OOf, I've been out of it, so enjoy a self indulgent new character from me. Meet King and his two kits Cassia and Acacius. My internet decided to go haywire so I had nothing to color drop or reference from, so he is accidentally very loosely based on his dragon counterpart(kits as well). He's just another struggling father to add to my ever growing collection, someone please stop me.

          a gift for @aylacassia,
note: before obvious chaos and reality bending
Tumblr media
“Are you enjoying the evening?” It’s not often he talks to the other vampire senators outside of Senate business, and well, this still revolved around that. His question is frivolous yet somehow rather imposing, arms crossed as he indifferently stares across at the militant state Rome had swiftly become since the vote had been cast. The Cardinal wonders if it was truly worth it to have been so blase and lump his vote in with the crowd, he’s always been rooting for vampires to conquer as successors on this imaginary food chain system that Rome has but this... was pushing it.

"whatever we deny or embrace" - fic (part 4)
Tumblr media
/shows up four years later with zero explanation and an old moodboard
title: whatever we deny or embrace verse: queer Rogue One/f!Cassian AU (5/6) characters: Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso; Jyn/Cassian stuff that happens: Cassia and Jyn navigate their relationship after the destruction of the Death Star (originally posted as a stand-alone fic, cleaned up for this) previous sections: prologue, part one, part two, part three
PART FOUR
Jyn didn’t begrudge the Rebels their victory celebrations, which extended for several weeks, at least at night. She didn’t even think of herself as separate from the Rebellion, exactly—not after Scarif.
It was just … crowded. Very crowded, considering that this particular cantina grew out of a skeletal base on Solis 2, where her team had just arrived with some soldiers and senators. And it was loud. Easily as loud as Massassi’s cantina. She could endure that, had endured it many times, but she didn’t want to. And this was not a time for doing anything she didn’t want to.
Searching for a discreet exit, Jyn must have betrayed some part of what she felt. She didn’t usually, and nobody seemed to be paying particular attention to her—she’d taken care to wedge herself behind Baze—but suddenly, she felt Cassia’s mouth near her ear.
Only the habits of years kept Jyn motionless. Her blood ran cold, or maybe hot; she couldn’t tell the difference.
“Do you want some fresh air?” Cassia murmured.
Jyn tried not to look too grateful.
“Yes.”
Cassia shifted in some unobtrusive way that placed her at Jyn’s side, hand warm against her back. Jyn suspected the last was her imagination, since her leather vest hardly registered slight changes in human temperature. And Cassia ran cold, anyway. Jyn had shared her bed enough times (eleven) to know that it wasn’t some Cassia façade.
Platonically shared her bed. Jyn had even managed to platonically pin Cassia to the bed and straddle her hips, which took some doing.
Cassia made a smooth excuse that Jyn didn’t bother listening to, but which everyone accepted. More or less. Baze actually smiled—it was faint, but unmistakably a smile. That struck Jyn as deeply suspicious. But he didn’t say anything, so neither did she, instead letting Cassia maneuver them outside without incident.
(Jyn couldn’t remember the last time she’d tolerated anyone maneuvering her at all. Well, anyone else, since they’d done the same thing back on Jedha. Cassia might just be an exception. Sometimes.)
As soon as the doors snapped together behind them, Jyn’s tensed muscles relaxed. Cassia drew a breath of the base’s crisp, cool air.
“That’s better.”
Jyn shoved her hands into the pockets of her jacket. “Beer and sweat not your favourite smells?”
Cassia kept her—their—quarters in pristine order, regardless of where those quarters happened to be. Jyn herself couldn’t have cared less, but once she realized that Cassia didn’t expect her to assist in any meaningful way, she shrugged off her initial irritation. If Cassia wanted to soothe herself with color-coordinating her clothes, fine. Jyn soothed herself with cleaning and loading her blasters, after all.
(By now, she didn’t just possess a nonzero number of blasters, but several, only two of which originally belonged to Cassia. That alone would nearly have made everything worth it, and … she had quite a bit more than that alone.)
