High school is difficult. Especially your first year. It’s a completely new environment, filled with a bunch of people who always feel bigger than you. And considering the meek person you are, it’s no understatement to say that you mostly avoid getting involved with anything too big or too extravagant. You were okay with sitting alone outside in a more secluded place, eating lunch whole listening to music.

The solitude was nice. Feeling the crisp air brush along your skin was refreshing, and definitely needed after getting through crowded hallways and crammed staircases. During these small moments, you mostly felt okay with yourself.

But sometimes, it was too quiet, even for you. The elongated silences were getting uncomfortable. You just needed to be able to speak at times, to talk with someone— just like the two friends at the table beside yours would do everyday.

Occasionally, there would be some groups of kids who would come over, but that wasn’t the break of silence you needed. And yes, maybe sometimes a classmate or stranger would come over, talk for a while, but that wasn’t it either.

You did make some friends, but they were… weren’t, well... You cherished and appreciated them, but—

There was just someone in your life that you didn’t quite feel fulfilled without. And of course, who else would it be but your dear friend Kunikuzushi? Although you still went to school together in the morning most days, it was so fleeting. After that, you barely saw each other during the day.

Unfortunately, you had no classes or even lunch together. And the only after school activity you both joined was Arts Council, which happened once a week, on Wednesdays.

Wait,— today is Wednesday!

Today, you’d get to see him! Finally, after barely being able to spend any time together, you could indulge yourself in some well deserved company.

Thinking of all the topics you could tell him about, you smile to yourself and happily eat your food. You thought of talking about what happened during your week so far, and to ask him about his.

There was a prominent question you wanted to ask him, too. Did he make any other friends?

Other than you, everyone saw him as rather disagreeable— and they weren’t wrong for that! He was snarky, sarcastic, and didn’t like to talk unless necessary. Thus, it made sense for you and him to be sticking together throughout basically your entire youth. After all, the only person willing to be near him is you.

You’re able to see him as someone more than just his spiteful remarks, and so he allowed you to follow him for being “at least tolerable,” as Kunikuzushi said himself.

Being so caught up in your thoughts about him, you were pulled back to reality once you realized that the one song which reminded you of him the most began playing.

The feeling tugs a small, but sweet smile over your lips, which remained while you got yourself ready to head back to class.

Class is as boring as ever. And yet, it’s fairly different from middle school, when you used to sit beside Scaramouche at the back of the class. You remember how fun it was to make small doodles on his notebook in class while he wasn’t looking. Oh well, at least it’s last period, and you’d get to see him soon!

Soon, the bell rang, waking you up as last period ended. You were suddenly much more awake once you recall it was time for Arts Council. With excitement, you quickly pack up and make your way to the club’s room.

Many other members were already walking inside and finding seats, while you wait beside the door for Kunikuzushi.

For some reason, your heart begins pounding. Your stomach feels like it’s all in knots while you think of him. Like you were scared? Nervous? Excited? For… what?

“Hey,” A voice suddenly calls out to you. You exclaim a small wince when you feel your forehead get flicked.

“Wha—“ You were about to speak, until you realize who you were looking up at. It was Kunikuzushi. Your eyes widen slightly, and you could hear yourself stammer just a bit.

He raises an eyebrow at you, seeing how startled you were. “You’re so odd.” He simply says, brushing past you as he went inside. He looks back at you once, gesturing for you to come in as well.

You also look back at him and nod, before looking back a second time. Promptly, you followed and took a seat beside him, moving the stool a bit closer. He lightly scoffs, which makes you giggle. His attitude was always so silly.

You then turn to him, about to say something to start some conversation. However, you see two other figures approach the table, greeting Scaramouche while you direct your attention to them.

You look at the two curiously; a fair man with ashen hair and teal eyes, holding a neutral expression. His name was Albedo, who you knew from your science class. He was smart and humble, though not very social. The other boy had dark teal hair which matched his solemn expression, an amber colour accentuating his cat-like eyes. Even though you didn’t know him, he seemed to have similar energy to Albedo.

After they said hello to Scaramouche, to which he responded with a quiet hum, they both look to you. Surprisingly, Albedo greets you with your name. You didn’t expect him to know you, since he always seemed much more absorbed in his own work.

Albedo then spoke again, “Hm, so you and Scaramouche are…”

“She’s my friend,” Scaramouche answers sternly, a small sigh escaping his mouth.

Albedo nods, looking at Scaramouche with a slightly surprised expression. Once you agree, he nods once more and introduces you to Xiao, who wouldn’t say more than a greeting.

Albedo decided to sit in front of you, with Xiao quietly taking the seat beside him. Before any more words could be said, the club’s supervisor teacher comes in and began discussing today’s activities.

Valentine’s Day was soon approaching, and the council chose to prepare a cute, small photo booth. You volunteered to paint the booth’s background, to which Scaramouche agreed to help out with. Albedo and Xiao had already left the room to paint a school mural.

Everyone got to work promptly— you quickly gather the materials while Scaramouche brings over the large canvas paper, setting it over the table. He sat down once it was placed, watching as you walk over with various painting supplies.

With a sigh, he walks over to you, taking a few of the supplies from your arms.

“You looked like you were going to drop everything. Slow as ever, too.” He remarks, turning as he makes his way back to the table. You just smile, following him as you set the rest of the materials out.

“How about we do some sort of sunset? Then we can ask for some paper hearts to frame around it,” You suggest, Scaramouche shrugging in response. “That sounds fine with me, whatever you want.”

After discussing it a bit more, with Scaramouche mostly just giving passive responses and small comments, the two of you begin sketching it out. It was a rather plain sketch with not much going on since it was just a background focused on the colour and scenery.

And yet, even during such a simple task, you couldn’t help but get distracted, your eyes constantly flicking up from the paper to look at him.

Even with your unfocused attitude, the two of you got the sketch done quickly, and began painting. Your eyes were guided by the way your soft brush strokes worked in harmony with his, flowing against the blank canvas to shape colour and unity between your two brushes.

At first, the two of you continue to work in relative silence, until you finally speak, “So, how’s your week been so far?” You ask, looking up at him briefly. In that moment, he looks up at you as well, though his eyes swiftly shy away.

“It’s been the same as ever. Just some boring classes.” Scaramouche says plainly, not looking up again. You knew it was a typical response, but you couldn’t help but feel a bit upset when he said it was “the same as ever”. You wait to hear him say more— to say that he missed you, too. But you knew him, and you knew it was far too uncharacteristic.

You simply hum, nodding your head in acknowledgement. It was silent for a bit more as you both continued painting.

“…Aren’t you going to tell me about yours?” He speaks up, his authoritative voice grabbing your attention. He looks like he was forcing himself to face you as he rests his elbows on the table.

Heat burns onto your cheeks as his eyes focus onto your own.

“Ah, right,” You stammer quickly, blinking a few times. Why did it suddenly feel so tense? After years of knowing each other, you should be comfortable more than anything, right?

“It’s been… okay, I guess.” You say, “I enjoy eating lunch alone. But you’d be an exception, of course,” You laugh, sounding like you were joking, but you weren’t.

He lets out a scoffed laugh, an amused smile playing on his lips. “Obviously,” He says confidently. He then resumes his painting, looking up at you once as a signal to continue talking.

“I think I’m kinda just making acquaintances, not really friends, or something, you know?” You continue, trying to think of the right words. “I like the people I meet, but I dunno if I’d call them my friends. Maybe my definition of a ‘friend’ is a bit confusing, I guess.”

“Well, is it a bad thing?” Scaramouche asks in a smooth tone, yet mumbling a bit. He looks up at you curiously before his eyes scurry away once again.

You think about it for a moment before reluctantly shaking your head. “No, it’s alright actually. My mind’s been acting kind so it’s peaceful.” You say with a laugh, still just watching as he painted.

Scaramouche nods again. He was surprised and confused as to why he found himself somewhat glad. “Do you just plan on slacking?” He questions, giving you a teasing smile as he remarks on you simply sitting and watching him.

You frown, promptly standing up and starting to paint again. “Of course not!” You exclaim. However, some club members had already began leaving by now, so you thought about leaving soon as well.

The two of you talk a bit more about classes and work, occasionally bickering until you deice it was time to leave. After you clean up and say goodbye to everyone else, Scaramouche follows you to your locker.

He stands closely behind as you put back and grab things from your locker. Although you couldn’t see him from behind, you could feel his fixed gaze on you. His eyes scrunch slightly every time you accidentally graze your arm against his while sorting things out, but he stays silent.

Scaramouche takes a look at your decorated locker, small stickers, random decor,— and a picture of you two. He eyes it for a moment until you get up.

You opted to close the door, until he swiftly places his hand atop yours and stops you. A smug smile was evident on his face when you turned to question him.

“I didn’t know you put this up,” He asserts teasingly. It made your heart beat faster once again as you try to calm down.

“Isn’t it cute?” You ask, shrugging it off and acting unaffected. “I’m not sure about that.” He chuckles.

“But don’t take it down. That’s not what I’m trying to say.” Scaramouche says in a light tone, though clearly meaning his command.

He then closes the door, taking his hand off of yours as you put the lock back on, chasing him as he already began walking off. With a heart beating like crazy, you made your way to his side, walking to the exit together.

“Going straight home?” You ask. He hums in response, looking straight ahead.

The two of you walk through the empty corridor, not saying much. You didn’t have too much to talk about, especially after years of knowing each other. Usually, the silence would be comfortable.

And yet, it feels weirdly tense.

Every time your shoulders bumped, you can’t help but look up at him and want to see his expression. Looking at him felt different nowadays.

You try to feign ignorance to the cold, despite your mild shivering. It was early February, after all. Grass is covered in frost, and you could feel the cold air starting to nip at your face and hands. Small clouds appear at your mouth as hot breath escapes your lips, matching the sight of chimneys on houses you walk by.

Scaramouche was looking ethereal as always. His austere, cold eyes were accentuated by the season’s cool tones, additionally contrasted by the warm hue of blush on his pretty, pale cheeks which was perfectly framed by his indigo hair.

You quickly look away, placing your eyes on the snow falling instead.

After a breath, you speak, “I love the snow. It’s sooo pretty,” You happily say, “It’s really cold, but melts like magic when you touch it.”

“I know. Because it comes in contact with your warmth.” Scaramouche replies, turning his head to look at you while you watch the snowflakes. You laugh a bit at his stoic response.

There was a small pause.

You then grab onto his arm, pulling him forwards with you. “Come on, let’s stop by at the park for a bit!” You exclaim, taking him off guard. “Why would we do that—?!” He blurts, nearly falling over as you took him by surprise.

“‘Cause we haven’t seen each other often,” You tell him honestly, your voice quieting down as you lead him.

You make sure not to look at him while you spoke, so that he won’t see how much you meant those words.

“…Fine.” Scaramouche sighs, following you over to the park. It was close to your house, so the two of you used to go quite often. Or rather, you’d drag him along with you. Especially when you were kids. He’d never admit it, but he truly did enjoy going with you.

To just simply be together and forget about everything bad was heavenly— and he’s just obsessed with how you treated him.

…Not that’d he’d tell you that, of course. And obviously, he wouldn’t tell you how glad he was that you proposed to hang out for a bit. And how happy it made him when the two of you spent time alone during Arts Council.

No, he just couldn’t. Not when he was face-to-face with the risk of losing you.

Scaramouche was quickly cut out of his thoughts when you dragged him over to the swings, swiftly brushing the snow off the seats and getting on. You invite him to join you once you patted the snow off the other swing, looking at him expectantly.

