#they've gone curiously hard in on it #with the whole text flipping and the clock thing on my dash and the site logo #do they know there are ppl here who dont watch it?? #i mean i kinda get it. like why they'd bother to advertise here. tumblr's been the origin point for a not insignificant amount of trends #and fandoms and suchlike. i suppose someone was eventually going to try and create that kind of enthusiasm artificially to turn a profit #although given what tag skimming i've been doing i kinda hope it bites netflix in the ass #like they've allegedly been queerbaiting w/ the show #which is hilarious bcs on the one hand i am in no way surprised that it did. but also. it's 2022. #there are more shows/pieces of media these days that dont stoop to baiting their audiences. #which means that (hopefully) ppl are becoming fed up with this flavor of nonsense #which leads to fewer ppl recommending the show. which leads to less ppl signing up for netflix (or cancelling subs or just doing piracy) #which leads them to have wasted their money trying to get ppl on board w/ a show. #only to have it backfire bcs they didn't make it homo enough for the denizens of the site. while pretending they had. #idk i just like seeing corporations lose <3 #it's funny to me #wow this turned into a whole essay lmfao #enjoy i guess

I'm a budding author, so I have an agent that I've hired to beta read my stuff, edit, give feedback etc. right?

TBH he was kinda rude at first, he was a stickler about my punctuation and grammar. He even made comments that were borderline unprofessional about my AU, calling it frivolous essentially. So, I bit my tongue for as long as I could, because I didn't want to mess up this opportunity because finding agents and going through the editing process is HARD, y'all.

Well, one day after I got a haircut I noticed he was a little bit softer towards me which threw me off. Idk if it was the haircut but it definitely was the first time I noticed a change in his attitude and so I kind of made a little joke and he laughed. It got me asking about a show we both like to watch and no joke, we sat there on zoom for like an hour and a half just chatting. We didn't even get to discussing the draft at all so I had to end it there bc I had another meeting scheduled. Not going to lie, it felt a little weird & just couldn't get my mind off of it after that.

Well, it turned into smiles, flirty comments here and there. Then one day he just outright asked me if I wanted to get dinner...I knew it was a horrible idea but at this point I had a crush on him so I said yes anyway. He lives far away and flew out here for business but he extended his trip by an extra day JUST to see me. Literally nobody has ever done that for me...

Chat, I don't know what to do....I'm being so selfish but he makes me feel so happy. He buys me flowers and gets me coffee & food while I'm working. Like this man lives in a different time zone from me but he ORDERS DOOR DASH AND UBER EATS and has it delivered to my house. 😩

He listens & doesn't judge me for any of the stupid things I like or hate the fact that I get on Tumblr and write nasty fanfics about a cartoon man.

We can't tell other people about our relationship bc he could lose his job if it's found out he's seeing one of his clients. I'm literally risking everything ffs!!! I know it's wrong, but I can't help it...

I’ve seen a couple posts of yours pop up on my dash, and (absolutely no hate here) I’m getting the impression that you don’t really like Grace? Now, I am incredibly new to the Hatchetfield community (as in, I watched early Starkid, fell out of it because Darren Criss left, and am just now returning), so I’m not sure what all has happened in all multiverses.

With characters like Grace, maybe I tend to project a little bit of my old high school self onto them, because I used to exude an air of moral superiority since I was vocally and unapologetically Protestant in a classical Catholic school. I find ultra-religious characters interesting to play around with, especially in predominantly queer spaces like Starkid, since I was that ultra-religious kid (who is now vocally and unapologetically queer).

So, I guess what I mean to ask is: What is your opinion of Grace, and why? You seem to know a lot about this universe, so I’m hoping to grasp at the general attitude of this fandom towards women before I jump back in.

I actually had a whole thing typed up about why I don't like Grace and people's perception of her, but I suppose I'll just post it separately. Maybe I'll link back to this idk. Good base for a post I was already planning on making.

So here's the thing. I don't hate Grace because she's a woman, I hate Grace because she's a fucking psychotic bigot who people need to stop perceiving as something she's not.

I've gone on a whole rant already specifically about this. But there are spoilers in it, so if you haven't seen NPMD bc you're waiting to get a grasp on the vibe of the fandom, you shouldn't read it. Or you should at least watch NPMD first.

