Hey all; I'm Greg Sanchez, a 42-year old father who started this whole tumblr thing back 2020 after my and my husband's 9 year anniversary. I felt this would be a way to document my general lived experience from the ages of 18 to now.

You see, when I was 18, I was the victim of a hit and run incident (I was struck by a random truck that took off) that left me in a coma for two months, where I had dreamt I was the avatar for Huehuecoyotl, the Aztec trickster god.

Happy Birthday actor Joe McFadden born October 1975 in Glasgow.

Joe was educated at Holyrood R.C. Secondary School in Glasgow, where a drama teacher recognised his talent and recommended him for a part in Taggart aged just 12. He followed this with various Scottish stage, film and television roles including 24 episodes of the old Scottish soap High Road as Gary McDonald before the leading role Prentice McHoan in the excellent ‘The Crow Road"(for which he was nominated for a BAFTA) before moving to London and joining the original London production of the Tony award winning musical Rent as the narrator, Mark Cohen.

He has appeared in notable stage productions for The Royal Court, National Theatre Of Scotland and played the title role of ‘Aladdin’ at The Old Vic theatre opposite Sir Ian McKellen On television he has played many memorable roles in various hit television shows including the lead policeman, PC Joe Mason in ITV’s 'Heartbeat’ and also the brilliant trauma surgeon Raffaelo (Raf) Di Lucca in BBC hospital drama 'Holby City’

Joe  was killed off after 142 episodes of Holby he has since appeared in Ghost Seekers and is due to appear in a supernatural thriller, The House on Cold Hill as well as taking the lead role of The Prince/Beast in The Basingstoke Anvil’s pantomime Beauty and The Beast.

Joe is unrecognisable from his early days on screen as he often has a full beard, and just like myself, it is belying his age and flecked with plenty of grey whiskers. He is always in demand in theatres up and down the country  having starred in numerous stage productions.

Between 2006 and 2007 Joe played Caractacus Potts in a production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Edinburgh Playhouse, and in 2019 he portrayed Oliver Harcourt in a UK tour of The House on Cold Hill. At the moment he is in the muddle of a  national tour by The Original Theatre Company in their production of the Agatha Christie’s famous novel The Mirror Crack’d From Side to Side. The show comes to  Scotland at His Majesty's Aberdeen from 28 February - 4 March 2023.

Stanotte il mio cervello ha dato il meglio di sé nell'elaborazione degli input esterni che di norma gli fornisco involontariamente.

Ero in viaggio con madre verso Lucca e come sempre, non si vedeva granché del panorama intorno a causa della fitta nebbia che si riversava in ogni anfratto, e su qualunque strada. All'improvviso, dopo ore, decidiamo di fare una sosta in autogrill perché a detta del mio genitore poco distante dalla pompa di benzina adibita al rifornimento, vi era un locale insolito e ben fornito in cui sarebbe stato possibile degustare un'ottima cena. Ci accomodiamo in un angolo dalle pareti adorne di insegne luminose rosse e si presenta immediatamente un tizio sulla cinquantina che senza darci alcuna possibilità di replica, ci propone un menù stabilito a base di pan focaccia, verdure disparate e riso. Scettica sul da farsi, lancio un'occhiata furtiva a mia madre come per chiederle, senza proferir parola, in che diavolo di posto sia finita, ma vengo interrotta dalla stessa che mi esorta a scegliere tra le pietanze che sono state servite. opto per un saltimbocca blu spirulina, e il mix di verdure cotte in padella mentre lei ordina una coca cola. Poi improvvisamente la scena assume toni completamente diversi. Ci ritroviamo fuori, al riparo sotto i pilastri di un ponte altissimo, in attesa che smetta di piovere. La nebbia non c'è più, ha lasciato posto alla grandine e al vento impetuoso che agita gli alberi secolari intorno facendoli oscillare da una parte all'altra della carreggiata e uno stormo immenso di gabbiani se ne sta appollaiato in parte sul guardrail del ponte superiore, in parte sulla banchina. Alzo gli occhi al cielo e mi accorgo che stanno per sfidare la tempesta. Impaurita dalle condizioni atmosferiche decido allora di desistere dall'idea di raggiungere Lucca e sedendomi sui sedili posteriori dell'auto chiedo a mia madre di tornare indietro, a casa, perché il mio unico desiderio è quello di poter riabbracciare i miei nonni.
