First and foremost, please be respectful and polite when requesting something, also be mindful that I might not pick yours. As I'm currently doing this for fun in my free time between work and uni and not for money, you should know that I mostly pick ideas that I find interesting or that I think will make a good story. No hard feelings, most of my requests have been very kind. There have been a few rude or demanding ones, but I paid those no mind.

im curious since ive heard how lax-ish the teaching is at csm but did you teach yourself deluzian philosophy or was it something you picked up in class 👀

csm sucks don’t go! i taught myself through fragmented videos and readings and im still very behind where i want to be philosophy-wise (I haven’t contextualised his work with predecessors at all, and indeed I don’t think i know how to READ philosophy all that well). we had like one random reading from cap and schizophrenia at some point for one rally cool lecture about cronenberg’s crash, but they spent like 10 min max on explaining who d&g are. my course at csm (ccc) is like paying 20k a year for what philosophytube et al give you for free

…and sitting in a cold room of people your age who a) actually believe this is rigorous education b) feel like they have the merit to have informed and worthy ‘thoughts’ when the teacher asks us to speak on the topic at hand which we have only had 30 minutes of exposure to… can be extremely jarring and dis pleasurable

they do introduce you to new theorists and fun words reallt well. I know harraway because of school and stuff. but it doesn’t go any further than that . My favourite part of my education was dissertation because i happened to have a fantastic tutor that treated me like a peer and was willing to talk about life circumstances and how that affects my piece, and I got to meet with him weekly. Otherwise it’s a joke and seeing people take it seriously reallt hurts my eyes and brain. Graduation a couple days ago was so funny hahahaah

Obviously fashion and fashion adjacent courses are different in rigour. and i snuck into a graphics lecture and it was still very easy and basic for somethign 3rd year, but it was something! and in a real lecture hall! Ccc and culture and enterprise department in general tho… babe.. No

