alright. it’s new years and i have a lot to say, so i think i’ll be breaking it into multiple posts by topic. i just really want to get this out, and whether or not it goes over well, i won’t be sure. but i can at least say i am steadfast in writing this and mean every part of it.

the rpc is extremely toxic. maybe it’s because i’ve chosen to look at this hobby as more than just roleplaying, or maybe it’s the way i’ve grown as a person in what i’m more aware of, or maybe it’s how the rpc’s entire focal point has shifted. it’s probably all three, seeing how things have changed as the years have gone by.

i won’t lie. i’ve made call outs, i’ve name dropped people, and i’ve sent asks. i will preface this by saying i’ve never sent anonymous hate, i’ve always tried to be at best transparent in all i do, and i never truly wanted to hurt anyone. but i still did, because y’know at the end of the day, i think that it’s impossible not to.

i don’t want anyone taking this the wrong way, as a way to justify and excuse negligent or toxic behaviors. i don’t want those i’ve called out in the past or future to point at this post and go “ well you went and said blah blah ” because no. i don’t regret doing what i did, but i do sincerely apologize for while i called out those on malicious behaviors, i was sarcastic, i was passive aggressive, i did so out of less and less a need to truly confront those with their behaviors and warn others and more of a way to feel like i “ fit in ” and that... rush you get, which i’m disgusted with myself for. which again, does not excuse those of your behaviors, but i do apologize that i didn’t do these things for the only, singularly, right reason.

i think it happens to everyone, though. we find someone doing something that’s “bad”, and it just... gets out of hand. and trust me, i’m not making this post to point fingers, because this is something i’ve seen in myself, and i want to make a change in at least with my own life. but it gets out of hand, we dig around and find more receipts to back us up, we go to others, and it just gets so bad that by the time the person is actually being properly talked to their entire experience on this website is tarnished and ruined.

i think people get vilified. and no, i’m not sympathizing with homophobes or pedophiles, and i’m sure as hell not excusing them, because what we need to understand is that real life ideals and those we write online are different, and i’m ashamed to admit i’ve flirted with that line of calling people out on what they write. ( this does not include pedophilia, for this is against the law to write, draw, and create in any kind of media. ) but i do feel ashamed because i’ve policed others in what they write when i turn around and am fine writing or discussing plot points that include similar topics. then there are those who are genuinely malicious, like those who are actively homophobic, racist, ect. but that’s not the same as writing these things, and if you do so it needs to be done in a healthy manner. you use disclaimers, you tag simply for blacklisting, and... that’s it. a lot of people need to realize their media intake is also their responsibility. blacklist what you don’t want to see, but know that in today’s day and age it’s... hard to not be constantly criticized for a lot of what you do, and it’s easy to fall into the pit of doing it to others.

and it’s difficult to remember when you’re so into drama that these are real people. i try to hold onto that: i try to be transparent, and i try to treat them like the human beings they are with but these flaws, because they have lives. they have friends. i know i’ve had toxic behaviors in the past, but i was ignorant and i was a child, and people grow and learn just i know i have.

it’s not a “mob mentality” or a “hivemind”. these are grossly inapt terms and more so used as a weak defense to make yourself sound better and almost akin to playing a victim card. but i have found myself jumping in when there’s blood in the water because i wanted to support my friends and not be seen questioning them, if in... the weirdest of ways? not because i’m intimidated, or i genuinely don’t think the behaviors they’re pointing at me ( or ones i find on my own ! ) are bad, but because... i want to be liked. and that disgusts me. but i don’t think i’m the only one.

i think... it’s like a bit of a bandwagon, at some point. and once you start, it’s a hard slope to climb out of. i’ve had two breakdowns because of online drama, and it’s ridiculous, and i wasn’t even the person in the center of the problem! it stresses me out to no degree, because i while my argument is just and valid, is my reason for doing so? and what right do i have to judge someone for writing what they want? ( again, i’m not saying it’s good or bad. but the extent i’ve seen this policing go? as long as they’re doing it healthily and it’s not against the law to write, as disgusting as it may be with things like rape or incest or murder - which is a topic often glossed over for it’s romanticization and normality in today’s world - there’s no other place to explore it, and it shouldn’t be demonized if it’s done right. people have that right. you can dislike them, you can unfollow and block, but... yeah. it’s your responsibility to monitor your media intake, not others to bend to your wants and wills. )

it’s stressful and... this just needs to be said, because i feel like no one else is going to. so in 2019? count me out for the petty drama, the policing, the stuff people have genuine right to. if it’s gross, it’s gross, but i won’t demonize someone for doing what’s within their legal rights so long as it doesn’t break the law or impede upon the rights of another being. i hope you guys understand because this? this just... needed to be said. thanks, and happy new years!

