will we get to read your fanfiction when you're done?
yes! i plan on posting it; i heard theres a "Fimfiction" website for MLP centric fanfics, i might try that. Oh and im concidering doing cover arts for every chapter, but i'm not sure on that front; i definitely don't want to turn this whole thing into a comic alone, despite know exactly how id like to (my god too much work. ive thought of so many creative layouts n shit but i have to focus on what i *can* do.) but i plan on posting the links and arts related to it here! I can't say im that close to finishing, because everytime i write i keep getting more ideas and it extends itself a bit, but i'd say id be done writing in under a week! Buuut concidering i still wanna learn how to post fanfic proper, we'll see if it takes longer than that to do so. Btw the fanfic is called "the return of midnight sparkle" and its a loose canon thing with the POV of Sunset shimmer joining the mane 6 and trying to earn it. i've been having a LOT of fun. i'm actually planning and posting some highlights on patreon in a bit! 'cause i had some fucking hilarious things in there, specialy with rarity and applejack lmao.

Sciset week day 2 - Prom.
“Twilight, I don’t-... I don’t think he’s coming.”
The six other girls stood behind the scientist, alternating between playing with their hands, flattening out dresses, or toying with the clasps of purses. Twilight Sparkle’s eyes were trained, focused solely on the stretch of road that separated Canterlot High from the rows of houses across the street. She’d arrived early with the girls, escorted via limo at the request- nay, demand- of Rarity, who did her best to touch up their makeup as best she could on the drive over. As it stood now, the fashionista reserved herself to cling to Applejack’s arm, squeezing the other girl with anxious fingers.
Even Pinkie Pie had left the rest of the Prom committee to take care of escorting their senior class to the busses that would take them to the hall Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna had reserved for the evening. No party in the world was more important than being there to support her friends, even if it was the biggest night of their lives. That just made it all the more important.
“No, no. He’s probably just late.” Twilight nodded to herself, playing with the fabric of her gown, “Camp Everfree is a long drive away. He’s probably just stuck in traffic or something.”
The other teens looked amongst themselves, chewing on lips and sharing sympathetic glances. And of course, when situations like these would arise, they looked to their leader for some sort of guidance.
Sunset Shimmer curled a hand over her chest and let out a steadying breath, as if summoning the strength to take those few steps over to where Twilight had her planted herself for the last 20 minutes. Her frown quirked into a half-smile as she rubbed the smaller girl’s arm, brows twitching upward in sympathy. “Yeah. Maybe he knew he’d be late and he’s already waiting for you at the hall. Let’s just… let’s head to the busses, okay?”
Twilight’s eyes sparkled, wetted with desperate hope. She nodded and whispered out a small “Yeah,” before stepping back towards the school, hugging herself all the while.
Sunset kept pace with her, wrapping an arm over her shoulder as she rubbed at Twilight’s forearm with her other hand. She shared a look with Applejack, who dipped her hat in understanding and motioned for the rest of the group to follow after them. They stayed silent, no one daring to say a word-- less they finally pushed Twilight over the edge, ruining the absolutely astonishing job that Rarity had done with her eye makeup. That would have been a tragedy all on it’s own.
“I’m sure he just wanted to be fashionably late,” Sunset attempted at a joke, allowing herself to smile once she felt Twilight’s tense frame relax under her arm. She gave her a gentle shake, “Or maybe his hand finally got stuck to his hair, with all the hairspray he uses.”
Twilight allowed herself to let out a small giggle, and rested her hand atop the one Sunset had on her shoulder. She gave a squeeze and spared the taller girl a flash of a smile. It was a wordless way of saying thank you, when the scientist couldn’t find it within herself to speak; something Sunset had become accustomed to over the years.
As they all filed onto the busses, splitting off into whatever groups had been designated via the school register, Twilight kept a tight grip on Sunset’s hand; even when the redhead had dropped her arm from Twilight’s shoulder. Sunset had never been so grateful to have a surname so close to the other girl’s. She could only imagine Twilight trying to hold herself together, alone, listening to the excited chatter of her peers, and trying so desperately not to focus on the blatant truth: that Timber had stood her up.
Sunset’s stomach churned at the thought.
