Speaking on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk, Salma Hayek revealed that she and Smith had both been in contention for the role, meeting as two of the four finalists. Salma Hayek, Jada Pinkett Smith, Carrie-Anne Moss and one more were in the running for The Matrix However, scheduling conflicts prevented Jackson from taking the role, and the Wachowskis were forced to cast a wider net. The Matrix Resurrectionswill be in theaters and on HBO Max on December 22, 2021.The role of Trinity was just as up in the air, with singer Janet Jackson being the first approached to take on the part of the computer programmer and hacker who escaped the Matrix. Here's to hoping it delivers the expectations that both the creator and the fans have for the project. With it coming out in time for the holidays, The Matrix 4 may bring a very warm nostalgic feeling for fans of the iconic trilogy. The Matrix Resurrections is coming almost two decades after the third film and for many, this is a trip to the past that may be emotional for everyone involved. You can look at it and say: 'ok, these two people die and ok, bring these two people back to life and oh, doesn't that feel good.' Yeah, it did! It's simple, and this is what art does and that's what stories do, they comfort us." There aren't many words to express the deep amount of loss experienced, but it's good to see the silver lining for the creative director and that she was able to find something to alleviate the pain. The director describes the feeling as "immediately comforting" to have both Neo and Trinity alive again in The Matrix Resurrections. "My brain has always reached into my imagination and one night, I was crying and I couldn't sleep, and my brain exploded this whole story." The director continues, "And I couldn't have my mom and dad, yet suddenly I had Neo and Trinity, arguably the two most important characters in my life". "You know their lives are going to end and yet it was still really hard," the director said at a screenwriting panel for the International Literature Festival Berlin. No matter how much of an understanding one has that death is inevitable, it still will catch anybody by surprise when it actually happens. No amount of speculation will give the answers until fans see the film for themselves, but Wachowski discussed the decision as well as how it played a part in her grieving process.Īfter losing her mother, her father, and a friend, the director had trouble understanding how to process that amount of grief, as it's an immense amount of loss. Many are wondering if they're simulations or if they're actually real. The big point of conversation is how and why Neo and Trinity came back. The Matrix Resurrections' plot is currently being speculated, debated, and theorized by the internet based on the trailer released. Reveals 'The Matrix 4' Title And Trailer At CinemaCon Fans started to become less forgiving when the Cinema Con trailer was held back from the public, especially after Spider-Man: No Way Home released a trailer despite it debuting behind closed doors too.

The films are known for having a mind-bending complex plot, and the fourth installment looks to follow up on that tradition starting with the revival of the two iconic characters.įans of the Matrixhave been patiently waiting for this trailer since all the way back to when rumors about this film first emerged.

The Matrix Resurrectionsdirector Lana Wachowski discussed the idea of bringing both Neo and Trinity back for the upcoming sequel to the iconic Matrix trilogy from the late '90s early 2000s.

antonio banderas as alejandro makes me laugh so much, because i can't help but associating banderas with some commercials he did for promoting biscuits where he talked with a chicken named rosita

kristen bell as zoey would be the cutest thing, i love that woman and i love zoey

i approve nick jonas as topher, this also makes me laugh a bit because of, y'know, camp rock and that stuff

Can you explain your fantasy football wlw picks, I know football but I don't really know all the positions so was there a reason you picked those characters

You’re talking about this post...so basically for fantasy football you draft players to fill each position to build your team. You’ve got your starters... 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 “Flex” who can be a RB, WR, or TE, and a kicker, plus you pick an entire defensive line. Then you get to choose 6 backup players for when you need to replace any of your starters. So this was my lineup...

Quarterback: Lexa

QB’s are leaders, they run the offense, so I obviously chose The Commander

Running Back: Syd

Running Back: Anne

RB’s take handoffs, catch, or block so Syd and Anne have the ability to handle any and all of those options

Wide Receiver: Coop

Wide Receiver: Toni

WR’s are the fastest on the field, so of course I went with the young bucks lol

Tight End: Rosa

(Flex) Tight End: Anissa

TE’s can be offensive lineman or break off to become a receiver so I went with these two because they got the strength to block and speed to run

Kicker: Juliana

Clearly the kicker is responsible for extra points, field goals, and punts, I figure as aggressive as Juliana can be the girl could probably kick a 60+ yarder lol

(In place of a defensive line) Returner: Villanelle

I just went with a returner in Villanelle because she could fake out everyone on the field and run the ball straight into the endzone from her own 1 yard line

Bench players: Jada, Alex, Bo, Emily, Nicole, Max

I picked these 6 as my bench players because they could easily fill any of the positions, got strength, speed, leadership, whatever I may need.