If I have to see one more thing about drama on my dashboard, I’m doing my self care and blocking half the fandom lmao. Why. Why create drama. It’s Tumblr rpc. Use the black list, block a blog if you don’t like what they write or them. This is the internet. No one but yourself can take responsibility for the content you consume. I am not responsible for the content people consume on my blog. Not if I tag everything correctly, not if I put warnings -

If someone actively chooses to ignore those warnings and read what I write, that is on them. I’ve done my part. I’ve tagged things, taken measures, ect. Don’t like it? Blacklist it, or unfollow / block. Dragging drama out onto the dash unnecessarily just ruins everyone’s day and at the end of the day, people need to realize there are human beings behind each blog that they’re sending hate to.

People have lost sense of their own humanity when they send hate, and it really shows.

Hey nonny! I have to admit i laughed a little at this just because I don’t consider myself popular, not by a long shot! This message is really kind of you and kind of amazing! So welcome to tumblr! So this is probably going to much longer than actually needed by anyone so i’m going to put this under the cut!

So first make tumblr easier for yourself and download xkit. Basically on desktop you can reblog from you dash, tag this automatically, and a bunch of other amazing things that make tumblr 6743 times easier. You can find xkit here.

Then okay so this probably sounds bad but having a good mobile and desktop theme goes a long way. desktop themes can seem super scary especially with no coding experience what so ever but i promise it is easy to change a theme and it makes a world of difference. here is a pretty quick and easy tutorial. Okay, so where do find codes? well there are tons of amazing theme makers on tumblr I reblog themes i like and you can see those here. and if you find a theme maker you can go to their page and see what else they made! then onto mobile theme. Like everything else there are some amazing icon and header makers on tumblr. For icons you can see mine here, also try @bb-8, @grumpybell, @alecsizzy, @harrydraco to name a few! For headers and icons you can go to @johnmurphe (brooke makes amazing icons and headers!!)

Also having a navi page can be really important if you are in a lot of fandoms or even just one! that brings me to TAGGING! tagging makes a world of difference. i probably over tag things but being so multi fandom and i’m just organized i have to tag. some people wont follow you unless you have a tag system. it makes it easier to blacklist things you dont want on your dash! tagging can be from just the show #the 100, to #tv: the 100, to character names full or not. anything you want basically.

so that’s most of the basic stuff it comes down to who you follow and what you post. tumblr is yours. you decide who you follow and unfollow and what you see on your dash. you dont like something someone is posting either backlist their tag or unfollow them. people tend to hate things just for something to do which sounds exhausting to me so curate your dash how you want it! There are tons of networks out there that are about one specific character or show so check them out! a network is a blog run by a group of people usually post edits and things and reblogs the newest edits! so an example is my network @bellamyblakepositivity (small self promo ;) )

Now i know some people thing you have to make gifsets, edits, headcanons, write fics, graphics, icons ect. to get followers. you really don’t. can it help? hell yeah haha making things and knowing how to tag edits helps even more! (this is for original edits) There are a million tutorials for learning how to make gifs and things i used tutorials to teach myself! you can dig through my tag for tuorials if you want to try that. but like i said you dont have to make things to enjoy yourself and make friends on this site! Please if you make things cite where you get ideas like quotes and things. and do NOT repost other peoples work. making things takes a lot of time and effort. i’m not saying you will but i am saying it is a sure fire way to get no where fast and its just rude. kindness goes a long way here even though it seems like it might not.

I was for the longest time the blog out in the dark that didnt make things and didn’t talk to anyone. I’m shit at starting conversations so i just dont do it. luckily people started conversations with me and i have made some absolutely amazing friends on this site. Like @flawlessbellamy I asked for a blog rate or tagged her in something and she sent a message to me and that was a year and 3 months ago and we talk daily! So if you see an edit you like, or a fic or something message the creator of it! i know as a creator i love love LOVE hearing from people (i read the tags on my posts and the give me life)! A lot of the time we are all just awkward beans who want to talk to each other but are too damn afraid. I see a blog on my dash and think i want to know that person but that and actually messaging are two different things but i implore you to try. some people like @broodybellamy are social butterflies even when they say they aren’t they totally are and just talk to people like its nothing. i am not like that. either is completely fine start small by tagging someone in something like a tag game, join blogrates, anything and go from there!

I made a lot of my friends by joining networks. so i said above what networks are a blog run by a group of people. there used to be a bunch of different types but those have since died off and now i see networks as almost a but more professional? like there is an admin then members and things are supposed to be updated and all that but if you join a network usually you just have to reblog some some stuff to keep the blog active and make something if you can and if you cant thats totally fine too!! networks usually have group chats either via blog or by group texting apps like whatsapp and discord. There you can get to know lots of people some you get along with and some not so much. from joning one network i met some of my closest friends and i am in about 15 different chats with different variations of the same people! networks are a huge help in getting to know people.