“No, not really,” said Cassia dryly, heading down a set of stairs that led to a narrow steel platform beneath the main portion of the cantina. This particular base consisted almost entirely of platforms, square buildings, and assorted stairs and ramps, all in featureless grey metal. Jyn gathered that it had been cobbled together out of some abandoned Imperial installation. Or a Republic one, maybe. It had railings and everything.
“I figured.”
“And too many people,” Cassia added, her tone neutral.
Jyn eyed the back of her head. “I thought you were a … people person.”
“Really?”
Thinking back over the … five weeks they’d known each other, Jyn supposed it could go either way. Cassia always had something to say, but she wasn’t exactly outgoing. “You’re good with them.”
“When I have to be.” She stopped and leaned against the platform’s wide rail while Jyn caught up. “I like the quiet.”
That pleased Jyn in an indistinct way she didn’t care to interrogate. She settled for a murmur of agreement.
Suitably enough, they continued side-by-side without talking, making their way to the furthest wall. There they remained visible from the cantina, if anyone chose to look, but at least didn’t stand beneath the noisiest part of it.
It was nice. Jyn, not overburdened by self-consciousness, felt just enough of it to avoid saying so. But she enjoyed everything: the coolness of the air, not heavy like Yavin 4’s, the easy silence, the mingling light of Solis’s moons, the smaller two eclipsing the largest into a slice of gold. She had two blasters in her holsters, no enemies in the vicinity, and Cassia at her side, their limps all but gone. Without even touching her crystal, Jyn felt calm and contented in a way she very rarely experienced, far beyond her usual stoicism.
She didn’t look at Cassia. They shared quarters, a bed, and most hours of day and night, but while Jyn welcomed the eagerly yielding Cassia that now and then shattered her nightmares, she took care to separate dream-Cassia from the actual woman. At this point, she already had seen Cassia a) younger-looking and beautiful in her silly parka, b) drenched from hair to boots, c) striding past in an Imperial uniform that fit her much better than the Alliance one, d) collapsing in Jyn’s arms, and e) swathed in shadows under Jyn’s body. She didn’t feel the need to try herself further by adding gilded in moonlight to the rest.
Not that she’d be able to avoid it, really.
“Have you seen Bodhi?” Jyn asked.
“Yes, in the cantina,” said Cassia, apparently unperturbed by the broken silence. “Not in the best mood. I think he ran into Skywalker.”
“Again?” Jyn didn’t mind Skywalker in himself: rather liked him, in fact. He’d personally asked her if he could name his squadron after her team, and had possibly less patience for cowards and fools than she did. But for whatever reason, he and Bodhi had taken an almost immediate dislike to each other. “I don’t even know what they find to disagree about.”
Cassia paused. “Skywalker is attractive enough, isn’t he? I’m not the best judge.”
Raw determination kept Jyn’s eyes on the blotted moon. She blinked several times at it. “You think that’s why—?”
“A factor, perhaps,” Cassia replied. “I can’t say for sure, of course. It could be nothing more than Skywalker hating Imperials without much … discrimination.”
Jyn could understand that, in general. She rarely saw one without wanting to club them into a bloody corpse. But not Bodhi, who had defected and suffered and sacrificed, whatever he might have been or done before.
“We all hate Imperials,” said Jyn. “Does he think he’s special?”
Cassia’s hand tapped idly along the railing. Jyn would bet real credits she had a frown on her face.
“Maybe.”
Jyn would have blamed her uncommunicativeness on right, she’s a spy, if not for the fact that Cassia would tell her pretty much anything unclassified, if asked. She just rarely volunteered it, so Jyn—or someone, but usually Jyn—had to drag it out in pieces.
“All right, what did they do to him? Do you know?”
“Killed and burned his family’s bodies,” said Cassia. She paused. “I am not sure which happened first.”
A few moments passed without a word from either. Above them, somebody laughed, followed by others, before their voices faded into some other part of the room.
“Fuck,” Jyn muttered.
Cassia shifted again. “Don’t tell anyone.”
“No,” said Jyn automatically. “That’s not—that’s not fair to Bodhi, but damn.” She’d hoped it was a bit more mundane.
