CAR Artisan Chocolate, 1009 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, Score: 33/50
Pasadena has its own artisanal chocolate manufactory! CAR opened their chocolate café earlier this year. They make their chocolate bars in small batches at the same location. First, they source their high quality cacao beans from different regions and make sure that farmers are paid a high premium. They process the beans to bring out the unique flavor profile of the beans.
Score: 33/50
Food: 4/5 – The selection is limited but they bake their own croissants, Danish, and chocolate chip cookies. Even more impressive, they use their own chocolate in the pain au chocolat. Oh and they have avocado toast.
Coffee: 5/5 – They use Unity Coffee, a fair-trade roaster. The latte foam art was very nice. I was skeptical about the idea of adding chocolate to a latte but I was pleasantly surprised. First, the latte foam art was very nice. Second, they used dark chocolate so the drink wasn’t too sweet. Third, the drink was balanced. I could taste the chocolate and the coffee.
Wi-fi: 5/5 – Free, secure, unlimited. Ask for the password. It seemed stable and fast.
Ambiance: 4/5 – Nice looking, modern – wood counters, brick walls, plants, lots of lights. On the small side because the kitchen takes up so much space
Noise: 5/5 – Quiet
Plugs: 0/5 – Didn’t see any
Parking: 3/5 – Mostly free two hour parking
Comfort: 4/5 – Smaller tables, wood stools, not the most comfortable. But they have blinds for the windows and umbrellas for the outdoor seating.
Bathroom: 0/5 – Don’t think they have one
Art: 3/5 – Didn’t see any but maybe they’ll add some later
Tips: They sell chocolate bars and plants. You can order their chocolate from their website and even sign up for a subscription.

Since AI generated characters are copyright free, I propose every fan of Wonka and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to include the Unknown in their fanon, include him like a secret character, take him for a new addition into the lore and do whatever headcanon you want with him