Once they’d arrived, Sunset helped Twilight down onto the gravel path and over to the grass to regroup with the girls. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous, and it was evident that Principal Celestia had saved no expense for this year’s venue. It was startling, to say the least, once Sunset had learned that this world had a Canterlot castle, too. However, rather than housing royal equine princesses of the sun and moon— or being populated by countless guards that roamed the halls, and residing upon a valiant cliff face, this world’s Canterlot castle operated as a venue for weddings and, in this evening’s case, their high school senior prom. Sunset had almost eaten her leather jacket when that had been announced.
Despite the floor lights that illuminated the path up to the castle, or the rows of well-tended hedges, shaped into grand displays of flowers and figures, or even the eloquent architecture of the castle itself, it still had nothing on the one back in Equestria. Sunset could only offer up an amused smile at the human world’s attempt at grandeur. Not that she was one to pass judgement on landscaping though! She just thought there was irony in the fact a world full of creatures without hands had managed to carve the land into such a dramatisation. She supposed there was a kind of theatrics that came with magic. What other explanation was there?
“It’s really pretty.” Twilight finally spoke in a quiet voice.
Sunset hummed, “Yeah.” Taking one last look at the building, she lowered her head to meet Twilight’s eyes. “It’s got nothing on the one in Equestria though.”
Twilight hid her chuckle behind her hand, her smile finally meeting her eyes as she arched a brow. “I was talking about your dress.”
“O-oh!” Sunset felt her cheeks pink and she rubbed the back of her head with her free hand, careful not to mess up her hair. Rarity would have killed her. “T-thanks.” She dropped her eyes to inspect Twilight’s dress: lavender, with a plethora of blues and purples shimmering over the fabric depending on whichever light the other girl stood in. It wasn’t that Sunset hadn’t seen her in it before, she just needed a refresher on how good the other girl looked in it. “You look really nice too.”
Twilight raised her hand to toy with the strands of hair beside her face and averted her eyes a bit, her own sheepish smile warming her cheeks as she gave Sunset’s hand another squeeze. They stayed like that for a while; neither of them saying anything; just hand in hand, and content with the way their palms felt against each other. When the other girls finally found them, none of them seemed to notice. Or if they did, no one mentioned it, simply happy enough with the way Twilight’s smile finally reached her eyes.
They’d followed after their class as they were escorted towards the castle, through the foyer, and finally to stand on the back staircase that would lead up into the large hedge-maze that took up the majority of the castle’s rear grounds. On either side of the large, slabbed stairway, stood two grand fountains, and Rarity simply swooned— mumbling nonsensically about how absolutely wonderful their class photo was going to be in this year’s yearbook, and how Sunset absolutely must allow her to assist with this year’s layout.
Sunset stumbled as Rainbow Dash threw her arms around both hers and Applejack’s shoulders, the farm girl chuckling and joining in with the rough housing, as she ruffled Rainbow Dash’s hair. Not enough to send Rarity into another one of her prom-induced tirades, but to still make it obvious that her hair wasn’t sitting the way it should be.
Sunset slipped out of Rainbow Dash’s grip with a chuckle as the other girl took her position on the stairs near the front— Photo Finish insisted on having the tallest members of their class towards the back. Sunset flashed Twilight a smile and led her up the stairs to take their own position beside Rarity. Once more that evening Sunset was humbled by the way the universe seemed to work in her favor. Maybe she should take Rarity aside and thank her personally for ensuring she was just ever-so-slightly taller than Twilight in her heels. Maybe.
Sunset smoothed out her dress as best she could with one hand. She spared a glance at Twilight for a moment who, she only now noticed, had been staring at her. The scientist snapped her eyes away once they’d met and Sunset felt a tightness in her chest at the way Twilight’s face darkened in hue. She smiled and gave her hand a reassuring squeeze before she slipped her own from Twilight’s grip to tuck a stray lock of hair behind the other girl’s ear.
“There we go. Don’t want that ruining the picture.”
Twilight gave a shy smile and reached up to adjust the necklace around Sunset’s neck, so that the golden sun pendant sat dead centre across her chest. “You too.”
They both shared a small giggle, beaming warmly at each other before they slipped their fingers together once again.
“Everyone say: Wondercolts!”
