Sukuna was so lost in thought he couldn't do any of his work right, having to retype emails that he kept messing up on and reorganizing his paperwork.

His stress was rising to more than what he would like it to be. He didn't know what to do now. His wife had come back too early that put an obstacle in his plans with you.

That night he didn't come to see you now that his wife was back home he needed to attend to her needs but when she escaped to the showers he took the moment to go into another room to call you. hi! no rush in answering this and I hope it all works out with your job, sending good vibes. I wanted to ask for some advice as my partner hss AFRID and (probably) anorexia. they've been refered for help for the AFRID stuff specifically and they (for very valid. and obvious reasons) don't feel comfortable opening up to drs about the other loads of eating problems they have. Now they are being monitored and freaked about abt the need to gain weight etc

Im helping them as best I can but it feels very us 2 (and our friends) vs the rest of the world plus that I feel I'm p much winging random stuff that Might help see what sticks. We are trying to find some middle ground were they can make some "progress" so they aren't coerced into something they really don't want to do by drs and so they can have a little more energy etc etc.

We are also both still living at our parents and it's all just not ideal. rn. Any advice at all would help really, is there anything I should do and anything I really shouldn't? just typing it up to someone who won't tell me to force them to get themselves admitted is already a relief tbh thank u for ur work on harm reduction <3

Hey anon! Thanks for reaching out. It can be so hard to find any information about how to support people with eating disorders that isn't just "Go get professional treatment right now," so I will do my best to share some stuff that we've been talking about in my harm reduction + peer support networks!

Correct me if I'm retyping your situation incorrectly, but my understanding of what you shared is that your partner has ARFID and is also having other struggles with eating more related to anorexia in terms of fears about weight gain, body image, etc. Their doctors know about the ARFID and are receiving some sort of treatment for the ARFID, but the treatment is triggering some more of the anorexia stuff because of the increased monitoring.

This sounds like a difficult situation for both your partner and you as a support person, and I can understand how stressful it is to have to worry about coercive treatment on top of trying to figure out ways to cope with disordered eating in the first place. It sounds like you've been doing a really good job supporting your partner and listening to what they need, and trying out lots of different things to see what's helpful for them. I'll share some tips, but as always, what works for one person won't work for another! Asking your partner and collaborating with them to figure out what their exact needs and wants are is always going to be the most important.

@librarycards just made a post about harm reduction in eating disorders that I'm going to link to. I'm not going to restate everything they wrote, but one thing they talk about is identifying what feels like a necessity that can't be changed right now, and what things feel like there could be some wiggle room and space for change right now. If your partner is open to it, it might be helpful to sit down and make a list of what kind of eating disorder behaviors feel absolutely necessary right now that can't be changed, and what things feel more flexible. I think it's really important to be able to do this nonjudgmentally--a lot of eating disorder recovery spaces argue that "recovery" is all or nothing, and that allowing any kind of eating disorder behaviors is a failure. It can be really important to use a harm reduction approach to identify goals that actually feel doable for us, instead of saying the only option is to stop every eating disorder behavior and mindset 100%. That will look different for everyone, but explicitly giving yourself permission to continue some eating disorder behaviors can sometimes help people meet other goals around energy, quality of life, etc that are important to them. I know for me, having both ARFID and anorexia made it incredibly difficult to try to focus on dealing with both at the same time. I completely stopped trying to focus on any ARFID goals in increasing variety or challenging sensory needs, and instead just focused on figuring out coping skills and how to meet the energy needs for my body. Giving myself permission to only eat safe foods, ignore social norms around food, etc, helped me a little bit with figuring out how to cope with some of my restrictive urges. It might be worth figuring out with your partner what goals feel like priorities at the moment, and making a plan together.

Another thing that I found super helpful in my own journey with the ARFID and anorexia combo was learning about fat liberation and discussing it with other people. Basically all mainstream eating disorder treatment doesn't bother to spend anytime talking about fat liberation or fatphobia, and usually actually perpetuates a lot of fatphobia. I think that being able to dismantle the societal ideas we learn about weight gain, fatness, and diet culture is super important for everyone, and I think that for disorderly eaters, it can also be super important to track how that influences our own self-understanding of our eating. This list by Rachel Fox is a great starting point for fat liberation resources. For me, it was super helpful to be able to read through articles and books about fat liberation and discuss them with other people, and build a political understanding of fatness that allowed me to connect what I was reading to my experience with disorderly eating. If this is something that your partner is interested in, having someone to learn + read with can be super impactful.

