I think I already posted when I read Vigilantes last time but my memory blows so, whatever.
Why won't Horikoshi show us Aizawa's home? Or his dorm room in the Heights Alliance? We'd pay to see that right? This is fanservice too! Do it! Enough with the boobs and butts! Show us Aizawa's curtains and sconces ! We got a glimpse of his desk in his dorm room and..??
If you're thinking " this old bag is crazy for being this invested in a 2D action hero", why are you attending my personal rant session? why are you still reading ? Go do your homework.
Ahem. I guess Betten sensei went with the note that Aizawa has basically nothing in his apartment and just drew him living in some kind of a storage unit. Which is so perfect BUT SHOW US MORE!
I'm quite intrigued by the theory that Aizawa came from wealth. It might explain his zero tolerance policy for anything superfluous or irrational. Might explain why it's to such intense, character defining levels.
That happens sometimes to kids that grow up in the kind of wealthy homes where there's an excess of everything cluttered everywhere. Like imagine him having parents who were nice people but not the most sensible when it came to managing their finances. Possibly shopaholics, just filling every space in their home with who's-its and what's-its galore, for no purpose other than instant gratification or momentary diversion. He must have found it annoying at least or stifling at most. The faults of our parents do sometimes get magnified in the memories we collect. It must have been frustrating for a controlling spirit like his to grow up without any power over his space. So he fell as far from that tree as he could. It makes sense to me. Is it too much to ask for a confirmation on this ?
I hope we get to see more. I hope Vigilantes gets animated. ( Or just Aizawa's arc in it ) Or, a tour of all the teachers' dorms like they did with class 1A.
Until then, let's enjoy some Aizawa arms I guess.
