Arm-Knit Sashay Cowl Knitting Pattern
Extremely hot right now is arm knitting. Remarkably, Red Heart’s Sashay Yarn has enough yarn in that fabulous ball to pull off an awesome size arm knit cowl! Seriously! I know it’s hard to believe.

I have also produced a video to show you how to do it too! I have been joking with fellow…
Just finished my Star Trek sweater that I’ve been working on the past few weeks and I’m very proud of it! She’s a little messy but I had to learn a bunch of new techniques for this and it’s very comfortable :)
Trying to finish something I was supposed to do ages ago--spinning a contrast color for this sock yarn. The fleece (southdown babydoll) had a pretty wide range of grays, most of which I blended together. But I intentionally left the darkest gray out of the mix so that later I could spin up just that, and have a dark gray for the toe and heel. So, now I'm doing that.
One thing I did not realize until now (due to intentionally avoiding working with the darker gray locks) is that they are all much shorter than the other colors of gray, and a lot of them are way finer too. That's not ideal, so I might not use it for the toe--it won't be as hard-wearing of a yarn and the toe/ball of the foot is what wears out the fastest on my socks by far, so. It's fine though, I just want some kind of decorative element that uses the fact that this fleece had lots of nice colors.
I'm also not that surprised, I guess. The longest locks were always the very light gray ones. Hard to know why without seeing the sheep though.
Words cannot express how tempted I am to write a side piece to FF that details GS’ POV from finding out her grandson got stabbed to the reveal.
I want to show her full commitment to the bit. Getting Paul to assist her, listening in as Andrew and Neil talked in the car, her thoughts regarding all of this, Wymack having texted her exactly where she needed to go beforehand, her going up to the receptionist and pretending she doesn’t know English to sell the bit further, the stroke of luck that is dear sweet Nicholas, Squeezing the SHIT out of Wymack’s hand so he doesn’t rat her out because he KNOWS she’s speaks English, and the realization that is “Aw shit, they’re good kids Sara and you’ve already lied to this extent already. Time for the Smith family tradition of ‘COMMIT.’”
The argyle sweater vest is done! There is much room for improvement but i learned a lot! and i think those two colors look great together~ (if you want to make this too i followed this great tutorial)
I finished the first sleeve! Only one more to go. I have short arms, so I did have to make some changes to the pattern to make all the decreases fit in the sleeve, and I have some ideas for next time to make it fit me better, but so far I'm happy with it! Hoping to finish the second sleeve tomorrow but I don't know if I will be able to based on how long the first sleeve took me.
I've also used about 2 less balls of yarn than expected. The first sleeve only took one ball of yarn, so I'm anticipating the second to take the same, bringing my total to 7 balls of yarn (approximately 1400 yds) vs the 9 balls I expected (a little less than 1800 yds). I'm not sure if the pattern just gave a lot of wiggle room or if not, where I used that much less yarn, but I have about 1000 yds of this yarn left over, since I usually buy a little extra just in case, and used less than expected. If you have any ideas for what to make with what's left, let me know!
@slowpokegamer, here's your secret Santa piece!! Thought it would be cute to have Zane and Chikaru cuddled up watching movies in their PJs, just a chill winter night :)
I have, unbeknownst to everyone (including myself), apparently been charging my pattern writing energies for... ten years? Possibly more.
But it really looks like I just might finally nail the Ultimate Pattern For Scale Mail Gloves Of Any Size And Length...... through the power of spreadsheets

Nearing the end of the Cascading Kittens, so I thought I'd film a bit of it. Enjoy this glimpse of my stranded knitting technique and clicky-clacky of circular needles! :-D
