“1. Fixing the mind on a place, object, or subject is attention.
This is called Dharana.
2. The continuance of this attention is contemplation.
This is called Dhyana.
3. This contemplation, when it is practiced only in respect to a material substance or object of sense, is meditation.
This is called Samadhi.
4. When this fixedness of attention, contemplation, and meditation are practiced with respect to one object, they together constitute what is called Sanyama. ...
5. By rendering Sanyama—or the operation of fixed attention, contemplation, and meditaiton—natural and easy, an accurate discerning power is developed.
This ‘discerning power’ is a distinct faculty which this practice alone develops, and is not possessed by ordinary persons who have not pursued concentration.
6. Sanyama is to be used in proceeding step by step in overcoming all modifications of the mind, from the more apparent to those the most subtle. ...

There are two trains of self-reproductive thought, the first of which results from the mind being modified and shifted by the object or subject contemplated; the second, when it is passing from that modification and is becoming engaged only with the truth itself; at the moment when the first is subdued and the mind is just becoming intent, it is concerned in both of those two trains of self-reproductive thought, and this state is technically called ‘Nirodha’.
10. In that state of meditation which has been called Nirodha, the mind has an uniform flow.
11. When the mind has overcome and fully controlled its natural incnlination to consider diverse objects, and begins to become intent upon a single one, meditation is said to be reached.”

THE GAYATRI MANTRA
From the Rig Veda scripture of Hinduism
The Gayatri Mantra, also known as the Savitri, is the most ancient mantra known to man. In Sanskrit, it is :
“Om bhur bhuvah svaha! Tat savitur varenyam bhargo devasya dhimahi dhiyo yo nah prachodayat.”
One English translation is :
“OM.
We meditate on the effulgent glory of the true Divine Sun that pervades earth, sky, and the heavens, from whom all proceed and to whom all must return. Shine as the light of Consciousness in our intellects and burn away our ignorance with the wisdom of the highest Truth.”
“Unveil, O Thou who givest sustenance to the Universe, from whom all proceed, to whom all return, that face of the true Sun now hidden by a vase of golden light, that we may see the truth and do our whole duty on our journey to thy sacred seat.”

Eleanor Williams
She’s a 22 year old woman from the UK. Back in May of 2020, she was 19 and made a post on Facebook to say that she was a victim of trafficking by an asian gang. According to her, this gang had groomed her, beaten her, blackmailed her, threatened her with weapons and took her to a house where they raped her. She even uploaded pictures to show the injuries that she’d sustained.
Her post garnered a lot of attention and as a result, there was a global solidarity movement called Justice for Ellie. That caused issues in her hometown, where police said there were over 150 crimes linked to the case in 2020 alone, including 83 hate crimes.
Her post sparked outrage in her home town of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, with public demonstrations targeting the local newspaper, the Asian community and police.
One restaurant had its windows smashed and fire alarms had to be installed at vulnerable premises, while journalists were threatened and one moved out of her home.
Racist graffiti was sprayed on walls, the local newspaper was boycotted and police officers were threatened.
The judge said the Facebook post caused what police described as a "turbulent" period in Barrow, in displays of public anger that had not been seen in the town for 30 years.
Even before May 2020, she had falsely accused men of raping her. The first man was Cameron Bibby in 2017. Williams was just 16 at the time and since than, Bibby has been harassed and had difficulty finding work.
There was also 43 year old, Mohammed Ramzan. He owns a local business and was accused by Williams of grooming her since she was 12. The 43-year-old was in tears as he revealed that his business was damaged and his reputation was “destroyed” while he and his family were targeted “in the most horrendous way.” He described attempting suicide as a result of the “mental torture” he experienced. “I have had countless death threats made over social media from people all over the world because of what they thought I was involved in,” he told the court. She also claimed that he put her to work in brothels in Amsterdam, and sold her at an auction there. She described punishment beatings, rape, a girl nearly dying as a result of a beating and another having a dog set on her. But the court heard that, at the time she was in the Netherlands, his bank card was being used at a B&Q in Barrow.
Oliver Gardner was just an electrician trainee, having only met her once when he was accused of raping her. He attempted suicide twice and was sectioned under the Mental Health Act due to the stress of Williams' accusation. Gardner described Williams as having “ruined his life” and prevented him from completing his studies.
There was also John Trengove. She accused him of raping her 3 times. he also attempted suicide and now has PTSD as a result of the ordeal.
In court, her lies began to unravel.
She did indeed go to Amsterdam. However, she had shared a hotel room with her sister and sister's boyfriend.
She had claimed that Blackpool was one of the places she had been raped by the asian gang. But that was determined to be a lie as well. At the time Williams said she was being raped by men in Blackpool, evidence showed she was staying in a hotel she had booked herself. She later admitted she had made this up, but claimed the men had forced her to tell the story to discredit her. When police made enquiries, they found she had travelled to the seaside resort alone and stayed in a hotel, where she bought a Pot Noodle from a nearby shop and then remained in her room watching YouTube on her phone.
At some point, she was given a phone by a woman’s shelter. She used that phone to send social media messages to herself and tried to make them appear as if they were from traffickers or other victims. Phone mast records showed that while texts were exchanged, the two mobile phones were in the same place - even when the defendant travelled to Scotland to see her father.
She claimed that starting at the age of 13, she was taken to sex parties in "Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Preston, everywhere" and made to have sex with numerous older men. More than 20 women Williams listed as present at sex parties all denied being there. The prosecution said Williams had either known the girls from school or found their details online.
Williams admitted she lied about being trafficked to Ibiza after police said they could check her travel records. She claimed she was taken to the island for two weeks where Mr Ramzan paid men to have sex with her. But in a police interview, she admitted this was false when police presented her with the possibility of having her travel records checked, the judge sentencing Williams said.
Furthermore, what she had said about her time in Amsterdam when Ramzan had trafficked her was very similar to a scene in a movie called Taken. In the movie, an ex-secret service agent's teenage daughter is abducted by human traffickers.
One of the final pieces of evidence that went against her was CCTV footage showing Williams purchasing a hammer at a Tesco that was later used to give herself self inflicted injuries. Police also found her DNA on the hammer at the scene
She was later sentenced to 8 and a half years of prison

