Havoc Marauder Interior
Someone made a post about this a while ago but apparently they de-activated so it is possibly lost to the mists of time. Here is what I put together for myself as a writing reference. Image heavy, meta heavy.
Last edit: 2023/11/03
Edits: Replaced garbage text layout with actual ship overhead. Realized the two concept art images face different directions. This likely explains the magical moving jump seats. Also added discussion of a cargo hold. Added discussion of ship dimensions (specifically length). Replaced old guesstimates with numbers from Dawn of Rebellion. Added commentary about the magical seat.
I think people under- and over-estimate the Marauder's interior potential. Given its overall size and intended use (transporting about 10-15 troops plus assorted equipment and providing air support in a forward area), there's not much room left for creature comforts.
Except the Batch aren't 10-15 people, they're 5, and the shuttle is referred to as modified numerous times. This leaves plenty of room to make assumptions and freeform. So, as to what we have actual, visual evidence for from episodes and concept art, here is a rudimentary floor plan:
Tumblr media
An important point about the two concept art images: they do NOT face the same direction. The top image faces to the aft/back of the ship, i.e. the tailgun. The second image faces to the fore/front of the ship.
Number key:
1: We know this is where the ramp and door are located from War Mantle and Metamorphsis.
2: We know about this upper storage area from Cut and Run
3: The access to the tail gun has changed visual from TCW s07e02 and various TBB episodes.
The Magically Appearing/Disappearing Seat
Tumblr media
In Cut and Run we have this moment with Hunter and Omega, but in most other shots each of these consoles has only one seat (eg. Tech and Echo in prior frames). I think this is actually NOT a magically appearing seat. I think it's the other console seat, because I suspect they can be moved. I base this one this shot from Replacements:
Tumblr media
That looks like a seat with a moveable base.
Obviously this is bad design for a ship which is doing barrel rolls and what-not, so I have to assume they're magnetically locked. Even if it is the same seat, in the shots right before that one above, Omega walks up and it's not in that space. So it's almost like the scene was longer and was shortened, and we missed a few frames of her or Hunter unlocking it and moving it over.
Meta Discussions
tl;dr: I think of the Marauder as a small fishing vessel or a van-conversion RV. You can put a lot into a small space if you get creative.
Bathroom I know the writers have made weird assertions there isn't one and omg they all smell gross from no hygiene but that makes zero sense. Soldiers are constantly under stress, they're getting injured, they need to stay clean when possible or they're going to get sick and die from a systemic infection in short order. Anyone who's glanced in the general direction of military history knows this. You can argue about clone expendibility all you want but the Batch minimally qualify in that regard, being Nala Se's pet project. Can you imagine losing one of them to a staph infection because there's nowhere for them to bust out some no-rinse antimicrobial soap or get their scalp clean? I'm not saying they'll be doing photoshoots in between missions (well maybe Hunter would ) but, come on. (And are you going to tell me Mr. Sensor Sensoria is cool with doing long hauls with 4 people who don't bathe? Just, no.)
But that much aside, anyone who's ever been in an RV, a commercial airliner, or a modest-sized sea vessel knows you can cram a bathroom into a tiny space. Yes, you're going to be spinning in circles doing things, but the benefits of a spot to clean up, manage waste, and tend to injuries far outweigh any other use of that area. So regardless of what the writers say, a transport without a minimal refresher (to use the SW term) is counter to the ship's designed use. It has to be able to accommodate Wrecker, of course, but in the end it can double as storage when not in use. There is zero reason to not have one. Added to this, we now officially have a length for the Marauder, which is 30.3 meters (see below). RVs which are 1/5 of that size have bathrooms. You're going to tell me the Marauder doesn't?
If nothing else, since the TCW episodes and the beginning of S1 have pointed to them going on extended deployments with long hops between stops, they're going to need one or constantly be handling waste in much less efficient and sustainable ways.
Added to all of this, it's specifically called a modified variant of an Omicron. We're probably meant to think this means 'Tech would like to fly faster than the GAR and ship engineers think is reasonable for a shuttle' but IMO it extends to changes like this as well. So, there's a refresher in there, feel free to choose a spot. Right across from the fold out racks is a good candidate because in most imagery it's just weapons storage, and there's an entire upper-deck space which you could use for that.
Galley Definitely not one of these. The Batch are eating rations any time they're not on Kamino. You can make an argument they (and all clone units) have cook kits for improvised eating in the field; in the Batch's case I suspect that's a given, as they'd just start doing it because who's going to stop them? Additionally, the sheer amount of rations you would need to carry around to feed Wrecker would be ridiculous. (Remember when Wrecker talks about never being full in S2E13? I feel like this is an indication they did and still do, in fact, have to improvise a lot of additional caloric intake. Hunter probably thought Cut and Suu's farm was a genius idea. 'Grow your own food! Wrecker will never be hungry again! Fucking incredible.' Then Tech got the ship impounded.) I think you can argue for one being added, like with the refresher. Do they actually need those weapons racks anymore? Definitely no. But, it's not on there by default.