I honestly don’t try to do well i mean like i just reblog what i like and go from there i dont try to actively think about followers and things of course it’s inevitable for me to check my follower count and the notes on my edits but its more fun if you do you and see where it takes you. pick a theme you like, people an icon you like, the header. follow the people you want and unfollow others. tumblr is what you make of it!

if you want to know more about anything im happy to answer specific questions. i generally have a tutorial for just about everything and if i dont have it i can find it lmao! see i told you this would be longer than anyone needed or wanted!

DISCLAIMER I don't own Atsushi Nakajima at all - the anime, manga, movies ect all belong to Kafka Asagiri as well as the respective companies who produce/make the manga/anime. ~~~~~ This is a semi-private, semi-selective roleplay blog for Atsushi Nakajima from BSD. What this means is that I will selectively follow people and if we don't interact for a while I will soft block you; should you wish to interact with me afterwards you can follow once more. ~~~~~ Writing Lenght I'm a paragraph roleplayer as I do love to put some information into the scenery, my characters thoughts and feelings as well as what they're doing. Multi-Paragraph and Novella replies I will do slowly as I believe that for those sort of replies, you need to take your time and consider everything. The only time I will accept a one-liner reply is when you genuinely have no idea to reply or when we're just fooling around. Replies I have a life and a job outside of Tumblr and RP but I will try to reply in a timely manner, if I don't reply within 3+ days without warning you, you are free to come into my IM and bug me about it. Chances are, the reply is sitting in my drafts and I just need that little push to finish it off. NSFW I'm over the age of twenty-one so NSFW topics like sex, gore, horror ect will be on this blog - considering this is a BSD blog some stuff like that should be expected really. Reblog Karma I'm not fussed if you reblog my ask memes and not send one in. I don't really follow Reblog Karma unless I feel like our muses will be able to interact through it. Ask Threads While I'm not fussed if you do Ask Threads, I'm a bit iffy on them and I would prefer if we moved our roleplay onto a new post so that we can continue it easily. Not to mention, Tumblr sometimes tends to eat asks so I wouldn't want to be one of those who loses an ask and makes my partner feel like I'm ignoring them. Trimming Threads I trim my threads as it makes my blog look neater. You don't have to trim yours if you don't want to but my replies will always be trimmed. Follow/Follow Back I'm a believer of ‘You follow me I follow you back' however if I cannot see our characters interacting with each other then, unfortunately, I will not be following you. If I follow you and you don't follow me back within a week, I will unfollow as I don't wish to clutter up my dash. That is not to say I won't follow you if you do follow me back after that period. I will not follow personal blogs and I will block you if you do follow me, just be warned. Plotting I'm always up for some plotting though I am more a wing-it type of girl. Pre-Established Relationships I'm a sucker for a good relationship and pre-established ones are always the ones that are more fun to roleplay and it also gives us a chance to plot out a potential past thread of how they met. Shipping I'm a shipping whore and this blog is a multi-ship one as well however all ships will be in their own ‘verses' of a sort and so there will be no cheating what-so-ever. Unless, of course, spoken about before hand. Triggers I don't have any triggers myself really. I do tag triggers though with #tw; ____ so if you have a trigger that you want blacklisted do use that format. God modding Nope. Never accept it and I will never do it myself. Password I don't have a password myself however if you do have a password yourself, I will try to send you one though don't be surprised if I don't. I'm a bit anxious when I see stuff like that but I will try to send your password. If I don't send one in on the day I follow, it is just a matter of me having followed you cause you blog looked cool before bed and and I will send one in when I wake up. ~~~~ ICONS In regards to the icons I use; they come from several different sources, I cannot fully remember from where due to the fact that I had them downloaded a while ago and it's kind of hard to find the person who made those specific icons. However I also use icons that I made myself and those ones have a red and black curved-like boarder around them. Those icons I took the time to find the manga/doujin where they're from and I cropped them to make them into my own icons, please do not take them as your own without permission, unless I post them up as a batch on Tumblr. ~~~~ AU/CROSSOVER/DUPLICATE I have no problem whatsoever with this. However if I don't know the fandom you are from then I will not roleplay with you until I have a better understanding of the fandom your character is in. ~~~~ PORTRAYAL Like many other characters on this site, my Atsushi will be divergent from canon and he will also be influenced by headcanon's that I do have for him. As of now they are not available yet but when I get the chance I will post them up. ~~~ HEADCANONS In regards to my headcanons - I take the time to develop them and flesh them out. They are mine and mine alone and they are for my Atsushi. The only way I will allow someone to use my headcanon is if they politely ask permission and even then, it's a huge IF. ~~~ ABOUT THE MUN I'm Trish, 23 year's old and I'm from England though I was born in Poland. I have around 7+ years of roleplaying under my belt and 4 of those are from roleplaying on Tumblr. I had quite a few blogs but there were some people who were awfully rude to me so I deleted them, I stayed away from Tumblr for a few months before coming back. I currently have six other blogs apart from this one though two/three of those are on an indefinite hiatus due to idiots. My timezone is GTM+1 so please do remember that. I don't like dealing with mun drama and anon hate so if you send stuff like that to me be prepared to be blocked and/or reported to Tumblr.