So, just a rundown. I hate Grace because she is hyper-religious and I have religious trauma. I hate that people don't see her religion as a core part of her identity, making her fundamentally for and against some things, but still joke about her being christian.

And, before someone get's at me about how I still like Mark. I really didn't, but Curt Mega posted this, which made him a much more complex character in my eyes. I'm sure he was joking, but Mark being gay and having a double life that causes him guilt in both directions is forever embedded in my head.

And sure, Grace is a complex character, she really is. But parts of the problem are 1, people don't pay much attention to her actual complexities, and 2, she's seriously psychotic. And that's not me being like 'women be crazy,' that's me watching the show and thinking... 'oh my god, she's fucking insane' at the end of act one, and at the end of Virginity Camp.

But Grace is really the only girl character in Hatchetfield that I dislike, especially so passionately. I like Emma and Steph and Becky, although Linda I'm not really a fan of actually. But y'know, another "she's a fundamentally bad person" thing there. I even like Ruth, who I initially didn't (I'm asexual and her whole thing made me really uncomfy watching it). Jeri's a weird case, but mainly because both her and Jerry are fucking stupid. Like... just get married! Just get married, you two have liked each other for over a decade, just get married!

So, if you want my attitude on women, there it is. I like good characters and I dislike bad characters. I dislike characters who are against things that I stand for, like being queer, and... idk, not starting cults.

hello. i really enjoy your content, but i have to say i'm kinda disappointed on you still being a ts fan. this woman knows what disney does and yet she still gave them the rights, meaning she either doesn't care or actively supports the genocide. or maybe she decided to turn her morals off because money is more important. not to mention how she consistently associates herself with questionable people and how a person literally died in one of her shows on brazil and she gave zero fucks. this woman is not a good person and there are no excuses to being her fan anymore.

no, i fully understand what you're saying and where you're coming from. over the last like. idk year and a half? ive been pretty vocal about my disappointment, distaste, and disagreement with a multitude of the choices she's made lately. i 100% agree that her silence on the subject of palestinian genocide (as well as many other human rights/social causes) is at best a sign of apathy and at worst a sign of support. especially when miss americana was all about her wanting to be more outspoken and be an activist. that all feels so incredibly performative now -- and has for a while. a lot of things that she's said and done since midnights, which is when i became more active in the tumblr swiftie community, have left a bad taste in my mouth for her as a person.

like i said, i genuinely agree with what you're saying. the only thing i take issue with is that she didn't care that a fan died at her show. she donated money to the fan's family and took time to meet them. regardless of my many issues with her, i do think she can be an empathetic person and i don't think that she just straight up didn't care that someone died before her show. it's one of those things (of which there are many) where we'll never know her true thoughts bc she doesn't talk about things. which is frustrating in itself.

now that's not the point of your message, so feel free to write that off as a digression. i strongly disagree with her making yet another version of the eras tour movie and hosting it on disney+. I'm personally boycotting disney+ and have been for a while. I don't even intend on watching the new version and like the vast majority of everything I gif, that shit is pirated -- that's how I watched the original release of the movie. obviously my consumption/boycotting is just one person compared to blondie, who has influence over millions, who could make real change if she spoke out against genocide.

at this point, im not supporting her financially either apart from listening to her music. which i love. im sorry, but I do. if I didn't, we wouldn't be having this conversation. i think her constant churning out different exclusive versions of the same albums are a transparent money grab and maybe an effort to set more records as far as sales or streams or however that all works. and I'm not just saying that bc I literally couldn't even afford to buy a digital copy of an album right now.

so yeah. I appreciate that you enjoy my content and thank you for saying so, but if you need to unfollow or block, i understand. I've definitely toned down/completely stopped sharing posts about her as a person bc I'd much rather focus on just the music. and maybe that makes me a bad person for continuing to listen to and enjoy her music. im not saying i necessarily feel good about it, but i think the fact of the matter is that a lot of the celebrities, actors, musicians, etc. we like or whose content we enjoy hold views we disagree with and have different values or priorities. nuance exists. right now, im someone who is vocal about the palestinian genocide and I try to share resources/posts about it when they come across my dash and im also someone who is a fan of Taylor's music.

