I’m working on “Queen Wasp” which means a Chloe akuma! I rotoscoped these options a while ago to show my patrons. The top row follows Chloe’s canon M.O. of inverting an existing hero, and the bottom leaned into some royal vibes, but none of these are the final look.

another thing I like about Chlonette is the fact one of them gives too much, and one of them takes too much.

Marinette gives too much of herself to other people, be it as her or Ladybug. She gives and gives and gives. It's concerning sometimes but it's kind of second nature to her.

Give. Be kind. Help.

Meanwhile, Chloe takes and takes. Takes a lot of power, takes a lot of time from her friends, takes a lot of things she can't promise. It's how she grew up, it's how she's taught to survive.

Take. Be one step ahead. Win.

But then it's them facing each other. Marinette tries giving and Chloe tries taking. But what could Marinette give to her rival? Pastries? She has money for that. Gifts? She could just order her butler. Friendship? She's...not sure but she tries.

Chloe tries to take it. She can't.

She tries again but it keeps slipping off her fingertips. She's getting frustrated, what was she doing wrong?! She was doing everything the people around her taught and did and yet she couldn't take what Marinette was giving. She couldn't keep it.

Marinette is getting agitated. Chloe isn't taking what she's giving and it feels wrong and strange. So she tries again and again, and again.

There's a boundary and suddenly they're more distant than close.

Chloe starts giving, but only to her. Only to Marinette. She starts giving what she has which she's aware isn't much. She looks down at her hands and she wished she wore her heart more on her sleeve.

And Marinette? She takes what she's given. She takes and takes. Even if it's small, even if it hurts a bit.

so, y’all mean to tell me that felix, the dude who WILLINGLY worked with a terrorist, harassed ladybug, manipulated his “darling” cousin, knows that his uncle is a terrorist, and that his aunt is dead in a basement, can be redeemed because he had two angsty scenes with sentimonsters and his dad is a piece of shit, but lila and chloe are irredeemable monsters who are unlovable, and they are pure evil even though they have the almost exact same writing as felix? feminism my ass

and before some of y’all come in with nathalie, that is ONE female character that was redeemed (and had a shitty redemption). we still have audrey and andre, who the latter gets redeemed even though he ACTIVELY abused and neglected chloe. then we have gabriel, who was an active abuser who can get redeemed, but sure, bring up ONE redeemed female go try and disprove my point that miraculous is actively misogynistic and isn’t the feminist-inclusive show it claims to be.

Adding on because of my tism brain, it’s not even like I’m mad that Chloé isn’t being redeemed. I can live with the villain or whatever they’re trying to go with Chloé and Lila, but it’s just really odd that He Who Shall Not Be Named, will say that characters who do xyz actions cannot be redeemed, but redeems two male characters who have done said actions, while demonizing two female characters.

I could even live with the Felix redemption if his actions weren’t as horrible as they are, but I cannot change have canon. Some one rip this show from my hands before I actually lose my mind (it’s been seven fucking years)

random but that episode where it’s revealed to ms bustier that chloe’s been having sabrina do all her homework for most of their lives -> i truly do not believe that they were trying to make fun of chloe for having a learning disability. in fact I don’t think they were trying to assert that she had any sort of disability at all, to me it was more so commentary on like. corruption. aka how the Rich have so much money and power that it ends up shooting themselves in the foot and they and their children and generational wealth pushes out people who don’t apply themselves. because if you can buy up the inventions of smart poor people, why bother being smart yourself? many easy irl examples that parallel the situation here but yeah I felt marinette standing up being like hey why the fuck are we going out of our way for her is essentially them saying we shouldn’t make excuses for how the 1% operates, and give them concessions when the 99% who actually need it get overlooked. obviously you don’t have to interpret it that way but ngl take one look at astruc’s retweets (or idk the state of society) and tell me he wasn’t trying to make a comment about capitalism

Hello there everyone, and welcome back to...well, it says so on the tin! For those unaware, I've been off Tumblr for a little while now, mostly to focus on writing and updating my biggest Miraculous fic to date! A Case of Ladybug Luck! Now, now, I know what you're gonna say. "I have no idea what you're talking about", so allow me to enlighten you! Have you ever wanted a fake death AU inspired by Nine Lives and Cut My Life to Pieces? Welp you've got it here! And yes I am shamelessly self-promoting instead of ranting, but I genuinely love how this AU is turning out and want to share with everybody! So...do you guys like angst? Becuse I do! And I like character drama too! So please, follow me to the fic where Marinette f*cking dies (allegedly), Adrien is a bigger furry than half of canon, Chloe gets a more realistic character arc, Lila is a psychopath, and everybody needs a therapist!

It is...uh, worth mentioning that this AU is...over 283,000 words long and...we're only half done. And yes, the reason I'm posting is because I want to rant about it! Expect snippets, discussions (anon asks are open btw) and also ranting about characters! Seriously the amount of psychoanalisis Gabriel has been through in this fic is downright criminal. For me. Because I have research to do! Listen the point is that I have twenty seven pages of character analysis notes in my drafts and those have to go *somewhere!*

In conclusion, I plan to rant about this AU. A lot. So if you could do me a favor and check it out at least to see if it's your cup of tea, I'd be really happy! chloe is very clearly meant to be the dark parallel to kirika (most evident when we see kirika in true noir mode), but altena is meant to be the dark parallel to mireille.

(and altena's relationship with chloe is meant as a warped sort of parallel to mireille's relationship with kirika. altena pretends to love chloe, but if her hate can save quote is correct, she never truly loved her and only used her as a means to an end. mireille, from the beginning, intentionally said she was using kirika as a means to an end and pretended to hate her, but ended up truly loving her.)

Fun fact about my MLB Animalverse: the fuzzies on bees (and some wasps) are their pride and joy.

Taking care of their fuzzies are quite expensive since they are very delicate. Finding any good quality of supplies is quite difficult, since the resources are limited and can be very taxing to make/gather.

So! Lots of worker bees (and wasps as well) have less fuzz because they simply don’t have enough supplies to take care of their own fuzzies.

And given with how does the rankings of the bee/wasp colonies work, it’s only natural that the higher ranking bees/wasps have better access to the supplies/resources.

And of course, the Bourgeois family are the wealthy family so they naturally have the better access to the supplies for taking care of their fuzzies.

Not only that, their fuzzies are very, very delicate (I cannot emphasize this enough)-like their antennas are very sensitive- and if someone tries to rip them off, it would cause excessive pain to the bee/wasp. It’s also very insulting to the bee/wasp because they basically ripped their ‘dignity’ away.