Unique Places to Get Married in Maryland - A Guide

One of the hardest things to do when planning your special day is to spend hours scouring the internet looking for a unique, classy, and un-used location for your wedding. I've spent the past two days in searching for that oh so elusive perfect spot. I'm going to save you all the trouble I went through and compile all the spots I found through obscure Google searches and message boards and put these locations in one place. Welcome to your one stop shop for unique wedding locations all over Maryland. For your convince I've put them into genre such as "Castle Theme", "Relaxed Theme", etc. so if you're really in a knot, you don't have to spend your whole day looking when you could be finding the perfect pair of shoes to go with your dress. Here we go:

Castles:

Cloisters Castle: This private home that was commissioned and completed in a twenty seven year span screams with uniqueness. From the exterior built of Butler gold and gray stone, gables taken from a medieval house in France as well as medallions from a 16th century Venetian home, it's a work of architectural brilliance. Located in Luthersville, MD this venue is surrounded by sixty acres of trees and a lovely garden. Its insides are furnished with authentic medieval pieces and antique furniture. The fireplace was even commissioned to be built from an antique chest carved with Renaissance figures. Famously, it was the site of actor Will Smith's and Jada Pinkett's wedding in 1998 but that hasn't put a damper on the delightful and unforgettable atmosphere the house creates. Either the outside or the inside can be made available and there is only one event per day, allowing your day to be uninterrupted in its magic. The fee for rental allows for up to ten hours on the grounds and more time can negotiated through the contract via an extra hour's fee. The venue comfortably fits 175 guests and as a bonus the staff acts as your wedding planner directing set-up, timing, and valet parking.

Maryvale Castle : Functioning as a preparatory school, Maryvale Castle boasts huge grounds complete with wedding chapel if the bride doesn't envision herself walking down the castle's much talked of grand winding staircase. Built in 1917 in Greenspring Valley, MD, this treasure houses an oak-paneled Great Hall, a solarium, and a bridal suite. A stone manor house sweeping off in both directions takes its influences from Warwick Castle in England with its Gothic arched windows, port cochere, and imposing gray towers. A rental agreement includes four hours of time which includes the rehearsal time and full use of the property. However, because it is still a working school, hours on the weekdays are more restricted than weekends. With an indoor guest capacity of 125 people and an outdoor capacity of 200, this venue is worth the strict appointment-only tour.

Mansions:

Montpelier Mansion: A mansion straight out of a Jane Austin piece, this brick Georgian structure sits on seventy acres of land flanked by dogwood trees. Built between 1781 and 1785 this national historic landmark is open to the public for tours and festivities and once housed George Washington and his wife Martha. It is also home to an uncommonly found 18th century summer house which is beautifully preserved. The maximum capacity inside and outside is somewhat small, eighty-five guests total, but the unique floor plan with crown molding and period furniture lends itself to an opulent and old-fashioned charm all its own. For people set on a Sunday wedding this venue isn't for you as they don't allow rentals on Sundays, however, having free reign over this delicate place is well worth the date change. Located in Laurell this mansion radiates country elegance akin to many a bride's favorite novel, complete with circular stone driveway.

Glenveiw Mansion: Situated in Rockville, MD as part of a Rockville Civic Center Park the house is within the neoclassical tradition sporting pillars and an infinite number of beautiful black shuttered windows looking out over the lawn. The dining room is veiled in class and luxury as are its floor-to-ceiling dark paneled wooden walls and long oval windows. The conservatory shines with old-fashioned chandeliers whose light bounces off the Italian green marble floors. The rest of the house is touched with intricate details pertaining to the period in which it was first built housing a number of turn of the century, one- of- a- kind antiques sure to make any wedding memorable. Maximum capacity for this venue is 225 guests and amount charged allows for two hours of set-up and one hour of clean-up. Some strict drawbacks to possible brides are the impossibilities of seated dining, no cooking allowed on-site, and no red-dyed beverages of any kind.

Stronghold Mansion: On top of Sugarloaf Mountain in Dickerson, MD the completely white mansion with pillars and latticed widow's peak lends itself to the country simplicity surrounding it. The straight lawns emphasize the well designed rock walls that glide around the property housing a variety of elegant but simple flora and fauna normally seen in a country garden. The shimmering, circular lake to the side of the house has large willow trees surrounding it and making a path towards the house itself where the architecture inside matches the outside in its refined gentile decor. A standard contract allows for 7 hours and includes set-up and clean-up times. . Additional hours can be negotiated. Maximum number of guests in attendance is 200 and the rental includes 40 by 57 inch tent over the patio and can be added on to encompass the lake area as well. Parking is limited as there are only 85 spots available and clearly marked by the owners , small shuttle buses are permitted.