With an absolutely deplorable drone from the crowd of teens and one final “Whoop!” from Rainbow Dash, Photo Finish snapped their picture. It was one instant, forever captured in a frame, that their senior class would share. One final show of comradery— to prove that despite everything, they were here, together. Despite the pain; the hard work; the tears— they’d made it.
And however true that this moment would be shared with each other, for years to come, through misty eyes filled with nostalgia. There was a smaller moment— a secret in the holding of hidden hands that the camera couldn’t see— that Sunset wouldn’t ever forget.

Family Appreciation
It was 8 years ago almost to the day when Family Appreciation Day aired, and it was on that very day that Bronycon 2012 was held. Back when it was BroNYCon. It was the last of their conventions to be held in New York City properly - preceding the one that came 5 months later in a New Jersey convention center, and the one that followed a year after that in Baltimare.
I've got to tell you, it was absolutely crazy. 7 or 800 people showed up for an event that was only prepared for 250. The layout of the entire convention was two narrow hallways that formed the shape of a letter "L", leading to an auditorium, and all of the dealers and artists were packed into those hallways. It was so crowded that the hotel threatened to call the fire department and shut us down. My heart went out to people who were turned away at the door.
It was a crazy experience, but a magical one as well. I was fortunate enough to have a home base - a place to keep my backback - a place to sit. Because I was manning the charity table, running the toy drive. And it was in those earliest years of the brony phenomenon that people gushed the hardest at the prospect of doing charity work. There was so much joy. So much positivity. So much hope.
I was there with my daughter, and a fellow member of Bronies for Good named Tortilla who I had only met that day. In all the chaos, there was no real set up for screening the episode within the convention, (at least not one that I could physically get to). So my daughter and I slipped away for 20 minutes and watched it in an echoey stairwell, huddled around my cell phone.
Looking back, I think Family Appreciation Day was the perfect fit for the occasion, because for me, that moment was all about building a family memory. Having recently re-watched the episode, I now have a new respect for how profound it is. For those who don't remember, the premise is that everyone in school has to bring in a family member to give an oral presentation, and for Apple Bloom, no one can do it except Granny Smith because the harvest is coming, and everypony is busy.
Diamond Tiara made Apple Bloom really, really, really self conscious because Granny Smith was kind of kooky. Apple Bloom spent most of the episode trying to avoid humiliation - embarrassment of her kin. And it's perfectly natural. We've all been there at various points in our adolescence - kids embarrassed of our elders.
When Granny Smith gave the actual presentation, however, she told the history of the founding of Ponyville - how she was there. How every quirky ritual that she'd built around making zap apple jam was actually born of experience - of magic. How that very jam was the foundation of all the fortunes built in Ponyville. Even Diamond Tiara's own ancestors'.
It was an eloquent story. A beautiful one. This was a landmark episode in the show's history, because up until then, Granny Smith had been something of a senility joke. But here, they laid the foundation for a longstanding theme that lasted throughout the series - emphasizing that the elderly have value - that they have stories to tell - that they were young once just like us. That the friendships they formed as children were still important in the present day.
And all of those lessons are seriously amplified by hindsight. In The Last Problem, middle aged Applejack shows up at Twilight's castle wearing the scarf that Granny Smith had always worn. And we all inferred that Granny Smith had died of course - that Applejack was the new matriarch. Watching this episode really drove that point home.
Knowing that emphasized to me just how important its message really is. How fleeting life is. How the stories that the elderly have to tell are, in fact, a limited resource.
If Granny Smith not given that presentation in Apple Bloom's class, that knowledge might never have been passed on at all.
As time goes by, more and more of our history slips out of living memory, and gets confined to books and recordings.
Looking back at this episode, I also can't help but look forward, and wonder what stories I will have to tell when I am old. How will I explain the world before the Internet? How will I explain all the crazy stuff that's going on right now today? I hope and pray that if I'm fortunate enough to live long enough to pass those stories on, that there will be someone young who actually wants to listen.
But in the meantime, I'm grateful for the memories I have. My daughter has long outgrown the show, even though I have not. This episode, to me, apart from its own richness in meaning (made only richer by the finale's reminder of Granny Smith's mortality), will always remind me of the time my daughter and I watched it together, huddled around a tiny screen. In an echoey stairwell, taking a break from the chaos of the crazy little convention that would eventually evolve into the mammoth that Bronycon became.