Il Consiglio dei Ministri è pronto per il via libera a quattro decreti legge che danno il via alla riforma della giustizia. Si tratta di un provvedimento complesso e articolato che mira a modificare in profondità il sistema giudiziario italiano, con l'obiettivo di renderlo più efficiente, equo e trasparente. I quattro decreti riguardano: - Separazione delle carriere: magistrati requirenti e giudicanti avranno due percorsi di carriera distinti fin dall'inizio. - Organizzazione del CSM: il Consiglio Superiore della Magistratura sarà riformato con l'istituzione di un "doppio CSM", uno per i magistrati requirenti e uno per quelli giudicanti. - Alta Corte di Disciplina: sarà istituita una nuova Alta Corte per le valutazioni disciplinari dei magistrati. - Processo penale: saranno introdotte diverse modifiche al processo penale, tra cui l'ampliamento del ricorso ai riti alternativi e l'estensione del regime di procedibilità a querela per alcuni reati. Riforma della giustizia, le nuove modifiche proposte Le novità più significative riguardano la separazione delle carriere e la riforma del CSM. La separazione delle carriere mira a evitare il conflitto di interessi che può derivare dal fatto che gli stessi magistrati che indagano e accusano i reati poi li giudicano. La riforma del CSM, invece, mira a maggiore indipendenza e autonomia dei due rami della magistratura, quello requirente e quello giudicante. Le altre modifiche al processo penale sono volte a ridurre la durata dei processi e a aumentare l'efficienza del sistema. Tra le novità più importanti, l'ampliamento del ricorso ai riti alternativi, come il patteggiamento e il giudizio abbreviato, che consentono di definire i procedimenti in tempi più brevi. L'estensione del regime di procedibilità a querela per alcuni reati, come quelli contro la persona e contro il patrimonio, mira invece a favorire la risoluzione dei procedimenti mediante la conciliazione tra le parti. Complesso e controverso La riforma della giustizia è un provvedimento complesso e controverso. I suoi sostenitori ne sottolineano i potenziali benefici in termini di efficienza, equità e trasparenza del sistema giudiziario. I suoi detrattori, invece, temono che la separazione delle carriere possa portare a una frammentazione della magistratura e che la riforma del CSM possa indebolire il ruolo del Consiglio. Solo il tempo dirà se la riforma della giustizia avrà gli effetti sperati. Quel che è certo è che si tratta di un provvedimento importante che avrà un impatto significativo sul futuro del sistema giudiziario italiano. Nuove misure? Oltre alle novità contenute nei decreti, il governo sta lavorando anche ad altre misure per migliorare il funzionamento della giustizia, come la digitalizzazione dei processi e l'aumento del numero di magistrati e di personale amministrativo. L'obiettivo del governo è quello di creare un sistema giudiziario più efficiente, equo e trasparente, in grado di rispondere alle esigenze dei cittadini e di rafforzare lo stato di diritto. La riforma della giustizia è un processo complesso e di lungo periodo. Ci vorrà del tempo per valutare i suoi effettivi risultati. L'Anm approva la mozione congressuale: «No alla separazione delle carriere». “L’unicità della magistratura è valore fondante del nostro associazionismo, tale sua caratteristica ontologica è incompatibile con ogni possibilità di mediazione e trattativa sugli specifici contenuti delle riforme. La separazione delle carriere non è affatto funzionale a garantire la terzietà del giudice, ma appare piuttosto uno strumento per indebolire in modo sostanziale il ruolo del pubblico ministero e, conseguentemente, la funzione di controllo di legalità rimessa al giudice e lascia presagire che venga agitata come strumento di ritorsione e minaccia nei confronti della magistratura tutta”. È quanto recita il testo della mozione congressuale, approvata all'unanimità, che ha chiuso il 36esimo congresso dell'Anm a Palermo, letta dal segretario generale dell'Associazione Salvatore Casciaro. “Oggi giudici e pubblici ministeri - si legge nel documento - sono uniti nell'esercizio della giurisdizione, hanno una comune cultura e fruiscono delle stesse garanzie costituzionali. Separarli rischia concretamente di attrarre la magistratura requirente nell'orbita del potere politico e del controllo governativo, come avviene, in modo formale o sostanziale, in tutti i Paesi nei quali la magistratura è separata”. "Il Consiglio superiore della magistratura è l'unico presidio posto dalla Costituzione a tutela dell'autonomia ed indipendenza della magistratura, che è indispensabile per realizzare l'uguaglianza dei cittadini di fronte alla legge. Le riforme prospettate indebolirebbero fatalmente l'organo di autogoverno dei magistrati, riducendone le competenze, eliminando quelle di maggior rilievo, compromettendone l'autorevolezza e alterando la proporzione tra componenti laici e togati. Tale indebolimento pregiudica la realizzazione dell'uguaglianza formale e sostanziale dei cittadini", prosegue la mozione dell’Anm. Il presidente dell'associazione magistrati, Giuseppe Santalucia, si rivolge direttamente al guardasigilli Nordio: «Noi stiamo chiudendo culturalmente ad una riforma che non porterebbe alcun beneficio alla giustizia e che porrebbe in pericolo l'indipendenza della magistratura e quindi al ministro che ci dice che non è in discussione l'indipendenza del pubblico ministero e che il pm di domani, da lui disegnato, avrà la stessa indipendenza di quello odierno, diciamo ma se così è perché toccarlo? Teniamoci l'indipendenza che abbiamo già». Sulla separazione delle carriere è intervenuto anche il leader del M5S Giuseppe Conte, sottolineando che sulla riforma «la nostra posizione è molto chiara. Noi non riteniamo che il modello italiano vada rivisto. È un modello che si sta rivelando virtuoso. I passaggi di carriera sono insignificanti». Conte ha aggiunto che la direzione che sta prendendo il governo è quella del «magistrato requirente assoggettato al potere politico». «La riforma della giustizia - ha aggiunto l’ex premier - è un pilastro fondamentale del disegno riformatore» del governo. Un processo «di accentramento e di ridistribuzione dei poteri in senso verticistico. Difficilmente questo disegno potrà completarsi con una magistratura indipendente. Di qui la prospettiva della separazione delle carriere e la riforma del Csm, la revisione dell'obbligatorietà della legge penale. Sono tutti corollari di un medesimo disegno riformatore. Yesterday i finished Vol 5 and last 2 arcs were about Makima's movie date and Reze's introduction, so let's get into how Denji relates to the really fucked up women in his life:

So, i'm not ashamed to say that I like Makiden and reading the date actually made them even more somehow?

