I feel sort of weird tossing up the first chapter of a new multichapter fic when I have 1) two actively in-progress WIPs and 2) an exchange gift I haven't completely finished for the same fandom as the fic, but what's actually happened here is that I started writing what I thought was going to be a oneshot with several different vignettes in it back in December and have since decided to split it up, so now I have two already-completed chapters just sitting there

Anyways I could kind of use some "posting things" energy in my life right now, so I think I might throw the first chapter up sometime tomorrow and plead people's mercy re: "starting" something new before updating either of my other fics. Some of us just live our lives like this. Unfortunately.

how to create a Rust Belt Special:

step 1: identify your rusty hole area

step 2: apply spray foam. liberally

step 3: just like making a marble sculpture! shave off what doesnt look like a car shape

step 4: (optional, some skip straight to step 6) apply bodyfill. liberally

step 5: sand down your lovely bodyfilled spot into a car shape

step 6: slap some paint on that bad boy and call it done! now offload this car to some sucker immediately so you dont have to be confronted by your shame in the driveway everyday

disclaimer: i have not done this, my coworkers on the other hand are very proud of their past "bodywork" on various shitboxes to squeak them past one last inspection

#Spyro The Dragon #Ripto's Rage Soundscapes #sorry for the tone whiplash that's about to happen going from Breeze Harbor's flavour texts and Zephyr's next week #I actually did these two in reverse order from how the in-game Guidebook lists the levels #just b/c i tended to do Zephyr first when i played new files #so I did Zephyr with a heavy focus on the Active Battlefield status of the level #mostly b/c OG game's Zephyr is so. Kinda Bland And Barren Aside From That Context #that that's still what I mostly associated the level with even after finally finding out that Reignited's Zephyr has like #An Actual Tangible Theme And World Design #but then after doing all that and getting to Breeze Harbor #1. I had used pretty much all of the workable 'battlefield' sounds available on the site already #2. Breeze Harbor's enemies are just. Spraying Water as opposed to Shooting Missiles and Explosives #so there really isn't much I could do sound-wise to convey that #3. Breeze Harbor just has SOOOOOOOOO much going on in it to make audioscapes around #and not just in the context of the remakes! Finally went back and dealt with the Kitakami ogre clan in Teal Mask since Indigo Disk is coming out next week.