He complies, sitting down as his hands loosely grasp the swing’s chains. He lightly sways, though not putting enough force to fully swing himself like you.

Scaramouche looks up at the snowy sky— or, pretends to look at the sky when he was really just staring at you each time the swing brought you high enough into his view.

He softly bit the inside of his lip, a sign of uncertainty as to whether or not he should say something.

Maybe even something about… how his chest kept feeling heavier. Suffocating, in a way. Especially when he looked at you.

At your features that were absolute perfection in his eyes. At your smile which never failed to warm him. At your starry eyes that made his breath get caught in his throat whenever they looked back at his.

“Why don’t you swing yourself?” You speak up, finally looking at him. The thought never really crossed his mind— after all, it was just pushing yourself back at forth.

“I happen to like it here. You know, swinging yourself like this is just as enjoyable.” Scaramouche says, sounding as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

You hum, shrugging your shoulders. You didn’t really agree, but he was always an eccentric person. You continue to swing yourself, a small smile of amusement on your face.

Scaramouche naturally noticed it, and it caused a pleased smile to emerge on his lips as well. “Besides, you look quite foolish just going back and forth.” He mocks, sounding entertained by how idiotic he made you out to be.

You heave, frowning at him. “I do not. It’s fun. And you’re a bore,” You insult him back.

“Oh, I’m a bore?” He scoffs, raising an eyebrow. “That’s too bad. Because it seems like you’re always stuck with me.” He laughs.

“Unless you uncharacteristically run away now. Apparently even though I’m boring, you never choose to do so.” Scaramouche finishes teasingly, grinning.

You furrow your brows, glaring at him. Your cheeks heat up because you knew he was right— and it was frustrating!

“That’s ‘cause I’d feel bad seeing you alone!” You exclaim, just thinking of anything to rebut his statements.

He then grabs the chain of your swing, frowning irritably. His sudden motion caused your swing to move with uncertainty, making you hold on tightly until it finally stopped.

“Stop that!” You utter, playfully hitting his arm.

The two of you continue to bicker for a bit as usual, every so often talking about recent events and how school has been treating you. You liked having insight onto his life. And he liked having lots on yours.

You eventually slow down on the swing, resorting to weakly swaying just like Scaramouche as you continued to chat.

“How about Xiao and Albedo? Are you friends with them?” You ask, continuing the conversation.

“Mmm. I don’t know what you would consider a friend. But I guess I consider them acquaintances.” Scaramouche shrugs, not putting much thought into the other two boys.

“I just talk to them in class sometimes, when the teacher forces us to ‘discuss in small groups’.” He notes, rolling his eyes as he recalls his teacher’s ways.

“But, uh—…” Scaramouche starts to stutter, looking down as he seemed to consider his words. He sighed again.

He then brought his head up, turning to face you. “So, you and Albedo knew each other?” He breathlessly asks, his expression rigid.

His sudden behaviour took you a bit off guard. He always seemed so stern and sure of his words.

“Yeah, somewhat?— Well, not really, actually.” You stammered, thinking as you spoke. “We’re just in the same science class. He seems to like his work more than people, so…”

Scaramouche nods, his face relaxing. He looks back up at the falling snow, which had accumulated on the ground much more.

The air was much colder now that time had passed with the two of you just talking. The sky dimmed into a cool blue, signalling evening’s approaching.

There was a comfortable silence between you two. Well, you tried to think it was comfortable. Honestly, you were battling your feelings with every bit of your rationality left.

You tried so hard to tell yourself that you were okay with being friends. Friends. And nothing more. But after so long, you knew that all you wanted was more.

For Scaramouche, it was the same. All he wants is to keep you by his side forever. From childhood until eternity, you are what he wants. But not just like this.

If he had to shamefully admit it… He wanted you like the cheesy couples you occasionally watched during your many movie nights.

He hated the thought of how vulnerable you made him. How you could so easily make him weak. If you just asked, he would love you so ardently, more than anyone could.

You were both plagued by these thoughts, and you both knew you had to do something. It felt like you couldn’t breathe, and the silence that filled the space around you two, which you tried to think was comfortable, was really just full of tension and thickening air.

“Scaramouche,” you grabbed his attention, making him face you, “I’m really glad we got some time to ourselves today.” You say, your voice soft yet a bit hesitant.

Scaramouche let out a heavy breath as his mind seemed to conflict when he stared back at you. “…I am too.” He unusually confesses.

There was another pause between you two.

“I hope we’ll have lots more times like this. I… really do miss being near you all the time. It’s different.” Your words made Scaramouche’s eyes widen slightly. There was a pounding in his chest, making him clutch the swing’s chains a bit tighter.

His lips trembled a bit before responding, “We will. Don’t worry. There’s lots of time for us.” He says sternly. “If our schedules become so packed that they keep us away, then I’ll take care of it.”

There was that feeling again. Your heart started beating faster, and despite the cold outside, you felt completely warm. You hoped Scaramouche felt this way too— that the pinkish hue on his cheeks was because of his feelings and not the cold.

You smile at him.

“That’s good to know.” You giggle. “I’ll do the same, then. Promise?” You ask, reaching your pinky out to him.

He scoffs, but places his pinky out to entwine with yours anyway. “In high school? Still? Very childish, but not unexpected.” He says, still poking fun at you.

You roll your eyes and made a pinky promise, not pulling your finger away yet. You want your touch to linger more, even if it wasn’t necessary. Though, he didn’t seem to have any objections.

After another quick squeeze, you carefully pull your hand away and stand up, getting off the swing. “Let’s get home now, it’s getting way too cold.” You tell him, a shiver running down your spine.

There were still lots of unsaid words. Many things still buried. So much yearning.

But for now, with the way you tug his arm along to get home, perhaps it was better for you both to stay quiet.

Hmm imagine if feral Jd came early and started to raise branch (like eldest)

Imagine in the troll village (14yr) branch was getting resources and came across Jd (he is feral that time) , then branch started training him, even giving him a saddle so he could ride him.

Then trolls 1 came(nobody knew feral had wings cause he never really used them, and I headcanon that his fur-cape is his wing accessories that branch gave him. )

At the creek betrayal) branch tried suffocating creek with the help of feral until the snack pack moved them aside

-time skip to the end

The time feral finally showed his wings was when they started singing "just dance" the snack pack and the other trolls were surprised by his wings when he started flying with his glow pattern. After that they started questioning branch about the wings

Escaping lonesome flats

As chomper was biting branch feral started to unfold his wings and show his glow pattern, they were all surprised by the glow that they didn't realize feral cutting off the mustache, and they officially escaped lonesome flats

At the rock village, feral was too busy looking at all the trolls he didn't realize that branch turned into a rock troll, once he realize he tried to save him but ended up turning into a rock troll

When poppy started singing he knew this was his time, he flew up to the middle and started glowing as they were singing.

Feral sneaks out of the village in an attempt to find floyd once he got to the bottle he started using his claws that unfortunately didn't work. He told branch about this(in the middle of the wedding) and that's when poppy realized they were brozone.

Jd couldn't sing cause he still doesn't know the normal language so he just joined them in the song, Clay and Spruce realized that Jd wasn't really talking but decided to question them after saving floyd

(Bruce, Clay and poppy got captured when they got into a reunion with floyd cause they were too late to escape to the vents)

When Branch started singing "better place" feral got out his wings and flew with Branch on his back while singing, Bruce, clay and floyd were surprised by this but they joined in the song (the family harmony still work just like in your au)

This is basically a "what if Branch found feral" version, it's just a random shit that came to my mind while doing my exams... I'm bad at writing stories or something so it's okay if u judge my awful writing skills 👌 I mostly got this idea from httyd, I'm just too obsessed with your feral au😀 I just realized this sounds like a mix of feral and eldest😭

Don't mind my spelling I was in a rush coz I'm writing this on my exam(I'm online class)

I mean considering I'm Friends with the Eldest & Youngest creator it wouldn't be that weird to merge the two stories into something. We already made a Fusion design of Eldest and Feral. Their name is Fetch. Honestly surprised we haven't done it already but to be fair the only Au I work on is my Feral JD au so. *shrugs* Also not sure if you want like my input on the "What if Branch and JD reunited earlier" or not but here my take on the idea.

It would defiantly be interesting having Branch and JD interact so early on. Both Grey and scared of the world. Branch being more terrified then JD since he's been living out in the woods and already had his fair share of critter encounters by this point. I don't think Branch and JD would recognize each other right away. It's already been ten years by this point and they both look very different from what the other remembers. Both of them being grey would sort of peak the others interest but also knowing Branch and his habit for spiraling into the worse case scenario. He would probably think if he stays grey he's going to turn feral like the other grey troll he keeps encountering. JD would be the first to realize who Branch is when one day the two get close enough that JD recognizes the green leafy vest Branch is wearing as Floyd's. That would cause JD to try and steal it back from Branch until Branch yells.

"Let GO! It's all I have left of my brothers!"

JD would immediately stop and just start really looking at Branch. Sniffing him too. Nether of them know the others name because JD can't talk and Branch just always stayed silent anytime they encountered each other. Eventually JD pulls out Branch's old glasses from the band days and gently places them on his head. They both probably cry and share and big hug after that.

First movie would defiantly be interesting given the future plans I have for my au. I don't know if i would change much second movie wise. You'll just have to wait for the rock saga for that info.

I like the third movie ideas. Especially the bit about Clay and Bruce being confused as hell by JD being basically silent. Specially because of how loud and talkative he was when they were all trolling's.

ANOTHER ROTTMNT AU that I probably won't write

Turtles are Lou Jitsu/Big Mama's kids before turtle mutation

- b/c why the hell not

 (Everything under the cut b/c apparently this is a long one)

start

- Basically Big Mama decides she'd rather have Lou join the battle nexus willingly than as a captive. (She likes the thing they have going on and would rather it not end anytime soon.)

- she introduced him to the Battle Nexus.

- After the shock wares off, he's fascinated by it. (The movies were great but he was getting bored.)

- Lou joins the Battle Nexus willingly and the two stay in a relationship (not married, just together.) (Some talk about how he's her pet champion but those that talk too loud end up disappearing.)

- As a result of their continued relationship, they end up having kids. 4 boys (the middle 2 being twins, of course)

(I can't decide if they have the same names or not so we'll skip that for now.)

- Now, a quick note for this AU. Part of the reason Yokai stopped interacting with humans was b/c whenever a hybrid was produced, they tended to be more human than Yokai. (Even more if a cloaking broach is involved. It throws in extra genetic variables so the offspring can end up inheriting traits from that as well.)

- The boys are no exception. They look human except for a few... oddities.

- Raph has the fluffy mint colored hair and red eyes of Big Mama's spider form. (Not fully red eyes.) He's also exceptionally strong, having once thrown a temper tantrum that resulted in throwing his entire crib across the room. He also likes to pick up his brothers and bodily carry them for no reason. Much to his parents panic upon finding the baby just missing.

- Leo is the oldest twin (by 2 minutes). He and Donny look the most human (with Lou's black hair and dark eyes) the only odditys being from the lavender purple spots on their skin they got from Big Mama's human form (think Leo's marks except more organic looking). (Tho they seemed to both start developing extra, spider like limbs by the time they're 1). Leo likes to follow around Big Mama whenever he can, often sitting on her lap during meeting and trying to mimic her facial expressions.