“None of us are fair to each other,” replied Cassia, her voice still more even. “Not always.”
That snapped Jyn’s resolve. She glanced over her, but Cassia was staring ahead, her back a straight line from her shoulders to the cybernetics hidden under her skin. Attraction seemed rather besides the point.
“I know,” said Jyn quietly.
She suspected it might be as close to an apology as Cassia got. Since I’m not used to people sticking around was as close to one as Jyn had offered, she decided she’d take it.
Expression softening, Cassia turned her head to face her, amusement flickering into her face. “Anyway, I think the unfairness has gone both ways with them.” She cleared her throat. “As it were.”
Jyn didn’t mean to smile, but she did, anyway. “You’re never going to forget that, are you?”
“I never forget anything,” Cassia said.
Jyn shook her head. “Then I’ll expect you to remember my birthday every year.”
Cassia’s low, startled laugh altogether banished Bodhi and Skywalker’s whatever-it-was. “If I know where you are.”
“Shouldn’t be hard,” said Jyn.
The amusement faded into something else, sweeter and more cautious. “You’re staying? You mean, indefinitely?”
Jyn thought of a good half-dozen responses, alternately snide and earnest. But she only said,
“Yes.”
Cassia’s face broke into a bright, dimpled smile. Jyn, who had not expected that particular attack, felt dazed. Just a little. Physical awareness flooded back, or became relevant again. The golden moonlight caught in Cassia’s eyes, her skin, even her dark hair, gleaming from within. The hazy glow of it gentled her features without weakening them, her face warm and pretty rather than starkly beautiful. For all of that, her eyes fixed on Jyn with the same elated intensity that she remembered from the not-apology in the hangar, and after.
Speaking of unfair—
“How long do you think we’ll stay here?” Jyn asked. “Assuming it’s not classified.”
Cassia seemed puzzled but undisturbed. “Not very long. We want to keep the small bases as unobtrusive as possible, and the rest will be scattering from Yavin 4 soon. We’ll need a new central base.”
“Colder than Massassi, I hope,” said Jyn, vengefully.
Cassia looked betrayed. Her smile turning crooked, she twisted back towards the base below them, though without the rigidity of before. “You’re the one who’ll suffer if we get stationed there.”
“I’ll live,” said Jyn. “Not all of us are delicate flowers.”
“Really, Jyn?”
Jyn grinned openly, leaning against the platform’s side. “So what about you? Are you hoping for anything in particular?”
Cassia’s fingers splayed out on the railing, then grasped it. She wet her lip.
“A few things,” she said.
Jyn gave up.
“Cassia?”
When Cassia turned towards her, inquisitive, Jyn didn’t wait long enough for fear. She stepped forward, curled her fingers into Cassia’s jacket, and kissed her for the second time.
Cassia’s lips parted in what Jyn assumed to be surprise rather than invitation, but within a moment, her mouth was pressing back, as soft and careful as in the turbolift. They’d finally circled back, finally—and then her hands slid about Jyn’s waist, up her back. It was so little, but Jyn felt drunk, heady and flushed all over, more than she’d been capable of before, maybe more than she’d been capable of in her life. She had her arms about Cassia’s neck again, fingers walking against the nape and threading into her hair, smooth and soft instead of stiff with sweat and blood. She pressed closer when Cassia tilted her head to slant her mouth against Jyn’s, both panting.
No, Cassia was saying something, whispering against Jyn’s lips. Cassia and her words; she always had something. Even now. A very tiny bit exasperated, Jyn slowed and forced herself to pay attention.
“Jyn,” Cassia murmured. “Jyn, Jyn—”
Jyn almost shuddered, fingers clutching in Cassia’s hair. She’d never kissed anyone who knew her name. Anyone who knew her at all. And this wasn’t anyone—she—
“Cassia,” she breathed.
They stepped back for air, because they had to. Inevitably, that first moment was awkward. Neither knew quite what to say, and it’d been so much even though it was nothing they hadn’t done already. But Jyn took in Cassia’s rumpled hair and swollen mouth and half-shy smile, and could only think, again.