Idk, I hope what I'm saying makes sense at least on some level. That fandom has been a mess this week, I ended up having to protect my peace on my dash. The fandom has felt at war with itself recently. Everybody expects all situations to be black and white, for all of us to agree on the same things.

Personally, the show is comfort for me and seeing everybody fight about how their interpretation is the only right interpretation and if you dare to disagree or add an opinion, 'you're horrible or a problem!' It makes me less excited week-to-week 🥺

idk, i must be doing something right (avoiding my dash almost entirely) bc i truly have almost no clue what's been happening BUT there are a few people that i do follow that have been like really heavy handed on the whole "buck better apologize RIGHT NOW" argument even though the ep hasn't aired yet and like. he will? this is buck we're talking about lol bUT ANYWAY. yeah. i totally get it.

i don't wanna say that how the fandom is now is how it was before, we've had lots of phases in this fandom where it used to be so toxic it makes this kinda look like nothing (from what i've vaguely seen of now) but pretty much from what i can tell you about fandom specifically is that there's always going to be someone bitching about something that didn't go exactly how they wanted and now they are stomping their feet like children and the 911 fandom isn't an exception to that lmao

but anyway though i'm sorry that this drama has made you less excited to see the eps.. i've had issues with that in the past and that's where i just exclusively will look at certain people's blogs that i follow, avoid my dash and just watch the show and enjoy it in a small peaceful space

(also, i wanted to say congrats for finishing come back to me and forgive everything!! my apologies as i have not read it yet, but i know how challenging it can be to finish a longer work like that, so congrats on accomplishing what you did and for making something you're proud of :] 💜💜💜)

so my expectations for s5 are on the floor because sherlock hurt me too much back in the early-2010s so now i live life with no expectations for tv. but!! as far as silly goofy things i would love to see:

Argyle being a chekhov's gun of plot relevance like he was in vol2 getting them into the pizza shop. idk how, but i want him to have vital info that helps them avert the apocalypse. i'm thinking maybe since he's an outsider and isn't is as mired in all the UD stuff as everyone else that maybe he has some clarity about the situation that comes with distance. like have him point out something super obvious and everybody be like "well why didn't WE think of that"

i also think some pedantic bickering among the main group is warranted. just have them argue over something so minute and so unnecessary and get lost in the details of it because it's the damn apocalypse and of course they're looking for a distraction

i have one post-s4 fic where they go to a grocery store for a supply run and Mike slips on a rotten banana,,,not to reveal my love of slapstick humor on main but like. i do think something like that happening to any of the main characters would be funny, full offense to them (fic can be found here!)

and finally, there is an alternate universe that lives in my head where stranger things is a monster-of-the-week, 22-episodes-per-season styled show that has gimmick episodes, and if i were able to manifest at least one gimmick episode for s5 (that will never happen bc of the show's format but pls let me dream), i would want them to have a bottle episode/memory loss episode like Tabula Rasa from Buffy the Vampire Slayer!! just something where all the older and younger teens are stuck in Mike's basement, something happens, and all of them wake up with no recollection of who they are and have to piece together what they can based on the information they have contained on their persons and in the environment around them. i wanna write this fic so so bad and have for MONTHS now but just haven't gotten around to it,,,but tbh i don't care if it would be a total tonal disconnect from the rest of the season. i would 100% watch an hour long break from the main plot just to watch all the main characters suffer temporary amnesia and have to figure out who they are. plus it'd be funny just to see what people come up with, like...do Steve and Nancy wake up next to each other and assume they're a couple?? with Will's drawings up in the basement, do people assume it's Will's house? what happens when they find a family photo and realize Nancy and Mike are siblings and this is their house? things like that would be so so fun!!

Having a smile on your face hurts all the time. Physically and emotionally; it's draining Cater's happiness as we speak. Desperately trying to keep up that appearance of "everything is okay if we smile!" is exhausting, especially in moments like these. Riddle, screaming his head off at an impassively looking Ace. Riddle, whose voice rings all over Heartlsbayul's grand castle, desperately tries not to go back to his old ways and immediately beheads the foolish Ace of Cards.