Liriodendron Mansion: An 1898 ornate masterpiece encompassed by a landscape dripping with flowers, this antique summer home in Harford County leaves nothing unchecked in your imagination. Whether it's the Grecian old-world architecture built around intricate carvings, urns of flowers and stone pillars, or the wisteria vines that form a canopy over the porch for a otherworldly rehearsal dinner, the house is awash in magic all its own. The Palladian styled mansion reminds guests of a fairyland surrounded by woods and fountains with a variety of romantic stone sculptures throughout the grounds. Maximum capacity is 150 guests outside, 100 guests inside with seating and there are plenty of guests parking. The renter has a choice of 6.5 hrs on weekdays where as on weekends they must choose between both rental times and party times in a wide selection of choices. Wedding rehearsals are extra payment as well as table and chair rental fees, but this is no different from most other venues.

Tudor Place: This home to Martha Washington's late granddaughter, Martha Custic Peter, is bursting at the seams with rich history and warm, comfortable elegance. The house itself was built in 1805 by Dr. William Thorton who was also famous for building the first United States Capital and The Octagon building in Washington, DC. Inside the house there are over one hundred objects belonging to George and Martha Washington and it's all been documented in an archived collection of letters, diaries, books, and photographs. As far as guests, the mansion can hold up to 35 guests for a wedding ceremony and for parties over 35 guests they must pay extra. This venue is for ceremonies only and the reservation includes an hour block of time for that ceremony. They also have their own on sight photography for a fee.

Ceresville Mansion: With a variety of ceremony options to suit any bride as well as an in-house consultant to coordinate everything smoothly, this Mansion comes with superior services. Whether the perfect wedding uses their white Grecian Pergola surrounded by dogwoods in bloom, or the terrace climbing with Ivy and backlit with candles shimmering over the reflecting lily pool, it will be something to remember. The white and black sweeping Cape Cod style home was built in 1888 alongside rivers, hillsides, and a ten acre meadow also open for events. Much of the original architecture as well as the antique furniture and fireplace are still the same as 1888. This venue has everything covered in the rental fee from seven hours of event coordination to all the outside details a catering company would normally provide like linens and a dance floor. Every Thursday evening they also offer an unusual wedding discount for those on a budget and cut the price nearly in half for the same services as a Friday or Saturday wedding event. The venue can provide for up to 200 guests and also gives a complimentary list of Food and Beverage minimum pricing so it is free of confusion and out of the way.

Inns and Taverns: Flower Wall Rental Los Angeles

Slades Inn and Tavern: A Victorian dream painted in lively light blues and dark blues, this Inn sets itself apart with two matching circular turrets, high brick chimneys and a white wrap-around porch that Anne of Green Gables would envy. The laid-back romantic space is in Fredrick, MD a few minutes away from Baltimore. The land is dappled with greenery and horses while the exciting night-life and history of the city are in close proximity. Enjoy an easy day as all the guests are accommodated with places to stay after the reception and perhaps even stay past the ceremony for a honeymoon to enjoy hot air ballooning or a carriage tour. From beginning to end of that extraordinary day, Slade's takes care of everything from "his and hers" massages, bridal party hair and makeup sessions, as well as brunches and teas. Indoor buffet seating is for 100 guests whereas larger parties can be accommodated with tents for seated dinners and dancing for up to 150. Once the party is over, guests too busy having fun can tumble up to their rooms leaving the bride and groom clear and free of worry.

Post-AGT Appearance 1189: _____ _____ Show March 31

For a change my agent would be pressing me into action, demanding I prepare a hasty routine about the Oscars situation. You may recall that back in chapter 1096 I appeared on a show that doesn’t exist but would exist if this was a true story. My agent would have had more success with some of his other clients and one of them would have a syndicated daytime talk show. Ratings would be bad and the show in danger of losing many stations, so he would want to rush me on to the show. I would appear for one segment via conference call and use a taped routine.

_____: Welcome back. We have an unannounced guest today, to respond to the slap heard round the world: Phil Cole of Phillip and Cole’s Variety Team. How are you, Phil?

PBC: I don’t feel so good but I couldn’t miss this.

_____: It isn’t covid , is it?

PBC: No, my lungs never fully recovered from the smoke of the California wildfires, and I’m very busy right now, so very tired.

_____: I heard you have a movie coming out.

PBC: Yes, The Cheerleader Killings debuts June 3.