A small breeze rustled past. Cassia shivered.
Jyn had too much self-respect to say I’ll warm you up, or anything of the sort. To go by Cassia’s flush and thinly-veiled pleasure, her face said it for her.
“That one of the things you were hoping for?” Jyn asked.
Cassia could have said something clever, or beautiful, or wry: Jyn didn’t doubt that she had it in her. But she just laid her hand against Jyn’s cheek, her eyes wide, almost stunned, as she smoothed the fringe aside.
Cassia leaned down and kissed her again.

y’know what? screw it. i’m doing a thing where i explain how the song “our word” from 36 questions fits my dsmp ocs cassia and wilt. i’ll also give you the vision i see in my head that i see when i listen to this song while thinking about these twins. here we go:
warnings: abuse is mentioned/kind of discussed, there is mentioned violence (it’s...the dsmp), self-harm is implied/discussed, drug use is mentioned (but with minecraft potions), and a suicide attempt, and what was going through that person’s head during it, is also discussed. this is also going to be rather long.
this is about the dsmp characters
how i imagine this even happened: it’s sung from cas’s pov to quackity (the dude asked about the twin’s childhoods and about how the pair had been doing since coming to the smp. wilt had told q to ask cassia because “she’ll be far more honest about it”)
“When I was a little girl,
like really little, like eight or so,
I was playing in my father’s study,
a place in the house I wasn’t supposed to go.
My father fancied himself a sailor,
his study was filled with nautical decor.
He kept a boat in a bottle on the top of a shelf,
and it shattered on the ground when I slammed the door.”
cas refers to an incident where she accidently broke something of her father’s while the twins were home alone once.
“I told my mother everything.
I told her I was so, so sorry.
She told me ‘Don’t cry,
when he comes home tonight,
we can make everything okay.’”
to be more accurate, replace ‘mother’ with ‘sibling’ and replace the she/her pronouns with they/them. now, one thing to note about the twins is that their parents weren’t the best people (putting it lightly). while their mother was better than their father (who was verbally and emotionally abusive to both of them), she still wasn’t great. the best description i could give of her is that she’s emotionally neglectful (as well as being the type of person to go “you can’t be depressed; you have such a good life!” and “if you’re depressed, just be happy!”; trust me, this will be shown later). due to that description, cas’s mild panic at what had happened is a bit more understandable. she was afraid of getting yelled at and getting in trouble. she goes to wilt, looking for comfort and to apologize for what happened. of course, wilt had a plan...
“‘This is all we have to say:’
‘We don’t remember a boat in a bottle,
it must have fallen off it’s shelf alone!
We know you loved it,
we’re so sad it’s broken,
but neither one of us was even home!’
And it’s our word,
yes our word,
against his.”
now, i feel like wilt just told their father “Wait, something broke? Well, me and Cas were playing outside, and we didn’t hear or notice anything. It’s not our fault!” either way, whether he believed what happened or not, wilt took control of the situation and most likely took the blame for the event. the seeds of cassia’s dependency on her sibling were sown early on in their childhood...and it’s something that wilt won’t take true notice of this until the pair gets to the smp...
“So I hid screw-ups from my father,
Made up school awards to please my mom.
Whatever made the steak taste better,
whatever kept the waters calm...”
As the pair grew into their teens and into Very early adulthood (age 18), wilt became known by their parents as being a troublemaker; a Bad Kid. they gain mostly negative attention from their parents (mostly their father). on the contrary, cassia grows up feeling like she has to be the straight-A student; the Golden Child, The Favorite. she tries to keep as little of her parents’ negative attention as possible. to keep the peace...
“I was told to keep their secrets,
and in turn they’d keep mine.
As I got older, I got dumber.
I couldn’t help but cross the line.”
as the twins grew up, they continued to help each other by keeping each other’s secrets (mostly wilt keeping cas’s and getting in trouble). as the pair travelled the world, they came across the dream smp. they not only joined the server, but soon joined l’manberg as well, both as medics. cas refers to this as one of the biggest mistakes she’s made; one that made her “dumb”...