It was literally the tenth rule of the Queen of Hearts 'Do not go on beyond the late night hours of 10:00 on a weekday., and Ace decides to not only rope himself but poor Deuce and his other two classmates. They have long been dismissed with a punishment of writing a 200-word apology essay, but Ace refuses to accept the rules.

"What's the point of doing it?" Ace yawns dismissively. "It's just gaming, it ain't gonna do anything harmful to me."

From the look on Riddle's face, it looks like he just wants to execute Ace. Cater and Trey exchange a tired glance and Riddle caught it. He sighs, pinching his nose, before dismissing the two. Cater dashes out of there; his smile slips from his face the moment he is out of sight. He feels so tired. He bangs his room door open, igniting you to wake from your slumber.

He mutters an apology before diving into your hands, clenching onto you and tangling his legs with yours, and burying his head in the crook of your collarbone. Tonight, he just wants you to hold him until he can recharge for yet another day.

A tiny smile climbs onto his lips when he feels you singing under your breath and the repetitive stroking of his hair immediately lures him into slumber. The last thing he feels is your gentle kiss on his forehead and a soft mutter of "Don't worry, I got you."

𝐑𝐔𝐆𝐆𝐈𝐄 𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐇𝐈

Running errands is exhausting. Leona seems to have no idea how much Ruggie is struggling to balance his school work, extra jobs on the side, running after Leona- everything just piles up like a house of cards. And houses of cards are always destined to fall...today seems like that day.

Ruggie pants as he leans against a tree in the Courtyard. His arms are heavy with bags from Sam's Mystery Shop and sweat beads on his forehead. His hair uncomfortably sticks to his forehead; some strands are sticking into his eyes.

He is used to this, of course. The slums offered no mercy to those who didn't work 'til their bones old and frail. He is used to the hot summer day beating down on him until his back is red from the sun's glare, but why does today seem so tiring?

You were just passing by; Grim had already ditched you to go pranking with Ace and Deuce. You wanted no part in that (they were truly the idiot trio) and therefore decided to take a peaceful walk around Night Raven College before finally bumping into Ruggie.

His groceries were scattered all over the place and Ruggie hissed out angrily. For Seven's sake- he spent a whole hour in the Mystery Shop to get those rare groceries; he can't even go back for them because he bought them all. Ruggie snapped his head up, an angry glint in his eyes before it subsided slightly before noticing it was you.

"Oh," Ruggie muttered before picking up whatever salvageable groceries he could see. "Hello."

You frowned at his detached tone. Upon looking closer, Ruggie appeared extremely exhausted. His words seemed to slur together and his eyelids were slowly blinking as if the action was comparable to holding up the world. His hair was strangely more ruffled than usual and eyebags were visible under his ash grey eyes.

"Ruggie, is Leona running you ragged again?"

Ruggie flinched at the suddenness of the question before registering it and shaking his head. You frowned before staring at the groceries. "My love, these are all expensive meat products. Seven knows that you never touch nor eat this."

He was caught red-handed. Ruggie gave a heavy sigh before collapsing onto you. Yelping, you caught him. The beastman snickered slowly before he patted your head.

"If you would, would you mind telling Leona-san to stop? I need....sleep."

With that, Ruggie slept, snoring loudly. You laughed before cradling him bridal-style; he remained peacefully in his wonderful slumber, unknowing the rage that was boiling within you.

"Leona Kingscholar," You muttered as you began your journey back to Ramshackle. "You'll pay for doing this to my beloved."

Somewhere in Savanaclaw, Leona sneezed.

"Oh Jamil!!"

The moment Jamil heard that accused voice, he fled. He's had enough of disturbances today and judging from Kalim's tone, for the sake of his sanity, he dashed away until he accidentally collided into you.

"Jamil!" You glomped him with a giant grin. Just your scent- it brought warmness into Jamil's rigid body, giving him comfort. The aching pain in his muscles immediately faded away; he practically slumped against you and you chuckled.

"Hard day today?"

Jamil nodded, hands tightened around your hips. You simply pat his head and his hair ornaments jingle delicately.

Kalim came bounding right around the corner, still dressed in his lab coats and was whipping his head around. His ruby eyes searched the corridors until they landed on you and Jamil cuddling together. He immediately dashed towards you, crying out Jamil's name like it was a prayer.

"Please." You heard Jamil half-sob out. "I'm too tired to deal with this!"