Below are a list of extensions and how to use them to help you RP on Tumblr. Some of them pertain to help you write (grammer, ect.), some of them make your dash easier to manage, some help organize, some do other things! I use all of these in my everyday RPing and it seriously helps things so much. This has a huge portion on Xkit and all the Xkit extensions that are super helplful. The Xkit is at the bottom of the post, because Xkit is the most popular and well known. P.S. One thing I’ve struggled with is organizing and running multiple blogs on seperate accounts, so there will be quite a bit that will help you with that. P.P.S. I have posted this on my archived blog so it is better for viewing a long post than it is on my current theme.

SESSION BOX

Omg session box is MUST HAVE FOR RUNNING MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS. If you have ever wanted to be logged on to multiple accounts in the same browser, dude this is amazing. You can have one tab be one blog, and another tab be the other. Download it for Chrome here

STAY FOCUSED

is a chrome app that can make you stay focused on writing. It will block distracting websites. How I use it is when I need to do drafts, I will set it to block all websites except tumblr.com/blog/buffyisms/drafts (obvs replace buffyisms with your own url), it will even block the tumblr dash mode. You can set it for a time of day or a certain ammount of time. Download for Chrome

AUTO TEXT EXPANDER

is a chrome app that lets you type shortcuts and it will replace them with longer things. I find this extremely useful for QUICKLY TAGGING THINGS. I talk about different ways to quickly tag in my Xkit secotion below, but honestly I find this so much easier. It stores more and has more freedom. It is so useful if you use fancy tags, or if you have tons of character tags to remember. For example if I type ism in the tag box it will automatically replace it with ( & ⁱ'ᵐ ⁿᵒᵗ ᵗᵃˡᵏⁱⁿᵍ ᵃᵇᵒᵘᵗ ᵗʰᵉ ˢˡᵃʸᵉʳ. ⁱ'ᵐ ᵗᵃˡᵏⁱⁿᵍ ᵃᵇᵒᵘᵗ ᵇᵘᶠᶠʸ | ɪꜱᴍꜱ. )

WORD COUNTER

is an app that you can highlight a bit of text and right click and hit word counter and it will tell you how many words are in it. This is good if you want to match your partners reply and make sure yours ins’t too short, or long, or whatever. For example this paragraph has59 words. Download for chrome

NEW XKIT. AKA the HOLY FUCKIN’ GRAIL of tumblr roleplaying. Since Xkit has like five million things on it, I will be listing the Xkit extensions that help me with roleplaying, what they do, and how to use them. Seriously Xkit is God, and if you RP on a desktop/laptop I would HIGHLY recommend getting Xkit. First off all, you can download Xkit here for google chrome, they have Xkit for firefox as well. IMPORTANT: DOWNLOAD NEW XKIT NOT THE REGULAR XKIT AS IT DOESN’T WORK ANYMORE. YOU CAN’T HAVE BOTH AT ONCE. ONLY HAVE NEW XKIT INSTALLED.

XInbox What it does: Enables you to tag answer posts before you post them. This is amazing, and necessary if you use any kind of tagging system at all. Delete multiple asks in the mass editor mode. This is good if you are cleaning out your inbox or if tumblr fucks up and gives you multiple of the same ask someone sent you Tags usernames automatically aka it will tag any answer you publish with the askers username. This makes it so they can find it in their tracked url tag. Tags anonymous posts with a tag of your choosing if you have a certain tag for anons. Tags answer posts with a tag of your choosing if you have an answered tag. If you have different tags for ooc and ic asks I wouldn’t use this feature.

One click postage This is my favorite feature and I literally can’t be on tumblr without this anymore. In short what this does is create a hover pop up over any reblog button on dash so you can reblog straight from dash. You can use keyboard shortcuts to queue, draft, ect. Buttons to straight post reblog, queue, or draft post Creates a green already reblogged button to let you know that you may have already reblogged that post. Remove caption option and a box to replace caption

Tweaks This comes with every Xkit and is a huge list of any tweaks Xkit can give you. P.S. There are tons of tweaks and i’m not gonna list them all, just the ones that I use to help me RP. Wrap Tags so you can read all the tags someone uses on a post without it getting cut off. Show new post icons on secondary pages aka your blog page, your queue, your drafts, ect. You can create a new post from anywhere. Always show the move to top button on queue aka any post can be immediately moved to the top of the queue. Show the mass post editor and blog setting button

Anti Capitalism Gets rid of ads, which is amazing because none of us want them.

Blacklist This is a must have for anyone with triggers. This doesn’t just block tagged things, but it go through the text of a post for your trigger words. It has two options one is a warning for trigger word posts and the other will just not show them.

