I see u sometimes reblog stranger things stuff, was wondering if you can share some opinions on it? Any strong opinions on the mileven vs byler war
Lol I knew somehow when I put on my Stranger Things sweatshirt today that I would get this ask lol. Super fun question, thanks for asking! I love talking about any of my other fandoms. I've been pretty involved in the Stranger Things fandom from the jump, I liveblog every new season which you guys do not have to worry about for a while but you can totally backread my ST tags (melissa liveblogs st and melissa on stranger things) for my content or feel free to blacklist if you don't want to see it. I was also active in a few discords for Stranger Things and It, so if you were in any of those you might've seen me around. Met some great people, a few of which are still active on here @sorenserotonin and @milfnightshade loyal mutuals 🫡 who I always appreciate. I'll tag them in case they feel like returning to discussing Stranger Things with me like old times lol.
As for byler and mileven, I don't have super strong opinions. The two mutuals I tagged are both byler shippers (actually I forget if Deidre is, I'm pretty sure). EDIT: DEIDRE IS NOT! I personally have always been into mileven, they were the heart of the first season to me in a way that's really unmatched. The following seasons they have had their really moving moments, particularly for me the third season, but never the same spark as that first season. I do think they are endgame though, because that's just the path the show is on. I don't think the narrative makes sense without them, and wether that is effective writing is a whole separate post. That being said, I will always always never have beef with an lgbtq ship in any fandom, unless it's with a very unhealthy character and I think the ship is straight up abusive. Fandom is a largely queer space because we create the content we lack. That's important and should be respected regardless of ship wars (and I'm a person that gets into those lol). I have a dear friend who will ship anything as long as it's two women, even if they never interacted. I've never understood this. I want the writing to be strong and the relationship to be healthy. But I understand why she feels the way she feels and I'd never judge her, that's what fandom is for.
Some other Stranger Things opinions; I think the writing really has suffered since the first season. It is still a great show, but they struggle with consistency in their characters which is a huge issue for me. They also cave to fandom, which is another huge pet peeve of mine.
I also think Billy Hargrove is one of the most damaging popular characters in a long time, in terms of fandom and the impact on culture. I might just be biased however, I'm on some Billy fans blocklists.
This season was the best one by far since the first. I know that's a hot take, but I think it's true.
Max and Lucas were the only characters who were effectively developed and utilized this past season, which was a breath of fresh air for them to not waste Caleb McLaughlin again.
I do not like Jonathan Byers, but that being said the time for stancy has long come and gone and returning to it is insane.
Oh, final take, we've been giving the Duffers far too much credit for Robin as a character when a lot of it should go to fav nepotism baby Maya Hawke.

Anonymous said:I dunno why you are looking down on Bellarke shippers? This fandom has done so much for the show and we got shat on constantly around 2016 on and off screen other fandoms were being spoiled non stop. I used to like your meta and I used to follow you here, but I just don't see Bellarke on screen anymore. And I don't like you acting like you are superior. This ship has TOO many interpretations. People have the right to be done. Stop acting like Bellarkes who don't see Bellarke now are stupid.
I don’t really know what you mean about saying fandom has done so much for the show? Do you mean the fandom games? Getting tags going and such? Do you mean the contests where people cheat to get their ship to win? If effort is what is important, then why do you dismiss the effort that the cast and crew have put into this show to give it to you? Why are you so ungrateful? And how are you shat on? You mean... FOR HARASSMENT?  You should not be harassing people. You deserve to be shat upon for that.
For loving a ship? No. But it’s entirely possible to love a ship to be a shipper and to NOT force your opinions on other people or demand they give you what you want. That’s not shipping. That’s BULLYING. Loving a ship is not declaring war. Love your ship. Ship your ship. Ship and let ship. Do NOT send nasty anons. (ahem.)
As for thinking bellarke is dead, you have the right to have whatever opinion you want.
That doesn’t mean your opinion is correct. Keep it on your blog, like I keep mine on my blog. Literally don’t even reblog anyone else’s meta anymore. Just share my thoughts right here. On my blog which you are free to unfollow, blacklist or scroll past.
There isnt’ any evidence for bellarke being dead in the text. Bellarke is 100% alive and is, in fact, the central plot now.
I base my theories on canon, not gossip. Most of the evidence for Bellarke being dead is gossip, hearsay, social media, and the theory that anyone who uses evidence from the text to support Bellarke is “delusional.” That is literally not what delusional means.
You can have a billion trillion feelings about the 100, bellarke JR, and me, and they simply don’t affect me because they do not seem to be based in the reality that I exist in. Not the show. Not my life. Not logic.
Acting like I’m superior.
Because I don’t like people harassing others.
That’s not the meaning of superior. That’s the meaning of the word MORAL. And why are you supporting internet harassment? What is wrong with you?
Do I believe my interpretation over yours? YES I DO. And I have evidence to back my interpretation up. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have that interpretation. I think my interpretation is better. Oh well. HEre’s a million words of meta to back it up. Yours doesn’t have evidence in canon. I’m trusting my education and experience as a life long geek, english major, english TEACHER, and professional writer that I know how to analyze a freaking story.
If you want me to think I am wrong because you don’t agree with me you’re gonna have to give me more reasons that the blorke antis have given me, because none of their evidence holds water. I’ve been listening. I need CANON evidence, from the show, logic, lit or film analysis, storytelling or any other ACTUAL way to understand content other than “but he said something online.”
What the antis are giving me as evidence is mostly egocentrism driven by fanon and the belief that fans have the right to dictate the story, instead of being consumers of the story.  So no. Your interpretation is not better than or equal to mine. If you have a problem with that learn how to prove your case better. It’s not my fault that your reasoning doesn’t convince me. Do better. Believe me if you guys had good ideas I’d be with you. I dump shows easily. (TWD who? Arrow where? GOT don’t get me started.) But you don’t. You’re ignoring the story on screen because it doesn’t fit your idea of what Bellarke should be and you’re mad about the freaking love triangle because you dont’ like Echo. And you’re having LOTS of tantrums about it.
I’m an artist and writer, and I respect creators too much to treat them like servants who should do our bidding
And you are, my dear, a coward on anon who is blocked.

Are you going to translate kagerou daze last chapter? I can’t wait
Well...okay. I’m gonna be honest with the Kagepro Fandom here.
It is not likely Iwill post the RAW manga for the fandom anymore
I will get the manga, yes. But at this point, I don’t evenwant to contribute anything to do fandom to help with access to officialcontents.
It was a very hard decision to make, but with how theKagepro fandom is acting today, I have decided I will not post the Kagepro RAWson Tumblr anymore, and will remove all RAWs I have scanned once I get thesubscription.
TL; DR: At thispoint, the fandom is too toxic, therefore I have no more desire to provide themanga chapters even though there is only one chapter left. Sorry to those whowere not involved in this, but screw it with the antis who now run the fandomand hope you’re happy.
Also still shipKanoKido and don’t see HibiMomo as a “pedophilia ship”
Listen. Back when I joined the fandom, it was a simplertime. Yobanashi Deceive came out, followed by Lost Time Memory and Ayano’sTheory of Happiness shortly after. Those days were simple as we all cried overKano and Ayano, and think of the potential plot LTM revealed as we all waited forMekakucity Actors to come out. We also had awesome contents on translatorstranslating some fancomics (with permission) and a good amount of fanfics andfanarts provided by the fans in this fandom.
Of course, we had some discourse over which was better:KanoKido or KanoAya; and over Shounen Brave’s MV being leaked online. And wehad major discourse over how MCA went, but in the end it’s just agree todisagree and move on to focus to other medias Kagerou Project was released in,or just move away from the series in general.
