Actually, I think we should talk about Tubbo during Purgatory.

We have to, because the heavens know that Tubbo himself will not.

Tubbo who spent the whole time he was in Purgatory clinging to the certainty that soon enough it would all be over and they could go back to how things were.

Tubbo who believed in keeping things fair, into holding themselves accountable for their behaviors, who tried so hard to make people listen to him, who tried to make sense of things even when chaos reigned around him.

We have to talk about how Tubbo refused to believe in a world where things would never be alright after Purgatory. Tubbo who tried so hard to talk, to make deals, to protect those who elected him leader but who always, always tried to help everyone else too.

We have to talk about how Tubbo would condemn himself without thinking twice if that meant that the children would be saved, that his friends would be okay.

We have to talk about how Tubbo only ever wanted to help. How he has carried the guilt off what happened in the maze since that day, we have to talk about how Tubbo is desperate to fix what he sees as his mistake, to save his godchildren, how he never forgot the trust Philza placed into him.

We have to talk about how Tubbo refused to leave the children until there was no other choice. We have to talk about how Tubbo has always, always believed and trusted Philza, more than the man himself does, that in those last moments he knew, without a doubt that Philza could save them, that he would.

We have to talk about how Tubbo will never talk about Purgatory.

About how he will not acknowledge his pain, his suffering, the way he felt like responsibility was crushing him as he tried desperately to be heard, to make things alright for everyone, to remind them that they are fighting for the same end goal.

We have to talk because Tubbo will never acknowledge his trauma. He will push it down, down, down, until he can pretend it didn't happen, and even if it did that it didn't affect him at all. Tubbo who focuses on what he can control, on what he can do, who laughs and ignores the worried looks.

We have to talk about how Tubbo is thinking about those who didn't make it to the boat, but that he refuses to acknowledge the possibility that they are gone. That he believes, and he has to, that they will find their way back, that in the end of the day everything will be alright.

We have to talk about how Tubbo will push forward, will refuse to look back, because if he does.... Well who knows what will be left of him.

If I think about cTubbo for too long I implode because he was only 17!!!!! He was 17 and the president of a nation that wasn’t even his!!!!! He was protecting a dream to the death, a dream that wasn’t his dream. He gave up everything EVERYTHING for the dream of a man who only saw him as his sidekicks sidekick. He was never himself, he was always part of something, l’manburg, Tommy’s best friend, a spy for the rebellion, and the one time he was chosen was because it’s didn’t matter who was chosen bc the place was going up in flames anyway. He had a target on his back and became the face of evil to protect a dream that he gave his life for TWICE with zero recognition. No one listened to him and he sat alone in his big cold office as others told him how he should think and what he should do and that he was an idiot, a tyrant and called him the name of the most hated man ever just because he wanted peace, something he never had before. No one listened to him, but even his best friend who said he would be at his side but blatantly ignored him and told him that he’s just like the man that murdered him. The man that executed him at 16 years old after making him decorate his own public execution.

He was only 17 and became Atlas. he became the face of what everyone hated. People destroyed the dream that didn’t belong to him yet he gave his life, his happiness, his friends, his childhood for just to say it’s his fault that governments are corrupt af that the world would have been better if he had never been given the role. A role he didn’t ask for. A role he was thrown into just for someone else to pull the rug from under him. He was only 17

i think they would get increasingly worse with doing normal couple things with tubbo like giving him flowers or dragging him to one of their houses to sleep in bed with them every night. one of them is redesigning a room in their house probably fit's and they start asking him what he thinks of certain furniture or wallpaper and he gets really confused because he hasn't realized he moved in with them a month ago

Tubbo cocked his head in confusion at the figure outside his door. “Pac?” 

The man in question grinned at him before holding out the bouquet of small white flowers. “For you!” 

Tubbo took them gently looking at the flowers in confusion before looking back up at Pac. “What are they?” 

“They're called baby's breath.” 

Tubbo laughed. “What a strange name.” 

Pac shrugged. “Pretty though right?” 

Tubbo nodded and murmured a sound of assent. 

Pac smiled a wicked grin. “Not as pretty as you.” With a wink he skipped off leaving Tubbo alone in his doorway, face flushed and jaw gaping.

Fit would show up at all hours of the night, collapsing onto his bed and pulling Tubbo into his arms. Tubbo always squirmed, squinted at him and bitched. But the truth was he enjoyed it. It felt safe in Fit's arms and he hated being alone in a cold bed. 

Sometimes Pac would join them. Curl up on Tubbo's other side and interlock their fingers. 

He didn't know how to feel when he woke up and their fingers were still loosely entangled. 

And sometimes Pac came on his own. Pac was… more eager than Fit. Grabbing at Tubbo's waist and he came up behind him. Curling on top of him like a wet cat with sad puppy eyes. He could get anything with those eyes and he certainly tried. Fit evidently had more will because Tubbo knew the taste and shape of Pac's lips before the warrior did.

“What's your favorite color?” Fit asked as he stared at the blank wall of the new room the three of them were decorating. 

“Uhhh, blue I guess.” 

Pac smiled at that as Fit nodded. 

The next time Tubbo visited the room was painted blue. A picture of Sunny was on the wall. There was a bed big enough for three people. They all started to sleep there. Out of mere coincidence of course. Right? he thought one night as he listened to their soft snores, their arms around him. Why would they make this room specifically for him? That'd be downright ridiculous.

I really like the headcanon that if tubbo joins more purgatorys we would surely see the person that was locked away in the federation ice prison.

All I'm saying is it explains why cucurucho just let him get away with things if man's was so fucking unhinged.

Its like a twist on tubbo being a ex federation worker and I think its a little cooler cuz it could explain why cucurucho just let him run around.

Cuz he remembers what tubbo was like before the ice prison and also with his enemy.
