Please may I have a Fairy tail age regression scenario of when Little! Juvia is in a rambunctious mood and can't help but feel a desire to push some limits..her Caregiver! Gray was extremely patient because the others were very close to losing their patience with her noisy behaviour (and toys) today. Some of the caregivers were extremely grateful when Caregiver! Gray told his little! Juvia in the nicest way possible to tone down a bit with her little toys..considering some of the littles were asleep in the backroom.

*Caregiver! Lucy is a caregiver to her little! Wendy*

*Caregiver! Laxus is a Caregiver to his little! Freed*

*Caregiver! Erza is a Caregiver to her Little! Levy and Erza is often a babysitter for Jellal and the other members of the littles*

*Caregivers! And basically babysitters Gajeel and Natsu often babysat Sting and Rogue..*

(There was also other littles who also had an assigned Caregiver too in the Fairy tail guild)

Little! Juvia is a diaper user and Gray only put her in them as a precaution and rightly so considering how often she had accidents and she never realised considering that she uses her diaper as if she was using the toilet..

Noisy Raindrop

It was the middle of the day at the Fairy Tail Guildhall, and the middle of a multi-Guild playdate being held inside. Everything was going just fine so far, up until it was decided that naptime was coming up.

“Alright, all the beds have been set up in the room. Time for all of you to settle down,” Laxus stated, lifting Freed to his feet.

Not a problem, normally, but not all Littles were expected to actually nap, which caused the ones who were to start pitching fits.

“How come they get to stay up while we have to nap?” Jellal demanded.

“Yeah!” Sting exclaimed. “I wanna stay up too!”

“It’s so unfair!” Freed huffed.

“Guys, how the others choose to care for their Littles is their choice,” Erza explained patiently, holding a sleepy Levy in her arms.

“And we’re caring for you guys the way we choose to,” Gajeel stated, holding an actually asleep Rogue in his arms. “You can keep playing later.”

“And some of you are pretty tired, oh yeah!” Richard commented as Cobra and Midnight leaned against him, half-asleep.

“And all of you know how important naptime is for you,” Jura lifted Lyon into his arms. The icy Little huffed quietly.

“And others have already had their naps today,” Mirajane said, looking up from where Lisanna and Kinana played with each other.

Gray sighed, “Besides, they won’t just be playing while you guys are asleep,” he explained. “Juvia here will be having a snack and sitting with us. Isn’t that right, Raindrop?”

Juvia giggled, reaching for his hand.

“We’ll be setting up games for all of you to play together once you guys wake up,” Natsu explained, “And you don’t want to be too cranky to play later, do you?”

“No..” Sting sighed.

Jellal crossed his arms with a pout.

Lucy gently bounced Wendy in her arms. “Let’s get you all settled down, okay? We’ll wake you guys up when the hour is over.”

“Fine,” the Littles synchronized.

“Alright! I think everything looks pretty good,” Lucy said.

“I think so, too,” Erza said.

“We help!” Milliana exclaimed. Erza ruffled her hair affectionately, “You sure did!”

“Can we play the games now?” Kinana asked. Mirajane pulled her close, “Not yet. We need to wait for the others to wake up first.”

“Although, I don’t think that’s stopping some of them,” Kagura said.

“Oh no..” Gray murmured, watching anxiously as Juvia played with toys that loudly played some form of audio. First it was a dragon toy that had a voice box inside that would make it roar whenever you squeezed its chest, then a magic fairy wand that played music, a star necklace that lit up and played a jingle, and the list just keeps growing.

Gray honestly wondered if the Little was purposefully testing his patience given the fact that she only played with these toys after the others were still napping. She also never showed much interest in such toys before.

Not that he would lose his patience with his precious Raindrop, but he could feel the gazes of the others on his back, knowing they are slowly losing their patience with him.

He cleared his throat, grabbing Juvia’s attention. “Raindrop, maybe you should put those toys away,” he said, gently taking her current toy. “Besides, you’re supposed to be sitting with the Caregivers. I’ll let you have one quiet toy, but you have to stay with me.”

“Mmm..” Juvia murmured quietly, “Papa..”

Gray almost instantly knew what that meant. “Oh dear,” he chuckled lightly, “Let’s get you cleaned up, shall we?”

“I’ll go check on the others to make sure her playing didn’t wake up the others,” Erza said, before ducking into the back room.

Gray took Juvia into the designated changing room, then cooed at her and tickled her stomach once she was laid down onto her mat.

“We need to have a talk, sweetheart. You knew you weren’t allowed to play with any of those toys while the others were napping, right?”

Juvia sheepishly nodded.

“I’m not mad,” he quickly clarified as he started on getting her cleaned up, “But you are aware that those toys would have woken the others, right?”

“Juvi.. didn’t..” she admitted. “Juvi sorry..”

“Don’t worry about it, Raindrop. But those music toys are getting put away after this, and you’re going to have an early bedtime tonight.”

“Aww..”

He quickly changed her, getting her into a clean diaper, before taking her back out into the main room.

“Crisis averted,” Erza assured. “A couple of them were waking up, but I was able to get them to settle back down.”

“And Juvia here won’t be allowed near those noisemakers for the rest of today,” Gray assured the others.

“Thank goodness for that,” Gajeel huffed quietly. “Rogue is a pain to settle back down once he’s been woken up.”

“What Little isn’t?” Erza giggled.

“Alright, you’re sitting with me from now on, Raindrop," Gray booped Juvia's nose.

Juvia giggled.

Have you ever thought about transferring your FFN stories like WAY and Babysitter Laxus to AO3? I love re-reading them but there have been rumors for a while that FFN probably isn't gonna last for long and I'd be heartbroken if they disappeared from the internet. (I realize this might be an odd question since WAY was finished like seven years ago and you don't seem to be into Fairy Tail as much anymore but I got hit by the nostalgia train.) I hope you have a good day!

Hey! Don't worry, it's not an odd question at all. Yes, I do know that sadly FFN has been dying slowly and surely through these years... I still love WAY & my other FT fics there, I know it's brought me & others so much joy.

As of now I don't have any intention of removing them & they might be up in FF.Net until it's gone, but rest assured I already saved backups of them in my files! I did a major backup around last year I think?

I did recently create a 'koa-chan' pseud linked to my main Ao3! It's not in the higher priority but I do intend to archive most of my old FFNet fics there down the line too. ^-^)/

things that should be canon but mashima was a pussy part 2

hello i’m adding to this post because i’m bored and have nothing better to do..

Gajeel, Cana and Gildarts are hispanic, you can’t convince that they aren’t

Fairy Tail has a little competition (it’s like gmg but their own version) every year. Magnolia has to be alerted when it happens so they can evacuate every time if necessary usually is though

Erza, Mirajane (yes her fuck off) Gajeel, Laxus, Elfman and Bickslow all give off scary dog privileges

Gray has a terrible sleep schedule and barely sleeps so he is very prone to napping in the most random spots

Erzas love language is acts of service and gift giving. she loves seeing the looks on people’s faces when she secretly does something for them that was stressing them out or giving them a gift she knew they really wanted.

there are poker nights at the guild and Cana and Evergreen destroy everyone at it, they are tied for first place.

