surf's up pt.1 ?? - kazuha + minju
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-this was originally meant to be a birthday fic for Minju but I couldn’t sit down and complete it so I incorporated one of my dirty thoughts into this fic. I’m not sure if people would like this as much as my mind did. threesome, creampie, nothing way too crazy, maybe a bit of overstimulation. please do tell me if this is straight trash, i’ll consider not writing a second pt to this.
-length: 2145 words
-minju, kazuha x male reader
The beach. The perfect place for just about anything. Surfing, picnics, volleyball, swimming, going on dates. That’s what made it your favorite haunt.
Just kidding.
You absolutely hated the beach. Especially sand. It’s coarse and it gets everywhere. The sun was a bane to your existence. The constant chaos of seagulls cawing, children screaming and the waves crashing just did not sit well in your mind at all. This was probably the first time since the pandemic that you’d come to any beach. You moved from your hometown to the city just a week ago and since your apartment was close to the beach, you figured why not got for a jog now that you were done unpacking everything into the new residence and get to know your environment a bit more.
Midway through your run, at a slightly more deserted area of the beach, you caught sight of two fine bodied female surfers. Both of them were dressed in one piece singlet swimsuits that accentuated their lovely figure. The one on the left was a tall slender bodied woman that had a body to die for. Her abs were well toned and her arm muscles were extremely defined. But what caught your eye the most was her legs, they were long, sleek and slender with thighs that you wanted to wear as a scarf. They led your eyes up to her cute perky ass that was asking to be spanked. The woman on the right was a bit bustier. The swimsuit accentuated this fact by hugging her chest tight and exposing her buttcheeks to the world. As you were admiring the sight before your eyes, the whole world suddenly started to fall as the two vixen faded away from you into the darkness.
.
.
.
“Is he awake?”
The warmest, gentlest voice brings you back to earth. Opening your eyes, you’re greeted by the same two damsels that you were admiring before ending up in what seemed like a small foresty area by the shoreline, laying on a sky blue beach mat with an ice packet to your head.
“Are you okay? You look like you took quite a fall back there.” It was the taller girl. Her doe eyes fluttered as she spoke to you, melting your heart as well as the stinging pain in your head.
What happened to me? Why am I here ? Why are you both so awfully perfect ? You had a million questions you wanted to ask.
“He looks okay.” said the shorter, bustier girl. “Or at least that’s what his little friend is trying to tell us.” Pointing down at your crotch, turning all attention to the bulge starting to form.
“Fufufu…guess it's time to get acquainted huh Minju.” says the taller girl, moving her hand down to your crotch and rubbing your cock through your pants.
“Take it easy Kazuha, you don’t want this poor guy fainting again.”
“Wha-” You’re cut off by Minju diving head first into a kiss. She smells absolutely divine, a mixture of ocean air and rose petals. Meanwhile, Kazuha is wiggling your troublesome clothes out of the way, and in a matter of seconds, you’re stark naked on the beach mat, visible to any fishing boat that may go by. The two girls gather at your cock and begin to shower it with their affection, arching their backs to show off their juicy hindparts.
“Gosh, who knew we’d be getting railed by such a monstrous thing today huh Minju”, Kazuha says while kissing the base of your cock, the warm air from her nostrils gently breezing against your skin, sending tingles up your spine. Minju is unable to answer, working her magic on your balls, taking one in her mouth at a time and covering it in her saliva. She gets to work first while Kazuha backs off to begin a deep makeout session with you, while your hands survey her specimen of a figure, admiring how toned yet delicate her muscles had developed. Meanwhile Minju is absolutely going to town on your cock, not even needing time to acclimate to how big your length was. She would bob her head down in a rhythmic manner, going down twice while looking at you lustfully before staying there, allowing your dick to take 2 seconds of rest before slowly detaching her mouth. Minju was also extremely skilled with her tongue. It snaked around your cock as she worked her magic, moving over your sensitive points as it disappeared and reappeared from her mouth. Soon, she got off and let Kazuha have her way with your throbbing erection.
Kazuha leaves a deep kiss at the tip of your cock, before taking your length in her mouth. She, unlike Minju, starts off safe, taking in no more than a fifth of your cock, then a quarter, then a half, until your whole length disappears into her mouth hitting the back of her throat, her lips touching the base of your cock. Her mouth is warm and snug, you could leave your dick in there for eternity. Then, Kazuha moves her head up and down furiously, never letting more than a quarter of your dick out of her mouth. You throw your head back in pleasure, Kazuha’s mouth was perfect, it was like it was molded just for taking your dick in. Meanwhile, you begin tearing off the swimsuit that Minju was wearing, kneading her sizable tits and squeezing her juicy ass and smacking it while making out intensely with her, earning a few moans that escaped from Minju’s mouth. Sensing that you were about to cum, you stand up and grab onto the sides of Kazuha’s head and begin facefucking her. She maintains eye contact with you as you continuously thrust your length deep within her sinful abyss with eyes that begged you to abandon life and surrender to her. Soon, your cock could not take it anymore.
“Fuck! Kazuha!”
You cum right into Kazuha’s mouth and she tries to take it all, but there’s just too much and it starts to overflow as you withdraw your length from her mouth. Minju instinctively knows what to do, licking the cum around her mouth, cleaning it up. Kazuha opens her mouth to show how much you’ve let loose within her, before swallowing it in one gulp and sticking her tongue out again to show you that she ingested it all.
Consumed by lust, Kazuha pounces onto you, pinning you down onto the beach mat. Your lips crash against hers as you start to lose yourself in the hot and passionate kiss as your hands work to peel her annoying swimsuit away. Soon, her bare body was right on top of your own, both her legs on your sides, her textured abdominal muscles on top of your own, her breasts pressed against yours, her arms wrapped around your neck as beads of sweat start to collect on both your bodies and her dripping shaved pussy touching your ever hard cock, just waiting to be destroyed by the latter. Your hands work to squeeze and slap those juicy butt cheeks that you were admiring before. You position your cock with Kazuha’s pussy and press her down on it, slowly moving your entire length inside of her. Kazuha then lets out a loud moan once the whole thing is inside.
“Fuck! You’re so big, you’re gonna break my pussy…”
Minju, not wanting to be left out, climbs on top of you, sitting on your face, demanding to be eaten out. At this moment, you’d die to see what kind of sexual artwork the three of you were making. But that wasn’t to say your view beneath Minju’s lewd body wasn’t visually appetizing. From beneath you could admire Minju’s perfectly sized tits, swaying from left to right as she rided on your face as well as a close up of her picture perfect pussy whose scent you could not get enough of.
In the meantime, Kazuha was having the time of her life, bouncing up and down on your cock. Her pussy was really tight. Every hip movement she made brought so much pleasure to your mind that it was numbing. The only sounds you could hear at the beach were the moans of the two girls on top of you, the slapping of Kazuha’s bubble butt onto your pelvis and the crashing of the waves against the shore.
“Shit! I’m about to cum!” Minju arches her back and squeals as a hot wave of her girl juice gushes out of her pussy, coating your face in her slick. She wasn’t the only one about to cum though. Moving Minju to the side, you sit up and reverse the positions you and Kazuha were in, pinning her arms above her head to restrict her movement. She squirms beneath you as you push her legs up to her chest, moving into the missionary position for even deeper thrusts. You nuzzle your neck into hers, devouring her sweat-filled scent as you fucked her senseless, her moans getting louder and more frequent as you upped the pace of your thrusts.
“Fuck you’re gonna make me lose my mind…Fuck…FUCCCKKK!!!” Kazuha screams, her eyes rolling back to her head as she reaches her own high. Her pussy clenches even tighter around your cock and her back arches to acclimate to the pleasure, causing you to reach your own breaking point, releasing spurt after spurt of sticky white stuff into her swollen pussy. You pull your cock out, to see a small river of yours and Kazuha’s byproducts flow out of her filled pussy. Kazuha is absolutely spent, panting relentlessly as she mutters “so good…so warm…” over and over, showing how you absolutely broke the girl.
“Hope you didn’t forget about me.” says Minju, as she places Kazuha to the side and pins you down.
“I want you to fucking pour whatever’s left inside me. Fill me up to the brim. Fuck me like the slut I am” she whispers into your ear.
Her words are lewd and arousing, consuming you in yet another wave of lust. You hug onto Minju’s busty body tightly and without wasting another second, furiously fuck her like you were both animals in heat. If somebody were to walk by, you definitely wouldn’t pull out of her and would continue fucking her relentlessly. Minju’s eyes roll to the back of her head, her mind absolutely overwhelmed by pleasure. Her fingers dug deep into your shoulders, grabbing onto them for stability and to try and reassemble her lost sanity. Too consumed by passion to stop and get her to loosen up, you fuck her even harder and faster, her words resonating within your mind. Pour whatever’s left inside me. Fill me… like the slut I am. You lean into Minju and get a good whiff of her scent. She no longer smells like the ocean and roses. She now smells like sweat and sex. Freeing a hand from your deep embrace, you reach down and squeeze a buttcheek, slapping it. Then, you had an absolutely dirty idea. Using your middle finger, you feel around for her asshole and insert your finger inside. Minju, completely unexpecting of your lewd action, screams in overstimulation. Her hips buckle as she squirts a geyser of her cum for the second time. Her head drops onto your shoulder as you continue railing her limp body, wanting to fulfill her wishes. With one final push and a low growl, you release all you had into her slutty pussy. Wave after wave of your cum flows into her. Even after you pulled out you were still shooting some cum onto her midriff.
“Shit that was amazing…Maybe I should take the “scenic” route more…” you say as you slump in between Minju and Kazuha’s sleeping bodies, of which you had done an absolute number to.
HONKKKKKKKK
You are awakened from your slumber by the loud blow of a ship's horn, seemingly scolding you for doing such a sinful deed under the sky where anybody could see. Kazuha and Minju are up as well, getting changed and preparing to leave.
“That was the best fuck we’ve both had ever in our lives. Here’s our numbers. We live not too far from here. When you want to have a bit of fun, call us and we’ll be right over.” Minju says with a tinge of lust in her voice, handing you a small sheet of paper with both their numbers and names. She leans in and whispers in your ear, “Maybe you can call only me and use me as your personal cumdump.”
“Ya! Don’t leave me alone!” Kazuha exclaims in rebuttal, shoving the shorter girl gently. She tiptoes and pecks you on the lips before winking at you and leaving.
You glance down at the paper. You were definitely enjoying moving into your new home.

