes, puffing out smoke— or steam, maybe. Tails is absorbed enough in watching it chug along that he doesn’t even realize Knuckles is standing right next to him. Knuckles’ll just have to make sure he comes up for air, occasionally.
He casts about the rest of the store, vaguely lost. There are a lot of displays, and a lot of colourful boxes. Knuckles picks up one, flips it over, and realizes swiftly he is out of his depth. He brings the box over to Tails, handing it to him. Tails holds onto it for a full few seconds, watching with bated breath as the cylinder switches tracks, before he looks down. His fur all along his spine puffs up, and he turns to look at Knuckles so fast he has to wonder if Sonic hasn’t started to rub off on him in more ways than one. That’s the right box, for sure.
“Really?” Tails asks, voice breathy with excitement, and Knuckles ruffles his fur instinctually.
“‘Course.”
Maybe the shopping district isn’t that bad.

Hi! I’ve started reading your fic WWS after encountering some fanart, and I am in love with the story, the characterizations, and your quality of writing. I’m writing a fic myself that I’ve realized I really want to sink my heels into and flesh out— what would you say is your process in terms of worldbuilding and the progression of your plot? Have you had any moments in the brainstorming process where you were divided between how the story should go, and if so how did you navigate that? Apologies if you’ve been asked this question already!
I have not been asked this yet, no! Thank you for coming and asking, it's always fun to talk shop with other fic writers. Long, rambling answer about my process writing WWS below for you, hope any of it helps - and can't wait to read your stuff!
What Was Stolen is a bit of an anomaly because I've been sitting on this idea - dreaming and scheming about it - for almost 8 years. It was just always in the back of my mind, and I was always passively thinking "oh, that would be a fun moment to include!" or "oh, I'd like to make sure these two characters have this type of interaction!".
The long and the short of it is that to get to that micro plotting, you have to start macro. For me, it was about knowing the full expanse of the story in broad strokes - beginning, middle, and end. Act 1, Act 2, Act 3.
So the idea started as simply as this: Amy is a Princess who wants to become queen, she meets Sonic, a thief, and they strike a deal (Act 1). Eventually they are found out by Scourge who is the main villain and Sonic must kidnap Amy for the thieves (Act 2). There's a fallout from this, the tournament happens and (INSERT RESOLUTION HERE, NO SPOILERS!!!) (Act 3).
It started as just an arc - Meet-up, falling out, resolution and tournament.
After that it was about placing characters in the world and coming up with what the circumstances were. Worldbuilding for me was super soft - I wasn't interested in like, the politics of the world if it didn't affect the relationship of my two main characters. For example - the politics of the thieves and the camps was something I had to know early on, because it directly affects how Sonic interacts with Amy and the world and others. But I don't know what Kingdoms the Rose Kingdom is at war with or how big it is or what their main export is - because that doesn't really matter to what Amy is up to in the castle. I started asking questions to help bridge how I GET from Act 1 to Act 2 to Act 3. For example: How is Amy going to become the queen? Answer: there's a tournament she can win that will help her case. Info about this will be delivered by Shadow. Why does Sonic need to strike a deal with Amy? Answer: He needs to rescue a friend. That places Silver and Blaze in the world. Who are the villains and obstacles in the way of them achieving their goals? Answer: For Sonic, Scourge is the camp leader and pretty obviously the villain. For Amy, her father the King represents the expectations and oppressions of her status in the world.
After I had those big, connective pieces (and 8 years of dreams about little moments), I just started writing. And I wrote until I got to the ball - I wrote 22 chapters without publishing anything, because I knew that there were a lot of plot kinks to work out, and I didn't hit the point where I simply could not carry on writing without working those kinks out until 22 chapters in.
Fun fact: originally, I wrote all 22 of these chapters so that all the events of WWS took place within 2-3 WEEKS. And when I got to the ball and realized that I wanted Sonic and Amy to be well and truly and desperately in love by that point in the story - to really drive home the betrayal of this moment - I had to stop and go back and give them more time to get there. I lengthened the timeline of the piece to 3-4 months, and then filled in scenes accordingly. Now Amy has time to spend flirting with Sonic. Now Amy has time to discover secrets about Knuckles. Now Sonic has time to make a deal with an assassin to ratchet up the anticipation. Now he has time to talk things out with his team of thieves more. Adding that time for the characters to interact and fuck up just gave more space for me to flush out the EMOTIONAL arcs - because intimacy comes with time. So that was a long re-write process of just DIGGING into what moments needed more space so that it really felt like they LOVED each other - believably - by the time the ball rolled around. After that rewrite, I started publishing chapters because I knew the timeline was set.
Otherwise, for me it's just about dreaming of moments. For a long time, I knew I wanted Amy to get sick, because that forces Sonic to return to the castle if he wants to see her. That takes them out of the training space and into a TALKING space. I knew I wanted the knife-lift for the spice and the physical intimacy, and the alcove bit for the same reason. I knew I wanted a moment of all three boys scrapping in the forest over finding out Sonic's secret because I liked the mental image, and I knew I wanted a scene of all four of them, gathered around while Sonic sang a folk song as their last bit of peace before the storm.
So, like how WWS needed to be rewritten to have more time literally in the plot of the story, so too is my biggest piece of advice for finding depth in your story: give yourself TIME to sit with your story. Write out as far as you can go, and when you hit a sticking point and think "man it would've been nice if I had given myself a symbolic object for Sonic to have and then give away as a token of his affection," go back, and put it in there. I know it's fun to rush into publishing chapters, but you find your story and your symbolism and your timeline if you give yourself the time to go back and put it in there. My story's first draft certainly didn't have a lot of the depth it has now, but because I had given myself plenty of ground to work with before even thinking about publishing, I was able to go back and dig, and plant in the soil that I had laid down.
I hope this helps - apologies if it was self-indulgent or overly long. This story is my baby, it came straight from my heart, so I could talk about it forever. Thank you for letting me talk about it, and I am so excited for what you create! <3