Natsu is everyone’s go to babysitter, all the children love him and he is just so good with kids. Lucy and Erza are tied to being close second.

monopoly has been banned from ever being played at the guild hall. Makarov even made a sign for it

Makarov has threaten to ban uno a few times.

also when they play Uno, Natsu somehow gets the entire deck but blames Gray or Gajeel for it.

Erza HATES centipedes with a passion, if she spots one she fucking loses it until it’s dead. one time she brought out he heavens wheeled armour and the guild almost collapsed

Natsu has posted notes everywhere, in his house, the guild, lucy’s place, etc. they are filled with random information

Gray is really talent at drawing because of his magic

Lucy can play most instruments because her father had her take lessons when she was a child. She’s the best at piano and violin

Gajeel 100% had a mullet at one point and does not have any regrets, he talked about it and the guild lost it. considers bringing it back but Levy won’t let him.

Levy is literally blind, she cannot see shit.

there are girls nights once a month where all of the men are kicked out of the guild and all the girls have a fun night and sleep there too. Freed has been invited a few times and he has participated before

Gajeel smells like flowers.

Also his hair is really soft and you can’t say otherwise.

Evergreen has put all of thunder legion in drag before.

Laxus does not bring it up and denys it if it is mention, Evergreen uses it as black mail.

Bickslow fucking loved it and showed up to the guild in full drag

Freed honestly liked it, Evergreen sometimes puts makeup on Freed and he looks so good

because of that experience Bickslow regularly wears eye liner

Family. That’s all Laxus ever wanted – a family. He used to believe that a mother, a father and a child made a family. But Laxus came into a world his mother had just left and all he had was his father. He thought maybe the two of them were enough but Ivan’s quest for power had consumed him and eventually, Laxus was not enough anymore.

Gramps came into his life and introduced him to a new home – Fairy Tail. But even then, his concept of family never changed. Laxus still considered his father as family, the only one he had aside from Makarov. And so, when Gramps was forced to excommunicate Ivan, Laxus considered it the highest betrayal. Because what father could disown his own son? What family would choose strangers over one’s own flesh and blood?

His dear Gramps destroyed Laxus’ family and he was so filled with hatred and darkness that he started to believe that there was no such thing as family. Only power.

Little by little, he had become his father – so obsessed with power that he was willing to step on and destroy what his grandfather held closest to his heart. But deep inside Laxus knew it wasn’t the search for power that pushed him to declare the battle of Fairy Tail. It was his hatred of his grandfather who chose a bunch of strangers over his own son. It was his loathing of Makarov, who created his own family in Fairy Tail, and left Laxus alone and lonely. Without a family. He was so consumed by his hatred that he failed to see that the only reason Makarov protected Fairy Tail was so that Laxus would never feel lonely ever again. That he would always have a family.

He was beyond saving but Makarov never gave up on him.

It was a long road for Laxus but in the end he came to finally understand what Gramps was trying to tell him. That family was not only defined by blood but most importantly, it was about love. In the end, he finally realized that he had family and all along, he was home.

But something was still missing.

Laxus’ return to the guild did not usually call for some big celebration because they did not need Laxus to create some ruckus. They got Gray and Natsu for that. Recently, however, it wasn’t only the Thunder God Tribe whose faces lit up every time the big boss came back from his long missions. One pair of blue eyes gleamed upon his return.

Mirajane Strauss. Now, that’s the woman who knew the importance of family. She had dedicated her life to protect her own.

“Welcome back, Laxus.”

There was surprise in the dragon slayer’s eyes but one that was welcomed. He gave him a soft smile, one that was considered meager as compared to Mirajane’s.

“I hope you weren’t charged with so much damages.” Mirajane started a conversation while she took the accomplishment report from the S-Class mage.

“I’m not Natsu.” defended Laxus, “nor Erza.” His orange eyes followed the Head Waitress as she read the report and filed it in the books. He planned on taking the day off and getting some much deserved rest. However, the job request Mirajane just handed to him was going to put a dent on that plan.

“Don’t forget about your promise.”

Laxus did not. He was a man of his words and when Mira decided to cash in on that promise, he would definitely honor them. But the thought had kept him up some nights. Knowing Mirajane, she’d cash in soon and would probably make him do things he’d never do as long as he was alive. Despite his inhibitions, he still agreed to go on a job with Mira. They argued about their meeting point: him wanting to pick her up from her house and Mirajane wanting to do the opposite. His pride was not having it, so, they settled on meeting halfway.

“Oi, Demon. Don’t make me do weird things.”

It was one of his wisest decisions to leave before Mirajane gave him details of the job.

“I won’t!” Mira shouted after him and the Dragon Slayer disappeared behind the wooden doors.

The next day, they met right in front of the guild, where they mutually decided was fair for the both of them. Mirajane led him to a residential district, lined on either side with common bungalow houses. Laxus was right to worry about that bright smile and even brighter blue eyes, when, at the end of the block, they were welcomed by a nice middle-aged couple about to leave them five crazy boys to care for the day. In short, Mirajane just dragged him, the great Lightning Dragon Slayer, Laxus Dreyar, into a baby-sitting job. Him? Makarov’s grandson about to follow into his footsteps in leading Fiore’s strongest guild? One of the most respected mages of whole Earthland? A Dragon freaking Slayer? Going to babysit a crazy bunch on a sugar rush? No way, Ma’am. Not in this lifetime.

If Mirajane wanted to spend her day babysitting, that’s up to her. Not Laxus Dreyar.

But if Mirajane said they were going to spend their day babysitting, that’s what they were going to do.

That’s how Laxus Dreyar found himself in the middle of all that chaos: dangling two thrashing boys in either arm; head throbbing, ear splitting from all the screaming; staying really, really still in the middle of the kitchen floor because there were loose marbles all around him. The reason why he was in the middle of marble island was with him too but instead, she was wobbly carrying some easily breakable plates.

“Kids! Don’t run around please.”

Laxus tilted his head on the side, just a little tilt, and wondered how Mirajane could keep the honey on her voice despite those little spawns of the devil making their job a tad harder than usual. If it was up to him, he’d fry the little demons and call it a night. Five evil boys, at their age and without a nanny? What were that middle-aged couple thinking? But Mirajane was nothing but patient with those kids, like she had always been with the grown-ass children back at the guild, and she was pretty good at it. So, Laxus was going to trust Mirajane with whatever crazy plan she was going to come up with.

“Do we have a plan?” asked he, trying very much not to be condescending, even though he was really close to just squeezing the squirming boys into silence, with his bare arms.

“Put me down, spark plugs!”