Sketched out some various different layouts for an idea I have. Applejack as Paul Bunyan and Dash as the Big Blue Ox. Or APaul Jack and Big Blue Dash.
Which layout you like the best? 1, 2, or 3?

It’s here, the giant Bronycon post!
As per usual I don’t usually make this many words ever so shit might be wonky. and also it was written over the course of a few days so things might not line up in the right order. Also, fair warning I get kinda weird and sentimental at the end there. Also I have no idea if tumblr will break the formatting real bad so heres hoping it doesn’t
Thursday We left early without much incident. Only a group of 4 this time. Me, Andy, his brother Justin, and Andy's girlfriend Sam who was coming in via plane.
It was a really easy journey. Even stopped at the one Speedway with the good hotdogs. I decided to tie a ribbon in my hair too, I always say I should do something more with it than just tie it back. So I figured I'd try it. We got to Baltimore in what felt like no time at all. We checked in and went to our rooms and waited for Sam. I fiddled with my little electric name badge thingy I bought last year. Got it to say my name and Bronycon 2018 with some hearts and sparkles. Once Sam got settled in, we all met back up to go to pre-reg. She and I were afraid we'd weird each other out but we ended up getting along great. We all went to pre-reg and picked up our badges. Then, after dropping our stuff off at the hotel we ventured back out into the inner harbor for food and hanging out. We opted not to go to Dick's this time, opting instead to go to Tir na Nog. Got my usual pub food. The Vodka cranberry (yes even though I planned on drinking later) and the plain cheese burger. I like to eat the same thing at all the places, because I think it's neat to see the same food through the different lenses of different restaurants. Tir na Nog in Baltimore is different than O'Toole's in Albany is different from Jack Astor's in Toronto. After that we went to the big Barnes and Noble and looked at books and stuff. Then we all went to that ice cream shop thats right next door. They sell tea apparently so I got a small one. Missed the regular size straws so I had a huge straw (Like a goddamn footlong) in a tiny cup (like 3 inches). We went to the bars in Fells point after that. We only got slightly lost, but we found it. We didn't register for the actual bar trot, cause you don't really have to to enjoy drinks. We went to the Dog's Watch Tavern first cause they usually have a good shot, which in this instance was a Pinkie Pie shot. Don't know what was in it but I had several. We went to the Admiral after that. It was the best as it usually is. I think I drank like, 4 of the Trixie, there was a Sunset Shimmer drink (But it was secretly the Applejack. I liked it anyway). And I had most of a Rainbow Dash drink. I must say, I absolutely adore the atmosphere at this bar. The bartender is great and clearly loves what he does. A couple people recognized me cause I sit in the same spot more or less every time, and the goggles that I wear. That was pretty neat. Got pretty drunk, decided to go back after that to prep for the next day. We got a little bit lost on the way back too, but it brought us by the CVS so I bought a couple boxes of PopTarts. We got back to the hotel and went to bed.
