Is your favorite color different than your favorite color to wear? Oh yeah. Do you buy books or get them from the library? Buy them. What section of the food pyramid do you neglect the most? Veggies for sure. What do you use your stovetop for most? Well, I don’t ever. Can you focus on studying if there's music on? No, I need silence. In what types of situations do you demand absolute silence? Well, see the above answer, for one. Also going to sleep. Well, maybe not, as I have a fan as kinda like white noise, but I can sleep without it. Did you do well at fitness testing in grade school? I didn’t score bad, but I wasn’t exceptional either. Do you own more shoes or less shoes than the average person? Less, I’m sure. Do you still have anything from when you were a baby? Yeah, up in the attic. I think my mom has some stuff that’s super important to her in a case somewhere. Do you use hairspray much? I never do. Are art museums interesting or boring to you? I enjoy them. Well, this is a difficult question to answer when you consider I think depending on your career focus as well as personal values and interests, this answer changes from person to person. Like for me, I could say I don’t give a shit about complex math, but advanced math courses would be valued by certain people down specific paths. But anyway, I’ll bite and say least necessary for *the most* people, in my opinion anyway. Gym. It’s very discriminatory towards people with more limited physical capabilities (and I don’t just mean literally disabled), and it’s also just very uncomfortable and/or embarrassing to some people. Like I’d fuckin cry if in my current state, I was forced to “run” a mile, because I physically couldn’t come even close. A person, a younger one especially, should never be subjected to humiliation at the hands of a class schools deem “necessary” when it absolutely is not. Okay I’m in a talkative mood and this is turning into an essay so I’mma move along now. When you were a kid, what games did you always play on the playground? I think for as long as I had recess, my go-to was ALWAYS the swings. I fucking loved swingsets. I loved playing 4 Square or whatever it was called. And then of course there was me digging tunnels in the sandboxes because I wanted to feel like a meerkat lmfao. Do you enjoy power outages or do you get annoyed? For some reason, I still have this childlike excitement *early* into a power outage. Especially when it’s dark and we have to get out the candles, and I might play my old GameBoy or Nintendo DS, or I’ll probably just chill talking with Mom. However, that phase is pretty short nowadays, being a snake mama. My mind very quickly goes back to “Venus needs her lamp,” so as time passes, I get more anxious than annoyed. Basically, I’d rather not have one. Do you know how to use an ATM? … no lmao How about write a check? No. Are you pretty politically correct? To a degree I consider reasonable. Personally I find political correctness as having gone too far by now, but it’s certainly appropriate in some instances. What is one fashion trend you'll never understand? I… don’t really care to think much on this. Wear what makes you feel confident in yourself. There are things I think don’t look good, but they may look great to you, and it’s on your body, so guess whose opinion matters. What do you wear when you exercise? Oh yeesh. Just sweatpants and a tank top, normally. What is usually the last thing you do before you go to bed? I turn the brightness on my phone waaay down. I’m always going to wake up throughout the night and check the time, but I don’t want to be blinded.

Thoughts on the “Trisha Drama”

I’m going to preface this with my previous thoughts of both sides. I didn’t know who Trisha was until after I found out about the vlog squad about a year ago. I didn’t mind her, i thought she brought out an interesting perspective to the group. Then I thought she was literally off her rocker. 

I loved the vlog squad bc I found them in a really difficult time in my life and they kept me from getting too deep into a depression. While I saw some of their mistakes, I saw the best in them all and hoped for change or at least some kind of accountability. 

This is gonna be really long and idk if anyone is even gonna read this/care lol but Im just so frustrated with a lot of the people that are into the vs. Like after really looking into everything that happened, I felt kind of ashamed to be backing the vs bc they’re doing some fucked up stuff tbh. 

So lets do a basic rundown of mistakes made. 

