hate to put anything political on this blog, but im afraid ive seen way too many tumblr users do this, so it needs to be said:

you guys need to stop throwing around the term fascist without even knowing what it means. you're essentially using it as a curse word saying "fuck you you're a fascist" but you don't know what a fascist is? you can't just call anyone you disagree w/ politically a fascist.

i'm not saying america is right--in fact, i disagree with a large portion of the politics going on in america today. there is fascism in america--im not saying there isn't. there has been since it was made. the KKK was fascist, and that was huge during WWII. and of course there was the black legion, the italian americans that were trying to establish fascism in the U.S. by overthrowing the government... but obviously the german american bund.

but what about now? people today are calling every political leader a fascist. if you're conservative, you're immediately a fascist. how does that work?

"fascism" is a diagnosis word, not a curse word. stop using it like one.

Going to hazard it's not a great sign for your obvious party nominee when a substantially non-zero portion of your own party's voters come out to make a point of informing everyone that they are not voting for you, even if they have done so multiple times previously, and pledge to support the incumbent president of the opposite party if/when you win the nomination.

The people unashamedly trying to take advantage of the thousands of innocent Palestinian people murdered in Israeli war crimes, twisting the knife in the back of Palestine for an opportunity to remind you that you still have to vote for Joe Biden, undoubtedly counting among the people with the most blood on their hands, have already made it clear they do not care about anyone but themselves, and have gone out of their way to prove it.

I guess the thing that bothers me about some of the posts on here berating people about voting for Biden is that some of the people they are berating are people who have literally lost dozens of family members to this genocide and they still don't seem to understand why telling those people "yeah, Biden is aiding a genocide but you better still vote for him because Trump would be worse!" is hurtful and patronizing, or why those people then get angry.

If anybody wants an update on the precariously-close-to-failed democracy of Ohio, the Republican supermajority is attempting to keep the sitting president off of the November ballot on a technicality they created (and have previously bypassed when convenient).

These are the same people that tried everything in their power to keep an abortion initiative off the ballot despite swearing up and down it wouldn't pass anyway because they totally represent the average Ohioan's opinion on this matter so they KNOW Ohioans are against abortion, and when the measure DID get put on the ballot and Ohioans DID vote to protect abortion, they immediately said "This isn't over," because fuck the people's will.

I've said it before and I will continue to scream it until I'm red in the fucking face:

One party isn't perfect, but they have shown they value the most basic tenets of representative democracy.

The other party is pulling out all the stops to ensure we are a "democracy" in theory only.

at my new (last, for better or worse) training site this semester that if I fail I have to go into the private sector forever instead of being a public worker which will be Hard because I am Trans and I Very Much Don't Pass. start there at 7am on wednesday, get home after that and go to work until 8. halfway through, get a notif from my mom that heyyyyy she has appendicitis. and is hospitalized also.

call out on thursday to go see my mom. do a zoom meeting anyways. waiting at hospital for Hours for the doctor to actually Show Up to Let Her Out 👁️👁️. get home, hang out with my partner a tiny bit, have to sleep.

work 7am today. soooooo fuckin tired. get home, rest long enough to eat, jump back onto that work train. closing shift, out at 10:05 because there's some kind of system error causing problems. and now here I am At Last, everything's okay, except that I start on Monday but I am Working All Weekend :(