Editable Reblogs This is a MUST HAVE. This allows you to once again be able to cut posts, because no one likes a dash that has 32094380x replies and takes up the whole dash. Just click a little button and you can edit any part of a post. Including you’re partners reply, you’re previous reply. Also good for those little survey things so you can actually fill them in, or bold them, or whatever.

Notification Block This will block notifications from you’re activity page on a certain post. (Note: only works on the actual activity page and not the activity pop up.) If you’re like me and you make tons of ask box memes or little guides just like this one, you totally need this one. If you have a post that has become popular and ruined your activity so you can’t see the activity you actually need to see to RP, this will make it so it does not appear on you’re activity page if someone reblogs your post. This goes without saying, but don’t use this on thread posts that ya know, you actually need to see when someone reblogs it. Example, if this guide right here becomes popular I can make it so it doesn’t mess up my activity page. (although i’m posting it on my archive blog because my current blog has a theme that would make this harder to see). HUGE NOTE: To get this to work right you should have GO TO DASH installed (that I will talk about soon). So to get this to work, pull up the post on YOUR OWN BLOG and click the little hand. This will take it to the post on your dash. At the bottom with all the other buttons, there will be a button with a hand and a lightening bolt. Click this to stop all notifications for that certain post.

Outbox This saved your sent asks. It saves the last 50 of them. It saves both things you send people and private replies. Super good if you need to reference something with plotting or if you can’t remember if you sent that person the same meme.

Post Archiver This is a totally underrated Xkit extension. It is amazing if you have multiple RP accounts. It is also good for tons of other things too. So pretty much you can ‘save’ any post into the xkit archive popup. If you see a post you don’t want to reblog or queue yet, but don’t want taking up your drafts, you can click the button with a down arrow at the bottom of it and save it to Xkit’s Archiver. With multiple blogs I use this if I see a musing post or a meme that doesn’t work for the blog i’m on but I would love to use it for my other blog. You can have categories you can save to that helps organize your archived posts. I’ll have a category that will say ‘Buffy memes and musings’ and when I log on to Buffy I can view them and reblog them on her. This is also amazing to save resources. Any guides or anything you can use later on, save to the archiver and view them any time.

Post Block This is amazing if a post people reblog keeps on appearing on your dash and you don’t wnat to see it anymore. Pretty much makes it so you don’t have to see the post anymore

Quick Tags Dear God, this is another one of my life savers. This adds buttons to when you reblog or post a post, both in reblog from dash and normal reblog, to add tags that you choose. I will say that this only adds 30 tag bundles. But each tag bundle can contain tons of tags. Some people will add tons of tags to a bundle and delete the ones they don’t use. For me that’s too much. But to each their own. I use this for quick tagging musings, memes, character photos, promos, ooc posts, ect. With the click of a button it’s already tags. Amazing if you use fancy tags, or can’t remember all your tags.

Reblog Yourself Literally you can reblog yourself. Good for rebloggin your self promos

Tag Tracking Shows tags in sidebar to track. Essential for tracking your url tag and group verse tags.

View My Tags Another amazing thing to help you tag everything. You can use instead of or with quick tags. This shows you your most recent fifty tags. and you can search for certain ones. Because it does most recent tags, if you use this I would do frequent tag drops.

Bookmarker Adds a little line divider on your dash from the last thing you read. Great for lurking on the dash, it will tell you that you had already read (or sometimes havent read but last time you refreshed the dash) below that line.

Old Sidebar Returns tumblrs old sidebar. I love this because you can easily get to you posts, queue, drafts, ect.

Tag Replacer Must have if you redo your tags. You can put in your old tag and it will find everything tagged with that and automatically replace that tag with your new one. Amazing for redoing tags and maintaining blog organization.

Auto Tagger I use this to automatically tag certain kinds of posts. I.e. it will tag all queue posts with my queue tag, or all audio or video with a tag you have for those kind of posts.

Find Inactives Omg essential for cleaning your dash. it can find blogs that have been inactive for an ammount of months that you set. Unfortunately it can’t unfollow them for you, but finding them is like 3/4 of the battle! This will keep your following number to the people that are active on your dash

Enhanced Queue Totally freakin essential for anyone that uses the queue for anything, ‘specially if you queue replies. My favorite feature is shuffle queue. If you queue up a bunch of gif sets from a blog but don’t want them to come out one after another, or queue up replies but don’t want them all stacked up, you can shuffle the queue. Note: It will only shuffle the posts you have loaded. If you want the whole queue shuffled, scroll down until the end of the queue is loaded. On that note, if you have a large queue but don’t want some of your replies to end up coming out two weeks later, when you queue up your replies, only load one or two more times and then shuffle. That will keep them still in the front. Just don’t shuffle the whole thing after or it will redo that.

Hermes Underrated GOD of xkit. If you ever scroll through your dash for a long time, you will notice things starting to lag and it’s so freakin’ frustrating. This is because your browser still has to remember and keep loaded those posts from the start of your dash. Hermes makes all the posts you have already seen blank, so your browser doesn’t take as much memory to remember them and lessens dash lag.