- Donny is the youngest twin. Again, mostly human looking. His purple spots are different then Leo (again his turtle markings but different, tho he does also have one over his right eye as well.) He is very frustrated about not having extra limbs like Big Mama. He is constantly wearing a spider themed backpack with little bouncy spider limbs as a result and will scream whenever it's removed.

- Mikey is the baby (obviously). He has Big Mama's human form hair and eyes, tho if u lift up his hair and there's 4 spider eyes on his forehead that he hasn't figured out how to open yet.

mutation day

- On mutation day, Raph is 2, the twins are a little over 1, and Mikey is 3 months.

- Draxum sends his gargoyles to grab Lou like originally planned.

- Huggins and Muggins arrive at the room, finding only the 4 boys asleep in their beds (Lou is currently arguing with Big Mama in another room about wanting to stop fighting for the boy’s sake.)

- Huggins and Muggins thinks one of the boys is Lou so, not knowing which it would be, grab all four.

- Draxum sees the four and realizes they’re Lou’s kids (but he’s not paying attention to gossip so he doesn’t realize they’re half yokai) and decides starting with a young human base might be more beneficial than an animal base.

- He has them each interact with the turtles he was going to mutate before mutating the children instead.

- Lou shows up just in time to see his boys mutated into turtles.

- Draxum is woefully unprepared for the fury Lou fights him with. He destroys the lab and steals his sons back, getting covered in mutagen as he does.

- He’s back in the NYC before he realizes that his boys are alright, just turtles, and that he’s now mutated into a rat-man.

- (Also that the mutation has overrode their yokai dna so they no longer have those traits)

- He can’t go back to Big Mama like this. He certainly can’t fight in the Nexus like this and she made it exceptionally clear that’s the only reason why she keeps him around (a lie but he doesn’t realize that)

- so he stays in the human world, eventually finding a decent place to hide in the sewers and raises his sons alone.

- he doesn’t talk about before they were mutated, keeping the only human(ish) picture he has of them hidden deep in the do-not-touch cabinet.

- If they assume they’ve always been turtles then, well, he doesn’t correct them. It was probably for the best anyways.

post mutation

-The boys were so young, they don’t really remember a before.

-Mikey definitely doesn’t.

- Leo doesn’t really either. His only memory being sitting on someone’s lap as they sat behind a big desk and made faces at weird men, but he assumes it’s just an old dream he can’t quite shake.

- Donny knows there was..something. He knows they used to look different (but not exactly how) and has a foggy memory of being caught pulling apart a new toy and a women praising him for being so smart. (he still is very much frustrated by lack of extra limbs, hence his spider limb battle shell, which was probably the first non-standard battle shell he designed.)

- Raph, without a doubt, remembers the most. He remembers they had a mom and how pops looked different back then. He remembers being chased by an owl man after escaping his  watch. But he also remembers how mutation day felt, and is forever grateful his brothers do not.

Series

- series doesn’t really change much

- Big Mama never knew her boys got mutated (instead thinking Lou had taken them and left after their fight) so 13 years later, when 4 turtle mutants start causing trouble for her, she is exceptionally confused as to why she immediately thinks of her lost boys.

A strong one in red, carrying his brothers without thought

A clever one in blue, who seems to see right through her tricks like his mind works just like hers.

A smart purple one with fake spider limbs.

And an smiling orange one who trust his brothers without fault.

- She tries to keep them at the hotel to figure out why, but Blue is too clever for that.

- It’s not until she meets Lou/Splinter again does she put the puzzle pieces together.

- She doesn’t quite believe it until Blue cons her in her own game.

-after that, i’m not sure what would happen. maybe she would sit back and watch them from afar? Maybe she would continue her plans for a weird “they’re my kids, i know they can handle the challenge” sort of way? Either way she knows now. And she’s not going to be able to pretend that she doesn’t.

5. Hickey/Crozier

While I do ship them, I also just love watching their whole dynamic and interactions as characters because of the way they're opposites on many levels yet also extremely similar. Or at least, they start similarly. And while I think a lot of how Hickey felt about Crozier was either exploitative or at the very least that he would be like any of the other captains/officers, and useful to exploit but nothing else, the longer the show went on and the more Hickey seemed to just kind of be losing it, the more he also seemed absolutely fixated on Crozier in a way that did become something else. He had so many opportunities to end everything, as did Crozier, but neither did, and why could be a lot of different reasons.

4. Hickeygibsontozer

I put this instead or just HickeyTozer or HickeyGibson because I honestly can't choose between them and feel like the dynamic between the 3 of them post-mutiny would have absolutely been even more interesting if Gibson did survive longer. I feel like Hickey and Gibson were very often alternating between showing actual, very real love for each other, and hurting each other first from miscommunication (Hickey risking punishments and encouraging Gibson to as a form of showing love, Gibson trying to stop all of both out of self-preservation and because he Didn't want Hickey to be punished, among other things), and then later just hurting each other much more deliberately because both were fucked up enough truly only for each other. It really is wild how out of the 3, Tozer is probably the least fucked up, mostly just because he seemed to initially turn to Hickey out of respect, seem to want to turn away from and leave him out of fear, and even then, even after so much, he would lean into Hickey's hands at his face in a way that still suggested he took more comfort in him than he probably expected he ever would. Also, had Gibson lived longer I feel like he would have had way more actual control over the mutineers in a way which may have lead to Tozer being surprisingly loyal to him in a similar way.

3. Goodsilna

I think Goodsir and Silna's whole relationship did initially start as something of a studying thing, at least on Goodsir's part, but what was both good in general yet bad as far as he may have seen it was that he was fairly quickly unable to keep seeing her as just that. It seemed like throughout a lot of interactions, other characters would be very quick to easily discuss her or others as not 'real' humans in at least some way, but Goodsir still seemed unable to think of Silna that way, whether that was when he was trying to learn her language to better communicate with her and (it seemed) out of just wanting to know it, or even when that was much later and he was forced with never talking to nor seeing her again, causing her death, or leaving his own people behind. They're another pair that I just like the dynamic of a lot even not as a ship. I also feel like Silna did think of Goodsir in a different way to many, understanding him in a similar way to how he understood Collins, and offering him the comfort and possible support no one else seemed to. I very often think about aus in which Goodsir did come to realize how the real problem Was more than just how English people were there, but what brought them there, and that they would not be much better if he were able to get back, so he just joins Silna and her people in the way Crozier did.

2. Fitzier

This one is harder to describe just because I feel like so much has already been said about it but I'll say what I like anyways. I like how the whole time, it seems like Crozier is always a representation of all the true knowledge and just understanding of things that Fitzjames first hates because it makes him feel like even more of a fraud but comes to take so much comfort in that it starts to result in him opening up to Crozier in a way Crozier so quickly and so completely comforts and accepts. It really feels like only those circumstances allowed for that which is painful because Fitzjames like Needed that with someone, and yet that was almost definitely the only scenario in which it would've happened. So a lot of them as a ship is sort of doomed from the start not because they wouldn't be good, they would be perfect, but what brought them together would always also doom them. (This isn't to say I don't like fix-it fics or similar I adore them this is just what I think of them in canon).

1. Jopzier

I do know that they were supposed to be read as having a father and son dynamic but I gotta say I still don't really see it. There's an amount of devotion Jopson has to Crozier in general that goes beyond what seems like any actual relationship could have, and even after if not especially when he is promoted to lieutenant, it seems like him being Crozier's steward was just the most convenient way for him to actually express and make something out of those emotions. And Crozier does seem to care so much about Jopson too, but he seems unable to understand that Jopson would, really, love him that completely just because he's him, and not because he felt it was his obligation as his steward to do whatever he could for him, or maybe his obligation as a lieutenant. Which results in a distance between them that Crozier put there only just because he already thought it was there which agonizes me but I do love it.

I feel like saying the only reason I didn't put Bridglar here despite it being what I'm currently most focused on is because I do like them but they're whole dynamic is actually healthier and so much genuinely better than whatever the hell is going on with a lot of these ones that what's fucked up is the circumstances they're in, so I feel like even if you removed them from the Terror I'd love them.

also for some reason i think one of her powers would be like an ABSOLUTELY EAR SPLITTING SHRIEK.. not bad enough to make people go deaf, but it seriously disorientates them and makes their ears ring

fyi he did NOT want to be a spider person cuz ew spiders but after a power reveal to his friends and them all having some weird accident or something and getting these superpowers snd THIS was the gimmick they went with.. he didnt have much of a choice

anywayyyyyyy most of them prob have secret identities and dont wanna be public (for various reasons) but miko would definitely just tell everyone who she is.. kusuo would constantly be having to protect her from stalkers and the like when shes just trying to live her life

kokomi prob tried to be secret at first just to prevent having MORE stalkers and general crazy people surrounding her every day life, but she would def be the first person to be exposed by the public because.. well, the media would be OBSESSED with her but also, shes just really obvious and doesnt realize shes not being subtle at all.. prob has all her long blue hair out of her suit and everything.. eventually she prob decided against having a mask at all (or just having one around her eyes) cuz being pretty and perfect adds to her whole thing

kusuo is pissed at both of them cuz he seriously cant handle hanging out with them in public now.. like if it was bad before, its terrible now

alsooo i was thinking about whether or not all his friends knew each others secret identities from the start or not and i started considering like if they didnt at first, yumehara would have a crush on kaido or the jet black widow and i was thinking theyd team up or something and she'd be like ugh i cant crush on this guy, i have kaido !!! and then i realized, this is just miraculous, i was making yumekai miraculous 😭😭

is kusuke a supervillain? ehhhh, probably nottt, he'd prob be similar to how he is in canon.. jealous and obsessive over his brother but doesnt really care about anything or anyone else enough to really be evil, he prob creates crazy supervillain esque tech that could rival the heroes easily but only uses it in private against kusuo cuz he wants to prove he can beat him.. kusuo comes back from his brothers place absolutely BATTERED and bloody and the others are like "?!?!? did u battle someone and not tell us???" and hes like nah i was just hanging out with my brother

just a thought!! i didnt do everyone but with some of the others, i wasnt sure whether i would want them to be spider people in this au or not, like maybe theyd have some other role ?? would not be opposed to it though if anyone else has ideas for it or if i think of something..

Limbus Company x Epithet Erased (AU?)

Silly idea based off something me and my partner were talking about and I wanted to write down my thoughts on it since I can't really draw anything at the moment. It's mostly rambles for how the City would work with Epithet's rules.

There's room for improvement, these are just based off my first thoughts and sorta "going for the obvious".

Putting a read more so I don't present a wall. Some spoilers abound up to Canto V of Limbus, so be aware

Setting:

E.G.O. and Epithets are basically the same thing. Now, that's not to say people weren't learning they were Inscribed before L Corp and the Smoke War, but it was basically unheard of.

This is because Singularities are basically people with strong enough Epithet's figuring out how to Transcribe them into everyday objects or other such in a commercial fashion. This is a closely guarded secret of the Wings, as a rule of the Head, so that's why the Inscribed are practically unheard of until The White Nights and Dark Days. The City is still as hostile as you know it normally.

How does this work with the Whales, you may ask? Whales probably work the same as usual, but it's because they've parasitized enough Inscribed over the ages that the Whales themselves are basically all Inscribed with "Amalgam" or something akin to that. And then U Corp made the Tuning Forks out of them.

L Corp's E.G.O. equipment is basically Abnormalities Transcribing their Epithets into the extracted equipment, allowing any person, Inscribed or Mundie, to use that Epithet to some degree (since Abnos are derived from/created by humans anyway). Binah understands how this works and that's about it.