Friday
Tried to get up for opening but missed most of it. Caught the tail end of it though. Sleep deprivation got me, plus the buttload of alcohol didn't really help. Hung out in the harmony plaza til the apple family panel. There was a photoshoot that happened but there wasn't a ton of people there. Saw apple family VA panel. It was pretty funny. Went to the vendor hall and walked it to get the layout, I didn't want to just chaotically walk around and not know where anything was so I strictly just walked each isle in a pattern. Actually helped me remember where booths were. I spoke to an artist about getting a comission for a friend who couldn't make it. His slots were full for the day so I figured I'd come back Saturday. I bought an original piece from him, which was actually pretty cool. I then went to the comic booth. I am trying to get at very least the A and B covers for every comic, Plus I wanted first prints of the first issue mane 6 covers. I got the first prints of the two #1 issues I needed. Then I got invited to Jonny Rockets, and due to needing to finish something in the vendor hall it took me a little bit. My friends are cool and waited for me even though I went on one hell of a journey to get there. So I got out of the vendor hall which exited by the Hilton sky bridge. Figure, shit I'll just take the sky bridge on the opposite side so I go for it. Get out there, pass the other hotel (hyatt?) and what used to be a wide open plaza. (Now it's a parking lot). Realize the goddamn thing ends there and there is no way down (unless I went back through the convention center and all the way back around), and more of the bridge is missing. Figure I don't want to walk all the way back so I go through the hotel. No idea if I was supposed to go through that door cause it looks like there were unused decorations everywhere. Nobody stopped me so I made it out to the street. Realize I still have to walk to the corner to cross, but say fuck it and randomly cross in the middle to the street island thing. Then I almost died to a puddle walking on the sidewalk behind some food trucks. Caught myself though. Finally I get there and we hang out and get a burger. On our way back I managed to drop a Pokemon on the Bronycon gym. We went back to the vendor hall. Hung out and looked at stuff. Me an Sam went shopping for pillows. We each bought one, only the case though. Had no space to store the full whole thing.  We went to the whoves line pannel after that. It was really funny, especially the bit where they acted like the friendship map was a computer that got a ton of viruses and went to a "bad dragon" website. I am surprised I've never gone to it before. We went to Jimmy Johns for dinner and then dropped our stuff off at the hotel and headed to the palooza. The performances were great, although they somehow got super off schedule. I bought a Shake-Ups CD. I stayed until the end. I enjoy the palooza immensely, but those 2AM nights are rough. My legs end up being noodles and its a guarantee I won't get to bed until atleast 330. Which is about when I went to bed.
Saturday
Had a bit of a slow start but I wanted to speak to the artist about that comission for my friend who couldn't make it. Even though I was slow, I still got there early enough. The thing he wanted would have been too complex, so I came up with something I think he'll like. Then I went to the comic booth and figured out what I needed to complete the A and B covers for the main comic series. It was cool cause they just let me into the booth to look. I believe I've done it, I just have to add everything to my app to make sure. I ran out of space in my comic storage, so I only did the main series. Next year I will buy for the side series. (There is a lot less). As of typing this out, I found the shop's location. Only a 3 hour drive. Might make a trip of it so I don't have to worry about it at next year's con. Dunno. Met back up with Andy and Sam in vendor hall. We looked around before leaving to get food and make a hotel drop. We got lunch at the JJ before heading to the script reading panel with Tabitha. Usually they're pretty strict about recording at these. Usually one of the staff says something about my camera, but nobody said anything. Or mentioned not recording it at all. I wonder if anyone uploaded it. It was about the mane 6 and a convention called "boomycon" which was about an alt. universe Derpy as a comic character who rides a meteor or something. The comic characters crossed over into the regular universe and shenanigans ensued. It was pretty funny. After that we went back to vendor hall to check on something, and I bought another of those dang pillows, and these weird flow rings, plus some other small stuff, including some super fucking adorable chibi-ball plushie things of Fluttershy and Tempest (Pretty sure I posted pictures). We made a hotel drop and got food. We tried to get into the DIY pony plush making but ultimately the wait list was too long. At this point we went to the sky terrace thing. Apparently there was a wedding, which is really fucking cool! Then we just found some chairs to just kind of chill in. Justin had a mini-pizza that came in a mini-pizza box. We're just sitting there talking and some guy came up and leaned over. We all thougt maybe he had left something. Then we notice he's signing the empty pizza box? He then just says you're welcome and leaves. It took a second then we realized... It was MA Larson. Fucking hillarious. I went back to the hotel again, meeting up with a friend on the way back. Met back up with everyone else at the palooza after that.  Brought the rings I bought and was playing with them, while doing my awkward-ass flail dancing. A couple people thought they were cool which was neat. I really enjoyed all the performances. A cover of 500 miles happened, Eurobeat was fantastic. Great show. I caught a T-Shirt that was thrown. (Which never happens ever and even though it's a small size it still fits.) Again I stayed until 2 AM, got to bed about 330.
