hi!!

so i’ve known ab subliminals, manifesting, shifting for a while, but always had minimal success. i was never able to get the ‘big’ things i wanted.

but since being on tumblr, i learnt about STATES. which i had previously known about when i had read the power of awareness by neville goddard. unfortunately, that didn’t last long as i started watching manifesting gurus on youtube and got clouded with information again. (no hate to sammy ingram) But i watched her a lot. and i never got that much movement even tho i was consistent, it would make me feel guilty if i was t affirming enough. and i would beat myself up, saying to myself “if u really want this, u need to affirm more”. i would do the 10k challenge, 10 min stuff, but it was soooo overwhelming. so much stress because i wanted so many things, and i felt like i didn’t have enough time, i had other stuff to do, so even tho i was consistent, i would stress myself out, wondering if i was doing enough, doing it right, etc.

this mindset was toxic, although i didn’t realise it then. i just would get so upset because i trying to hard. which is why it also took me a min to realise.. that i shouldn’t be trying that hard to get something … u either have it or u don’t! so anyways, one or two weeks ago, i came on here because i was done. i wanted my desires. enough. At first i got swayed by the void stuff, which made me put it on a pedestal . which made me angry, i was like bro not this shit again. i don’t wanna waste another months or years. and somehow i stumbled across states. i’ll admit it took me a second to grasp. i re read the power of awareness. and realised it is simple, once i understood it, i deleted tumblr and focused on my life, while occupying my ideal state.

One thing that i’ve been wanting a lot is to travel this year. I travelled last year a bit with my friend and spent 3 months in another country during the summer and it was phenomenal: i wanted this again for 2023. I want to live my life yk.

Well this morning my mum woke me up to tell me we are going on 2 holidays. one next month and one in easter. Athens, Greece and Verona and Venice, Italy.

i was like omg this is amazing ?? we had talked a bit about it and every time we did i was like “yes. we’re going” in my head. and today we booked those holidays.

Now what’s so special about this? Well i made a pinterest board end of 2022 with places i wanna go def this year!! every time i looked at this board i was like “it’s done” [just the way i think ab every desire, because it is done, it’s mine, it literally comes from my consciousness so it’s inseparable to me]

and yeah!! i have 2 other places on this pinterest board but it’s literally the 31st of January 2023 rn and we’ve already booked for 2 of them so that’s a fucking success. i’m so confident more than ever about my power and how the 3D truly is just a reflection of my consciousness/ state i dwell on often!!!!!

i want to thank @0t0mie @lotusmi and @angelsinluv (also to twitter users that explanation states v well and posted motivating content . i don’t rlly use twitter for loa stuff cus my irl friends follow me there but there’s a community over there i would lurk on that encouraged states and helped me understand that the mindless affirming in aim to TRY and get ur manifestation was pointless)

anyways i cannot wait to post more loa success stories. this way of manifesting not only makes so much sense once u grasp it. it literally is so fucking easy and effortless 😩 cannot believe it took me this look to figure it out but honestly its fine. my desires are already mine now. that’s all that matters 😎💪

“WINNER” pops up and y/n jumps around her best friend, Niko, showing him an L. “Ye ye, ur just lucky” he says. Niko has been her friend since childhood, he introduced her to the beta squad, and that's when y/n and Sharky just clicked, and have been dating for 3 years. “3 times in a row is not luck but sure Niko” you reply. “If you're so sure you can beat me, why don't we raise the stakes” you propose while smirking. “How do you suggest we do that?” Niko says interested. “Whoever wins the next game, gets to dare the loser to do whatever they want and you can't say no” “Okay deal” And it starts. Mario Kart was your game, so you were not worried, but somehow Niko kept getting a bullet, and…. HE WON?!? HOW?? You sit there shocked as to what has happened while Niko now mocks you the same way you did before. “I TOLD YOU ITS LUCK” He shouts still showing you an L. You shake your head and sigh “What do you want me to do you bitch?” “No need to be salty y/n, but I do have a dare for you,” He says as he grins, worrying you. “I want you to prank Sharky by ‘breaking up’ with him” “WHAT?? Your psychotic I'm not doing that” “YOU HAVE TO, THAT WAS THE BET” “YOU'RE SUCH A BITCH OMG” you say as you accept defeat. “Do it when you see him next,” Niko says, satisfied with what he's done. 

You were gonna see Sharky right after hanging out with Niko. While you did have your own apartment, you liked staying over with him most days. You rang the bell, ready to do this dumb prank and get it over with. Thoughts raced through your head, the biggest worry being ‘What if he doesn't care and is okay with it’. You shake your head, focusing on the task at hand. Sharky opens the door, smiling as he sees you “Y/n, I missed youuu” he says as he hugs you. You smile but remember what you need to do. You put your hand on his chest, pushing him slightly. “Let's sit down, we need to talk”, Sharky looks at you confused “Is everything okay y/n?” You ignore him and walk and sit on the couch, this is gonna be harder than you thought. 