Sooo I know I disappeared for a bit again, but this time I was basically doing my own shonen protagonist training arc - been consuming a TON of tutorials and practicing in general, only a few of them are even remotely worth sharing, like this one! I'm not very happy with it, but at the same time, I put in too much effort to let it go to waste so I thought, why not attach a drabble with this because I need to practice my writing alongside my art too..
And so here's a short story of sorts that would take place in the prologue (it won't be exactly like this in-game since I'll have choices and variations to incorporate) hope you enjoy!
"Would you like to dance?"
You look at Lucien as if he's grown an extra head, as he extends his hand to you, waiting. The two of you were taking a stroll in his gardens after dinner, and you were in-between feeling at peace in the environment, and incredibly nervous as you were walking alongside Lucien Lockhart, trying to wrap your head around the fact that he was no longer just your favorite character beyond a screen, he was living, breathing, right next to you, you.
You were quietly taking in the foliage under the moonlight, reveling in the novelty of it, never having had the chance to see such a gorgeous garden at night (but really, everything was new when you were in an entirely different world) when he sprung the question on you.
You could feel his quiet amusement to your reaction, as you stare holes into the palm of his hand, wondering if it was worth taking it, to risk making a completely fool out of yourself in the process, in front of him, and so soon after meeting him? No, you couldn't-
"You are always welcome to say no, please don't feel pressured to do anything you don't want to."
Doesn't that just lay on the pressure even more!? But as you look at him and his gentle expression, like you could do no wrong, it felt easier to go along with it. And the moment you placed your hand in his, you felt it was the right choice seeing his face light up from that action alone.
He gently pulls you into position, one hand still holding yours, the other on your waist. He looked for all the world, content, as if it was enough for him just to hold you, have you near. He gives you one last questioning look, silently asking if it's alright to keep going. You can't back out now; you give him a nod, not trusting your voice.
It took all of 2 seconds to step on his foot. Oh this was a terrible idea what were you thinking-
You were brought out of your down-spiral by the sound of your name, prompting you to look up, at his face, his ever present smile when he's near you, immediately providing you with reassurance.
"Don't overthink it, just trust me."
Trust him.
Wasn't that a lot to ask from someone who's practically a stranger? But then again, maybe you weren't. After all, the two of you knew about the other this whole time, when you assumed it was a one-way street. In fact, you think he knows you better (knows you well, too well) than most of the people in your life. You could see it in all the little considerations he made for you in your short time together.
So you couldn't help but want to trust him.
You take a deep breath to ground yourself, and as you do, you could hear music drifting in the air, faint, but present. It was from the musicians Lucien had hired to play during dinner (to welcome you, he explained, when you said it was a bit too much fanfare for someone like you. He promises the next dinner onward would be simpler, for you. You couldn't help but feel a little wonder, at the assured promise of future dinners spent together, like it was only natural.)
So they were still playing, you hadn't noticed from your nervousness, but it made it feel a little less awkward to have some music to dance to.
You set your shoulders, resolute, as you gaze back at Lucien. He gives you a knowing smile, and begins to move again.
Trust him.
And so you do. You let yourself loosen up, trusting him to lead, to go where he pushed and pulled. It takes a moment, but soon the two of you fall into a rhythm, dancing to the music, and soon everything else fell away. You couldn't help the smile that tugged at your lips; you were doing it, you were dancing! And when Lucien smiles back at you, eyes filled with nothing but pride and admiration for you, you could feel happiness swell from within you.
"I'm going to spin you, ok?"
The next moment, he gently pulls your arm up and leads you in a twirl, and you couldn't help but feel a little silly(a little giddy) as you enact a scene you could only imagine before.
"Once more"
That was all the warning you get when this time, he lets go of your hand to instead place both on your waist. You couldn't help the gasp ripped out of you when he lifts you for a spin, impossibly stronger than he appeared, but soon devolved into delighted laughter as you grab his shoulders, weightless in the air.
You've never felt freer than you did at this moment.

E-I GMO Department:
The legalities are left as an exercise for the student.
JACK AND THE BEANSTALKS © 2024 by Rick Hutchins
“Does it have cancer?” asked his mother warily. It was the strangest damn cow she had ever seen.
“No, no, it’s perfectly healthy,” said Jack. “Although I did incorporate segments of DNA sequences from cancer cells to promote rapid growth.”
She leaned forward slightly; she wanted to get a better look at the beast, but hesitated to get too close. It gazed back at her placidly, chewing its cud. Jack took her by the arm and gently led her closer.
“It’s not going to bite you,” he chuckled.
Standing in the middle of the pasture, grazing peacefully, the cow was a mostly ordinary Hereford heifer, except for the rows of bulbous growths along its sides. Each growth was the approximate size and shape of an apple, and was connected to the animal by a thin tube of flesh a couple of inches long. There were two rows of six on each side.
“Here, check it out,” he said.
He plucked one of the bulbs off the side of the heifer and tossed it to his mother; she caught it reflexively.
“Ewww!” she cried, throwing it away. “That’s gross!”
Jack laughed as he recovered the fleshy lump from the tall grass. “It’s not gross,” he said. “It’s meat. Grade A-Plus, ultralean, prime American beef, to be exact.”
“It’s edible?”
“That’s the whole point. One of these bulbs, when picked, will grow back in just about eight hours. Old Bossy here will produce the same amount of beef in one week as a typical slaughtered cow. Using these animals, farms will be able to produce many times the meat at a fraction of the cost.”
“It seems kind of cruel.”
“As cruel as killing them?” asked Jack. “Here, watch this.” He plucked off another bulb with a quick tug and the cow lowed softly, turning her head to look at him. “I wired the nerve endings in the bulb to the pleasure center of the brain. Breaking the connection produces a low-level erotic surge, kind of like nipple tweaking.”
She gave him a dirty look.
He shrugged. “Well, the animal rights groups will have nothing to complain about.”
“But how long does it take to breed cows like this?”
“They don’t have to be bred. The changes were written to their existing genetic code by a virus I engineered and released into the environment. Within two years, every bovine on the planet will have the necessary chromosomal alterations.”
“You did what?!”
“It’s perfectly safe. I programmed in telomeric obsolescence. The virus will be extinct in three years.”
“But how will we profit from this if you gave it away?”
Jack waved his hand toward the North forty, where row upon row of green bean vines grew on poles. “The new gene sequences are encrypted and can only be unlocked with a proprietary enzyme that is found exclusively in those genetically engineered green beans, which I hold the patent to.”
“You mean..?”
Jack nodded. “I gave away the cow,” he said, “but the magic beans will make us billionaires.”

I have a question I hope you might expound upon. I have been meditating and at first it was amazing. I’ve always done guided meditations to help with sleep and pain, but these meditations started affecting me in my thinking and life, even in profound ways. I actually felt so at peace and at one with the world, and felt that most of my possessions were not all that important that the feeling of oneness in some way extended to the person who has been, and continued to steal from me for 11 years. I felt clarity of mind and a peacefulness I’ve never felt before. Then — and I imagine this is the egoic mind resetting itself — my mind became so powerful it was always thinking. Not just when I was trying to meditate, but literally All. The. Time. It’s hard for me to focus on anything because my mind is always inserting itself with its own thoughts. And when I try to meditate? It goes on hyper drive. I see it as a child given boundaries who suddenly needs to break all those boundaries, except it’s my own mind and I don’t know how to control it! I very much want to grow in meditating. It was helping me so much and I need that more than ever now. I don’t want a quick fix, I want a lifetime practice. Do you think you might write something about how to get through this stage? If it’s not too much trouble?
Good on you for the efforts. Meditation can be quite difficult at times, especially when you’re starting to do so in a regular manner. But it’s a skill, and like any skill it will improve with time, effort and consistency.
Meditating does so much, from a psychological and physical standpoint, that the experiences that arise from it can be incredibly intense and almost overwhelming at times, both in terms of your usual mental/emotional responses as well as your energetic system.
Meditation challenges fixed identity structures. It does so continuously, throughout all levels of practice, but when you first begin it does so in a more psychological manner. When you begin to look at your own processes, at the workings of your own mind (and bodily processes), it can seem for awhile like things are getting worse rather than better, like your mind is suddenly getting more noisy, more chaotic. But the truth is far more alarming: what’s actually happening is that you are really, for the first time, actually attending to what was already happening. All that babbling mental chatter and chaos has always been there; you’ve just never noticed it so directly before because it was simply part of the “background noise” of your life. You stopped attending to it the way we stop hearing traffic sounds when living near a busy street. But it was always there.
So noticing is the first step. The point is to gently but deliberately persist, to continue looking in an impartial sort of way, objectifying the contents of your internal experience rather than reflexively assuming them to be something that you are “doing,” paying more attention to the processes by which these thoughts and feelings arise, their patterns and dynamics, rather than following (and identifying with) their stories, as we are habitually oriented towards.
Sometimes the “story” is important because it can point to places where we are hanging onto the past in an unhealthy way. This sort of meditation can be tricky, though, as it is often quite difficult to look at, much less see, your own shadows. Therapeutic psychology works by helping people look at, and see, these “outdated self-stories” in a safe environment, and teaches how to work with them in positive, productive and healing way, essentially helping to change these old stories out for new ones better suited for living with less stress, anxiety and depression. And frankly, in my opinion, almost everyone can benefit from some basic therapy, because we all carry old memories and psychic scars that we have incorporated into our self-story, and that continue to harm us in different ways.
But meditation approaches this “problem” from a completely different angle. Instead of helping to heal and straighten out the knots in the psychological sense of self, it seeks to bypass these altogether by focusing on and becoming familiar with the processes by which such thoughts and feelings arise—rather than their content. In so doing, over time, it demonstrates (via direct and immediate experience) how this entire sense of self is a “false” one, in effect an illusion woven by habitual and largely unconscious brain processes. It’s a referential habit. It’s memory combined with sensory input, so it’s as thin and ephemeral as thought itself, rather than being anything that needs to be measured and defended. This is a brain that has been shaped by all the stories feed into it, stories about what it means to be a “this” or a “that,” stories about what to desire and what to fear, stories about “who I am” and even “what is real.” We’ve inherited these ideas and incorporated them into our brains and convinced ourselves that these are, indeed, who we are, or should be. Meditation helps to see through this illusion by clearly revealing this ephemerality. Thus it helps to reveal the true living being—less all these concepts—that a person really is.
Another thing that can occur in early stages of practice is that some of these old traumas, which were originally buried under defense mechanisms because we were unable to process them when they initially occurred, can arise again in the newly discovered “space” which formal sitting practice occasions, leading to resistance and reactive fear responses, to anxiety and other behavioral problems. This is when a spiritual teacher/friend/guru/mentor really comes into play, helping the meditator understand and break through the fears and delusions that may arise as a “side-effect” of this dissolution of the egoic identity.
Anyway, as is obvious, this is a very complicated topic—more than can be properly expressed in this sort of format. If you plan on continuing, I suggest you find some good basic meditation manuals or audiobooks, and perhaps check out some of the many offerings on YouTube. There is a ton of information available on this topic, and the more you study and research the easier and more productive your practice will become. Initially, diversity is probably a good idea since there are so many different perspectives and approaches. You need not overly concern yourself with any sort of cultural or religious trappings; just absorb the relevant information. (btw: for a more “Western,” psychologically based approach to meditation, I suggest looking into The Diamond Approach, a comprehensive modern system by A. H. Almaas.) Eventually, however, you will want to find a specific system that appeals to you personally, and stick with it for awhile. Meditation is a skill, like learning to play a musical instrument, and like all such skills it requires a degree of devotion, perseverance and development. Ultimately, you get out of it what you put into it.