The whole thing started in a clearly manipulative way, with Makima trying to make Denji even more attached to her than he already is, the contrast between Denji's teen attitude and Makima's mature personality (and grandma clothes) makes them look like a woman and her little brother going out than a couple on a date

But once the date starts, i think both Makima and Denji geniunely enjoyed it, people often talk about them crying at the hug scene, but I would also notice that throught the entire date Makima costantly gives her often negative opinions on those movies, opinions even Denji shared, and the framing made it look like she initiated the conversation every time, if her only mission was to Manipulate him why would she be so honest with him? I think this date is THE most honest she has ever been with Denji in the entire manga, for once he wasn't her enemy and victim but just a guy to talk about movie with, and that's so interesting, it's like peeking at alternative universe where Makiden could actually be friends

The last movie starting with Makima reassuring Denji that she too doesn't like most films she sees and them agreeing the last scene was worth the entire movie date is So. Wow. I like how Denji and Makima have similar tastes despite how different they are, hours of nothingness are worth it if just to catch a glimpse of human love and affection, i think this connects pretty well in the last fight where Pochita [spoilersspoilersspoilers]

Come decarbonizzare l’acciaio con l’idrogeno Durerà fino al 2028, coinvolgerà un team di 120 ingegneri e richiederà un investimento di 88 milioni di euro. Queste alcune delle cifre che contraddistinguono HYDRA, il nuovo progetto per la decarbonizzazione dell’acciaio attraverso l’idrogeno.

L’iniziativa è guidata da RINA e fa parte degli IPCEI, ossia gli Importanti progetti di comune interesse europeo finanziati dall’UE. L’obiettivo? Realizzare una mini acciaieria sperimentale, un centro di test e un polo di formazione dedicato al know-how sull’idrogeno. “Tra le sei catene strategiche del valore identificate dalla Commissione europea per l’attuazione dei progetti IPCEI, l’idrogeno ha un ruolo di primo piano”, spiega Ugo Salerno, Presidente e Amministratore Delegato di RINA. “Da oggi mettiamo in campo tutta la nostra competenza affinché Hydra diventi un catalizzatore per le eccellenze della siderurgia”. Non è la prima volta che il vettore trova un suo spazio nel percorso verso le zero emissioni dell’industria siderurgica. In particolare l’idrogeno offre la possibilità di riprogettare completamente il processo di produzione dell’acciaio, rendendolo a basso impatto di carbonio. O meglio ancora “verde”. Acciaio verde, cos’è? Il termine acciaio verde è usato per indicare un prodotto finale ottenuto senza l’utilizzo del carbone e quindi più ecologico sotto il fronte emissivo. Come? Attraverso quello che in gergo viene chiamato Direct Reduced Iron (DRI), ossia la riduzione diretta del ferro. Il processo fa reagire l’H2 direttamente con i minerali ferrosi per produrre ferro e acqua all’interno di un forno a temperature relativamente basse (circa 1000°C). Quindi, il ferro ridotto è ulteriormente trasformato grazie ad un forno elettrico in acciaio liquido. Le prestazioni dell’intero percorso, in termini di consumo energetico ed emissioni di CO2 sono nettamente più basse rispetto all’uso del coke in alto forno. Soprattutto se l’idrogeno utilizzato è a sua volta verde. La mini acciaieria verde di RINA Il progetto Hydra sarà portato avanti dal Centro Sviluppo Materiali (CSM) della multinazionale. Nella sede di Castel Romano verrà realizzato un impianto pilota per decarbonizzare l’acciaio, sperimentando l’idrogeno in ogni fase del ciclo. I lavori di realizzazione della struttura dovrebbero terminare nel 2025 puntando ad una prima produzione di 7 tonnellate di acciaio verde l’ora. Ed “emettendo una frazione marginale (nell’ordine dei chilogrammi) dell’anidride carbonica rilasciata attualmente“. Il progetto creerà nella stessa sede anche un centro dedicato ai test di materiali e componenti per il trasporto e lo stoccaggio del vettore e un polo di formazione sulla sicurezza, sulle normative europee e per la diffusione di know-how sulle tecnologie H2. “Crediamo molto non solo negli aspetti tecnici di questo progetto ma nella filosofia che lo guida: un’innovazione ‘aperta’”’ che porta valore a tutti gli stakeholder”, ha aggiunto Salerno. “La decarbonizzazione, uno dei pilastri del Piano nazionale di ripresa e resilienza (Pnrr), è una priorità e un obiettivo comune a tutti, specialmente nei settori hard to abate”. CSM - Milwaukee, WI - Settles with the U.S. Department of Justice