I think it can also be crucial to think about your own boundaries and needs as a support person. You are not in charge of "fixing" your partner and your partner does not need to be "fixed." You're allowed to not know the answers to things, need to take breaks to support yourself, and to also be going through difficult times. Both you and your partner's autonomy is important, and figuring out ways to support without feeling responsible or trying to control each other can be really crucial. I can tell how much you care about your partner and it sounds like you're doing a really incredible job with all the ways you're providing care. If either of you ever feels like you need a space in your life to talk about this, ANAD offers peer support groups both for people living with eating disorders and for family/friends of people living with eating disorders.

Other than that, there's not a ton I can think of for things you should or shouldn't do, since it seems like you have pretty good insight into major things to avoid (forcing people into hospitalization, making fatphobic comments, reinforcing diet culture, forcing recovery) and are doing a lot of things right (asking your partner what they need, trying things out and being flexible, making room for harm reduction style goals instead of only "recovery.") Keep asking your partner how to support them, collaborate with them on the best ways to provide them care, and continue being there for them through this hard time.

a latine voter here: its not that quetzalcoatl is a dragon but more that quetzalcoatl can very easily fit into the category depending on how you define dragon imo? like if you were to ask me to list dragons i would probably not immediately say quetzalcoatl, but like, feathered serpent deity is really giving dragon, yknwo?

Answering this now since the fiona vs Quetzalcoatl poll is over (n im extremely surprised he won in the end like i really thought fiona would be the final round vs ace ppl irl) anyways

I agree!! Quetzalcoatl to me and many others is not a dragon but a feathered serpent n deity.

For me in particular I didnt see the relation of Quetzalcoatl being added as a dragon and a dragon species? type? sub-type? until it started appearing in media like video games and anime. Not that they appear often or are popular enough for it imo but in the few ones its more in the dragon dep. or divine dep. (bonus points for showing my bestie anime dragon girl Quetzalcoatl* to induce dmg)

*if ur curious i showed her both Lucoa from Dragon Maid** and Quetzalcoatl FGO **I wanna say search Lucoa out of ur own will but id rather not send minors that could be reading this towards that anime so trust me when i say her designs is a fanservice big breasted character type and her dragon form imo resembles more a chinese dragon without limbs and shitty wings. I also think it gets included into the dragon category bc it helps fill a gap in like "world dragons" if that makes sense. If you told me a giant reptile with wings id be yeah sure thats a dragon bc it fits.

But idk if its bc i grew up with subeta that has a feathered serpent pet species I would again not think yeah thats a dragon but yeah thats a snake.

Actually when i saw the coatls from fr i did not make the immediate connection at ALL (also fandomwise i saw them linked more to cats so i was like yeah makes sense KLJHLDKFJSAHLKJGH)

Now i gotta show one of my favorite designs in modern media for Quetzalcoatl comes from Las Leyendas***. LOOK AT THIS MAN!!! ITS SO COOL AND POWERFUL!!

***Las Leyendas was a very good show dripping with pride for its roots but i have to mention that they did have an episode with a w*ndigo and its been a long time so i cannot remember if there were other insensitive depictions of other cultures.

In this show he's the big bad but he's a complex deity he's the god of the wind and fertility!! and crops!! He's complex!! But he's not a dragon.... to me.

Now all this said and done take my opinion with a grain of salt because, while I am latine I am not of Aztec Descent or Mexican (my bestie is tho and when i asked they too didn't consider Quetzalcoatl a dragon but a serpent). In general I am always overjoyed n excited to just see him and just latam pantheon/characters around. I had slightly more typed but i had to retype this like 3 times bc tumblr didnt save. I really do appreciate the ask i was excited when i got it n wanted to respond immediately thank you for sharing!!

Againn i was the Anon from this post where i sent an ask to @snzdreams //im just retyping it here for easier reference if i ever wna write anything

So G/eto and G/ojo again, this time fighting over who's going to clean the storeroom

Naturally, both didn't want to do it, so G/ojo suggested a little challenge between the both of them. He takes out two identical pieces of bubblewrap (it's anyone's guess where he got those from) and explained the rules

Without physically touching the bubblewrap, the one who popped the most bubbles would get to run off free from the duty

(remember back to the time G/ojo in s1 crushed/blasted? and twisted a can in front of Y/uji to explain cursed energy)

G/eto: "Just one thing, S/atoru, obliterating the wrap doesn't count as popping all of them, all right?"

G/ojo: "Picky, but fine, I won't"

One blast from rach later, G/ojo won by 3 bubbles. Yes, he counted.

Of course, a quick glance at the duty list will show G/ojo as the rightful person to clean the storeroom that week, G/eto knew that (of course he did)

He also knew that he would have lost the game (of couse he did)

But sure, he'd humour G/ojo a little

Having been cleaned every week, it was less of the dusting and more of the arranging that needed to be done. However, a box on the very top shelf stood out to G/eto.