Sharky sits opposite you, still confused, waiting for you to explain what's happening. “I think we should break up,” you say, trying so hard not to break character. “What.” He said shocked. “Why, what happened, did I do something?” “No no, I just think it'll be better for us, you know help us focus on our own stuff cause we already don't have enough time” you reply, making some reason up “Y/n, if this is about filming, I'll stop to spend time with you, please don't do this” His voice cracking up, as his eyes are tearing up. You want to just hug him, and tell him this is so dumb, but you decide that you need to do a bit more. “It's not you sharks, it's me. Yk with all the girls liking you, I just can't handle it” This wasn't true at all. Yeah, he did get a lot of female attention, but at the end of the day, he was your boyfriend so you didn't care. “Y/n, I will delete all my socials, everything, block every girl trying anything, just please don't leave '' He's sobbing, you couldn't take it anymore. 

You get up, and hug him “I'm not breaking you with you, I love you sharks” “What?” “I'm not breaking up with you, it's just some dumb dare Niko gave me cause of a bet,” You say, stroking Sharky’s hair, calming him down. “Omg you gave me a heart attack, I was so scared” you giggled at this, shaking your head. “I'm not leaving don't worry, I love you” You kiss his head while cuddling him. “I love you too y/n, but dont pull dumb shit like this on me again” “I won't, I won't” you reply “Also Niko is getting a beating the next time we meet” “Let me help you” Both of you giggle before cuddling on the couch and falling asleep.

It’s been months. You haven’t spoken to Mona or Scaramouche at all since you caught them in ‘the act’. Honestly it sent shivers of disgust all over your body.

You walked in the halls of your college- even though you shared the same one with both the people that you used to call ‘friends’ you thankfully havent seen them at all.

Taking out your phone and scrolling through anything to clear your mind of the nuisances that you foolishly allowed to be by your side for years, you bumped shoulders with someone.

“Ah, sorry I should have been looking where I was going” you turn around and say apologetically, not expecting to see the man that has been plaguing your mind for this long.

He turned, glared at you for a few seconds before the glare faltered. Both of your eyes stayed connected and the tug of your heart hurt so bad, but you just took a deep breath, blinked at him with the blankest face you could muster, turned and walked away.

And God, did that feel good- that was until you felt a grab at your shoulder, and you were pulled back slightly.

“(Name)…” His voice whispered out, but you didn’t want to turn. You shrugged his hand off of you, and turned your head slightly, just to get that look on his face and you glared.

“Don’t fucking speak to me. You chose to do what you did, so just do what you always wanted me to do and fuck off.” Then you finally walked away from him- with an aching heart of course, but it was finally a step forward. With every step away from him it felt like you could finally breathe, like you could finally feel the weight of all those years slide off and far away.

Going about your day, it’s only been about an hour or two since bumping into Scaramouche in the hall. You were so happy to have finally let go of such a burden- having finally broken a promise you’ve made to a ‘dead person’ (if ur confused read the prequel thing or just dont idk)

However happiness was cut abruptly when you were faced with the other half of the nuisance, Mona. You were unsure of your standings with her, she seemed to only be your friend when Scaramouche wasn’t in the picture, but she’d also treat you as if you were some gross bug when he was around.

Seeing her stand in front of you so casually as if she hadn’t just ghosted you for some boy made you pissed off.

“(Name)! It’s been so long, how’ve you been?” The casualty in her voice and actions towards you start irritating you. You give her a disgusted look.

“what the hell are you talking about? ‘(Name) it’s been so long, how’ve you been?’ “ You mock her words in an overly high pitched and obnoxious voice.

“You ghosted me Mona. Don’t come skipping back expecting me to be the same (Name) I was months ago- actually scratch that, I’m pretty grateful.” You cross your arms and look her in the eyes with a glare.

“(Name) look I’m sorry-“ You cut her off.

“shut up and let me speak for fucks sake.” You rolled your eyes, not letting her speak over you.

“You went no contact on me, blocked me from literally everything! Kind of glad you did that for me though, with you and your bitch of a boyfriend out of my life for all those months I realized how fake you are!”

When she opened her mouth to speak- or defend herself you just walked away, not wanting to even hear any more of her voice.

one of my fav things to read/write is a f!reader x Simon "Ghost" Riley, where the reader is almost exactly like ghost. I'm talking full black mask, (maybe legally dead) few words, silent, callsign generally spooky like Reaper or Phantom, and I was wondering if you would wanna do that?

Usually I have reader as a childhood friend or adopted sibling of Roach, which is why roach is so comfortable around ghost. He's just used to it. If it's pure fluff or platonic that's completely fine, and if you don't wanna do that it's also fine!! I just thought I might as well shoot my shot :)

when you first met ghost he genuinely thought this was a joke. the balaclava, the whole death motif, your callsign being phantom which is literally synonymous with ghost, even your attitude was so eerily similar to him. it was like looking in a mirror

it didn't help when he tilted his head you mirrored your actions

i think he wouldn't gravitate immediately to you, it's not that he didn't like you he just felt a bit odd with how similar you two were, in all honesty he was probably slightly unnerved by you

soap and gaz definitely crack jokes about you being the second coming of ghost or something dumb like that

whenever anyone is referring to you and ghost and phantom it was always "the ghosts" or "ghost and girl ghost" which pissed you OFF

roach cant count all the times you have ranted to him about how everyone treats ghost like he came up with your whole aesthetic and you copied him when you have been doing this for YEARS before you even met ghost!