United States Reaches Settlement with Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital (CSM) Regarding Allegations of ADA Violations (STL.News) Gregory J. Haanstad, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced that on May 22, 2023, the United States had settled a claim that Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee Inc. (“CSM”) failed to provide sign language interpretative services to a patient who is deaf, in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”). CSM, located on North Lake Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a short-term acute care facility with approximately 400 staffed beds. Title III of the ADA requires public accommodations to take those steps necessary to ensure that no individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated, or otherwise treated differently because of the absence of appropriate auxiliary aids or services unless the entity can demonstrate that taking such steps would fundamentally alter the nature of the services being offered or result in an undue burden. A public accommodation must also furnish appropriate auxiliary aids and services where necessary to ensure effective communication with individuals with disabilities and with companions of patients who are individuals with disabilities. As set forth in the Agreement, the Government’s investigation determined the following: - In 2017, CG developed a serious medical condition requiring her to undergo surgery at CSM on December 18, 2017. CG was initially hospitalized at CSM from December 18 to December 21, 2017, for the surgery and initial recovery period. On December 29, 2017, CG was re-admitted to CSM after experiencing complications from the surgery, including an infection of her surgical site. During her first hospital admission, CSM furnished CG with a qualified ALS interpreter for her pre-operative consultation. However, following the surgery, CG did not receive the services of a qualified ALS interpreter during several subsequent, important interactions with medical staff, including critical phases of her recovery period and staff assessments of her neurological status, in part because CSM staff did not adequately consult with CG about her desire for these services. In addition, no interpreter was provided during her discharge consultation. - Rather than providing a qualified interpreter or other appropriate auxiliary aids or services, CSM staff relied on CG’s mother or other auxiliary aids or services that did not provide effective communication to attempt to facilitate communication with CG about post-operative medical information. As a result, CG did not fully understand the nature of the care and medical decisions being considered for her. - On December 29, 2017, CG was re-admitted to CSM after experiencing complications from the surgery, including an infection of her surgical site. She was treated successfully and discharged on January 1, 2018. During her second hospital admission, CSM again failed to provide a qualified interpreter or other appropriate auxiliary aids or services for any part of the entire stay. Instead, hospital staff once again impermissibly relied upon CG’s mother or other ineffective means, including lip reading and written notes, to facilitate communication with CG. As a result, CG again did not fully understand the nature of the care and medical decisions being considered for her. Based on these findings, the United States determined that CSM denied CG appropriate auxiliary aids and services necessary for effective communication during significant facets of her treatment at CSM in December 2017 and January 2018. Under the settlement agreement, CSM will pay $35,000 to the patient. In addition, CSM has reviewed and revised, as appropriate, its existing policies. CSM has conducted and will conduct additional training on the ADA, and CSM has agreed to report any future complaints of possible ADA violations to federal authorities. Read the full article
