Not gonna lie the first thing that comes to mind with the two of them is that moment ages ago when the HoloNine Among Us collab happened, where Nene and Polka were accosting Ame into convincing her to vote for the other person, and Polka going "AME. WE ARE BLONDES" before instantly realizing they're all blonde. Also her literally going "It's elementary, Watson" to her. Actual comedy

And also that clip where Polka witnesses Gura killing Ame in Minecraft to reset her health and her going "lol the love is intense"

They're cute! Ame really does go with anyone; her more sweet nature towards JP members makes for really sweet dynamics

Leaning on my own headcanons here since I don't know the specifics of your WIP, but I can imagine Amelia visiting Polka's circus to investigate there for reasons - or just visiting to take a break from her work - and meeting Polka for the first time, where they chat for a while before one of them goes "Damn. I'm falling in love with a clown" (no, I'm not telling you which one thinks it first) and funny teetee ensues. Polka probably gives Ame free coupons and tickets for her shows; Ame accepts them gleefully but also mostly just keeps coming back for Polka

APH Rare Pair Week 2019

Day 5 Prompt - Myths and Legends/Free Day

Poland was already chattering excitedly as soon as he came through the door, something about a dragon myth of his. America laughed, nodding along. He gestured to his couch and offered him some tea, which he accepted gratefully. The younger nation sat next to him and smiled brightly. He enjoyed these visits immensely.

Zoning out, America only focused on the sound of his voice, not the words. It was sad, not many people realized what kind of person Poland really was. He had been through so much in his life, so much violence, yet he pressed on with a smile. He had a mask like America did. He hid behind a false reality. Did he want to be mortal as much as he did? Lead a normal life?

Poland's lips were moving faster and faster as he got more excited, clutching America's arm. He barely felt it under all the nerves he was feeling. Was he smiling because of him? If he caused that, it made him feel good. He deserved to be happy after everything he'd gone through, really. He wouldn't be able to be so cheerful if he had gone through the same.

America glanced over at his storage closet, guilt hitting him. He was a hoarder and he knew it. The past was something he couldn't let go of no matter how hard he tried. Did Poland feel the same way? He sighed. He would try and clean out the closet soon. His gaze fell back on his friend.

He was pretty. That word usually described girls, but Poland was pretty. America would be lying if he said he wasn't attracted to him and his beautiful eyes and stupid hair and adorable pout he did when he was annoyed. It made sense in a way. After all, they'd been friends for a very long time.

Poland stopped telling his story and asked America a question he couldn't hear. He raised as eyebrow as America got closer to his face until their lips met in an awkward kiss. Poland's eyes flew wide open in surprise.

Shit.

America jerked away like he'd been burned, stuttering apologies and excuses. Poland's mouth hung agape, a light blush spreading up to his ears. He covered his face and whined in embarrassment. He finally looked up and clumsily tugged him over by the hair to kiss him again, no doubt bruising their lips. He really was more than what meets the eye.

Feliks is wrestling with the lid of his Tupperware lunchbox when Alfred catches hold of his hand and turns it over to examine the black ring on his middle finger.

“Wow,” he says. “I like your ring. It’s very goth.”

Feliks withdraws his hand, slightly embarrassed. “Thanks. It’s, uh, actually a thing I wear to show I’m asexual.”

Alfred looks up at him from across the cafeteria table, his cheeks bulging with a mouthful of sandwich. “What’s that mean?”

“It means that, like, I don’t feel sexually attracted to anyone. I’m also aromantic, so I don’t want to have romantic relationships, either.”

“So you can’t love anyone?”Alfred shakes his head slowly. “Dude, that’s so sad.”

“No, no, I can love people. Just not in a romantic or sexual way.” Upon seeing Alfred’s bewildered expression, he pushes his lunch aside and leans forward, ready to explain. “There are more ways to love people than just physical attraction. I mean, you love your mom, right, but you don’t want to have a romantic relationship with her.”

His face crumples in disgust. “Ew, no way, she’s my mom.”

“Exactly. But you still love her, don’t you?”

“Yeah, of course!”

“See? You don’t have to be in love with someone to love them. I love my parents, I love my family, I love my friends. I love lots of people platonically. I’m just not interested in romance or sex.”

“Oh, okay.” Alfred shrugs and glances down, takes another bite of sandwich. “I don’t really get it, but you do you, bro.”

Feliks grins. “Thanks, Al.”

They’re silent for a while as they eat. Alfred is clearly deep in thought. When the bell rings for the end of lunch hour and they both stand to leave, he catches hold of Feliks’ elbow. “Hey, Feliks?”

“Hm?” He shoulders his backpack and turns to face him.

“With this whole…asexual, aromantic thing - you’re happy, right?”

Feliks smiles. “Yes, Alfred.” He pats his shoulder gently, then steps away to begin navigating the crowd to his next class. “Don’t worry. I’m very happy with the love I can give.”
