Azure - my Yu-Gi-Oh! GX OC

Azure Cross is a talented duelist initially placed in the Obelisk Blue Dorm when he first enrolls at Duel Academy. While he is at first proud to be placed into Obelisk Blue, he soon realizes that many of it's students did not earn their way into it's ranks. As he observes talented duelists from the "Lower" Dorms, including Jaden Yuki, Azure abandons the Blue Dorm, deciding to judge others based on their skill rather than which color they wear, donning a Slifer Red Coat to mock the Academy's ranking system. When dueling, Azure uses a Monarch Deck.

Sometimes I forget that Azure was intended to be my main GX OC. Since Cain started as a side character and I began to give him more of a prominent role in my AU, Azure sort of took the opposite path. I once had plans for his own story arc, but that all shifted when Cain made his way into the "Main Character" position among my OC's. For now, he serves as a bit of a foil to Cain in that he is very serious and places a lot of importance on skill. He is never too proud to show a talented duelist the respect they deserve, and he believes that anyone can become a strong duelist if they work hard. His intimidating aura earns him few friends, but the few who get to truly know him see him as a fair and respectable ally. While Azure doesn't have much of an arc, he does have a distinct personality, which make him easy to place in many different situations and know how he will respond. Someday soon I hope to develop more of a role for him to play in my AU of GX. Thanks for reading and checking out my characters!

i have not posted my ocs on here in quite a while but figured i should try getting back in the spring of it starting with this guy due to recency

GX OC - Luren Soira Having been inspired by the Kaiser, Luren enrolled into DA, taking a chance to hone his skills into something brighter than before, perhaps in an effort to truly have aspirations to work towards. He's a user of Invoked. He can seem just a little abrasive at first, but when you get to know him, he can be capable of caring deeply for those close to him

He also writes poetry sometimes! Manjoume has asked to be taught his skill in hopes of getting better for reasons, but the Ra usually insists it works best from one's heart. (He already has it down 100%)

And while he definitely finds Judai and the gangs company nice, he tends to find the company of those more advanced in their field at times, such as the pros a little more to his interest although he'll absolutely be among the first to criticize them (Mostly Edo) regarding their actions at times (though this is More present around S2)

Also, his Lizard Tattoo is named Perico bc yes, sometimes you just give your tattoos names (even if you probably shouldn't have one at your age)

mini line up of some Dessa fits <3 some explanations/elaborations on each under the cut mwah.

Fresh outta spirit world: Born and raised in the spirit world of the plant spirits, specifically the sylvan realm she’s got a couple of outfits fit for the area. This is the outfit she wears when she first arrives in the human world.

Melffy Missy disguise: After arriving she gets into a series of unfortunate events that lead to her being chased until she finds a way into what turns out to be an old storage unit. Here she finds the Melffy Missy costume, a retired original mascot for a plushy company that focuses on duel monster plushies hence they referenced the Melffy archetype as a staple for their predominately cute line up. When she wears the costume she carries with her a mini chalkboard and doodles/writes to communicate since it’s impossible to talk with the big head.

Duel academy card shop: She first meets Mrs. Dorothy in her disguise and they connect while Dessa helps her out with some errands Dorothy came to Domino city for. Dorothy becomes a close aunt like figure for her and eventually takes her with her to the academy to take her under her wing. Without her Dessa would have had many misfortunes due to a lack of communication and cultural understanding of the world. For a long time though she only works in storage since the first being chased incident has left her a bit reluctant to show her face and prefers wearing the melffy missy disguise when interacting with other people since she feels the reaction from other people is more favourable.

Duel Monsters spirit day: Her costume for the samhain/halloween equivalent of yugioh! :D I wanted to refrain from a plant type since I also like other types but I suck at playing them, I’m a one trick pony and so is Dessa, that’s why she gets a little treat. The costume is of ‘’Spirit of the fall wind’’ a stand alone fairy type. Dessa saw the card once and found the artwork very charming. Dorothy teaches Dessa sewing which she’s really come to enjoy and both thought it would be a really easy beginner project to make herself due to the simplistic design! And she really wanted to try making it herself <3

