NATLA Debrief: Episode 3 (by yours truly)
Hi again! If any of ya'll are interested here's episodes 1 and 2. Thank you to those who have been following these deranged, unorganized posts, especially @phoebester (Just an fyi this will be hella long, just like the other two)
Tumblr media
First of all, the way they framed the opening resistence scene was genuinely so cool because I immediately thought back to the cold open for the first episode. The streets are so similar that's where my mind went RIGHT AWAY and if that is not good set design and filming I don't know what is.
Tumblr media
The resistance scene was so powerful for so many reasons besides those small details, too. The concept of a resistance within the FN was never addressed at all within the cartoon and I can't express how glad I am that they added this. It just makes logical sense that some people would resist, especially while so many are dying in war, and it really serves to humanize the FN people in a way that's reminiscent of book 3 ATLA. Perfect way to expand on the source material and introduce core themes earlier in the show (M Nite should be taking notes).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was also a perfect way to introduce both Ozai and Azula's characters. Ozai is this menacing figure stepping out of the shadows (quite literally), an almost larger than life villain who seems to have every move planned and everything calculated. He's brutal and efficient and we can see that. Azula is conniving and smart, the kind of girl who can fool anyone and come out on top, but is ultimately still a weapon under her father's control. You can tell from the moment Ozai mentions Zuko that she is the underdog, but she is determined that it will not stay that way, and she seems just terrifying enough to succeed. (also idc what anyone says Elizabeth Yu has mastered Azula's look and general vibe. I feel like the whole 'miscasting' debacle was a mix of fatphobia and being shown the wrong stills before the show came out. She looked sort of sweet and innocent in those but I get absolutely none of that from this scene)
Tumblr media
Ugh the exposition was great and then they have to give us this. What the absolute hell did they do to my Katara? Like there was a whole ass episode in the cartoon devoted to her getting mad because she wasn't progressing as fast as Aang and then in this fucking adaptation the maddest she sounds is when she emotionlessly declares, "I don't get it" to convey mild frustration. I'm sorry Kiawentiio, you're acting is great but the writers clearly have no fucking idea how to put your emotional range to good use. The same problem was present in the last episode and I just don't see them being able to fix it significantly enough at this point, even if they have a desire to. Not to undermine that, but there were a couple good points in this scene: Aang mentions something about bending being "beyond thought" which gives bending a more spiritual aspect that I like, and Katara's PTSD is brought up again in an intelligent way, but still, that doesn't matter if they're going to completely butcher her character. (side note: when is Aang going to learn waterbending? they haven't shown him training at all and I'm getting worried)
Tumblr media
This scene was fine or whatever but what in the absolute fuck is going on with Zuko and Zhao? Are they not going to do the agni kai? Like I know there's still animosity there but they were really just sitting there (semi)-calmly enjoying a cup of tea and demonstrating only mild dislike for each other. All I have to say is if they remove the agni kai altogether I'm gonna be so fucking pissed it'll bug me forever and I'll be fucking insufferable.
Tumblr media
Also Zuko is so mean to Luitenient Jee for no reason. I know it's because his abuse makes him see any kind of comradery as weakness so it's a good detail if that's what they're going for but ngl I also find it a bit funny. Like what did he ever do to you? And Zhao taking three tries to pass his officer exam is so perfect too like what a fucking looser lmao.
Tumblr media
Ba Sing Se looks beautiful. There's something so mystical about it, especially in the way Aang describes it as they walk up to the gate. It's this hub of culture and science and art, but it's also incredibly militaristic and so changed due to war it's almost unrecognizable to someone who was there a hundred years ago. The adaptation of cultures during times of change is something ATLA does so well and I'm glad to see that it's continuing in the LA.
Tumblr media
AHH Katara was so awkward during this whole scene and I loved it. For one thing Sokka's commentary was absolutely hilarious but it's also this reminder that Katara has been relatively isolated from other children her age and her brain is like "cute boy flirt how" and its so fucking funny. It might not be the same Katara as the cartoon who is effortlessly comfortable wherever she goes but this is so much more realistic and if she's going to be a bit different this is probably the best thing for them to change (now keep the awkwardness and give her back her anger Netflix I'm begging you)
I am slightly concerned because it looks to me like they're trying to condense at least four episodes into one and I'm not sure if that's going to be a cohesive plotline or a complete mess or not but if handled carefully I think they might be able to pull it off.
Tumblr media
Ooooh the explosion was super unexpected and totally cray cray thanks for keeping me on my toes. I'm assuming it was Jet that planted the bomb although I cannot for the life of me think why. Anyways Teo was adorable I'm adopting him.
Tumblr media
Also I am so so so happy that they gave him a little more depth beyond just 'happy glider kid' and gave a bit more nuance to his character. Of COURSE kids who grew up in war are going to be desensitized to the bloodshed OF COURSE they're going to be a little vengeful and be thinking about ways to win the war OF COURSE Aang is going to be uncomfortable with that because he didn't grow up with that militaristic mindset even if he did loose everything OF COURSE that's not going to change the fact that kids grow up hearing about death and experiencing loss as extremely young children versus Aang being suddenly thrust into this responsibility and grief because he didn't grow up like that he grew up in peacetime it just makes sense. Good job Netflix this was wonderful this was perfect I loved it.
Tumblr media
Okay don't get me wrong I love the way Aang wears his heart on his sleeve I love how their in-the-face storytelling makes a bit more sense with how open and emotional of a person he is it's just part of his character that was improved upon by the LA in my opinion but this is also just... such a misunderstanding of the group dynamic. Like why isn't Katara seeing these people and thinking "I can help with this I have to help with this" and Aang giving this speech to Sokka jumping on the bandwagon? I would even accept them seeing the destruction together and mutually deciding that they need to help the people there (this would probably be best as it allows us to see both character's compassion) or Aang saying something about it and Katara immediately being like "ur absolutely right" but of course they can't do that all we need is a lengthy speech from the protagonist while Katara stands there like robot girl. My mistake.
Tumblr media
STOP because her mocking face is so fucking perfect I love Elizabeth Yu she's perfect. Anyway, I think that they're kind of... adjusting her trauma a bit? I mentioned earlier how I feel like she's shown as a little more scrappy and an underdog as opposed to perfectly calculating and not a hair out of place, but after this scene I feel the need to expand on that. In the cartoon, Azula's abuse from her father centers around his unattainably high expectations for her that eventually cause her ultimate breakdown and the conclusion to her devastating character arc. But in the LA, they're portraying her as less of a prodigy and more of a hard worker. She still has incredibly high expectations, but in this version, she never meets them all the time. Her brother is almost leveraged against her in a way. Even if she feels like she is the best and has the constant need to prove she is the best to her father, there's always going to be this nagging insecurity that she won't be good enough to measure up to her brother. She's not being told she's worthless like Zuko, but she's not reaching every goal like cartoon Azula, either. This also might explain why she has arrows. In the cartoon, weapons are viewed with disdain by firebenders, making Zuko using them so controversial, but Azula definetely doesn't seem to be hiding her talent for the bow and arrow and even if it was a her-sneaking-away-to-practice sort of situation that's not very in character and I don't think she would do that. I think in this version she probably has them because she's trying to find every possible way to prove herself to her father beyond just firebending, and mastering a weapon is a way to do that. I'm not sure how I feel about these changes but she is clearly a different character in this version than in the cartoon and moving forward I'm going to treat her as such. (I've noticed this a bit with all of the characters except possibly Sokka: they're different people. I think this actually might be intentional. [even so I still don't like their characterization of Katara her trauma hasn't changed very much to my knowledge she should still have the same core drives and character traits])
Tumblr media
As well done as Azula was, there was relatively nothing in the Ty Lee and Mai department. They're just kind of existing, watching her train. Ty Lee is vaguely cheerful (and her costume is great btw) and Mai has one line about exploring the world that gives a bit of insight into her character and has a monotone voice. They're both clearly a little scared of Azula but that's basically it. Hopefully we get more on them soon.
Tumblr media
Back in Ba Sing Se, I noticed a bit of a parallel between Teo and Katara. The Mechanist mentions that they lost his mother due to the war, which reminded me specifically of Katara. Throughout this scene, we see that Teo remembers his mother's philosophy and adopts it into his own mindset far more than his father's. Their situation is different because while Katara is arguing for compassion Teo is arguing for fighting back, but they are both fundamentally saying the same thing. It's not enough just to accept their lot in life and try to survive or fight, it's about the big picture, and about defending the things they love. While Katara and Teo both approach this subject from a very different front, the core idea is the same. It's also telling how they are dismissed initially as idealistic for their values when they are really upholding what their mothers stood for in their eyes: for Teo, a symbol of hope in her retellings of the stories of the avatar, and for Katara, a symbol of kindness in her reminders to remain empathetic despite the horrors of war. Make of this what you will, I just thought it was a nice little parallel.
Tumblr media
Anyway, allow me to have a few words on the whole Jet thing (in bullet points because I don't have enough brain power to do this)
I'm glad Jet got his freedom fighters outfit. I was a bit worried when I saw what he was wearing in the first scene he was in because the fit is iconic, and so are the swords
God he's so fucking dramatic "they call me Jet" while the sun glints off his swords and he turns slightly for affect it was so funny I laughed out loud
He and Kia have no on-screen chemistry I'm sorry. Like even the fight scene was so awkward and every time they speak to each other they sound so stiff. They're good actors independently but whoever was watching their chemistry check (I'm assuming they had one pre-production but judging by this crap I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't) was either asleep or it was their first day because there is NOTHING there
What the hell did they do to the Freedom Fighters? They're so cheesy and the costumes are so bad (especially Smellerbee's). Like seriously that entire fight scene was so awkward idk what the hell happened there but it was nowhere near the quality of the rest of the episode so far
Overall, I'm not a huge fan. Also where is Sokka I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be there somewhere
Tumblr media
Okay here's Sokka finally. Are they just taking him out of the Jet shenanigans entirely? I wouldn't be surprised considering how many episodes they had to condense but still I would have liked to see that. Oh well, I guess they had to have Katara do something in this episode instead of just stand around while her brother and Aang have huge plot points. Anyway, this scene was very interesting to me. Sokka and the Mechanist bonded in the og but not to this extent, and I honestly liked that they did something a bit deeper with it considering they don't have as much screentime to establish Sokka's daddy issues (for lack of a better word). Anywho the Mechanist mentioning that there are other career paths to take besides just being a warrior was super cool and I think we can glean a lot from it about Sokka's future character arc. Maybe in this version he doesn't perfectly live up to his dad's expectations and instead finds his own way? It was nice to see Hakoda proud of him in the original but if they go down this path I definitely won't be mad. It's interesting while staying true to the character, it's just a different direction.
Tumblr media
The scene with Aang and Teo was cute. They're both good actors who play off of each other nicely, and Teo talking about how he doesn't want to follow in his father's footsteps lends a bit of insight to the conversation the Mechanist had with Sokka. He probably mentioned Sokka's dad because he wondered if his parents were engineers too and maybe is looking for a bit of an apprentice since his son doesn't take after him as much. This is also another way Teo conflicts with the Mechanist's way of life and may be more similar to his mother.
Tumblr media
The jetara scenes at the Freedom Fighter camp had a much better dynamic. I think the fight scene was probably just them figuring each other out as actors, it just sucks that it seeped into the final take. I confess I was a bit disappointed that the Freedom Fighters didn't live up in the trees, but I guess that would be a bit difficult to engineer. I also noticed how Jet repeated Teo's "if not us, then who?" statement, which is probably just your basic commentary on how the future generations are our hope blah blah blah. It's a major theme so I shouldn't be as disinterested as I am in it but as it stands I'm still not totally thrilled with the Jet plotline as a whole and I think that may be affecting it. I feel like Sokka should be here to add some variety and spice things up a bit it's kind of boring.
The last jetara scene was definitely the best yet. I can't get over how happy I was to hear Jet say his mother taught him to fight. So often we hear how dads or older brothers are teaching the women in their family to fight but here we have a canonically badass male character saying that an older female relative was the one who taught him. One of the major complaints I have from the cartoon was how for all its talk about women being able to fight and its supposed feminist message, there were no women of the older generation fighting at all except for Jun, who wasn't even a particularly moral character like all these older men. We do have to remember that the cartoon started production over twenty years ago so it is a product of its time, when feminist issues weren't very mainstream. Another factor that might have contributed to the lack of feminism in the original was the generational discrepancies; millennials were the first to have widely accepted equal educational opportunities in the US, and even though educational opportunities are still affected by sexism, college became the norm for both male and female students at that time. This isn't to say women older than millennials didn't go to college, but this is around the time women and men started to become relatively equal as of percentage seeking higher education. Basically, they were the first generation of women expected to have careers, and therefore the writer's minds were probably shaped alongside a similar number of female peers, but primarily by men. This could have contributed to the lack of older women, but as times changed, so to did the amount of older women in professional fields. This line is a reflection of that, and I hope we continue to see more badass older women and older warrior women and women in power as the LA continues.
Other than that, I did take my shipping goggles out during this scene at the "sunrise" bit, and it wasn't about jetara. I heard from other fans in the zutara tag that the "you rise with the moon, I rise with the sun" line was removed but I keep thinking about how Katara is legitimately drawing power from remembering the sun rising, a time when the opposite element, Zuko's element, becomes more powerful. I know I'm reaching, but while I mourn the loss of our beloved "you rise with the moon, I rise with the sun" I have to find a new version. Anyway I think we should call this sunrisegate lol
Also, the way Katara is extremely hesitant to talk about her trauma whereas Jet seems completely fine with being emotional and dumping out exactly what he was feeling may have been a device but it does remind me of something I read about how ppl with PTSD will often react very differently when sharing their trauma and the same is true for many other trauma induced disorders. It was probably unintentional but I still thought it was a nice detail.
Tumblr media
Anyway on a less serious note Iroh and Zuko's dynamic is still top tier. I've seen a lot of people complaining about Iroh's character but I don't see anything wrong up to this point. I might be in for a shock in future episodes but I have genuinely no idea what they find so off putting. He's a great actor and the character has legitimately not changed. The line above was a bit undercut by the fact that he's standing in the middle of an enemy city with a cloth half wrapped around his face to keep part of his face from being seen, but I'm just gonna take it at face value (haha pun). I think the thing Zuko despises most is cowardice, and it affects his perception of the war in a huge way. He calls Aang a coward for escaping from prison because he was running away or whatever and I've never considered Zuko a particularly logical character but it's like... bruh he's outnumbered like fifty to one what he is gonna do? Anyway his definition of cowardice is directly tied to his honor and his perception of it in relation to his trauma and the way he held back in the agni kai and him perceiving that as cowardice maybe... Ya'll got me? This isn't fully formed because I obviously haven't seen this new rendition of the agni kai but I'm guessing the events are basically the same. Do with it what you will.
I skipped over the Azula and Zhao scene because I don't have any groundbreaking commentary except to say that I liked it. It ties Azula into the story nicely and gives Zhao something actually interesting about him (I don't hate him as much as I did in the cartoon so whenever he comes up on screen I just sort of yawn).
Tumblr media
Anyway, it was nice to see Katara get a bit angry. I think this captured the gaang dynamic pretty well. Aang being relatively neutral/ quiet while the siblings argue and Katara gets twice as mad as Sokka. Also he may have had the last word but she had the last laugh:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again, the sibling dynamic was really great but I didn't feel like Katara was carrying it as much as in previous episodes. Sokka actually played his part in making it interesting and realistic. I don't think this single argument is enough to redeem Katara's characterization in my eyes but at least we know now there is a little spark there.
Tumblr media
AHH THE SCARF SCENE! Scarfgate was everything I could have asked for and more. Like why does he appear directly behind her like that unless he's trying to fight her? Why does he just let her go by like that? Why does he hold out his hand in the first place? Truly is the Watergate of our time it deserves that name. (also in the same episode as the whole sunrise thing? come on) I'm probably being baited but at least I'm enjoying it.
Tumblr media
So I was right about the bombings! I can't believe all those cute little kids are terrorists but I couldn't believe it in the cartoon either so I guess that checks out. Either way I find the bombing far less forgivable than trying to take out the Mechanist. Innocent civilians were hurt and even though I know there was a real possibility that civilians could have been hurt in the attempted bombing for whatever reason it just seems... more brutal somehow. Like the first one was in the center of town, you know? Anyway terrorism is wrong I hope Jet finds his way.
(I was worried about how they were going to tie all the seemingly unrelated plotlines together but I think they pulled it off. Again my main problems were all concentrated around the Jet plotline but when the Mechanist was tied in it became a lot more interesting)
Tumblr media
When I heard this I was like "son ur about to get ur ass kicked" but the funny part is he was kind of right. Like when neither of them were bending he was winning. I guess in all fairness he is a lot bigger than Aang but I don't feel like that was an accidental detail. Anyway, I think this fight scene was the most entertaining yet and so much better than jetara against the firebenders earlier. Maybe the affects for water are just worse than air and fire (it feels slower somehow) but I'm very partial to this fight. And that's saying something because I usually fast-forward through fight scenes or just kind of tune them out or barely watch, so you know it was really good.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the reason I liked it so much was that it was funny, honestly, not in the same way or to the same degree the cartoon was but I laughed out loud a couple times. For instance Zuko gets hit in the face three times in the span of ten seconds, once with a plate, once with a wicker basket, and once with his own little stick thing. Aang also put a basket over his head and some random ass lady started whacking him with a fan. Kudos to whoever choreographed that it was the best.
Tumblr media
Also I liked how Sokka and Katara saved the day together. Cute sibling bonding excersize. And it ended on a cliffhanger with the characters separated! My favorite kind of cliffhanger! It definitely left me wanting more.
Anyway, to recap, things I didn't like:
No Zuko and Zhao agni kai
Mai and Ty Lee were just sort of there
Katara's characterization is still so-so
Jetara plot line was boring and chemistry was not the best
It was kind of a lot for one episode, even if they managed to do it well
Things I did like:
Opening scene
Azula characterization
Teo
The Mechanist plotline
Teo and Katara parallel
Katara DID actually seem a little bit more firey in this episode
SCARFGATE
Zuko and Aang fight scene
Surprisingly good handling of all those loose ends
Cliffhanger
Overall, I would give it a 9/10. That's the highest score I've given an episode so far and I'm standing by it. I know others might have a very different opinion on it since it was condensed so much and differed a lot from the cartoon, but I agreed with many of the changes they made. One thing I would urge everyone to remember is that these are different characters from the cartoon. They're going to act slightly different and have slightly different journys and that's okay. I think it is worth comparing to the original, as it is an adaptation, but we need to remember that an adaptation is not an exact replica, nor should it be. That in no way means that we should make allowances for anything we found negative or mediocre, but it is going to be different and change in it of itself isn't a bad thing. Anyway thank you guys so much for sticking with me! I'll probably have the next episode's debrief up by tomorrow.

