I think I would like the bunker more as a concept if they were squatters rather than legacies, you know? Like the the like inherited secret society birthright thing doesn't do it for me but two crunchy regular dudes who find an abandoned secret society hide out and go Aw Shit Free House? THAT I'm into.

There's just something about Floyd being unhinged in fics that just gets me.

Like yes he gets portrayed as a sweet frail uwu boi most of the time, which is also niceee and all, and would also suit his sensitive title. But then there are fics where Floyd is absolutely off the rails at times; where Floyd is nearing losing his voice being the loudest in a shouting match, where Floyd nearly bites someone's head off in anger, where Floyd tries to sneak out of his room multiple times even when his body still very much recovering from greeting his grandma, where Floyd wrestles with his brother on the floor because he's about to do impulsive sht for the people he cares about, fics where Floyd absolutely LOSES HIS SHIT

And the best part is that none of it is out of character for him at all. In fact, it'd cement his title as the sensitive one even more. Being sensitive isn't just about sad and mopey. Sometimes its about being nuts, and paranoid, and being impulsive when your loved ones are in danger and being so so angry that you'd yell and cry from the frustration. Not that he's always feral and wild- because he's def the one to mediate most of the time, but in situations where his loved ones are in danger, I just love when he's unapologetically emotional in every aspect about it, when he's sobbing and yelling without abandon.

There's something about Floyd in fics letting his emotions speak in such a powerful, feral way that gets me.

I just finished re-watching season 3 with someone who hasn't seen the show before and anyone who thinks Steve was silly for thinking Robin was into him/ should have somehow known she was gay before confessing to her, really needs to rewatch their heart-to-heart scene in the Russian bunker. Robin tells Steve outright that she was obsessed with him (her, not "all girls") and was watching him close enough to still remembers his exact breakfast down to what kind of bagel it was!! Everything she says, down to the insults, sounds like she's bitter about an unrequited crush. Which she is! Just not on him.

My friend knew going in that she was gay and still thought this was a love confession!

So when Steve confesses in the bathroom, it's not baseless or comes out of nowhere: He's acting based on her words, their budding friendship pre-season, and the intimancy they built under the mall.

He has every reason to think he'd have a serious shot at having his feelings returned, which makes how well he reacts to Robin recontextualizing things for him even better imo.

One thing I’m just gonna complain about for a sec. People keep acting like Jimmy was the only bad boy who knew anything about the frog.

JOEL NAMED JUDGE JUDY AND EXECUTIONER.

Do you think Grian and Joel making Jimmy’s grave in the bunker along with Judge Judy and Executioner was them magically gaining information about something Jimmy cared about but they didn’t? No, Joel suggested they make his grave there. Because HE KNEW ABOUT THE BUNKER. It was Grian’s first time there, not Joel’s, but I’ve seen people say it was the first time either of them went there which doesn’t make sense cuz then how would they have known about it lol

Joel may not have been involved in the Judge Judy and Executioner plot, but he was aware of it and never shut down Jimmy for talking about it. Just because Grian was crying and screaming about Jimmy talking about frogs doesn’t mean Joel was; he always tried to be a mediator between them.

To be clear this isn’t meant to be Grian slander I just feel like everyone acting like Joel is on the same level of knowledge/care about the frog thing is Joel slander and I will not stand for it.

there's something so haunting about the ghouls of amnesia with how 'hunger' is so associated with them. mainly because of how they were left behind after the other world fell. because it's not like they're ACTUALLY hungry for flesh

(or at least that's how it seems given the bodies left behind in areas they inhabit like the fortress or bunker)

any bites taken out of people seem to be solely to cause further pain and torment in order to maximize vitae potential, with vitae being the essence the ghouls/harvesters are ACTUALLY 'hungry' for

once that supply of vitae (being allowed to hunt) ended after the fall of zerzura it's unsettling to think of how long they've just been left with that insatiable hunger for something they're unlikely to ever receive again. ignoring the rare occasions people stumble across their nesting grounds and such.

idk, when it comes to monsters they make me very sad. former humans, with varying degrees of self left, endlessly starving, doomed to be these predatory creatures for...however long it takes ghouls to die without vitae? ouch. my heart. 😢😢😢
