Story:

Heralding from an ancient noble family from Khaenri'ah rumoring to dabble in ancient Alchemy, he had a prosperous and loving upbringing. Being heavily coddled as the only son and successor to his family's throne and prevailing highly intelligent, he studied under the best tutor his family could buy. Unfortunately for them, he was quick to bore and grew restless as he matured. Nobody suspected that he would cause death and destruction to his family, though one thing always struck his tutor as odd- Amanita always spoke about how he was "Becoming insane."

When the wind is blowing: I hope the mushrooms I spread aren't getting destroyed.

Mushrooms are positively fascinating. There are so many different variants. Some you can eat; others will kill you. Those are my favorite. Did you know there are even ones that can take control of your body like a parasite? Mmm, how delightful~! Just thinking about it fills me with fervor~

About Amanita: Family

My family? I haven't had a single thought about them until you brought it up. You see, I was the one who destroyed them. They we just too dreary for my liking and I needed excitement in my life.

About Us: What's that? Your brother/sister? Of course, I know him/her, Khaenri'ah is my home region after all, but you better think again if you think I will tell you about it. Isn't that the point of this game joyful game of cat and mouse~?

About the Vision: This thing? Oh, hahaha~ I'm still surprised I was even bestowed on. It always gives me a warm tingling when I use it, isn't that simply divine~?

Something to share: You see these two mushrooms? They look almost identical, but one you can eat. This one? Will get you very si- or maybe it was this one. Hmmm. . .

Interesting things: I'm immune to most poisons. I've trained myself to go through the worst of them. I quite enjoy the feelings I get when I ingest one I shouldn't~

About Scaramouche: Ugh. I hate this guy. That's it. I just hate him. No. I refuse to talk about him so stop asking.

About Dottore: What a delightful fellow. I quite enjoy watching his experiments squirm. It's very gratifying. Occasionally he'll let me help him and allow me to participate in his expirements.

IT'S FINALLY OVER! To the surprise of no one, Yugi is made Champion of the MULTICOLOR HAIR SWAG TOURNAMENT. Truly, he is peerless when it comes to having multicolored hair, with his tricolor, gravity-defying spiky hair. Can you even think of a character that could stand up to him?

After him, the beloved Marina landed 2nd place!

In 3rd place, we have Amanita Caplan! Her supporters may not have been the most vocal, but nevertheless she had a very impressive run.

In 4th place we have Amanda O'Neill! She managed to get this far thanks to her fans' overwhelming support! She also beat Diana Cavendish in the bonus match.

Thank you for following me along this ride (and also thanks for hopelessly biasing polls to my will, my psionic warriors.) It took a while but it was fun.

I don't know what I will do next. I don't think there's a point in a losers' bracket (it would be very anticlimactic) and I don't really feel like making a season 2 of this particular topic. A YuGiOh only bracket had been suggested, but I don't feel like making it bc I know jack shit about YuGiOh and in all honesty? Yugi would probably win anyway.

Perhaps I will retool this blog eventually and make a different tournament... after I'm done rating shoes at @funky-shoe-battle.

yes he does!! he's got 2 pillar relationships that rly defined his life

the first one is his mentor and adoptive father, harrud clawhelm, who is a dwarf artificer. he used to be an adventurer but he's retired now, running his shop as a senior guild artisan. he was the one who found lorame in a cave, bleeding out after escaping the underdark, and took him in. he raised lorame and p much taught him everything he knew!! very nice old man who comes across stoic and gruff but actually super caring

lorame left him and the lil hamlet when he started going out to find his place in the world. he still visits from time to time

the second one is ilya amanita, tiefling druid, his fellow guild artisan, his business partner, his best friend. life partner. half his soul. beloved. (he's also my bestie's oc.) they met at a festival where they're both struggling to sell their wares due to Racism in Faerûn (ilya a tiefling, lorame a half-drow) and bonded immediately. they travel together as artisans and sell their stuff as a team. they know each other's deepest trauma and darkest fears and they are so insanely sweet together most ppl assume they are a couple. and they might as well have been!

in bg3 they both end up in the polycule with halsin and astarion lmao

bonus another relationship that was huge for lorame was with his extremely abusive drow mother but he doesn't let it define him anymore so i'm not putting it here

(sorry it took so long btw i wrote all this down and tumblr ate my draft and i got so frustrated i couldn't get back to it in a while skdjsk)

The Sheridan Tapes episode 93

Hmmm I'm still trying to figure out all of the timey whimey things happening, especially after Amanita's additional lore dump

Why is saving Anna necessary to stop Morrison? Amanita says they have to fix time that has been messed up since long before the whole story started. Are those the causal loops Sam Amy and Anna later need to close/fix? The tree planting? The random encounters that are explained later? Why will closing them harm Morrison?

Also why does Morrison only want them or of the city and not kill them? I still don't get it. Maybe it's because he knows the only way to preserve his power is to allow Sam to close the time loops that helped him get there? Does he know about those?

Lara is acting a lot like a Main Character in this episode, Amanita is right about that. "My fight"? Come on that makes no sense. Also thinking she's self sufficient and Needs no one when she tries on a whole society for her supplies... Free will is an important thing to fight for but you gotta take it within the context of a bigger picture

Love Sam coming to the defense of a guilty ridden Ned. It really shows how much their bond developed.

fun mushroom fact! amanita muscaria is ectomycorrhizal, meaning its hyphae associate with the roots of trees to facilitate nutrient exchange. this particular mushroom was growing under a rather lovely hornbeam tree, so the two are most likely connected.
