Sometimes when I get an irrelevant and annoying comment on something I just go back to someone's blog and it is so so easy to tell most of the time whether they are engaging in good faith solutions-oriented ways and we just disagree or if they are merely disconnected from things.

The Time Lords as this profoundly tactile-free society. The Doctor over the regenerations wanting that contact, but the more emotion starts leaking into it, the more need, the more it hurts. All the moments where the Master and the Doctor have their most emotional connections being physical - Ten and Simm!Master in the wastelands, Twelve kissing Missy and bluescreening her, even little things like Thirteen and Dhawan!Master’s fight on the hill that makes him beam. When I say the Master needs a hug, I’m not trying to be cute, I could not be more literal. The Master getting genuine tactile affection would either fix him or kill him or both.

Listen to me. In the majority of "enemies" or "on opposite sides" media, I will end up choosing a side or leaning more towards a side bc they have the better viewpoint to me. But this movie. This goddamn masterpiece. It might really be the first piece of media of that kind where I didn't, couldn't. take any side!

Both their viewpoints are correct. Their fears and grief are spectacularly valid. They're equally powerful and capable of ending each other and their own enemies. They came very close to doing just that. Their step-down and alliance wasn't easy, reluctant, or as a last resort. It was hard earned and personally given.

It was so well written and so well acted and so so beautiful even in its most painful moments. On the edge of your seat the whole time. Not satisfied with any of them "losing".

I truly believe that watching that movie in cinema theaters for the first time with the right crowd must have been the best experience ever.

I don't think I will enjoy the basic "enemies" trop as much as before bc nothing will ever top that movie.

remember rewatching the part in strikers a couple years ago in which nanoha goes to save vivio, her adopted daughter, who is a girl of FIVE forced to become a magical super weapon no longer in control of her body and nanoha has to beam her so incredibly powerfully that nanoha becomes permanently disabled to a small degree and nanoha KNEW of that risk (could easily have been worse) and i was literally CRYING even with completely forgotten context because SOMEHOW this is just this series’ specialty where the most emotional moment is when Nanoha pulls it ALL OUT to stop somebody and in doing so saving them andhere it is extra powerful because vivio is calling out for nanoha to save her and nanoha can only do that by hurting her