Right now with the fandom, however, they cannot agree ordisagree over ships. Majority of the fandom anyway. Today the fandom…other fandoms really, just love to throwthe word ‘incest’ and ‘pedophilia’ left and right with ease and spread theirflames in their posts, tags and replies. In everything, really. Even when theyposted official art, they feel the need to scream in their tag to tell usshippers to fuck off and die for shipping what they think is ‘incest’. I also knowthere are those who are disgusted over my display picture of Kano and Kidokissing, which an old friend of mine edited when that episode of MCA aired(won’t reveal name because I don’t want you to attack them). And even feelgross out over the pic in my blog of Kano petting Kido’s kitty ears.
I want to ask, how can the antis who claim Kano and Kido aresiblings, can see petting as sexual? You could have chosen to see it as abrother petting his sister’s kitty ears because it is cute and fun to tease herfor that, but no. Just because Kano and Kido are alone within a picture…or apanel frame really, you guys choose to view it as a romantic relationshipinstead of a sibling relationship, getting angry over it and spreading hate.
Ironic for antis who claim Kano & Kido are siblings, butjust seeing them together doing something makes you think it’s romantic anyway.
What’s more. Age gaps. Ever since another discourse over ships happened when my friend tried to makepeace with shippers (and sadly failed and upset over it when you guys flamedher), I have heard of this thing called “Half your age + Seven” to dictate whoto date with, and what is appropriately shippable, like HibiMomo. Honestly thispost have the best response over it, but I will quote the replyhere.
so a 16 year old can’tdate a 14 year old? so an 18 year old can’t date a 16 year old? so a 40 yearold can’t date a 27 year old? a math expression should not be the regulation ondating ages…
and if it’s shippingwho tf cares? not hurting anybody because they all fictional…
To be honest, this reminds me of Dead Poet Society. Ifanyone had seen the film, maybe you recall a scene where poetry is calculatedby math as well. This is that level of stupidity. The fandom today is doingsomething what could be considered excrement on what is acceptable over whatis fiction and bringing that over to reality. The reality where your parents, grandparents, classmates or anyone you know also have age gaps, and that reallyyou are more upset over fictional characters dating instead of real-life issuesof incest and pedophilia.
Other than that little discourse fiasco, there are otherthings, but I will not go into detail. Instead just says this tiny fandom justfeels too entitled with their belief and doing uncalled for things likebackstabbing and limiting others to enjoy supporting the fandom in their ownway. Also to let the antis go free by just sit by and watch. I understand thosewho are just tired and don’t want to deal with them. But for those who actuallyenable the antis to do what they want because you guys just don’t care, youguys are part of the guilty party as well by letting them grow and think it’sa-okay to be like this.
With that being said, I do not feel the need to post thefinal chapter anymore. You guys will have to figure it out yourselves or justwait and hear bits and pieces of it maybe. But I don’t even want to post what Iknow. Instead I will just share those RAWs with who I am friends with and whomI trust, plus those who are more mature because instead of flaming, they justlet others enjoy what they ship and do their own things.
The chapters being taken down will also remove myself as aRAW provider to the fandom, which I am thankful because I do not need to dothis anymore, as I, again, I hate scanning and always believe I would get intotrouble.
I know there are those, like my friends and mutuals I havehere on Tumblr, who wanted to read the manga since they do not have access tothem where they live. I am sorry for doing this to them too, but it just isn’tworth it in the end.
Instead, I will spend my remaining days in the fandom asjust someone who hears bits and pieces of Kagepro fandom here and there while Iam enjoying myself more in another fandom or doing other things I enjoy inlife, instead of spreading hate when someone doesn’t agree with you. I willstill look forward to Jin’s next album and when Mekakucity Reload to come out, andalso I might finish my KanoKido Oneshot requests and multichapter stories Iwanted to finish, but that will take a longtime since I’m planning to focus other writing instead.
But what I look forward to the most is when the series’ end,so then it can be put to rest for real and I can officially leave and let thefandom to slowly die. Might hear some things, but it will be a dying fandom atthat point.
The asks are still open for yelling. But it will just provea point. But right now, I believe I have blocked a lot of anti, which goes toshow how toxic this fandom has become. If I do get any asks/anon hate though, feel free to blacklist #discourse and #negativity, dear followers. Tumblralways had that option at least, you guys just need to use it when you’re onthe app without xKit. Also I will just answer those asks once, then block them afterwards (if you’re sending an ask through anon, you’re IP blocked).
If you guys read this whole thing (over 2 pages at thispoint), then I thank you for reading this. And more so if you understand what Iam doing. Sorry to those who are upset over this, but not to the antis who areupset and possibly raging if they read this.
Because with antis running the fandom, I want no part in itby providing them the last manga content.

Dear HxH fandom,
The recent actions that i’ve been spotting in here are beyond gross.
As someone who does not enjoy NSFW content of any form in this franchise, be it a solo adult, leopika, aged up killugon, or whatever under the sun, I’ve started my way out against this. Which left me following a large array of blogs on both sides of the spectrum. And now seeing this drama happen, I’m on the verge of walking through the door with this fandom. Which really sucks because Hunter x Hunter is my all-time favorite anime.
Things quickly went from a simple personal preference to pointing fingers and calling predators and sharing lists of people to block for merely an opinion which in my opinion is taking things way too far. Now if a person is an actual predator, they by all means deserve to be called out. But merely shipping something, or not being opposed to certain ships/deeds/etc. of the fandom? That’s not predatory at all!
It’s a fictional universe. People are free to explore all the ‘what-ifs’ if they want to do so, including grotesque, dramatic situations, and so forth. It doesn’t harm anybody, no real child, no real person, because it’s fictional people. It would be different if this was RPF (real people fiction - which in my personal opinion is gross and creepy by default no matter the initial age of the participants) but Hunter x Hunter does not consist of real people as characters. Simply put : If you don’t like something, don’t follow the content creators of such content, block the tag, block the person even on your local end. But don’t go treating them like actual pedophiles or predators. Because in a vast majority of cases, they’re probably not.
Though, I can understand that with main tags and all things can get chaotic.
Minors, I understand your notion that certain things can creep you out. In fact, I’m aware that minors should not be seeking out ANY NSFW content and adults who condone of this are actually punishable by US law. I know this from other fandoms I’ve been in, so i transfer you my knowledge. So it’s only fair you’re creeped out by this. And I can understand some of you might project yourselves on the characters so something like this can crush you and make you heavily uncomfortable. That’s fine, but you need to understand the world isn’t in your palm. And these characters, as much as you may wish, may be imagined differently in other people’s heads, since it’s fiction we’re talking about. Other people may wish to explore some other things, and now I’m not even necessarily talking of the ‘bad’ kind. So please try to de-personalize this, and learn to filter your content. There’s plenty tools out there to assist you such as XKit.
But just to stay on the safe side, people who like ‘grotesque’ content like certain ships or aged up nsfw, can’t you agree on a special tag together? Like something that stays away from the main tag, something minors and people who feel uncomfortable with such content (such as me) can easily blacklist. Ultimately many anime fandoms attract a lot of teenagers, as the label ‘shonen’ is targeted at teenage audiences. So i think something like this is in order because this is common practice in cartoon fandoms and certain game fandoms.
I don’t really support such stuff so I can’t really aid you, but I know from my part that this is just my personal preference. Nothing more, nothing less. And other people should learn that too.
Not following your personal preference DOES NOT MEAN that the person is a disgusting predator/pedophile.
So please stop killing eachother in the background and making the fandom a unpleasant place.
Please and thank you.

Update :)
Hey everyone, it’s been a while. You may have noticed that lately there’s been a bit of a decrease in daily posts here, and that I haven’t been as consistent with tagging, etc. For the past three months, I’ve been in the middle of an unexpected and extremely stressful house move. During this time, I’ve had very unreliable and inconsistent internet access, so I decided to run this blog on a queue, and add to it with intermittent reblogs whenever I could get the chance. To say it’s been frustrating is an understatement, and I sincerely apologize to those of you who have messaged me or sent me asks during this time – I’ve been so exhausted, it’s been impossible to keep up with everything.