Laxus had learned earlier in life, you have to be stern with these boys or you would never get the respect you deserve. So, he stared down that little demon and pulled the most deadly glare he had mastered.

“I’m gonna show you plugs if you don’t keep quiet.”

Which, his inexperienced ass had taught him, was not a very good idea, since the boy with mahogany hair discovered a higher pitch for his screaming.

Definitely not the best idea.

“So?” He turned back to the woman who at least was the more experienced between them.

All the answer she could offer him was an apologetic smile – beautiful but apologetic smile. Then, not like it was crazy enough – that Mirajane was out of any ideas, crazy or not – the universe was really testing them. Five, eight and ten year olds never listen to anything an adult says. Because when you tell them not to run around, they bump into you while you’re carrying a tower of ceramic plates.

So, Laxus had to step up and use some magic. He charged the marbles with small static to clear up a way for Mirajane.

“Cool!” one of the kids exclaimed and the two stubborn rascals in his arms stopped squirming for freedom. The kids all demanded he do it again, cheering him on until Laxus caved in.

Now, he wasn’t the kind of man who got pushed over and ordered around. No one could make Laxus do what he didn’t want to do. But those kids were looking at him like was some kind of a hero. And so, Laxus charged the marbles again so they rolled around the kitchen floor in some entertaining fashion. The boys didn’t move an inch.

Kids were too easy.

Easy to win over and had no loyalty, at all.

Because now they were entertaining their eyes with Mirajane’s Take-Over magic. Who even thought a pink giant lizard was cool?

Traitors.

His static charged marbles rolling around every direction was way, way cooler.

Laxus did not feel abandoned by his disciples. No way. He decided to sit there at the couch, comfortably at that, and scoffed at those simpletons who thought a blue bunny existed in this world. Geez. His great magic skills were a waste on those kids. Laxus glanced towards where the giggly laughters were coming from.

What a bunch of school girls.

Laxus was just thankful he didn’t have to waste any more energy on children’s play, quite literally. But his plan on spending the rest of the night slipping into a nap – and letting Mirajane do all the babysitting – was put on hold when, at the corner of his eyes, he saw a nonthreatening silhouette standing under the arch. Not a second later, a little girl holding a blue bunny stepped into the light. They held each other’s stare, one studying the other. Then, the little girl with the long reddish, brownish hair approached the big guy on her parent’s couch.

“Who are you?” interrogated her. “And why are you lazing around in my house?”

Laxus thought she was very articulate for a little girl.

“Laxus.” He offered his name. “I’m your bab– I’m your guardian for tonight.”

“You mean my babysitter?”

One orange eye twitched at the word. It was enough Laxus had his argumentative baby blue eyes at home; he didn’t need another one on his job too.

“Guardian. Alright?” insisted the big guy. “Now, it’s past your bed time. Why are you still up?”

“Those brats woke me up.”

She climbed onto the couch and settled next to her babysitter. The way she casually dropped he word ‘brat’ pulled the corners of Laxus’ mouth just slightly up but the spark of amusement in his eyes showed that his interest was piqued.

“Is that your girlfriend?”

Laxus’ orange eyes followed her stare and saw Mirajane turning back to her original form. But one who never shared about his life, the guardian a.k.a babysitter tried to dodge the bullet.

“Didn’t your parents tell you not to talk to strangers?”

She nodded in response. “Stranger Danger.”

Laxus wanted to ignore the kid but she had other plans.

“Is she your girlfriend?”

“So, why are you still talking to me?”

“You gave me your name. So, you’re not a stranger.”

Laxus kept his lips shut just in case smarty-mouth took the hint and would just go away. Turned out, she wasn’t as smart as he thought she was.

“Is she your girlfriend?”

Couldn’t get the hint.

“I could be dangerous.”

“You’re a big guy lazing around a couch.” She gave her a look that made him feel like he was stupid. “How dangerous can you be?”

That was not only Little Miss Smarty Pants being such a smart pants but also being the ingenious, unintentional snark that she apparently was. Laxus could feel another headache coming.

“How old are you again?”

“Eight. Is she your girlfriend?”

Laxus eyed the girl, giving her one of those serious, intimidating look he used to scare the people in his guild with. It did not make her budge, not even just a little. Laxus just had to admit defeat. The little girl was not going to drop the subject until she was satisfied with an answer.

“Sort of.”

Appearing satisfied with that, the smarty pants whipped her head to the side to study the lady who was making her brothers guffaw. In just a matter of seconds, she already made up her mind about Mirajane. “She isn’t that pretty.”

That was a surprise for Laxus. As far as he knew, Mirajane Strauss was every man’s dream. Sometimes, a woman’s too. Guys wanted her. Girls wished they could be her. But, what did an eight year old know?

The girl turned to face him again and, in a matter-of-fact tone, told him he could do better.

Laxus folded his lips to keep that thin line on his face from pulling wider. He didn't want to be the one to tell Mirajane that an eight year old girl just flatly told him that Laxus was out of Mirajane’s league. He couldn't fault the child for being that honest. Kids didn't lie.

"You think so?"

"Yeah." The little girl answered around a big yawn. Then, she leaned on the big guy and rested her head against his arm, pulling her blue bunny tight to her chest. “Way better.”

It maybe wasn't right for him to feel good about that but he did. Sure, he wasn't going to win the best secret boyfriend award but the woman being so lovable made him doubt himself. Laxus knew he wasn't the friendly, approachable type. Kids were either afraid or just dismissive of him. He had improved over the years but sometimes, as much as he told himself it didn’t bother him, Laxus was worried that he wasn’t as likeable as Gramps, who was grooming him to be the next Guild Master. There were times he’d think he made a breakthrough, like earlier, when those boys looked up to him like he was the greatest thing in the world. Then, all of the sudden, he wasn’t. But thanks to this little girl sleeping soundly beside him, Laxus felt a lot better.

“She said that?”

Mirajane showed no signs of being bothered or insulted by a little girl calling her ‘not that pretty’. In fact, she was more surprised that Laxus was the one hogging their conversation. He tried to repress the enthusiasm in his voice and expression but the Dragon Slayer was never this chatty. On their walks, Laxus always played the audience and Mira would always talk his ears off.

“Don’t take it too personally.”

It was very late in the evening and the two managed to put the kids to sleep before the couple came home to relieve them. Guardian missions paid well and Laxus finally realized why.

“Those boys gave you a hard time, huh?”

“It’s like we never left the guild.” Mirajane’s giggles were abruptly cut off by the sudden gush of wind.

Laxus noticed it. So, he shrugged out of his large coat and draped it over Mira’s shoulders. To keep himself warm, he shoved his hands inside his pant pockets and slid closer to her as they continued with their walk home. Bickslow said something about sharing heat or something. He said girls liked that.

“Mina’s just like you.”

The declaration made Mirajane turn to him, a bit surprised. The little girl obviously hated her. “Really? How so?”