Mistakes in their public relationship:    -Trisha: made sexual jokes about jason’s friends, started arguments about her insecurities instead of starting a conversation.     -Jason: made sexual jokes about girl’s a decade younger than trisha (and 2 and a half decades younger than him), would complain about having to go do things trisha liked doing and would pout the whole time  (i.e. disneyland and a couple of the hamilton viewings), would egg on trishas insecurities, literally dumped her on a daily basis and call her crazy when she voiced said insecurities and then would basically get back together within an hour and practically give everyone whiplash, also talked about her weight and eating habits CONSTANTLY (fucking dick)    -David: inputted himself in their relationship, recorded their fights and encouraged their toxic behavior to both his friends and his audience

Mistakes in the “official” breakup:    -Trisha: talking about jason’s ex and kids, comparing david to ted bundy (a lil wild but tbh not that big of a deal bc no one actually believed thats what she meant but anyway), the brandon thing (we’ll come back to this)    -Jason: continuing to make jokes about fucking a 19/20 year old despite his gf saying she didn’t like it, not putting an end to David “pressuring him” to making said jokes, the brandon thing    -David: ignoring his “friend” when she said not to put something in his vlog, putting his image and career first

Mistakes after:    -Trisha: constantly going on rants about david and Jason.    -Jason: staying in contact with trisha secretly. (ill get back to this too)    -David: putting his image above all else. 

Now we’re going to get into some uncomfortable hot takes. I’m gonna get a whole lotta hate from stans but tbh idc anymore

The Brandon Thing (I’ve done some digging since her video exploding at Jeff): 

   -Brandon began a relationship with a high schooler. She was underage the first time they had sex. There’s receipts and timelines set up. I’d recommend Petty Paige’s Youtube video on it for specifics.     -Lot’s of vs fans say she only brought it up when her and Jason ended so that meant she didn’t really care, but I’d like to point out that she has stated (on more than one occasion) that she voiced her thoughts on this multiple times to the group in Private and no one cared. Y’all are always going on about how she should say whatever she has to say in private but when she does and is ignored, what then? Just a thought.     -Let’s also bring the rest of the vs up in this. How come none of them ever said anything? They’re the ones still out here tolerating him. Pretty hypocritical. I’m not gonna aim anything at the girls bc none of them have Brandon in their videos but the guys? Jeff, Jason, David, Todd and I think Scott too, have all had Brandon in at least one video. They’re out here talking shit about Trisha amongst each other but are friends with a predator? Lmao Okay, cool. 

Jason Keeping in Contact for months: 

   -This was dumb.     -As someone who has suffered from mental health issues and has been in a mental hospital and suffered from attachment AND abandonment issues, Trisha would’ve been better off had Jason ended things and kept them that way. Instead, he ended their public relationship and friendship. He kept her a secret from even his “friends” and then dragged on their “friendship” for months. For what? He should’ve just given her her things and closure and kept it pushing.     -On that, why did he keep her belongings for so long and refuse to give it back until she said something public about it? He ignored her calls and texts about her very expensive things for weeks. Then she made a video calling him out on it, and she got her stuff back.    -I’m seeing a pattern here, aren’t you?

The Jeff Thing (did some digging on him too...by digging i mean google):

   -This one makes my blood boil for several reasons. ESPECIALLY AFTER TODAYS VIDEO. It rlly put everything into perspective omg.     -The starbucks story that Trisha told was the same everywhere: ‘I saw Jeff at Starbucks and said hey. He ignored me and was such a pussy he left his order at the counter after having paid.’ His masculinity is SO FRAGILE that he twisted it into ‘I’m not gonna be fake with someone who fucked over my friend. Can’t fuck them up either tho lol’ and ‘i’m not gonna make shit easy on you, i’m gonna make them feel weird’. What a baby lmfao    -His assault joke rubbed me the wrong way. I know Jeff’s schtick is the whole “I was in jail for a few months and I was a drug dealer I’m big and scary” blah blah blah. Listen, I’ve met men that have been in jail longer (he was in for only 4 months he once said I think) and had worse upbringings than he did and HAD to do some of the shit Jeff was doing (which lemme remind yall, was on his own accord). The men that I know that have lived similar and worse lifestyles than Jeff, would never and I REPEAT NEVER, make a joke about assaulting a Woman over “fucking my friend over”, when the situation was what it was. Which was: an exposé, basically. That’s some petty shit, it’s for the birds. (Also, Todd and Jay’s jokes about the assault joke? Ain’t it. They were just as bad as Jeff’s original joke.)    -Do y’all know what Jeff’s been to jail for? He tried to assault someone that worked at a 7-Eleven after he and his dumbass friends were fucking around in the store and got yelled at and ended up assaulting a woman walking by.     -He also talked about her mental health issues. Maybe he wasn’t talking about her specifically, but it was REAL specific. He said that it was crazy that a “psychopath” that’s been in a mental hospital still had a platform on youtube. That they shouldn’t have one. Trisha made a really good point of, “some could say the same about your time in jail.” Because they could. And mental health can be managed. So can your outrageous anger issues, Jeff. This was really ignorant on his part.     -I also want to remind everyone about the time he said he didn’t understand how men could be sexually harassed. That all you had to do was say no.    -He says he likes to “make things awkward” and make everything a joke when really he’s just being ignorant and doesn’t want to get real hate when he gets inevitably called out