MEDIA THAT INSPIRES MY VERSION OF ALASTOR!
Shawshank Redemption: Andy Dufresne. The themes of accepting your fate. Man imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit becomes a criminal to survive in prison, but still suffers immensely and makes close and passionate friends. Realizes that prison is where he thrives, yet craves freedom and spends nearly 20 years fighting for it
Candyman: Tony Todd's portrayal. Powerful, terrifying eldritch being. Tall, handsome, well dressed, eloquent. In a moment where bees are swarming in his mouth, he kisses the heroine with such divine passion that you almost forget the horror. But also themes of Black suffering, exacting revenge because you need to, not because you want to. Romance as a detriment, a disadvantage, not something to fight for.
SE7EN: Violent and creative crimes committed to force attrition. Embodying sin and punishing it. "People these days, you cant just tap them on the shoulder anymore. You have to hit them over the head with a sledgehammer. And then you'll find… you have their strict attention." Neon crosses, sex and debauchery, the underbelly of a city. The unnamed city that doesn't exist, but everyone can identify. "Mankind is good, and worth fighting for. I agree with the second part."
We Happy Few: Using happiness and suppression to hide your trauma. Attacking those who don't conform. The sinister fear behind every over-stretched smile. 60s vibes, but forever tainted by 30s and 40s events because the people never moved onward. Muttering to oneself in mourning of the memories you cant remember forgetting.
Bioshock: "No gods or kings, only man." Freedom of expression, but a violent hatred of the beings who control it regardless of the context they're in, like religion and education. Sander Cohen. Art at any cost. Transformation, puppets on strings, playing your part on a stage and diverting from the script. The neon glow of the 60s nightlife, but waterlogged and destroyed by time.
It Follows: A creeping monster that can only walk, but will never stop. Pass it on through acts of sex and debauchery. Vibrant red blood in a glowing blue pool from an entity you can't even see that you injured.
Matilda The Musical: Agatha Trunchbull. "The Smell Of Rebellion." Hatred of those weaker than you to an almost comical degree. Cleverness and loopholes in rules. Hurting people back, because why should you be the bigger person? "A contract is a contract is a contract!"
Carrie The Musical: Voice breaking during emotional numbers. "Eve Was Weak." Religious trauma manifesting physically. Covered in blood and surrounded by fire. "Mother was right."
The Shining: All work and no play makes Alastor a dull boy. Being held hostage by the narrative, regardless of if you're doomed by it. Blood cascading through the halls. "I'm not gonna hurt you… I'm just gonna bash your fucking brains in!" The empty ballroom, the bartender who isn't there.
The Green Mile: Killing a miracle. Percy Wetmore. Burning people alive just to see what might happen. Weeping as you sing "Cheek To Cheek" and face the reaper. Clutching the bodies of two little girls and crying to the heavens because it isn't fucking fair.
The Black Phone: The masks. "It's his favorite game: good boy, bad boy." The phone that doesn't work, and the calls that keep coming in. Little boys floating in the air, throats slit, begging for help. Jesus as a deity to worship for divination. The entire kitchen scene. (CW for child abuse)
Coraline: Forced smiles. Eating bugs like candy. "He pulled a looooong face, and Mother didn't like that." The Other Mother. "She'd love something to eat. / Mothers don't eat… daughters. / I dunno. how do you taste?" Watching victims through the dolls.
Welcome To Night Vale: The specific sense of melancholy and nostalgia that just listening to the podcast inflicts upon the listener. The radio host as the protector of the city.
The Princess and the Frog: Facilier. Friends on the other side. Voodoo in all its forms. "Fun thing about voodoo, Larry. Can't conjure a thing for myself."