“She snores when she sleeps.”

Yeah, she thought. She pulls your hair and pretends to sleep too.

“Oh.” Mirajane didn’t really know what to make of it. She was sure she didn’t snore. Or did she?

“And talks in her sleep.”

Mirajane didn’t think she did that. But that wasn’t the thought that caused her stop and fall behind. Looking back, she realized that from the client’s house up to now, they’ve only been talking about the boys and their sister, Mina. Laxus even had that warm expression on his face when she talked about the little girl who slapped and kicked Mirajane when she tried to pick her up from the couch to place to bed. But when it was Laxus who carried her away, Mina snuggled up to him and slept in his arms, like a baby.

“Mina’s really…” Laxus struggled, although he tried not to show it, to look for the right word to finish his sentence. “C-cu–. Mira?” He only noticed Mira’s absence when he looked at beside him and she wasn’t there.

“Oi,” Laxus came back for her. Worry and confusion made lines appear on his forehead, “what’s wrong?”

She stared at him, studying his features slowly changed as years passed by. Mira remembered the time when he was just a little boy, the cute young golden boy who doted on his grandfather. The little boy whom people expected great things from. Vignettes of his growing years played in her memory, his highs and his lows, until her reminiscing brought her to the here and now, staring at the man that Laxus had become.

“Mirajane.” His voice was laced with equal concern and warning.

“Do you know why I took this mission?”

She was proud of him, of how far Laxus had come. He started as a sweet kid; broken by what Laxus took as his grandfather’s betrayal when he sent away Ivan; until he found his way back home.

“I’m not in the mood to play guesses, Mira.”

And he realized that family was not only defined by blood but also by love. That we may be born into a family but sometimes, when we are lucky, we find one or we get to create our own.

“Because I wanted to see how you’ll be around kids.” Without knowing it, tears had started to roll down her cheeks. Mira rested her hand over her belly, feeling the bump that wasn’t there yet. “Now that we’re expecting one.”

The cruel, November wind slapped on Mira’s tear-stricken cheeks. It was late and the streets had been emptied. From Laxus’ expression, she was glad they had the privacy to have that conversation. Mira dropped the hand on her belly and tightened the large coat around her body with it. For the first time since she received the good news, Mirajane got scared. She got scared as she stared into Laxus’ widened eyes and found no emotion in them. She took a step back, mind in complete mess.

Did he not want the child? Would she be raising their child on her own?

Questions ran around and about her mind. But Mirajane was strong. In those quick moments when he said nothing, she tried to rebuild a life that was just in ruins.

Mira took a deep breath, mustering the courage to tell him, “You… you don’t have to do anything. I–”

But before she could finish her sentence, Laxus had bridged the small distance she placed between them. He dropped his head on her shoulder and once again, they fell into complete silence.

“I’m just tired, Mira.”

Laxus words were muffled by the collar of his coat but Mirajane could hear the croak in his voice. He didn’t say anything after that but Mira noticed his shoulders lightly shaking. When he shifted his head to nuzzle at the crook of her neck, she felt his warm tears. Right there and then, without Laxus saying anything, Mira finally understood his feelings. She gently patted the back of his head, silently telling him that it was okay. They were going to be okay. They were going to figure it out, together.

Laxus then wrapped his arms around Mira’s slender figure, tighter and tighter, until her fears were squashed. The thought of messing it up as first time parents tentatively crossed her mind but she wasn’t afraid of it. Because it was Laxus. Because she was going to embark on that journey with Laxus. Because even in his small voice, she heard his words over the low howling of the November wind.

“Thank you, Mira.”

Family. That’s all Laxus ever wanted – a family. Even if his definition of it had changed over the years, one stood the test of time. Laxus was the luckiest man alive to have known a family defined by blood, by love and now, by both.

Bonus:

Laxus did not know regrets. He believed that everything that happened – good or bad –were, simply, opportunities to learn.

But now he was starting to regret when he told his wife he wanted a daughter.

“I hate you, Papa!”

His three year-old hit him with a fist in the face. Now, being the daughter of two of the strongest mages in Fairy Tail, his daughter’s punch could not be taken lightly.

“Princess, you need to eat your vegetables.”

“No!”

“But it will help you grow.”

She crossed her arms and barked a definite, “No!”

If she was a boy, Laxus’ glare would do the trick. But when it comes to his little princess, Fairy Tail’s ninth guild-master could not keep a straight face, how much more a frown.

“But–”

“See? This is why you shouldn’t spoil her.” Mirajane, with a slight bump on her tummy, moved around her husband to her seat at the dining table. She wasn’t too far along but already showing. “Fayna, you need to eat your vegetables.”

The Dreyar daughter did not say a word but only gave her mother a look that said, ‘make me’, which Mirajane did not appreciate coming from a three year old. It also didn’t help that pregnancy hormones cut her patience by half; so, Mira stared back at her daughter and the two ended up in a silly stand-off, while the father took the cowardly way out by just waiting for them to stop.

Just another day at the Dreyar House.

Laxus knew exactly how it would end – with his little princess crying to her daddy.

Fayna’s baby blue eyes brimmed with tears. Laxus just had to count to three until his little demon conceded to the other demon in the house, curl up to her daddy and cry to him.

“Mama’s being mean, again?”

Fayna buried her face against the dragon-slayer’s chest and nodded, clutching on his father’s pressed shirt.

“Laxus!”

The dragon-slayer shrugged but gave his wife an apologetic smile. Papa Laxus was definitely whipped and totally twisted around his little princess’ finger. Mirajane did not like it one bit. She didn’t like to always play the bad guy and she told him about that. Laxus promised he would try to be stern with the little demon. When the time came, he’d be the one to discipline her.

Laxus sought her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, his orange eyes begging for understanding. Mirajane just rolled her eyes and Laxus mouthed quick thanks.

When the day came that his daughter wanted to learn magic and eventually joined the guild. When she finally went to her first mission without her Papa and Mama. When Fayna finally sought her independence, he’ll subject her to the same discipline the Guild Master puts all the kids at the guild. No special treatment for his Fayna.

But for the meantime, while Fayna was still his baby girl and she still liked her papa, Laxus wanted to spoil his little princess.

It had happened several times already, she knew. Ultear switching ‘babysitter’ from Laxus to Sting. But this time…Lucy knew she was really going to notice the time mage’s absence. Researching and spending time together for the past few weeks had been…really nice, she had to admit. Ultear was intelligent and funny, she made for great company, which was something Lucy appreciated, as she’d found it rather hard to come by lately.

As she watched Ultear wave goodbye to others in the Fairy Tail hall, Lucy wondered if the sinking feeling she had was a result of selfishness, and she frowned at herself. Was she sad to see a friend leave ( even if it was only temporary )? Or was she sad for herself?