Thankfully, the house move is now winding down (we’re now finally in the new house, but still unpacking, settling in, etc.), so I should at least be able to resume curating this blog with more of my usual attentiveness. I’d like to say that everything will now go back to normal, but….I’m honestly not quite sure what ‘normal’ is anymore. Over the last few months, I have been thinking long and hard about my continued involvement in SW fandom, and have come to some difficult, but, imo, necessary, conclusions.
Don’t worry, I am not leaving tumblr, nor am I going to stop posting on this blog. It means too much to me to do that. However, I feel I must make it clear that, from here on out, I can no longer have anything to do with any current or forthcoming ‘New Canon’ material, whether it be films, tv series (animated or otherwise), novels, comics….just…none of it.
Most of you know me well enough by now that I don’t think I even need to explain why, but I will do so, just in case....
I had always intended to completely divorce myself from the Disney stuff once Star Wars: Rebels had finished airing, but since, for a variety of reasons, it turned out that I was never able to finish watching that show through to its conclusion, this ended up happening far sooner than I’d expected. (I won’t even get into my thoughts on the renewed Clone Wars season – the less I say about it, or even acknowledge its existence, the better…for the state of my mental and emotional health, at the very least.)
My reasons for wanting—no, needing— to stay as far away as possible from Disney’s version of Star Wars from now on are many and varied [see here, here, here, and here], but ultimately it comes down to several inter-related issues, the most key being that ever since TFA, I have not been able to trust Disney with Star Wars, and will never be able to fully trust them with it ever again. It does not matter how much ‘good’ material they put out to balance out the bad, it’s too late…the damage is done. And since the version of SW as put forth in the sequels is probably the worst, most out-of-character, inaccurate, and disrespectful interpretation of my beloved story that I could possibly imagine, I therefore cannot help but view the rest of Disney’s output (however innocuous, and regardless of who writes/directs/creates it) with extreme skepticism, and an anxiety bordering on panic.
As I’ve gone over many times before, the entire premise of the so-called ‘sequels’ is anathema to pretty much all of my long-held beliefs and understanding of the saga as a whole…and to what I had, for decades, assumed that other fans implicitly understood and valued as well. And so, the fact that so many fans have so readily embraced those movies and swallowed down Disney’s bizarro version of the SW saga without hesitation or question, has continued to leave me feeling more and more heart-broken and ostracized. Not only from an entire fandom, but also from popular culture in general. It’s made me realize that, for far too many people, ‘Star Wars’ is indeed just a blockbuster series of movies, and is not the mythical two-part saga that it is to me. For far too many people, it is now, at worst, an endless, profit-churning franchise…at best, another version of an expanded universe, albeit one that has been corporately ‘canonized’.
The fact that I can no longer relate to most other SW fans is beyond depressing for me. Something I used to take for granted – the universal appeal and relatability of Star Wars as a modern myth—no longer exists. I can’t even talk about my beloved Star Wars with people in RL anymore, lest someone let slip a spoiler that will break my heart all over again.  It is no wonder that the lead-up to every subsequent release since then (even the ones I have been actively ignoring, which is most of them) has left me a shaking, nervous wreck….and given the often fragile state of my mental health in general, this has been downright dangerous for me at times. Even just stumbling across or hearing about SW related news and announcement can leave me distressed and despondent for days on end. It takes a herculean effort for me to then reclaim a positive headspace and find my ‘happy place’ again after something like this. So I blacklist as much as I can, but it doesn’t always work, because… in order to keep this blog even remotely active, I have to peruse other SW blogs for content. And, given my need to AVOID spoilers like the plague, I struggle to do this at the best of times. Disney has so oversaturated the market with their output that sometimes it seems like every damn day there is yet another announcement of some new release. It’s just too much, and the fact that there is no end in sight is demoralizing as hell. (I dream of creating a time machine and going back to before all of this shit, just to make it stAHP.) Ultimately, all of this combines together to leave me feeling completely alienated, stressed out, and just plain unhappy.
But no more, I say. This is FANDOM….it’s supposed to be FUN. It’s supposed to make me happy. Life is already horrifically depressing and stressful as it is. And what is more… this blog in particular is supposed to be my safe space. That’s what I created it to be, in the first place.
In short, the conclusion I’ve reached is this: in order to continue enjoying the REAL my preferred version of SW in the way that I need to engage with it, I MUST completely remove myself from new Disney content. If I do not, I will lose the ability to enjoy any of it at all.
So, my friends, while I’m not going anywhere (not just yet anyway), I do need to ask you all to please continue being patient and understanding with me about these above-mentioned issues. If you want to engage in meta discussions with me, for instance, please be aware that I will only talk about interpretations of ‘Star Wars’ as Lucas’ saga (and anything that is supplementary or supportive of that), and will not engage with anything that tries to insinuate that the sequels nonsense is even remotely part of the same story. Likewise, I beg you all to please refrain from commenting on my posts or messaging me about anything to do with upcoming releases, news, or any Disney Star Wars stuff from this point on. Again, I’m happy to discuss past content…to an extent (if you’re not sure what, please feel free to message me for clarification). But any new Disney content I just….don’t want to hear about. At all. Even if you THINK I will like it or be ok with it. The fact is… I won’t. Because Star Wars is finished. It’s a completed story. ‘IT IS ALREADY OVER. NOTHING CAN BE DONE TO CHANGE IT.’  I neither want nor need any more from it – whether as a story OR a ‘franchise’ – than what already exists.  And I become stressed and anxious the moment anyone (purposefully or inadvertently) suggests that I ought to be watching/reading/seeing/hearing about what I personally feel is just a fake version of the REAL THING that I hold dear.
Finally, I just want to clarify that, because of all of this, it’s unlikely that I will be able to keep this blog up-to-date with all the ‘latest’ content (not that I ever have done so, lol). I will, however, continue to keep it to the standards I have set so far. As always, the subject matter will be mostly be Prequels Trilogy, along with the (original!!) Clone Wars animated series (aka, seasons 1-5), Rebels (but only up through season 4a), Rogue One, and, of course, the Original Trilogy. Some supplementary material from those eras may creep in, along with occasional EU content. I just I thought I’d better make it clear that there won’t be any further ‘new canon’ on this blog…. at least, not unless some kind of unforeseen miracle happens and Disney decides to de-canonize their shitty sequel trilogy and magically make me trust them again! (ha ha I can dream)
Because it’s so difficult for me to find new content on tumblr without running into stuff I do not want to see, I have for a while now had the goal of creating my own content for those times when I can’t find anything new. Frustratingly, due to the house move, I’ve been way too busy to even contemplate that in recent times, but I do have some still-unfinished and in-progress projects that I’d like to eventually share here. In addition to this blog, I also ‘curate’ my own RL Star Wars collection, so once I get a new safe place to set it up, expect regular photoshoots of my action figures and other collectibles as well. :)
Most of all, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has stuck with this blog for so long. Thank you for respecting my various quirks, neuroses, and eccentricities, and for helping to keep this blog a safe space.
And to any new followers out there…. a belated, but very warm, welcome! :)

Hey dears! I know you've already heard from your admin team today (twice), but we have a few important announcements and questions coming your way and really needed to make a formal post about it, but before we get started, I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone to please RESPECT eachother, treat eachother the way you want to be treated, speak to eachother the way you want to be spoken to, we're all adults and I've known toddlers who have grasped this concept the first time they heard it, I'm sure everyone here can too
Without further ado, however, let me get on with the post so everyone can go back to roleplaying!
First, regarding a few NEW RULES
It's come to our attention that bubble-roleplaying is starting to become a thing with some people, and that is NOT what we want as a group, when we say "bubble-roleplaying", we aren't talking about replying to a few people here and a few people there, we mean consistently only replying to the same two or three people and never anyone else, OR replying to starters once/making a starter and never replying again, then continuing on with the same two or three people, and guys, that is REALLY bad group etiquette, so we aim to fix it!
