Do you think The Granny is actually The Lady's mother or is she just an old woman who lives in The Maw and they call her that because she doesn't really have a job?

Hallo!

So: no, I do not think the Granny and the Lady are related to one another - both by blood or otherwise.

What I've been recently pondering is the implications of her being a "contractor" (someone who works by themselves without being monitored by the workplace) as that's how the LN twitter referred to her when asked; she's not technically a Maw employee. We know the Lady knows she's down there as she has a picture of her, but none of the other staff does, so I suppose she was abandoned down there to be forgotten.

My current take is that she used to be an employee of the Maw and got left to die when the Depths were flooded. There is visual cues that the Dephts were not always meant to be as they are now, and have tons of forniture that can be seen both in the Residence and in the Guest Area; it's most likely that it also used to be a residential area as well.

Considering how prominent her hunger for both foods and human flesh is, I wouldn't disregard the possibility of her being a former Guest either. Maybe the sole survivor of the flooding?

The Maw

Six: "... ... ...he's okay :T" the Janitor: "Actually a polite kid. I like him!" the Twin Chefs: "Which one is Mono? The paper bag kid?" the Lady: "A wonderful child~" the Granny: "Poor, brave boy" the Runaway Kid: "This kid is so stupid sometimes, no wonder he's friends with Six."

Pale City

the Hunter: "He shot me!!" the Teacher: "He's a good boy. Does his homework. Violent temper though..." the Doctor: "Eh. Good lad..." the Thin Man: "Every time he calls me or the Lady 'mom' or 'dad', I have a heart attack"

What do you think about six is lady theory?

Tbh I don’t think it’s 100% solid, since ln 2 aspired the whole six is the lady. If that’s the case than RCG is the pretender and RK is the Granny, it just doesn’t make sense. Six and the lady have many differences while it made more sense for thin man to be mono bc they have similarities like their powers and movements, hell thin man even holds his side when mono is injured. Also, there’s a slow motion in time when mono and thin man are near each other and I’m assuming it’s bc they’re the same exact person thin is just old lol when six is near the lady nothing happens time is normal and it wouldn’t really make much sense if six……ate herself…? Ig all I’m saying is ln 1 isn’t about a timeloop ln2 is, ln1 focuses on sixs hunger and how they consume not how he’s stuck in a timeloop and forced to repeat the ln1 events over and over cuz that’s what ln2 is for. I think it would be very boring and uninteresting if Six was the lady cuz hunger and consumption is the main objective not a timeloop and who becomes who

Trust me I wish thin wasn’t mono but it makes sense on why he is

The Maw

Six: Just...stares at you...in tense silence. You both can feel your courage give way from the awkwardness the Janitor: Like Six, but eventually says "thanks". And maybe shuffles away in confusion the Twin Chefs: They're both mean about it. First, they'll ask which one you're referring to, and then laugh sarcastically at you. In truth, they probably appreciate it, but it was funny to them the Lady: Also like Six, she's stares at you, then walks away. You don't know what that means, and you end up chasing her at a safe distance the Granny: Laughs at tells you to try another line the Runaway Kid: Freezes and turns red really fast. He's kinda disgusted at it and wants to go drown himself

Pale City

Mono: The pickup line went over his head, but he got the crush confession. He spins on his toes and is happy the Hunter: "...Really?", and then scoffs and walks/storms off the Teacher: Is unimpressed at both tries. You have about 10 seconds to get out before she catches and punishes you the Doctor: Is kind of embarrassed that the pick up line worked on him and tries adamantly to keep on working the Thin Man: Has a smile so wide, it's creepy and scares you off. He catches you before you leave, and now you're at the mercy of the most annoying, love struck person in Pale City

The Nest

the Raincoat Girl: Giggles cutely, but then it turns into a full roll of laughter. She's both charmed and amused, and that's probably the only normal reaction on here the Craftsman: Gives you a thumbs up and a pat on the back for trying; but he's kicking out of his workshop after for disturbing him the Butler: Is embarrassed and angered immediately. Pray that he doesn't catch you with his telekinesis the Pretender: Didn't get the pick up line and asks the Butler what you meant. Read back to the Butler's reaction to see what happens next~
