2 batx (2023 iraila- 2024 maiatza) Aurtengoa da Santa Teresako ikasle gisa egin dudan egonaldiko urterik garrantzitsuena, azken ikasturtea baita, eta, horrekin, nire ikaskideekin eman nituen une on guztiak eraman ditut, batez ere lagunenak, niretzat egon direnak, eta alderantziz, 4 urte hauetan zehar, haien adiskidetasuna eskertzen baitut.
ikasturte hau, azken ikasturtea denez, garrantzitsuenetako bat da, argi baitago ikastetxeak berak eta ikaskideek ematen duten etapa baten amaiera markatzen duela. Batxilergoko bigarren maila amaitzea oso garrantzitsua da nire adineko edozein neraberentzat, horrek errutinazko aldaketa nabarmena baitakar.
hau hilabete baino gutxiagoan amaitzen bada eta irailean beste erakunde batera joan behar baduzu, dela gradu batera, unibertsitatera edo zuzenean lan batera, ezagutzen ez duzun jendearekin, zaila da aurre egitea, batez ere zerotik hastea ikastetxean zauden denbora guztian eraikitzen aritu zaren zerbait, hau da, gizarte-zirkulu bat sortzea eta familia izatera iritsiko den giro bat egotea. Izan ere, ni DBHko lehen mailan iritsi naizela esatea nire klaseko pertsona batzuek parbulitoetatik elkarrekin daramate eta oso lotura sendoa duen zerbaitetik bereiztea zaila da.

kaixo! aurrekoan Arabako euskarari buruz galdetu zuenari (mapei buruz): Euskaltzaindiak mapa hauek egiterakoan orain arte mantendu diren-edo euskalkiei bakarrik erreparatu die, eta Araban (Nafarroako toki batzuetan bezalaxe) bertakoa zen euskalkia galdu egin da. alde batetik ados nago mingarria dela batuaren mespretxu hori, baina beste alde batetik, nik ulertzen dudan moduan batua euskalki guztiek osatzen dute. adibidez, bai "gabe" bai "barik" dira batua, nahiz eta jendeak pentsa dezakeen ezetz. orduan, mapa horiek egiterakoan erabili dute batua ez dena, horiek osatzen baitute batua eta batuaren barruan barietate asko daudelako ez direnak "historikoak", nolabait esateko. dena den, ziurrenik adineko jendea erabiliko zuten eta jada herri horietako jendeak hitz batzuk ezberdin esaten ditu. orduan... iruditzen zait bai batua bai gazteagoen hizkera mespretxatzen dela askotan ez delako hain "purua", eta agian ondo legoke Araba etab. ere kontuan hartzea, gazteak ari garelako euskara egiten - dela batua, dela euskalkia. ez dakit oso ondo azaldu dudan esan nahi nuena 😅
Kaixo, anon!
Bai, argi ta garbi utzi duzu!
Ados gaude ia denarekin. Gure ustez, batua mapetan sartzea pixkat ezertarakoa da, ezta? Hau da, Euskaltzaindiak suposatzen du mapa horiek konsultatzen ditugunak euskaldunak garela eta guztiok batua - gutxi gorabehera - kontrolpean daukagula. Esan duzun bezala, euren helburua da euskalki ezberdinen hitzak ez galtzea eta gure hiztegia - batuaz egiten dugunarena - zabaltzea, ezta?
Ez dugu uste aukera horrekin batua nolabait mespretxatzen ari direnik, egia esan, baina bai pena handia dela Arabako euskalkia galdua izatea.
Azkenean, dena euskara da eta batua hobea dela defendatzea edo euskalkiak puruagoak direla esatea tontakeri hutsa da, hizkuntza biziak aldatzen eta eboluzionatzen direlako.
Besarkada bat!

“I like stuff that gets a little messy,” says Warpaint guitarist Theresa Wayman. We met up with the LA-based heavy psych rockers before their show at Cleveland’s Beachland Ballroom to learn more about the gear behind their lysergic, acid-drenched guitar sound. Wayman coaxes a surprising variety of tones from her Spartan rig - a JHS Sweet Tea feeds a pair of EHX Pitch Forks, which run into a Catalinbread Adineko, into the Dispatch Master reverb and delay. “I love [the Dispatch Master] because it just creates a lot of wash and tail, and I need that,” she says.