It was dusty, he could tell, even from where he was standing

G/ojo made sure he had the upper-hand in the little competition they had, so how was G/eto going to sit back and not get back at him?

"S/atoru-"

G/ojo: "Hm?" instant reply

G/eto smiled to himself. Despite the whole show of "I don't want anything to do with that storeroom cleaning shit, im exhausted!!" talk he was giving earlier, G/ojo was still waiting outside for him to be done, of course, instead of going back to the dorms to rest

G/eto: "There's a box i can't reach, on the top shelf"

He heard G/ojo let out an amused laugh: "Coming, coming-"

He watched as G/ojo reached for the box, barely even focusing on it as he talked to G/eto who was behind him

G/ojo: "You know, S/uguru- drinking more milk might h-hH'!! ..help"

G/eto silently amused: "Maybe you're right, but I'll have to rely on you for now"

He watched as a layer of dust from the shelf was pushed off the edge, falling gracefully as a layer upon the other

G/ojo: "W-hH' ah- S/uguru, wait- wwait can you hold the box real quu'hH!!"

G/eto: "Can't. I need to drink milk, remember?"

Cue the snezing, maybe S/atoru shaking when he snezes knocks additional dust off the top of the box, and Gojo is just sent into fit after fit. (he also can't cover, both hands occupied, so, so yk)

Eventually of course G/eto takes pity on his friend, reaches out and places the box onto a lower shelf (Gojo slowly brought it lower and lower with every snez anyway)

G/eto: "We should really get a stepping stool in there"

G/ojo: "And tish'hH- ..tissues"

So that's the end, though i had originally thought of a different ending for this little thing, in which G/eto is the one who gets set off from the dust (ofc the dusty box is on a lower shelf here)

i wanna be like hmmm they need new writers/editors but also i dont know any writers/editors i like. alas. get rid of them though

um at one point in time i wrote out a list of 52 titles if i got to pick them (ongoing and selections for miniseries) but i need to retype it.

retcon Every thing that happened to cosmic dc after 2001 and maybe a few things before that even. i mean anything space related new gods/green lantern/omega men/r.e.b.e.l.s. and like uh whatever the title cap comet was in the early 2000s where old scifi characters would show up to be miserable and die. i know adam strange was involved in all of those things pretty much except GL but i dont know if adams own stories also took a downfall bc i havent read them. i finished r.e.b.e.l.s. vol 2 the other week and im still thinking about it a LOT!!!!!!!!

darkseid is banned from all stories that arent fourth world focused. AUs included

i think my writing goals this year are reasonable actually bc. redrafting main novel is just writing the same book ive been writing all my life but with a working list of patch notes. literally smooth sailing even if the length means it'll take me the better part of the year to get thru. tge is already edited on paper i just have to retype it in scrivener it can be a fun weekend project if i can break away from [other stuff] mute city heaven nano self-explanatory. getting the main draft done by october is ideal then i can preplan a little, do nano [except i will be in japan but im not thinking abt that rn] and tge minor can be a fun end of the year wind-down project

2. If you had to give up your keyboard and write your stories exclusively by hand, could you do it? If you already write everything by hand, a) are you a wizard and b) pen or pencil?

I'd like to write only by hand T_T It really is much more comfortable to me and I have a clearer view since even if I cross something out I don't delete it completely like on the computer. I don't think I'd be strong enough to retype everything into the computer tho.

16. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever used as a bookmark?

First of all I barely ever use actual bookmarks XD Like I have a few beautiful ones but I usually just grab whatever is the closest - my phone, a pen (I once used a pen as a bookmark and then put this book under some other and it bended very badly x)), toilet paper, a shirt, my plate... What exactly is the border of weird here???

It’s got episodes on literally every subject so I find myself making connections to it very often lmao

Idk if the writers ran out of ideas or anything (yes) but who makes episodes about zombies and vampires in the early 20th century (and try to justify it within the time period) unless you've exhausted every other avenue-

(The zombies: a guy had been testing lobotomies on prisoners and marketing it as a solution to society (basically eugenics aka not good (like human rights violations not good)))

(The vampire: a guy was,, basically grooming schoolgirls? And making them give blood to his son who had [a blood illness] (it’s been a while I don’t remember the specifics))

I swear I might make a list of all the random subjects they chose for each episode (golfing, stamp collectors, cricket, football (soccer), the first planes, underwater trains, early electricity, and nuns, to name a few- also that Christmas special that was,,, smth lmao- (themes: the magic of Xmas or smth and also a mythical creature Bigfoot situation lmao- plus that one scene at the end where the evil capitalist man sees children asking him to be generous and suddenly decides that, - even though for the whole movie this hasn’t touched him in any way and without any character development shown that would explain such a change, - he wants to actually be nice to the kids and ✨restores the magic of Christmas✨ or something)