Sunday Sundays are usually always the chill day where not much happens. Woke up around the usual time and headed over to the vendor hall. I wandered and bought some last minute things (Pillow #3...). I met back with everyone else around noon. We spent most of day in vendor hall just hanging out. One thing I did, was get a comission of my pony OC. I've been wanting to for years, just to say I had so I finally did it. I'm looking forward to it. Also saw a little digital badges that you could store pictures in. After that we went to the fountains to hang out before lining up for closing ceremonies. They opened with a nifty performance by Step2Harmony. Some of the guests said their farewells before the con chairs started talking about the numbers, a little more than 5000 people. (I don't remmeber the exact number, might have been closer to 5600?). After that was a skit involving the mascots. Blank Canvas got accepted into an art school and Hoof Beatz was going on tour, and the date they were leaving was the end of August next year. They run off stage and Mane Event just stood there like "What about us... : (" Scene end. Sure enough, the con chairs came back out and annouced that next year is going to be a 4 day event instead of a 3 day event. They also anounced that next year is going to be the last Bronycon and that they are ending the event in 2019. You could feel the moment where everybody's hearts broke. There were a lot of people crying. I was pretty choked up too, and I'm honestly not sure how I kept myself together. We walked back to the hotel. While we were waiting for the elevators, you could tell the mood was pretty sombre. Dropped off my bag and went back down to the lobby to wait for Andy and Sam. We all headed down to the inner harbor to go to Bubba Gumps. We had a hour and a half wait, that we spent hanging out in the harbor and the pavillion. One of them seemed to be closed this year. They seem to get smaller and smaller each year. Bubba Gumps as always was fantastic. I got the usual Shrimper's Heaven. Even got to eat the shrimp that Sam didn't eat. Bonus shrimp! Spent 60$ on my check and regret nothing. We went back to the hotel with the intent of playing some Shipfic in the one banquet room the hotel usually has open, which we did! Another group played the pony movie which was neat. We also saw an Insomnia Cookies down in Fells Point so we decided to order some. It took a little more than an hour. But I got the call and they showed up to the hotel and handed me a very warm box. The cookies were fantastic. Every bit worth the wait. I think I have one somewhere relatively close to my home but I'm nowhere near the delivery radius. Probably a good thing because I would go broke buying cookies. They're pretty awesome. Some guy had also had a baby skunk! No idea how he pulled that off or how the hotel was cool with it but it was really cute. Once the movie ended most of the people left. After that we went back to our rooms. Me and Sam got a group picture of all the pillows we bought. I packed most of my stuff after that and went to bed.
Monday.
Woke up, got the car all packed and cleared the rooms pretty quick. We had thought to do some other stuff, but we really didn't have time. Instead we went to Tir na nog and just hung out until we had to leave. Any day you can be mildly drunk before noon and have it not be a problem is a good day. We dropped Sam off at the airport after saying our goodbyes. We hit the road after that and started our journey home. Which was honestly fairly uneventful. No one's windsheild broke. No one's catalytic converter got stolen. We made a couple of stops but nothing really interesting. Got home way earlier than I'm used to. Like 5:30-6PM. And then I realized, Bed, Bath and Beyond was still open. So I drove out there to get the actual pillows for the pillow cases. Found the exact ones the guy at the booth I bought them from. They were on sale, so they were only 20$. Then I had the fun time of fitting 3 hugeass pillows in my really tiny car. Got back home and finished unpacking.
Conclude:
I had a really good time this year. It was very a relaxing trip and I enjoyed spending time with everybody. It never quite feels long enough. I didn't make any real attempt at cosplaying this year. Just didn't really feel into it. I did wear my Sylveon ears that were given to me by a friend though. And I had my goggles, which are just kind of a thing now I guess. I tied a blue ribbon in my hair too. I never do anything with it and I guess I decided now was the time. I think I'm going to do that more often from now on. Next, I am beyond incredibly sad that next year is the last one. Bronycon has been one of the big things I look forward to doing each year. It's easily been one of the best cons I've ever been to. The atmosphere was great, the staff was great. The con ending will also mark the end of a 12 year tradition for me of going down to Baltimore for a con. The only year I wasn't able to go to was 2010 because there was just no way I was going to be able to swing it. Aside from that, I went to Otakon from 2006 until 2012. I had honestly kinda burned out on that though and wasn't sure if I was gonna go back, but it would be shortly after returning from the 2012 Otakon, Bronycon announced that they were gonna move to the Baltimore Convention Center in 2013. Some other friends were interested in going, and since I knew the area so well, we decided to go for it. I went every year after that. Hell, it's how I ended up meeting Andy (which is a pretty funny story all on it's own), it's also how I ended up recconecting with another friend of mine from way back in the day as well as others. There were good times and adventures to be had outside the Con as well. Bubba Gumps, the bar trot in Fells Point(that goddamn Trixie drink, looked like something I'd never have been able to drink, but it is easily my favorite alcoholic drink that has ever existed. I really hope I can get the recipe next year), the bigass barnes and noble, the aquarium, the pavillion. It seems like every year it gets better and I've never felt bored of it or burned out. I am going to miss this immensely, I suppose I'll have to find another con to go to, or atleast other adventures to have but one thing is for sure, I'm never going to forget any of this. All the good times that we've had, or this big thing I've been a part of or this place that has brought me so much joy over the years.