Trisha’s “Dirt”:

   -Trisha doesn’t know anything that the rest of us don’t. We’re just all IGNORING it. Why? Bc David’s charming and Todd and Jeff are pretty? Ridiculous. This is the last vlog squad post i’m going to make because I’m done. So the following is going to be a rundown on the “dirt” on them that made me come to the decision that I wouldn’t be supporting them anymore. I’ll also put my own thoughts and comments underneath in case y’all are curious. Staying silent about these situations is the same as complacency.     -Brandon Calvillo: Covered this but to reiterate, he dated a high schooler and slept with her/dated her knowing her age. He then lied about it in a video to cover his tracks.           *I am well aware that she was months from being 18. This doesn’t make it okay. What does a 26 year old have in common with a 17 year old? And just because this is the first girl we know about, doesn’t mean she’s the first at all or even the last.     -Durte Dom: He was accused of assault at vidcon.            *This hasn’t been confirmed. But it also hasn’t even been discussed. This girl is getting hate from vs stans and the vs have stayed silent. I can understand not wanting to show attention to people who make accusations for clout, but assault is serious and should at the Very Least be acknowledged privately or legally bc it could be considered slander. Don’t let your fans (or your friend’s fans) do your dirty work.      -Jeff Wittek: He has major anger issues. Makes jokes about assaulting women after actually having assaulted one in the past (accidentally but doesnt take away from what he did) and has made jokes about sexual harassment against men not being viable             *tbh he has a “pretty white boy complex”. Meaning he knows that he can say and do what he wants and most people will let it slide bc he’s a pretty white boy. No education needed.     -Jason Nash: Is friend’s with a predator, is quite possibly setting an awful example to his kids, namely his daughter.          *Listen. I’m a feminist, a woman should be able to decide what to do with her body after she turns 18. But being groomed and hit on by grown ass men when you’re barely legal, ain’t it. If you want to and feel ready, there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it BUT 9.9 times out of 10, that fucks a woman up in the future. One day, she is going to see her dad hitting on a 19/20 year old Tana and see that her dad’s  26 year old best friend dated a 17/18 year old and lied about specifics and might think that’s normal and how men should treat her. I won’t support that shit.

And as for all the other member’s of the vs, they either don’t care enough about what their friends or friends’ friends are doing, or they’re not bothering to even consider it’s happening and that isn’t cool either. 

Be better. 

As for Trisha, she’s had her own faults and fuckups, no doubt about it. I’m not a big fan of her content but i FELT for her. Her name has been dragged through the mud because of this more than anything else and it doesn’t sit right with me when her only real fuckup in THIS situation was bringing the ex and kids into it the way she did. Everything else either could have been avoided or she had a right to say to the public since they put everything about the relationship out in the open as much as she did. If Jason and David had reached out and admitted their own mistakes and asked her to stop talking about them online the way she was, she probably would’ve chilled out. What happened, what they and their fans (us) have done has been nothing short of traumatizing, no doubt. The way these 30 year old boys (Jeff, Todd, Scott and Jay) are reacting to her? They’re the real joke if we’re being honest.

Note: I’d also like to say that if you do still support them and have differing views than I do, I’ll respect you and your views no matter what. Everyones entitled to their opinion and thoughts. These are just mine.