Effloresced E.G.O./Distortion is a byproduct of The White Nights and Dark Days basically allowing the City to realize there are a lot of Inscribed, in fact, Moses has deduced every person actually is Inscribed, but it's a matter of those people having their Epiphany, and how they handle it. Basically, works the same as E.G.O./Distortion manifestation anyway just with fancier words.

The Sinners/Limbus Company:

Limbus Company, or rather Faust, has figured out how to "Artificially" Inscribe the Sinners, which is how the other E.G.O. manifest through the Mephistopheles. All twelve also happen to be naturally Inscribed and have had their Epiphany, though their Epithets are not their base E.G.O..

(All of these Epithets come from their titles, extra explanation given for those that don't match said title 1:1)

Yi Sang - Pseudonym: Derived from his title "Ha Yong", another pseudonym author Kim Hae-Gyeong/Yi Sang went under. His Mirror technology was made by Transcribing his Epithet into a Mirror, allowing the Sinners to peer into the infinite possibilities. Without the Mirror, he is a natural mimic, able to briefly become someone else or use another person's Epithet, but it's not as strong.

Faust - Walpurgisnacht: Literally the holiday of the same name. She has some control of fire but is otherwise easily described as "a witch". She can use her fires to manifest familiars, or "cast spells" to cause debuffs

Don Quixote - Dream: Translation of the first half her title "Sueño Imposible". She leans even more into her "Righteous Fixer" persona, and things she "believes" are more likely to "become real". Example, she believes Rociante (her shoes) give her the speed of a horse, they will do so, or if she says her spear will pierce through anything, it can. This doesn't work well when her spirit is broken. (She runs on wish power basically)

Ryoshu - Incoherent: The part of her title "支離滅裂" literally means "Incoherent". Similar to Molly's "Dumb" Epithet, she is capable of rendering foes basically harmless by scrambling their brains, so to say. Also able to make it impossible to read something, but that's situational. She also leans into it with her S.A.N.G.R.I.A. by making herself "Incoherent" to those she has deemed unworthy of her words. (She's not using her power, she just chooses to do that).

Meursault - Sun: An exceedingly powerful heat-based Epithet on someone who actively chooses not to use it. It doesn't hurt him in a physical sense like Mera's Fragile, he just hates the amount of light it produces. He can summon sunlight, even in the depths of an L Corp branch, or simply clear the sky. It's also strong enough to melt through most barriers, just given how hot the Sun can get. It's power is still pretty low since he doesn't actively use it, but it seems to subconsciously manifest sometimes. His body also runs naturally warm due to his Epithet.

Hong Lu - Unreal: Translated from his title "太虛幻境". He's not really used to what it can do, so it's mostly "parlor tricks" like making small illusions. Due to him not using it much, his illusions are easy to see through, as they all have a jade-like color to them. He eventually picks up that he can make himself, or the other Sinners, disappear for a time, but that's currently a frowned-upon tactic as he once made Sinclair disappear for three days because he couldn't figure out how turn off his Epithet. It was only when he passed out from fatigue did Sinclair come back. (He was merely invisible, but that didn't make him feel better)

Heathcliff - Revenge: A Counter-based Epithet. He deals back twice as much damage as he takes. Impressively strong compared to others at the start, since it puts him at a pretty high power level, but given he hasn't figured out any other uses for it other than "take a hit, deal it back", he plateau's pretty quick. He's alright with that, since his Stamina is pretty high, but he can only take so much of a beating before his power means nothing because he's out of the fight.

Ishmael - Hearse: A surprisingly versatile Epithet. She's figured out how to manifest her power both offensively and defensively. On offense, she can call forth spirits of the departed to attack, while on defense she manifests a coffin as a shield. She doesn't like to talk about how everyone on the bus has seen a familiar spirit fight for her at some point.

Rodion - Split: Translated from her title "РАСКО́Л". Compared to everyone on the bus, she's more like Meursault where she doesn't use it much. Honestly, in terms of the story the last time she probably used it was after Canto III where she was able to get more chicken skewers by "splitting them up" between everyone. Other than that, she only really uses it to cheat at gambling, because no matter what she can "split" the pot and take home some cash.

Emil Sinclair - Bird: Translated from his title "Vogel". It's practically useless at the start, where at best he could summon a weak, and I do mean weak eggshell shield. With time he's managed to give himself wings at times, but they're not able to carry him yet. He's still learning how to use his Epithet effectively, and it only seems to grow exponentially more powerful, but for now the best he can do is tame seagulls for Ryoshu.

Outis - Nobody: Translated from her title and name "Ουτις". A fully realized parallel to Hong Lu's Epithet. She is able to make herself and others disappear for a short time perfectly, and has used this power to protect Dante from harm by making them invisible during combat. Beyond that, no one is quite sure what it does, and they're not sure why that is.

Gregor - Vermin: Literal translation of his title "Ungeziefer". He hates his Epithet more than anyone else on the bus. If Meursault and Rodion barely use theirs, he never uses it. Because of Hermann and the Smoke War, it's actually really powerful and is how his right arm manifested. She used his Epithet to Transcribe his mutations onto other G Corp soldiers. This was also how he became the poster boy for the war, he had control over his soldiers, no matter how much he hated it. He can command both total control of actual pests like insects, and mind control people like Rats or other such "lowlifes" widely considered by the City to be nusiances.

Dante - ?: Honestly, they don't know their Epithet yet/anymore, or if the Golden Boughs or their old head have anything to do with it. The clock head itself seems to be Inscribed with "Restore", but they don't know that or if that's the word. The pact they made with the Sinners is how they're able to die and not lose their Epithets as they are literally rewound back before the Epithets "become free", much to the chagrin of some Sinners like Gregor or Ishmael.

Ok so FIRST!

(these are in no order, just how uh I’m writing about them) THE OG (UNDERTALE) [kinda also no]

SO I’m not going to go on about how great the game that Toby fox made is, because we all know it is! And I feel a bit nervous to try and explain what we all already know, plus I’m not too good with words or meanings… and I’m not sure I’d be able to write just how much I love this silly game.

Uhh… BUT BUT!!!

But I also LOVE LOVE!!!! The stuff people do with the “after” game. What I mean by that is those silly comics or artwork of life on the surface, like I feel like it can be taken to so many places!!! Like character studies or just a mundane routine that they adopt when they move.

AS ASSSS!!!! Like what do the characters think of the new change of scenery? What jobs do they get? DO they struggle with the change? Are people rude to them? Do they still carry a burden??? DO THEY GET PAST THEIR TRAUMA???? Or does it become worse? Do they ever get a happy ending? Are we seeing their journey to getting used to all of it? WHAT THE ABSOLUTE MOTHER FUCKING FUCK IS FLOWEY GOING TO DO?????? SO MANY POSSIBILITIEEES!!!!!  One that I loved a few years back was Growth Spurt by potoo brigham (on Tumblr), where we follow Asriel trough what can be best described as an awkward phase. (tho I haven’t read it in a while)

Or other can be Unexpected guests by undertalethingems (on Tumblr), that APPART FROM THE MAIN STORYLINE BEING THAT THE GASTER BLASTERS NOW GOT A FULL BLOWN BODY it also explores some of the topics I put at the beginning… (mind you, I haven’t read it in a long time so I’m sorry)  (I realized I’m kinda bad at keeping up with comics I like… L)

And I also talked about the art, in general Undertale fanart is just SO beautiful to look at, and that (unsurprisingly) also happens when people draw the monster in the surface, like I dunno… Toriel and Frisk taking a train home when the sun is setting and that stuff…

In general, I just love the ideas it can bring to the table, and how artists can like grab a piece of cannon (or fanon I dunno) and mold it to a story they want to tell with character that they love.

OK NEXT 

The edge (Underfell) 

Kinda short (doesn’t mean I don’t like it, it’s just more simple!)

I loved Underfell when I first came into contact with the fandom, it became my fave au of ALL time (probably because it was… well…edgy lol), and I loved pretty much everything it had to do with the au, if you had a thumbnail on Youtube with Underfell little me would have clicked that mf within the millisecond.

But of course, it was all mostly fanon, as I don’t really think in the 2016 or 2017 canon was too popular?

AT least not on Youtube… 

little story.

I had a phase going on when I was… I dunno, 15? 16 maybe? That I thought everything Undertale related was cringe (As you can see that was just a phase), and I was repelled by it, not sure why but it was what it was.

But many months after (I don’t really remember the specifics) I came back to the fandom, because the 4 u page just kept showing me Undertale and I decided to watch a few videos for the sake of nostalgia… then few months later I created my personal tumblr to see sOME of the art… then I followed a few people… then twitter… and before I knew it I had already jumped into the UNDERTALE bandwagon again.

But one of the AUs that made me stay for sure was Underfell (shocking I know), because I had found Fella/Vic’s (twitter and tumblr) posts and drawings, and I loved all of it. The canon is just so fun to find out about, I love to just scroll down and just read the comics or the pictures.

I really love the characters, just the little differences with the OG cast makes them super COOL.

VERY COOL!!!

I really love sans! He’s actually very very ummm…. He’s unflusterable.

Like, how many pf you knew that Fell sans does own a spike collar, but it’s FOR the pet rock, and how when papyrus found it assumes it was sans’ and was confused but ready to support sans in whatever weird shit he was into.

Like I LOVE THAT… Or or or how papyrus HATES Asgore with all his might, but stands him BECUASE of Undyne.

I gained a full appreciation for canon stuff since then. (fanon is ok!)

Plus, the fact that the au even exist is because someone asked Vic to draw “evil Toriel” just makes it better.

(PLUS PLUS have you seen the designs????? oR THE ALT OUTFITS!! THE ART!!??! They are AH! Just… just… cheff’s kiss) THIRDah

WHAT IN THE ABSOLUTE FUCK (Horrortale + a little story)

Funny thing, I’m not a fan of any type of horror, ironic yeah? 

But surprisingly enough, I enjoy Horrortale enough that I can just go about it with ALMOST no problems. The art is beautifully horrifying in the best ways, Sour Apple studious’ art style does everything right at the time of conveying just how horrifying Aliza’s journey is, like I remember that one animation they posted like a few years back where It’s just an animated screenshot of one of the pages from the comic. BUT MAN did I get scared. In general I think Horrortale conveys everything so well, from the sheer horror that the general story and topics bring, or maybe even the corruption of our favorite characters.

Like we have The Queen Undyne, she went from the hero of the story to a dictator who got corrupted because of gigantic amounts of pressure. Like the KING died, the Queen is nowhere to be seen, the human massacred a lot of monsters (the same human that Undyne considered a friend even), and all hope that the 6 human souls brought is gone, and to make matter worse the CORE has stopped working.

It’s a terrifying experience to go through, I don’t think I would have been able to handle that trauma. And the worst thing is, that Undyne being able to live through that trauma is what made her the person that she became in the present Horrortale. 

Like you would NEVER see Undyne threaten to kill someone for a candy, of course it’s limited food down in the underground, but the Undertale Undyne would have done her best to help others.

Or Papyrus, who is pretty much the only monster who still holds a semblance of a moral, but that doesn’t mean he’s naïve in the context of Horrortale. Papyrus was tricked (in a way) to eat humans, for bad and good intentions. And that messes someone up, because I don’t think he doesn’t know. 

And It’s not just that, every character that we see is just twisted in horrible ways that the situation has pushed them trough.