Enhancing Learning with Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques in Tuition
Tumblr media
Cultivating a Calm and Focused Learning Environment
In today's fast-paced world, students often find themselves overwhelmed by academic pressures, leading to stress, anxiety, and burnout. As educators, it's crucial to recognize the importance of not only imparting knowledge but also nurturing the holistic well-being of our students. One effective way to achieve this is by incorporating mindfulness and relaxation techniques into tuition sessions. By creating a calm and focused learning environment, we can enhance students' cognitive abilities, improve academic performance, and foster a positive attitude towards learning.
Understanding Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques
Before delving into how to integrate mindfulness and relaxation techniques into tuition, let's first understand what these practices entail. Mindfulness involves being fully present in the moment, observing thoughts and sensations without judgment. It encourages students to cultivate awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and surroundings, promoting mental clarity and emotional resilience.
On the other hand, relaxation techniques aim to reduce stress and induce a state of calmness. These may include deep breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, or simple stretching routines. By engaging in relaxation practices, students can alleviate tension, improve concentration, and enhance overall well-being.
Creating a Mindful Learning Environment
One of the fundamental aspects of incorporating mindfulness into tuition is creating a conducive learning environment that promotes focus and relaxation. Begin each session by inviting students to take a few moments to center themselves through deep breathing or mindfulness exercises. Encourage them to let go of any distractions or worries, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the learning process.
Additionally, consider incorporating elements of mindfulness throughout the tuition session. Introduce short mindfulness activities, such as mindful listening or body scans, to help students cultivate present-moment awareness. These practices can help students become more attentive, engaged, and receptive to new information.
Integrating Relaxation Breaks
Incorporating regular relaxation breaks into tuition sessions can also significantly benefit students' well-being and academic performance. Schedule brief intervals during the session for students to engage in relaxation exercises or activities. This could involve guiding students through progressive muscle relaxation techniques, leading them in brief guided meditations, or encouraging them to practice deep breathing exercises.
These relaxation breaks not only provide students with an opportunity to release tension and recharge but also help prevent mental fatigue and burnout. By incorporating these moments of relaxation, tutors can create a balanced learning experience that prioritizes both academic achievement and emotional well-being.
Promoting Self-Reflection and Awareness
Encourage students to cultivate self-awareness and reflection by incorporating mindfulness practices into homework assignments or study sessions. Encourage them to take moments of pause during their independent study time to check in with themselves, notice any distractions or negative thought patterns, and gently redirect their focus back to the task at hand.
Moreover, encourage students to reflect on how mindfulness and relaxation techniques impact their learning experience. Encourage open dialogue and feedback, allowing students to share their insights, challenges, and observations. By fostering a culture of self-awareness and reflection, tutors can empower students to take ownership of their learning journey and develop lifelong skills for managing stress and enhancing well-being.

Baby Talk Bliss: Exercises to Help Your Little One's Language Soar
The gurgle, the coo, the giggle - there's nothing quite like the music of a baby's early vocalizations. While these pre-verbal melodies may sound like nonsensical gibberish to adult ears, they're actually the building blocks of language development. And, just like any skill, fostering your baby's early communication requires nurturing and practice. This is where exercises to help baby talk come in!
Before we delve into specific exercises, let's unpack the magic of baby talk. It's more than just simplified words and cooing sounds. It's a deliberate exchange, a playful dance of exaggerated pronunciations, melodic intonation, and responsive communication. By engaging in baby talk, you're not just talking to your baby, you're orchestrating a symphony of development:
Brain Boost: The rhythmic patterns and exaggerated sounds of baby talk stimulate crucial brain areas responsible for auditory processing, language learning, and social interaction.
Bonding Bonanza: Baby talk creates a warm and engaging atmosphere, strengthening the emotional bond between parent and child. This positive association with communication makes learning even more enjoyable.
Building Blocks: By echoing and expanding on your baby's vocalizations, you're providing them with concrete examples of how communication works, laying the foundation for their own speech development.
Now, let's get practical! Here are 10 fun and effective exercises to help baby talk:
1. Mirror, Mirror on the Wall: Engage in face-to-face interaction, mimicking your baby's sounds and facial expressions. This mirroring game not only encourages vocalization but also teaches them about turn-taking and social cues.
2. Sing a Silly Song: Nursery rhymes and simple songs are treasure troves of rhythmic language and catchy melodies. Sing with gusto, using exaggerated pitch and facial expressions to captivate your little one.
3. Read, Read, Read: Story time is more than just a bonding experience. Choose colorful picture books and narrate them in a lively voice, pausing to point out familiar objects and ask simple questions.
4. Play Peek-a-Boo: This classic game isn't just fun, it's a goldmine for language development. As you disappear and reappear, use vocal cues like "Where'd I go?" and "Boo!" to encourage your baby's responses.
5. Tickle Time: Laughter is a powerful motivator! Gently tickle your baby, narrating your actions with playful sounds and rhymes. Their delighted squeals and giggles are their way of communicating back.
6. Sensory Safari: Explore the world around you through touch, taste, and smell. As you introduce new textures, flavors, and aromas, describe them in simple terms, encouraging your baby to vocalize their own reactions.
7. Puppet Power: Puppets are magical creatures that bring stories to life. Use them to have mini-conversations with your baby, changing your voice and expressions for each character.
8. Bubble Bonanza: Who can resist the joy of bubbles? Blowing bubbles and chasing them is not just great exercise, it's a language opportunity. Describe the bubbles' movement, their colors, and the popping sounds they make.
9. Bathtime Babble: Bath time is a relaxed and fun environment for communication. Sing songs, splash the water, and narrate your activities. The warm water and playful atmosphere often encourage vocalization.
10. Treasure Hunt: Hide your baby's favorite toys and encourage them to search for them with verbal clues like "Hot" or "Cold." This fun game teaches object identification and encourages communication through playful commands and excited vocalizations.
Remember, consistency is key when it comes to these exercises. Make baby talk a part of your daily routine, incorporating it into everyday activities like feeding, dressing, and playing. The more you talk, the more your baby will listen and respond, eventually forming their own beautiful melodies of words.
Beyond these specific exercises, remember:
Follow your baby's lead: Pay attention to their cues and interests. Choose activities they enjoy and adjust the level of complexity to their developmental stage.
Positive reinforcement is everything: Celebrate your baby's attempts at communication, no matter how simple. A smile, a clap, or an excited "Yes!" goes a long way in encouraging further communication.
Embrace the journey: Language development is a natural process, but it happens at different paces for different babies. Be patient, supportive, and most importantly, have fun!
Turn bath time into babble time: Splash, sing, and play with bubbles while narrating your actions.
With a playful spirit and these engaging exercises, you can turn everyday moments into language-learning adventures for your little one. Remember, the key is consistency and fun! Here are some additional tips to keep in mind:
Tailor It To Your Tot: Every baby is unique, so adjust the complexity of the exercises to match their developmental stage. For newborns and infants, focus on simple vocalizations, exaggerated facial expressions, and rhythmic sounds. As your baby grows, introduce more complex words, short phrases, and interactive games.
Make It a Multisensory Experience: Engage your baby's senses beyond just hearing. Use colorful visuals like picture books and puppets, add touch through sensory toys and tickles, and explore different smells and tastes during mealtimes. The more multisensory the experience, the more engaging it will be for your little learner.
Don't Forget About Technology: While nothing can replace face-to-face interaction, educational apps and videos can be helpful supplements. Choose age-appropriate programs with catchy music, colorful animations, and simple language activities. Remember, screen time should be limited and always supervised.
Embrace the Messy Magic: Don't worry about being perfect! Baby talk is all about playful interaction and connection. Laugh together, make silly noises, and enjoy the messy, joyful process of communication. Your enthusiasm and positive reinforcement will create a fun and encouraging environment for your baby to thrive.
Remember, You're Not Alone: If you have any concerns about your baby's language development, don't hesitate to reach out to your pediatrician or a speech-language pathologist. They can provide valuable guidance and support to ensure your little one is on the right track.
As your baby's first language teacher, you have the power to unlock a world of communication and creativity. By incorporating these exercises to help baby talk, you're laying the foundation for a lifetime of happy conversations and meaningful connections
By incorporating these simple tips and fun exercises into your daily routine, you'll be nurturing your baby's language development in the most natural and enjoyable way possible. Remember, baby talk is more than just silly sounds; it's the foundation for a lifetime of communication and connection. So, put on your silly voice, grab your favorite book, and get ready to embark on the magical journey of language learning with your little one!