Before Kalim could pull your jewel away from you, your hand shot outwards, stopping the excitable white-haired boy in his tracks.

"Kalim," You gave him an easy-going smile. However, your hold on Jamil tightened, as if you were unwilling to give him up. Jamil just buried himself in your scent, giving a silent apology to Kalim in his head. "Unfortunately, Jamil has business with me so we need to leave."

Kalim gasped and looked at Jamil with wide eyes. "Sorry Jamil! I totally didn't know this! Why didn't you tell me? I'll get going then!" And on that note, he ran away, his lab coat fluttering behind him. Jamil heaved out a heavy sigh before giving you a tired grin.

"Business?"

You nodded seriously before steering him away. "Of course! You have been neglecting me for quite some time; it is only natural for you to repay those lost hours!"

Jamil only chuckled before following you.

Silver realizes that after a month of you constantly pampering him and caring for him that you're like an older brother, but whenever he thinks that, his mind immediately screams the opposite.

He's confused about how to feel. Butterflies erupt in his stomach whenever he meets your enchanting eyes and sun-blinding grin. But the way your gentle touch soothes him to sleep and pressing soft open-mouthed kisses on his forehead, you care for him so much- Silver's torn.

He comes to you, the question in his head and dragging his feet. He's slightly nervous, I mean, who wouldn't? One wrong thing and he might accidentally ruin his relationship with you. And never in a million years would he willingly do that.

Silver finds you in the library, reading peacefully. Soft taps that grow louder made you look up from your book, a questioning gaze in your eyes until they soften upon seeing your silver-haired beloved. You gently placed the book aside, opening your arms and Silver welcomely dived in. His eyelids fluttered shut and the warmness of your body was lulling him to sleep before his mind thankfully reminded him why he was here in the first place.

You were just about to continue reading when Silver's voice interrupted you.

"Y/N? I'm confused..."

You hummed, your attention on him once more. You combed your fingers through his hair and Silver mustered up the courage to continue.

"You sometimes treat me like a lover...but other times it feels like you're the older brother," Silver rambled. "Sometimes you cook for me, you wake me up for classes, you plan the dates, I-I just don't know anymore."

Silver squeezed his eyes tight for your reaction - but he certainly did not expect a laugh. You turned him around so he was straddling your waist, his hands on your waist and his eyes meeting yours. Yours were full of understanding as you pressed a kiss, punctuating each other.

"My love, what I am doing is called taking the dominate position," a kiss to the cheek. "So sometimes I'll take the lead, I'll be the one caring for you most of the time, you understand?"

Silver nodded. So this is what humans do when they court? His father forgot to mention this. Well, it doesn't matter now. His hearts feel lightened by your answer and his mind can easily rest.

A soft thump! against your chest made you realize that your beloved has fallen asleep once more. You laughed quietly to yourself before picking up your novel and continuing to read where you had left off; your fingers subconsciously played with his hair and a gentle smile could be seen on his lips as Silver slept.

good morning, kaz! i'm so sorry i missed this last night, i was busy singing my lungs out very poorly at karaoke, ahaha.

that cocktail sounds fantastic, i will take two, pls & thank you. whiskey (and scotch whisky particularly) is my preferred liquor most of the time, though gin does edge ahead a little bit in the summer when i enjoy a nice fizz with fresh fruit. that cocktail sounds perfectly up my alley! <3

tv shows:

ted lasso. i was very late to this one, but just binged all three seasons and really enjoyed it. on apple.

BEEF. it's sooooooo goood and bizarre and wonderful in the worst (best) ways. on netflix.

trial & error. was an nbc comedy over too soon. on peacock, i think.

the river. likewise cancelled early, but it's horror on the amazon and i loved it a lot. idk where to find this one, but i'm sure it's streaming someplace as all things are these days.

not dead yet. which finished its first season recently is an easy watch & pretty funny. the MC is very relatable in an, "i am a mess" sort of way alsjdf;adfs. i think this is nbc, but i watched it on hulu.

movies:

everything everywhere all at once. i can't wait to watch this again. it was my first time in a non-socially distanced movie theatre post-quarantine and it was such a joy to hold my spouse's hand while i laughed my ass off and cried and yelled. love this fucking thing (as does everyone else, as they should).