Hi, i really hope im not bothering you by sending a modding question... i am absolutely brand new to even thinking about modding, and i know theres a big discord out there, but ive mostly heard horror stories coming out of the community so im honestly terrified to even check it out... im just wondering if you have any idea if its feasible to make a mod of Padre's shirt for V? (The one w the sweater over a collared shirt, i feel like ive seen it on other random npcs as well) not asking you to do it or anything, but its one ive never seen in mods so idk if its already been tried by modders and everyone decided "nah this wont work". Again, so sorry if you dont want to be bugged with questions like this, you honestly just feel like one of the most approachable people ive seen in this fandom so far and trying to make any cp77 friends has proven extremely intimidating.
Heya!! It's always ok to ask modding questions, you don't bother at all 🤲
I can't blame you for not wanting to get your feet into big servers, it can get quite overwhelming and frustrating when nobody seems to notice you. Tho I recommend using them as modding-wiki extension! It can be useful to search for solution, plugins and softwares, discord exclusive tutorials, or catch someone's getting help for a similar problem for example. There is no need to be active :3 but no pressure ofc, just know that it's totally ok to join these servers to just lurk
Now for Padre's shirt! I won't be able to do it (not right now at least) so I'll throw infos and direction if anyone else wanna give it a try 🤏
Here's the path to Padre's mesh -
base\characters\garment\gang_valentino\torso\t1_078_shirt__sweater\t1_078_ma_shirt__sweater_old.mesh
Tumblr media
Tho we can see its all wonky compared to a regular MA mesh, and that's because this one is specifically fitted for old' Padre (it's even in the mesh file name, _old)
To make a version useable for masc V, we'll need to combine a few meshes available in the same folder!
The main piece: t1_078_ma_shirt__sweater.mesh
The bottom part: t1_078_ma_shirt__sweater_shirt.mesh
The cuffs: t1_078_ma_shirt__sweater_cuffs.mesh
And one of the two available collar: t1_078_ma_shirt__sweater_collar_01.mesh or _collar_02.mesh
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of these should already fit into one another, but if not a lil refit in blender should do the trick!
Then I can only point out to the Modding Wiki and its numerous tutorials for the AXL part (making a standalone clothing mod)
I also recently added my own AXL Workflow in my Tutorial Drive; I'm planning on writing a proper one, for now it's only screenshots from an old private tutorial I made for a friend, some infomartion are outdated (I've learned a lot since then as well) but it can still be useful, hopefully!
Thank you for the ask and for your kind words 🧡 I'm sorry to hear the community hasn't been too welcoming, but there are a lot of good souls willing to help and guide if needed!
A big server that I often recommend is The Cyberpunks; it's a fandom focused server, really chill and friendly, not based entierly on modding but its modding channels are pretty active! I lurk in there, you can catch me in the modding and screenshots area :>
If big servers are out of the picture, I totally recommend trying to get into a smaller server; small bubbles can be more comfortable when the members are well spirited and positive :3
I hope you'll find your place and people you vibe with 🧡 and hope the few info on Padre's shirt can be useful, to you or anyone out there seeing this that might want to give it a try! With a few recolors I'm sure it can be a cute, cozy corpo-ish attire ✨👌

Hi again! So, I FINALLY got to read the latest Thicker Than update (had a few pretty busy weeks) and damn it was so good!
Our dear not-KGB's NSFW scene was amazing, and it made me think of something funny. In a strange way, I can't help but see my Thicker Than MC as... more of a being of emotions than my Blood Moon MC? Because things go so fast for him, because he feels fear and anguish and also affection and passion so strongly, and also much earlier on than my wolf. Basically, it so happens I pick the most vampire-reluctant and the most emotional answers I can in Thicker Than, while my wolf was as level-headed and diplomatic as possible in Blood Moon. I really dig that "inversion" of expectations.
I also liked the tribute scene a lot. Part of me was tempted to pick the "finding Wu" as a tribute method, but at the same time, my MC never wanted to play the court games, and refusing to pay tribute was the most fitting answer for him. I'm still fascinated by Gaius in that regard - I both love and hate him. He's an incredibly interesting character, and each scene with him is very entertaining (in a terrifying way), but at the same time he's an awful person and I will admit one of the things I most pray for is a way to get rid of him heh.
Oh also, I realized something since I've replayed from scratch - when meeting Erin in the bar, she asks the MC who made them. I thought it was weird my MC could not resist her since he has one point in the path of the Master, and I checked the code. It seems we CAN resist her if we have more than one point in that path, but we can only get one point total at that point in the game, so my assumption is that it's a coding error and it should be "more than 0" instead of 1?
Anyway, hope that helps, and thanks for the great update!
Thank you for that bug report! I sometimes get confused with the code and make silly mistakes like that. I'll fix it up in the next update. 💙
I'm really glad people are enjoying the no tribute route. I'm going to try and make all the tribute routes fun (I am so excited to write the money-tribute path).
I'm also glad you like/hate Gaius. That is the vibe I'm going for with him.

BTAS, Gotham, Arkham Jervis has a crush on a Scarecrow assistant who also likes disturbing stuff and people feel weird around her.
"She's just a little quirky!"
I had a lot of fun messing around with this one. I hope you like it!
Tw: taxidermy, dead animal mention, gore/violence mention
For the sake of my own fun, let's make up some interests and background for our fake assistant. Neurodivergent, socially clumsy but tries to be friendly- her home is decorated with grotesque horror memorabilia, articulated animal skeletons, taxidermy and preserved bugs. She did at least half of them herself. Naturally attracted to many of common fears or things that make people grossed out. Wants to talk about them anyways. With that said-
Btas
- Ooooooohhhhh my god please don't stab him.
- HAHA HE MEANS HELLO HOW ARE YOU? Always exceedingly polite and it's only partly because he's nervous.
- Shes so beautiful and uniquely herself and terrifying and-
- His crush is really confusing at first because she's intimidating to him? Yes, absolutely fitting for someone working with Scarecrow. But besides some darker quirks, he's rather... whimsy.
- It's when she's so kind and genuine to him that it falls into place and he realizes that he's in trouble. There's a moment where he has to come to terms with the fact that he is also kind of strange and makes people feel weird and uncomfortable- and she doesn't judge him for it!
- Once he actually works up the nerve to tell her and she actually accepts him? That changes everything.
- Expect him to fully divulge in all his weird special interests and do his best to indulge in hers! It's not so scary once he sees the process. He had to do a lot of necropsies and anatomical studies to become a neuroscientist, after all.
- Will get very defensive if anyone acts nervous around her or rude. She's better than all of them!
- If you haven't seen "Red Flags" by Tom Cardy (ft. Montaigne) on YouTube, you should because it's the vibe for this pairing. Slight warning the red flag in the song is that the dates favorite movie is Human Centipede so if that's a trigger, avoid.
Gotham
- We're going to assume both Scarecrow and his assistant are older/adults for this scenario.
- It might bother him to see the amount of dead things all around her space. Yet he's seen enough mansions of old money to be familiar with pieces like these.
- At first he finds the horror memorabilia a bit over the top. But he sees how quiet and dedicated she is. To... everything, really. How she actually listens to him when he speaks. What others might think of as a "creepy stare" is her giving full attention, which he actually appreciates!
- When he does realize his feelings, he decides he's going to court her in a gentlemanly fashion.
- First he seeks to gift his crush something special. It's a piece he has to really search for at auctions and antique stores until he found the perfect one- a special display cabinet to fit on her shelf. The start of her own cabinet of curiosities!
- The second is asking her out where he can take her to see all the wonderful little holes in the walls he's discovered around Gotham... finishing off with a projector movie in his home. Tonights show? 1960 horror classic "Eyes without a Face" with subtitles!
- He keeps his hands to himself unless she initiates. And then, very politely, he takes her to her home after and kisses her knuckle as he says goodnight.
- He wonders if she likes hypnosis? He supposes he'll find out it anyone is ever mean to her because that is definitely what's going to happen.
Arkham
- 100% ready to be a freak about this.
- He was already pretty dark both in his actions and mentally before he got locked up in iso in arkham and then his brains served scrambled by Strange. The disturbing aspects of her interests don't startle him in the least.
- If anything he watches her with hearts in his eyes as she handles the specimens on her "work" desk when he comes to visit Scarecrow to discuss plans.
- "You must have soft hands to work with something so... delicate. Delicate, delicate, you look affectionate to your creations. Just how do you go to development?" Tell him all the details!
- If she isn't aware, Jon definitely mentions that his friend has got a crush. To be wary. And that he can "crush" it if needed. She simply smiles and waves it off.
- She gives Jervis a taxidermy white rabbit dressed in waistcoat with a little pocket watch- just like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland... yes, he gets emotional. It's SO thoughtful! He's going to have to find a special place for it to display!
- They are going to assists each other in murder and villain plots. Couples bonding! He gave her teeth he made his enemies yank out of their own skulls ♡
- If anyone were to mock her or make her feel poorly because of the wonderful person she is, well... they'll just have to play a role in his next tea party, won't they?

this is. certainly something i’m posting. but fuck it we ball
here’s all the lethal company fnaf monsters
- they’re all nightmare or bonnie themed (excluding the ghosts) because of william’s influence over them👍
manticoil: effectively a bird lol. poses 0 threat ever, nothing rlly fits this role lol
roaming locusts: …locust. nothing rlly fits this role lol
spore lizard: almost made this nightmare chica, but couldn’t find a better fit for nutcracker so she’s that now. nothing rlly fits this role lol
hoarding bug: plushtrap cause his small stature but also cause i think he’s most likely to just fucking steal shit. also most likely to make the “yippee!” noise.
hygrodere: ohhhh the blob maybe? cause like pool of agony->pool of kids melted together forever. ok yeah i dig that.
earth leviathan: this is a giant fucking worm. nothing really fits that role lol
bunker spider: princess quest glitchtrap goop because it moves slow enough to warrant this role>thumper and would probably set up webs to catch people like the spider in game. also so many connections i could make out of that
snare flea: princess quest rabbit head cause it eats ur head like a snare flea does
forest giant: nightmare cause big bear eat people. also contended glitchtrap for this role but glitchtrap isn’t quite mindless enough i dont think
baboon hawk: freddles cause the baboon hawk mechanic is that if it’s 1v1 they’ll run away but if it’s 2v1 they’ll attack you. so long as they have more numbers than your group then they’ll attack
circuit bee: these are bees with lightning powers. nothing really fits that role lol
masked/mimic: …the mimic. but you can’t see it’s the mimic because it’s wearing a company jumpsuit and it’s only real difference is its lack of defining features and its rudimentary behavior.
ghost girl: cassidy because i think she should be allowed to blow people up by touching them
eyeless dog: becomes eyeless bear, aka nightmare freddy. can only hear things
coil head: spring bonnie because HEAR ME OUT. operates like a weeping angel. when you catch it it stops and creaks heavily with the force with which it stopped. and instead of replacing your head with a coil, it SPRINGLOCKS YOU!!!!!
bracken: toy bonnie, they just look similar lol. would’ve been nightmarionne if not for nightmarionne being used in the jester
thumper: nightmare mangle my beloved. because she can run at you really fast but can’t make turns very well so she skids into the wall headfirst at top speed sometimes 😭😭
jester: CHARLIE!!!!! cause puppet+music box. sometimes charlie pops out to talk to whoever she’s following but she’s only aggro when she’s nightmarionne
nutcracker: nightmare chica; glitchtrap contended for this spot as well cause i thought he’d be funny with a gun but that was mostly out of a loss of where to put him until i realized chica would work a lot better here; the cupcake operating as the eye the nutcracker has, and instead of a gun firing at you she just chases you if her cupcake sees you move
i DO want to put glitchtrap somewhere really bad and rn i’m considering him just being like. either another version of the ghost girl (they skip the same lol) or the company’s ai that’s actually sending the afton kids on this trip. the only thing with both of these is it kinda severs his connection with vanessa and that makes me sad :( making him the forest giant would’ve been cool as he’d’ve been the biggest enemy in the game and it would be TERRIFYING to be scooped up and eaten by him, but i just don’t vibe with 1. dumbing him down to the forest giant’s level 2. making the forest giant any goddamn smarter than he needs to be 🤨 inescapable fuck.
SO. that’s where i’m at rn. suggestions for blank ones are welcome but otherwise i’ll just keep them as they are cause they are mostly environmental anyway :3