She chewed her lip, her thoughts twisting in her stomach. She almost didn’t notice when Ultear appeared before her. Lucy pulled herself together to offer a smile, but before she could say anything, she found herself in the other woman’s embrace.

For a moment, Lucy held still in surprise, but then she caught up with the moment and hugged back, her face brushing against long, dark hair. Ultear, she thought absently, was very nice to hug.

Lucy sighed and hugged her tighter for a moment, letting go only when Ultear did ( but rather reluctantly at that ). She let her arms drop to her sides and soon locked her hands behind her back.

“Well…” said Lucy, smiling, “Goodbye for now, I guess. I’m sure you’ll be back here in no time. And, um…well we can still call or message, i-if you want.”

She tried valiantly to keep the last part casual, and to keep herself from turning a little pink ( it didn’t quite work ).

Clearing her throat, she turned away, lifting a hand in a quick wave. “Bye! Keep out of trouble and stay safe, okay?”

100 Headcanon Challenge: Fraxus

Freed is well-mannered in public, but is often a bit grumpy in private - Laxus teases him constantly, saying that Freed is borderline “two-faced”

Freed is not a morning person and Laxus learned that the hard way after he commented on Freed’s bed-head

They don’t do fancy parties often, but they do host dinner events with Evergreen, Bickslow, and Makarov every once in a while

Laxus finds Freed’s devil-side really attractive, and is terrible at hiding it

Freed is the one who confessed to Laxus. They got home from a mission, and Freed asked Laxus to stay behind at the train station with him while Bickslow and Evergreen went on ahead. Both Evergreen and Bickslow knew what Freed was planning, so they went ahead without a second thought.

Freed found it hard to get the words out, so he just pulled Laxus down into a kiss then said “These are my feelings. Take it, or leave it.” Laxus replied by asking Freed if he wanted to grab a bite before they went back home to unpack. Freed asked, “Like, on a date?” and Laxus said, “Yeah, like a date.”

Because of his eyemagic, Freed’s eyes can be extremely light-sensitive and sometimes its causes painful migraines—Which causes Freed to lock himself in his dark bedroom

When Freed has one of this really bad days, Laxus just does everything he can to help Freed, even if it’s just sitting in the dark alone with him—Dragonslayers can see in the dark, anyway

Laxus is a fashion disaster, it doesn’t help that he’s colorblind, so Freed is the reason behind his iconic outfit choices

Freed loves the color purple on Laxus, it just looks really good on him, okay?

The first one to say “I love you” was Laxus

Freed and Laxus taking sparring and training seriously - But they also get more flirtatious the more they go at it

Laxus also loves helping Freed practice his sword combat - Even if he can’t use swords for the life of him

Freed is really good at flirting, and constantly teases Laxus - Laxus is very bad at flirting, but he can get there eventually

Laxus is awkward af and Freed is smooth

One of the real reasons Laxus didn’t want to dance with Freed at the Grand Magic Ball, was because he can’t dance—Meanwhile Freed had taken Ballroom lessons for years

This was back when their relationship was new, and Freed thought that maybe Laxus didn’t want to be in a relationship—He thought that he had overstepped Laxus’s boundaries

Laxus later explained that he was just embarrassed about slow-dancing in front of others

Freed offered to teach Laxus, but he refused—Laxus took dance lessons while they were planning their wedding

Laxus really wanted to invite his father to come to their wedding, but he couldn’t risk putting anyone in trouble—Freed knew this, and he felt terrible that he couldn’t do anything to make him feel better

About three (3) days before the wedding, Laxus got tired of all the planning and asked Freed if they could elope—They did, and got married in a small town by the sea

The guild was upset and forced them to repeat their vows

Their wedding made the front page of Sorcerer’s Weekly

After the got married, the both changed their names to “Justine-Dreyar”

A couple months after the wedding, Laxus was asked to become the next guild master—But he gave the title to Cana

After that, Freed and Laxus took a couple months off to go on a vacation

Laxus struggled when it came to coming to terms with his sexuality, and while their relationship was new, Freed constantly tried to help him

Finally, Laxus identified as gay, after he realized he was defiantly more into men than women

Freed offered to be there when Laxus came out to Makarov, but Laxus wanted to do it by himself - Laxus didn’t even mention that he was gay, just that he was dating Freed

Makarov was very accepting of their relationship, and even talked to Freed about taking care of Laxus

When the guild found out, of course they were very loudly happy for them - But Cana had started a betting pool

Freed and Laxus both love music, but only Freed can play instruments (violin, piano, and the bass) - Laxus is too impatient to learn how to play instruments

Laxus is still learning how to open himself up emotionally, so Freed is often the one who answers questions about their relationship

Laxus doesn’t enjoy being involved in crowds, seeing as he’s socially awkward, so Freed is often in charge of carrying conversations, even if though Freed isn’t fond of crowds himself

You know the stereotype that gays can't sit properly? This is very true for these two. Laxus constantly sits on tables instead of using chairs, claiming its because its more comfortable

Once, Bisca and Alzack asked Freed and Laxus if they could babysit Asuka for a couple of days while they went on a mission because their regular babysitter (Natsu) was on a job—Also, they were the first people they saw

Freed and Laxus aren’t bad with kids, they are just awkward around them

Asuka spent the majority of the first night braiding Freed’s hair—Which resulted in Laxus having to make dinner

Laxus nearly burned down the kitchen and they had to go out for dinner—It wasn’t until Freed moved in that Laxus had an actual hot meal almost every night

While they were out, the waiter assumed that Asuka was their daughter and commented that they were both really good dads—It embarrassed them both, but they started talking about adoption afterwards

Freed does most of the cooking because Laxus can’t cook—Laxus does most of the cleaning

Laxus acts like he doesn’t like being touched (in public especially), but in private he’s very cuddly. He loves being hugged, held, or just shown any affection.

Freed is shorter than Laxus (obviously) so he gets frustrated that he can’t give Laxus forehead kisses

They aren’t a big PDA couple, but they are all over each other in private

When drunk, Freed gets confused over what is fact and fiction, and often makes false statements about facts—Laxus likes teasing Freed over these statements when he’s sober

Freed loves to read, but he needs glasses to read. He thought that Laxus might tease him about needing glasses, the same way he teases Evergreen, but Laxus doesn’t tease him about it at all

Laxus actually has a thing for glasses

Laxus loves when Freed reads to him, he loves Freed’s voice

Sometimes, Freed falls asleep on the couch while reading on the couch, and Laxus has to carry Freed upstairs and put him in bed - Always careful that he doesn’t loose Freed’s place in his book

Freed discovered that Laxus is very ticklish - but its a bad idea too tickle him

Once Freed walked in on Laxus sniffing one of his shirts - Laxus was flustered as hell, but told Freed it was because of his scent

Summary: After discovering that Freed never played in his childhood, Natsu decides to make up for it, ignoring the rune wizard’s hostility. [Freed & Natsu, Freed/Natsu]

Babysitters, rides and water guns

Freed didn’t know exactly how he found himself in that situation. Maybe it was Laxus’ fault, who had decided to go on a mission alone, or Evergreen, who went out on a secret date with Elfman, or maybe it was Bickslow’s fault, who took a mission with Lucy. Freed didn’t know, he just knew that since his companions weren’t there, he found himself having to look after Asuka alone. It wouldn’t have been a problem if Freed hadn’t felt terribly uncomfortable with children. Yes, he had done a mission with Wendy, but Wendy was older while Asuka… Asuka just wanted to play.

