The Isles
One week into the Broken Isles campaign with the Grand Alliance Military, it is by no means an easy task. With the loss of the Skyfire, those assigned to myself and my superior were sent to Stormheim, searching for survivors and ensuring their safety. This place has more than just the Legion to worry about. It would seem that one of the strongest Vrykul in the land has made a deal with the Legion and as such is bringing death and destruction with the fel power granted to him.
It has been too risky for us to venture far from the site of the crash. Fel crazed Vrykul, wolves, bears, dragons and to top it all off the demons themselves. I’d heard tales of the great size of the Vrykul but… it’s completely different when you see them in the flesh and even more so when you have to engage in combat. Fifteen feet tall, rippling muscle and an insatiable lust for battle.
I was leading a small group to gather some supplies for the camp we had set up. Trees, food, that sort of thing. All of a sudden we heard the charging footsteps and battle cry of a lone Vrykul and his wolf companion. It’s at moments like these I’m glad to be a bow user. Within seconds two of our men were ripped to pieces whilst the Vrykul himself turn his attention to our front line. With a few well aimed shots he slowly fell. Once seeing his master die the wolf went into a frenzy and charged towards me. Perhaps he worked out I was the doing the most damage. He leapt forward, knocking me to the ground, and began ripping and biting at my shoulder which was only covered with my usual leathers. Teeth and claws sinking deep, pain ripping through my body. Thankfully the men and women by my side swiftly slayed the beast. Although we were victorious it came at a cost.  We lost five men, a number that would be missed from the small group we already had.  I’ll likely have scars to show for it, the wounds are mostly healed but I’m sure Vivi will take a look at them. She always does.
For the moment our resources are plentiful and we are keeping out of sight. Once the injured are sufficiently recovered we can find a safe path to Highmountain, toward Vivi. I have it on good authority from Skyler that Thunder Totem is, relatively, safe. I would hope Vivi has remained there, I’ve missed her.
Due to the decimation of the alliance forces during the Burning Legion invasion the higher ranks of the Rangers have been split up to lead small squadrons in the field. Andrew will be with the Gilnean forces, as well as Phlynt and William. As for everyone else I’m not aware of their locations at this moment. We don’t get much information at the crash site.
At least the mountains are nice to look at... if you ignore the storm dragons.
Strength through unity.
