Love how I took the time and effort to take active steps to avoid Saw gore on the For You page, and then not ten minutes ago I load up my Following page to a post of a woman with fenceposts sticking out of her and blood everywhere.

That goes for anyone else, too. Creativity is derivative in nature, but as with anything, ever, it is so, so important that you cite your sources. Now, this doesn't mean encroach on people's boundaries if they have a strict rule against any of these things. But if you ask permission, and give proper credit, you'd be surprised how encouraging some people will be.

I am BEGGING YOU to TAG YOUR SHIT CORRECTLY.

The first and foremost rule of Ao3 tagging:

For each tag, ask yourself the question: if my reader clicked on my story for this tag specifically, will they be satisfied?

If you have other ships in your content you can tag them like, ‘Robin Buckley/Nancy Wheeler (mentioned)’ and that will save a lot of us from screaming into the void. Please.
