Welcome to the Brackets of Fear!

Yes, it's time for another tumblr poll about TMA Fear Avatars -- with a twist. There will be no characters from The Magnus Archives. Instead, I ask that you submit your favorite characters from other media who you think would best serve as a manifestation of a Fear's power.

Rules for all polls

1. No real people.

2. No TMA characters, not even ones who serve Fears other than the one the bracket is for. We're going for a crossover here.

3. Feel free to submit as many characters as you’d like, but please do not submit the same one more than once.

4. Propaganda is allowed. However, please be sure to focus on the characters and NOT the source material, actors, authors, or fans. Propaganda violating this rule will not be posted.

FAQ

Q: "I think this character fits another entity better, can I submit them for that tournament when it comes up?"

A: If they went out in the first two rounds, they can be resubmitted. If they went out in round three, they can be resubmitted, but will likely take a penalty during consideration of the tournament's construction. Characters making it to the semifinal round or beyond will not be considered in future polls.

Q: "I think this character fits this entity's aesthetics, but I'm not sure how well they fit their meaning/I'm having trouble expressing why I think this character deserves to be in the tournament."

A: Check the relevant Entity's wiki page here and consider drawing parallels to events or avatars in the show itself.

Q: "Are submissions chosen based on how many times they were submitted?"

A: That's one factor. I also look at how well their description fits the actual entity and what I personally think would make for an interesting match-up.

These are getting kinda old ngl but whatever

Howdy! You can call me Bee if you like, i use they/it pronouns and I also run @bread-n-roses. I've seen a bunch of these poll accounts around (you probably have too) and there's not enough it/its representation so I thought it would be cool to make a competition for characters with it/its swag!

This was inspired by many different accounts, but notable among them are @autismswagsummit @besttship @bestbutchbracket @thecompetitionshowdowntournament @nonbiney-swag-competition and of course, the progenitor of all of these, the one and only @sexymanotd.

Rules

The characters don't actually have to have it/its pronouns, it can be just vibes or headcanon if you like! Though I would love to see some canon it/its characters :D

No people from real life (unless it's REALLY funny like. Joe Biden idk)

No characters from mob psycho 100 or the owl house (and no sans). I ABSOLUTELY DON'T have anything against these but they have a tendency to completely dominate polls so for the sake of giving other media a fair shot I will be excluding these characters.

If I feel uncomfortable with a character being in the bracket I simply will not put them in, I'm making the poll and I have the final word on how it's run.

The bracket

There's probably going to be 16 slots, or maybe 32 if this somehow gets enough attention and nominations. Each round will be 24 hours, with a break of about a day (maybe more maybe a little less depending on how I'm feeling) between each round.

I haven't made the nomination form yet, but that'll come soon.

ADHD Vs Autism duo bracket!

Inspired by the iconic meme format, as well as Tumblr polls such as @autismswagsummit @adhdswagcompetition @purpleandyellowshowdown @aroaceswagcompetition @2023himbotournament @pinknredbracket @plural-bracket @besttship @egg-poll @littleguyshowdown and the MANY other epic tournaments I've been following over the past couple months.

Rules:

Do not submit real people/actors/YouTubers/ect.

You can submit multiple duos, but no not submit the same duo multiple times.

Please use the form to submit one duo at a time (for the sake of organisation and my sanity). Duos submitted via the ask box will not be counted.

Duos can be anything (platonic, familial, romantic, enemies, just two people who feel very neutral about one another) but the two characters need to be from the same piece of media and preferably have interacted.

A character does not need to have ADHD/autism in 'canon' to submit them. That kind of rep is pretty sparse so this competition will mostly be based on fandom interpretation.

One duo per piece of media will be allowed into the competition (tentative rule for media with multiple iterations, in cases such as a duo from ROTTMNT and a duo from TMNT03).

Duos do not need to strictly have only ADHD or only autism. You could submit a AuDHD Vs Autism duo. Literally any duo that carries the energy of this image. It's a competition based on a funny meme format that will not be adhered to with 100% strictness.

By general tags I meant something broad, like "tournament poll", which yes would work perfectly for this, and using it on poll posts only should be fine

As for what shows up when you block a tag and someone reblogs it and puts it on your dash, if OP has tagged it with the blocked tag then it'll be hidden

Hiyo! I haven't seen this as a comp yet and i have adhd so here we are

RULES:

- Only submit the same character once

- Multiple submissions with different characters are okay!

- Character must be fictional, a significant character in their media, AND a protagonist (it's in the name!)

- If the character is not canonically bisexual, they can be headcanoned as such by a large proportion of their fandom (for example, Percy Jackson)

- Luz Noceda from TOH is automatically added because why not (she will also probably be submitted anyways so whatever)

- Matchups will be posted as soon as I have enough submissions and will include the most submitted (at least 64, possibly more) characters

- Please yell at me if i include a character that is not bi, i'm not going to be in all of the fandoms so i'll be basing this off google and tumblr searches

- Submissions close March 12 and polls will start going up shortly after!