Slifer Uniform: Due to her condition Dessa has to either regularly duel or make time for rituals and seek out secret spots to otherwise release her spiritual energy unnoticed. She starts out working in the card game shop under miss dorothy and eventually occasionally comes out of storage and works IN the shop, but since Dorothy herself has no idea how duelling works aside from putting cards on a surface and thus has nothing to teach Dessa in that department, she does at one point, makes the change to attend duel academy officially as a duellist so she actually knows what she’s doing and can more effectively utilise her deck to help her ailment.

day 1: introductions

i completely forgot this started yesterday, so imma day late, but here's my goober son <3

his name is joji yagami, he's part of the gx universe and was a osiris red before he graduated (cuz he does not gaf about card games). now he's a detective 3 years later, and gets into multiple hijinks with the other people in the office.

more bits of lore and goofy facts under the cut (also im very indecisive with his lore soo this will probably change later)

he's 21, around 5'1", a trans man, and bisexual

uses lunalights, and any other archetype that he thinks looks cute (wins by pure luck)

is an only child (as he knows of right now) so he is very pampered and is smug about everything

his hair is dyed, but will refuse to tell people what color it was originally

use to play bass in a band (stopped playing cuz it hurts his fingers)

is called a "lucky boy" by others around him (he has hilariously good luck in card games only tho)

is constantly teased by his friends (he will pout in the corner)

spaces out a lot, and usually zones out when people talk to him (he's only gonna be actively listening when they start talking about things he's passionate about)

he will start ranting about things he likes to anyone who's willing to listen (he will go on a hour long ramble about a random video game/manga)

hates eye contact, so he just stares at a random spot on someone (accidently makes them very uncomfortable)

chooses his words carefully around strangers, but is very blunt to people he considers close

tries to take advantageous of his looks (is aware he is cute but it rarely works cuz he has a terrible personality)

is very sensitive to others feelings, but is oblivious to any person showing interest towards him (thinks any affection he receives is platonic)

a bit of a coward when things get hairy (has the ability to fight but is very lazy...)

he will only take things seriously when doing investigations for his detective work (most of the time, he gets distracted by the other people he brings with him who are usually nuisances)

Cain - my Yu-Gi-Oh! GX OC! Cain Grayson is a fun-loving new Slifer Red student at Duel Academy who harbors a dark secret. When dueling, he seems to black out, taking on a dark persona which leaves his defeated opponents comatose. This strange shift in personality could be tied to the mysterious deck of cards his father gave him or, possibly, his Ace Monster, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon.

Seemingly afraid of dueling, Cain avoids it whenever possible, earning him a less-than-stellar reputation among other students. Due to the awful things that seem to happen when using his father's Deck, Cain often attempts using decks of haphazardlythrown-together cards, frequently resulting in his defeat. He later discovers that his father's deck - the Dark World Deck - is possessed by Grapha, the Dragon Lord of Dark World. Grapha has been taking over Cain's body during duels and harvesting souls to feed the power of the Dark World. Eventually picking up on Cain's dilemma, Jaden challenges Grapha to a duel to stop his reign of terror on the Academy. Jaden manages to gain the advantage during their duel, but is hesitant to strike the finishing blow for fear of what will happen to Cain, whose body and spirit Grapha still holds hostage. Wrestling for a brief moment of control, Cain sabotages Grapha's strategy and urges Jaden to deal the finishing blow. Jaden attacks and ends the duel, but Cain's soul is lost in the process as he sacrifices himself to save his friends. Trapped in the Dark world, Cain's Spirit is eventually greeted by the silhouette of a person who offers him a new deck of cards - the Gem-Knights. Using this newfound power, Cain challenges his captor to a final showdown. With the Gem-Knights' help, Cain is victorious in destroying Grapha and earning his escape from the Dark World. He awakens to find himself in the hospital wing of the Academy, still clutching the Deck of Gem-Knight Cards. Thank you for reading! This is a highly abridged description of Cain's Character arc. No idea- I absolutely love making bitchy asshole characters so much. Anyway, Kore's own rival, Cytherea Megami, again. In season one is viewed as top dog, nobody dares to cross her or she will kick you in the face. She can easily hold her own, she uses other people to do her work but if need be, she'll stab her high heels into anyone if need be to get her shit done. Basically is fucking worshipped and feared. Either people love her or hate her. Appearance wise, very mean girl like. She is very petty and vain, even in later seasons she surives the events purely through large amounts of spite. She will live for long as her enemies are alive, she needs to outlive them.