Detoxification: Unmasking the Inner Cleanse for Optimal Health and Well-being
Imagine your body as a bustling city, a vibrant hub of activity where life unfolds amidst the constant ebb and flow. But just like any metropolis, yours accumulates a fair share of byproducts and pollutants – the inevitable leftovers of daily living. This is where the concept of detoxification takes center stage, offering a chance to hit the reset button and refresh your internal landscape for optimal health and well-being.
Tumblr media
But what exactly is detoxification? Is it a fad, a fleeting trend, or a genuine pathway to enhanced vitality? Let's embark on a journey to unmask the inner cleanse, exploring its significance and potential benefits for your mind, body, and spirit.
1. The Silent Toxin Buildup:
Our modern world is a veritable cocktail of toxins. From the air we breathe and the food we eat to the products we use, we're constantly exposed to environmental pollutants, heavy metals, chemicals, and processed foods. These unwanted guests, if left unchecked, can accumulate in our bodies, potentially impacting our health in various ways.
Think of these toxins as microscopic troublemakers, clogging up your internal systems and hindering their optimal function. They can disrupt digestion, compromise immunity, trigger allergies, and even contribute to chronic diseases like cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
2. The Detoxification Imperative:
Detoxification, then, becomes the counterpoint to this silent toxin buildup. It's the practice of promoting the body's natural cleansing mechanisms and facilitating the removal of accumulated toxins through various pathways. This isn't about overnight miracles or unrealistic transformations; it's about creating a supportive environment for your body to do what it knows best – cleanse, renew, and thrive.
Imagine detoxification as a spring cleaning for your internal city. By focusing on healthy habits and natural solutions, you can open the windows, sweep away the dust, and let the fresh air of vitality seep in.
3. The Detoxification Toolbox:
The good news is that detoxification isn't some esoteric practice requiring access to rare herbs or expensive cleanses. It's about embracing a holistic approach that incorporates readily available tools into your daily life. Here are some key players in the detoxification toolbox:
Dietary Choices: Prioritize fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, opting for organic produce whenever possible. These dietary powerhouses are brimming with fiber, antioxidants, and essential nutrients that aid in natural detoxification processes.
Hydration Hero: Water is your body's ultimate cleansing agent. Adequate water intake promotes flushing out toxins through urine and sweat, keeping your internal systems running smoothly.
Movement Matters: Exercise gets your blood pumping and lymph flowing, aiding in the efficient removal of toxins. Choose activities you enjoy, whether it's brisk walking, dancing, or yoga.
Liver Love: Your liver is your body's detoxification champion. Support its function by limiting alcohol consumption, avoiding processed foods, and incorporating liver-friendly foods like turmeric and cruciferous vegetables.
Sleep Sanctuary: Prioritize quality sleep, as this is when your body repairs and detoxifies most effectively. Create a relaxing bedtime routine and aim for 7-8 hours of restful sleep each night.
4. Pure Body Extra: Your Detox Ally:
While these foundational practices form the backbone of detoxification, consider including Pure Body Extra by Touchstone Essentials as your trusted ally in this journey. This unique blend of natural ingredients, including zeolite, activated charcoal, and other detoxification powerhouses, provides targeted support for your body's cleansing mechanisms.
Pure Body Extra acts like a microscopic magnet, attracting and safely binding to toxins before gently ushering them out of your system. It effectively tackles a wide range of harmful substances, including:
Heavy metals: Lead, mercury, and arsenic find their match in Pure Body Extra's zeolite component, effectively reducing their absorption and promoting their elimination.
Environmental pollutants: Activated charcoal, another key ingredient, binds to harmful chemicals and toxins from air, food, and water, preventing them from wreaking havoc on your health.
Free radicals: These damaging molecules accelerate aging and contribute to chronic diseases. Pure Body Extra's antioxidant-rich ingredients neutralize free radicals, protecting your cells from oxidative stress.
Tumblr media
By incorporating Pure Body Extra into your detoxification routine, you can empower your body's natural cleansing abilities and potentially experience a range of benefits, including:
Increased energy and vitality: As toxins are removed, your body can function more efficiently, leading to enhanced energy levels and a renewed sense of well-being.
Improved digestion and detoxification: Pure Body Extra supports healthy gut function and promotes the removal of accumulated waste, optimizing your internal cleansing processes.
Enhanced immune function: By reducing the burden of toxins on your system, Pure Body Extra can potentially strengthen your immune defenses and make you more resilient to illness

Carpet Cleaning Hacks: Geelong Edition for Quick and Effective Results
Tumblr media
Maintaining clean carpets is essential for a healthy and inviting home environment. Geelong residents, like anyone else, face the challenge of keeping their carpets spotless. Fortunately, with the right hacks, you can achieve quick and effective results without the need for professional help. In this article, we'll explore some expert carpet cleaning tips specifically tailored for Geelong homes.
1. Prevention is Key
Before diving into cleaning hacks, consider preventive measures. Placing doormats at entrances and encouraging a 'no shoes' policy indoors can significantly reduce the amount of dirt and debris brought into your home. This simple step goes a long way in keeping your carpets cleaner for a more extended period.
2. Baking Soda Magic
Baking soda is a versatile and cost-effective cleaning agent. Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda on your carpet and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. This helps absorb odors and loosens dirt. Vacuum thoroughly afterward for a refreshed and clean carpet.
3. DIY Carpet Cleaner Solution
Create an effective DIY carpet cleaner by mixing equal parts white vinegar and water. Apply the solution to stains and blot with a clean cloth. The acidity of the vinegar helps break down stains, leaving your carpet looking as good as new. Ensure you test the solution on a small, inconspicuous area first to avoid any potential discoloration.
4. The Power of Club Soda
Club soda is a secret weapon against stubborn stains like red wine or coffee. Pour a small amount of club soda on the stain, blotting with a clean cloth. The carbonation helps lift the stain to the surface, making it easier to clean. Finish by blotting with a mixture of water and a mild detergent.
5. Freeze Gum Away
Accidentally stepped on chewing gum? Don't worry! Grab an ice cube and freeze the gum for about 30 seconds. Once frozen, gently lift the gum with a spoon or knife. This prevents the gum from smearing and minimizes damage to your carpet fibers.
6. Regular Vacuuming Routine
Regular vacuuming is crucial in preventing dirt buildup and maintaining a clean carpet. Invest in a high-quality vacuum cleaner and vacuum at least once a week. Pay extra attention to high-traffic areas and use nozzle attachments for edges and corners.
Now that you're armed with these Geelong-specific carpet cleaning hacks, it's time to put them into action and transform your living space. A clean and well-maintained carpet not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of your home but also contributes to a healthier living environment.
Remember, consistency is key. Incorporate these hacks into your routine for long-lasting results. If you find yourself facing persistent or tough stains, don't hesitate to seek professional carpet cleaning services in Geelong for a thorough and deep clean.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Can I use these carpet cleaning hacks on all types of carpets? Yes, the majority of these hacks are suitable for various carpet types. However, it's advisable to test any cleaning solution in a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility.
Q2: How often should I clean my carpets using these hacks? For routine maintenance, aim to incorporate these hacks into your cleaning routine at least once a month. High-traffic areas may require more frequent attention.
Q3: Are there any alternatives to club soda for stain removal? In the absence of club soda, a mixture of mild detergent and water can be an effective alternative. Always blot and avoid rubbing to prevent spreading the stain.
Q4: Can I use these hacks on old and stubborn stains? While these hacks are effective for many stains, older and stubborn stains may require professional cleaning services. Consider consulting with a carpet cleaning expert for the best results.
Implementing these carpet cleaning hacks in your Geelong home will not only enhance the appearance of your carpets but also contribute to a healthier and more comfortable living space. Try them out and experience the satisfaction of a clean and refreshed home environment.

