Think I made nearly-perfect chanterelles tonight for dinner

#slice in half to maximize surface area touching pan & lightly salt to bring out moisture #heat up skillet nice n medium hot so they dont burn but they start to caramelize & bring out their moisture #most importantly skillets completely dry at first #otherwise theyll soak up the oil n u just make mush #wait til water starts to come out #flip very occasionally #have a nice butter lightly browning in the meantime #throw in the evenly-chopped elephant garlic once the mushroom moisture is starting to empty #once the mushrooms start to get shriveled start to add in the butter #add tarragon & dill near the end #creme/kefir would go well i think but cooking for the mildly lactose intolerant #i couldve browned the butter more i think #maybe add the taragon & some garlic to the butter too to infuse it a bit? #next time #might just burn the tarragon/garlic tho 🤷‍♀️ different sturdinesses

Not sure if that'd carry over to Cassie though. If Cassie is a human girl turned animatronic then her thoughts, feelings, instincts, etc. won't have changed that much I don't think? They wouldn't need to program anything really except basic things that allow her to control her body and stuff so I dunno if she'd get many Dogisms

Roxy is fucked though. Anyone that snitches about the effects a squeaky toy has on her brain will die. And be completely deafened by Roxy squeaking said squeaky toy to death whilst running around at full speed. A squeaker will give her the zooms and they're so fucking difficult to contain. She can't stop them. She can only prolong the inevitable. And she can only do it for so long before she snaps, grabs the squeaky thing with her teeth and zooms.

I love Roxy's Dogisms they're very fun

#i love all of their animalisms #they add such interesting dynamics to everyone #some of them have such strong animal traits while others have much weaker ones #there's a full spectrum here #roxy happens to have VERY strong animalisms #and so does chica! #it's a problem for all of them that i haven't factored into everything epse just yet #i haven't talked about their animalisms for a while and some of their backstories are gonna have to change now #which means several animalisms either have to be toned down or dealt with in different ways #chica in particular is a bit of a hurdle there #i suppose it all depends on how big a gap there is between them in terms of age #cause it's SIGNIFICANTLY smaller now #hmmmmmmmm #i can probably keep most of it it'd just need some big tweaks #chica is such an interesting one for animalisms #roxy less so but that's mostly because she's my blorbo and I've thought about it a lot already #but yeah all their animalisms are fun!! very interesting!! they add a nice little touch of depth to them i think! #fun stuff i think! #pop rox answers

working at an art store is like. the best and worst thing i’ve ever done. every weekend i am tested. people come in buying so much paint and canvases and i ask what are you going to paint and they almost always show me pictures of their stuff OR if i’m really lucky, they want their stuff framed and i can see the real deal! i’m so locked in to oil, it’s really fun to talk to other painters about their mediums of choice. like, i havent tried acrylics in probably two years? and i’ve certainly only gotten better at painting since then, i should revisit it! or folks buying beads and jewellery making stuff. i’d like to try that :)

#i used to make bracelets and earrings and shit with my mama when i was a kid #we have soooo many beads etc at work it’s insane. hundreds #i’m also thinking about things like: Posca pens and gold foil appliqué #i’d like to get back into collaging and multi-media paintings #which are a bit harder w oil because it’s so finicky and takes so long to fully 100% dry #even if you can touch it and no paint comes off that doesn’t mean the oils are bound and set #so if you add other stuff the pigments can bleed or run #i just love oil so much……expensive and messy though #nice acrylics would be fun to mess around w again. something thick