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Tagged by @skyyknights and @traveleorzea ! Forever ago but I'm finally getting around to tackling all these questions. Thank you so much for the tags! :D I decided to answer these questions (mostly) based only on the fics I have posted to AO3 right now. I could have answered some of these questions based on WIP's I haven't posted yet, but I decided to keep it simple.
The stupid new format of Tumblr kept screwing up my links, which is part of the reason why it took me so long to post this.
1. How many works do you have on AO3? At the moment, only 43!
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 39,225 as of December 30, 2023. I expect this to skyrocket once I eventually post my megafics for Transformers and Fire Emblem. But, it is not this day.
3. What fandoms do you write for? Anything I want to write for 🔥❤️🔥🔥The Legend of Zelda, Transformers, Miraculous Ladybug, Fire Emblem, the MCU, Critical Role, and Puss in Boots are the fandoms represented on my AO3 now, but that's only the beginning! I have a few more fics in the works for many other fandoms, including but not limited to Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario, Batfam, Honor Among Thieves, and The Stormlight Archive, that simply aren't ready for AO3 yet. I hope to get them up someday, in the years to come.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? From the top and descending, that would be:
"Let Sleeping Dogs Lie" (Puss in Boots: The Last Wish) I'm genuinely unsurprised this is at the peak. It's held this rank ever since I posted it. Wholesome Team Friendship Fluff, post-movie!
"To Bee a Leader" (Transformers: Robots in Disguise 2015) This one always surprises me!!! I never expected it to get so much traction! But I'm so happy it keeps getting hits! I'm so happy people are enjoying / relating to my Prime in Disguise Bumblebee angst + emotional hurt / comfort!
"Release Me" (The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom) With the advent of TotK, it is only logical that this shot to the top 5. This is my fic I wrote before the game released, where I theorized: what if the green arm was actually antagonistic?
"Watched" (The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess) I think the LU fandom finally found this one, because it wasn't this high in the ranks before, lol. It's not technically Linked Universe, but you could certainly read it as either TLoZ or LU, as you prefer. Pre-canon, still in Ordon Village, Link doesn't know it...but he's being watched.
"A Name Aptly Chosen" (Bumblebee (2018) / Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) Oh, when did this happen??? When did you hit the top 5? 👀 This is news to me! This makes me so happy!!! This is how I imagine Bumblebee explained to Optimus Prime his name-change from "B-127" to "Bumblebee" ✨
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Most of the time, yes! I love when readers leave comments because I'm excited to hear what in my writing stood out to them. Thus, I try to reply to as many as I can. I hope that if I stay engaged with my readers, they'll feel more comfortable with commenting, whether on my fics or someone else's ✨ That being said, however, when particular comments don't pass the vibe check, I see no need to reward with any response. <3
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Ooh. As of now, that trophy goes to "Where Sorrow Rings" (Fire Emblem: Engage). A close second might be "Out of Tune" (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.) (The even-heavier angst that I write is currently unpublished, because most of it is in my megafics.)
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Good question! My first instinct would be Let Sleeping Dogs Lie, but depending on preference, I suppose Welcome Home and Dissonant Echoes could possibly compete with that one.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not much yet (lol), but I figure it'll happen eventually because that's how the Internet works, regrettably.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Nope. I don't read it either.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Lol, this is a super funny question for me personally. I crossover so many things, but my best crossovers haven't made it to AO3 yet because I'm still building up the greatness to reach its full potential. I think the only crossover I have right now on AO3 is a Stormlight!AU for TLoZ, The Song of Stormlight. But oh, the crossovers in my mind...! I gotta mention some of them just for fun, in the hopes it'll motivate me to bring them to fruition:

