the sad thing is that Tachihara is forced to choose between 2 found families and they're so at odds. his social groups are split between two sides of the law, which makes a compromise pretty much impossible. imo Tachihara genuinely doesn't have much of a moral compass; he follows his heart and he does what his friends/family wants him to do. AND THATS THE THING because no matter which side Tachihara chooses he'd feel like he's betraying people that he cares about