From now on, it's a RULE that you cannot bubble-RP
We expect you to reply to atleast FIVE different people PER MONTH- that really shouldn't be a hard goal to hit (ofcourse, reasonable allowances will be made if you've been on hiatus for several weeks)
Additionally, if you post a starter or ask people for one-on-one starters, you MUST reply MORE THAN ONCE to atleast two out of five of these threads (again, allowances will ofcourse be made for hiatuses, and if you need more time to reply to a thread, we aren't going to penalize you, this is only for dropping threads entirely, event threads may be a different story as we know not everyone likes to play them outside of events) We PERFECTLY understand a thread not going the way you wanted, losing muse, being short on time, etc, but to repeatedly post open starters or ask for personalized starters and then never reply to them or only reply once is really poor etiquette, and if you're doing this enough to even get more than five per month in the first place, then you really, really should be replying more
Failure to abide by these rules will result in a ban on open starters for one month, and we ask that you no longer ASK for personalized starters during that time either, if you run into this problem three times, it'll be treated as any other rule break
Now here's the thing.... to ask the admins to make sure everyone is always abiding by this rule on our own schedules would be MADNESS, so we're going to be going on the HONOR SYSTEM, meaning we rely on you guys to stick to these rules, AND to let us know if someone isn't (but please don't fill up the inbox every month on the dot saying that so-and-so didn't reply to a certain thread or that such-and-such only replied to four people this month after being on a long hiatus or what not, again, we're adults, please use good judgement so we can keep this rule going smoothly)
Now, here's some actual GOOD news for anyone who has trouble with open starters
We’re going to start making a weekly post in the OOC with starters that need more notes to make sure everyone sees them, if your starter isn’t showing up in the tags or you’re a new blog, please send your starter to the main so that we can put it in the OOC for you!
This won't be a scheduled thing, and if you're a new blog ofcourse we'll post your starter as soon as we can, but just a general month-ish type of a thing!
We also would like to reiterate something that was posted earlier today, to make sure everyone sees it:
As of now, we will be making it an OFFICIAL RULE that you cannot block members
We felt before that it sorta should’ve gone without saying considering one of the rules is that you must be following all group members, but at this point we’ve gotten enough complaints that we feel it’s time to make a post about it
If there’s specific content that you don’t want to see, blacklisting tags is definitely a thing- and we’d like to take this time to remind everyone to PLEASE tag all potentially triggering material, NSFW images or videos, potentially triggering kinks such as incest and beastiality, and mpreg related posts, and, if there’s a specific kink or trigger that you need tagged, PLEASE contact the main and we WILL make a post for you-
If there’s a specific member that you don’t want to see content from, you can blacklist their username and POOF- problem solved! Or, if that doesn’t work for some reason, please contact the main directly with the issue so that we can try to work things out, but blocking is just not going to work, it inhibits players from interacting with eachother and- most critically- from interacting with the OOC blog, among other things, it simply isn’t fair to the players in question to not be able to interact with the rest of the group
As of now, we ask that any members who have blocked another member PLEASE undo the blocking, or we’ll be forced to take action
Please note, however, that just because we will no longer allow blocking members, it does not mean we will EVER force players to interact with eachother, and we’d like to take this time to remind everyone that players have the right to choose to interact with whoever they want, and we will NOT tolerate harassment of any kind, if someone is harassing you, talk to them about it and how it’s making you feel. We’re all adults here so let’s use our words and deal with things amongst ourselves. If you’re not comfortable doing this, or the person has ignored your request to cease harassment, please do reach out to the main so we can help out.
Remember, roleplaying is supposed to be a fun and stress-free activity, please make sure that you’re creating that kind of environment for yourself and those around you, no one wants to be blocked- especially when it interferes with the rest of the group- and no one wants to be harassed or feel forced into threads either
And finally, we have two new polls open for you guys, and it would REALLY help us out bunches if you could answer them!
The first is regarding longterm events, someone brought a pretty cool idea to our attention earlier that it might be fun to have a longterm (quarterly, half-year, or yearly) event going that uses our monthly events as something like stepping stones, for example, a murder mystery, in Event 1 an NPC is murdered and in the following five events there are clues that are found leading to who the killer was, wich will be revealed in Event 6, or another rebellion rising up that takes a new step every event throughout the year before they make a grand effort in December, that sort of thing
Now here's the thing though, something like that would take A-L-O-T of work from the admins, and I mean ALOT, so it's something we're ONLY going to do if there is absolute commitment and enthusiasm from the group for it, as that would be alot of time and energy to waste on something that people aren't overly thrilled with, thus, you can vote right here and let us know what you think!
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JVB3QR3
And one FINAL thing, one last poll- for now- are there any changes you guys would like to make to the undercroft or the slaves held there? Much older members might remember a time when the undercroft was quite different, no bird cages, but personal cells instead- for example- the idea of microchipping was brought up too, so if you guys would be kind enough to let us know if you want any changes or if you think the undercroft and those inhabiting it are A-ok, then that'd be swell!
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/J7M29CG
We're sorry to make such a long post, but believe us, it was necessary, thank you all SO much for reading this, now back to your threads!

do you believe in
74. yourself:  sometimes
75. miracles: sometimes.
76. love at first sight: not Love. Intense attraction, lust, chemistry, strong magnetic pull, yes.  But Love grows from getting to know someone.  At first sight you only see the outer shell.  You may really like the look/touch/taste/smell of the outer shell, but it's what's inside that engenders real Love.
77. santa claus: I'm waaayyy to naughty for that.
78. kiss on the first date: depends...(see #69)
79. angels: hmmmmm....I believe in supernatural and extraterrestrial beings... it's a big universe and it's be an awful waste of space if humans were the only beings around.  I also believe in human angels.  Those selfless human beings who share their light with others, hoping to change the world for the better.
other
80. eye colour: green.  sometimes hazel, depending on what I wear.
81. favourite movie: WOW...OK, I'll try to narrow it down.  All the Harry Potter movies, all the Lord of the Rings movies, A&E Pride and Prejudice (miniseries), pretty much all the adaptations of Jane Austen books, most versions of Jane Eyre, Dark City, Merchant of Venice (2004 Al Pacino version), there are lots more that I won't list of this will be miles long.
82. height: 5'7
83. siblings: two younger half brothers

Dear Followers: if you want to do this, feel free, go nuts, tag me so I can see!
XO!

Note
I know KS is well you already know but I actually want to continue it just cause I'm curious on how it'll end /or who will end up dead first/ but the thing is... we are allowed to like what we like right? As long you know what's real and what isn't it?
I’m of the opinion that people simplify this issue too much. Consuming problematic media is not inherently wrong, but it’s not just enough to know “what’s real and what isn’t”.
Now, this is one particular issue in which I use my own behavior as a model, but note that I am not going to try and claim that my views are the ‘correct one’ or that my approach is better than others. However, I would just like to offer to everyone who worries about this some insight into a philosophy that isn’t quite so black-and-white as others I have seen.
Basically, like every ask I ever receive, the answer’s going to be long, so hang on, Anon. Please note that Google Chrome ‘ran out of memory’ while I was writing this post, so if anything cuts off at a weird point, I just lost that portion and didn’t notice…
 More below the cut:
First thing’s first: I consume problematic media. As an aspiring writer, I enjoy experiencing stories that make me feel things, even if that feeling might be “dear god, this is what it feels like to watch a train wreck”, and as someone who thrives on new experiences, I enjoy being able to feel a broad range of emotions in a safe and controlled medium - either dreams or fiction. If there was a way to try psychedelic drugs and or ‘bad trips’ without risk of physical or psychological damage, I would try it.
