Damn looking back at the outrage when he got casted for tcr and wow what a time to be alive. His popularity really makes people bully him all the time. No wonder he said fuck social media last year.

A lot of people want to subject him into a certain type of actor and they do it to a lot of actors not just tom. Though if we were to talk about film twitter specifically the final straw to switch and hate on him this much was the martin scorsese quote that I’m sure wasn’t said in an arrogant or disrespectful tone as distributed on twitter.

Not that critics always matter but some times with the hate I see him endure there I wonder if it will affect the opinion of his projects even when it’s really good. Times like this I’m glad amanda was casted so they would at least be fair about it. Especially coming after the dropout which was SO critically acclaimed. Blondee wouldn’t choose any project.

I've always said that if you're getting unnecessary hate for practically NO good reason, then you MUST be doing something right, because you're so popular that people are so triggered and bothered by your popularity that they have to make fun of you or put you down for it lol 😅🤣

Who cares what people think?? Movies are ART. Art will always be subjective. What might touch you may not touch me, and vice versa. But that's the BEAUTY of art. It can touch people differently and in many different ways. You don't have to like everything, but you can at the very least appreciate the hard work and effort that it took to make these films.... no matter how "awful" you may feel they were.

I don't think so. If a project was phenomenally GOOD, then most critics and audience members will usually say so, no matter WHAT God-awful projects you used to do before in the past lol. 😅 That's been my general observation. Each project is treated like it's own separate entity.

Now granted, if they just don't like a person, then maybe they might be biased to just hate on any project they do (bad OR good).... But from my experience, most people LIKE Tom, so don't think he falls into that category.
