Zuma is the second in command of his father's group of Thieves. He hopes he can become the leader just to make father happy but often really wants to leave such a life too as he is sick of it.

It is highly likely that Zuma and Zuna have been switched once as children for something and never switched back.

Zuma is a Kleptomaniac same as Zuna yet he is way worse with it as he hasn't had time to stop doing it. He hopes Zuna can help him out with it since Zuna is less problematic with it.

He holds small grudges if you did him wrong and will pester you til he gets revenge or you to say sorry. Some won't just say sorry.

Zuma's left wing has a hole in it from a bullet wound he never got medically fixed so his feathers around it just grew darker. You can kinda see through the hole. He can't fly fully because of this.

He just adores his brother so much and they have always been together til Zuna left to escape the thief life. Zuma wants to as well but unsure if he could make it out in the world with just him and Zuna.

There's a dagger somewhere on him at all times just in case. It's just a habit as he always has one in case attacked at night. The scars show how much he been attacked so he can't be without a weapon.

mythical creature you think/believe is real?

I firmly believe that....I don't know if I want to say that *ghosts* exist, because that's a term that has a lot of implications. But I think that we have enough consistent accounts, including by some friends of mine who are sensitive to this sort of thing, to suggest that some trace of human beings who are dead remains after they're gone. Whether that's something that's more like a trace or a photograph or a more conscious entity is something that I feel is more complicated, or why, if both exist, some people seem to have more of a postmortem presence than others. But. I do believe that people linger on in some form or fashion.

But I feel like "mythical".....and this is my experience talking, has certain connotations that ghosts don't always fit, so I'm also going to say that, as a Celticist, and, specifically, one who does what I do, I fully and completely understand that our image of the people of the Sidhe has rapidly evolved over the years and that the perception we have of them now is now what a ninth century peasant in co. Wicklow would have had. I have scholarly objectivity here and, even though I do believe that gaelic polytheists should have the right to worship their gods AND to study them in a professional capacity if they want to, I'm not one of them.

That being said.

You will NEVER find me dicking around a fairy fort. Nope. Not today, Satan.

In general, I adopt a firm attitude of "not sure if I believe, but not going to fuck around and find out" when it comes to the supernatural, especially from other cultures or belief systems, because I REFUSE to be the white girl in a horror movie.

favorite disney princess movie?

I used to watch Disney movies all the time with my aunt as a kid and, when I moved to Florida when I was 13, we had season's passes (and then they jacked the prices up, because....Disney), so I would constantly be in the parks, so this is a tough question.

I'd say Sleeping Beauty was my favorite when I was a kid (...MAYHAPS I had a small crush on Maleficent), Brave was my favorite in my early teen years (I swear I did NOT know I was going to be a Celticist, there was just...a lot of foreshadowing), and then Frozen. Am I aware of Frozen's various flaws, including and especially its current status as a cash grab? Yes. Do I still love it, because Elsa was probably the first Disney royalty I ever really *related* to? Also yes. Many fond memories of blasting out "Let it Go" while I was being driven to my community college program when I was about 16-17. One of the last films I actually watched in theatres before the pandemic hit, next to Rise of Skywalker, was Frozen II. And in the present, this is probably cheating since it isn't part of the animated canon, but I've gotten bizarrely attached to the live action Aladdin.

It should probably also be noted that, while I LIKED the Disney princess movies, my favorites were always the animal oriented ones -- So I did love Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Snow White (though, being the gory-minded child I was, I actually kind of preferred the bootleg animated version where they included the corset and the poisoned comb), but my real favorites were probably Aristocats, 101 Dalmatians, and Jungle Book.

This is so fucking stupid man. The revival book was a really good concept because of how simple yet effective it is and how scary it would be for someone like Dream to have it, it doesnt need any more powers or whatever. Obviously the stuff with Ranboo being controlled by Dream to some extend has been planned for a really long time, and it does make sense, but they shouldve gone about it way differently. My fix is simple: bring DreamXD into this.

Like, right now it doesnt seem like Dream and DreamXD are connected in any meaningful way when Dream couldve been like, idk a worshipper of DreamXD who eventually earned his favor, or just a human that DreamXD thought was interesting and wanted to help occasionally so he'll keep entertaining him. Maybe he gets the revival book and immediately tries to test it out and then DreamXD appears and hes basically like "okay, i wont kill anyone for you or destroy anything or get too involved in all your petty mortal squabbles, but if you call for me I'll help you out bc Im so nice XD dont rely too much on me tho or else I'll kill you XD" and Dream is like "k i'll keep that in mind" and then when Ranboo shows up he calls for him like "okay, can you make me like, a mindlink to the new guy so I can control him" and XD is like "okay, sure, I wont help you anymore though" and Dream agrees and thats that. Maybe DreamXD is even like "Im still rooting for you though XD" and then Dream could bring up the fact that god is on his side during this unhinged monologue