"and everyone acts like he invented skeletons and being legally dead! how self centered do you have to be to act like you invented skeleton iconography?! THEYRE SKELETONS. THATS LIKE BASIC HUMAN ANATOMY. and its always men taking the credit- god its so stupid! i did shit this first and how do i know that he isn't copying me huh?? did we ever think of that?? and ghost is such a basic ass fucking name like really. ghost? bet the only reason he wears that mask is to cover up his casper sized forehead."

roach knows that you're annoyed and you probably aren't trying to be super mean- maybe you don't even think ghosts forehead is casper sized! but hey, he isn't trying to argue while you look like you're about to rip someone's head off

instead he opts for calmly signing words of comfort lest you tear ghosts head off (with a few minor corrections)

"yes roach i know phantoms are pretty much the same as ghosts but that's not the point. you're basically my brother. you have to be on my side. that's how it works."

its good you and roach get along with each other. however, since you are just so similar with someone whos name starts with s and ends with imon "ghost" riley he becomes friends with roach quite easily and rants to him too

"she thinks shes so fookin crea'ive but you know wha? she isnt. bet ive been in SAS longer than her. wheres 'er skull tattoo at?? cause i got a whole sleeve done almost a decade ago! she isnt the first to come up wi' this. see, i get youre friends wi' 'er but truth is she di'nt come up wi' all o' this 'erself and she isn't half as dedicated as me. i even got skeleton boxers! she got those??- wait no dont answer tha' i dont wan' tha' image in my head."

for the first month or two whenever you see each other its clear you two do not get along.

roach tried to crack a joke but if anything it just made you hate ghost more

"hey, phantom. what's got two legs and bleeds?" "half a dog." you and ghost respond in unison

the rest of the day you dont even acknowledge each other. price makes a joke about how "you both are acting like you killed someone" which you mutter a small "oh im going to that's for sure" under your breath

safe to say you had a long rant to roach about how now not only is he stealing your whole persona, he's taking your jokes now too

you think roach would be torn between choosing sides but no this man loves every second of it. its so petty- so stupid he just needs to see how long you two idiots will keep butting heads

you mention how you were planning on getting a red mask? he's going up to ghost being like "hey, ghost did i ever tell you red is totally your colour? you know what actually? you should get a red mask!"

you both walk into the next briefing with your new masks and you couldn't be more pissed

to make matters worse you both are teamed up for the next mission. something about stopping a major arms dealer but ghost is the one getting his hands dirty. all you need to do is get into security, guide him through the complex enough for him to grab intel and leave

its simple. you've done it a billion times before, same with ghost. the first half goes fine. you both get in, he grabs the intel and is ready to head out, both of you speaking only when necessary.

minor issue- actually major issue, getting out wasn't as smooth. somehow ghost ended up shot right as he's notifying you that he's almost out. you hear the gunshot ring out, a grunt and scuffling.

"phantom to ghost. how copy."

your voice rings out, an eerie silence following after

"ghost. how copy."

you repeat again, this time earning a response

"m' alive. shot in the leg. bullet went clean through, makin a torniquet as we speak" he grunts back. you have never been happier to hear his stupid manchester accent "keep it that way."

if past you knew those four words directed at ghost would come out of your mouth, you're pretty sure you would've stolen a tank and driven it off a cliff immediately with ghost in it too probably

but now is not the time hotwiring a tank and locating a cliff would take too long anyways, you guide him out, occasionally telling him some stupid fun fact to make sure he's still there or just to keep him alert

"did you know that jellyfish have one hole for their mouth and asshole?" "these get more concerning the more you tell me." "most koalas have chlamydia." "alrigh', 'nuff of that. fun facts are s'pposed to be fun, you know that right?" "learning is fun."

this earns a chuckle from him which he quickly covers up with a cough

he makes it out alive, busted up that's for sure but alive nonetheless

you hook his arm over your shoulder, talking about everything and anything to keep him conscious. he's going to listen anyways so might as well make the most of it

"you're not as bad as i thought you'd be, 'specially for a copy cat." he says after you tell him yet another bizarre animal fact "i got a red mask first by the way" "piss off. this is why i don't compliment you" he rolls his eyes, for once not out of annoyance "i wear it better anyways." "sure, sure. believe what you want, but just know that i'm the cooler one." "you also are shit at making tourniquets" "so you finally admit that i'm cooler." no amount of eyerolling or snappy comebacks can hide your grin at this point. you silently thank your past self for choosing to wear a mask all the time "you're quite bold for someone who got shot in the leg"

once you two get back, practically everyone is surprised how all the deadly glares and colorful insults muttered under heavy sighs between you two have now been replaced with playful banter and empty threats with no murderous intent behind them

price heard you laughing with ghost followed up with you telling ghost "they will never find your body" which did scare the shit out of him but it made ghost laugh so hard he nearly pissed himself

price made sure to check that ghost was in fact alive for the next few days, just to make sure you were joking

when asked about it both of you just shrug and reply "trauma bonding."

roach, although disappointed with the absence of drama is glad to see two of the most special people in his life getting along bros just sad he cant be an instigator anymore

and as soon as ghost comes back from leave, he's got double the scary dog privileges he originally had

Hi, I'm Anna. I'm 19 years old and I live in Boston, Massachusetts. I graduated from high school last year. I used to have three best friends, but now I only keep in touch with Nick, who texts me from time to time. I lost contact with Chris, and I haven't talked to Matt since junior year.