I just think that s1 really wanted us to think that there was more between them when they were in hs for “the drama” or whatever while s3 was like, “they hate fucked in the locker room twice” and then s2...tbh idk wtf s2 was I don’t claim that shit but s1 f*lice and s3 f*lice were two very diff schools of though lmfao

i really dont think s1 was trying to go that deep with them. like... they only had one solo scene and the main point to be taken away from it was that alice was obviously from the south side and used to be a serpent. the only reference to any relationship the two of them had beyond that (which is fucking hilarious now considering they werent even in the damn gang at the same time according to the flashback) was fp calling her hot which like... any person with eyes would be able to say. 

the only other scene they had was the dinner where alice was trying to get info out of fp to prove he was a murderer. and listen. i love me an enemies to lovers trope as much as the next bitch CLEARLY. but my god. and the fact that nothing alice did in season 1 against fp gets brought up in their ~relationship~ is just real convenient. but i guess “lol so one time maybe i sent archie and veronica to break into your trailer to see if you killed jason and when they tried telling me you didnt i was like nah you definitely did” isnt great pillow talk

Will Byers had gone missing and it was your fault. At least, that’s what you convinced yourself was the truth. You asked Jonathan Byers to take your shift that night, unknowing to you that this would play a role in Wills disappearance.

The entire town was talking about it, search parties had been called and parents everywhere were on edge.

You pulled on your skirt, tucking your t-shit into the waist band. Your eyes were sore and puffy from crying, all you could do was think about how you played a role in all of this. You jogged down stairs, almost making it out the door before your mom ordered you to put a cardigan on.

“It’s cold out honey, it’s not the summer anymore.” She pestered as you pulled the sweater on hurriedly making your way out the door.

It was weird how quickly things seemed to go back into the normal swing of things, quickly forgetting about the Byers boy who had gone missing just a few days ago.

You went through the motions of taking your books from your locker, although you weren’t mentally there. Your mind wandered, thinking about all the kidnaping cases that had happened in the past, all with gruesome ends.

“Y/N?” A hand waved in front of your face, snapping you out of your trance. “What’s wrong with you, we’ve been taking to you for like 5 minutes.”

Carol leaned against the locker next to yours, Tommy by her side. Steve joined the gathering that had started by your locker, closing you in.

“Guess who’s got the house for the rest of the week.” Steve said in a song song voice, dangling his house keys in your face.

“How can you guys think about getting drunk at a time like this?” You asked, slamming your locker shut.

“Your such a prude.” Carol snapped with an eye roll. “You know Jackson Manson took her out the other night and she wouldn’t even kiss him?”

“Sorry I don’t want to hook up with random people.” You retorted, folding your arms across your chest.

“You won’t even kiss anyone, that’s not hooking up.” Carol groaned, annoyed with your attitude.

“Look, I don’t care what you guys do in your down time, but I’m not comfortable with that kind of thing...especially with someone I hardly know.” You explained, irritated with her judgement. “And who names their kid Jason when their last name is Mason?”

Steve was about to interject but darted forward as Nancy and her friend Barb walked down the hall, engrossed in their study notes. Steve snatched the notes from Barbs hands, much to her dismay, and reassured them they would do fine on the test.

In all honesty, you only hung around Carol and Tommy because of Steve, who had become your cousin through marriage. He urged you to hang out with his friends, considering you didn’t know anyone else, save for a few people from work.

As Steve rambled on about his plans for this fine Tuesday eveneing, Carol interrupted.

“Oh god” She said, her voice filled with disgust. “Look.”

The group of you turned toward Carols gaze, your heart sank as you watched Jonathan post a missing child poster up on the school bulletin.

“That’s depressing.” Steve said.

Your feet carried you toward him, your mind disconnecting from your body, only guilt dictating your every move.

“Hey.” You said, barely a whisper.

“Hey.” He replied, his tired eyes trailing over to the group of people staring at your interaction, then back to you.

You stood there for a moment, an uncomfortable silence keeping you frozen in the moment, just watching one another.

“I just wanted to apologize.” You finally admitted, looking down at your hands.