Heck, I’m the kind of person who tries to induce sleep paralysis and nightmares for fun because I get a kick out of the sheer terror. It’s inevitable that I sometimes like to read about the visceral horror and sickening dread that comes from highly dangerous and awful situations. (Of course, I also have my limits, but that’s not the point of this post)
That being said, I try to be mindful about my enjoyment of such content in many ways, and I’m of the opinion that everyone else should as well. Something I always say is that “people can’t help how they feel, but they can help how they behave,” and through that behavior the feelings might change over time. However, you can’t blame someone for a reactive emotion, be it positive or negative. Humans don’t have control over their emotions.
As such, of course we’re all allowed to like what you like, but ‘liking’ something is not your ‘behavior’. Liking something is a feeling. Everything else you choose to do are actions, and you need to think them through because every action has a consequence, either on you or the environment around you.
Since you mentioned Killing Stalking, we’ll use it as an example. Although you’re allowed to like what you like, do you also know the reasons why some people are so vehemently against it? It’s not just the murder and it’s not just the depiction of abuse, and it’s not okay just to handwave it all under “haters will be haters”. These are people genuinely upset about this comic’s contents and consumption, and as someone who is choosing to enjoy it, I personally feel as though fans have a responsibility to first understand what these people are so upset about, and then make an informed decision whether or not to read it.
Once I learned that Killing Stalking was so negatively received by some individuals, I did my research. I read reasons why people dislike it. I specifically searched for primary sources, reactions of gay men and reactions of individuals with BPD. I went in with a neutral mindset - I had only just started reading the comic and I wouldn’t have minded giving it up at that point - and then decided what points I could empathize with and thought about how these viewpoints - different from my own - would affect my actions. Typically, there are three questions:
1) Will I continue reading/watching?
2) Will I financially support this content?
3) Will I socially support this content?
Question 1:In my opinion, only the first question depends on your personal likes/dislikes. Yes, you can like what you like. You can consume questionable content. However, if your answer to that is ‘yes’ or even a ‘maybe’, you absolutely have to ask yourself the next two questions.
Question 2:We live in an era of rampant digital pirating, and though yes, it is a crime and people are always encouraged not to, I’ve never personally met someone of my generation who hasn’t pirated a movie if they missed it in theaters and then couldn’t find it on Netflix and or Amazon Video. Popular books can be downloaded as PDFs or epubs. Foreign comic translation is a veritable unpaid industry of its own, on the internet (which is its own bucket of problems, but that’s not what this post is about).
So, ultimately, though the economic and moral implications are a bit hazy, you get to decide whether or not you financially support anything you watch or read. You can decide whether or not something that you find enjoyable is also something you think there should be more of in the world. In the modern capitalistic era, you as a consumer have the power to vote with your wallet, in a sense. I’m going to give an example of how this might work after this section.
I will say, however, if you plan to indirectly profit off your interaction with certain media, no matter how problematic, you have an obligation to support the author for their work. If you are going to write a movie review as an official film critic, you have to watch it in theaters. If you are going to write a book review in an official capacity, buy the book. This is partially because I believe that if you’re profiting off someone else’s work in any way, that someone should be compensated even if you hated it, and mostly because I believe that reviewers will be more accurate if they actually pay the money to see if something was “worth their money”.
This is also the reason why I bought Killing Stalking through its official channels. I had built up a surprising following for my lost-in-translation posts and even received a small sum of donations for my write-ups. As such, as an aspiring content creator myself, I could not in good conscience not pay for the webcomic when the official version was so easily accessible to me. This is also why once I felt too uncomfortable with the content and author’s comments that I stopped my lost-in-translation posts as well. I didn’t feel comfortable financially supporting her, and I didn’t feel comfortable profiting off someone else’s content for free.
Also I just didn’t want to read anymore, ahaha.
An example of something I would watch if I didn’t have to financially support it, though, is the new Ghost in the Shell movie. Even though I have pretty much vocalized everything I dislike about it, I am curious to see it for myself. If I really, really wanted to, I could easily watch the movie without providing financial support or official viewership. However, in exchange, I wouldn’t feel right writing a review about it, especially not a monetized one, due to my personal stance on creative content and also because a low-quality laptop-screen experience would greatly differ from a cinema-quality experience.
Question 3:And lastly, separate from the financial question, you have to ask whether or not you will socially support something. Word-of-mouth and fandom content are powerful, powerful forms of marketing, especially on Tumblr.
I read Killing Stalking and actively contributed to the fandom with my cultural / language translation posts. However, followers of mine might have noticed that aside from the first week or so, I never reblogged any fanart or other such content. This was because, although I personally was reading the comic with some interest, it was not content I wanted to actively encourage others to read. For the same reason, I assured all my followers that every post of mine with Killing Stalking content would be appropriately tagged so that they can blacklist it, should they feel it necessary.
There are some things that I read and enjoy that I choose not to support publicly or enthuse about. Some might call it disingenuous and others might tell me not to let others censor my behavior, but it is an intentional decision on my part. In the case of Killing Stalking, I had several reasons.
Firstly, I knew not all my followers were comfortable with it, and I want my blog to be a comfortable and accessible place for most people. This was especially true because I knew for a fact that I had some younger followers age 14 and 15 and so, and let me tell you, I remember being that age and feeling like I knew enough to make informed choices. I have learned more with age, enough to recognize that rather than controlling the media I consumed, the media I consumed was controlling me. I was young and impressionable, and I made some mistakes I’m not proud of.
I was especially careful after the first week or so to not post fanart, no matter how nice, because as a teenager, I was so, so, so easily influenced by good fanart. In fact, I am still so easily won over by good fanart and funny content, and this is a problem for me as a person, and it’s dragged me down some pretty questionable rabbit holes in the past.
Secondly, another reason I limited fandom participation outside of my lost-in-translation posts was because sure, Killing Stalking is an interesting story in some capacity, but it isn’t a story I would outright recommend to the general masses, like I would some other media. Killing Stalking is more of a story that people will end up finding if they’re interested in such content in the first place.
In fact, it’s something that I would have found worrying if it had become widely popular, because then it truly would become a social influence and start affecting people’s views of the world.
As an additional note, some people would argue that the ‘lost-in-translation’ posts that I made might have been a form of promotion for this comic. Perhaps that is true, I don’t know. However, the way I see it, the people who would have seen those posts were individuals already in the fandom, and how I saw it, the fandom needed something more than just the fanart and the fanfics. There were a lot of people explaining why fans of Killing Stalking shouldn’t support the comic, but the problem is - and I know this from experience - the vast majority of fans, especially younger fans, won’t read about people hating what they like.
More often than not, a diehard Harry Potter fan won’t read an article about how much the original Harry Potter books suck, except to judge the person who wrote it. Sure, Killing Stalking isn’t Harry Potter and honestly it’s laughable that I even made that comparison at all, but the nature of fans don’t change from story to story. Fans are fans. Killing Stalking fans either wouldn’t have read or wouldn’t have taken to heart some pretty harsh, legitimate criticisms of the comic, especially when they’re really into it.
If someone is already a fan of something and someone comes up to them telling them (often aggressively) that they are wrong to be a fan, those two individuals are already established as enemies. Heck, we see how heated sports fans get about their teams. It’s also pretty much proven human nature, especially in individualistic societies, that if someone tells you not to do something, you feel the need to continue in order to re-establish your autonomy.
So a large part of why I made those lost-in-translation posts was so that people already in the fandom had someone within the fandom they could engage with who could offer some perspective on some of the more dangerous elements within the story. And people have come to ask me for advice about it, you included, Anon! And I’m genuinely grateful that you value and trust my opinion on topics such as these.