Horrortale takes a few years after Undertale, Aliza comes like 7 years after (8 now?) the player came and left everything to rot, and consider that monsters have been feeding of the little flesh that they can get, even the snow has become uneatable. Children are dying, magic is just not what it used to be (for fucks sake Grillby is the BEST fucking example of the undergrounds’ situation).

Now you might wonder that even after all that, why do I like Horrortale so much?… When I was a little lad (if I wanted berries and cream, mummy made me do the little lad dance), I was a FNAF fan, and one day I was watching “FNAF FUNNY AND CUTE” video (I distinctly remember one where the animatronics where in a sort of band that was playing a silly tune and the other was that the animatronics jumping into a box, and the foxy one couldn’t get through the box because it was metal) and I was enjoying myself.

Then in a moment of distraction Youtube auto played into another video, not FNAF tho, Undertale. And I DISTICTLY remember it (my memory is very weird, I don’t remember almost nothing but THAT I almost have a photographic memory of), it was a fan made video of the AU Horrortale. It was a fan’s interpretation of what could have happened to sans’ head, how did the situation play. And I believe it was before Sour apple studios released the “past arc” and we knew how exactly did Undyne break sans’ head.

I have researched a bit and it seems it’s called “Horrortale the law” I don’t remember the exact video, but I’m pretty sure it was a dub in my language… I think it was like 7 years ago?

Shortly after, I got into the fandom.

In any case, I was left pretty confused, as I didn’t know who the characters where or anything, but it’s left a bit mark on me. And that’s why my appreciation to Horrortale will always remain strong… even if I can’t really stand horror stories…

Angst, angst for everyone (Gztale) [the point where I can’t put my feelings into words]

Gztale, ah yes, little me’s roman empire. I kid you not, I CONSTANTLY thought of Gztale, I was OBSESSED with it. And sometimes I still do.

Gztale, tarts with our favorite non-cannon buddy, GASTAH. With our favorite non- cannon theory, DADSTAH.  He takes some Determination from the already fallen human souls (I believe they were two at the beginning) and make some pills. And like ANY GOOD SCIENTIST he tests them on his kin. He’s like “take these son, they’ll make you STRONK, like vitamin… but with human essence in them… BUT THAT JUST MEANS IT’LL BE STRONGER!!!

NO DON’T CRY!!!  TO SHOW YOU THEY WORK!!!

I YOUR FATHER, A GROWN ASS MAN, WILL FIGHT YOU (my who knows how old son… maybe 12?) TO SHOW YOU THEY REALLY WORK AND THAT I’M NOT BEING ABUSIVE!!!!”

The comic mAINLY focuses on Sans going through, y’know… the usual stuff you feel after your dad experimented on you and physically abused you to see if his experiment worked.

PLUS!!! (I don’t think I saw this anywhere, so take it with a pinch of salt) I believe Gaster also gave pap some of those pills too? AND PAPYRUS WENT TROUGH AN ACCIDENT AND EVERYTHING JUST…. BWAAAAAA!!!!!!!

AND EVERYTHING went TO THE DEEPEST SHIT.

CUZ PAP’S IS ALREADY COOL AS FUCK, GIVE HIM DT!! AND HE’S COOLER!!!

And If you ARE FAMILIAR with Gztale, or at least saw some pics, you know that Papyrus is…kind of an antagonistic force!!!  WHYYY?? People ask in the back. WELL You go and find the comic NOW, It’s very VERY COOL. 

Ok so now, I will admit, I never got to finish the comic for reasons I forgot, but I’m sure one could have been that the guy who was dubbing the chapters stopped for who know what and the second could be because my brain was SRTUGGLING to grasp the plot accordingly.

But of course, I re-read the entire thing just now to do this because my 12 to 13-year-old self’s’ mind is not the best example of a sharp memory, and I tell you I would have loved it SO MUCH.

LIKE… SO MUCH!!! In any case I always loved the…. uhm… essence? I couldn’t really say, just every time I see Gztale I just… :D, y’know?

And I really REALLY wish I could explain why, like I did with the others, but it’s such a raw emotion that I can’t possibly put it into words… Or maybe better? I dunno.

In any case, the creator golzybladedee (tiktok, twitter and Instagram) deleted the comic because they created Gztale in a not to happy time of their life and it brought them distress… BUT NOW if you go to twitter you’ll see that golzyblade has handed over the “ownership” of the AU to Nixensibrat (twitter), so we MIGHT see some uhhh Gztale in the future…

KILLER QUEEN!!! (killer! Sans)  So this one’s a little obvious, cuz we all love Killer sans. HE’S SUCH a VERSITILE CHARACTER, like I’ve seen comics back to back, where in one killer is a little shit who’s going to do the thing he was SPECIFICALLY told NOT to do, and the other is JUST PAIN, PAIN COATED IN LAYERS OF PAIN.

And I love him for it.  Like, he has so much potential in every spectrum!!!! I personally enjoy when people make him sympathetic. Like yes, he kills people, but not necessarily because he wants to kill people. Does he have a bloodthirst? Yes. Is he interested in giving into the bloodthirst? Not necessarily! like, Killer sans usually kills because Nightmare orders him to do so, if Nightmare hadn’t found him killer would probably stay in his AU rotting away. PLUS, if Dream had been the one to find Killer first, Killer would be as loyal to him as he is with Nightmare!

Killer is so out of it, that the moment a gooey version of him appeared and was like “Be my servant, the pay will be torture” he was like “sir I will now be by your side for no reason at all”. Witch also gives him a bit of (forgot the word I was thinking of, it’s like… SAD). Like ALL OF HIM could be better, HE COULD HAVE A BETTER OUTCOME!!! LIKE HE COULD HAVE ALREADY CAME BACK TO HIS AU????

Like it’s crazy to think about what happened to him, if it weren’t for Nightmare he would probably be in a better state now, probably not being in stage 0 (just sans) But like, better mentally at least. Like Core could have taken him to the OT, and he would have a better time there than alone rotting somewhere in an empty space, where his only company are the usual hallucinations and the NOT so usual people. also, his AU is still there, like it’s a sans-less AU, because once le left the world was left without its greatest source of DT, so naturally the next biggest DT person would have been Flowey. I believe that SOMEHERE in rahafwabas (tumblr) there is something explaining that.  And that Flowey reset the world and that everything’s normal again, except Papyrus is looking for his missing brother.

In general Killer (with everything, including stages and all) IS SUPER INTRESTING. Like I could stay here writing how much I love each stage and all BUT… But…

Ok maybe a bit… In any case we all know the second stage, the “I’m sponsored by target” stage, it’s the most common, mainly because Nightmare keeps him in that stage as it is the most manageable while also being the most servant.

Like we’ve seen Nightmare change Killer from stage 1 (the target in heart form) to stage two, BeCAUSE that is the one he likes the most. Even then, stage two isn’t entirely serviceable (is that the word??? Like uh… he takes orders?), sometimes we can see that stage 2 has a little white pupil, that is a sign of “the sans we know”. Stage 1 Is (as I said) the target in shape of a heart (Dunno how to explain better),that is the most chill stage, like is ALMOST sans, but it’s also the more prone to hallucinating stuff. Stage 3 is KILLER GO APE SHIT (which is still great potential for angst, like Killer doesn’t remember when he goes ape shit, and even then, he is pretty tired after that and immediately goes back to two. And he can only tell he went ape shit because of the surroundings, it’s like he wakes up, sees mess and is like “aw shit”) Stage 4 we’ve never seen, but it’s probably APE SHIT multiplied by (imagine funny number). And I love them for that… BEFORE I pass onto the next(s) one(s)… A little smth smth… that liquid is his eye melting. Like you know the amalgamates right? Kinda like that.

I messed up my painting (Error! Sans………… and Ink! Sans) [we talk a little about ships… JUST… a wee bit] Ok I’m putting these together… it will make sense in a bit… OK SO WHO ELSE SEARCHED FOR INK OR ERROR SANS AND GOT ERRORINK??? OR… LITTERALY ANY AU AND GOT (you guessed it) ERRORINK???? Well, it MIGHT not be a universal experience, but it was for me I suppose. SO for the longest time, I just assumed Error and Ink were just… Errorink (wow I deserve a noble price for that AWESOME WRITING).

In any case… Uh I never really cared for that ship, I mean people can do pretty cool stuff. But still, it was JUST there. But if you remember from the Underfell thingy, I found my appreciation for cannon stories. And this WORKS SO WELL WITH THESE TWO ESPECIFICALLY!!! Like I FUCKING WATCHED A 3 HOUR LONG  VIDEO ON GENO’S AND ERROR’S uhm.. lives? Deaths? UHHH JUST PASTS???!!! And I love it so much, you should check it out… If… if you know spaniSH.

we now talk about Error: Error sans, much like Killer, Is SUCH a complex character. And he’s kinda doing it my accident??? As CrayonQueen (twitter and Tumblr) has said, Error is a mess, he’s a big man baby! As his name suggests he’s an error (wow), and everyone who has had an error on their computer will know that those fuckers are everything but easy. AAAND that’s what you need to understand Error, he’s unpredictable. In any given situation he’ll act completely different depending on… who knows what??? People usually portray him as this grumpy old man, which it’s not bad! But he’s more of a Grumpy baby, who is mad because you peeled his banana and HE WANTED IT WITH THE SKIN!!!  AND IT WAS THE LAST FUCKING BANANA!!!!

SO NOW HIS DAY IS RUINED!!!! AND YOU DID THIS BECAUSE YOU HATE HIMMMM!!!! AAAAAGHAHGSCAHJCDGJVVDJVDB<VDOIP!!!!!!!!! Y’know?

And I love him for that. Like he’s a cutesy guy sometimes, and sometimes he’s an ass. …manbaby.

Plus, the whole Geno backstory just makes Error’s more (AGAIN THE WORD I FORGOR!!!! But it’s kinda like miserable??? Like LIKE um YOU GET ME???). Because CQ told us that Aftertale had 3 possible endings, Miserable, Bittersweet, Good. We can assume that the one we got in Aftertale was the happy one… 

So that makes Error the miserable one, the worst ending.

And you know it’s just sad… Error is just the result of someone’s worst ending.

DW tho! Some Geno out there still got their happy ending!

And of course we also have Fatal! Error who IS A WHOLE ‘NOTHER THING!!!!

Now INK:

Ink is a little straight forward, but also no.

Like Ink is all about Creating, but not necessarily in parallel to Error, while also sorta yes. Ink’s backstory goes like this.

He’s from an AU that was never finished, the creator gave up on it. The only one who got any semblance of emotions was (ironically) Ink sans, but of course, he couldn’t bear to be alone. So he erased himself, it provided a HUGE problem for him, as he was emotionless, he had nothing to live for. But the creations, the creators, all of that was what gave him meaning.  And this rings incredibly close to me…

I have it since I was probably 14 or so.

I have an AU… not the silly post-it sans OC with a cool bro OC. I have an AU that was based of of a LOT of stuff in you might see in this long ass post, it started as a sans solo AU (because of course it was), and It evolved with me as I also grew up.

I’ve been working on and off of it for years.

And you might not see it honestly, because I feel so wrong about it, like the story is just bits and pieces I saw in bed just before sleeping. I barely tied those together.  And the designs are… WELL… designing clothes is pretty hard.