“Can we play hide-and-seek?” Asuka asked.

“We are two,” Freed pointed out. He wasn’t sure it was a good excuse to avoid playing. Why didn’t Asuka like to read? Freed had a lot of children’s books, but Asuka hadn’t even looked at them.

“Wizards versus monsters?”.

“Um… we are two,” Freed repeated. Damn, he should have said no to Alzack and Visca and made up a commitment.

“Can we do a mission?”.

“You’re too young,” Freed said. Absolutely he would not have endangered the child.

“But I did it with Natsu and Lucy!” Asuka complained, puffing out her cheeks. She was probably getting nervous about all the things Freed was denying her.

“Really?” Freed asked frowning. In reality he wasn’t so surprised, Natsu didn’t think every now and then. But had he really put Asuka’s life at risk? Freed didn’t even want to think about it.

“Yes, a simple mission, simple simple” she begged with two huge and sweet eyes. Freed groaned internally.

“I can teach you some runes,” he offered. All children liked magic after all.

“No, your magic is boring” Freed was slightly annoyed at that answer. Asuka was insatiable. He was about to offer her to watch a broadcast on the Lacrima when someone called out to them.

“Hey, Freed, Asuka!” Natsu yelled. Asuka immediately lit up her face and ran towards Natsu.

“Natsu!” she exclaimed throwing herself into his arms and Natsu lifted and spinned her, laughing happily. Freed looked at them a bit annoyed and approached.

“Why are you here?” Natsu asked curiously.

“Mom and Dad went on a mission and Freed babysits me. But he’s boring, can I stay with you?” Asuka asked. Freed got a bit more annoyed as Natsu giggled and ruffled Asuka’s hair, placing her back on the ground.

“We can all go to the carnival,” he proposed. Freed wanted to take Asuka’s toy gun and shoot himself. Carnival, really? Full of chaos, children screaming everywhere, rides on which Natsu couldn’t ride -and so Freed would have to go- and with deafening music? It was the last place Freed wanted to set foot. In the end he accepted, after all he couldn’t deny everything to the child.

Fortunately, the terrible afternoon was over. Terrible was an understatement. Freed had had to go on all the rides with Asuka, because Natsu couldn’t do it -the only time he tried it he threw up all the lunch on Freed’s boots. He had had to shoot guns to win a bear to give to Asuka. Then he had to do some challenges with Natsu, because apparently Asuka wasn’t the only child he had to look after, and among the various challenges there was the strength test, the outcome of which wasn’t yet known since only Natsu had thrown his fist. Then the strength test came off the ground and hit the ferris wheel, so not only had Freed not been able to prove that he was stronger, he had also had to pay for the two rides.

But luckily the day was over, Freed couldn’t wait to throw himself into bed and sleep. They had just greeted Asuka who had come home with her parents, when Natsu giggled.

“You don’t know how to deal with children, huh?” he asked.

“I don’t like them,” Freed just said. “And I don’t like the carnival”.

“How can you not like it?” Natsu asked.

“How can you like it, since you can’t get on three quarters of the rides” Freed retorted rather annoyed. He was still pissed about the boots and the money spent.

“It’s fun, there are so many games,” Natsu replied shrugging.

“I find it anything but funny”.

“You act like an old, Freed,” Natsu said.

“And you as a child,” Freed retorted. Natsu wasn’t offended and laughed.

“Better as a child than as an old man. You should’ve fun sometimes, like you did as a child”. Freed frowned for a moment.

“Then I’m already doing” he said bitterly. Natsu looked at him confused but Freed hurried to say goodnight, that day had exhausted him more than a mission. In addition, he didn’t want to talk about his childhood without some kind of play or fun.

What Freed didn’t expect was that Natsu burst into his house the next day while he was having breakfast, with a big smile on his face and an energy that would make anyone envious. Freed looked at him annoyed and still tired as he drank his coffee, wondering how anyone got so much energy in the early morning.

“I’ve planned a day just for us!” exclaimed Natsu enthusiastically “We will go to the carnival, to the arcade, to play at the river, and then we can go to Crocus in Ryuzetsu Land, and I have a lot of fun games in mind.”

Freed looked at him still sleepy and dazed.

“Why?” was the only thing he was able to ask. He was really tempted to throw Natsu out of the house and build runic walls to have nothing to do with him.

“Well, you said you never enjoyed yourself as a kid. It’s a bit sad, so it’s time to have fun,” Natsu said. Freed looked at him surprised, both by the fact that Natsu had understood what Freed had said the night before -Natsu was smarter than what he was showing- and by his nice gesture. Freed still wasn’t sure he wanted to do all the things Natsu had listed, but he had to admit it was a nice thought.

“I’m not a child, Natsu. It’s a bit late”.

“It’s never late,” Natsu retorted with a huge contagious smile. “Come on, get ready. We have the train in twenty minutes!” he exclaimed. Freed at that point found himself accepting, hoping only not to regret it as he had done the day before. At least this time he knew he didn’t have to take Natsu on any merry-go-round and not let him do the strength test.

Freed had to admit the afternoon wasn’t that bad. It certainly was better than the previous afternoon, but Freed still wouldn’t have said that he was having fun. However, it had been very satisfying to beat Natsu with a pistol and shotgun shooting, a little less when Natsu had beaten him at the launch of the ring. Then for some strange reason Natsu had dragged him into the tub of colored balls. Freed still didn’t understand why it should be fun to be in there -and honestly it was a bit humiliating since that was technically a kid’s game- but Natsu seemed to enjoy a lot.

Suddenly Natsu threw a ball at his head and Freed glared at him. He had absolutely no intention of starting to play with those damn balls, no matter how much Natsu instigated him. The Dragon Slayer, however, burst out laughing heartily. Freed raised an eyebrow without understanding why, and stared at him waiting for an explanation, but Natsu continued to laugh with tears in his eyes.

“What’s so funny?” Freed asked after a while. Natsu calmed down a little with laughter.

“That I managed to drag you into a child’s game. It’s too funny to see you in here” Natsu admitted continuing to giggle. Freed frowned. “It’s even more laugh if you make that face, you look like a pouting child whose candy has been stolen,” Natsu continued. Freed got slightly annoyed and stood up, trying not to hit his head against the ceiling and not to trip between the balls. Seriously, why had he accepted? Before leaving he grabbed a couple of balls and threw them at Natsu, pushing him under almost suffocating him. Then, since he didn’t want to start any stupid battles, he hurried out of there.