Reasons why “I know it’s not real” is not an adequate excuse for unchecked fandom behavior:
This is a metaphor I spent some time developing, but I think it fits. Though, I did come up with the metaphor thinking of a gun-free area, so it might not apply to all parts of America, aha, but let’s just roll with it:
Say, for instance, you have a model gun. Anyone can tell that it’s fake if they take the time to look at it, but it’s still a pretty accurate depiction of a gun. You know it’s not real, and most adults can tell it’s not real. Saying “the content’s not real, so let people reblog whatever they want” is akin to saying “it’s not a real gun, so let people carry it wherever they want.” Sure, that may be a fair point… except, long-term, carrying realistic model guns wherever you want leads to two distinct but significant problems:
1) Children grow desensitized to the sight of guns.
2) It becomes harder to tell the difference between model and real guns.
Problem 1:If children become desensitized to the sight of guns, they grow desensitized to the true danger that comes with holding a gun. One of the most powerful moments of my life, to date, is the first time I held a big, sharp knife. Because I had never held a knife before, I felt the weight of the metal, saw the glint of the edge, and oh boy, I was a little terrified knowing that I held a potential weapon in my hand. It kept me wary. It kept me careful.
Children who grow up desensitized to guns wouldn’t have that with guns. They wouldn’t feel that same danger, and really, that means there’s just one less hurdle between them and real guns.
Problem 2:Where oh where to begin with this. First of all, if children grow up thinking all the model guns are real guns, they’ll end up getting a real gun instead of a model gun. What will they say when they get caught and in trouble? “Everyone else does it, though!” and it may or may not be true.
Secondly, if some people start carrying real guns around amidst the model guns, and the model guns look realistic too, we have difficulty picking out the real guns from the model guns. We know they’re out there, but we can’t tell which is which. It’s not like you could check every single person out there carrying a model gun.
Thirdly, it becomes more difficult to tell real danger from fake danger. In a model gun society, maybe it’s commonplace for people to point model guns at each other as a joke. Haha, it’s fake, we all laugh. But maybe there’s someone out there being threatened by someone close to them with a real gun, disguised as a joke, and we can’t tell.
The Explanation:Maybe I lost you a bit there. It’s a little difficult to see how this relates to problematic fictional media. But again, let’s take Killing Stalking and pretend it became widely popular and mainstream. If something gets super popular and mainstream, it becomes a fad.
I’ll be honest, I lost this entire section when the post restarted, so I’m going to just give you the cliffnotes version. I’m sorry, I’ll rewrite it at some point;;
1) Children get desensitized easily. Think of any drugs, even alcohol or tobacco. The more you take, the more your body builds a tolerance, the more you need to take next time to have the same effect. The human brain is one of the most changeable parts of the body, and it will do the same thing with fictional media. Repeated exposure to something will have an effect. That’s why exposure therapy exists. Simultaneous exposure is a whole different beast. That’s why Pavlovian conditioning exists.
2) Desensitized children grow up into desensitized adults who think that what they went through / the intensity / content of media they watched was the norm, and they will go on to raise children who might end up even more desensitized than them. Perhaps that would just make it ‘natural social change,’ but is is a desirable one?
3) Also, in the case of Killing Stalking, people wore cosplay with visible signs of abuse to conventions. Some conventions have children attending. I am of the opinion that children should not be exposed to fake signs of physical abuse as that is not something that should be normalized.
4) Just these last two weeks, two separate men in two separate countries Facebook Livestreamed the murders they committed. We are living in a technologically developing society that is simultaneously exhibitionist, voyeuristic, and Orwellian. If media like Killing Stalking became popular and mainstream and encouraged similar media to come onto the market, especially in live-action, it will become harder and harder to distinguish the ‘real’ from the ‘not real’. In the future, someone might livestream someone they keep locked in the basement, reassuring their viewers that it’s all ‘fake’ and just an ‘experimental storytelling’ thing. In a society where such media is commonplace, we just might believe it.
In Closing:
I am aware that not everyone has the patience, energy, or desire to do this research with every controversial piece of media they choose to consume. That’s up to them. However, even these individuals have a responsibility to be mindful about their behavior. Even if you don’t research, if there are people criticizing the content of whatever you are reading/watching, acknowledge that there must be something that bothers some people. You cannot determine that you are right and they are ‘too sensitive’ without actually doing the research.
Be mindful that, no matter what measures people take, there are probably preteens in your fandom. I won’t tell you what to do with that information, but at least keep it in mind.
One person’s mindfulness changes little, but little changes build up. I would write more but it is long and I have a headache, good bye;;

Approaching the cave entrance after having stopped by Quarry Mill for extra supplies, Armont and I scanned the outside of said cave before slowly entering. We had a goal in mind: finding a specific catalyst for Hestia’s medication. It would not cure her, nor might it even give her any sort of lasting relief, but as a mother it was all I could do to make my baby’s life better...
"The should be the right one, if I studied the geography here correctly... not that I do not know the Shroud geography of course!" Carina scoffed out, squinting down at her map before eventually tugging out her reading spectacles to look over it better.
Following just behind his wife and off to the right, Armont would soon slow his pace as his wife's did. As she pulled out the map, the taller Elezen would lean over to peer down at the map, his eye darting from its landmarks to his wife's face. He had this horrid feeling that his wife was not good with directions, moreso reading a map, but he had to hold some faith in her. "How far in rests the crystals we need for Hestia?" He asked as a thunder and lightning crackled behind them, though the cave remained somewhat silent for the moment.
Grimacing with every strike, but managing to keep her cool with the loud sounds, Carina let out a few deep breathes. "Crystals are typically found deep within these caverns. We will have to venture in rather deep. Though the crystals aren't too uncommon, we simply need them is cluster is all," she nods, beginning to march forward. "At least there isn't a lot of beast tribe activity around here... outside of Goblin camps but, they typically keep to themselves," she waves a dismissive hand.
The man nodded as he pulled the spear from his back to use as a walking stick. Once the two had reached a certain point within the cave, he'd bring his free hand up to unfasten the eyepatch to take it off. Tucking it away with a few blinks as the deep glowing crimson began looking forward, he'd nod towards her. "Aye. With any luck this will be a simple walk in and out." He pursed his lips in thought. "Carina, dear, what color of crystal are we looking for?"
"This particular cluster is a wind one, so green," Carina murmurs out, rolling her map and storing it away into her satchel. Occasionally kicking a few rocks beneath her boots, the woman glances around with a blink at the dark walls, Joseph wandering at her feet. After a few moments of the cavern darkening, she tugged out a small lantern, dropping a small fire shard within it as it combusted into a flame. "At least the thunder is harder to hear he-" as if on queue, a thundering crash was heard that echoed throughout the cave. Startling the poor Hyur, Carina dropped her lantern as it rolled away from her some, squatting down as she covered her head, "ah! Ah..." she mumbles out to herself, her face scrunched up some as she waited a moment to compose herself. Breathing in and out, she eventually stood back up to her feet and marched over to snatch back up the lit lantern. "That was far too close to be thunder..." she says out in almost a whisper, beginning to quickly walk back toward the entrance of the cave. In their venturing deeper, the duo had passed some other tunnels, choosing to keep a straight path. Once at the 'entrance' Carina was taken aback to find the entrance sealed shut with stone, "wha... what happened?!"
Armont De'bayle blinked as he watched his wife drop the lantern, staggering himself some as his hands moved out to stabilize himself in a readied manner. Once the woman leaned forward to pick up the lantern, he would hold a hand out for it. Soon mounting it on the end of his lance as he held it out forward, his gaze would soon narrow as it met the stone entrance. "Perhaps the 'thunder' that we had heard was the work of the goblins that you speak of, and this boulder is the result of that boom." He sighed while reaching out to graze his hand against the coarse rock. "Shall we venture down another path or can you split this rock with your axe?"