And I almost gave up on it…

But I really want to continue, I want to y’know…? And um… Ink’s story kind of put that into perspective for me… …

ANYWAYS!  UM…  it got gloomy… IN ANY CASE! Ink’s story hits very close to home for me, as I explained a few moments before.  But also, I just feel it makes sense for a character like him, I mean… He LIVES for the creations, and not only because he “protects them” and more like… All we (as creators) do is what keeps him alive. Like Ink’s immortal right? Well kinda, he’s almost immortal. The moment the creations stop the paints that give him a perspective into life will also vanish. He might not die entirely, but he’ll just be an empty shell, alone in a white space. So It kinda rings hard for me that he’s literally feeding from our stuff, he’s here because of u and me. And well… APART from that he’s also just an interesting character. Ink is a shell that he himself fills with temporary feelings, this kinda makes him a bit dense in some situations and might act a little out of place. BUT he doesn’t mean wrong!!! I have seen a lot of like “evil” ink, and I feel that the idea can be interesting, but also, I think that a lot of people read “NEUTRAL ink” and assume that must mean he’s just a little mean? 

Maybe unintentionally so, usually it’s portrayed as a thing that’s out of his control but that he’s also not bothered by it and does nothing to change. And I don’t really think he would act like that? Ink is a little forgetful, but he does write stuff to try and remember! Ink struggles to understand situations, but he is trying (I think)!

He likes to play pranks but I don’t think he intends them to be mean! And he’s just a cool character… Plus he’s as much of a fan of AU’s as we are. (in a way, kinda)

And all that good stuff.

And I feel like comyet (tumblr) really did make a memorable silly.

So in 2022 (I THINK), I was ready for life! Until I wasn’t. so… y’know I went to get help!

And it wasn’t too peppy. Until I found THIS GUY!!!! I was scrolling through Tumblr and I found hheisa’s account here, and would you look at that… they have a Sans (my personal favorite thing [kinda] since I was a child) with what I have! (kinda, almost!) So he helped me a lot! In a way, this might be cheesy, but I felt pretty alone but… then he’s there and I felt that maybe I wasn’t. and you know, that’s about it.

Hheisa hasn’t posted much of him, but I still love whenever he pops out in my FYP.

Um that’s it.

OH and because of a comic I found out that sucking on ice is pretty good for uh, not good times.

A BIT OF A PROBLEM (bitty au) [self-indulgence] So if you’ve been a long time in the fandom you’ve probably seen at least ONE SOMETHING with bitties!!! It is very self-indulgent too, but it doesn’t need to be. Like m pretty sure some of you know Poetax right?

They have a string of comics about UT, UF and US sans’ and papyrus’ with their respective bitties, and as weird as it is to have a miniature version of yourself on your shoulder, they make it work yaknow??? Fucken-Crybaby left the Au for reasons I’m unaware of, but left it open for people to still use the bitties.

ok so! In any case! Bitty bones AU (or I don’t know the official name) is an AU where your favorite characters are miniature versions of themselves!

And these fuckers are tiny! Like stupid tiny. Like you do a “call me” sign and try to make it as big as you can, and that’s about as big as bitties get. this one!

But of course this isn’t a rule, you can make bitties as smol or as big as you want.

And you can adopt them!

With such an interesting prompt the AU got very popular, because you could: Give your favorite AU a mini version of whoever you wanted, you could be self-indulgent and draw yourself (or an OC) with a bitty! It was very cool! Y’know??? It was your tiny silly! There are uh, like BASE bitties, like for example a Sansy bitty is always hungry, seepy, is funny, and lazy. Or like a Fell who is like an angry cat. He will fucking destroy your stuff, is going to bite, is prone to fighting other bitties and stuff!

And there’s also Papyrus bitties and Grilbitties (love that name)!

And there was even a chart of how some bitties reacted to others! But you were allowed to make your own! Let’s say you had an OC of who knows what, and if you wanted to make it a bitty to just play with the idea, you can! Like if you wanted a Toriel bitty  you could make yours! And that’s about it! I hold this AU very dearly, is very cute and even if bitties aren’t as popular as they once were, I still think they are neat.

And the stuff you could do with them! You can just do a homey story with bitties, just hanging out. Very cute story where you (or whoever you want) adopts a bitty and you now have to learn to live together with antics and all that good stuff! Or you can try and make all the stuff of: HOW MORALLY OK IS IT TO HAVE THAT THING??? ARE THEY OK BEING SMOL? HOW ARE THEY MADEE????

And if you are into bitties like I am you’ve probably seen some of these!

OH HELL YES!!! I LOVE TOUCANS!!! (Seraphim! Sans)  (GOF FUCKING DAMNIT WE’RE ALMOST AMOST DONE!!!)

Ok so Seraphim sans comes from this cool comic known as “the thought”.

It comes from sans’ thought. “What if one day, the human doesn’t reset? What is one day we just cease to exist?”  So he acts, he attacks the human when they leave the ruins.

He takes the human’s soul, and takes it to Asgore. So they’re going to break the barrier to just have an ending.  But Asgore, doesn’t really want to, he wants to wait, as he has killed so many humans… KIDS for that matter. And he’s afraid, humans were always stronger than monsters, and there are millions of more humans then monsters. But sans is like “Dude, I didn’t just break a promise to just sit around” so he makes a not so thought out decision. He’s going to do it himself.

And of course he turns into… TOUCAN.

And shenanigans happen…

I highly recommend looking for the comic made by tratserenoyreve (on tumblr).  Or look for the comic dub by Starbot Dubs (yes, they are the ones from CPAU too).

I ABSOLUTELY love HOW the author brings this story. Like come ONNNNN!!!!!

Ok so, one of my favorite things is how the characters are portrayed! Like the human souls, they are faceless here, nameless, but they still have that little bit of personality and I love that even when they are literally faceless, they aren’t completely gone! And even so, the story has a bit of a bittersweet ending. BUT FIRST WE TALK ABOUT THE STORY! So after sans does the stupid, everyone’s just… confused and hurt on what to do? The human souls are permanently attached to sans, who didn’t really stop to think about the AFTER. And they want to extract the souls from him. But now here comes the interesting part, they are all there, like Sans can communicate with ALL 8 kids, and he’s not necessarily sure of how to feel? He’d just expected to have unlimited power and that’s it, but the human souls are here to stay. So, papyrus has to take sans home, the King, Undyne, Papyrus and the former Queen decide to keep the broken barrier a secret. Until they can safely get the human souls back, of course. So that means that they’ll have to wait until Alphys has messed with the DT extractor as it wasn’t BUILT for 7 human souls. The days go by, and Alphys has finished it.

Sans gets into the lab and kinda opens up about what he knows to Alphys, why he acted so rushed? Why of everything. And it seems it’s a good start to a new beginning, but things aren’t to well. The DT extractor begins to hurt Sans’ soul, and the kids are freaking out, so Integrity tries to help by teleporting. That of course leads to them getting lost in between the files, the space between. And they find the code to the game, and get exited! That means they can mess with it and make everyone live; they can make Frisk… well Frisk! Instead of a shell we use to play. But they encounter… (drum roll)  OUR FAVORITE SILLY!!!  GASTER!!!!! And of course, he tell them that this is bigger than they could ever imagine, and the fact that they stopped “it’s” game could mean the erasure of the world.

(As in, imagine you are playing Undertale, sans kills you JUST before the ruins and your game is a permanent GAME OVER)

SO shit goes down.

I’m not going to explain the WHOLE thing cuz you HAVE TO read it!

And then Sans and the kids are left with a choice, Reset or continue. Reset means everything goes back to the loop, continuing means the possible end to their world. And It ends in a tie 4 to 4. And it’s all left to Frisk to decide.

They choose both, they ask if they can copy the game and hide it somewhere where the OG copy is the one that’ll continue in the endless loop, the one that is hiding is just them continuing to live.

I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!

I re-watched the comic dub to refresh my memory a bit, and to understand the parts that I didn’t when I was younger (because English bad).

And I cannot express HOW much I loved all of it! It’s a great story with great moments.

And I REALLY REALLY recommend it!

Just love the use of how they manage to at least save ONE COPY of themselves. Like somewhere there’s the other copy going through the loop again and again and again.

And I just can’t begin to explain the feeling that that gives me! Love it with all my heart. Now  WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK!!!! THIS IS EVEN WORSE?!?!?! (Underworld) 

Simple enough.  Not fan of horror, but I found underworld’s designs and fell INLOVE with them.  Not much to say, just that it has the potential of a hundred suns and that is it. LIKE LOOK IT UP AND YOU’LL SEE??? 

Personal favorite is Undyne and Toriel.

But it’s died down a HOLE lot, the fandom grew and from the AU’s that have managed to survive it, I feel this one’s been left behind. I mean there’s still fanart, but like it’s not popping up like others. The aesthetics are MY ABSOLUTE favorite, because there’s not too much of a change in story.  I mean there IS, and it’s pretty cool. But what sells me is the aesthetics, just the whole vibe!!! I think Heather doesn’t really like Devon(obviously-), she never has any interactions or conversations with him unless it’s like absolutely required or something, he has kinda stopped bothering her 4 the least part but that’s like the bare minimum, if it’s not required 4 her to then the only other possible reason she would ever interact with him is becuz Kelsey’s there with him, which brings us to her relationship with Kelsey, Heather nd him are pretty good friends I think, they probably have some common interests plus Kelsey’s just really nice in general so I think it’d be easy for anyone to just come up and talk to him (I’m not saying he’s completely approachable though because I think it’d b funny if he had a somewhat intimidating demeanor, mostly outside ov school), also she kinda has a crush on him sooo, lastly, Mick, honestly they don’t have much interest in interacting with each other, plus, since Heather would rather prefer if Devon wasn’t there she’d obviously struggle to communicate with Mick like in general, without those problems tho they’d probably just be chill or something idk, Heather herself is honestly just, neutral, she probably won’t stay that was I just need 2 develop her more I actually thought Heather and her friend group were Devon’s bullies at first but then realized there is no actual evidence that points to them bullying him, I mean they most likely don’t treat him nor Mick the best but to be fair they probably barely know anything abt either of them except their friend basically gets harassed by one of them and both of them are bullied by most ov their class/the school, maybe most of what they know is like nasty rumors or some shit idk, either way they are mostly neutral unless Dev’s being a creep I’m still in the process of developing Heather nd her friends so I don’t have much 2 say about them off the top ov my head, it would help if you were more specific with what u wanna know about them, even asking something such as, “what’s their favorite food/color/etc” would help (I hope the way I worded that didn’t come off as condescending or anything)

2. My portrayal ov their relationship does change from time to time but they r in fact together(ish) in my AU, tho sometimes yes it seems like they have “love-hate” relationship (the hate part is more lighthearted ofc, at least most ov the time)

So ummm Zeno au<3 I’m really normal. Allow me to give a brief explanation of what Zeno is first You see, Zeno is a fictional disease sort of thing that makes people cannibals. Specifically an oneset is caused by traumatic events/extreme cases of unrequited love(specifically mostly familial) and the only cure is eating the flesh of someone else with Zeno.(not widely known.) It’s also transmittable through biting like zombies. there’s one specific facility with scientists dedicated to getting to the bottom of how to cure zeno, also housing ‘patients’ (or, people with zeno being used as lab rats). Now onto character lore.