I just want to acknowledge that I am truly grateful for my online friend Madi. She's a 19-year-old living in Los Angeles, and she has always been so supportive of me on social media. Her popularity is undeniable, and I believe it's because of her stunning looks. Her beautiful brown eyes and dark hair are truly captivating. Shes like a ray of sunlight .As soon as she enters a room she fills it with smiles and fun. I genuinely value her unwavering support. My social media journey wouldn't be the same without her.Shes also very close with the triplets since her mom, Laura, is their manager.

It had been a month since I last posted and received numerous requests from my fans for a new YouTube video. I posted a "get ready with me" video that went viral due to its interactive content, involving fans in video decisions.

After I posted it, I got a message from Madi telling me how good I looked and that she had a surprise for me. I was curious, and she wanted to FaceTime me since she wanted to show me the surprise. "SURPRISE!" she says while pulling out a plane ticket to Los Angeles. "OMG MADI, I'M SO EXCITED, WHAT?" I say. "Also, we're gonna be staying at the triplets' house since my mom won't be here for a month. Is that okay with you? You know, because of the Matt thing..." she said, with her smile fading a little. "It's more than okay, Madi. I won't let Matt ruin my trip," I say with a big smile, which also makes Madi smile.

It's the day of my flight and I'm so excited. I packed last night so that's taken care of. I straightened my hair, I have my grey sweatpants on, my fitted T-shirt, and my AirPod Max are around my neck. What am I missing... nothing really. I was terrified of forgetting something. I put my Airforce 1s on and head out the door

Upon getting off from the flight, I spot an overly excited Madi and Nick eagerly waiting for me. I immediately rush over to hug them both. I didn't realize how much I missed Nick until I hugged him, almost tearing up. And Madi didn't let go of me "ur gonna crush her bones Madi"Nick stated while laughing.

Nick helped me bring my baggages into Matts car and Madi and Nick both quickly went to the back seat leaving me and Matt in the front.Madi and Nick have always shipped me and Matt for some reason.They always say that were made for eachother and i dont really pay attention to them because hes so arrogant and rude.Thats one of the reasons i dont talk to him anymore.

I took my place in the front and shot a look back at Nick and Madi that clearly conveyed, "I'm going to kill you." Despite their giggles, Matt maintained a straight face throughout the entire ride. He didn't even acknowledge me, Madi, or Nick with so much as a simple "hello." How can someone be so oblivious?

MATTS POV:

As she approached the car, I couldn't bring myself to say anything to her because we weren't talking. I wondered if I should say something, but I wasn't sure if she wanted me to. Maybe she still hates me. I decided not to say anything. She looked stunning without even trying.

On the way home, she made some silly jokes that almost made me laugh, but she was looking at Nick and Madi, so I don't think she noticed. Thank goodness.

ANNAS POV:

We finally arrived at the boys' house and Nick helped me carry my baggage upstairs to his room because he was the only one who had extra mattresses. I saw Chris and ran to hug him. He gave me the biggest hug ever. I had missed him so much; we always flirted as a joke and we were close. "You've become so beautiful in under a year, peanut." Peanut was a nickname only Chris, Nick and Matt used for me." I swear only you have the power to do that," he said, making me smile. "You're not too shabby yourself Christopher," I say smiling still.

We hang out for a while and then Madi suggests we go to sleep since it is already past midnight. We all agree and go to bed.

It was the crack of dawn, and for some reason, I woke up. I made a cup of coffee and went to the balcony. The view was insanely gorgeous; I was taken aback by how beautiful it was. Before I knew it, it was 7 am. I went back to the kitchen and saw Matt there. I wanted to say hi, but I hesitated. I brought myself to say it. He didn't say it back; instead, he just nodded. "Still not a coffee guy, huh?" I said as he was pouring himself a cup of tea and he finally replied, "Yeah, no." I mean, it wasn't a proper sentence, but I'll take it.

As soon as he finished that tea he went straight into his room again.

It's 9 am at this point and I'm watching my favourite movies one by one. Then Chris comes into the kitchen and grabs a Pepsi from the fridge." Good mornin' Peanut" he says "Good mornin' Christopher" I reply waving my hand in a motion that says come sit down, he comes and sits next to me, grabbing the other side of the blanket and sitting with me. "What are you watching?" he says. "Titanic," I reply. "Your favourite." "I know, that's why I chose it," I say. He continues watching and asks a question, "What date is it today?" "10th of June, why?" I reply. "Isn't your birthday in 5 days?" he says. "Yeah, it is. Crazy that you still remember," I say. "How could I forget?".