What are some of your favorite headcannons on Anne?
Anon, you have great timing, because I just watched some Amphibia with my roommate and her friend >:D
I love headcanoning her as romance-favorable/sex-rupulsed aroace and transfem :D
She has sciatica in her right leg- this is totally projection (because I also have sciatica in my right leg), but it also makes sense because she’s bound to walk a bit funky because of the one shoe, right? And my theory is that I have sciatica because I also walk a bit funky so now Anne has sciatica, too. I gift this to her lovingly.
Other than liking K-Pop, I headcanon that Anne likes indie rock- stuff like Vampire Weekend and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, maybe. I’m basing this off of the vibe of No Big Deal, which she wrote.
She’s literally such a good chef. Maybe even better than her parents/grandfather. If she wasn’t a herpetologist, she’d be a chef.
Speaking of a herpetologist- for her job, she gets a green pickup truck. If the worlds aren’t seperated, she gets one with a bench seat in front so she can fit her entire family. Two humans and a frog up front, and two frogs and a human in back. Frobo can ride in the bed of the truck.
Sprig names it the Frogmobile. Much to Anne’s chagrin, it sticks.
Her first name is actually Annabell but she hates it. She goes by Anne at every opportunity.
She eventually gets her name legally changed to Anne Savisa Boonchuy-Plantar
When she still had her Calamity powers, leaves would actually grow in her hair, due to her powers. This is why her leaves and sticks visibly grow when she uses her powers. If she didn’t lose her powers, she would need someone to help her trim all her plantgrowth. In a world where Earth and Amphibia aren’t separated, the only two people she trusts to actually clip her leaves are her mom and Sprig.
Related, if the worlds were able to stay together, Anne and Sprig would develop a relationship that’s a mash up of best friends/siblings/QPPs. They’re idiots who share one braincell (affectionate).
She can’t keep her right shoe on to save her life. This is a lifelong thing and not just an Amphibia thing.
She uses the Plantar Family Hunting Dance to capture specimens for the aquarium and also to fend off large predator animals.
She can make actual frog noises. Related, Sasha does a terrifying Toad battle cry.
She becomes a lot more acrobatic after Amphibia and actually starts doing a little gymnastics as a hobby after she gets home.
I know it’s canon that she legitimately likes eating bugs, but I’d like to think she starts eating them as snacks at school and work. She, Sasha, and Marcy all gain reputations as the girls who like eating bugs as snacks. Anne will also cook with them and has roped in her parents to liking them, too.
On a slightly angstier note: if we follow the canon ‘verse, Anne finds it really damn hard to sleep alone after she gets back for good. She slept with the other Plantars in the same room for upwards of seven months during a war (they probably had to share a room in the tunnels), so it’s hard to sleep alone, after that. She keeps waking up with the fierce need to check on her frog family. She can’t do that anymore.
She uses her phone a lot less after Amphibia. She really enjoys getting outside and going to the forest and stuff. Swamps are her favorite and she’s actually a pretty decent fisherman, now.
Nobody she knows can rival her greenthumb. She starts a vegetable garden when she gets back from Amphibia.
Anne becomes an accidental internet celebrity after the invasion and she doesn’t even really notice because she uses social media a lot less. She mostly posts pictures and talks about amphibians and her garden.
Not as much as Marcy or Sprig, but Anne is an artist, too. She likes keeping it as a hobby, though.
She writes songs in her spare time and plays them on her guitar.
Man I should probably stop now huh alfsdhjlkdfsh

Ok, so this is my first post to tumblr, and I don't know if I'll ever make more. But fuck it, anything for jrwi.
Spoiler warning for all of bitb under the cut
Welcome to my Essay:
Why Everyone Lived in BITB
Ok, so the main theme of bitb – intentional or not – is friendship and love.
Kian first died because of his love for Becky, Rolan's parents loved him too much and smothered him, leading to his death, and to bug Rolan leaving, Kian's parents didn't love him enough, leaving him neglected, Rand's mom loves him, but struggles to understand him at times, and his father seems to not love him at all. Hell, the whole thing started, because Rand failed to show that he does love Rachel. The campaign is even started with the love our 3 main characters share. Because dnd – as fun as it is – could not have been the only reason they came back together. Whether that is a platonic or romantic love is something up to interpretation, but either way they all care deeply for one another.
We also see all 3 struggling with their own guilt and self doubts about not showing enough love, or fear of not being loved – Rolan and his parents and him leaving Rand behind, Rand and Rachel, as well as him feeling as though he's a disappointment and will never achieve anything with his life, and Kian with the fear that should anyone find out he's not really a rockstar they won't like him anymore.
When the apocalypse starts, it doesn't seem to really go for strangers, it goes for people they all know and care about. Of course this is most likely just to make sure there's more drama, but regardless it doesn't matter, because it is what happened for this world.
As it goes on, we see our characters separate, and ironically, this is when it gets hardest for them. This is when Kian dies, this is when Rolan gets attacked, when Rand gets attacked. It is when they are alone, isolated, without those they care about.
Yet when they come together it is when they persevere; it is when they find the most clues, when they seem to get the farthest. Even though Rand is scared that Rolan is a bug, he realizes this is still his friend, and has been for years. Not only that, but Rolan probably would've lost himself to his instincts had Rand not been there. He's terrified of what he is, and had he been alone, unable to fully recognize someone he cares about is there, and who he needs to help survive all this, he may have just gone back to being a soldier bug because of his panic, fear, and disgust at what he is.
Through finding himself he's able to locate the queen. Who is it? Rachel.
Now, I'll be entirely honest, Kian isn't able to do a whole lot during this, but I honestly think that had he not been there – had he not died again, to his sister! – Rand would not have been able to bring himself to kill the queen, because he wouldn't have snapped out of it (at least somewhat). He also helps reveal the queen is behind Rachel, and protects them somewhat by making the queen unable to see them.
When Rand started doubting, when his sister was about to turn him, it's Rolan who cuts off the wire like tendril stuck into his head.
When the grenades won't be able to kill the queen, and Rolan has to make the choice to run away and live aware, or die a soldier for the chance of saving them, he doesn't leave. He jumps and sacrifices not only his life – possibly, but we'll get there in a second – but his sense of self as well to allow Rand to make the throw.
At the end we are given Rand hugging his sister, Rachel saying "you've changed." as a glitter like magic passes over the town. We are not told if this is Rand's brain providing him what he needs to see as he bleeds out from his wounds, we are not told what happens to the bugs, we are not told what happens to the people killed, turned into materials for the hive. We are given the choice to decide for ourselves what happened.
I think Rand survived, as that fits most with the 80s horror movie vibe. The final girl trying their best to move on. But supposedly, his friends did not.
And here's the thing, to me it makes the most sense that everyone is ok. Because what does Rand have at the end if Kian and Rolan are truly dead? Rat seemed to be his only other friend and he died long ago, we don't know if his parents are still alive, and Rachel – if truly ok – would be the only person he has left.
Which really doesn't fit the theme of love and friendship. Rand, just left alone, his mind broken and no one left to help him get better? He can't go to a therapist like Kian would suggest, who'd believe him? He'd be locked in an insane asylum. The chances of him getting a job is low as most places when hiring are somewhat discriminatory to those with mental illnesses, especially in the 80s. Everyone in town just thinks he's some scumbag stoner, and no way would he say he defeated the queen and ended the apocalypse – especially if it resulted in his 2 best friends' deaths.
If we were to follow the theme of friendship it would imply that both Rolan and Kian are ok. It's can also be inferred Kian is ok due to the fact he mentions his next song should be "Smoke with the Devil", a song we know he made – yes it could just be a fun easter egg, but it could also be a canonical thing he made – and we know he didn't make it before the events of the campaign, as he mentioned that he should make it while on the boat they took to go kill the queen. We also know that friendship itself is able to bring people back. Kian is literally revived, through the power of friendship. While Rand may not have used magic, it's not impossible to say Kian would still be revived again, through different means.
Following that logic, anyone who was turned into a bug/eaten by a bug is probably ok. Meaning Rolan would be alive. Whether he'd still be a bug is up for debate – though personally I like the idea of Rolan still being a bug (maybe because he wasn't really apart of the hivemind until right when the queen died, meaning he couldn't fully establish a link and thus wouldn't be back to human, and wouldn't be part of the hivemind (or maybe only partly); or it could be because he was one of the first killed, and now his human body is beyond saving) – but either way he'd be ok.
And even if that wasn't the case, if Kian is ok, Rolan would still be ok. Because if Kian isn't ok because the bug people got turned back, it would probably be because the people eaten/used for building materials were ok. which in that case, would mean the bugs either died – unlikely they would all just die immediately if the magic didn't get rid of them – or are still alive. If still alive, then they would probably be drifting listlessly without their queen, possibly no longer a hivemind, stuck without orders and probably slowly starving to death.
Whether the bugs starve to death wouldn't fully matter, because regardless, Rolan would be ok. Again, probably not fully connected to the hivemind if there is still a connection, but he would be able to survive as a bug through human means – whether just wandering around in the wild or living in human society (would probably depend on if he's stuck in his instincts (also for the sake of a happy ending I'm guessing Rand and Kian would find him eventually)). He would be able to survive in ways other bugs couldn't because he's done so for years. and even if it might not be at the forefront of his mind and thoughts if he's stuck in his instincts, there would still be a part of his telling him he can do those thing – eat human food and not people, wear clothes, not go full bug – because we know the bugs remember the parts of their human lives. But not only does Rolan have his human life, he's also spent around half his life as a bug, living as a human, being human.
While yes there are other options for how bitb ended, and things I've probably overlooked or missed, or just forgot to add in my writing of this rant, I do think it's 100% possible for our boys in the bayou to all have survived, and get the happy ending they all deserve.

bc I doubt that I'd run into the same bug that allowed Bertalan to romance multiple people, I checked out if there is a polyamory mod and there is but it also looks... terrifying and considering how bug ridden the game was for me late act 3 I kinda don't want to risk further breaking with mods
so I suppose I'll be playing as I did before and if I do run into the jealousy convos of either Gale or L'Z then I'll go with Gale bc a) way back the rng picked him and b) I kinda want to see how that romance looks when everything plays out like it should, with L'Z I got to see that already, sure they broke up but it was a deliciously sad and fitting parting of ways, I was well fed and satisfied
Gale however was... off... somehow, I can't really pinpoint what it was about the dock scene that felt that way bc on paper it made sense and yet... something felt just... off, maybe bc he was at his most punchable for the lack of better word or idk, but it does make me curious to see a different ending to him, regardless if it's better or worse tho better would be preferable (although I do admit that him and Berci being messy exes also sounds kind of fun but if I do end up sticking with that i'll do some rewriting bc... like I said I'm not vibing with the dock scene)
but at the same time the idea of Berci still ending up in Avernus with Wyll and Karlach also tickles my brain, there is just something fittingly ironic for him to try wooing two people who are way too much for him, only to end up settling down with his two closest friends instead so yeah idk we'll see how I end up juggling things

Chapter 7 Rabbits, Rabbits, Rabbits, my favourite of this Chapters "Brought to you By" is IT'S YA BOIIIIII...the others are also good but that's one of my favourite memes so I have to choose it. This chapter also has a handy note telling me to pause and stretch and drink water and my first time reading through it was very handy. This Chapters Art gives me the slightest of wiggins
1616 When Shadi got The Chop
I'm getting Sandman vibes....

Bakura? Is that you?
Yami negotiating with the opposing sides pieces, whatta King
I'm with Yugi I did not know that Duel Monsters went in for Ren Faire
"PONTAYDO CHIMP" "POTAYGO CHID" I kinda love the Man-Eater Bugs, they just wanna eat Chips
Aw Mahad is confused about potatoes too
The Parasite receives no loyalty from his pieces
Kuriboh is fulled with Murderous Excitement...Kuriboh also knows chess??
Bakura taking the moves before the Parasite can... And It can't get revenge eh heh heh
Oops I forgot that the body is still Bakura's...The Blue Eyes White Dragon is very single minded
Celtic Guardian Riding The Man(And Potato Chip)-Eater Bug determined to be Knighted
The Blue Eyes is running on Spite, so long as the Parasite wants Bakura she'll protect him
...She's trying to hatch him. Aww.
They've Invoked the Hippo again
What is The Red Coat planning over there with that Celtic Guardian??
The Duel Monsters know rock-paper-scissors? I'm pretty sure playing against someone with no hands is cheating or at least unethical
RedCoat you continue to interest me with your vast amounts of knowledge. Who are you?
Welp The Parasite is now even more creepy. He done a murder...I mean honestly he's probably done quite a few but this one was a lead in to even worse things... How'd he get stopped last time?
Ah that most Ancient of Invocations "FUCK IT"
Welp Tristan felt that outside the Dome of Doom... as did his audience of Foxes
"Oh Good The Mad Man with a Millenium Item Doesn't have the God Cards (tm)" ..."Instead they are in the hands of A Mad Man (Teen) with a Millenium Item... and a very tired overworked Older Brother"
Ishizu Thanks the Gods for the Elder of her two Brothers
Shadi that's some truly terribly phrasing right there. When faced with Traumatised children one should act with Compassion....
"Mur-the most extreme self defense"....riiiiight
Mr-With-A-K!
Joey spreading some hate towards his Dad...Male DNA Donor...
He's trying so hard to hold on to his scary factor...and failing so hard to do so
How strong is Téa? She just broke metal with her legs??
"The Heart of the Cars says you're a little bitch" The Cards have spoken Mr-With-A-K
Marshmallon... I love how Mai's just instantly in love
Ok so not only is Téa strong as all get she's also a Beast at Duel Monsters, good to know
Aw Tristan shares his skill points with Joey in TTRPGs
"Blorbo from the Feywild"
Téa is genuinely summoning the Duel Monsters...How strong is she in Magic to be doing that?
Welp Mr-With-A-K is really really screwed now...Op he's trying fire. You cannot burn away all of your problems dude. Especially when your problems are a terrifying Ballerina who could probably kill you by flexing
...Different armour...
...I think that man was being Racist.... He was looking for an Ancient Egyptian Guardian of Ancient Egyptian Artifacts and He thought the Egyptian man answering the door was Staff? Not very smart
Van Helsing and the Infamous Count!! I love picking a up references
"Hello Adopted, my name is Bakura" Bakura's so little and polite...and his Dad is a super Asshole... He's going in the Bad Parent Box
...Bakura's Dad may actually need to have his own box for Terrible People Inside the Bad Parent Box, wow
The more I read the more I want this man to suffer... not necessarily die, or at least not immediately but suffer, immensely, yes. Another persons life is not yours to Sacrifice, especially not a child
The Rabbit from the start?
...Grandpa... your past is just wild
Aw Dad and Uncle Shadi getting all those hugs
...Well that's... something? It's no longer in Bakura's body, that's a good thing right?
...Red Coat you are hella sus...
Yes Go For the Groin!! You let him go! You Evil Parasitic Demon!!
...Dragon penis... The Red Coat is very offended by this...I'm starting to get an idea...
The Celtic Guardian finally gets what it's wanted from the start