So william and henry were good friends right. Yeah. Considering that they even have a small diner together. Well one day will got zeno (oh no!) and started slowly picking off kids going to the diner. He even accidentally attacked Charlie, who escaped in one piece luckily. Charlie went to the afton household to see if he was doing okay (because will’s like an uncle to her and all! And also what if everyone else got hurt?) only to find will ate them all oops. And yeah same happened to her, but since he transmitted zeno to Charlie he was cured! How convenient! The people in charge of the labs ended up roping him and henry into being scientists for them through shady shady means and well the two aren’t on good terms and avoid each other like the plague. Henry’s still sore over the ‘you ate my fucking daughter’ thing. Luckily he has his assistant/the archivist (tape girl) to keep him company. So Vanessa right! Crazzy I know. Nessa as we know comes from a broken family. In this specific au I’m mixing her backstory with the character who’s place she’s taking (hi kuro) so basically her parents. Neglect her. In favor of her younger sibling because she was born from her mom’s affair and blablabla… she grows up basically taking care of herself. Eventually she develops zeno and starts you know. Killing and eating random girls as you do. When one night she comes home and is confronted by her parents about this!! And well you can guess. What happens to them lol. She gets captured and taken to the zeno facility where she’s specifically studied/talked to by William! They’re funny bc nessa hasn’t had anyone willingly spend so much time around her and be so nice to her. Will … well she’s a specimen to him lol. Since being cured himself zeno has been a subject of interest to him, he’s thrown himself completely into his work (under the guise of feeling soooo guilty for his actions which henry can see right through) and well. He’s realized the consumption of human flesh has something to do with it, since eating Charlie cured him. So he’s been …. Robbing the morgue/killing people when needed to feed vanessa every time they meet. Which, she’s more docile when she’s not hungry so it kind of works but she’s not like cured you know. It has the side affect of her being hungry when it’s time for someone to chat with her though which was funny the one time henry had to go in will’s stead cause he offered her a granola bar and she was like 😐 ew.?? Anyways will has gotten her total trust because he also plays board games with her yay!! He’s the only one not enforcing the whole straightjacket-dog muzzle combo also so she’s like woah !! He sees me as another human unlike these other guys :DD (needless to say zeno patients are not treated very humanely.lol) there was also one time tape girl had to be a substitute for william but nothing of note happened they just kinda chilled and ness threatened her in a backhanded and mildly gay sort of way.as you do.

Anyway yeah so basically Henry’s been experimenting with treatment through amnesia and totally surely unrelated note at the actual start of the story, Will and Nessa wake up in a strange room with no clue who they are or how they got here, and have to navigate the now bloody and corpse-strewn facility while handcuffed together with nothing to guide them except each other and the only clue to their pasts is tampered resumes which effectively switch their backstories!! Nessa is under the impression that she’s the scientist (the whole cannibalism part was left out) and she thinks William is the serial murderer/cannibal. Which was funny cause she read her own resume like wow… I’m kind of a big deal huh :) and then read Will’s like ERM.OKAY… Will didn’t read either of the resumes. Also tape girl gave everyone code names and said code names were swapped on the resumes also! So ‘bonnie’(nessa) and ‘vanny’(will) are just kind of cluelessly walking around like damn this place is really… corpsey:) until henry starts showing up and trying to kill them (he contracted zeno big surprise) and also tape girl (assumed dead) shows up sometimes just to see how things are going. Lots of shenanigans and also murder ensue.

The game also has multiple endings so. sometimes nessa ends up killing william lol. Intestine jumprope…. … ……… Also side note.will found out it’s specifically zeno infected humans that need to be fed to patients to cure them but kinda. Didn’t cure nessa on purpose<3 because she’s sort of entirely dependent on him in this way and she’s kind of his only friend.the same way he’s her only friend……wacky wild!

Tape girl is having a fucking.day. Because henry mentioned he was going to do something but likeee. She didn’t expect to be caught in the crossfires of a HUGE MASS MURDER CANNIBAL EVENT.AS LIKE ONE OF THE 4 PEOPLE STILL ALIVE IN HERE,.. once he chilled out henry explained himself and she agreed to help out (she also decided to distribute some of her recorded notes.just for fun…after the two get separated for the first time ‘vanny’ listens to them and is like woah… i was a patient here⁉️ And bon was my unethical doctor⁉️⁉️ which is funny) but like. She is the only one NOT infected in here and would like to keep it that way so she’s having quite the time. Seeing vanessa walking around unrestrained keeps jumpscaring her LOL. Once ness’s zeno symptoms start returning well ofc will as the only one she’d encountered here who she cares about is the first target but tape girl nearly gets chomped too lol.

Zeno has an interesting affect on the subjects mood which is funny. Basically when an oneset happens and the person with zeno is running around eating people they’re in a crazed manic state which. Is really fun.will and nessa are wandering around handcufffed and he’s like uhh bonnie you okay cause her facial expressions.well they went from the example on the left to the one on the right.

It’s funny bc. The memory erasure actually technically did work… her symptoms only started returning bc she got bit LOL

Pre-the amnesia incident the other three’s interactions with vanessa were pretty.limited. Considering she’s theeee most dangerous patient. Will talks to her for like an hour daily but Henry only really knows her as ‘william’s mutt’ (he was especially not a fan when he found out will had been FEEDING HER HUMAN FLESH.) and tape girl is afraid of her but also. Kind of endeared from their two in person interactions. The second one in which vanessa tried to convince her to let her cannibalize her but hey she was very polite about it..!! Henry and tape girl are both shocked and stunned that she’s actually pretty chill when she’s not insane and eating people.

Yes! The Collector has an arc analogous to King’s ‘who and what was my dad, why did he disappear on me and who am I?’ arc in Season Two. This is an arc exploring, addressing and wanting to make up for their morally grey actions (namely their role in the Titan genocide), the sheer power and irresponsible behaviour of their past self as a whole, and how to reconcile all of that with who he is in the present and the mature, heroic person he aspires to be.

“Echoes of the Past” and “Edge of the World” are title-swapped in the AU, I think, because Season Two episode three has them visit Titan Trapper Island and the other becomes the one with King and his island.

So, in Season One we know that the Collector used to be a god in terms of his power level, had much the same naively careless, selfish, flippant personality they had at the start of the show, and therefore did some dodgy stuff without realizing how harmful it was. But the worst example of that we have is persecuting and trapping the Owl Beast and that hatchet is mostly buried at the start and fully buried in an early Collie-centric episode. As far as we know, his actions never had more severe or far-reaching consequences. Associating real murder with this kid who sleeps with stuffed animals and thinks making bread puns with Luz is the height of comedy is just impossible.

“Edge of the World” begins with a news broadcast about Belos and King and ‘the Titan’s plans’, which the Owl House family scoff at. Collie has already said in “Young Blood, Old Souls” that they saw live Titans and know that the very dead one they live on retaining the ability of communication is bullshit, but now they casually mention an old friend named Bill who might still be alive and will back them up on that. Luz and Lilith jump at the chance to help people - if someone other than ‘the Owl Lady’s weird delinquent kid’ can verify that nobody can hear the dead Titan, they could prove Belos is lying to his subjects to control them! Lilith individually is also interested in the rich history of a whole different civilization to be learned. Collie is on board and thinking more in the short term excited to see how Bill is doing; even if he’s dead, the Titan Trappers are probably still around, and it’ll be so fun to introduce their new friends to their old friends’ descendants! Eda is wary because she knows, but hasn’t really talked to Collie about it due to discomfort with deflating their joyful mood and damaging their faith in people, that it seems like most of the Collector’s “old friends” were just using him for personal gain. But her kids beg her, so she agrees. Off to Titan Trapper island they all go, including Hooty. They bring the Collector’s tablet to prove it’s him (their last physical form looked different) and in case they know how to fix it, or can unlock their power with their own tablet, though it’s already broken. Between prospective reunions, showing Eda, Luz and Hooty around his old stomping grounds and the slimmest possibility of restoring his god status, Collie has high hopes!

The Titan Trappers do indeed recognize the Collector. They warmly welcome “the Grand Hunstman” and their company with gifts and a feast. Collie explains the name is a nickname they gave him for being the best at playing the Trappers’ favourite game: Titan chase! Before they can elaborate on what this game involved, they’re distracted catching up with Bill, who seems genuinely interested in them and their life even after learning he’s no more powerful than he looks now. Meanwhile Luz is supportive but more interested in debunking Belos’s Titan claims. She, like Hooty and Eda is more cautious of the Trappers, but Eda is barely concealing hostility and tries to keep up with her kid. She smells a rat. This is way too good to be true. Bill inspects the cracked tablet and he and Collie dig deep into magical research.

Meanwhile, Lilith and Hooty go with Luz to look for Titan info to leverage against Belos, Lilith more focused on historical and cultural knowledge. They finds the skulls. Child skulls. They’ve seen King, so they has a frame of reference for the sizes.

Holy shit. Titan chase was genocide.

Collie led a genocide.

Bill figures out a magic-freeing ritual might just be possible, by channeling it through the two points of connection with the Collector’s former prison and exposing him to the flow. Problem is, they’ll need Titan blood to activate the ritual. And Belos is guarding the last surviving Titan. Collie is content knowing it’s possible and remarks that Belos has plenty of King’s blood fuelling his machines and stuff (as Luz observed during “Young Blood, Old Souls”) and it’ll just be a matter of stealing some of it. Then they can play all the cool superpowered games they used to and more!

Bill seems weirdly upset about this and reminds the Grand Huntsman that they still need to resume their long-paused game of Titan chase. It was so much fun, doesn’t he remember? The Titans are all cheaters and bullies anyway, like the bully that trapped the Collector in the first place. King is his very own son! Surely it would only be fair to kill him in revenge? The Collector remembers that he did find slaying Titans a lot of fun, but, well, it’s hard to explain, but it just doesn’t feel good anymore. King hasn’t really done anything bad, as far as he knows. If he has, it’s ‘cause Belos ordered him to and he thought his dad wanted to, and Belos is the meanest of all and Collie listens to Eda all the time, so he kinda understands. Everyone nowadays thinks the Titan is a god. But Collie knows they were normal people in their minds and hearts; and they’ve learned they are, too. It’s wrong to hurt people who haven’t done bad things, isn’t it? It’s wrong to kill people even after they’ve done some bad things. He and King are both people and that takes all the fun out of Titan chase. In fact… Bill tries to deflect before he can finish that thought, but they do it anyway.

What… what was the point of Titan chase in the first place? Why did the ancient Titan Trappers come up with it? What did they want the Titans’ power for?

A flashback sequence with his new perspective confirms that they were exploiting him and it all along and doing serious damage to the world around them (the authentic versions of rose-tinted memories of fun and games seen when he first recalled the Trappers). Struggling to process this, the Collector takes the tablets and backs away in revulsion and terror. Bill completely loses his patience and orders the Trappers to capture the Collector. The new plan is for them to hold him by force until they have the Titan blood, whereupon they’ll perform the spell but intercept the flow of magic. Bill himself will absorb the full extent of the magic and, as a god in his own right, restore his civilization to its former glory. And then, well… he won’t need the magic’s helpless, useless last vessel anymore. He omits when he relays the objectives to his people, instead spinning it as them ‘helping’ their confused, misguided god and ‘liberating’ him from their corporeal prison. Eda, hating that’s vindicated, tells her son to run and fends them off.

This is when Luz intervenes, spiriting the Collector to safety. On one hand, she loves her sibling figure and wants to protect them and is logically aware he didn’t understand his actions. On the other hand, her emotional side: “You killed all the Titans? Why did you kill all the Titans?”