Nick and Madi joined us in the living room and Madi asked, "What are we eating today, guys?" We realized no one else could cook except for Matt, and he wasn't coming out of his room anytime soon, so I suggested getting McDonald's, but Nick pointed out that Matt wasn't there to drive. "Guys, I can drive," I said, making Nick and Madi look at me in disbelief."What i took driving lessons and I have my permit now" I shrugged my shoulders as Nick started smiling. Chris went to ask Matt if he wanted anything and we left.

After we returned Chris sent Matt his food in his room and we continued to watch the Titanic.

A while later Chris suggested that we go to a party later ."This party includes Influencers so Anna got invited too" Chris says."I'm down" repeated everyone in the living room and Matt walking up the stairs says "What are we down for ?", "We're going to the party, do you wanna come? " Chris says. I tried to convince myself that I did not care whether he came or not but as soon as he said "Yeah sure" I was happy for some reason.

I tried to convince Madi and Nick that I didn't need to go to a party in fancy clothes and that I could just go with a T-shirt, cargo pants and Conversation but Nick and Madi refused. They search through my suitcase and find a red corset top and a black mini-skirt. MATTS POV:

I heard her coming down the stairs. She looked so gorgeous. I just couldn't keep my eyes off of her. There she goes flirting with my brother, sometimes I won't know whether they are joking or not. I shouldn't feel like this, she is not mine so it is none of my business who she flirts with, but there is a part of me that fires up every time I see her with another guy, especially my brother.I catch myself staring at her for a hot minute.

ANNAS POV:

He looks so good. Matt had been wearing a black slim fit Turtleneck with black pants.I loved all black on him.But wait Anna you dont like Matt, i mean he was attractive but u cant like him. Maybe i do , maybe not , i dont know.I catch myself staring at him for a hot minute

"Alright Love Birds letsgo" Madi says as she looks at me and Matt.Nick and Chris had already gone in the car and i didnt notice???

Chris is already in the front with Matt and Madi,Nick and i are in the back.Nick connects to the aux and we have the best time on the way there.

We arrive and Chris, Madi, Nick and I go to the dance floor immediately while Matt being Matt just sits down.

MATTS POV:

She immediately starts to dance and talk to random girls at the party. Then she started drinking; one drink, then a second drink; then a third drink; then a fourth drink; then on the sixth drink I think she gave up because she was wasted. She kept dancing with random people at the party and one guy was getting all up in her business. Touching her waist, grabbing her arm and when he grabbed her ass that's when I flipped."Leave her alone. Now", "Or what" he said. Or what? Did he seriously tell me that? I grabbed him by the collar and told him "I said Leave". He quickly left and Anna was just looking up at me "Oh so we haven't talked for 3 years and now suddenly you wanna beat someone up for dancing with me??" She said. I felt bad now, not because I almost beat that guy up but for not speaking a word to her for three years."Leave me alone" she said pulling away from me.

I still kept an eye on her to make sure she was alright. She almost fell a couple of times but when she was coming to sit down she fell and I caught her. She sat down and asked me "Did you drink anything", I nodded and she said "Good" pointing at the car keys on my belt.

All of them were drunk, so I had to help them get into the car. Getting out of the car wasn't a problem for them, except for Anna. She was still in the car by the time everyone else had gotten out."Carry me M" I hadn't heard that nickname in a while, since only Anna called me M."You can walk, cmon Peanut" i said while looking at her "No i cant help me"

I carry her bridal style to the living room because she says she wants to sleep there for the night."Can u also take my shoes off" i turn around and go on my knees and unzip her shoes "Thank you M,I love you" she says with the most beautiful smile

I was with hybern for all of like 5 minutes and also here's all of their attack plans and everything you would need to take these guys down.

Hi Pia !! I just saw your retweet about letting authors know when you like their work, and I've been thinking about sending you an ask anyway so hereby I shall do both!!! First of all I want to tell you that I'm currently rereading Game Theory. A friend of mine told me about a fantasy world he created in his head and then let me rant to him about how much I love and adore Fae Tales, which then got me back into rereading it. While rereading, I got the notification that you're editing GT. That's so cool!!! My question for you, if you want to answer, is how does it feel to go back to GT after all this time? Besides the question I just wanted to let you know that I REALLY REALLY REALLY love GT and Fae Tales in general. Thank you so so so much for writing it. Its a huge comfort to me <3 I love you!!

Omg anon it's SO WEIRD

It's like getting into a time capsule.

So first up, I haven't reread Game Theory in its entirety for a few years because I find it kind of painful, a few things are out of character, and I know there's a lot of stuff to change to make it better suited as an original story and introduction to the world, and so when I start rereading it I see all the work I have to do and can't just immerse.

And that's been so annoying on a personal level, because I really believe in writing stuff you love - and for a long time I did!!

Going back to it I've found that:

Baby Pia didn't use the word 'cock' as often as I use it now. Which is kind of cute. I think I was still getting comfortable with writing explicit sex, or...something?