Pegasus sets himself on fire... and Croquets still Stoned
...Hodgekiss' ass gets set on fire "THE PHAROAH SET MY ASS ON FIRE?"
Marik now thinks the Pharoah is trying to kill him and maim his friends. Dude the Pharoah doesn't even know who you are
Well one good thing is that people are used to Cursed Items...though probably not that cursed
THE RABBIT!!!
You said it Shadi "Destiny is some Real Bullshit"
I love that Bakura's brand of Spellcasting involves swearing
Oh Oh my, Kuriboh is flirting with the Blue Eyes White Dragon. This is hilarious
DIE Parasite!! Muahahahah
"They have Comic-Con in Hell"
Mahad may have used a bit too much fire power. Lol Bakura
RED ROBE!!!!
I don't think Mahad has ever been referred to as "Bruh" before
"Cheezy Prison" lol
I warned you Mr With-A-K, you poked the hippo now you suffer the consequences
"What if she kills him" "Theres no cops on this island" wow
Their first kiss...scented with Propane and Clown Blood...Aw?
Pegasus why do you own a Gauzy "Oh my Husband has tragically died?!" gown?
Cecelia probably liked Terry Pratchett
...that Rabbit is I think a different Rabbit... A New and very Shady rabbit....
...A Hare... not a rabbit... Harvey the Hare....
Oh no Kemo
Tristan Bakura is not a werewolf.
Téa disappointed Tristan thinks any of the blood is hers really doesn't he know her at all
I wonder who all was involved in the Yugi/Téa bet
Yugi's so used to his friends treating him as a comfort object/soft animal/hot water bottle
"Very Important Goth Bonding Moment" Bakura and Yugi both count as Goth, I guess I forgot that
...Are Bakura and Yugi gonna be another arm of the Poly?
Is the damned Chupacabra going to be a thing?
...I've learned things again...disturbing things
Ugh adults thinking they get a say in children's (especially unrelated children) hair length. That teacher deserved to be freaked out
Tristans gonna be hella good at whatever he decides to do in the future
THE RUSSIANS "My Weed Dealer's Mechanic's Friend's Nephew-In-Law's Friends'" These are the "Mad Reliable" people!
Who doesn't know how to jump out of a moving aircraft?

ok so that sounds totally rad but unfortunately even though I love viddy games I am terrible at all of them and ive heard hk is SUPER hard so I'd probs die too much to get to the cool story 😂
ouuughh yea it's pretty hard. people who do no-hit or no death runs terrify me. i dont think im ever gonna try steel soul. (steel soul is like hardcore mode, one life permadeath deal)
well, any other lore i can think of is: before she went into her deep sleep, one of the three "dreamers" i mentioned before said she would only do it if he gave her a child, so PK and her had the one character hornet together. (she's the pointy one with the pinkish red cloak) so she's half sibs with ghost (the tiny dude you play as) and the hollow knight (the really tall pointy one).
there's another character you run into every so often named quirrel. he's very inquisitive and friendly, but he's still skilled with a nail. (nails are the weapons most of the bugs seem to use, you get to upgrade yours throughout the game.) he was the apprentice to one of the other dreamers monomon she was like a knowledge keeper of sorts. he wandered out of the kingdom and lost his memory (as all bugs do apparently when they leave hallownest) and he came back later and you meet him.
my favorite place in the whole game is the city of tears, the music and the whole vibe is so melancholy and sad? like that's a huge reason i love the game, the worlds already over and everything is empty and gone. you only see and hear echoes of what used to be. :\ the city is raining perpetually and it's a deep shade of blue, the architecture is pretty too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i like to stand in front of the statue and listen. it's very peaceful. i have the top pic as my lock screen.
bro idk the game gets me so emotional, it like touches a specific part of my soul. it's beautiful. (id highly suggest listening to the whole soundtrack on spotify or whatever platform you use. ive joked w myself if my story ever got some sort of adaption id like christopher larkin to score it. lolol as if)
one part of the game i haven't really done is the pantheon of hallownest, it's like... you fight the bosses you already have again but... worse. and harder. also the path of pain, it's a really difficult platforming uh, puzzle/map i guess. you get a special cutscene when you complete it. i haven't gotten far at all in it. 🥲 i really want to complete it though.
the bosses are pretty difficult, but once you really get the pattern down pat and get a set of charms you like to work with, it's a lot more tolerable. speaking of that, you can acquire these things called charms which give/boost certiain abilities. you have a limited amount of "charm notches" to fill. i think the ones i like best are quickslash (well, makes your nail quicker), weaversong (gives you little weaver ((spider)) buddies who can damage enemies for you, and sharp shadow. (you gain the ability to dash through things, and equipping this charm makes it so you can damage them too.)
my first round playing HK was a disaster because i have never really played these kind of platform-y boss fight games before. just getting out of the first tiny area in the flipping game was a chore. but then i worked my way up and have beaten one of the hardest bosses twice, so thats... good. i suppose..
oh another thing i should mention if you have options in the game for different endings, depending on the things you pick up, enemies you defeat, and how you fight HK at the 'end' of the game. there's technically like, six endings in total? like you can either kill HK and absorb the infection yourself, enter HK's mind and kill the radiance, have hornet assist you in killing HK and getting you both sealed inside- etc etc.
one sad little part of the game is on one area, the crystal caverns, you meet this little miner bug myla. she sings to herself while she mines, but visiting her over time as the game goes you can see her getting taken over by the infection until eventually at one point she attacks you and you have to kill her :(
one challenge you can do is this pkace called the colosseum of fools. its has 3,,, uhh,, levels i guess you can do. i've only done the first 2, ive always gotten overwhelmed right before the end of the third one. you get geo (hallownest's currency) and some other rewards, like a piece of pale ore you need to upgrade your nail. it's basically wave of enemies and the terrain changes to make things difficult, like having you jump on platforms and putting spikes on the ground.
anywho, a really good person to watch on youtube is mossbag, he does a lot of lore videos, and there's a mod called hollow knight randomizer which is reallllyy funny to me. i'm probably forgetting a lot too lololol
thanks for asking me about stuff 🥺💗