Practical Tips To Manage Anxiety
Tumblr media
Anxiety is a natural response to stress, but when it becomes overwhelming or chronic it can significantly impact your daily live. I have had the pleasure of working with individuals living with anxiety; here in this blog post, I share ways into manage it more effectively.
Understanding Anxiety
Anxiety can present itself in various forms, including excessive worry, restlessness, racing thoughts and physical symptoms. Anxiety often arises from perceived threats or fears in real or imaginary form – the good news is that anxiety is manageable with proper tools and strategies in place; with those in place you can regain control over your life again.
Practical tips to Manage Anxiety
Deep Breathing Exercises can be one of the simplest yet most effective strategies for combating anxiety. The key is not to breathe only when you are under pressure but to make it a habit to stop and breathe during the day: when you wake up, after brushing your teeth, before and after your meals. Not only does it calm your nervous system when you are under stress or in a crisis, but when it becomes a habit, it can also become a more automatic coping skill to help you become aware of and redirect your thoughts.
Exercise 1
Open your right hand with your fingers extended.
Begin by placing the index finger of your left hand at the base of your right thumb.
As you gently move your left index finger up along the outer edge of your right thumb, inhale deeply and slowly.
When you begin moving your left index finger down the inner side of your right thumb, exhale slowly and completely. Let’s begin-
Start with your thumb: Inhale as you slide your left index finger to the top of your thumb, then exhale as you move it down.
Inhale as you slide your left index finger to the top of your right index finger, then exhale as you move it down.
Inhale and slide to the top of the middle finger, then exhale as you move down.
Inhale and slide to the top of the ring finger, then exhale as you move down.
Last but not least, inhale and slide to the top of the pinky finger, then exhale as you move down.
Exercise 2
Find a quiet space, sit or lie comfortably, and take slow, deep breaths; inhale for four counts before holding and exhaling four times; repeat this pattern for several minutes for instantaneous relief from anxious moments.
Deep breathing regulates your body’s stress response system while offering instantaneous comfort during anxious times.
Mindfulness Meditation: Engaging in mindfulness practice can help keep you present and reduce the tendency to worry about the future or dwell on past events. Try beginning with short meditation sessions focusing on your breath or bodily sensations before gradually adding mindfulness into daily routines.
Grounding meditation enhances mindfulness, allowing you to become more attuned to your body and environment. This heightened awareness can improve your ability to make conscious choices and respond thoughtfully to various situations.
Progressive Muscle Relaxation:Anxiety often manifests physically. Progressive muscle relaxation involves tensing and relaxing various muscle groups in your body to increase awareness of physical sensations while decreasing tension.
Challenging Negative Thoughts: One key way anxiety manifests itself is through negative thought patterns. To combat them, challenge these negative thought patterns by asking yourself whether they’re grounded in facts or just fears; try reframing your ideas more rationally and realistically.
Reduce Caffeine and Sugar Intake:Caffeine and sugar may exacerbate anxiety symptoms, so consider decreasing their consumption if there is an apparent link between them and anxiety levels.
Engaging in Regular Physical Activity:Exercising regularly can significantly lower anxiety. Exercise releases endorphins, natural mood-boosters. Find an activity you enjoy – walking, swimming, yoga or dancing are great examples – and incorporate it into your schedule for maximum stress reduction.
Remember that managing anxiety is a journey and will require both effort and these tips to achieve. If it significantly interferes with your everyday life or you’re having trouble controlling it on your own, consider seeking professional support from a licensed mental health provider for additional help managing it on a more balanced and peaceful life path.

Note
I'm not sure if requests are open or not but can you possibly write hc's for milo gordie leon and piers about having a s/o who suffers from epilepsy maybe include their reaction to the first seizure they see, and things like how they handle when s/o starts to seize/show warning signs,
I only do 3 characters at a post so I am going to do Leon, Piers, and Milo since I have Pokemon Shield
(and mama Melany)
Also, I’m speaking and writing this from my perspective of helping my aunt who has seizures regularly and will be answering in what I do and other things that I’ve looked up or found that help, please let me know if I can make it better, thank you! <3 Be safe
Leon
Even though he is super directionally challenged, he is so very perceptive. He will be the first to notice when you are about to have a seizure.
The distant look in your eyes and the nonverbal responses when he asks if you are okay are always signs you’re about to go into one.
He’s by your side in an instant, holding the back of your head up steady while rubbing your arm.
“Hey, it’s okay Y/N… you’re okay.” He repeats this all through out it, steady and comforting.
When you blink back after a few moments, eyes bleary but answer softly back to him, he knows you’re okay and out of it.
Will immediately stop what he’s doing, be it in the middle of an interview or sees you go down in the stands, he is next to you to help you through it
Wont hesitate to absolutely eradicate any disrespectfully words or jokes towards you about your seizures
When you first went into one, he had not expected it.
The two of you were out having lunch together after Leon had invited you out for a date to get to know each other more closely. He had been persistent, always engaging you in small talk when you were at work at one of the local shoppes in Wyndon. Would offer to help in carrying heavier things to help you out, and to make your work load lighter.
You had been perfectly fine, sitting across from him eating lunch at a local restaurant that you favored, when you seemed to be staring off into the distance as he was talking.
When Leon saw your Gothita get destressed and practically climbed up on you, he knew something was wrong.
He was scared, and that was putting it lightly.
With Gothita surrounding you in her psychic powers she steadied your body and instructed Leon through her telepathy to hold your head straight to where you wouldn’t choke.
He frantically rubbed your arms, while looking for your distant eyes to come back to the cheery e/c he found so attractive.
When you started to move slowly on your own your eyes peered up at him, the distant look fading quickly.
“Mmm…? Leon?” You asked softly, trying to attempt to remember where you were and what happened.
“Y/N!” He replied a smile forming on his face, full of relief. “You’re okay, my God I was so worried, are you ok?”
“Mmmhmm… thanks to you and Gracey.” You replied with a soft smile, giving your pokemon a thankful expression, to which she cried in happiness as a reply.
“Let’s get you to the hospital, to at least get a look at you. Then I’ll make sure you get home okay.” Leon said as he helped you up with his strong arms, letting your body lean against him. “I never knew you had to deal with these. You’re so much stronger than I could ever be, Y/N.”
Your heart thudded in your chest, your stomach knotting up in that similar way it did when you would see him visit your work on his days off from the league. Most people would be so scared and standoffish, more afraid of you than anything. See you as someone that needed to be fixed, someone that was fragile, and needed to be looked after like a child.
But Leon? He shown genuine kindness, he didn’t make you out to be this weak person who had epileptic seizures. He treated you with respect. As an equal.
You were strong, something that you did not hear often in your life.
You gave a small laugh, and peered up at him, your e/c eyes shining against the streetlights. “Is it too late to ask you for a second date?”
Leon’s cheeks uncharacteristically burned a deeper red and low chuckle came from his throat. “Not at all.”
Piers
There’s not many times he’s serious, but when it comes to you, he is stone cold serious.
Will constantly ask you if you’re okay if you seem more nervous or shakier than usual.
Always holds your hand when you’re feeling more shaky, will go into any quieter space to get you to a safer environment just in case
Even though his shows can be flashy and loud, he really prefers that you stay home or listen to CD’s of the shows of his that are flashier and with more lights. He’s talked to his producers about incorporating more epilepsy friendly aspects into his shows and videos so that more people can enjoy it safely.
On the times that you do watch him, he makes sure that the place is better lit, and no strobing lights.
Will rub the top of your head softly when you go into one, and holds you to where you wont hurt yourself during it.
He knew you had them, but you said that it was less common these days. So he thought that it would most likely be a while before you had one.
The first time you had a seizure in front of him, he was terrified and confused on what to do.
You were sitting beside him, listening to him strum on his guitar as try to work out the sound to his new song.
Your Kirlia sat beside you, listening too.
When he looked up from the strings and papers he had scattered around him, rewriting certain parts he paled.
Your arms were shaking as you began to fall backwards rather quickly. Luckily your Kirlia predicted this and carefully grabbed your shoulders and placed you on your side.
Kirlia’s eyes rose to Piers and she instructed him to gently rub at your arms as she used her abilities to work on the overfiring electrical impulses your brain was having.
Piers scanned your body frantically, your twitching limbs and far off stare causing his heart to race in nervousness. He didn’t know what to do, but hoped that what he was doing helped in some way.
Your Kirlia called softly as your twitching began to stop and your eyes regained their soft e/c hue. You hummed a little as you blinked back the glaze over your eyes.
“Y/N, hey… are you with me?” Piers asked, eyebrows knitted together, refusing to leave your side.
You gave him a confused stare and nodded slowly. “Yes…what…?”
Your Kirlia touched your forehead and you understood.
“Thank you… for helping me, Piers.” You patted your Kirlia’s hand greatfully. “And you too Meena, you did amazing.”
From then on Piers was sure to be more observant and learn about how to be better prepared for the next attack. The zigzagoon brigade are always alert and ready to go into pillow mode to help you not hit your head or hurt yourself.
Milo
The absolute best at making sure that you are taking you meds and taking care of yourself
Always tries to make sure that you have enough time to get enough sleep and goes to bed at the same time as you to help make it easier
He’s used to dealing and helping new gym challengers that have anxiety problems, so he knows how to relax you and help manage your stress
Being as strong as he is, it’s nothing for him to grab you when your legs give out when you go into one, making sure that you are laid down on your side safely
His big hands will make soothing touches and coax you through it, making sure everyone around you is quiet so you’re not overwhelmed with voices around you
If you ever feel bad about having them, he is so quick to reassure you that it is never a problem and he loves you so much
The first time you went into one
You were battling him as your first gym battle, with your Espeon battling against his Glossifleur.
You seemed so strong, easily ordering move after move from your companion, but that changed when you started to wobble on your feet, your Espeon immediately ran to your side to catch you from hitting your head and braced your body against her own and let you fall at a slower rate to the ground safely.
Milo gave a wave to the stadium, with a shout of “Everyone stop!” and made his way over to you. The stadium went into a quick and silent hush. The rotom camera, now focused on you.
Your body jerked involuntarily, your gaze far off and unfocused.
Your partner pokemon gave a cry and rubbed against your body while Milo held your head to where it would be easier for you to breath.
“Hey, Y/N… it’s okay lass. You’re okay.” He said softly, his hat blocking out the harsh sun above you. He gave your cheek a few soft pats, his green eyes searching your face.
It took about a few moments for your hands to stop seizing and jerking. When they did you let out a steady breath. You blinked slowly and gave a low hum as your eyes refocused and fell upon the grass type gym leader above you.
“There you are, are you hurt?” Milo asked you, his voice lower but understandable for your comfort.
You swallowed, and went to slowly sit up, the sun from above now shining painfully on you. You blinked your eyes shut but nodded and turned to him.
“Yeah… just...” you began and suddenly noticed where you were and felt the anxiety well up inside of you.
“Would it be possible to…stop our battle for today? Please?” you finished and picked at a part of your nails, cheeks flushed.
“I’m sorry but I think I need to lay down for a while, I’m just wiped after…” you tried to explain yourself, your Espeon chittered next to you, rubbing against you softly.
Milo held up a hand with a genuine and kind smile. “Say no more, Y/N. Let’s get you to the nurse on call to get a look at you. Make sure you’re okay.” He rose to hit feet and held a hand out to you. “Can you stand?”
You gave a nod and stood up slowly, but wobbled a little, your legs still unsteady.
Milo scooped you up into his arms effortlessly. “Just rest, I’ll get you there safe and sound.”
And he did,