It's still better than I remember it. Like, as a follow on from SAL it's solid. I like the dialogue, and I like the 'feel.' I have no interest in changing that and in many ways I'm trying to remove as little as possible. I'm tightening prose/sentences, and being additive. I do know there's at least one scene I will have to remove (like Gwyn masturbating) because it's OOC and I will try and make that up to people somehow.

I really want more...background in the story. Not infodumps, but like...Gwyn actually fighting a fae driven mad because it was poisoned because of Augus' actions. Or Gwyn talking with his family. Gwyn talking to the trows!!! I'm so excited to add these sorts of scenes, things that are fleshed out and hinted at more in COFT and TIP, that I can make really robust now in GT as well. Things that I think will really strengthen the story, but also make it more captivating, and perhaps also make Gwyn more...understandable as a character. He's an extremely cold character to love if you haven't read SAL first.

I actually kind of get frustrated with how long the chapters are. I remember why I made them so long, and it was because I felt so terribly ashamed of how long the story was! So I 'hid' how long it was by condensing the number of chapters down and putting things that really deserved their own chapters into the same chapter and as a result, wrote shortcuts and really squished things that deserved more time and writing. I'm not angry at past me, I was genuinely frightened that people would hate the story if they saw a really big chapter count. And it's taken me a long time to let go of that. I know some people really like long chapters, and I think when it's appropriate it works so well, especially single sex scenes, but like...oof there are some chapters where it's like 'damn Pia you really were just trying to tell this in less than 45 chapters weren't you.'

While some folks say 'I can see how much you've grown as a writer' there's still some stuff I did better then than now. I think there's something to be said for having a long break there. Although I can also see some of my weaknesses a lot more clearly, because they're things I've like mended since then, or have been actively working on.

It's honestly been pretty fun. It's really important to me to preserve the integrity of the original story, because that's the story that got me here, and it reached people for a reason. Even if I'd write it differently now, I want to keep the basic essence of it the same. Ideally it just feels like reading 'Game Theory with some extra scenes' and all the other stuff blends into the background naturally, and doesn't feel jarring or strange.

It makes me so happy that you love Game Theory! Honestly it's folks like yourself letting me know things like this, and letting me know that you'd love to have it as a book one day, which has kept this as a dream in my head for a decade, and while I may be the world's slowest editor, the fact that this could actually come to fruition in 2024 is wild to me. Apparently it just takes me a really long time to commit to something lmao

Hiiii new mutual Star <3 It's nice to hear from you, even though Hua is a menace and is terrorizing us <3 <3 I'll have you know I was at orchestra rehearsal and was unable to defend myself from their vicious attack, this was all very rude of them lol

But yeah tgcf omg.... I have so many thoughts about it tbh. For reference, I'm currently 6 volumes in (7 is in my possession, just waiting on my roommate to finish it first. If I read past him he'll get sad) and have watched all of the donghua so far and it's like. There are few things that I have felt more like the Target Audience for. My roommate clocked me for this, so this entire thing is his fault and now I've read 6 entire not-insubstantial novels in half a year.

To get the obvious part out of the way, I adore hualian, and out of all of my ships I think they're the closest I've ever gotten to loving both characters in it equally. Like in xiaoven I have a bias for Venti and in xingyun I have a bias for Chongyun, but with hualian I really and truly struggle to pick a favorite. If I had to choose, Xie Lian would probably win out just barely over Hua Cheng, but probably only because we're in his head for the books and thus get to experience his silly thoughts and awful trauma firsthand. However, they are rightfully a set, do not separate in my mind.

I do have a favorite character outside of the main pairing though and that character is Shi Qingxuan and I love her so so so so much it's not even funny. My roommate didn't predict this even though Qingxuan and Venti are so incredibly same guy, it's like. Of course I, renowned Venti enjoyer amongst my compatriots, was going to love the character who's the master of the wind, is a bit silly goofy, enjoys their drink, and also has a cool Gender going on. I have, however, been cursed (blessed) by my roommate's takes about her that don't seem very fandom mainstream, so I am just going to be content rotating her in my brain endlessly. She is in the microwave. Also, it's been an absolute treat watching her in s2 of the donghua, she is everything to me.

The last thing I'll add for my bare minimum thoughts about this series is that I do actually like it for very similar reasons that I like Genshin Impact. In Genshin, I've always been very fond of the immortal characters because I love the way that the writers at mhy explore the humanity of inhuman characters. The Gods and Dragons and Adepti and God-made Puppets and otherwise in Genshin aren't human, but the struggles that they face are incredibly human, whether living like and alongside humanity is one of their goals or not.

Tgcf, with its humans (exceptional humans, but still humans) that ascend to godhood, is much the same to me. Most of the Upper Court officials are completely detached from humanity much of the time, but their struggles and their vices are completely and totally human. Xie Lian is the most interesting of them all to me, since he's used his godhood to live the human life that he was never allowed when he was actually human, and I could go on an entire rant about that but I'll spare you the details. Every character in the series is so interesting in the way that their human problems have been left to grow and fester over the course of the centuries, and it's both awful and enthralling to watch.

Title: Summer Love

Madrid was far from Germany but they say home is where the heart is , and Jude’s home has been nestled in the chestnut haired boy , with kind eyes and a soft smile since the moment they first met each other at a youth camp . It was a camp for 23 year olds and under , naturally Jude was the youngest there .