Liminal: Part 1
Tumblr media
Pairing: EXO x Female Reader
Genre: Witch!AU
Word Count: 4.5k
Warnings: Some strong language
Summary: Magic. Murder. Mystery. You don't know when this became your life, but your choice in the matter is long gone. Someone is after you, someone is killing witches, and when a coven approaches you and tells you you're one of them? You're sure they're crazy. What's so magical about a girl stuck working in a greenhouse?
------------------------------------------------
Junmyeon swipes up the newspaper that Chanyeol had thrown down on the table with a sigh. Kyungsoo watches the anger take over his face as he reads the article they have all already had the displeasure of seeing.
Another senseless murder.
Another witch dead.
Everyone in the room shares the same frustration. The same anger and helplessness that is fleeting across Junmyeon's face at this very second, and they have no idea how to stop it.
This is the sixth body that has shown up in the past two months. The police think it’s a serial killer, but they have no real idea of what's happening. All they keep managing to do is get in the way of the people who actually have a chance of solving the murders - and they needed to be solved quickly before anyone else is killed.
None of the covens or elders can figure out why this is happening. What would someone gain from killing witches? Even worse, what would someone gain from killing witches that didn’t practice magic?
That is part of what shocked Kyungsoo. Not only were witches being slaughtered, but there were entire lines of witches hidden from the covens. Sure, he had heard of people going into hiding after the war centuries ago, but he hadn’t realized how many there were or that they were still in hiding after a couple hundred years.
Did those who were killed even know they were magical or was that knowledge lost to them a long time ago?
It was a surprise to the elders too. When the first few deaths occurred, none of them realized it was witches being killed off. The only reason anyone figured it out is because an Elder works on the police force. Kyungsoo didn’t know if it was his instincts or something about the way they were murdered that caused red flags to go off in the Elder’s head, but if it wasn’t for him, they still wouldn’t know. He raised concern, and others began tracing back the deceased familial lines, ultimately discovering it’s their own being murdered.
“What should we do?” Seoyeon quietly asks.
“You carry on with what you’ve been doing.” The High Priestess says as she sweeps into the room. “You keep perfecting your skills, and let the Elders keep tracing family lines.”
Jongdae watches her from across the room, already shaking his head as she speaks. “That’s not enough. We need to find these other hidden witches before whoever is killing them does.”
“How do you suppose you’re going to find someone you don’t even know exists?” She asks calmly, clasping her hands in front of her as she comes to a stop next to Junmyeon. When nobody offers her an answer, she continues. “Running around like a bunch of blind mice isn’t going to solve anything. Obviously, report it if you see any suspicious activity. Otherwise, let the Elders handle this for now.”
Her words frustrate some of the members, but they leave no room for argument. Besides, only fools would argue with their High Priestess. Though, something about her words sends a thought through Kyungsoo’s brain.
He has noticed suspicious activity lately at a place that he frequents quite often. At first, he thought it was just paranoia because of the murders, but now he thinks it’d be stupid to ignore. Especially when someone’s life could be at stake.
“The greenhouse,” his deep voice rumbles, causing everyone to look at him. “I’ve noticed odd people hanging around there, and they only started coming once the murders began. I thought it was in my head, but now I’m not so sure.”
He ignores the way his cousin’s eyebrows furrow and focuses solely on the High Priestess, who nods at his words.
“I’ll check into the employees that work there. For now, continue going there to keep an eye on things.”
------------------------------------------------
You hum to yourself as you bend down and check the sage plants for any bugs. There’s only about an hour left of work, and you figure this is the quickest way to pass the time. Plus, you didn’t mind this part of the job. It’s mindless and lets you escape into your fantasy world that is always quietly calling your name.
“Did you know that some people use sage to ward off evil?”
You jump when you first hear the deep voice next to you, but a smile quickly grows on your face. Kyungsoo. One of the greenhouse’s most consistent customers and definitely one of your more favorite customers. His monotone voice would make you think he’s bored, but you could always hear the passion in it when he talked about plants.
You straighten up to meet his stare. “Is that why I get the random terrified customer that comes in asking for it?”
The smile immediately falls from his face as he processes your words. “What?”
“I’m joking, Kyungsoo,” you tell him as you hold back a laugh. “Besides, aren’t there specialty shops for that?”
“Probably.” He shrugs his shoulders before a curious gaze takes over. “So, do you believe in things like that?”
“In evil spirits?” A small laugh escapes from you. “No, not really. Ghosts, demons, magic… I don’t believe in any of it, but if someone comes in here looking for sage to protect themselves, I’m definitely not going to stop them.”
Kyungsoo nods at your words, but you can tell his mind is elsewhere. Either lost in a world of magic and evil or just in a daze. You glance past him to make sure everything else in the greenhouse is going okay and notice another customer watching you.
Changmin. Someone who only recently started coming to the greenhouse but wasted no time in trying to get to know you.
“Do you need any help Changmin?” you ask, causing Kyungsoo to look over at him.
The two make eye contact for a moment, and you curiously take in the sight. Did they know each other? Because the vibes you’re getting aren’t exactly friendly.
“I do, actually.” Changmin finally says, ripping his gaze away from Kyungsoo to look at you.
“Okay. One second.” You tell him, focusing back on the man in front of you. “Did you need anything else, Kyungsoo?”
He eyes Changmin a little longer before turning back toward you. “I’m good. Thanks. I’ll see you around, though.”
You nod and watch him walk away before making your way over to Changmin. His brown eyes still watch Kyungsoo until he’s out of the store, causing you to furrow your brows in confusion.
“What’s up?” You ask in an attempt to get his attention.
“How long have you known him?” He asks, leveling you with a stare.
You jerk in surprise at the unexpected question. There’s no obligation to answer him, but you can’t deny you’re curious why someone you barely know would ask that.
“He’s been shopping here for a couple years. Why?”
Changmin slowly nods before looking back in the direction Kyungsoo had left in. You study his side profile, taking in the locked jaw and intense stare. They had to know each other, and not in a good way.
“Changmin?”
He studies you for a moment before saying, “I wouldn’t trust him if I were you.”
Your mouth parts slightly as you try to take in his words. Who just says something like that, and why did he think he could say it to you?
A smile grows on his lips as he takes in your expression. “Just some friendly advice.”
“…Right.” You finally find your voice, though a weird feeling fills you. Something about this entire thing feels off, and you don’t want to be dragged into it.
“Well, thanks for the help.” He winks at you and heads toward the entrance.
A minute passes before you find your bearings again. That entire encounter was awkward, and what’s more, you never even helped Changmin, so you didn’t know what exactly he was thanking you for.
Pushing the last five minutes from your mind, you pick up a nearby watering can and start giving some of the drier plants a little bit of water. You follow the same monotonous routine as you normally do and sigh. You’re so bored… and not just here but in general.
Working at the greenhouse is fun, and it’s refreshing to be surrounded by nature and warmth every single day, but it isn’t enough. You crave excitement and adventure. You want to travel the world and experience all that life has to offer, and you know you won’t find that here in the greenhouse.
You want more.
As your night wraps up, you turn off the lights and begin to head out, turning to lock up the greenhouse before you go. It’s the same routine that you always have, but something about tonight feels different. Something in the air feels different.
Brushing off the odd feeling, you throw the greenhouse keys in your bag and begin the journey home. It’s nights like these that you’re grateful you only live a couple blocks away. You get to tune into your thoughts and let your mind wander in the peace and quiet of the night, but tonight, that odd feeling remains.
You glance over your shoulder to glimpse the empty streets. Vehicles parked along the road for the night and a few trees scattered along the sidewalk greet you, but that’s all. No other human being catches your attention; however, you still can’t shake the feeling growing inside of you. The feeling that you’re being followed.
Quickening your pace, you try to remain calm and clearheaded. The odds that you’re being followed aren’t very high, but the recent string of murders in the city has you feeling on edge anyway. You debate if you should continue going home or if you should go somewhere else, but there’s no public place between the greenhouse and your apartment, so you continue on your path.
It’s probably just paranoia, especially since it’s nearly all the city can talk about. The news, the papers, social media… it’s everywhere, and that’s why you assume the odd feelings are just in your head. You’re psyching yourself out… but that still doesn’t stop you from feeling a sense of relief the second you get into your apartment.
Locking the door immediately behind you, you take a deep breath before letting out a breathy laugh at your actions. They were warranted, but you still felt a little silly. You turn on the lights and move to drop your bag on the table near the door. Before you can take any further steps into the apartment, your phone rings and you phish it out of your pocket, barely glancing at the caller ID because you already know who it is.
“Hey, mom,” you greet her.
“Did you make it home okay?” The worry is clear in her voice, so you avoid any sassy responses and move to sit on your couch.
“Yep! Safe and sound.”
You’ve grown used to the nightly phone calls you’ve been getting from your parents over the past couple of weeks. Ever since the news broke the first couple of murder stories, your parents have been worried sick about you, even more than usual. You’ve been trying to keep them calm and not become frustrated by their actions because you understand. You’re their only child, and you live alone in a dangerous city, but sometimes you really want to forget about the horrors that exist on the other side of your apartment door.
“Good! Make sure your door is locked!”
“It is mom.”
You hear her sigh on the other end of the phone. “You know we just want you safe, sweetie.”
“I know, and I love you for it.”
“Love you too, baby. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.”
You let out a soft laugh as you hang up the phone and drop it on the couch. Turning your head towards the window, you take in the city lights and listen to the soft sounds of the still bustling city that slip through the glass. Your mind can’t help but think about the odd feeling you had when you left work. The feeling that you were being followed. Was it paranoia as you suspected, or something more sinister?
The following days prove to be just as boring as usual, and after your spooky walk home a few days ago, you welcome it. For once in your life, you welcome the quiet, boring life you lead. The only difference you’ve noticed over the past few days is the more frequent visits of Kyungsoo and Changmin. It’s like every time you turn around, one of them is there. It’s almost eerie how they manage to do it.
Kyungsoo is a welcome distraction. He often talks about the plants you have in the greenhouse and similar ones he thinks you should talk your superiors into growing. He often makes comments about magical herbs or ones that’d be used in rituals, and you have to laugh. It’s funny to you how into magic he is, but you can tell he’s passionate about it, so you let him continue telling his stories.
Changmin, on the other hand, seems more concerned about Kyungsoo than you or the greenhouse. You often catch him watching Kyungsoo from a distance, and you know Kyungsoo can feel it because he has caught him several times himself. It’s odd how Changmin doesn’t even bother trying to hide it, and things take a really weird turn when Changmin approaches you about him directly.
‘Didn’t I warn you not to trust that guy?”
The small shovel you’re holding in your hand drops back into the pot as you stand up to greet Changmin. “Hello to you, too.”
His eyebrow quirks up as you ignore his previous sentence. “Hi. Did you not hear what I just said to you?”
“I heard you just fine. What I’m not hearing is an explanation.” He gives you a confused look, so you elaborate. “This is the second time you’ve told me not to trust Kyungsoo, but you’ve yet to give me a reason. Kyungsoo has been nothing but nice to me while you, on the other hand, keep sending him death glares across the greenhouse and telling me not to trust him.”
He studies your expression for a moment before nodding. “I just thought I’d help you out. You’re a nice girl. Maybe a little too nice. Didn’t your parents ever teach you that looks can be deceiving?”
Confusion causes your brows to furrow as you try to figure out how on earth you should even respond to that. This man that you barely knew, not only is telling you not to trust someone but is calling you naïve directly to your face. Who does stuff like this?
“I’m just saying,” he shrugs his shoulders, “maybe watch who you befriend.”
You meet his stare for a moment before saying, “Yeah… I’ll do that.”
For the rest of your shift, all you can think about is how relieved you are that Changmin is gone. The man is starting to creep you out and why he felt like he could tell you who you could and couldn’t trust really bugged you. The two of you are friendly but not friends. You barely know him, so why does he think he can come up to you and say things like that?
“Don’t forget to turn out the lights!” Your coworker reminds you as she breezes past towards the door.
“I got it, don’t worry. See you tomorrow!”
She throws you a smile as she exits the greenhouse, and you try to focus on the last-minute things you need to do, but your mind is elsewhere. Sighing, you toss your work gloves into a bin by the counter and move to grab your purse. You’ll deal with the rest tomorrow.
As you walk out of the greenhouse and turn to lock up, you get an eerie sense of déjà vu. You lift your head up and look at the area around you. The sight that greets you causes a bad feeling to work its way up your spine.
People are scattered all over the place. On the sidewalk on each side of the greenhouse and across the street. They stay half-hidden in the shadows. Not enough to show their faces, but enough that you can tell they’re there.
You take a deep breath and try to keep calm while you watch the shadows. There had to be 10 to 15 people around you, and that’s enough to set off your alarm bells because you’d usually only see maybe four people maximum when you closed.
The way they all stand still as they watch you causes your heart rate to spike. You stare at the wooden door in front of you and debate on running back into the greenhouse since the key is still in the lock, but you know that’s not going to stop them from whatever it is they plan on doing. Something tells you they’re here for you and that they won’t stop until they get what they want. You don’t know why, but your body is screaming it at you.
You needed to find a place with people, or at least, a busy street, and there wasn’t any toward your apartment, so you pull the key out of the lock and head in the opposite direction. Your steps are slow as you come close to one of the people leaning against the building next to you. The girl doesn’t move as you pass her, and though you try to find her eyes, it’s like she leans back deeper into the shadows, making it even harder to see her.
Once you pass her, you pick up your pace and almost swear when you hear footsteps behind you. You knew this was going to happen. Now, you just have to be quicker than the rest of them.
Quickening your pace to a jog, you force yourself not to look behind you. Every time the person looks behind themselves in a movie, they fall and bust their ass. That would not be you. However, something else tries to force its way inside your head…
What if these people had something to do with those murders?
You force yourself into a jog, noting the wind has noticeably picked up. Good. Maybe they’ll get tired of going against the wind to follow you. You smile at the thought until you feel the wind push against you even harder.
You stumble a little at the force of it but try to keep going. You ignore the harsh whip of it against your face, but it stings enough that you question where the heck this wind even came from. Was it even supposed to storm today? You could’ve sworn the forecast said sun all day when you woke up.
An even harder gust of wind slams against you, and you find it nearly impossible to move your body. Chancing a glance behind you, you see the people that are following you having an even tougher time. It’s like they’re somehow getting even more wind than you are.
What the hell is going on? You’ve never experienced wind like this. It’s almost… unnatural.
Lightning arcs across the sky, being immediately followed by thunder, and all you can think is “great, a freak storm, that’s exactly what you need right now”. You look up at the sky and feel your face scrunch in confusion. There aren’t any visible clouds, so you’re not entirely sure where this storm is coming from.
More bolts of lightning streak across the sky, lighting up the road around you until suddenly one of the bolts hits a streetlight behind you. The thunder that accompanies the bolt is monstrous, startling you into turning around and searching for damage.
Smoke comes off the light that had just been struck, but before you can process it, another bolt hits the light across from it, sending two of your followers stumbling. You jump back as more bolts begin hitting the road, and that’s when you realize the lightning isn’t following any basic laws of science. Tall buildings, other streetlights, plenty of metal objects surround you, and instead, the lightning hits the ground, bypassing everything. Even odder, the bolts only hit the ground around the people behind you, none of them near you.
Momentarily stunned by the odd storm, you realize this is the perfect distraction to get away. You turn back around and begin to fight against the wind to move. At first, it feels like you’re cemented to the ground, but ever so slightly, it becomes easier to move. You push harder, fearing that if it’s easier for you, it’ll be easier for your followers to move as well.
Wetness suddenly hits your face, distracting you and causing you to look back up at the sky. Rain too? Of course, it makes sense, but there weren’t even any clouds thirty seconds ago. The sky opens up moments later, dropping so much rain on you that you’re drenched instantly. It pelts against you almost painfully, like thousands of needles being jabbed in your skin, and you cry out before you can stop yourself.
Turning your head towards the buildings alongside you, you search for a place to hide out. You can’t stay in this rain any longer, and when you glance behind you, you notice most of the creepy people fleeing the storm, making your sense of urgency dwindle. What you need to do now is find shelter, then as soon as the storm lets up, you can go get help.
Taking a step towards the buildings on your side, you notice a shape approaching you and you immediately tense up. The creepy people didn’t leave like you thought. They just went around to trap you instead. You quickly back away as the figure moves closer to you and notice it’s not as hard to move as it was. The wind is starting to let up as is the rain, allowing you to see the person approaching you.
You blink a few times as you take in his sudden appearance.
“Kyungsoo?”
“Come with me,” he urgently tells you, holding his hand out for you to grab.
You look between his hand and his face as you try to push past the startling confusion you’re feeling. What the hell is he suddenly doing here, and why does he want you to go with him?
“Please! We don’t have a lot of time!”
The urgency in his voice has you looking over your shoulder. You didn’t have a lot of time? Is he talking about those people? How would he know about anything that’s going on?
“Where?” You turn back to him and shout to be heard over the rain.
“Please, just trust me!” He yells, looking behind you.
You send one more peek over your shoulder before glancing down at his hand. Changmin’s words telling you not to trust Kyungsoo work their way into your mind, but you squash them. You barely know Changmin, and a part of you feels like you can trust Kyungsoo. He, at least, feels safer than being out on these streets alone at night.
Taking a deep breath, you place your hand in his and allow him to pull you back in the direction he came from. The two of you run toward the end of the block, and then he pulls you around the corner, where you see a black car already running and waiting for you.
He opens the backdoor, and without question, you jump in. You look up as you find your seat and come face to face with another man. Your movements halt, but Kyungsoo jumps in after you, blocking your only exit. You look up to the front of the car and see two more unfamiliar men in the driver and passenger seats.
Oh. You fucked up. There’s no possible way jumping in an unfamiliar vehicle with three strangers and someone you barely know isn’t a fuck up.
“What the hell, Kyungsoo?” You turn and hiss at him.
“Calm down. Everything’s going to be okay.” He tells you as he places his hand on your arm.
You immediately move away from him, not wanting him to touch you. “Like hell it is!”
Tearing your gaze from Kyungsoo, you look at the other men in the car, and that’s when it hits you. Not a single one of them is paying any attention to you. They’re all concentrating on something behind you, outside of the vehicle. You take a moment to study them as they focus on whatever it is they’re doing.
Next to you is a thin man with brushed-back hair. You see his eyes focusing on the trees as they almost violently sway, and you assume he’s as curious about the wind as you. In the driver seat is a shorter, muscular man. He stares out at the rain like he’s almost in a daze, and an unnerving feeling begins to prod at your skin. Lastly, in the passenger seat is another man, but his face is turned away from you. All you can tell is that he’s looking up at the sky like it holds all the answers.
Slowly, you turn to face Kyungsoo, who’s looking out the back of the car in the direction you came from. He must feel your eyes on him because he quickly turns to face you. You try to find your voice to speak, but the most that comes out is a whisper.
“What the fuck is happening?”
Before he can answer you, you feel movement from your side, and you immediately snap your head in that direction. You meet the cautious stare of the man next to you, the one who was watching the trees, and blink a few times before you realize how quiet it has gotten.
Reluctantly, you pull your gaze away from the man and look out the window, noticing the storm had disappeared as quickly as it came. The night is now silent and eerie. The trees no longer sway, the rain no longer drops, and the lightning is long gone. You sit frozen as you try to figure out how any of this is logically possible until you realize that it’s not just the man next to you that is focused on you. The two men in the front are as well.
You turn to look at Kyungsoo, the only one you know. “You have about five seconds to tell me what the hell is going on.”
He searches your face a moment before nodding. “You’re in danger.”
You quickly open your mouth to argue with how absurd that sounds, but he holds his hand up to quiet you.
“Those people are after you, and they’re not going to stop until you’re dead.”