Her frantic questioning tips Collie from panic into a full breakdown. He sobs that they lied, he thought it was a game, he thought they were all having fun, but it wasn’t fun, was it? It was never a game. Nothing was ever a game! Not Titan chase, not Eda and Belos’s hide-and-seek; everything’s always been big and real life and death and people getting hurt, and they were too caught up in the fantasy to realize it. And how much else did people lie to them? How many more of his old friends were just using him? They don’t know what’s real and what’s fake. The guilt is crushing like the bottom of the boiling ocean and he hates themselves for being naive and selfish enough to be complicit in atrocities on a scale an adult mind, let alone a child’s, struggles to process. There’ve been so many lies and misunderstandings, he doesn’t know who he is at all. Luz calms herself down and tries to reassure Collie that it matters that he didn’t have bad intentions and it’s going to be okay. It doesn’t do much.

Eda and the Titan Trappers both find them. A battle breaks out with protective big sister Luz, mama Eda, Aunt Lilith and Uncle Hooty fighting in all their in glory. But the Trappers’ numbers and unfamiliar style of magic and weaponry wear them down. During the fight a blast grazes Collie, leaving a small pink burn scar on his right cheek (parallel to the darker blue stars on his left one and King’s left broken horn) symbolic of his mortality and vulnerability and how it’s forced his personal growth. He is sick and tired of being the reason people are hurt. They don’t know who they are, but they know who they aren’t.

He stands up on a rock formation and announce to the Trappers, his sheer presence commanding their attention, “Stop! I’m not the Grand Hunstman anymore! I’m not your god! I didn’t even know what it meant that I was a god! [voice hitching] I was just trying to be your friend… but I didn’t know what that meant either. [hardening] Now I do. And I know more about power than you adults do. I know it’s wrong to kill people because of how they were born and to be even more powerful and call it justice! I don’t deserve your worship and you don’t deserve my power, or my friendship.” They rip off their necklace with their pre-imprisonment colour scheme and throw it at Bill’s feet. “This is over. We’re going home.”

Luz activates the Titan’s finger teleportation mechanism to escape on and Collie uses Luz’s ice and plant glyphs to destroy the finger. Returning to the Owl House, Hooty reveals they at least have the two tablets, which he swallowed while Collie’s speech was drawing everyone’s attention. The utterly exhausted Collie collapses into Eda’s arms. The episode ends on a note of uncertainty and innocence and ignorance, including the audience’s, shattered.

Jesus Christ, that was long. So the Collector’s subplot in Season Two is unpacking and coming to terms with all of that on top of needing to let Luz go. It’s… rough. He also gains a lot of skill in using glyphs, so they can be helpful in battles now having decided they can’t unleash his magic until he can trust themselves with it. He’s a fast learner and actually remembers how the ancient witches would do glyph magic. Those long, baggy sleeves? Full of glyphs.

“Echoes of the Past” follows on from “Hollow Mind” revealing Belos and Hunter’s origins by revealing King’s. I can’t figure out how to integrate King into the overarching plot really, but I know by this episode he’s pretty far down his ‘redemption’/abuser-escaping-and-defying arc that needs to somehow not just be a copy of Hunter’s. And Luz is determined to help him make that final step now she understands even more how despicable Belos and his parenting of both Hunter and King is is, and how urgent it is to defeat him. Collie is invested because a) he empathizes with King due to their similarities, i.e. being manipulated and exploited to enable atrocities for happening to be innately powerful organisms; and b) he desperately wants to atone for that whole genocide he led and helping to ensure the safety and happiness of the last known living Titan seems like a way to do that. Eda, like in canon, finds sending the kids to a distant, apparently safe location they could hide away in very convenient.

Though I don’t have a proper plot for this yet, I know King’s side is that he’s starting to doubt if what Belos says the Titan says is true, in a ‘Belos doesn’t realize it and means well but the connection might be patchy or something’s lost in translation from the Titan language or something’ sense, because apparently his dad doesn’t want him to have his recently developed friendship with Hunter that makes him happier than he’s literally ever been before. So he grudgingly teams up with Luz and the Collector, who are secretly planning to gently ease him into ‘your life is a lie’, to travel to his place of birth from his earliest memories, in the hopes of learning more about his father and species’s nature, culture or language from anything he or other Titans might’ve left behind there. What he gets is Belos and/or the antagonistic Coven Heads we didn’t get much of in canon coming to take him back (ironically weaponizing Titan’s blood tech he helped create), since Belos remembers that island. And thanks to Phillip’s forgotten notes, his very own ‘MY LIFE IS A LIE I AM NOTHING’ breakdown! It’s rough. This is when the false and real backstories for the previously seen broken horn are shown. We and the heroes also see all his scars and learn more of what Belos has put him through, a snippet of which along with Belos privately making it clear he purely cares about King’s power and it’s him, not the Titan, who has “big plans” for him on the Day of Unity, was observed in “Hollow Mind” (parallel to the Collector scene). But Luz and Collie are there for him. King, like Collie did his necklace and Hunter his cloak, discards his horn caps, crown regal robe for good. He keeps the underclothes because he isn’t comfortable with baring his scars yet.

Another big thing that happens in this episode is that the Collector saves the day. He and Luz are out of glyphs, Hooty is incapacitated and even King is too emotionally distraught/in shock to act at a critical moment and gets subjected to a countermeasure Belos of course devised against him. They put their faith in him, and he delivers, putting his knowledge of a really advanced spell into practice with King’s gladly offered battle-spilled blood. In the process actively risking his life. It’s the most simultaneously competent and heroic thing they’ve done so far. We have another ‘oh yeah Collie is a motherfucking GOD older than most existing continents in this world’ moment, only in a good way this time. But like how “Edge of the World” in canon ends on a overall loss, the spell is still unable to free King (to be Titan-proof, a restraint’s basically gotta be anything-proof) and when the villains retreat he’s taken with them.

Collie blames himself for this, and Luz and Hooty getting hurt before he remembered something useful. The episode heightens their already inflamed sense of personal responsibility - which brings them full circle from being all power, no responsibility, just like canon King - by both proving he has the knowledge and experience, and now the will, to make positive change and yet in his current state lacks the wisdom and raw power to always execute that perfectly. Few feelings are worse than knowing exactly what you need to do and how to do it, but just not having the ability to. This leads to their decision to finally unleash all their sealed magic in “King’s Tide”. It… doesn’t work as intended.

- clue au. isaac ran a murder mystery party in his house for his birthday and everyone got fake names and costumes and mr spender died in the hallway. everyone went around trying not to get “killed” by the “murderer” and those who “died” hung out with lisa under the kitchen table eating snacks and doing seances to talk to the dead

- SPIRITSWAP AUS oh my god these were so fun. isabel with forge, max with flipflop, ed with king catnine etc

So I believe I have decided Piandao’s fate for the Avatar!Pakku au (made some alterations to the au so here we go)

WARNING: This contains references/mentions of pro/stitution, r/ape, and death.

In this au, Piandao is the son of footsoldier Masao of the Fire Nation and an earth nation civilian named Citra.

Masao met Citra in the Gaojing Red Light District within the fire colony of the Hu Xin Provinces. Citra was a low-ranking prostitute in the impoverished parts of the district, hence why Masao was able to afford spending the evening with her.

When Citra found out she was pregnant, she couldn’t afford any sort of medicines or proper remedies in order to rid the child. So she had no choice but to go through with it.

When Piandao was born, his mother decided upon caring for him anyways, hoping that maybe if she can work harder, she can care for both her and her child.

Unfortunately, when Piandao was only 5-6 years old, he found his mother brutally assaulted and dead in her room after spending the evening with one customer. He recalled her yelling, but wasn’t aware that it were yells for help.

Following her passing, he became an obedient, silent ghost—wandering around and accepting any sort of small job offered by pitying House owners. Usually as a very minor Wakaimono or male servant. He rarely ever interacts with the courtesans and mainly cleans.

During his time as a servant, Piandao could only earn just enough to feed and shelter himself, hence constantly working hard everyday. He only wore the baggy uniform given to him by his bosses and the rags he had been wearing since he grew out kg a bundle

He never really interacts with other kids since he had mostly seen girls attending to the courtesans and rarely any boys his age. Either way, most kids found him too quiet or shy to talk to.

He could never speak, no matter how hard he tried, though it wasn’t so much of an issue as long as he does his work and earns his pay. There were a few occasions however some adults would complain about his lack of word (He was nonverbal at the time, but didn’t know).

Piandao admired and loved listening and watching the Geishas play/sing their songs as well as other types of performing arts. He finds that it helps motivate him to do work and appreciate the arts more (a small part of him wished to learn something like that).

At the age of 9, Piandao meets a man by the name of Master Eun-U—a highly regarded swordsman. When upon seeing the young boy work, Eun-U asked the owners if he may have the boy.

The owners, of course, were not too easy on handing their servant over to a stranger (as Eun-U was in disguise). But with a nice sum paid to them, the owners happily sold away their servant boy.

Eun-U brings a confused, yet quiet Piandao home to the small town of Nashikami—which close by to the hidden Herbalist Institute. From here on, Eun-U has Piandao work as his helper/assistance—while allowing him to live within his small, yet comfortable home.

The older man also teaches the boy how to read and write in both western Earth Kingdom Dialect and Fire Nation. This is what later on leads to Piandao to speak out loud.

This is remarkably the first time Piandao had ever fitted into cleaner, more fitting clothing while also eating a hot meal with better quality tea on the side. The boy sobs when he realizes this one night during dinner.

Eventually, at some point, Eun-U decides upon teaching Piandao how to swordfight in case of defense and combat—wanting the boy to reach for that unused potential.

Over time, as Piandao stayed with Eun-U—the older man saw Piandao as both a pupil and a son, whereas the boy viewed the swordsman as a father figure.

- this isn't really something I think about, to be honest! i am content to let people discover my fic by turning over rocks and seeing what scuttles

- there was a time where i was toying with reworking my harry potter fic series, but then jkr's transphobia exploded and i took it down so that's kinda out the window lmao. i do still consider putting it back up and just abandoning it but eh. but outside of wanting to update my own personal Lore in fic sometimes, not really no.

- yes. no but in all seriousness, i love it when people point out a specific thing that Got Them, even if they just keysmash over it. (however while i respond as soon as i see a comment i am extremely awkward about it so. sorry about that)

🌈is there a fic that you worked *really fucking hard on* that no one would ever know? maybe a scene/theme you struggled with?

- not? that i can think of?? not in terms of wanting people to know i struggled???? some fics flow easily, some don't, and it's largely irrelevant i think.

- mostly it's just worrying about having spelled something wrong or gotten words switched in my brain, but that's easy fixes.

🌻what makes you want to give up on writing? what makes you keep going?

- nothing really makes me want to give up, i just struggle with motivating myself to get it done. as for what keeps me going..... i am an extremely stubborn and unkillable and annoyingly persistent species of gnat.

- i'm not sure how to put it into words. satisfied may be the closest? "correct" is also a good one maybe.

- this depends entirely on what the fic is about honestly. i can't even narrow it down to just the smut fics, because they all have different purposes. so i guess it comes back to tone, tone, tone.

- the uh. dubcon ones. fully expected to get my head bitten off honestly. i also didn't expect the oviposition one to be so popular but that's on me

- a fic's success ultimately isn't relevant to my emotional well-being; it's nice to get views and kudos and occasional comments(and i will get stupidly excited about all of those) but if it doesn't happen then it doesn't bother me. if the writing itself isn't going well, i close the document and sit on it until either i feel like working on it or feel like shoving it in the abandoned WIP folder.