(Once next year ends and I walk out of that convention center for the last time, I am going to be a complete goddamn mess. It's going to be a terrible day for rain...)
Also, though I don't know if you'll ever read it, as I don't think we've spoken in several years now, to the person who convinced me to go to that first Otakon back in '06, Thank you. For introducing me to this place, and setting off a real wacky series of adventures. I don't know if any of this would have happened if you hadn't convinced me to come down here all those years ago. Once again, thank you, and I hope you're doing well.
tl;dr Good fuckin' con, but Pete fuckin' sad.

Ocs question things
Stole it from @nekro-led
1. Your first OC ever?
I’m going to go with MLP ocs only and that would be my Ponysona Cloud Dust, followed by Skyline (Originally Thunderstorm.)
2. Do you have a personal favorite among your OCs?
That's like asking about choosing a favorite child and I can’t. I’d say my most loved ones are Tequila Shots, Dawn Breaker, Moonshine, Onyx Melody, Toffee Paste, Wolf Fangs, Jet Lag and Gold Rum. (Not sure why they’re all mares, I usually like male ocs better.)
3. Have you ever adopted a character or gotten a character from someone else?
Nope.
4. A character you rarely talk about?
Newer characters? Guess those who doesn't have much of a purpose yet.
5. If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be?
That's a thought one. My first thought is Tequila Shots but she bare a too great resemblance to Applejack and I wouldn't want that to be a problem. Although she is usually well liked as I got a few compliment for my badge at Bronycon.
6. Two OCs of yours that look alike despite not being related?
Skyline and Cirrus Stream who share similar pallet.
7. Are your OCs part of any story or stories?
I wrote slice of slice about most of them. Or at least they're always potential writing material.
8. Do you RP as any of your OCs? If you do, introduce one of your RP OCs here!
Do I really need to get down a list? Again all my ocs are potential material for rp. Although Skyline, Jet Lag and Gold Rum were created for Rp purposes specifically.
9. Would you ever be willing to give any of your OCs to someone else?
If they weren't designed to be given up at first then no.
10. Introduce an OC with a complicated design?
I think Wolf Fangs has my most complex design with her full on prosthetic leg and multiple scars.
11. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a "sunshine"?
Onyx Melody? Despite living in a fucking wasteland.
12. Name an OC that isn't yours but who you like a lot
Fuck again I need like to chose only a few but um, Lola, Quick Draw and Raven.
13. Do you have any troublemaker OCs?
Jet Lag was kind of one but she matured. But Tequila is possibly the biggest one. like by a mile.
14. Introduce an OC with a tragic backstory.
Omg who do I even choose? Although Toffee Paste life is not too joyful so far.
15. Do you like to talk about your OCs with other people?
Too much.
16. Which one of your OCs would be the best at biology (school subject)?
Dawn Breaker or Ironclock. Possibly Heartbeat.
17. Any OC OTPs?
Jet Lag and Steam Powder all the way. If the question is only my ocs then idk, possibly Aquarelle and Compendium.
18. Any OC crackships?
Omg here I go!
Tequila Shots/Dawn Breaker
Onyx Melody/Iberion
Skyline/Crème Choice
Moonshine/Alonzo
Wolf Fangs/Senna
Cloud Dust/NekroLED
Dawn Breaker/Dunreyrr
Gold Rum/Quick Draw
Dawn Breaker/Lucky Shots
Did I forgot anyone?