Hon' if you are accepting prompts (and only if you are!) can I have some spooky Sansa and Jon? I'm still not over them in spooky scenarios so I would love to read anything about it.
And for something a little more specific (in case that helps): maybe ghost!Sansa and Jon moves to her place and she is not happy, but also she loves his dog?
Or maybe Addams AU!
Or maybe Jon is the ghost and Sansa moves into his place?
Or they are talkshow hosts or something and a ghost is trying to get them together?
Or maybe YouTubers AU and their followed bug them until they agree to a Collab and it's Halloween or something like that?
Okay I went all over the place and clearly have too many ideas, but feel free to choose any of you do choose something!
First of all, I guess I'm sort of always taking prompts? I'll never turn them away, though they may also sit in my inbox forever (I'm looking at you, the last anon prompt from when I asked for them back in December...)
Second, spooky prompts! ❤️👻❤️👻❤️ If there's anything I love in this world, it's the supernatural/paranormal. And it may be the middle of summer, but I'm already longing for spooky season and I've been trying to vibe with it but it's hard when the days are so long, hot, and humid. (I desperately want to be able to go outside and not feel like I'm breathing soup, thank you very much.)
Before I get to the prompt itself, because I'm too wordy for my own good - your one prompt of Sansa/Jon is a ghost and the other moves in to their place... well, I've read that fic! It's actually locked on AO3 and I don't know if that means the author doesn't really want people finding it/linking to it, so I won't, but I guess DM me if you wanna know what it is?? I don't know the protocol for that. There's also Haunt Me, Then by the lovely @ode-to-an-inkwell which I read back when I was lurking and I loved it. It's the same base premise, but with a ton more plot!
The prompt I have chosen is the youtuber collab! Because I also love writing about/dissecting social media, apparently.
.
.
Sansa breathes – deep and even – and tries to stay centered in the middle of her group (away from the edges, away from the dark corners and the sounds coming from them and the people she knows are waiting for her there).
She wishes with all her strength that her followers had never found out that she's related to Robb. It's not something she was hiding, necessarily, but when she started her channel, she'd kept a lot of her personal life private. And honestly, she never thought it would get to this point – the point where she has millions of followers and Robb and Theon have millions of followers and those followers inevitably found out she and Robb are siblings.
A collab had been unavoidable. She just wishes it were any other activity than... this.
She lets out a strangled scream as something crashes to her right and she stumbles left, straight into the other person who's been dragged along tonight – Jon Snow. He catches her arm and keeps her upright and she almost thanks him until she hears him let out a laugh. It infuriates her and she rips her arm out of his grasp and sends him a glare, though it's short lived when she sees what looks like a jar of eyeballs on a shelf behind him and bile twists in her stomach.
She hates Halloween - she hates horror movies and jump scares and gore, and she especially hates haunted houses. But what else should she have expected for this collab? Robb and Theon have a dumb prank channel, of course they'd bring her – notorious wimp Sansa Stark – to a haunted house for the video. She thinks Robb got permission to film, because Dacey and Olyvar are flanking them with cameras to capture everyone's reactions.
“It's all fake,” Jon reminds her, though she barely hears his voice over the din of sound effects echoing through the dark corridor as they pass from one room to another.
“I know that,” she hisses, heart pounding wildly. They approach a doorway and – sure enough – right as she passes through, there's a person with heavy special effects makeup waiting on the other side to grab at her (another thing she resents – this is one of those places where the actors can touch you. They'd had to sign a waver). She screams in the actor's faux-bloody face and she swears he laughs at her.
In front of her, Robb and Theon are being obnoxious as usual. She doesn't really condone their prank channel and has often had to reign them in from doing something that would get one of them needlessly hurt (or would be considered, you know, illegal). Jon is usually an unwilling participant in their videos, and he has his own woodworking channel that has nowhere near the viewership that her makeup channel or Robb and Theon's prank channels do (she's told him, over an over, that if he showed his face on camera, he'd get more viewers, but he insists that he wants the focus to be on his work, not him). Jon walks next to her, calm, like nothing in this place fazes him, and she sort of resents him for this.
She understands it's all fake, she's not stupid, but that doesn't stop her fear response from kicking in every time something jumps at her, every time lights flicker or go out. It doesn't stop her stomach from turning whenever she sees the needlessly gory scenes like that doctor cutting a girl open, her fake intestines spilling out as the actress screamed.
“It'll be over soon,” Jon leans in close so she can hear him better, and for a moment a sense of calm washes over her. She loses it, though, as he moves away to give her space and she panics and reaches out and grabs his hand, tugging him back close to her.
A strange look passes over his face, but he doesn't say anything, just lets her grab onto his arm as they continue through the haunted house. She can't explain it, but with Jon next to her she feels... safe. She knows none of this is real, she knows none of these actors will actually hurt her, but it doesn't seem to matter, and it doesn't seem to matter that Jon won't actually have to protect her (though she somehow knows that he would if he ever had to, and that's a strange realization to have as she's walking through a room of terrifying clowns).
When it's finally over and they're outside, she breathes a sigh of relief and she feels muscles that she hadn't even realized were tensed relax.
“That was awesome,” Theon nearly shouts at one of the cameras. He and Robb talk loudly and animatedly for the cameras about the house, summarizing it for their audience (she knows they're likely to cut out a lot of the extreme scares and gore, since a good portion of their audience are kids and young teens).
“You good?” Jon murmurs to her and she realizes she still has a death grip on his arm.
“Oh,” she breathes with a forced laugh, “yeah,” and she lets go of his arm and immediately wishes she could have it back. (And then, some part of her brain whispers that she wishes she could have his arm wrapped around her instead, but she pushes that thought out because where did that even come from?)
Jon brings a hand up to scratch at his beard and shifts on his feet and she wonders if its because he feels awkward on camera. Jon's never liked being on camera, not really – it's why Robb and Theon always have to catch him off guard and why his videos – at most – only feature his hands and forearms (the comments on his videos about how attractive his hands and forearms are had been one of her main arguments for showing his face, but Jon had gotten weird after that and so she'd dropped it eventually).
“Hayride next?” Robb asks, which brings her back to the present.
“There's more?” she whines, twisting her face into a pout that always got her out of trouble when she was a kid, but Robb and Theon are already making their way towards the next attraction.
“You can sit next to me,” Jon offers, and she feels relief flood through her. “I'll be on the outside.”
She feels herself smile for the first time all night and nods and she's even more pleased when he – after a moment of hesitation – holds out his arm for her to take. She does so, curling her own arms around his and hugging it to her, keeping herself as close to him as possible as they walk through the fairgrounds to the haunted hayride.
They arrive right behind Robb and Theon and when Robb sees the way she's basically clinging to his best friend, there's a look that she can't figure out – it flicks from their joined arms, to Jon, then back to their arms, then to her, then back to Jon again and she feels Jon stiffen up next to her. Something silent passes between them and Robb looks almost... concerned? But then Jon shakes his head so subtly she thinks she's not supposed to see it and Robb nods back and turns around to face Theon and the cameras and Sansa's left more confused than anything.
The next tractor and wagon pull up to the entrance and the previous riders disembark. She waits with Jon, and though there's a slight fluttering in her stomach, she's not terrified like she had been right before the haunted house. Jon keeps his word and as they climb onto the open-topped wagon, he lets her sit in the middle and he takes the outside so she won't have to deal with the actors that run up to them during the ride. She settles into the hay and, without thinking, leans her head on his shoulder, arm still linked through his.
“Thank you,” she says.
“Robb and Theon shouldn't have made you do this,” Jon says back and his voice sounds a bit shaky. She can't see his face, she's too comfortable resting her head against him to look up, but she wonders why he sounds nervous. Maybe he's more scared of all of this than he was letting on? He hadn't seemed nervous at all in the haunted house.
“Don't worry, I'm going to have so much fun giving them a full face of glam makeup when it's time to make the video for my channel.” That's the point of this collab – she does a video for their channel and they do one for hers.
Jon lets out a soft laugh as the tractor starts up and the wagon lurches forward, heading into the dark forest. “Can I watch?”
“Definitely,” she says as she squeezes his arm tighter, her heart jumping at a noise off in the woods – a signal that the scares are about to start. “You should let me do your makeup,” she continues to try and distract herself. “I think glam makeup would look amazing with your beard.”
“Sure,” she can feel his shoulder lift into a shrug, and that does make her lift her head up and look at him.
“You would? I thought you hated being on camera?”
He shrugs again, but whatever response he was going to give is cut off as an actor takes a running leap at the wagon, latching onto the side and pulling himself up, and the passenger nearest to him (right in front of Jon) screams. Sansa sucks in a breath and tries to calm her racing heart (and out of the corner of her eye, she sees Dacey with a camera pointed right at her and Jon, a smirk on her face).
She spends the rest of the ride (and all through the haunted corn maze), hanging onto Jon for dear life and she swears his calm presence is the only reason she survives.
(And when she finally gets home to her little apartment and gets into bed, she tries desperately not to think too hard about why that is. She tries not to analyze the safety she felt with him or the way her heart had been fluttering during the car ride home, sitting in Robb's back seat and staring at Jon's profile illuminated by moonlight in the front seat as he and Robb talked and joked around. She tries not to obsess about the way he'd told her to call him if she ever wanted him to be in one of her videos, tries not to read too much into the look Robb had given Jon when he said it.)
(She tells herself that the reason she can't sleep that night is because of the haunted house.)
(It's definitely not because of Jon.)