Unfortunately, Natsu came out shortly after, he was still giggling.

“In the end, I dragged you into the game. Now let’s go…”.

“Home,” Freed said.

“Ok let’s go to Magnolia, I have a game in mind. Since you enjoyed shooting, I bet you’ll like that too,” Natsu said, slapping him on the back. Freed groaned slightly.

“I didn’t enjoy that stupid game”.

“You did, you didn’t hide the smile as you wanted.”

“It was a satisfied smile because I beat you drastically,” Freed pointed out, but he didn’t help convince Natsu that he wasn’t having fun.

They returned to Magnolia but instead of reaching Freed’s house, Natsu dragged him out of his house and took two water pistols.

“Let’s have a fight” Natsu suggested.

“No,” Freed said categorically. He had played enough games already, and as long as he was shooting others it was fun too. Natsu shooting him with the water pistol didn’t seem funny in the least. But before he could leave Natsu fired, but it wasn’t water that came out of the gun. Natsu laughed out loud as Freed ran a finger across his cheek. Blue paint. Natsu had just hit him with blue paint on his face.

“You’re dead” Freed said, Natsu threw the other gun at him and Freed caught it, although his intention was not to play, but to hit him with a rune.

“No rules, whoever is less colorful wins!” Natsu exclaimed starting to shoot again. Freed couldn’t avoid the blow and felt the paint run down his hair. He would have killed Natsu for real. Instead of pulling out his sword and drawing his runes, however, he decided that he would first reduce Natsu to his own states and raised his gun ready to fight. He had to admit that it was quite fun to hit Natsu with the yellow paint on the forehead and he started to enjoy it.

With the fact that there were no rules, they both soon began to use magic. Freed rose into the air with his wings as Natsu began firing fire to keep him from flying far. Freed also discovered that by turning the barrel of the gun he could use different color paints and had a lot of fun coloring Natsu as much as possible, getting his revenge and giggling when he saw Natsu with more green and yellow skin than his normal color.

The battle ended only when the guns were discharged and Freed went ashore again.

“I won,” he said immediately looking at how Natsu was reduced. The Dragon Slayer shook his head laughing.

“You haven’t seen yourself in the slightest. I doubt I can be more colorful than you”.

Freed looked down and noticed that indeed all of his clothes were colored. His once white shirt was rainbow colored, his pants more green than black, his boots soaked in yellow. He dared not imagine what his hair looked like. But he didn’t need to imagine it, because when he entered Natsu’s bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror he saw it by himself. They were completely covered in paint. However, instead of getting annoyed, Freed found himself smiling slightly.

“You had fun!” Natsu exclaimed noticing his smile.

“Not at all,” Freed said recovering his serious expression.

“You did, I knew you would like it!” exclaimed the Dragon Slayer. Freed stared at him seriously, but he had to admit it was becoming difficult to hold back the smile. He wouldn’t have admitted that he enjoyed playing that stupid childish game anyway.

“I didn’t, and in any case I won,” he established.

“That’s not true,” Natsu retorted, pointing to Freed’s hair. The two began to argue about who was more colorful and in the end only Happy’s arrival interrupted their discussion. The Exceed observed the two boys confused, above all, he observed Freed confused, wondering both what he was doing at Natsu’s house and why they were both colored with paint. If it hadn’t been Freed, Happy would have thought they had been playing with guns full of paint but… it was Freed. It wasn’t possible. But when, before leaving the house, Freed took a can of paint and spilled it on Natsu’s hair with a smile that was both sadistic and amused at the same time, Happy realized that they really did.

“And with that I won,” Freed established as he watched the orange paint come down to the ground with Natsu staring at him in shock.

“It’s not valid!”

“I never heard ‘Stop’” Freed retorted and before Natsu could restart the game Freed disappeared in a glitter of runes.

Laxus was already ready to throw a punch at Natsu to refuse yet another challenge, but to his surprise the Dragon Slayer wasn’t aiming at him.

“Freed, I want a rematch!”. Laxus didn’t even have time to wonder what rematch he was talking about, because Natsu raised a gun and fired paint at Freed. Silence fell in the guild and Laxus almost feared for Natsu’s life, sure that Freed would begin to torture him. To his surprise, however, Freed got up from the table and badly grabbed Natsu’s gun, turning it around and hitting the boy with a smile that didn’t suit his friend in the least.

“I really don’t think you’ll have it,” he said, starting to shoot paint.

Laxus continued to look in shock at Natsu and Freed, who had started playing in the middle of the guild. “What the hell is going on?”

“They seem to get along well,” Bickslow grinned, ready to jump into the fray.

“Please, no,” Laxus groaned. He wanted at least the Raijinshuu Captain not to be influenced by that herd of madmen.

5 times people got an insight into Freed and Laxus’ marriage and one time the whole guild did.

For @bluejaii, who sent me the sweetest ask and for @aceofheartsworld who always leaves the most heartwarming comments !

1. Gildarts

On the unique times that Gildarts is present in the guildhall, there are a few things he likes to do. The first being showering his amazing daughter with love and support, of course. Making good use of the guild's alcohol supply is second and his third favourite thing, involves bothering the shit out of the youngsters. Wendy and Romeo are easy to fool, eager to believe anything as long as it's said by an adult (Wendy more so than Romeo). Others are unbotherable (he doesn't know how to tease Erza without gravely insulting her, she ticks in a weird way.) Elfman is very easy to tease (How's your girlfriend doing?) and flustering Juvia is the simplest thing in the world. Now, one of Gildarts' favourite victims must be Laxus Dreyar himself.

The youngster has always been a bit (a lot) defensive when it comes to personal relationships and it's only gotten worse with the years. So of course, Gildarts has been asking the young man the same question every time he sees him : "You married yet?" It never fails to ruffle his feathers and Gildarts' always hides his laugh when the other man starts to look at anything but him before stomping off to God knows where.

Because Laxus probably relates Gildarts to feelings ranging from lowkey annoyance to highkey annoyance, the youngster tends to avoid him. So it comes as a complete surprise when Laxus enters the guildhall, lays eyes on Gildarts and smirks. His surprise gets even bigger when the young man takes a seat right in front of him and says : "Let's talk old man."

Although he's a little put off by Laxus seeking him out, he's not about to let that deter him from bothering the man. Leaning back, he plans to ask his usual question, absolutely sure of its effect until he studies Laxus carefully. He has his hand propped up under his chin and his smile gets smugger when Gildarts' eyes land on his ringfinger. His ringfinger adorned with an actual ring. A wedding ring. On Laxus' finger. After a minor mindimplosion, Gildarts opens his mouth to scream. Laxus stops him by slamming a menu card into his mouth.

"Listen, I'm here for one reason and reason only", Laxus states and glares at him with eyes that are very, very alike to Makarov's when he's displeased. Fucking genetics. "Okay, shoot."