“Three times I nearly wrecked my life...
Three times I nearly came to ruin...”
there were three times on the server where cassia was pretty sure she was almost doomed:
-before the final control room, wilbur told the twins that he needed to take one of them into battle (not both of them; he’s not stupid. that’s far too dangerous...). cassia isn’t good at combat and has a horrible fear of serious confrontation anyway. as much as she wanted to help the revolution, she was terrified of actually going into battle.
-cas witnessed tubbo leaving to go to pogtopia and even helped him sneak out, but realized that schlatt seemed suspicious of her and began to panic. due to schlatt’s behavior towards niki and the fact that the only real reason that he was being “nice” to her was because he didn’t want to piss off the only doctor “willing” to work with him... yeah, making this dude mad was not something cassia wanted to do.
-during the exile arc, cas and wilt had finally managed to get dream to allow them to visit tommy, just to make sure he was okay (y’know, doctor and therapist and all that). cassia was the first to visit, doing a bit of a (mental) wellness check. during her visit, she noted on tommy’s file that he had “injuries of an unknown and suspicious origin.” that note was meant to be for wilt’s visit the next day, where they would check up on him, take care of any injuries, and try to gauge what the general safety of the area is as well as tommy’s health. when she left, dream caught a glace at her notes and started acting...weird around her on the walk back. cas, with her fear slowly climbing, rushes back to her office and tells wilt to get there quick and explaining the situation.
“Three times went crying
to my parents,
who said they’d make it go away.
Yes, this is all we have to say:”
during each of these, wilt promises to help; promises to make it go away.
“‘We never rented a house in Sedona.
We didn’t see Camille the day she died.
We haven’t been on our boat in some years now
so we don’t care what you found inside.””
for each of the statements:
* “We never rented a house in Sedona”-wilt took cassia’s place during the revolution, leading them to die in the final control room by dream’s hands. but hey, cassia’s safe, right?
* “We didn’t see Camille the day she died.”-wilt tells schlatt that cas just sent tubbo to get potion materials, and to leave her alone about it.
* “We haven’t been on our boat in some years now so we don’t care what you found inside.”-wilt tells dream that cas’s notes are none of his business; that it’s doctor-patient confidentiality. they tell him that they don’t care what he saw because it’s none of his business anyway.
“And it’s our word,
yes our word,
it’s our word,
yes our word,
against theirs.”
things end (relatively) well for the twins. but, after each event, cassia’s anxiety (and self-hatred, especially after exile) begins growing.
“Somebody was paid
to make it go away.
Everyone was paid
to make the problems go away.
Doesn’t matter who gets screwed,
or who is blamed,
or what you need to do
to clear your name.
An inconvenient truth
can be easily erased.”
this section of an animatic would show how things progress after doomsday. it shows the worsening of cas’s mental health as time goes on; her clear guilt over what happened to tommy during exile, believing she could’ve done more. she tries to continue on with her therapist job up until wilt leaves for las nevadas. as cas’s mental health continues to dip further and further, she tries to hide her problems from her twin; to prove she can take care of herself. after all, she’s a grown adult. she should be able to take care of herself by this point, right? She views her problems as an inconvenience to her sibling  (“An inconvenient truth can be easily erased”).
this next part is where cassia tells quackity about the time where she reached her lowest point…
“When I was twenty-six,
I was living in NewYork.
I developed some “Fun Habits”;
put my white blood cells to work.”
this is where the self-harm is implied. cas never Explicitly tells quackity anything, she only ever really goes “I’ll let you guess for yourself what I’m referring to.” at this point, she’s living alone, her sibling has moved pretty far away and she doesn’t have constant contact with them anymore (as well as not wanting to bother wilt anyway), and her mental health has pretty much tanked and her self-esteem is non-existent. yeah…she’s not doing well.
“I remember it so clearly:
I was home alone on a Tuesday night.