Humans are Space Orcs “Animal Planet.”
I had the sudden desire to do one of those documentary style episodes today, so that is what you are going to get. This will probably have one or more episodes, but it should be fun. Hope you all like :)
“Ok, ok ok, everyone listen up!... QUIET DOWN PLEASE…. Ok very very good. Now we have been cordially invited to interact with a very special group while they are being quartered here on our planet.”
“Don’t you mean you pestered begged and threatened?”
“You know what, you, you can shut up.”
‘Why are we doing this anyway. Humans aren’t all that interesting anymore?”
“That is where you are wrong! Universe-wide opinion polls state that, behind the drama with the LFIL, humans at large and the most sought after topic in the galaxy. My other sources tell me that only 5% of the galactic population has ever even seen a human. You should read some of the rumors about them, it is quite stimulating.
“How did you even get this to work?”
“The humans seem to want good PR as much as we want good entertainment. Alright everyone! GET YOUR CAMERAS READY!” “Do you want us to turn on the translation software?”
“No, of course not, well for everyone accept humans.”
“Why.”
“Well the public won’t exactly get a great thrill from them if they think they are intelligent speaking creatures now will they.”
“But they are?”
“Shut up, and get ready.”
“Three….. two ….. One.”
“HELLO EVERYONE! I am Mendex of the Tesraki, and today on my journey through the universe to meet some of the most dangerous species known to the galaxy, I have taken a stop back on my own planet for a rare opportunity. Now my researchers have come up with a few statistics I would like to share with you before we begin. According to intergalactic poles only five percent of the universal population has ever met, in person, one of these creatures. Number two, since their introduction, these creatures have been the cause for a 15% incline in death rate and a .2% drop in life expectancy for your average dweller of the GA. They can digest metal,, and reports say that they evolved to run their prey to death….. A slow death towards exhaustion.”
The camera pans slowly over the face of the Mendex, his light brown fur accented by a scruffy red scarf around his neck. They are walking up a grassy pathway, though the grass comes in shades of purple and blue instead of green.
“Now as I said before, I have been given a rare opportunity to interact with these creatures in their own environment. Now based on the concerns of some of my producers, we will not be allowed to go in alone, but have connected with an Expert who will take us through safety. Now as I understand it, this expert has left society to spend entire swaths of time with these creatures. He claims to have been incorporated into their pack and has enough social standing with them that he will be able to protect us while we interact.”
The ground grows steep for a moment as the camera moves up a hill and over the other side.
“Ah, there it is, their hive. Look at it. Now not much is known about how they build such complicated structures, but we do know that they enjoy the use of very hard sharp lines and corners. “ They trundle down another hill and towards the ship sat crouched in a field. Overhead clouds pass over the star.
“Oh, and there is our expert, waiting for us at the entrance to the hive.
The camera cuts for a second, and when it comes on the Tesraki and a Vrul are sitting side by side at the base of the hive.
“No more suspense. It is time for me to tell you what we are going to be seeing today….. HUMANS. Yes that’s right everyone, I have been given access to a human pack and the expert who has been living with them for the past few cycles now.” He turns to the Vrul sitting by his side, “Why don’t you tell us a little about yourself and your research, Docotr.”
The little creature glances up at the sun and then back towards the cameras, “Well I am Dr. Krill, and I have been working as a surgeon for as long as I can remember.” “As A surgeon, how did you end up here?”
“Well, that is actually an interesting story. I was working at the Thevel-1 Andromeda Trauma center, when a human ship actually called in for an emergency landing. One of the humans had been involved in some sort of freak accident on board, and they required immediate medical attention, so I men them in the trauma bay, and, I will leave the details out, but as it turned out one of the humans had a metal rod logged in his brain, through the orbital socket.”
“No, you’re kidding me?”
“Not even a little. I had never seen anything like it. Accidents like that result in visits to the morgue, not the hospital, but the human was still alive, so I removed the object and watched his recovery. Now at this point I was so fascinated that I couldn’t just let them go. There was so much for me to learn.”
“So just like that, you hopped on a human ship, and went gallivanting across the galaxy.”
“I know, sounds strange every time I hear about it, hardly something I would do.”
“What was that like, first day aboard a human ship, surrounded by predators.”
“Terrifying as you might imagine. I was convinced that I was going to get eaten or worse, but of course I never did.”
“Now why don’t you tell us a little about humans.
“Well, Mendex, the first thing you should know about humans is how social they are. Humans generally require SOME contact with other humans weather it be in large group units or at least one other human that they can interact with. It is such a big deal in fact that isolation can drive a human to madness or worse. They are very perceptive to social situations, and that is what made my first day so terrifying because the humans have many social rules that are expected to be followed that just never crossed my mind.”
“And how dangerous would you say a human is?”
“Well that depends entirely on the human and the situation. If a human thinks they are in danger, they will either run or they will fight. Humans have a special hormonal response that, during times of extreme stress, can allow them to life objects up to 500% their own body weight. For most of us a human, even the weakest humans, have the ability to maim, injure or severely mutilate.” he held up a hand, “however, I am not saying that to make you wary of humans, they are generally very friendly and curious creatures, and as long as they don’t feel threatened they will at least be tolerant of you.”
“Why are humans so dangerous?”
“Well that is a funny question, it actually stems from the simple fact that humans aren't actually all that dangers…. At least not on their planet, on the basis of raw power or predatory instincts.”
“Fascinating, what do you mean by that?”
“I mean that humans were not originally a predator species, in fact they are actually pretty poor hunters compared to most everything on their planet. In fact prey animals have been known to maul humans if provoked. Humans are probably the LEAST durable species on their planet. They adapted to survive in a world where the prey animals were dangerous and the predators could decimate them with the sweep of a paw.”
“Is that why they are a pack-creature.”
“Precisely, you see, a single human has a very low likelihood of being dangerous on their own planet, but together they can hunt creatures three four five times their own size if not more. You see comparatively to other animals of their planet, humans are slow, weak, with a poor sense of smell, hearing and even sight, but they had the one thing that sentient life is known for, and that is intelligence. This intelligence allowed they to group together and create a strategy for surviving in a hostile environment. That then led them to the building of weapons and machines to the point that survival was no longer an issue, and hunting even the most dangerous of their previous predators had become laughable.”
“That is fascinating, to think that a creature that dangerous could be so weak on their planet….. Have you met any of these other dangerous species?”
“Actually, yes/ Humans are so social and pack oriented that they have the ability to bond with non-sentient animals. They call it domestication, and it requires an animal to be, pack oriented, easy to feed, and have a short gestation period. The humans then take that animal and only allow the breeding of animals with specific desirable traits. In fact, they took a similar pack predator, and used their natural sociability to integrate them into human packs. The humans keep them as pets and began to use them as hunting partners considering their new pack member was faster, stronger, had a better sense of smell and hearing, but was now loyal to its human companions.”
“That doesn’t sound real.”
“Oh but it is. We have one aboard the ship.”
“And this creature could rip the humans apart?”
“Oh pretty easily, especially if she had the element of surprise.”
“Amazing, so what do we need to know before we get on the ship with you, you know for our safety and security.”
The doctor shifts in place. He is making a strange expression that seems unnatural for a Vrul, “Well you have to be aware that the humans have a strict hierarchy. When you get on the ship you are immediately assigned a specific sort of guest place in this hierarchy. The human pack alpha that runs the ship is higher than you as well as the betas below him and their immediate underlings. You can assume that your comfort is more important than the low ranking humans but you MAY NOT order them around since it is not your place and you have not been accepted into the pack. Generally speaking though, a human ship is a relatively safe place as long as you are polite, apologetic, and willing to do what is asked of you. Now the humans are likely to be very curious, try not to show signs of fear, but if you do they aren’t going to attack or anything. Depending on the human they may or may not gently mess with you, they may playfully try to dominate or scare you for their own amusement, but don’t worry they aren't likely to attack. Do not make any disparaging remarks or insult the humans.”
“Are humans very sensitive to verbal attacks?”
“Some are and some aren’t. In the case of insulting a human, I have found that it is not generally the human you have insulted that you should be afraid of, but the other humans around the human you have insulted. You see many humans have no issue in making an insult, but will not tolerate one directed at one of their pack members. They are very protective of each other, especially the alpha. It is also a good idea not to insult objects that belong to humans. The human bonding instinct is strong enough that they will bond to objects. So the ship for example, do not offend the ship. I made that mistake on my first day and thought the alpha was going to tear out my throat.”
There was a shifting amongst the crew.
“What are the rules on touching.”
“That is complicated, it also depends on the human. The general rule is not to go up and touch a human without permission. If a human approaches you first, you may make contact with them. Generally hands and arms are acceptable to touch though I would suggest avoiding any other part of the human anatomy for the sake of their privacy. Humans are very very serious about their personal space and their personal privacy
“Are there any warning signs that we should be aware of, just in case.”
The doctor nodded, “Well there are a few things. Humans have a warning call they use to indicate to other humans that something is wrong, it generally indicates pain or immediate danger and is specifically designed to get attention and bring other humans to assist. This involves a high pitched sort of keening, it is very loud and very powerful, and will hurt your ears if you aren't careful. Generally though, I have only ever heard it used on a few occasions. As far as more subtle things to look at. If a human gets into a defensive posture in your direction it isn't a good sign. They will bend at the knees and have their hands up to protect their face. Their chins will be lowered to cover their necks. Another important signal to look at is the face. A frowning human could either be thinking or they could be anger. That is when the mouth sort of dips on either end like this…. Yes…. yes like that. But the important thing to look at is the eyes. The eyes will always give them away.”
“What is so important about the eyes.”
“Well, human eyes are enormously expressive. I swear by them personally. Humans have this habit of pretending one thing but meaning another, and looking at the eyes can tell you that. Eyebrows slanted down is generally a good indicator. A frown mixed with slanted eyebrows and…. Its hard to explain. If you look into the eyes and feel as if their expression could kill you, you probably want to stop doing whatever you are doing. Also sudden silence isn’t entirely a good thing either. Humans love talking to each other, there is always someone speaking, most of the tie, but if you are in an area with many humans and none of them are speaking there is either something wrong, or they have been ordered to behave that way”
“What is a good indicator of a happy human.”
“It seems strange, but showing their teeth is a good sign most of the time. A curious human is generally a happy human. They like learning and interacting with their environment, so encourage curiosity and the showing of teeth. Also there is a strange sound they make, sort of a repetitive revving noise that comes from the back of the throat or the chest. That means that the human is amused, and that should also be encouraged.”
“Alright…. Do you think we are ready.”
“I think so…. Follow me.”
The crew gets up and the feed cuts to black.
This episode will continue after the break.

