Nino Couffaine AU

So this is a crack AU where instead of having a twin brother, Nino is the adopted bro of Juleka. It’s based on the “Nino is Luka” meme. Hope you enjoy

Luka was never born in this timeline. Instead, when Juleka was a baby, Anarka Couffaine adopted Nino Lahiffe after his mother’s death from childbirth. She had been good friends with Miss Lahiffe, and decided to honor her by raising the child as her own.

Things are much different for Juleka and Nino. While the two love each other, they can argue about things more than Luka did.

Juleka has a little more inner-confidence in herself, due to her brother’s enthusiastic personality. On the other hand, Nino’s a little more chill, due to his sister’s shyness.

Nino has more appreciation for gothic culture, and listens to emo tunes, not because he’s sad, but because he loves the melodies. He’s also more of a cyber goth.

Jagged decides to stay as a father, for the sake of Nino’s deceased biological mom, and from encouragement from Anarka. Because of this, his career is less active, and Juleka is more of an outward rocker.

Anarka still acts like a pirate, but only at her job as a children’s entertainer.

As a black kid raised by a white family, Nino has some insecurities about his identity, and hates it when people assume he isn’t Juleka’s sister. It’s thanks to the encouragement of both his family and friends that while the system is inherently against him, what matters at all is that he matters just as much as anyone else, and that they are his friends and family, no matter what.

Hmm, let's go with the sad bitches, the Ravens of Sorrow

We start as always with the first, Nathaniel Kurtzberg as Achlys(I will update this with his updated design later). His powers in Miraculous AU fall to the lesser power of sorrow inducement and a greater power that allows him to become incorporeal, ghost like. As such he cannot be harmed in this state, but cannot harm others. He also can use this on other people.

Activation Phrases

Transformation: "Corbin, Nevermore"

Lesser Power: Sorrow

Greater Power: Fade

Now we have Anarka Couffaine as Sorrowful in Salvation. She is restricted to sorrow inducement as her one power. Since she will not be an avatar, that is her only power.

Activation Phrases

Transformation: "Corbin, Nevermore"

Power: Sorrow

And now we have Luka Couffaine as Nevermore in Separate Worlds. His passive is a sadness aura akin to what Blue Diamond is often seen using. His main power is the same as Achlys. Makes it easier to slip out whenever he pleases.

Transformation: "Corbin, Nevermore"

Power: None/Innate

Adrien becomes Scourge in Siren's Song. A revote was cast and the new power this boy has in sorrow inducement through song.

Class of Villainy - Anarka

Captain Anarka Couffaine

One of the greatest and most ruthless pirates of all time. Sort of a mix between Captain Hook and Jack Sparrow. Treats her crewmates with love and care.

Reshma is her first mate, though at this point, Reshma’s getting the job done a lot more than her Captain.

The mother of Juleka and Luka. A bit sad that neither of them wanted to be pirates, but happy to see them causing havoc and being evil in their own ways. Embarasses them frequently, calling them “her little pirates” and sharing info to their friends about how they acted as little kids.

The Couffaines live in Anarka’s huge ship that she uses for pirating. Once Juleka became a teenager, she convinced her mom to let her move out. She turned the abandoned castle that was right next to the ship into an villainous castle, but still visits her mom as a neighbor every now and again.

Anarka’s husband was Jagged Stone, a rock and roll star and fairy who’s music spreads love and harmony to all that hear it. When the twins were born, he begged Anarka to give up her evil ways and to join him in making sure that their children would go down the path of good. She refused, and threw him off the ship. They seperated, and the Couffaine Twins couldn’t be any happier. Anarka just taught them how to be pirates, but Juleka and Luka decided to become malevolent and villainous of their own decision.

Salvation, Anarka Couffaine

We come to the final of the mom group. I started with Audrey (Rooster) and Tomoe (now Ant) to Sabine (Koala) and now Anarka (Raven). Nathalie (Spider) too if y'all count her and I will be.

The idea of sorrow came with the episode Migration when we got a snippet of Anarka's heart song and remorse and regret she holds with a longing of true freedom. As such, Anarka, and Jagged Stone as well, have had their history rewritten, fleshed out.

I really look forward to putting this version of the Couffaine family on full display.