To level out, I popped some downers,
but couldn’t seem to get my mind right.”
cas, one night, was definitely not doing great. she tried to take some potions to see if anything would help, but things didn’t calm down or improve. and so, she decided to take a walk out to the oceanside…
“I drew a bath and slipped into it,
then suddenly became aware:
I couldn’t keep my head above water.
I took a final gasp of air.”
cas ends up accidentally falling into the ocean. as she realizes that she’s too weak to try and swim back up. she doesn’t even have the physical or mental strength to want to climb back up. so she simply decides to wait for her breath to finally run out.
“And as I lay there helplessly,
a million different thoughts came to me.
I saw my parents
hearing the news:
‘Your only daughter drowned today.’
I thought about what they might say…”
cassia, as her lungs begin to let go of the air that she’s still barely holding onto, begins to think about how her parents would react to her death. and what she believes their reactions to hearing about her death, and the fact that it was a suicide, would be, sort of says a lot about what she thinks about them and how they were growing up, in my opinion:
““Our daughter Judith?
No, she moved to Austin!
She’s very happy there!
Or so we hear…
She’s always been so god**mn independent.
The years go by and now we barely see her..””
this is what cassia believes her mother’s response would be. it shows how little her mother seems to really know about her daughter growing up (calling her independent, when cas was actually quite dependent on wilt), as well as refusing to believe her daughter could be depressed and suicidal, citing letters where her daughter claims to be happy. she even talks about how they haven’t seen cassia in a while…
““Our daughter Judith?
You must be mistaken!
You mean the girl we raised
as if our own?
We loved her so much,
she felt like our child!
But eventually we had to send her home…””
this is her father. the reason why he’s speaking as though cassia isn’t his daughter is because he’s basically disowned her and wilt. sure, their mother at least still refers to the pair as her children, but their dad…definitely isn’t anywhere near as “kind” as she is. he’s basically lying during this and pretending he really cares (“We loved her so much” “You must be mistaken!”). as for the last line, he tries to pretend that they sent the kids away for their own good, when in reality, the twins left because they had a bad relationship with their parents.
“It’d be their word,
only their word,
it’d be their word,
only their word..
on it’s own…”
at the end, just before cas started drowning, i feel like sam and puffy were the ones to pull her out and make sure she was okay. the two assume it was an accident, and cas doesn’t have the heart to tell the truth; that she needs help.
(also cassia still has three lives, so this wouldn’t have killed her permanently)
and so, that’s where the story ends here: with quackity being aware of the twins’s history and that cassia needs therapy!
yep, i really did a whole lyric explanation for how “our word” fits for cassia and wilt.

“The Leech... the fuckin’ leech slipped right on by again,” it’s not the Senate’s first encounter with the creature, the leech having slipped through the fingers of the last marshal who’d tried to incarcerate them. It’s ridiculous and Abel has never been one for failure, especially with duties that involve the Senate, scowling heartily and running his hands through locks as Senator Cassia approaches. She’d been a public victim of the creature and he was sure she’d not let them slip away a third time but with the hoard of vampires growing increasingly feral it’d be a difficult task to manage as of current.

Apple tart with chili-cardamom caramel
A tart-sweet apple filling, spiced with Ceylon cinnamon and fennel, layered on a robust, flaky crust, then drizzled with a warming, aromatic clear caramel. The spices are subtle, creating a play of complementary flavors with no resounding winner.
Releasing liquid from the apples ahead of baking serves two purposes: creating a crust that is crisp all the way through; and forming a base for the caramel, marrying the flavors of the topping and the sauce.
Recipe under the cut!
Patreon | Paypal | Venmo
Ingredients
Makes one 12” x 12” tart. Serves 4-6.
For the dough:
1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp kosher salt
100g salted non-dairy margarine (stick form)
About 3 Tbsp cold water
For the topping:
1 1/2 baking apples, washed, cored, and thinly sliced
1/2-inch chunk Ceylon cinnamon, toasted and ground, or 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (or substitute 1/4 tsp cassia cinnamon)
1/4 tsp fennel seeds, toasted and ground, or 1/4 tsp ground fennel
Pinch ground cloves
2 Tbsp vegetarian granulated sugar
Pinch salt
To assemble:
1/2 Tbsp non-dairy margarine, melted
For the caramel:
Liquid from draining apples
3 Tbsp sugar
3 green cardamom pods, crushed
1-2 dried red chilies, broken
With 1 chili, the sauce is to my taste warming without being detectably spicy. Increase chili as desired.