_____: And a little problem with your next film Demon Dress.

PBC: Yes, a big help wanted sign. Matthew McConaghey and Tom Holland both got too stuck up to work with me.

_____: Well, we won’t keep you too long. I understand you have a quick routine about the Will Smith slap.

PBC: Yes, roll the tape.

(Tape starts.)

PBC: Well I guess you all know about the famous slap. I won’t predict what might have happened but this is what I might have said and Rupert has a comment too (clears throat) It sure is good to be welcomed back. All is forgiven I see, even though I didn’t do anything. It’s great to see all your faces, no masks. The corona virus pandemic is over. Now we can get back to worrying about climate change and World War III. It’s good to see Will Smith here, nominated for an Oscar for playing Karl Malden and next to him his lovely wife Jada Pinkett Smith, getting into character for her next film: Kojak. Alright I don’t know if he would have hit me for that but I’m still recovering for a very real punch from Charlie Sheen, so I can take it. Now Rupert from England has a little routine of his own. Take it Rupert.

Rupert: Cheerio, it’s great to be at the Oscars. Phil was here a couple times but he didn’t bring me. It’s also wonderful that the shutdown is over. So people are back in the theaters like 2 years ago. This is great news for movie lovers and theater goers, great for Hollywood, great for everyone except if you’re from England. Last year almost all the awards went to Netflix movies. Now you can not only win but invade our territory. You can invade our territory even if you’re not a tory. Still you do have Netflix and we are getting your money that way. It’s the modern version of the triangular trade routes. You really are advancing, especially in equal rights. You have a Vice President who is half Jamaican and half Indian, or as we in England call it, British. Black people last year played a British noble in Bridgerton. Jodie-Tuner Smith, a black woman, played Anne Boleyn and right here among us Will Smith might win an Oscar for playing Richard the Third. I see his wife Jada is getting into character to really stretch her range by playing the French King Charles the Bald.

The Matrix Resurrections Finally Reveals the New Merovingian

The Matrix Resurrections has revealed most of its returning cast in the lead up to the film’s long-awaited release later this month. We’ve seen Keanu Reeves back as a more grungy Neo, Carrie-Anne Moss as a leather jacket-wearing grease monkey version of Trinity, and even Daniel Bernhardt has suited up once again as Agent Johnson. But there are still a few other returners we haven’t seen, such as Jada Pinkett Smith’s Niobe, the ship captain who played a vital role in the two Matrix sequels.

Then there’s Lambert Wilson’s elusive Merovingian, the grimy information broker and crime boss who was obsessed with cause and effect in The Matrix Reloaded and threw a hell of a bondage party in Revolutions. Warner Bros. has kept the villain’s return very close to the chest, but a new teaser announcing the advance ticket sales date finally lifts the curtain on a Merovingian who’s 20 years older and has clearly seen better days.

It’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment, one of the many deja vus teased in the promo, but it’s enough to know that we’re not going to get the Merovingian we expect in Resurrections. In the screenshot below, you can see a much more disheveled, bearded version of the Frenchman whose days eating at the fanciest restaurants in Mega City are definitely far behind him. (He kind of looks like the Trainman played by Bruce Spence in Revolutions, doesn’t he?) Gone too is the usual smugness on his face, replaced by despair or fear. His reunion with Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus should be very interesting.

While we know virtually nothing about the Merovingian’s role in the movie, we did recently learn that Priyanka Chopra is indeed playing an adult Sati, which should be a chance to explore another Matrix sequel character whose story didn’t have much time to develop before the end of the trilogy.

As far as new cast members go, it’s impossible to miss Jessica Henwick’s acrobatic Bugs and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s younger Morpheus in all of the marketing. Henwick told Den of Geek in a recent interview that her character is “a captain, and a leader, and a true believer in the legend of Neo.”

In the trailers released thus far, we see Bugs getting into quite a few scrapes alongside Morpheus, while also guiding Neo through the mysteries of the Matrix. Henwick said of working with Reeves, “Keanu really is everything you’ve heard. I mean, it’s not news for me to say he’s the nicest actor in Hollywood. Everyone knows that. Very kind. Very generous. Very, very shy. Very intelligent. There was no small talk with Keanu. It was always just like, ‘What do you think is at the bottom of the ocean?’ We would have these really esoteric discussions between takes. It was a highlight of my day, honestly.”

We likely won’t learn what’s at the bottom of the ocean in The Matrix Resurrections, but we may see just how deep the rabbit hole goes for these characters when the movie opens on Dec. 22 in theaters and on HBO Max.