Mass Deleter This will delete all your current drafts or likes. Now for the drafts, I don’t find that useful unless you are legit clearing out everything. I wish there was a way to toggle the draft button off because tbh it’s a scary button. But it has a confirmation pop up so don’t worry! On the other hand I love the delete all current likes. It keeps my likes more clean.

Shorten Posts Do long posts bother you on your dash? Whether they are memes or other peoples replies or whatever. But you don’t want them to completely disappear, because hey! you might need them. You can set a set pixel length and all posts will be shorten to that. You can click a button to expand the post to it’s original if you want to read the whole thing.

WEBSITES TO HELP YOU WITH THEME STUFF

Pictaculous you can upload your theme background or sidebar pictures and it will give you a color scheme to use on your blog

Screenfly is a site you can view your blog on different screen sizes to make sure it looks good on all screens. Includes ipad and mobile phones too.

Subtle Patterns by toptal has tons of subtle backgrounds that work with tiled backgrounds. Great for pop ups, or your theme background, or graphics, or really so much.

WEBSITES TO HELP WITH WRITING STUFF

Tone Analyzer is so freakin’ cool. Paste your writing or replies in, and it will tell you what emotions you emote in it. Not just which ones, but the percentage of each, and which phrases, sentences that have those certain emotions. It is just so freakin’ cool PS if you’re an angst queen like me, it’s just gonna say sad most of the time lmfao.

Grammerly is a google chrome app that can help you correct your grammer way better than the autopmatic spell corrector.

Readable is a website that you can paste your writing into and it will analyze it and tell you cliches you have, or if your sentences are too long, ect.

OTHER USEFUL/COOL WEBSITES TO HELP WITH RP

CopyPasteCharacter is great for all those symbols that you might need for anything. It has like all of them and by clicking on them you automatically copy them.

Aestheticizer this is great for any kind of fancy script. Put in words or sentences and it will convert them into any kind of fancy text. This is awesome if you use the new fancy tags trend because then you don’t have to copy and paste every character.

Discord is pretty much an online alternative to skype. Create a chat group and invite people and just chat ooc or ic!

Evernote is a notebook organizing website that I use to help me keep track of EVERYTHING. Tag names, things I owe, plot ideas, everything!

Blog organization: A guide

Mama bird here, gonna give ya a rundown on how to make ur bloggos 👍👍 so y’all can gain more traffic and love for all ya lovely blogs and mons.

Been doing this pokemon blogging business for 4 years, been here and back, so lemme give ya the 411 on how to make them blogs sparkle n shine

Pokeask/daily blogs should be focused on exactly that: interactions and the such. OOC should be limited to munday memes and the such. I know some folks prefer to keep ooc meme prompts to weekends and munday, I’m more neutral on that. Do what you like, just tag it accordingly so people can blacklist if they don’t want to see meme content. Use a meme tag. I myself have a personal tumblr where I reblog all sorts of stuff, cuz tbh when I look at a blog I want to see stuff relating to the theme of the blog, not random ooc reblogs (been seeing a blog reblogging animals relating to their muse under a specific tag, I’d say that’s perf fine since it’s related, and there’s a tag that can be blacklisted if folks don’t wanna see it!).

But Yonder I want to talk to other people and jab about the stuff I like! How do I talk to others if I’m gonna clog up daily/ask content here? Fam I feel you. I talk bout myself all the time lmao. On my twitter, and in discord chats! Got twitter a year ago, It’s a perfect platform to get to know others better, and you can do memes there too! Nowadays when people talk to me via IM I redirect them to my twitter cuz it’s just easier for me. The formatting of twitter just makes it easier to start convos b/c everyone’s pretty much constantly making new convo starters you can respond to whenever. This is more of a personal note but I don’t really show my personality much here on my blogs so by looking through my twitter peeps’ll be able to better judge if we’ll get along!

Speaking of tagging: Abuse the tagging system! Got an ooc post? Tag it ooc! Got an art post? Use an art tag (you don’t have to, that’s getting fairly specific, but I do)! For example: I use the tag #out of park for my ooc posts. And specific mons are tagged as is too! So if someone wants to dig up a specific response they can via a species tag like #pangoro or w/e.

As a side note when people search up tags on tumblr, only the first 5 tags of any given post are put into those tumblr searches. If you want people to find your art tagged under #pkmnart or w/e, be sure it’s one of the first 5 tags in your post! This’ll make sure your content will be seen by more people who otherwise wouldn’t have seen it.

Have all info on a muse easily accessible (aka, a ref)! If I can’t find it within 5 clicks or so (this is relating to user interfaces in general on the web), I’m probably not gonna bother to dig around for it. Got other things to do fam, job, college, commissions, adult life n all that jazz. And we all know social media gives us terribly short attention spans lmao.