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Rapper Q Money was found guilty of murder on Friday for the 2019 fatal shooting of another Cleveland artist in Decatur, Georgia, according to a statement from the office of the DeKalb County District Attorney.
Qamar Akee Williams, 26, of Avon, fatally shot Calvin “Scotty” Chappell, 24, of Euclid on Sept. 15, 2019. Williams was charged with malice murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to court documents.
Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer reached out to William’s family and attorney Michael T. Sterling for comments. Sterling is the husband of America’s Next Top Model star and actress Eva Marcille.
Williams and Chappell knew each other, as both men were aspiring rappers who had moved from Cleveland to the Atlanta area. In 2018, Williams scored a deal when he signed with Warner Bros. Records and Think It’s A Game Records.
The shooting happened at Chappell’s cousin’s home in the 3500 block of Lehigh Way.
The night before the shooting, Chappell, Williams and several other friends went out to a nightclub. The group returned about 5 a.m.
Chappell went to sleep, and Williams left to get food but returned shortly after 6 a.m., according to prosecutors. The incident was caught on surveillance. Williams walked up to Chappell, who was lying on an air mattress. Williams shot Chappell more than six times, prosecutors said.
Police found several fired bullet casings near Chappell’s body upon arrival. Chappell had also been shot in the head.
After the investigation, it was discovered that Williams tried to shoot and disable the camera before he shot Chappell. He also called one of his friends later that day and asked him to delete the video.
He turned himself in on Sept. 18, 2019.
The rapper did not provide a motive for the shooting.
A sentencing hearing for Williams is pending before DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Nora Polk, who presided over the case.
Williams gained popularity when his song “Work” reached more than 8 million views on YouTube.
In 2014, Williams was convicted of drug trafficking, according to court records. In 2018, seven people were shot and a man died while filming Williams’ rap video for his song, “Neat.”

Caption: At this point, the attorneys almost came to blows. Judge Richardson threatened to fine both attorneys for contempt of court. Attorney Williams' cross questioning was merciless. He asked many questions which tended to discredit the character of Uncle Bim, and while they were ruled out, it is believed they had considerable weight with the jury.

One English translation is
“OM. We meditate on the effulgent glory of the true Divine Sun that pervades earth, sky, and the heavens, from whom all proceed and to whom all must return. Shine as the light of Consciousness in our intellects and burn away our ignorance with the wisdom of the highest Truth.”

Criminals are not advertisers because it is contrary to successful business in their line, but they nevertheless get more free publicity than any other class in the community, said Col. C. E. Edgett, warden of New Westminster penitentiary, in half- humorous reply to the challenge to make "The Psychology and Treatment of Non-Advertisers" the title of his address before the Advertising and Sales Bureau of Vancouver Board of Trade on Monday,
"If there was less advertising of their exploits in the newspapers and more advertising of what happens when they are caught and when a Judge sends them to us it might be better all round," he observed.
"When newspapers report a criminal getting away after his crime it is apt to encourage someone else with the same notion even although all but a few are eventually caught," he commented.
Col. Edgett made strong plea for more public help in reinstating the criminal in society when he has left prison.
The fact that the average age of prisoners is constantly lower, the B. C. average now being 24 years, is all to the good, he said. Young offenders can be brought to a realization of the futility of their course.
The greatest single cause of present day criminality is lack of the right home training. They come from rich as well as poor homes and parents should be exceedingly careful how they criticize laws or flout them in their daily life because the young mind is thereby imbued with wrong ideas, he warned.
J. Q. Brandon, manager of the Williams Company, a new Vancouver industry making furniture polish, was the three-minute speaker telling of the success of his firm.
A tiny danseuse, Miss Miriam Schwabe of Victoria, was cheered for her clever dancing.