ive spent far too much time thinking abt ur sugar crash au so i have some characters w different sweet themes!! please i have spent so much time researching candy and for what /j
puffy - cotton candy vibes. like a graham cracker boat style cart and cotton candy surrounding it. idk but my main point here is sheep go floof and cotton candy go floof
george - blue raspberry bubblegum!! when u play as his character he bounces off walls (a bit like he has auto pathfinder but at the same time if the walls r too tight its more like very hectic pinball JSHSJK)
eret - im caught in between a few here but yk those giant chewy strawberries u get in pick n mix? those. she gets a boost on the map that circles the castle bc he knows shortcuts
ponk - 100% sherbert lemons. their cart is shaped kinda like a fallen lemon tree if that makes sense? also his missing arm was a glitch caused by a game bug known as the 'warden' so they tend to bug out in sweet themed races but can race in sour themed ones just fine
callahan - special character who's only seen in races during december but can only be played on xmas eve, xmas and boxing day, kinda like a game easter egg. advent calendar chocolate and candy cane themed bc christmas reindeer. places in at least top 5 average when not being played (as he should /lh)
YOO!! Hey I am still awake and I’m gonna try to make an effort to reply to all of these cause I have a tendency to just.. skip over some. But yuh!!
Puffy I definitely am giving a Cotton candy / marshmallow mix (not in like a half n half vibe like ranboo but more so they’re dispersed through her design)
George I can definitely see for that!! He’s definitely blue something and I love the idea of him ridiculously bouncing pft
Eret’s candy I’m not sure! Eret is tricky in general because like techno I don’t want to give an explicit royal feeling design because then that makes people think King Candy yet eret’s brand is so ingrained with a royal theme (for lack of a better word) so it’ll be hard
Ponk I have the personal favorite pick of these lemon drops that have honey in the middle that I got from a bee keeper ! However I know that experience is very much only mine so I might go for a general lemon candy theme. Also terrifying !!! With the arm! I’m not trying to draw fully from the dsmp character and instead draw from both the creator and their character so will they have both of their arms?? Time will tell
Callahan - absolutely yes !! He isn’t very high on my priority list sadly especially when my existing design for him is a centaur so now I have to change it a lot to fit into the sugar rush mold lol

Danganronpa V4: A New Ending
Chapter 1: Part 2
<—previous part_____next part—>
Your story continues under the cut
There he was. Once again.
Following me.
He never stopped following me, he was like a lost puppy who dubbed me as his owner. It was annoying, and frankly, creepy.
I knew the rumors, I knew who he was. And, although I hated to admit it, I was both frightened and intrigued.
A terrifying yet interesting Ultimate, to say the least. Still, no matter how interesting he was to me, it scared me that I seemed to be his newest target.
But… he wouldn’t do anything with the school cameras… right?
Taking a deep breath to gather what little confidence I actually had in myself, I spun around to face him. He looked back at me with a blank stare, just like he always did.
“If you’re the Ultimate 尺̵̡̰̠̳͚̤̪̯̘̖͇͍̭̩͊̿͒͌̑͐乇̴̢̗̭̺̯͇̗̍̏́̋́͗͆̅̀̀̎͂̇̿̈́̉̔͋̇̈́̌̔̓͐̂͋̑̉̈̑͗̀̌̕͝͝͝ᗪ̷͍̺͓̤̤͆̂̀̎̓͒̑͊̈́̎̒̊̒̊͂̾̓̓̔̚͜卂̸̨̛̲̦̙̣̹̰̗̣͔͙͆̽̃̑̀͋̉̃̒́̃̒̿̉̿͛̕͜͜͠ͅͅ匚̴̢̡͈̟̗̞̮̖̬̃̑̋́̍́̿͑̅̅̓͗̊̔̀͘͘͝ㄒ̴̡̢̢̢̢̙̠͓̥̻̘̪͎̺͉̙̯̼̲̻̘̩̲̀͗͌͑̿̃̋͆̎̓̊̅̾̌͊̊͗̈̈́̆̈̇̽̒̒̆͊̋͛̚̕̕̚͠͠͠͠乇̶̛̛̹̿͋̏̔̇͊͛͗̈́̀̅̂̊̕ᗪ̷̢̬͈̮̲̭͚̦͎̜͇͓̣͍̞̮̎̌͌̂̓̌̀́̑͗̐͑͛́͛͋̃̑̈́̽͆̾̚̕̚͘͜͜͝͝͝ ̸̨̢̧̥̯͗̌̂̔̃̋̊̕, then you can tell I’m pissed, yeah?!”
“…yes.”
“Then you know why I’m pissed! So,” I swallowed, hoping my nerves wouldn’t get the better of me as I stomped over to him, “take the hint and quit being so weird!!”
“…..” he made no facial expression, no movement, nothing, to indicate how he felt for my remarks. I grunted in frustration, turning around and walking to the library. I went there every day after class, and he always came with and sat across from me. I could only hope that he’d catch the hint after I told him off.
He didn’t.
I heard the footsteps start following again almost immediately, him keeping a bit of distance as always. I was hoping he’d take the hint, but clearly that didn’t happen. I huffed, spinning around again and clenching my fists.
“And stop following me!!!”
~~~~~
“Hey there, you ok?” I opened my eyes to see a boy standing over me, bright green hair shaping his face.
“....Where’s… Hajime? Is he ok?”
“Hajime? You mean this guy?” He helped me sit up, pointing to Hajime unconscious beside me.
“H-Hajime! Is he alright?!”
“He’s ok, I was gonna wake him up after I brought you to your senses,” he helped me stand, “my name is Rantaro Amami. You?”
“Y/N. Y/N L/N. Are you a freshman too?”
“You know it. Come on, help me pick him up.” I nodded and helped Rantaro position Hajime over his shoulder, following him down the hallway.
“Where are we going?”
“To the home room class. It’s where everyone else is.”
“Everyone else? So there’s others!”
“Yeah. Not counting us three here, there’s 13.”
“So enough for one class. Interesting.”
“So what’s your ultimate?”
“Ultimate Forensic Scientist. You?”
“Ultimate Adventurer. So you process crime scenes, yeah?”
“That is my strong suit, yes. Until we figure out where we are and why, I’m going to treat this whole island like one.”
“Smart. Well, in case you were wondering, none of us know why we're here either.”
“I assume you and the others have already gotten acquainted?”
“Yep. We heard the front door opening open since a little alarm plays when it does, so they sent me to investigate. Then I found you two. Why were you passed out, by the way?”
“Not sure. We walked through the door, and I woke up to you.” It wasn’t… the worst face to wake up to, if I was being honest with myself. He was rather attractive, giving off a bit of a… playboy vibe in a way.
“That’s odd. None of us had that kind of experience,” we stopped outside a door, him turning to look at me, “We’ve got an Ultimate Nurse here, so she’ll be able to check up on our friend here, and you as well. That way we can make sure you two are alright.”
“I’m perfectly healthy, thank you.”
“You were unconscious.”
“So was Hajime.”
“Exactly,” he smiled, “so you both are gonna get checked out.” It was no use arguing with him. I sighed in defeat, nodding and looking forward.
“So everyone is in there?”
“Yep.”
“Ok… let’s go.”
“Hey, two more- uh… is he ok?” A short boy with light brown hair paused after seeing Hajime on Rantaro’s shoulders.
“O-Oh dear!! I-Is he alright?!” A girl with unevenly cut dark purple hair ran over, tripping in the process and ending up in a…. Revealing position to say the least.
I quickly averted my eyes as a few others went to help her up. Rantaro looked at me, smiling.
“That’s our Ultimate Nurse, Mikan Tsumiki.”
“Her,” I whispered, questioning him, “she just-“
“Yeah. She’s… clumsy, to say the least.”
“I-I-I’m so sorry!! Please f-forgive me!!” She cried out as she was helped to her feet, carefully walking over and grabbing Hajime’s limp wrist, “h-he’s alive! How d-did he…?”
“We woke up together on the beach,” I turned to her, relieved to hear that an Ultimate Nurse said he was ok, “we made our way to the building, and both went unconscious the second we walked through the door.”
“Interesting,” a girl with short black hair nodded, “so I assume you have no idea what is happening, like the rest of us?”
“Right,” I nodded, “I’m Y/N L/N, by the way. The Ultimate Forensic Scientist. This is Hajime Hinata, he has amnesia and can’t remember his ultimate.”
“Interesting,” a tall boy with blonde hair looked at him, “Or perhaps, he has a dangerous ultimate and does not want us to know.” I immediately shook my head, shutting down his accusations.
“Hajime is no killer or anything dangerous.”
“And you know this… how? Is he your boooooyfrieeeend??” A short boy with messy purple hair laughed, but I was very much not amused.
“Are you a child?”
“Wha- What is that suppose to mean?!”
“It means I asked if you’re a child. Because you look and act like one.”
“….You really dare say that to Kokichi Ouma, The Ultimate Supreme Leader?!”
“Your Ultimate and name does not answer my question.”
“….YOU’RE SO MEAN!!” He burst into tears, making me jump and step back. What on earth…
“Don’t cry, Kokichi,” a tall boy looked at him, “Gonta know! Gonta find you bug to cheer you up!!”
“I don’t want I stupid bug, Gonta!! I want Y/N to apologize!!” He kept crying, everyone in the room looking miserable.
I made brief eye contact with a boy who’s hat covered one eye, who gave me a look of “it’ll be better for all of us if you just say sorry.”
“Ok,” I sighed, “I’m sorry, Kokichi.”
“Alright,” the tears immediately stopped, “I feel a lot better now.”
“What…” I sighed, looking around the room once more. There were still so many people I hadn’t formally met yet… I wasn’t a fan of meeting new people….
Introductions could wait. I wanted to avoid them as long as I could, so I followed Mikan and Rantaro to the infirmary to check on Hajime.
“H-He has no u-underlying me-medical issues,” she looked at us as she took his blood pressure, “w-we should be able to wake him u-up with no issue.”
“Thank you, Mikan,” I smiled at her, “I’m glad you’re here to help out.”
“O-Of course, hehe!!” She giggled to herself as she stepped back for me to see Hajime better.
“You said I can wake him up?”
“Yes, h-he should wake up if you try to.”
“Right. Thanks,” I grabbed his shoulder and shook him lightly, “Hajime? You there?”
“Hnng,” he groaned, his eyes fluttering open, “Y/N? Where… Where are we?!” He sat up the second he saw Rantaro and Mikan, looking at me in confusion.
“Rantaro Amami,” Rantaro extended his hand, “I found you two after you passed out. She made sure you were ok.” He nodded to Mikan.
“M-My name is… M-Mikan Tsumiki. I-It’s nice to meet you!” She smiled, waving.
“…..we passed out?”
“Yeah,” I nodded, “There’s other students, waiting for us to come back. Can you walk?”
“Yeah… Yeah, I think so,” he stood, rubbing his head, “gosh… everything hurts.”
“I-I can get you some pain killers!” Mikan offered, but Hajime shook his head.
“Not sure I want to take anything from this place until I learn what it actually is and why we’re here. Thank you, though.”
“I-I understand!!”
We made our way back to the classroom, Rantaro and Mikan walking ahead with me and Hajime trailing behind.
“Hey,” he whispered, “you’re good at reading into crime scenes, yeah?”
“I… guess so, yes.”
“Think you can read them,” he nodded to the pair walking in front of us, “Do you think they’re safe?”
“Well Rantaro found us unconscious and didn’t do anything but help wake us up, and Mikan seemed really worried about you before even knowing who you were. So yes, I think they’re safe.”
“Sorry… that was a stupid question.”
“No, it wasn’t. We don’t know these people, it’s smart to be cautious.”
We got to the classroom again, Hajime pausing before going in. Rantaro turned to him.
“You alright?”
“Y-Yeah… I just,” he sighed, “I’m not sure why I just… I’m really nervous about meeting ultimates.”
“Why? You are one, aren’t you?”
“I mean… I’ve got to be, right? So why am I so… nervous?”
“It’ll be ok,” I smiled, putting my hand on his shoulder, “I’ll be here.”
“Right… thank you.”
Sixteen students remain