you won't be alone. this is horror. body horror. it's pretty messy in parts but so so sooooooo soooooooooooooo good. it's also primarily in macedonian with subtitles and i'm not sure how hard it would be to track down.

the impostors. with stanley tucci and oliver platt is a comedy from my youth that i still think is one of the best of all time.

a goofy movie. idk, y'all, i just showed this to my spouse because it was referenced in an episode of atlanta (another great fucking tv show) and it's still just so funny and heartwarming and the music they made for powerline is so good.

spiderman: across the spider-verse. haven't even seen this yet but my god i want to so badly and i just know it's gonna be killer because the first one blew my mind.

anime (i'm probably not gonna come up with much here you haven't already seen or know about tbh but let's see):

blue period. especially as an artist, i think you might enjoy this one. i binged it in like a day and a half and thoroughly enjoyed it all very much. on netflix.

maid-sama! i actually enjoyed watching this anime so much that i then went back and read the whole manga because i needed to know how it ended. it was cute and expected and exactly the sort of low-stakes shojo i needed at the time.

ghost hunt!.i fucking love this little horror anime and am so disappointed it didn't get to go longer. there is a manga and also a light novel that are very worthwhile if you ever have the time.

i think three is all you're gonna get outta me for this category, but i hope something there sparks your fancy! thanks so much! <3

Chapter 1 starts slow so I apologize. I promise it gets better I just felt the need to include chapter 1 for background and etc- ALSO DON'T QUESTION SOME OF MY LOGIC.. BC IDK EITHER 😔 (I'm an amateur and this is my first fanfic so constructive criticism is welcome :D <3 )

(Inside Gammy's house. 1 pm)

Creed had been sitting on the couch, reading over his college application when Cairo had walked into the trailer with a goofy grin plastered on his face. Cairo then shoved a paper into Creed's face, obstructing his view of his application. It was a slightly crumpled poster that was covered in vibrant colors and bold letters announcing that Johnny Cage would be doing a fan meet in Los Angeles, California, on December 18th from 3 to 5pm.

Creed's face immediately lit up with excitement as Cairo took the paper back. Cairo nodded his head to his life long best friend, signaling that they'd be attending. They'd both been fans of the actor for nearly a year now. They'd watched nearly all his movies and shows, even ones he was barely in.

"Holy shit!" Creed exclaimed with a smile, throwing his computer to the side. He then sat up and put his hands in the air. Creed was smiling so hard that Cairo was convinced his face hurt.

"Yeah, man! I got us bus passes! If we leave today we can get there the day of." Cairo explained, his voice full of delight. He had planned this whole thing out once he saw this poster at work. One of his coworkers had been bragging about their cousin working for a company that hosted fan meets for celebrities in Cali. Cairo knew then and there that this was something he and Creed needed to attend.

Creed didn't need to be told twice, he immediately started packing. The 19-year-old sprinted towards the hallway closet and jerked his suitcase out. Cairo decided to stay back and make them some food for the road.

Creed bolted down the hallway and towards his grandmother's room with his bag in tow. He knew for a fact she'd be doing laundry while watching Judge Judy right about now. He slung the door open and immediately started grabbing articles of clothing and then shoving them into his suitcase.

"Gammy! I'm going to see Johnny Cage!" Creed exclaimed as he attempted to cram as many clothes into his bag as humanly possible. He didn't even care about what he put in there, as long as he wasn't naked he'd be fine. Gammy, however, looked utterly clueless. She couldn't comprehend why her grandson/godson was so frantic.

As Gammy glanced up from the TV, her eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "Johnny Cage?" she asked, her voice full of curiosity.

Creed paused, his shirt halfway stuffed into his overflowing suitcase. "He's the martial artist-movie star guy that I like, you remember? He's doing a fan meet in Cali, and we're going to go see him!"

Gammy's expression softened as she watched her grandson's excitement. She definitely didn't understand the allure of Johnny Cage, but she understood that he was important to both Creed and Cairo.

"Well, remember that people ain't always as they seem... but have fun, baby." she said softly, a smile resting on her lips.

Creed smiled back at his grandmother's response and zipped up his suitcase before kissing her on the cheek as a goodbye. Creed then dashed to the kitchen where he knew Cairo was.