He raised an eyebrow at you, confused by your apology.

“For what?” He asked, his body now completely turned toward you.

You released a shaky sigh, fidgeting with one of the rings on your thumb.

“It’s just...I don’t know...” you hesitated. “If I hadn’t called you to take my shift, maybe ... maybe Will wouldn’t have gone missing.”

Jonathan held your wrist, just for an a moment before dropping it.

“It’s not your fault, it’s mine.” He said, his voice lingered in the air.

You shook your head from side to side, you hand brushing against his.

“It’s not your fault either...I guess it’s just out of our hands.” You said before regretting it, realizing that it probably wasn’t the most comforting thing to hear.

“Could I...help you?” You asked. “With the flyers I mean, and to help you search for him.”

A small smile lifted the corners of his mouth. “Sure, that’d be really nice.” He said giving you a small nod.

The bell rang and the two of you said your goodbyes, a small glint of hope sparked within you.

Wednesday.

“Steve, why are you guys still waiting around?” You asked, approaching his car. “I told you I could walk home.”

Steve gave you a look, he was clearly upset about something as his jaw was set in a hard line.

“Your little boyfriend, Jonathan, is a creep.” He spat, his eyes narrowing into a squint. “Nicole caught him developing some of his photos, he took pictures of Nancy through my window.”

Your eyes widened as Steve’s accusation, confused by it really.

“What are you on about?” You asked as you hair blowing into your eyes, the wind picking up.

“Oh look here he comes now.” Steve announced, clearly making a show out of it. “Hey man, Nicole here was telling us about your work.”

Jonathan gave a confused look, evidently nervous. Tommy grabbed his bag and tossed it to Steve, much to Jonathan’s protests.

“Steve, give it back to him.” You urged, trying to grab the bag from his hands. Steve pulled out a pile of photographs, taunting Jonathan. “Steve your acting like a prick.”

“Look.” Steve said, tossing the photos to you. “He got some pictures of you too.”

You looked at the photo that Steve presented to you, caught off guard, you gave a perplexed look to Jonathan.  As you flipped through the others, you could feel the tips of your ears become hot. There was a lot of pictures of you, just lounging in one of the chairs, not paying attention to anyone else. You finally came across the Nancy photo, her back to the window as she took of her soaked shirt.

You held them to your chest looking up, staring at Jonathan.

“We gotta get rid of the perverts toy.” Steve said, grabbing Jonathan’s camera and smashing it against the cement.

You clasped your hand to your mouth, gasping as the pieces splinters at your feet.

Tommy snatched the photos from you and handed them to Steve, like an obedient dog. Steve tore the photographs apart and threw them at Jonathan, he flinched in response.

Steve and his lackey’s sauntered off, leaving you and Jonathan alone.

“I’m so sorry.” You muttered, your eyes wide with shock.

The two of you quietly picked up the broken pieces of his camera, the sound of his hitched breathing mixed with the swirl of leaves.

“I didn’t mean to be creepy.” He whispered, his voice shaking. “I swear I’m not some voyeur, I just thought they made good pictures.”

“Jonathan, you don’t have to explain yourself.” You interjected. “I know your not malicious, really don’t worry about it. I’ll talk to Steve, he’s a complete idiot sometimes but he’s got a good heart.”

Jonathan scoffed, shoving the torn pieces into his backpack.

“Oh yeah, real stand up guy.” He said sarcastically. “Why do you hang out with him anyways? You don’t fit in with their group, you seem like you actually have a soul.”

You stood up, brushing off the dirt from your knees.

“My Mom married his uncle, like a year ago, and we moved here to be closer to his family’s business.” You clarified, your mouth forming a tight line. “Not exactly an ideal situation to be in.”

Jonathan, now on his feet, gave you a shrug. “So your an honorary Harrington then?”

“It’s my cross to bare.” You quipped, hand placed over your heart dramatically.

“Oh, I printed some more flyers at lunch.” You added, reaching into your bag for the flyers, “I thought we could post them around town.”

Jonathan beamed at your gesture, he was flattered by your kindness. 

“Thank you...for everything.” He said in shy voice.