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Not that I know of. If someone wanted to translate a fic of mine, I might be truly honored, but I would want them to ask permission first.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Hmm...not seriously. I've collaborated worldbuilding with many people over the years, and done much roleplaying, but I've never co-written a "fic" that wasn't a for-fun "Round Robin" game.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? OoT Zelink. They are my OTP.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? *laughs
That could be literally any of my WIP's at any point. I want to finish them all. I plan to finish them all. I hope to finish them all. But, actually finishing them all is dependent upon many factors. I think of ideas faster than I can finish them, and I have many priorities to juggle. I hope I don't abandon my stories, but I make no promises. Even so, I try not to doubt that I'll finish my fics; I strive to keep a positive mindset, because that will lend me the motivation to finish them, even if it takes me years to do so.
16. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue, poetry (I love writing words to a beat even within prose), and coming up with titles, to name a few!
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Finishing
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I think it's delightful when it's executed well, and distracting when it's not. That's why I try to be careful when I attempt to do so. When I do so, I wish to respect the language and the culture the language is a part of; language has much nuance, so I don't just wanna copy-paste something from the Goog's Translate without taking certain linguistic factors into account.
19. First fandom you wrote for? The first fandom I posted for on AO3 was Transformers: Prime. That's not the first fandom I ever wrote for, but I'm not telling you that, Tumblr.
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written? This is a cruel question. I could well cheat this question and say "all my fics are my favorite fics I've ever written, because writing is a delight." I would mean that. But, in the spirit of the ask game, I will respond with "Safe With You." 🏍️

ok well if no one will msg me so i can copy and paste my sonic forces rewrite braindump i'll put it here
First off: The war has already gotten insanely bad before Sonic disappears. Eggman has been sending Badniks everywhere so it's impossible for the characters to fight them all at once. I'm taking Infinite's Jackal Squad and making them a city defense team rather than thieves. And to give the playable avatar a bit of story, they're a part of the squad as well. So after battling a Badnik, Infinite is knocked out. The squad runs to get him medical help, and he wakes up alone.
Then Starline shows up and gaslights Infinite into thinking he was abandoned. Starline gives him the mask, and takes him to Eggman. This way we get the whole "Starline meets Eggman and tries to show off that he can be a villain too" plotline. In the comics, he just sort of shows up, so if he brings a newly brainwashed minion, then that makes it a bit more interesting. Basically, Infinite sides with Eggman, because he believes siding with the Resistance got him abandoned and alone.
I'm also planning on changing that one scene where Tails cowers in front of Chaos. That was REALLY out of character, especially since Tails has literally defeated Chaos before. So I was thinking maybe he would try to fight Chaos, but as this is an illusion from Infinite, his fighting tactics are different than Chaos's actual tactics. This catches Tails off guard, so now he has a reason to be scared, but instead he's just confused. I think this works WAY better than just having Tails curl in a ball and hide.
The other main thing I want to change is what happens when Sonic gets captured. Honestly, I think changing Sonic's reaction to getting imprisoned and tortured, making everyone a little less hopeless without him, and keep them from finding out Sonic is alive for a while longer would make the whole game WAY better.
Sonic isn't just being super sarcastic and mentions "oh lol you're torturing me lmao anyway", he's actually weakened and injured. And this has an actual effect on the story and gameplay. He has less stamina, so attacks don't deal as much damage, and in cutscenes, he's still visibly hurt and distraught. He was tortured for six months and that's never really shown in the game??
I'm not saying we need to show the actual torture- just make it actually have an impact. Also why did they chain up his arms in the game? Why not chain up his legs? What's he gonna do, punch Zavok? He's the fastest hedgehog, not the strongest. That would make the torture even more impactful because he couldn't escape.
I also want to change everyone's reaction to Sonic being gone. In the game, the world falls to war as soon as Sonic disappears. But do you honestly think that with everyone's abilities combined- psychokinesis, invisibility, having a comically large hammer- missing just one team member who's just fast would mean the world collapses immediately? Eggman has been sending badniks to cities everywhere, so the team can't possibly fight them all at once. Everything's *already* collapsing.
When Sonic is gone, everyone carries on trying to stop the war without him, but also everyone looked up to him and they're devastated. They don't let it get in the way of fighting, but they're also fearing the worst and that Sonic may be dead. This is why I want them to not find out Sonic's alive as soon as they start thinking he was killed- they need to realize they've been too dependent on Sonic when they're perfectly capable of fighting on their own. Meanwhile, Sonic isn't capable of fighting on his own (at least not when he's this weak), and has to pray someone can save him.
I want to parallel this with Infinite and his Jackal Squad too. Infinite thinks everyone abandoned him, and wants to save himself. Meanwhile, the Jackal Squad doesn't have any idea what happened to Infinite, so they also have to realize that they're too dependent on him and can fight for themselves.

Except most of the time, and originally, Ganon is a pig monster.
Ganon was only exclusively a pig monster for one game. Two if you count his revival in The Adventure of Link.
Once A Link to the Past rolled around, Ganon was given a backstory: Ganondorf, leader of a group of thieves, stole into the Sacred Realm and swiped the Triforce, being transformed into a pig monster in the process.
Ocarina of Time then elaborated upon A Link to the Past's backstory, in the process retconning "A group of thieves who all killed each other until only Ganondorf remained standing" into "An ethnic culture of dark-skinned desert thieves who kidnap men for breeding stock."
That's been Ganon ever since. They've made adjustments to the Gerudo as a society and culture, but Ganon's still Ganon. The pig monster became a super form for Ganondorf, King of the Gerudo to take on when he gets serious. Trying to separate Ganon from Ganondorf is like trying to look at Super Sonic as a distinct character, totally divorced from Sonic the Hedgehog.