"I fear I did not bring my axe with me, as I had many other tools to carry with me in order to mine for this crystal, and it was would have been too much to carry even for me. Seems we will have to seek out another path," she grumbles out, poking a finger to her glasses to slide them farther up the bridge of her nose. "Goblins..." she glances down at the rocks, noticing their broken form. "These do appear to have been caused by explosives... no frying from thunder," sighing, Carina ran a hand through her messy hair with a huff, "well, we have two other tunnels we can venture down... however, we may not be alone. So we should more than likely proceed with caution. If there truly are Goblins in here, they are more than likely treasure hunting."
"If they view us as beings who hold treasure, the only treasure they will find is a spear erupting through their chests." Armont huffed out while turning to point the lantern towards one of the other routes. "Does this look promising to you?" Armont asked, his crimson eye flickering down the narrows as it's vision cut through the dark. If the woman looked to him, she would notice the red eyes slit had grown from the exposure to darkness, allowing him to see better than most in it.
"Mmm..." the woman thinned her lips out, her eyes looking between the three paths, "well... there is no best way, but one way will lead to what we came for and our potential exit. Whether we find unwanted visitors is to be seen..." Stepping forward, the Hyurs smaller footsteps echoed around them as they began down the darkened tunnel, her stare occasionally turning to look toward Armont’s crimson eye.
"Should we check if there is any moving air then if we are to progress down this path? If the air is still, it likely does not have an exit." Armont stated, but continued down the path next to his wife. "Another... Another question on the crystals. Do they, glow?" He questioned silently and softly over to her.
"It depends on how strong their aether is," she mumbles out, reaching to tug her glove off and lick two of her fingers. Reaching a hand up she felt for air. "Large clusters tend to glow, however depending on how small it is, it might not, or it might be very faint… I feel a light breeze, this seems like it could be the right way... or it might lead into a more open cavern. We will have to see," she nods, her eyes lingering back onto her husband, "I am sure we will noticed though, if we see the crystals."
Nodding towards his wife, the man would continue on next to her. Bringing a hand to be placed onto her shoulder, his spear arm extended out further to light the path ahead of them, though this was done moreso for her, as he could see further than the light portrayed. "Aye. Tis the boon we get for walking in the dark and looking for glowing clusters."
"I would certainly say that is more on the lucky side," she laughed, "more lucky than the current situation we're in..." smiling up to the man, Carina stops short as her foot stepped on something. Glancing down, she spotted a long metal wire, "huh..." lifting her foot, a loud snap was heard as a swoop net came swinging down, snatching Carina up with it. "Ahhh!" she shrieked out as the net lifted her up toward the slightly widened ceiling of the tunnel they were travelling down.
"Pshhhh shkoooh, simple Uplander. Toungeflaps give away your location," came the echoing voice of an obvious intruder. Waddling up on a higher perch, a single Goblin was waving their long feet about in a shake. "Psssshhhk, tall one, leave your metalcovers and your small-lander will be released."
Looking up as his wife was suddenly casted up violently to the ceiling, Armont would shake his head after listening to the Goblin. "Nay, mine armor shall stay on I am afraid." He boldly stated before his eye erupted with red aetherflow. Soon lightning himself, the man would leap up in attempts to not only cut the wire with the tip of his lance, but catch her with his free arm in the same breath.
"Northlander don't!!--psshhhkkk" the Goblin wanders back as Armont swiftly jumped up, the net snapping from the blade of his spear. Carina let out a grunt as her husband tugged her into his arms, having already been making her own efforts to escape the binds. Falling from her, both her dagger and spectacles clanked against the stone beneath them, one not surviving the fall. "Pshhhkkk, we will get armour tall-one! Skooooohhhh!"
Armont grunted towards the goblin as he gracefully landed with wife in arm. Placing her down with a peck on the cheek, he'd lean down further to hand her the knife that fell. "You should watch your step my lady." He taunted in a playful tone as he handed her over the lantern to hold. "They look to my armor for scrap I assume, yes? That is what Goblins need most in their lair."
Gritting her teeth some, Carina took the dagger back, shoving it into its sheath at her back. "It is a bit dark I fear... but I certainly will be far more cautious now," looking up, the Goblin appeared to be nowhere in sight. "Mmm... Goblins, well yes they like junk as much as they like treasure. They would probably melt it down to use it build their machinery- AH!" crouching down, Carina scooped up her broken spectacles, "weh... just my luck," she whined out pathetically.
Joseph lingered in the darkness a bit behind them, without Carina's direct orders, he felt no inclination to act much unless absolutely necessary.
"A-are you going to be able to continue on without those?" It wasn't like she was going to need them in the dark to read anyway... Beginning to walk forward some to scout out the area ahead, Armont shook his head some as he turned to look back to his wife. "Do you think they would be willing to trade?"
"It will be fine," she sighs out dishearteningly, "I will just have to get them repaired now. A trade? Hmm..." poking the broken glass out of her spectacles, Carina held onto the bent frames. "Perhaps. They have little desire to kill, as much as they do collecting junk. If we make it worth their while, I am sure we can get out without any more issues."
"Aye, I see no reason to kill something that seems to not wish to kill us as much as just wanting metal. Should we... yell out for them? Ask for a trade?" He said to his wife as she mourned over her glasses.
Raising the bent frames up to her face, Carina waved them some, "how about we lure them out?" she smirked.
Moving farther into the tunnel, and making sure to take extra care as to watch her step, Carina and Armont eventually entered into a wider cavern. Within the cavern were some softly glowing green crystals, littering the walls, "ah!" Carina spoke out some, tossing the spectacles to Armont, "lure them out with these and..." she looked up, the sound of thunder far more prominent though the caverns small ceiling opening. "They are more than likely in here, and they will probably not leave us alone. I am going to mine for the clusters, see what you are able to do!"
Armont caught the bent glasses with a hand. Nodding in agreement with his wife, he'd venture out into the center of the cavern to shout. "We are here for a few good lumps of the green crystals that glow about these paths. If you wish to trade metal for rock, I would be more than willing to part with some of our metal in exchange." He said loudly, turning to speak once more. "You all have likely melted down poor metals once before, but what if I offered you Ishgardian Steel?"
"Psshhhh khkooooohhh..." the heavy sound of muffled breath could be heard in some mass as a few dozen different Goblins came out from within the shadows, "northlander metal? Psshh, what trade, what want?" the groups of Goblins waddle some, their floppy feet slapping against the stone loudly.
Armont had a certain glimmer in his eyes at their curiosity. Soon tossing over the glasses which were made from the same metal as an initial gift of friendliness, he'd motion over to where his wife stood to point at the glowing rock that she was mining out. Tossing one over to them as well, he'd return back to the middle with a content expression. "There is no need to cause harm, when we could make a deal and avoid any bloodshed. I have more metal than that, as you can clearly see, so what say you? A few large clusters for a bit of mine armor?"
Murmuring amongst one another, a single Goblin stepped forth. One far more ornate than the others, "Pshhhkkk, Kobblepot Steamflappers does not trust northlander! Take tall-one, take metal shell!" they ordered out. Bolting forward, the group of Goblins ignored the spectacles Armont tossed out toward them, rushing forward toward the man with wired rope in hand to tie the man up.
The man was swift to react towards their advance as he began to unbuckle the shoulder plate on his right shoulder, he'd hand it over to one of them with a smirk, the shoulder plate taking the place of the wire. "One more advance and you lose a business partner. You wish for treasures and metals? Who says this needs to be the last trip we take out into these mines?" He questioned, ensuring his tone was firm as he spoke to them.
Halting their movements with a skid, the Goblins panicked between one another. "Northlander would kill! Would kill, ruthless tall-one! Pshhhh!" they cried out, snatching up Armont’s shoulder plate, "all metal! All metal!"
"And yet I stand without weapon drawn unless in the defense of mine own partner. Would you wish to stand by your false words any more, or do you wish to trade?" His words sounded more impatient, perhaps a tactic to be used to pressure them into understanding or following through with the deal.