Clean up outdated material. Done with that meme you did a few days ago? Delete the prompt so it’s not cluttering your content. If you really wanna save those meme responses, make them into a private post, or compile them all in a draft and delete the original posts. It breaks my heart when I see a lovely blog, but I gotta dig through 10 meme prompts to see any actual content. I usually don’t follow a blog back if I see that.

This is a huge pet peeve of mine but Trim Ya Posts!! See this?

I’ll instantly unfollow if I see this. If you’re going to reblog something like this please, I implore you to 1) use ya personal blog homie, this really shouldn’t be on an ask/daily blog. 2) tag as #long post so that blacklist extension can do it’s magic. This extends to untrimmed rps. Xkit has extensions that allow for deleting the older replies in threads, so when you reblog something your followers aren’t seeing the same starter post for the 20th time.

What if I can’t get Xkit? Well, usually in that case the best alternative is to draw/make the reply and put a [previous post] link either above or below your reply! Trust me, your followers will thank you for it.

Some other tips:

Don’t use super bright colors for blog headers and themes. If them colors make my eyes hurt I’m avoiding it like the plague. https://coolors.co/ is a great color palette generating site! How we perceive color varies from person to person but generally super saturated colors should be avoided for blog headers.

Don’t reblog 4 memes at once. It’s a bit much, at least to me;;

If someone’s taking requests and is asking for a reblogged ref, reply to the original post instead of making a giant thread of ref pics

People might be tearing into each other for w/e reason on your dash but honestly even if the people involved made it public don’t get mixed into it if it doesn’t involve you. Be mature and know when to mind your own business.

Adding to this: talk about issues privately. Not everyone needs to know your beef with so-and-so unless they’re a threat to minors or they’re doing something undeniably nasty, ect.

Don’t gossip. Dude. You may not think so but we can tell who you’re vauging about. Just. Stop. Vent to a friend in private or something.

Dumb anon bugging you? Just. Block em hun. Take a breather, they have no power over you. Just reply with ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and move on.

Communicate. If something someone does bugs you, talk to them privately. Vauging and gossiping does nothing to solve the problem except make it incredibly hard to discern what’s truth and what’s not in a situation.

Don’t force a friendship by saying “can we be friends?” It makes things incredibly awkward. You don’t become a friend with someone via request. The best friends I’ve made on here? I don’t even remember when or how we started talking, it just happened naturally.

Generally, peeps have an internet alias that isn’t their muse’s name. For example, my name is not Grovyle. My name is Yonder, and I don’t wish to be addressed as Grovyle as she is one of many fictional fabrications I have. She’s not my identity, not by a long-shot. I’ll only resort to using the muse/url I know them by to address someone if I literally have no other way to distinguish them in a chat.

Oneliners and incoherent sentence structure (not on part of the muse’s personalty but rather the person’s writing) on a regular basis in a response tend to make it very hard for people to reply or maintain interest. Though generally this applies more to text-based blogs where text is what people are coming to the blog for.

Ur all wonderful n I know many of you are new to this and I want you all to enjoy blogging and avoid the mistakes I made when I was a wee blogger back in 2013. Feel free to ask for clarification, I write this in an attempt to help things be more streamlined and easier for everyone in this community! And of course, I’m sure plenty of this is subjective on my part.

Writing Lenght

I’m a paragraph roleplayer as I do love to put some information into the scenery, my characters thoughts and feelings as well as what they’re doing. Multi-Paragraph and Novella replies I will do slowly as I believe that for those sort of replies, you need to take your time and consider everything. The only time I will accept a one-liner reply is when you genuinely have no idea to reply or when we’re just fooling around.

Replies

I have a life and a job outside of Tumblr and RP but I will try to reply in a timely manner, if I don’t reply within 3+ days without warning you, you are free to come into my IM and bug me about it. Chances are, the reply is sitting in my drafts and I just need that little push to finish it off.

NSFW

I’m over the age of twenty-one so NSFW topics like sex, gore, horror ect will be on this blog and considering this is a Teen Wolf blog, of course there will be NSFW stuff.

Reblog Karma

I’m not fussed if you reblog my ask memes and not send one in. I don’t really follow Reblog Karma unless I feel like our muses will be able to interact through it.

Ask Threads

While I’m not fussed if you do Ask Threads, I’m a bit iffy on them and I would prefer if we moved our roleplay onto a new post so that we can continue it easily. Not to mention, Tumblr sometimes tends to eat asks so I wouldn’t want to be one of those who loses an ask and makes my partner feel like I’m ignoring them.

Trimming Threads

I trim my threads as it makes my blog look neater. You don’t have to trim yours if you don’t want to but my replies will always be trimmed.

Follow/Follow Back

I’m a believer of ‘You follow me I follow you back’ however if I cannot see our characters interacting with each other then, unfortunately, I will not be following you.

If I follow you and you don’t follow me back within a week, I will unfollow as I don’t wish to clutter up my dash. That is not to say I won’t follow you if you do follow me back after that period.