Salt air, and the rust on your door ,

I never needed anything more

Everyone else might’ve been intimidating but Fede treated Jude as an equal , no envy only appreciation for the boy with lean arms and legs but heaps of potential and confidence.

 They were like 2 sides of a coin . Fede , already developing muscles ; fast , strong and relentless ,if a little lacking in belief and confidence.  Jude, the up and coming talent with a million eyes on him, yet , cool and collected . His scrawny back all but embroidered for that kind of attention , to carry the weight at ease , to bear it with pleasure. It was only natural in the sea of men , they found each other.

But I can see us lost in the memory,

August slipped away into a moment in time

They exchanged numbers and promised to keep in contact .The first few weeks of conversation were a little stilted but then, it was like something clicked. They took to each other like ducks to water. Same sense of humor , same goals and the same work ethic. They grew very close. 

At some point , thoughts went from , “I can't wait to play with him” to “I can’t wait to visit him” to 

“i wonder what it feels like to hold his hand or to touch his fluffy hair ”

Remember when I pulled up and said, "Get in the car"

And then canceled my plans just in case you'd call?

Over the years, the boys had become exceedingly close. 

And then one day Jude’s fantasies actually manifested . Fede surprised Jude on his 19th birthday . Lost in the busy schedule , this was the first time they met in months. It had been coming for quite some time , both boys craving the others’ touch like they needed air to breathe. They roamed the roads of Germany , went to a carnival ( the ones Jude loved) and then finally stopped at a lake to enjoy a quiet moment . The stars were sparkling white in this part of town but in front of Jude , Fede wouldn't even look at the Kohinoor if it was placed in front of him. 

Jude gazed at the sky and Fede peered at Jude , they were much the same . Then , as the night sky bled from blue to black , they caught each other's' eye. Jude felt Fede's lips softly land on his , timid but so passionate . So full of love . Fede held the back of his head , afraid to break the moment , afraid that everything would change for the worse.

And I can see us twisted in bedsheets

August slipped away like a bottle of wine

They retreated home and ended the day by cuddling in bed . As home as Germany had started to feel in the last 3 years for Jude , his heart never felt as at peace as it did with Fede . When Fede was around , there was a haze around them , something sacred , something only they existed in . When the time came for Fede to leave , Jude kissed him goodbye . Unbeknownst to them , this would bring a pivotal change in their friendship and be the onset of their love.

Gilbert vs. Fenrir vs. Kicho

After seeing how Gilbert, Fenrir and Kicho were all put on the same Ikemen All-stars team this year, I'm just imagining Gil and Fenrir getting into a shoot-out and my god it's epic.

Like just the mental image of Gil twirling his cane to deflect bullets lmfaoooo

Fen's out here dodging Gil's bullets like sonic the hedgehog, jumping and rolling off floors, columns, walls, the frickn ceiling😭

At one point they end up with each other's guns, which is my excuse to see Gil double-wielding

Then Kicho shows up and we're not sure whose side he's on even though we're also sure that he's 10000% Team Kicho. The confusion comes from him stepping in to seemingly save Fenrir by firing a bullet that misses Gilbert by a half of a half of a half of a half of a centimeter. Fenrir, whose sitting point-blank to the gun pointed at him, takes the opportunity to roll off the side of the raised platform they're on and kick Gilbert's gun out of his hand in the process.

The gun lands in Kicho's possession. He looks at it with a completely bored expression. Then he smiles ever so faintly and aims Gilbert's gun at Fenrir's head.

Fenrir is still recovering from being kicked in the guts by Gilbert's Kick of Death. When Kicho points the gun at him, Fenrir sighs and mutters "Give me break, man."

Gilbert laughs and sits down on the edge of the platform and begins massaging salve against his throat where Kicho's bullet grazed him. He gazes down at Kicho. "I'd admire your gall for going after my prey. If it wasn't completely theatrical and contrived. Hehe, well... that has its entertainment too, I suppose."

Kicho pulls the trigger and Fenrir falls back dead. Except Fenrir isn't dead. It would turn out that Kicho and Fen had worked out a deal beforehand for Kicho to pretend to kill Fen so that Fen could use the opportunity to sneak off and enter Gilbert's castle to rescue Alice and Mai. While Kicho distracts Gilbert with Epic Gun Fight Part 2.

Epic Gun Fight Part 2 sees Gilbert dodging extensively and freakishly for the first half since Kicho is operating both Gilbert's gun and his own. Gilbert's gun only has about 2 bullets left, but that's still 2 extra bullets. It's only when Gilbert ambushes Kicho in the shadow of an archway, using his cane to make Kicho drop the gun, that he's able to get the gun back.

Or so he thinks, because Kicho power-kicks it mid-fall into an open grate, and in the same motion pivots so that the tip of his gun is flush against Gilbert's forehead.

Gilbert smiles, as radiant as a summer day. "This has been fun, but I'm sure your friend's found what he's looking for by now." Proving that, of course, he knew what Kicho and Fenrir were up to.

