Your art style is like.

Very rounded/you don’t have a lot of flat shapes, and also you use a lot of stripes and spots everywhere, but I think most people do so I don’t know if that counts.

Mostly the first part. Like round but not necessarily soft, though people often put them together I don’t think you usually do. Honestly most of you art looks like I’d reach out and feel leather or scales.

Here it is! Hailstorm and Pyrite for the evil style challenge. The total opposite of round and sharp! It's spiky and soft! Also since you made your piece with lineart I decided to draw mine completely lineless.

I thought that maybe doing with a soft shading would minimize the defined textures of scales on dragons? It kind of worked? Also instead of stripes and dots I gave them triangles

#This was difficult for me #Right before this I drew a character that was the definition of my style #a literal snake-wyrm that was very round and did loop de loops with their body #so I had to rewire my brain in real time to draw this #also I never played monster hunter but isn't this like close to the icons they do for the beasts? Cardan had some bangers throughout the series but nothing, I repeat nothing, hits me as hard as “I knew little else, but I always knew you.” Because you realize that he’s not talking about just the time he was cursed, he’s talking about every other time before. Years before. And everything that’ll follow after.

In his novella, we go through his life since he was a kid. When Balekin took him home, when he met Nicasia, when she took him to the Undersea, when he went to the mortal world to the first time. And the one thing common in all this was that he always mentioned Jude, or that mortal girl, at least once (I’m serious, go open HTKOELTHS quick and check each chapter.) He’s always felt like she’s the only real thing, she kept him grounded. When he was hurt beyond measure and not in his senses for days after Nicasia and Locke’s betrayal and rode into the palace school drunk out of his mind, it’s Jude and her voice that cuts through everything and brings him to his senses. He said the sight of her, of the hatred in her eyes, warmed him! He knew only her, even then.

Because he felt like she saw who he really is. He might have hated it at first because he’s been hurt so many times he didn’t want anyone seeing him for who he is beneath his mask, but this very thing also lead to him falling madly in love with her. So yes, this line is one of the truest and deepest things he’s ever spoken and I will love it to death. 😭😩

perhaps in all honestly more likely me than her, but if valentine's day exists she would be SUPER into it for sure, whether she understood it or not. i think she and kirby could be team Friend Hearts Everywhere and every year everybody else just wakes up February 1 to find that even their locked rooms were decorated in the night.

fwiw, i decided that i'll be celebrating this month by posting answers to various starstruck 'ship' prompts i've received! there'll be some comics, some single images, and so on!

i by no means have enough to fill the entire month yet, so i'm still taking suggestions, and i'll attempt to do as many as i can! i'm not sure if i can feasibly maintain One A Day but i'll do my best!