I will not follow personal blogs and I will block you if you do follow me, just be warned.

Plotting

I’m always up for some plotting though I am more a wing-it type of girl.

Pre-Established Relationships

I’m a sucker for a good relationship and pre-established ones are always the ones that are more fun to roleplay and it also gives us a chance to plot out a potential past thread of how they met.

Shipping

I’m a shipping whore and this blog is a multi-ship one as well however all ships will be in their own ‘verses’ of a sort and so there will be no cheating what-so-ever.

Triggers

I don’t have any triggers myself really. I do tag triggers though with #tw; ____ so if you have a trigger that you want blacklisted do use that format.

God modding

I will not accept god-modding of any kind; Luciano is my character and I’m the only one who is allowed to play him. The only time I will accept god-modding is if you send me a message and politely ask if you can do so. Chances are I will say yes if you have a good enough reason.

Password

I don’t have a password myself however if you do have a password yourself, I will try to send you one though don’t be surprised if I don’t. I’m a bit anxious when I see stuff like that but I will try to send your password.

If I don’t send one in on the day I follow, it is just a matter of me having followed you cause you blog looked cool before bed and and I will send one in when I wake up.

IN REGARDS TO DECEASED CHARACTERS (ALLISON/ERICA/BOYD/ETHAN/AIDEN/ETC)

Personally, I have no problem roleplaying with any of those characters. My Stiles is Canon Divergent after S3 thus characters that are deceased from S4 onwards are alive to him. Characters that died before S4, as long as you have a verse with your character being alive past a certain point then I have no problem in roleplaying.

PORTRAYAL

I roleplay my Stiles as Canon Divergent from S3B, in otherwords after the Nogitsune. In my opinion, Stiles’ possession and the aftermath should’ve been something that should have been covered more. I feel that due to the possession and pretty much being the ‘engine’ for the Nogitsune, Stiles’ mindset and psyche had taken a downturn. As such, after S3B, my Stiiles will be heavily headcanon infulenced.

HEADCANONS

In regards to my headcanons - I take the time to develop them and flesh them out. They are mine and mine alone and they are for my Stiles. The only way I will allow someone to use my headcanon is if they politely ask permission and even then, it’s a huge IF.

I’m Trish, just turned 23 (22nd September) and I’m from England though I was born in Poland. I have around 7+ years of roleplaying under my belt and 4 of those are from roleplaying on Tumblr. I had quite a few blogs but there were some people who were awfully rude to me so I deleted them, I stayed away from Tumblr for a few months before coming back.

I currently have four other blogs apart from this one though two of those are on an indefinite hiatus.

My timezone is GTM+1 so please do remember that.

I don’t like dealing with mun drama and anon hate so if you send stuff like that to me be prepared to be blocked and/or reported to Tumblr.

Tags and Rules

For Mobile users!

For anything you beautiful peeps may need.

RULES

Asks that make any of my characters possibly uncomfortable are FINE. HOWEVER, asks that make the mun uncomfortable are a no-go. I am very open and the like buuut I got my limits. Feel free to send an ask first if it’d be okay if you’re unsure.

If you need anything tagged in advance, let me know. This blog can and will have blood, nsfw themes, and even death.

This blog is planned to mainly be set on/ in South Park, and it’s possible AUs. However, I can work around other OCs and worlds if need be.

Multiverse and Fandomless friendly, but if you think some things will clash, we can talk it out first.

I’m flexible in my writing styles (A paragraph or two are common if I can help it), but I am not a fan of one liners. Like, if a post is ONLY “She laughed”, or something similar. Also, if posts are not trimmed down, they can get out of control and flood my dash. I can unfollow without warning if this is the case. I’m sorry, but I don’t enjoy scrolling pat posts as long as the original “DO YOU LIKE THE COLOR OF THE SKY’ post.

I trim my posts to include my partners last post, and my current post. If you trim later that is fine, but gosh, if you don’t trim at all I may have myself an upset if my dash is flooded by your rps. (aka, see previous rule.) If I’m on mobile I may reply once or twice, until I can hop on a computer to keep my posts trimmed.

I don’t have any passwords for my rules, as I feel they are generic stuff. HOWEVER if I followed you (or followed back) and you DO, don’t worry. I always read rules before interacting. In fact I’ll likely double or triple check to make sure I’m good. I just often forget to send them (Or sometimes I do not care), but, trust me, I’m a good cherub.

I can and will likely multiship, but I am new to it so bear with me.

Don’t heckle me for replies, please. I will occasionally ask for reminders, but if I feel hounded I will shy away.

If my Sybil muse is feeling peckish, I may seem to favor one rp more than another. Please don’t take offense to this.

Godmodding. Also smack me if you feel like I’m doing this. My little lady isn’t defenseless (Or unkillable) by any means, but she isn’t a goddesses. You may treat her as one though, she’d like that.