19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)
Cheesy but they all mean a lot to me.
20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?
Well Onyx Melody is a singer although I didn't go through details. Although the song she sing are all soft songs.
21. Your most artistic OC.
Aquarelle, I mean her name is literally water painting.
22. Is there any OC of yours people tend to mischaracterize? If yes, how?
Onyx is not as pure as you would think.
23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?
Skyline definitely, even changed name. Went from a shy awkward good guy with amnesia to a sly pony with a love for teasing and making sex jokes.
There Peach Schnapps who I kinda mellowed down. She was supposed to be absolutely insane but she kinda just a freak with a short fuse.
24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why?
Not sure I want that, lots of them had sucky life due to being Fallout characters. I guess… Jet Lag? Could at least fly on her back if ponies aren't that small compared to real life human.
25. The OC that resembles you the most (same hobby, height, shared like/dislike for something etc?)
Cloud Dust, duh.
26. Have you ever had to change your OC's design or something else about them against your will?
Some of them had minor tweaks like Sweet Cider and Heartbeat because I found them to be too close to canon characters colors. I can't say it's against my will but it displeased me.
27. Any OCs that were inspired by a certain song?
I have sorta of a main song from some of them by directly inspired by one? Can't say I have.
28. Your most dangerous OC?
Peach Schnapps can be dangerously unpredictable. But her mother, Pomegranate, is my most adept fighter so would be likely win in a fight against any of my ocs.
29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they're going?
Probably Moonshine.
30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection?
Hard to pick someone from Fallout so I’d go for Starry Night.
31. Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like (what they reblog, layout, anything really)
But I kinda already have blogs about them...
32. Which one of your OCs would be the most suitable horror game protagonist and why?
Pomegranate would definitely make her way trough.
33. Your shyest OC?
Sheridan I think.
34. Do you have any twin characters?
No. I’m considering making Tutti Fruiti and Iron Barb daughters twin.
35. Any sibling characters?
Sheridan and Moonshine.
Onyx Melody and Steadfast although not blood related.
Midnight Blue have an unnamed older brother.
Aquarelle have three unnamed sisters.
Otherwise I have a LOT of only child.
36. Do you have OC pairs where the other part belongs to someone else (siblings, lovers, friends etc)?
Let's see…
Jet Lag/Steam Powder (Lovers)
Aquamarine/Moca (Friends)
Peach Schnapps/Contraband (Lovers)
Cherry Bomb/Toxic Waste (Siblings)
37. Introduce an OC who is not quite human.
*Coughcough*
38. Which one of your OCs would be the best dancer?
Dancer? Shit I have no idea… Starry Night possibly at best?
39. Introduce any character you want.
Sepia Tone in on my list of next to be designed.
40. Any fond memories linked to your characters? Feel free to share!
I like how my main 2 are fusions of applejack and other ocs, always crack me up.
41. Has anyone drawn fanart of your OCs? If yes, maybe show a picture or two here (remember sources & permissions!)
I have like a folder with tons of it <3
42. Which one of your OCs would be the most interested in Greek gods?
How specific but definitely Compendium. Well like greek gods ponies.
43. Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It's time to confess
Piercing and facial hair. Also I tend to go for less vibrant color then the show.
44. Something you like about your OCs in general.
I’m usually fond of the back story I have for them, I’m always trying to balance with good and back. The Fallout ones tend to be more tragic obviously.
45. A character you no longer use?
A few have no purpose yet but If I can, I’ll try to give them one. (There a lots of none mlp I don't use anymore… like all of them saved for Elliot.)
46. Has anyone ever told you that you treat your OCs badly?
Lime like to say #DawnAbuse... and he’s not wrong
47. Has anyone ever (friendly) claimed any of your OCs as their child?
Umbreow try to steal some of em. Rosy had claimed some as waifu.
48. OC who is a perfect cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure.
DAWN BREAKER ESPECIALLY FOR FALLOUT OMG.
49. Which one of your OCs would most likely enjoy memes.
Shit idk… Skyline probably.
50. Give me the good ol' OC talk here. Talk about anything you want.
This was more tired than I thought. Also I have about 10 ocs that exists but have no design/name yet.