Description: Christmas is a little confusing what with being a 4,000 year old mummy without translations, but that doesn't mean he can't enjoy it. Especially when it comes to you.
Notes: i officially LOVE this series cause i get to write about wacky misadventures for as long as i want and ALSO i get to practice my ancient egyptian! WC: 2.1k

"Oven."
"Off-en.. I... what?"
"I told you not to teach him the words of things he doesn't know about," Amy deadpanned from her chair, turning the page of her book whilst quirking a brow in Ben's direction.
"How does he not know what an oven is?" Ben said, letting his picture cards fall in favor of crossing his arms.
"We told you this already, he's not from around here."
"What, so they just don't have ovens in Bolivia?"
"Jesus," Amy muttered under her breath, sucking in a sharp breath.
As usual, it was the middle of the night, and Ahk was curled up in a blanket beside the library fireplace. Tendrils of warmth licked up his bare legs and onto his face, soothing the ache of cold tension. Ahk, though listening intently to the conversation between Ben and Amy, understood little of it.
Ever since the start of the second semester, it had rained every day. Outside, the grassy fields were soaked in mud, lined by wet concrete and running students. All in all, not the best environment for a man of Ahk's tastes; someone who grew up in a half-desert. Fortunately his time was well taken up – with the start of the new semester, Phillip ended up signing onto a course about ancient Egypt, spending a good amount of time over break to delve into the language of hieroglyphs. Since he got back he'd been trying to communicate with Ahk, and to both their surprise, several of the attempts were successful. A new hope sparked for communication between the two worlds, a hope that Ben apparently adored to the point of buying children's flashcards.
Although Ahk would always be happy to spend his time learning, he worried for you. Just a little. After all, he always did in some way. You could be surprisingly fragile both physically and mentally. There was a time Ahk went out with Amy and Phillip to run a couple errands, only to return to you curled up in the corner and shaking, Rose sat dead still in her chair, and Ben nowhere to be seen. He hadn't been gone that long, but through your incoherent mumbles he uncovered you were scared. Scared he wasn't coming back. You had thrown your arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug he happily returned.
That was just you, though – a little clueless, incredibly sweet, and a tad helpless on your own. With Ahk caught up in his new lessons, you were left alone, something that always unsettled Ahk. There was no telling if you would be alright without him near.
From his seat at the fire, he could spy you through the stacks of books, curled up in the corner and playing with your own skin. You pinched it, rolling it between your fingers till it began to tear. He winced and looked away. Every now and then you did something of that ilk, something very zombie-like of you, and each time he had to look away. He never tried to stop you, though; he reasoned that you were in fact a zombie, and it was only natural you would do zombie-like things at least every now and then.
"Star," Ben said, pulling another card out of his deck, displaying the drawing of the night sky. He pointed to one of the bright dots, helpfully clarifying that it was about the light and not the sky itself.
"Star," Ahk returned, earning a bright grin from Ben. "Siba."
"No, star," Ben said again, pointing more aggressively at the card.
"I think he's trying to teach you the word for it in Egyptian," Amy said, not even bothering to look at either of them.
"If you have so many opinions on this, why don't you do it?" Ben snapped back. Amy's mouth fell open, offense heavy on her furrowed brow.
With a deep sigh, Ahk stood and left his place at the fire, blocking out the loud argument he only half understood, if that. Amy always took Ben a little too seriously, something Ahk knew to avoid the second he started understanding just how Ben's mind worked.
Sneaking quietly through the rows of books, he made his way to you, careful to not disturb any towers with his long cape. As usual you sat on the floor with your back pressed up against the corner, relaxed as you fidgeted absently with your fingers. Only when he approached you did you notice him, a soft, almost slack-jawed smile coming to you as he sat down.
"How are you feeling this evening?" Ahk asked you in his native tongue, fully aware you wouldn't understand or reply. Still, there was a sort of reaction evident on your frame, a movement that had him believing you understood at least the gist of his words.
You reached over, the slightest bit of color in your cheeks as you set your hand atop his, running your palm over the back of his hand. He furrowed his brow, but the confusion faded away when you began to pet him. You were reassuring him. For some reason.
"I really... I am sorry that you cannot join me, on this... venture. I do wish we could find a way to understand you, too. There must be something in your head," he said softly, eyes flickering between your hand on his and your downcast gaze.
A familiar silence came to the both of you when Ahk could no longer lament your lack of communication without repeating himself. As usual, you tried to speak with your actions, setting your legs criss-cross beneath you as you motioned him nearer. He shifted, unsure of your end goal until you gently grabbed his head and forced it onto your lap. His cheeks turned a pretty red as you did so. Yet he was always ready to please you; instead of pushing you away he made himself comfortable on the carpeted floor, breathing slow as you began to pet his hair.
You began to hum a song, incoherent and out of tune, in the soft, humming voice you were left with in death. Although it certainly didn't comprise of an actual melody, it was still nice to hear. Every now and then you'd hit a sweet note where the tune evened out, where your voice was best suited, and at each instance he fell deeper into your petting. Soon the arguing of Ben and Amy disappeared into the background, followed by the crackling of fire and the storming of raindrops outside. All that remained was you.
Ahk enjoyed his blissful ignorance for several more minutes until your strokes were abruptly interrupted by the sound of an opening door. Heavy boots fell on the wooden floors, alerting all five of you to a large pine tree being shoved through the doorway. His eyes widened as a particularly wide branch was shoved through.
Amy stood from her chair, passing by you and Ahk as she jogged over to the door.
"Ahk," she said, "an'na."
Come to me.
Reluctantly he stood, brushing the wrinkles out of his cape and skirt before he went to assist Amy, whose hands barely got a grip on the stump due to her being mostly incorporeal. Ben came by a second later, standing beside Ahk as the three of them all pulled on the stump in a single movement. With one good heave, the tree fell into the library, sending Ahk falling back onto his spine. He hissed instinctively, his hand going to rub at his back. The rain-heavy tree, once stuck in the doorway, now rested almost entirely on him.
Now that he could enter, Phillip tip-toed around the top of the tree to reach Ahk, easily lifting the weight off him with his super strength. Ahk didn't know what exactly Phillip was, but he had said he was a vampire – something Ahk knew nothing about. Maybe that was why he was so strong. Either way, it didn't erase the fact that Ahk was incredibly wet and bruised now.
Over the proceeding ten minutes the four shakily moved the tree to sit beside the fireplace, as all other spaces were already taken up by books and desks. Amy helped to stabilize it while Ben rushed away, in search of something Phillip told him to grab, which Ahk unfortunately couldn't translate in his head. Several questions blurred through his head – mainly questions as to why the hell they would want an indoor tree that would most certainly rot – but he found no chance to ask until Ben returned with a box of shiny, new ornaments.
He pulled Phillip aside, watching Amy and Ben hang the ornaments on the branches out of the corner of his eye.
"Why?" Ahk asked, one of the english words he made sure to remember.
"Uh..." Phillip paused for a moment, attempting to remember his classes, "Un.. neteru, ni peta."
For.. the god, in heaven.
"Ah," Ahk said wistfully, nodding in understanding.
Phillip smiled brightly at the successful communication before motioning him over, handing him a bright red ornament and a tiny metal hook. He glanced at his friends, each of them entranced with this strange worship, before he hung up his first ornament. Hopefully this wouldn't induct him into their religion.
"No," Amy said, pausing Ahk's movements, "make it – or, uh.. ieri nefer."
Make it pretty.
Ah. So this was an aesthetic thing.
With ornament in hand, he looked all around the tree, wondering where it would best fit in relation to both the branches and the other ornaments. Most of the little things hung on the tree were dolls of sorts – ceramic statuettes of animals and instruments, even humans.
A hand on his back startled his posture upright, eyes widening in surprise as he inhaled sharply. Another joined it, and warm fingers spread out to encircle his waist, followed by a cheek against his shoulder.
"Oh, Crayon," he breathed out, returning to his native language, "you startled me."
"Mmm," you mumbled, squeezing him tighter against you as your perpetually-tired eyes fluttered shut.
"Do you want to help out?" He asked softly, attempting to turn round to face you. Your grip proved his task difficult, but with a quick stop to hang the ornament, he was soon met with your head on his chest. A blooming feeling in his stomach spread warmth into his face. Of course it'd be you to bring a blushing warmth to his cheeks – not freezing rain nor well-lit fireplace. Just you.
Amy, currently floating near the top of the tree, held one of the many ornament boxes in her hand. Ahk only noted this once she began to drift down, holding out the box for Ahk to take another ornament. This time he took two – a bearded man in a red suit and a brightly colored icicle – and handed one to you. A small sigh left you, a clear indicator of your reluctance to separate from Ahk, but with his encouragement you did just so.
Together, the six of you (minus Rose, who was napping in her chair) set up all the ornaments on the tree, stringing up garland and fairy lights round the branches to let them glitter in the firelight. With Ben's attentive care, the fire was still roaring away in its' brick house, interrupted only by the worsening storm outside the windows.
As Ahk took your hand, Amy set out the record player and began the first of many songs he would most likely never understand. He could still enjoy them, though – there was a certain charm to them, a happiness clear in the garbled words and bright tune. Whether or not you understood them was a mystery, but you most definitely recognized them. Two seconds into the third song you began to hum the melody; a little out of tune as always, but still clearly the soft song on the record player.
Once again the world began to fade out a little, being replaced with your clouded eyes and sleepy hum. You sat in front of the fire now, leaned against the edge of a bookcase with a pillow behind you, and Ahk at your side. He scooted close to you – impossibly close – till your sides were pressed tight together and he could rest his head on your shoulder. A smile tugged at your lips as the quietest of giggles left you.
Ahk stared at the decorated tree, enjoying the strangely intimate happiness in his heart placed there by you and, undeniably, your group of friends. It was an odd celebration, but he'd be willing to be that if he started any of his own festivals, they'd be just as confused.
He tapped at Phillip's leg, drawing his attention away from his conversation with Amy.
"Ren?" Ahk asked, pointing to the tree again.
Name?
"Christmas," Phillip answered with a smile before promptly returning to Amy.
He turned up to you, shifting ever closer to your willing touch. There he nuzzled into you, his nose pressed up against your jaw as you smiled, staring at your intertwined hands.
"Happy Chriss-mas, Cray," he mumbled, his eyes drifting slowly shut.