Instructions
For the dough:
1. Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut cold margarine into an even dice with a sharp knife and coat in flour (or cut margarine into flour with a pastry cutter).
2. Add water, kneading dough against the sides of the bowl, until it just comes together. Cover and put in the refrigerator to chill.
For the topping:
1. Wash apples, core, and slice thinly. Toss with spices, salt, and sugar and put in a sieve over a bowl to drain. Leave for about an hour, stirring once, until apples have released several tablespoons of liquid.
To shape:
1. While the apples rest, roll out dough into a rough rectangle on a generously floured surface.
2. Fold the rectangle in three widthwise, like an envelope, and then in half widthwise to form a square.
3. Re-flour the surface, if necessary. Roll out dough again into a large square about 1/4” (1/2 cm) thick. Brush the surface of the dough with melted margarine.
To assemble:
1. Arrange apples over the dough so that they overlap slightly, leaving a 1-inch (2.5 cm) border on all sides.
2. Fold the edges over the apples and press down on the corners to seal.
3. Put in the freezer to chill while preparing the caramel.
For the caramel:
1. Pour the liquid from the apples into a saucepan (preferably one with a light-colored bottom) and heat on medium-low. Add sugar and stir to dissolve.
2. Add spices and heat on medium, without stirring, until simmering. If sugar starts to stick to the sides of the pan, brush it down with a wet pastry brush.
3. Continue to heat, gently moving the mixture back and forth with a rubber spatula if you notice the color changing unevenly, until caramel is a light amber color. This will probably happen quickly, so watch closely.
4. Remove from heat and carefully dunk the bottom of the pot in a bowl of cool water to halt further cooking.
To bake:
1. Preheat your oven to 400 °F (205 °C) with the rack in the center. Bake the apple tart for 50-60 minutes, until crust is golden brown and apples are tender.
2. Drizzle with caramel and serve hot.

>:3c what if I added King and his kits into lore? This is born of the thought of Cyran having cousins, especially with Acacius being about the same age as him. Yay, King is making my little lore thoughts churn.(also no idea who Cassia and Acacius’s other parent is yet, still working on it all...)

a starter for @aylacassia, location: memorial for the six
Tumblr media
"Senator Cassia," Adrian's pulling the quiet and stern act as the memorial flies by; a typical circus of the Senate that he tends to dread. Grief stabs at his heart just the same but the Cardinal has never found comfort in joining a room full of weeping people to pay respects and as another hour churns on Adrian finds himself next to the Immortal, "What do you have to say of the rumors surrounding yourself?" A teasing jab, he'd seen the way others prodded and Ayla merely smiled and said nothing; it only made him curious and curiouser towards her survival and how she seemed to be the savior that allowed the Six to revert them to what was.

Full-color commission for NPlaysMC! These are Star Wars original characters! Daedra species belong to SlingBlade87.
Here we have a portrait of Demia Hadra's new family.
After the Clone Wars, Demia returns to her homeworld, and meets her future husband, Rylon, who's standing next to her. When they marry, Rylon takes Demia's last name Hadra to preserve her family line. And together they have five kids! Their names are (from left to right in the drawing): Aykan, Cassia, Eliri, Willow, and Halna.
Yes, Halna, their eldest son and first child, was named after Halna Gowen, NPlaysMC's OC 😊
Here's another commission I did with Demia and Halna Gowen: "Undercover mission" (of course it takes place long before the commission above)
I believe this is the most character-filled drawing I have done so far! And I really enjoyed drawing this loving family and all the kids especially <3
Daedra species, Demia Hadra (c) SlingBlade87
Rylon, Halna, Eliri, Willow, Aykan, Cassia (c) SlingBlade87, NPlaysMC