Had a fun jam last night. Digging this feel, check it out. Rig is a @fender Hendrix strat through a @roland_us JC40 solid state amp. I always add @jhspedals Morning Glory overdrive for some clean crunch and @catalinbread adineko delay for some more vibe and reverb. Those are staple pedals in my opinion. “Arimen gaua”, Basque Halloween
Tumblr media
Halloween Euskal Herriko ohitura zela diozu. Noiz arte eta nola ospatzen zen? Atzorarte ospatu da Euskal Herrian. Elgoibarren bertan, galdetu adineko jendeari, eta baietz agertu bat baino gehiago gaztaroan ospatu duena. Noski, ez zen izen horrekin ospatzen. Arimen gaua esaten zitzaion gehienetan, baina hain zuzen ere horixe da Halloween-ek esan nahi duena, “arima guztien gaua”. Urriak 31, azaroak 1-2 inguruan ospatu izan da arimen gaua, Domu Santu egunari lotuta beraz. Gaztetxoek ortuetan kalabazak eta arbiak harrapatu, hustu, zuloak egin, eta kandelak jartzen zizkieten bide bazterretan zintzilikatu eta jendea beldurtzeko. Izarak eta trapuekin mozorrotu eta ilunpetan herritarrak beldurtzen ibiltzen ziren gazteak. Zenbait tokitan eske errondak ere egiten ziren, gaztainak, intxaurrak eta horrelakoak eskatuz.
Zergatik galdu da Euskal Herrian Halloween ospatzeko ohitura? Euskaldunok uste dugu gure erroak, gure kultura, gure tradizioa jaso, ezagutu eta biziarazten eredugarriak garela, eta euskara jartzen dugu horren adibide. Praktikan kolonizazio eta asimilazio kulturalak inguruko herriei bezala eragiten digu, eta gainera baserritar moduan geratzeko beldurrez pozez zoratzen gaude Ameriketatik datorren azken moda txorora apuntatzeko horrek moderno eta kosmopolita itxura emango digulakoan. Arimen gaua aspergarria, zaharrunoa eta demodea iruditu zitzaigun, eta ospatzeari utzi eta inoiz ospatu izan genuenik ere ahaztu genuen. Orain festa bera Amerikarra delakoan eta merkataritza industriaren inbutuarekin datorrenez gazteak txoratzen ditugu ospatzeko. Etxean trapu zahar batekin mozorrotzeari ez diote graziarik ikusten gazteek, ostera, txinoan zahar itxurako plastikozko mozorro erridikuluagatik 30 euro ordaintzea oso festa dibertigarria da.

English translation
You say Halloween was common in Euskal Herria. Until when and how was it celebrated? It was celebrated in Euskal Herria until yesterday. In Elgoibar, go ask elder people: more than one will tell you they did celebrate it when they were young. Of course, it wasn’t celebrated with that name, most of the times it was known as souls’ night, but  that’s exactly what Halloween means. Souls’ night was usually celebrated around October 31st and November 1st-2nd, and it was related to All Saints’ Day. Young people would take pumpkins and turnips from vegetable gardens, hollow them out, make some holes, and put some candles into them, then they would hang them at the crossroads to frighten people. Disguised using sheets and rags, young people walked around towns scaring their neighbours. In some places, they also went out asking for chestnuts, walnuts, and such.
Why the tradition of celebrating Halloween was lost in Euskal Herria? We Basques consider that we’re an example at collecting, knowing and relighting our roots, our culture and our traditions, and one of our examples is Euskara. In practice, cultural colonization and assimilation affect us as much as to other peoples around us, and, besides, since we fear to be seen as hillbillies, we gladly jump into the latest crazy “it thing” come from the USA thinking that following it will make us seem modern and cosmopolitan. Souls’ night seems boring, old and démodé to us, and we’ve forgotten not only that we used to celebrate it, but that it ever existed. Today, young people want to celebrate since it’s surrounded by a merchandising industry and they think it comes from the USA. Young people don’t see making a costume with old rags as something appealing, however, paying 30€ in a Dollar Store for a ridiculous costume of an old man made of plastic is a very fun celebration.
