From my memory of mermaids (according to the wiki and how can I translate that to my ocs’s lore), Agar Jelly Cookie used to be a regular merman, like Sorbet Shark Cookie, before wanting to see the world outside the ocean. He didn’t ask for help from Black Pearl Cookie, but he still managed to be turned into a cookie through other means. At the moment I am not sure yet how he did it, probably got help from another kind of magical aquatic cookie or creature. After some time he came across a trading ship and offered his services as a cabin boy. He kept a low profile (to not be exposed as a mercookie) as he explored many places with the ship’s crewmates, until one day he travelled to the Republic and met Oyster Shell Cookie. He respected her hard-working demeaner from afar and wanted to get to know her, but didn’t want to bother her. But you know the rest from there if you checked out a post I made of Oyster Shell’s sketches.