New Moon Pick a Pile Reading, August 19, 2020
I have been wanting to incorporate more communal readings like this, and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to create this for you all this evening. The New Moon signals the fresh start of a new cycle. I would like to invite you all to this community reading, which may shed some light on what new beginnings are in store for you. Please keep in mind, because this is a group reading, it may not feel as personal or accurate as readings conducted independently. If this reading raises any questions for you, feel free to shoot me a message so we can discuss it, or even dig deeper.
I now would like to invite you to close your eyes, and take some deep belly breaths. Release any tension you may be holding within your body. Try to imagine a dark night sky, full of bright stars. When you are ready, gently open your eyes, and pick a crystal that calls to you. This may not be the one you find the most beautiful or unique, but the one that is reaching out for your attention, pulling you in. Keep in mind, the following reading is just for fun. What does this new moon have in store for you?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Selenite
At the beginning of this moon cycle, you are finding yourself in a position of success. Great job, you’re killin it. You’ve leveled up. Your experience is building into wisdom which can provide you the resources necessary to move forward. If you’re in need of reassurance that you’re on the right track, this is it. This moon cycle, you will be challenged in a way that feels familiar. Something is coming back around that has challenged you in the past. So while you are in a more mature and successful place to deal with it this time around, it may feel discouraging to be confronted with a challenge you thought you had already worked through. Hold fast, and remain confident in your success. This repeating cycle is one which will bring forth even more personal growth. But growth doesn’t always feel too great until we get through to the other side. Hang in there. An element of this challenge that is hidden, is one that you are actually hiding from yourself, though you may not realize it. There is an element of denial at play here. You may be avoiding your inner emotions. You must take time for reflection. Slow down. You may be faced with a choice, but none of the options are appealing to you. However, the time has come to address these issues. You may find it helpful to take some alone time, practice some grounding, and ask yourself, what’s really bothering you? What really needs to be worked on? You can’t hide from your inner emotions forever. They will continue to resurface until you sort them out. This moon cycle, the universe is building a flow of energy and opportunity for you! How wonderful! It’s a great time to try and tap into this energy as much as possible and go with the flow. You can’t speed up the process, and you shouldn’t have any doubt. Open the sails and allow the winds of fate to blow you in the direction you must go. Be open to this flowing current of energy, and trust in it to serve you well. This moon cycle, you’re being encouraged to strive for a better relationship with the truth. Relating back to earlier in this reading, you need to be honest with yourself and acknowledge your deeper emotions. I get a sense that maybe some of you like to stay busy so that you don’t have to sit with your feelings. This is not the same as having a healthy intellectual understanding of your emotions. It’s just a form of avoidance. You’re being encouraged to keep it real with yourself. I get a sense that some of you may have some unhealthy emotional habits which are self sabotaging in nature. Evaluate these behaviors and their motivation, so that you can begin to tackle the root cause, rather than putting out fires that have already started. Some final words of encouragement this cycle are affirmations of stability and long term success. Again confirming that you’ve been doing awesome and that you’re leveling up. All this hard work is going to pay off, promise. Keep up the hustle. You are laying a strong foundation for long term growth and success. For some of you especially this is career oriented, but this can also be true in a sense of relationships and personal growth. The reward is coming, just keep pushing through.
Recap: you’ve been doing awesome and you’ve recently leveled up in a sense. This is a sign you’re on the right path. However, repeating cycles are going to emerge this moon cycle, likely because you have some inner work that requires your attention that you have been avoiding or denying its importance. Practice grounding and stay in the moment, and feel the flow of energy moving through as you move around and work through these stagnant inner areas. Strive to keep it real and be honest with yourself about the nature and cause of unhealthy behavior and thought patterns. You will continue to grow your success this moon cycle, and by the next new moon, you will have taken significant steps toward laying a foundation for future success and stability.

This moon cycle calls for resilience. Perhaps you’ve recently found yourself softening in the face of challenges, and if you haven’t, then you will be needing to. Rather than taking challenges head on, which can create more resistance, this moon cycle calls for you to approach opposition with compassion and curiosity. The challenge of this moon cycle is in your ability to open your heart up. There is a partnership, a long term relationship in your life. For some this may of course be romantic in nature, but it could also be a friendship, familial relationship, business partnership, or otherwise. You must open yourself up to this. Now is not the time to be closed off. I get a sense of a lack of trust here for some of you. Some of you have been hurt and are not feeling confident in the ability of others to pull their end of the partnership. You must soften, and rather than viewing this as you vs them, view it as you both vs the problem. View your differences from a place of compassion and empathy. A hidden piece of the challenge here is a significant loss. There is another calling here for resilience and perseverance. You may need to reach out for help now. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. In fact, it is something that often takes courage. Whatever this unexpected loss may be, you must reach out to someone, open your heart and trust that they will do what they can to support you. Life is always going to have ups and downs. Support when we are down will develop into celebration when we are up. This moon cycle, a brand new opportunity is building for you. This is resource oriented. So for many of you this is income or career oriented. For others, this is a new relationship of some kind. For all of you, it is a shift that must begin from within. In order to mold our outer world, we must create a healthy inner world for it to reflect. This means putting ourselves in an abundance mindset. Practice affirmations like “I am successful” “I am grateful” “I have everything I need”. This moon cycle asks you to surrender to the loss you will be experiencing. That sucks. I’m not gonna sugar coat it. This loss is gonna hurt, but you will get through it by the end of this cycle, and new opportunities will present themselves on the other side. You must walk away from what is no longer serving you. You can’t hold on to what’s already gone. It won’t do you any good. Press onward. Strive to accept this change as a force of growth. It’s time to move on so you may ascend beyond this phase of your life. Ouch. Your final words of encouragement here are that this process cannot be rushed. I know it hurts and it sucks to feel down and out. Life isn’t fair, and you just want to push through and succeed and get what you’re wanting and craving. You can’t force these things. You have to surrender and ride this out. But you will get through this, as long as you stay true to yourself and do not compromise your integrity in order to get ahead or get back at those who have hurt you.
Recap: this moon cycle, unfortunately, you will be faced with a great loss. You can’t rush the grieving process, nor can you force the growth process. You must surrender to your circumstances and sit with this misfortune. This is going to be a test of your resilience, but by softening in the face of challenge and being gentle with yourself, you will make it through this. You are strong enough. But no one is strong enough to get through this time alone. You need to find a way to trust someone and reach out for support. This is a key element of this challenge, and it will be your guiding light. Remember that through endings we are delivered to new beginnings, and this somber change is one that is going to bring you to a place of new opportunities which are better suited for you.

This moon cycle has you in a situation where you just have to walk away. If you recently left a toxic environment, this is your sign that you made the right choice. If you’re unsure what to do and have not made a choice, you must walk into the unknown, even if it is sad or frightening, it is for the best. Challenges this cycle relate to authority and structure. If you’re planning on making some moves, you’re gonna be faced with the challenge of laying the necessary infrastructure to make it happen. This challenge could relate to a boss or a parent, or it could be a lack of self confidence. If this is the case, take time to feel empowered and energized. Sit in front of the mirror and repeat after me: “You.Are.A.Badass.” A hidden element of this challenge is a need for tradition and structured practice. You may be surprised how well you fare upon the adoption of a dedicated meditation practice. This could also be a sign you require a menor or a teacher during this time, and it’s hard for you to admit that. The forces of justice are building for you during this moon cycle. So if you’ve been wronged by a person of authority, the truth is going to come out. If you have been dishonest and cut corners in your commitments, the truth is also going to come out. Be aware of this. You are encouraged this moon cycle to explore the unknown within. This is something you must do on your own. Nobody else can do this for you. You are encouraged to sit with yourself in quiet contemplation and reflection. Again, I am seeing encouragement to meditate or spend time in thoughtful prayer. Elements of the subconscious must be explored. Your final words of encouragement today, are that your happiness and success is entirely up to you. Do not place the success of your happiness in external factors, such as the way others treat you, or what you do for a living or the value of your home. Happiness and contentment come from within. By creating a space of self acceptance within, your outer world will be illuminated in a new light that you may find to be far more satisfying. Additionally, you’re encouraged not to indulge in fantasy too much. Be realistic with yourself and the truth of your situation. Set tangible goals that are under your control, rather than asking the universe to simply drop a happy bomb in your lap.
Recap. This moon cycle calls you to explore the sub conscious through diligent practice in order to create a more peaceful inner world. It calls for structure and discipline and quiet contemplation. You must face these inner truths, and remain realistic in your desires. The practice itself, whether it is one of prayer, meditation, yoga, taking walks, or anything else, is what will illuminate these areas of self. Show up for yourself and remain confident in your ability to grow and create a happier state of self.