Dark Side Of The Moon, Unknown Pleasures, Aladdin Sane these are albums that have artwork that exists as a commodity independent of the music it originally packaged, Beat Bop is like this but even fewer people are interested in the the original music it contained

For close to forty years Beat Bop has been a highly sought after record by a tiny group of people (compared with the amount of fans of Dark Side Of The Moon etc). In 2014 after years of bootlegs Beat Bop was given its first legit re-issue with fully licensed artwork, limited to 1983 copies

Then in 2020 a original copy was sold at Sotherby's for $126,000 https://nostalgiaking.com/2020/09/17/why-your-rammellzee-vs-k-rob-is-not-worth-100k/

As of 2023 you can cover your body and home in Beat Bop. It appears after the Sotheby's sale whoever owns the licence for the Beat Bop sleeve artwork decided to go Disney and licence it to anyone and everyone, the image is on t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, mugs, and rugs... some of it is massively expensive to fit with your high rent neoliberal gentrified hipster flat, other stuff like socks and those members only jackets really cheap looking but aspirational... like you to live in a Soho flat

In our image saturated attention needy society we advertise all of ourselves to everyone else all the time, our lifestyles, our loves, our work, our fine taste... the Beat Bop artwork on an Abercrombie sweatshirt is one way to do that, it may fill a void but it's not real. In his famous essay "A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again" David Foster Wallace writes

An ad that pretends to be art is -- at absolute best -- like somebody who smiles at you only because he wants something from you. This is dishonest, but what's insidious is the cumulative effect that such dishonesty has on us: a perfect facsimile or simulacrum of goodwill without goodwill's real spirit... it messes with our heads and eventually starts upping our defences even in cases of genuine smiles and real art and true good will

The effect of this, Wallace argues, is to leave us feeling "confused and lonely and impotent and angry and scared" (h/t Nathalie Olah) and that's the way I feel when I see artwork I love printed on a pair of socks. I was in Dublin last year and an old lady walked past me wearing a Snoopy t-shirt, I clocked it because I'd recently seen the exact same image printed on a t-shirt for a streetwear brand selling for over £100. Snoopy has been picked up by several couture labels in the last few years, it's obscene and out of character, in a neoliberal twist Snoopy as pop icon goes Gordon Gekko

Basquiat and Snoopy are of equal value when we're discussing prints on clothing and homewares

Back to the music (without the sleeve artwork)

In addition to Jean-Michel Basquiat's Tartown Record Co. release of Beat Bop with his original artwork Beat Bop was issued by Profile Records in a generic sleeve. In the UK Beat Bop is included on the incredible Street Sounds Electro 2 compilation

Almost a decade later the Beastie Boys sample Beat Bop on Check Your Head in 1992, a Beat Bop sample is used as a premise for a track on 1994s Ill Communication, later that year the short version is included on the compilation Diggin' In The Crates - Profile Rap Classics Volume One, and in 1996 J Saul Kane's Beat Classic compilation makes the full vocal version available again. Each of these events introduce Beat Bop to people who would have been too young to catch it the first time around

If like me you're a record collector and you like the track and it's history it's only natural to try and seek out a copy with the sleeve artwork

Beat Bop wasn't Jean-Michel Basquiat's only foray into music he formed an industrial rock band with Michael Holman called Gray in 1979

Benedict Cumbersnatch (Sunset Paradise) - Joined to make Meggy bleed. Dude loves to cause chaos and has low BS tolerance.

Whisk (Sunset Paradise) - Joined to have a rematch with Meggy. This girl's asthetic is "wears a mask and mostly black to act tough but is shy and seconds away from crying". Also Vathek made it so instead of making people face doubt versions of themselves, they instead see a chaotic wasteland when gassed by Whisk.

Chaos (Aladdin the Animated Series) - Basically just got sick of losing. He’d teamed up with a few other rando Aladdin rogues to try and pick a fight with Xehanort, and he sent him packing. So he ended up finding one of the few residents of the multiverse who had a similar grudge against good.

Shadow Lucky (Glitter Force) - Was revived to join the team. She is just pure chaos.

Jean Jacket (Nope) - Was adopted onto the team. This thing is the mascot.

Cell (DBZ) - Joins by crashing Louise's accidental villain alliance and trying to add himself to it, but…ends up being such a disrespectful nuisance that he gets forced to join. Mostly because he's their type of guy.

Tiburon (American Dragon Jake Long) - ADJL is also post-series in this timeline. Tiburon was freed so as to show Louise, Seiren and Vathek around the old Huntsclan vault (which is where they found the puzzle box).

Victor and Carla Delgado (Elena of Avalor): Takes place before the events of the series, Merlin turned Seiren into a rat, so Vathek brought her to Avalor to find a way to change her back. There, they found Victor and Carla who added themselves to the team.

Phantom (Mario + Rabbids) - joined to strut his stuff on the villain scene.

Infinite (Sonic) - Joined to show Sonic that he can still fight.

Sumu (Lion Guard) - Joined to get revenge on Janja for betraying Scar. A magic potion turns him into a Girtablilu early on.