"You had one wife that you liked, right? Cana's ma." He nods. "She was the love of my life. Why do you ask?” For a long time, Laxus stares at him and Gildarts wonders if the other is evaluating how genuine he is. Then, he crosses his arms and lowers his head unto them. "My partner is amazing", he blurts out and after that, he starts a three hour rant about why he loves his spouse.

2. Cana

"Laxus, drink with me!" she yells before plopping down annoyingly close next to him on the bench, invading his personal space just a little bit. She knows it doesn't bother Laxus at all, but it does bother his greenie and Cana has decided that she has the full right to pester him in every petty way possible. Scanning the area, she comes to the conclusion that Freed isn't around. Bummer.

"It's the good stuff", she winks and he gives her an amused huff before shaking his head. "No thanks, I'm good." Sticking out her tongue, she slaps his bicep. "Boo, where did your sense of adventure go? Your tongue for excellent beerrrr", she says while obnoxiously rolling her r's. "I think my husband wouldn't appreciate it too much, should I arrive at home drunk. I don't want to arrive home drunk either, because it makes my memory spotty and you best believe that I do not want to forget a single moment with my spouse."

Oh god. Laxus Dreyar isn't even drunk and he's already sappy. Looking at the clock, Laxus hums before ruffling her hair and standing up. "Dinnertime's rolling around and I'm not a lowly fucker, so I'm going to help my husband. You have fun, Cana." Watching his retreating back, Cana mutters : "Need me a freak like that."

3. Gajeel

On some subconscious level, Laxus still makes him feel a bit jittery. They've both been absolutely shitty, turned around and became less shitty. They have even regularly fought the same fights and Gajeel has teased the man quite a bit (as long as there were other people around). Doesn't mean that his body has forgotten what getting electrocuted felt like. So, one can understand that Gajeel felt an itty bitty nervous when Laxus stormed into the guildhall and then in his direction.

"Gajeel." His hope that the man was seeking out someone else leaps out of the window. "What", he snaps back and the other man's jaw tightens. "Your bookworm." Immediately, the protectiveness flares up, nervousness forgotten. "What about her?"

"She likes books."

What. How the fuck does this man's brain work? Looking at Laxus, who's running his hand through his hair and huffing in frustration, he decides to shut up until the guy finds his words. He doesn't seem to be that good at it. "You guys went to that book convention two towns over a few days ago. Did she think it was worth it?"

Laxus being the reading type? That's one that Gajeel did not see coming. Then it hits him like a freighttrain and he cackles. "Need a place to take your boyfriend to? Don't worry, I won't tell a soul."

"My what? I don't have a boyfriend." Oops. Turns out he was too fast. "My bad, but seriously ask Freed out, he'll say yes. Not to overstep any boundaries or something, but you deserve happiness and shit. People tell me that a lot, so I thought I'd relay the message." The corner of Laxus' mouth turns up and Gajeel mentally pats himself on the back. God, he's good at this. He should start making motivational songs.

"Thanks, my husband tends to tell me that too." Then he leaves. The jackass.

4. Lucy and Natsu

It's a mystery. An enigma. A plotline more intriguing than anything she'd cooked up lately. What is this baffling conundrum Lucy has been trying to unravel? Laxus Dreyar's dating life.

Okay, maybe it isn't that big of a deal, but the man is surrounded by the prettiest people in the world (Mirajane, Cana, to name a few) and doesn't seem to be too interested in them (she can't relate). If she were less... cautious, she would've asked him about it by now, but alas, she's still a bit of a chicken sometimes. Sue her.

"Lucy, what are we doing?" Natsu flatly asks her. "Spying on Laxus", she whispers back and Natsu hums. "Understandable. Why?"

"Do you think anyone is interested in him?" she asks and wonders if the intricacies of romantic attraction even register in Natsu's head. His answer absolutely floors her. "Lucy, there's only two types of people who haven’t had a crush on Laxus once in their live and those are the ones that aren't into men. Or are too cowardly to admit it. Luckily for me, I'm neither of those."

"You had a crush on Laxus?" He rolls his eyes. "Keep up with the plan Luigi, of course, just like ninety percent of the guild. You've ever thought he's hot?" She admits: "Yeah, like once or twice."

"See Lucy, now you're getting what bi/pan solidarity is."

"Bonding over how hot Laxus is?"

"You might as well start calling it bi/pan/gay solidarity then", a new, terribly amused voice says above them and Lucy lets out an "Eep!" and hits her head against the table. Crawling from underneath it, she and Natsu come face to face with Freed Justine, who's looking both too entertained and smug.

Refusing to let go of her pastime, Lucy puts her hands on her hips and faces the captain. "What's Laxus' dating life like?" she demands to know and Freed shrugs. "I wouldn't know, he doesn't have one."

"Oh", she pouts and he chuckles. "If that's all, I'm gonna join the subject of your espionage." Right before he leaves, he looks over his shoulder and adds : "Since his dating life is nonexistent, you should ask him about his marriage."

5. Wendy

The flyer picturing the fair looks positively radiant and Wendy can nearly smell the candy apples and other sugared goods. It's a shame she won't be able to go though, because her team will be going on a mission and it's too far and dangerous for her to travel alone. A shadow alerts her of someone standing behind her and when she whirls around, she comes face to face (well more like face to chest) with Freed.

He too is staring at the poster and shyly she says. "It looks fun, doesn't it? If I were able to go, I'd take someone dear with me." Her voice must've sound a tad bit too longing, because he glances in her direction and asks : "Are you not able to go?" She shakes her head. "No, my team will be away and it's too far to go without adult supervision."

"I could go with you, if you do not mind my company, that is. Ah, I'll be taking someone dear to me along too, so you could invite Chelia if you wanted too." More often than not, she curses her face for revealing exactly what she's thinking, but right now, Wendy is over the moon. "Thank you mister Freed!" she yells before giving him a hug and speeding off. She's gonna have a blast with Chelia!

"Seems like our babysitters are tired", Chelia grins before shrugging. "Eh, at least we got candy out of it." As the two of them share their candy, Wendy looks at the scene in front of them. With an amount of skill that she certainly hadn't expected, Laxus is pinning Freed's hair up with a hairpin that he'd won a little while earlier. The light reflects off the pin and the rings adorning both men's fingers.

"Hey Wendy", Chelia says, laying her head on Wendy's shoulder. "When we're old like those two, let's be like that." Putting her hand on top of Chelia's and weaving their fingers together, Wendy nods sleepily. "Let's do that."

"Hey Gramps, you mind if we throw a guild party?" Well, aren't those words he thought he'd never hear out of his grandson's mouth. "You do whatever you want brat, as long as you can pay for it. What's the occassion?"

"Oh I got married."

"You what?"

(They get to hold the party and yes, Makarov cries over his grandsons. Both of them.)