Kicho lowers the gun. "You know that's not why I'm here." He takes something out of his pocket and holds it out for Gilbert.

Gilbert stares at it, his expression blank and lightless. "I see. Get close enough to kill me, then spare me, then exploit that mercy for a favor." He looks back at Kicho and smiles. "Just like I would have done."

Meanwhile inside the castle Fenrir bursts into the dining room... and discovers Emma, Mai and Alice having a tea party and discussing which of their men would win in a gun-fight.

"And that's how Kicho gets a free favor from Gilbert," Mai says as if commenting on the weather. "It's so cheesy and cliche, and hardly how I would go about it, but I love how he analyzes his opponents and uses their own game against them."

Emma giggles. "Well now I want to know how you'd go about it."

Alice puts her teacup down. "Careful, Emma. That almost sounds like you're challenging Mai to a gunfight."

Mai smirks. "I'd be disappointed if she wasn't."

Fenrir stares at the trio. "Wait, so you weren't in any danger?"

some headcanons for my kids (+ I’m basically just channeling my own family/friends/myself onto them <3)

They all have ethnic names period even if theyre not listed in the movie, they have them. (most of the time growing up asian american you will 100% have a name given to u by ur parents/family member/close family friend/grandparents, the only bad that comes out of that is only members of ur family use the name and are the only ones who can pronounce it most of the time and when it comes to papers u sign, u dont rlly include ur asian name bc its like a middle name and isint always necessarily which is p shit, we are given such American first names because they’re easy to pronounce when coming over :/)

Yale has a tradition of inviting flying friends over to his place for New Years for a Korean celebration and makes a seaweed soup thats always eaten for the new year! (something my own family does)

Yale taught Harvard Korean and always has Harvard tag along on Korean trips to visit family! They love Harvard and Harvard loves the food lolol!!! and them ofc!!!

Halo met Fritz first and they stuck together like glue being two of the few asians, when they met Yale they made their own little friend group (i think other pocs can relate, when being in a place where there are ppl who make u feel alienated, finding people who are the same as u is comfortable and its easier to relate to each other, at least in my experience)

Hello! Hi—yes, I so rarely use tumblr but figured that I should have one, just for the shits and gigs most of all, lmao. I feel like a grandma: I don’t know how to use it at all. But it’s fun! It’s kind of like chatting to ppl in the comments section, but in a less formal (???) situation.

Firstly, thank you so much for such a lovely message. You are so kind, omg. It’s difficult, sometimes, to actually take in praise about your own work—I look up to other authors so so much, and feel like a fangirl so much, that it’s so foreign for me to accept that kind of admiration from someone else. It’s especially cool of you to mention the feeling-feelings thing, though, [I was told I was good at writing feelings; my writing was emotive] since that’s something I properly feel I’m not great at sometimes!! The amount of times I have to remind myself to ‘show not tell’, or feel like I’m doing too much ‘telling’… genuinely, when I edit my chapters, half of it is just reworking or straight deleting paragraphs and paragraphs of Hebi-being-emo-soliloquies. If you think there are a lot of them now, in the stuff I’ve actually posted, just trust me: you should see my first drafts.

I am fist-pumping reading that I got you to finish ‘One Day’ [self-explanatory]. Writing intrinsic warmth has just been one long con, just to convince people to read more David Nicholls. When I finally finish IW (gah!!!), I plan on leaving a list of book recommendations, those I’ve read that give me the same emotions that ‘One Day’ did; the emotions I’ve tried to capture in IW. It’s my favourite niche genre of fiction, lmao: Books About Intimate Love (Usually Between Just Two People) That Feel Bittersweet And Also Happen To Be About Time And So Also Feel Nostalgic.

I’ve been thinking about your advice question for a while now. [Asked for writing advice; how to write emotively/depict emotions accurately] Truthfully, I have no bloody clue—in my head, I’m just like, eh, that kinda feels good. What suits the vibe? That suits the vibe. No, no, that *doesn’t* suit the vibe. And etcetera.

There’s a few bog-standard, general tips that I always subscribe to, that I’ve picked up along my way and would be happy to explain in greater detail if that’s wanted; always use ‘says/said’ unless you really have to use something else; never use adjectives instead of someone’s name (e.g. “the brunette looked away” vs. “Susan looked away”); avoid clichés like the plague (explained well in the YouTube video, ‘How to Bore Your Audience’ by The Closer Look); use the Emotion Thesaurus for everything. All the time. It is the writer’s Bible.

Honestly, other than those tips (which are more pragmatic than anything), the only thing I can say is to *practise*. Yes, yes, it’s the wankiest thing in the world to say, and yes, it’s been said twenty million times before, but there’s a reason for that! Just write. And then write some more. Which is why yes, you have to start writing!! [was told @/lemonsbesour was thinking of writing because of IW] Please do. Oh my goodness. I didn’t write for years and years and years until Covid time, really, when (no lie) I watched atla for the first time and subsequently wrote about 40k words of a Zuko x reader. Yes, I look back and wince at its quality, but that’s the point!! Writing is the same as any skill, and you only get better at it when you do it again and again and again. But please write. That would be so cool.