Cairo stood near the counter, wrapping sandwiches up in a paper towel. Assumably a snack for the long bus rides they would need to take. Cairo licked his fingertips clean of grape jelly and turned to his best friend.

"I got one PB, one J, and one PB&J." Cairo announced, now putting the sandwiches into his book bag. Creed nodded his head, now trying to shove his wallet and toothbrush into his pants pocket.

"I'm so fucking pumped, dude." Creed muttered as he kept hurriedly packing items into his cargo pants. He had so much filling his pockets that his pants started to sag horribly from the weight.

Cairo chuckled, watching Creed struggle with his overloaded pockets. "Jesus, you packed everything but the kitchen sink, dude." he teased, zipping up his backpack with ease. Creed grunted in reply, finally managing to squeeze everything into his pockets.

They grabbed their bags along with their skateboard, which they called Tony Hawk, and exited the trailer. They both walked down the trailer park driveway and towards the road. The boys began to skateboard down the road, Cairo being the one guiding their movements and pushing them while Creed held onto him. This had been their means of transportation since they had turned 12.

Once they got behind a pickup truck, Cairo grabbed the bumper. As they coasted, the cold wind blowing through their hair, Creed couldn't help but let out a loud 'woooh' of excitement. Cairo grinned, feeling the rush of adrenaline and excitement coursing through his veins. They zipped past empty fields that were once full of wheat and tobacco. Creed looked over at their shadows as they darted over the landscape.

Suddenly, the pickup truck slowed to a stop at a crossroad in town, leaving Cairo and Creed to navigate their way to the bus stop. Cairo glanced at Creed with a glint in his eye. "You ready for this?" he asked, despite already knowing the answer.

Creed flashed a grin, his eyes lighting up. "Totally, dude." he replied instantly, his voice full of confidence. It was something they'd done thousands of times, but that didn't make it any less exhilarating.

Cairo then pushed off the bumper and swerved into the road, executing a few twists and turns as they weaved between the oncoming traffic. The drivers honked their horns in shock and quickly hit the brakes. The boys seemed to ignore it though, their focus was on getting to the bus stop and eventually, Johnny Cage's fan meet.

As they emerged from the small intersection without injury, their laughter echoed through the air. Honks and swears filled the distance, the drivers were beyond pissed at the two 19-year-olds. It wasn't uncommon for them to do this which caused them to be seen as nuisances in their small town.

They eventually arrived at the bus stop and slowly came to a halt. Cairo picked up their shared skateboard and carried it to the seats. It took 30 minutes for a bus to finally pull up.

The driver opened the door then looked the two boys up and down. His eyes focused on their clothes and faces. They skimmed over Creed's camo shirt, ripped-up black cargos, and dirty converses then his eyes slowly drifted over to Cairo. He squinted at Cairo's 'no dolphins' shirt before scoffing at how Cairo's pants lightly sagged to show his bright pink and yellow boxers.

The boys shared a look of confusion, but they shrugged at the man's stare. They grabbed their bags and got on the bus, mentally preparing themselves for the long journey ahead of them.

Things I Would Have Done Differently If I Were Sonia

1- Been named "Zelda" instead. (nin10do you COWARDS are you really scared to have two different characters separated by untold generations named zelda NOW??? NOW YOU THINK THATS CRINGE???? fool. You did that in your first ever sequel and it was amazing. now you look scared and stupid. kill the part of you that cringes instead. In my head her name is Zelda and i dont care.)

2- not married that fake "Rauru". Like. OG Rauru is a cool fat ancient sage with an animalsona who protects the nukes away from everyone else and when you accidentally mess it up he hides and keeps you safe until you can go fix it. This new one is some imperialist that everyone is sooo obsessed with because his waist is snatched now. Or maybe i'll be more generous and say it's because they're furries that's more fair. But still like. Please there are others to simp over. he was all "oh im the first king of hyrule' and i was like 'oh.... no you're not'

(its actually ok that we have um. yet another first king of hyrule. Because we can have 3 first kings of hyrule, since we have 3 iterations of ganondorf now too. but we should still have 3 first zeldas. and we only have 2. because they messed up sonia. come on it would have been all NICE AND CLEAN AND BALANCED if there were 3 first kings, 3 first zelda, and 3 ganondorfs. This is the series about 3!!!!! but.... well perhaps next game we can have a third first zelda. perhaps i can be patient.)