"No trust Northlander! Like to deceive! Think they are better than Kobblepot! Pshhhh Shkkooooofff...." the leader cursed out, "want tall ones metal! We not care of small one!"
"I offer my shoulderpad for the time being. The armor I wear -may- be offered if you pull your allies back while we discuss. Is that not fare? Or shall we continue with what we are doing while I either deal with you lot or we continue on?"
Grumbling out, the leader turned back toward his gang, mumbling in hish tones, as the others scattered into the darkness, "quickly Northlander, we have not much time to waste, pshhhh."
Armont would walk up to the leader of the group, though leaving enough room to react if there were any ill-willed movements made against him. Extending the hand out that held yet another glowing shard from the cave, he'd look back up to the head. "How much of this do you possess?"
Letting out a muffled breath, the leader wiggled his overly weighted head up toward Armont, "as much as we need North lander, pshhhhkkk small one mined much while you stood, refusing to give metal!" he scoffed, motioning a shovel toward where Carina was.
Shoving the last of her cluster into her satchel, the woman was swiftly cornered by Goblins, "shiiii...hello! I do not have anything... of any spectacular value one me," she offered out cheesed smile, one of the Goblins shoving a gun to her face, "o-oh that's not necessary!" she laughed out nervously. Once securely her pack, she brought a hand out to her mouth, "Armont! I think it's about time we left!" Ducking down, Carina swiped a leg out toward the beastman, attempting to knock it off it's large dangly feet and snatch its gun from its grimey hands. Letting off a shot that managed to barely miss the Hyur, Carina yelped some as the Goblin hopped up and onto her head, them all following in a sort of strange dogpile. "Gahhh, come on!"
Armont De'bayle sighed heavily as he lightened his body with haste. In a split second's notice, he'd jolt forward with great speed, snatching his shoulder plate from the Goblins hands before attempting to knock him out with it if able. "Perhaps we should, aye!"
Motioning its hands away, the Goblin yelled out, "no! No taking back! North lander give this metal to us!" though it was far too late, as the shoulder pad was snatched from its hands. Choosing to retreat into the darkness, the Goblin whistled out for its partners, "bring small lander and her tools!" the leader ordered out.
Struggling from under the weight of at least three or four other Goblins, Carina managed to slide her way from under them, bolting in the direction of Armont with an arm stretched out. "Arrgg--grab my hand!" she cried out, the Goblins all hopping forward once more to latch onto her legs.
Armont De'bayle reached out to take her hand tightly as it was extended out. Soon the woman would feel her body lighten against Armont’s touch as the man attempted to rip her back towards him, though with not enough force to do any damage to her and only knock off what goblins were tethered to her. "Come! We move swiftly!" He shouted.
Being tugged into him, the woman's cheek smacked into his armour somewhat harshly, though not enough to injure her despite the force, thankfully. Grumbling some, she rubbed a hand to her stinging cheek before motioning a pointed finger back, "Armont! Is the ceiling to high for you to-" she stopped. Joseph! Right, where was he again. Standing by the damn entrance, "Jo! You could have done something!" she yelled out, the Goblins rushing forward toward them. Looking back to his Hyur with an annoyed stare, the beast finally made his move forward, rushing between the pair to poke his horns out toward the oncoming Goblins, making them skid on their path.
Armont De'bayle knew that the little purple blob of shit was going to stab him for this, but he quickly leaned down to grasp onto Joseph tightly along with Carina. Taking a crouching pose for a brief moment, his eye would flare dangerously as he dumped aeromancy into the trio before leaping out of the cave. Soaring a bit higher than needed, the three would soon touch ground with the top of the cave lightly, Armont quickly dropping Joseph to avoid any wrath, and watching him for anything coming.
Letting out a loud shriek as the trio launched into the air, her hands desperately holding to her satchel and to her husband's arm, Carina found herself a bit on the more frazzled side as they landed. "I-I will never get used to that..." she murmured out, her hair messier than usual as the cries of upset Goblins could be heard from the top opening. Growling out in anger, Joseph huffed out as he walked away from Armont, moving away from the group to find an edge that would lead back toward the original entrance.
"Well my lady, twas not the outcome I foresaw, but it is one I will take nonetheless." His eyes looked saddened as they drifted back to the hole. Taking the shoulder pad he had pressed against his chest tightly, he'd toss it back into the cave they jumped out of. He was silent for a moment, but under closer inspection, Carina would notice that he hand a clenched fist held tightly against his chest. With it, was a smile. "...So the world will know the might of Ishgardian Steel..." He mumbled to himself, a glimmer in his eye as he said it.
Offering her husband a plain, unamused expression, the woman shook her head, "I hardly think the Goblins will put it to good use dear. Let us head home, I have the clusters for Hestia’s medicine," she smiled,  brushing off her outfit. "Oh an Armont."
"Hm?" He questioned, looking to his wife with a pleased expression himself.
"I took a test earlier today, a special mix of alchemic properties that- er, well, anyways..." the woman moved over to him, tapping her knuckle to his gauntlet, "it's official! I'd say you're going to be a Papa, but you already are," she offered him an endearing smile.
Halting his motions as he heeded her words and heeded them well, the woman would soon find her husband upon her. Wrapping his arms under and around her arms, he'd scoop her up into a strong hug as he held her in the air. He was speechless, extremely happy with their family.
Laughing out happily as the man rather easily snatched her up into a hug, Carina wrapped her arms to the man's neck as she pressed a kiss to his cheek. Feet dangling in a rather silly fashion, Carina patted a hand to Armont’s head, "let us head home, we've had enough adventure for one night! Though it was exciting, perhaps we should go adventure hunting more often?"
"Aye, we certainly have a weapon to finish. Just the two of us."

Hey everybody!
Wow, 70 new followers in a wEEK!!!  Welcome n00bs, I am glad you liked my... whatever vegetable brought you here.  With one exception, I’m guessing it wasn’t the cole slaw, lmao.
To everyone, this puts me close to a milestone, so... what should I do?  I am out of practice at art and not very good at fic, but I’d attempt either for one of you dears.  Could do a giveaway?  Let me know in comments or anon asks what sort of things you’d like (specifics, if it’s merch).  I’ll do a random pick thing.  Not much interest, then just a general gift creation for everyone.
Finally, I like to refresh you on who exactly you’re following once in a while, ‘cuz my approach to tumblr is maybe odd.  “mixed messages” sums it up:
you’ll get a mixture of positive and negative; wank, fluff, crack; like everybody.  My oddness is multiple and conflicting opinions on the same issues, as I rarely make up my mind.  This is a BBC Sherlock+Johnlock blog, with occasional hints of other pairings and adaptations, but never anything too shocking to the core ship.  No aesthetic boundaries and not much shame (as my self-PSBattle proved).  But, 99% sfw image-wise - only tasteful, borderline nsfw fanart might appear, and I think that’s happened exactly once.  I tag nsfw in any case.  To keep the noise down, I mostly reblog only to signal boost, to add something, or in certain irresistible cases: Martin Freeman, really interesting gifsets, and epic jokes.  Feel free to tag, message, anon ask, submit, etc. if you’d like me to see or share something - or just to chat!  And hijack my OPs any time to disagree.  I love a good debate or some concrit, seriously.  Hardly know most of you, but I hope that will change!  Sorry I can’t follow all of you back; I seem to lack the chill to deal with a dash of more than about 50 people.  I really admire those of you who can keep up with hundreds!
There’s not much personal stuff on here, that’s on other platforms.  I do have a baby politics side blog, @progressing-nowhere.  (It’s not always a happy place.)  Speaking of which, I’ll be using the #salt tag from now on for some of the good-natured spitballing that I used to call #wank.  Blacklist both if you want to see neither.  And yes, one of these days I’ll figure out how to make an /about so I can just link you to it when I do this.  *shrug*  Oh, and, I’ve got a hiatus coming up.  I’ll let you know when it begins.
Much love to all, glad to have you along!