(also love that we have a 3rd ganondorf. do you know how often i had to explain he does in fact reincarnate and that fsa ganondorf is a different one from oot? but now everyone knows theres more than one but less than the number of links even if they dont know exactly how many ganondorfs there are so. close enough! now ill just pretend he had a 3rd seperate origin story as well instead of 2 origins shared between 3 come on let the guy have something.)

This is unrelated but I think the Zonai are the evolutionary link between Ooca and the botw!Rito (since they did not evolved from the zora like ww!Rito). They look kinda dinosaur-y to me. i guess they're supposed to look kinda goat-y too? and rabbit-y???? i dunno i think they're generally fun. And also might be the results of unethical sheikah experimentation yeah i don't forget the temple of shadow............

OH and im very glad (our) Link wasn't the hero from the tapestry with Zonia. theres apparently some other Zonai hero with red hair who's briefly in it? i wish that Zonai was also named Link and got more to show but i was really not a fan of time-looping this poor link too, he had enough of that with the 100 year nap. if i can't have a gerudo link, at least we have a zonai hero maybe

but also in sooooo many fics i reserve the right to completely ignore this game. if it doesn't fit where i planned it didn't happen. this is like hyrule warriors to me. in another timeline.

LOVE all the yiga stuff and getting to fight with friends now. its what link deserves and his friends deserve. LOVE LOVE that Zelda and Link are so codependent there's not a word in the hylian language for them. i am a qpr truther for this particular zelink but i think that if these two were offered a way to fuse into a single being they would at least STRONGLY consider it. unhinged. love them.

The way this world is even more open than botw is such a feat, the open engineering is just fabulous. I hope to see a new drone every week. Torturing the koroks is just. its horrible but i laugh every time .kjhghjkkjhjk whyyyyy these poor little tree dudes (*chanting 'crucify this one too' in my head*)

the way this game tried to both continue the botw 'honoring past games' and did a new 'gaslight you about the other games never happening' is a wild balance. Like, TWINROVA SHOWED UP??? in what i think is a very subtle detail in a memory??? maybe there's more of them in the game but it seems to be the same level as like 'hero of the winds' mentioned plus some salt around hyrule. excellent love that. but i also just saw a post gushing about how great it was that this game made this link theeeee most important specialist hero eeeever and the master sword was only ever for him and um. i just hope that isn't true. i think this game should add and not take away.

but hey twinrova showed up and there was that cool goth gerudo too!! i stan her.

oh and redeads in gerudo town or whatever it was? AMAZING. gerudo town was all spared from the calamity in the first game with no guardians making past the desert so having the town taken over and terrifying with the upheaval is just a good show of stakes stepping up.

OH!!!! and my number one favorite thing is that Link can make a drink that he was too young to order in botw. funniest possible thing that dude can do.

this is a tough one since i'm all in favor of shipping non-canon characters and esp with same-sex relationships, this discussion is not so simple bc you have to consider all the queerbaiting that's still happening, but since with some content I get way more obsessed with platonic relationships than the romantic ones only to see them portrayed as romantic in fanworks,,,, I wish we would give platonic relationships the credit they deserve like sometimes your favorite person in the world isn't (only) your romantic partner but that doesn't mean there have to be sexual or romantic undertones

Jang Han-seo (Vincenzo) - at first you think he's just a corrupt, spoilt brat but there's actually so much more to discover as the show progresses and it turns out that he's actually very resilient, smart in his own way, and absolutely starved for any sort of affection or acknowledgement. he's a victim, he's a criminal, he's a bitch (affectionate) and on top of all, a survivor

Jang Man-wol (Hotel del Luna) - because she is everything, from playful to powerful to vengeful to vulnerable, she contains multitudes and she is one of those female characters who are just so unapologetically selfish and obnoxious at times, you just have to love her, plus she has Style😎 truly one of the Characters Of All Time and maybe my fav ever kdrama character (next to Han-seo)

Parker (Leverage) - i think she's one of the characters I loved from the start, she's just crazy and I love that in a character<3