Beds As you can see in the concept art above, there are at least 3 racks that fold out from the wall on the port side. They're at a minimum wide enough to accommodate Wrecker, they may also be long enough for him to not need to curl up (unclear because in this shot from Bounty Lost his knees are bent and he's hugging Lula):
Tumblr media
Three is a weird number since originally there were four of them. I figure the options here are:
The pilot/copilot/second row seats all look 100% more comfortable than the racks. We actually see Tech sleeping in one, at one point, so this has actual evidence to support it.
It's war time, they're never all asleep simultaneously. Someone is always flying the ship or on watch.
The floor is in effect the same as a rack, arguably preferable as you can't fall off it in the event Something Happens while you're out. So, one of them might actually be ON the floor sometimes.
They're not really intended to sleep on the ship for extended periods, but narratively we're lead to believe they have, many times, and needed to make adjustments to it as a result. Notice how quickly Wrecker whipped up a bed for Omega? IMO, not the first time they've done something like that--they did it for themselves first.
Cargo Hold Based on that screenshot of Omega above and the below shot from Cut and Run, the 'hold' of the ship is actually a storage area overhead, running the length of the ship. In that shot above of the rack, there are a series of yellow rungs which imply you can climb up somewhere on the port side. This is probably alternate access to that same overhead storage space.
In Cut and Run we see Echo, Omega, and Tech hide in it, coming back out from a slide-open hatch:
Tumblr media
Given Tech's height this is probably somewhere around 1.5m high.
We can be reasonably certain the hold isn't under the ship, or at least storage there is minimal, due to a couple of things:
In all instances where the hyperdrive has been pulled, it's under the ship on the belly, and takes up a reasonable amount of space. Eg., in Retrieval, here's a bunch of stuff which has been pulled from the ship:
Tumblr media
In instances where they're working on the ship from the outside, like in Cornered, the sides and belly never have panels open which contain empty space unless the ship's hardware have been removed to reach something:
Tumblr media
So, the cargo hold is probably that space on the top from Cut and Run. It doesn't have much room; reasonably speaking, the area with the weapons and sleeping racks was probably a cargo hold as well, they just converted it to a more general purpose area. (So IMO this is a stronger argument for putting a commercial airliner-style bathroom in place of the weapons racks, particularly once they bail on the Empire.)
Dimensions - updated 11/3/23 Dawn of Rebellion has a Bad Batch section, and indicates the Marauder is 30.3m in length, 36.65m wide (presumably with the wings extended, and 12.41m tall (this probably includes the central stabilizer).
I will edit this to update it as we get more pictures. Since the toys that I know of have no basis the show from an internal perspective I didn't include anything from them.

The First to Fall (In Love) [2]
Nikolai Lantsov x Fem! Reader---3.6K---SFW
<- Part I // Part III [Final]->
Summary: The picnic date wouldn't be the last you'd have with Nikolai, though your time together is limited, with the festival almost reaching its end. When it's time to decide to stay or leave, how much truth lies in your answer?

The rain muffled your steps climbing the stone staircase toward where Nikolai had invited you today. Luckily, only a drizzled had accompanied most of the way crossing the Sapphire Wing of the Grand Palace where all guests were accommodated toward the main building. The plants in the Queen’s garden shone with dew, raindrops gently kissing the flowers and leaves, your hair and clothes. It smelled just as you remembered from that first time you went inside, cocooned by an apple tree.
Back then, the blanket underneath you was a spotless shade of white, matching the shade of Nikolai’s gloves. Soft against your touch—not that you could compare them to his when your fingers grazed his when he passed you a pastry.
Ever since that meeting, you grew used to seeing random envelopes passed to you in each meal, usually breakfast, but sometimes even dinner. Of course, your principal advisor, Lady Stell, wouldn't mind you slipping late in the evening with the Rakvan King. And you have to admit that you didn’t, either.
Crossing down the hallways toward the library, the silent space echoed with a round of quick steps coming your way. With your head tilted, you poked around the corner, almost tripping against Nikolai, whose quick walk came to a halt.
“Saints!” He said, stepping back to avoid hitting you with the umbrella he was carrying. “You scared me, darling. How do you walk so silently?”
Ignoring his pet names, because he sometimes liked to sprinkle such words everywhere, you replied: “It’s easy to be stealthy when you’re striding down the hallway with an absent mind." Your chin signaled to the umbrella. "Are you going out, Your Majesty?"
His gaze swept your clothes, finding them only slightly darker above your shoulders, tiny drops of rain misting on your hair. “I was going to fetch you so you wouldn’t get wet. But the meeting extended too much, and didn’t make it on time.”
You smiled at him—a real gesture that sometimes slipped out your neutral features. It made his heart do cartwheels or something just as cheesy as described in some of the novels he read when his eyes got bored from scanning commercial deals and reports from each province.
“It’s alright, it wasn’t raining that hard still,” you muttered, not telling him that it would’ve been fine if he had decided to send any servant to escort you. He liked to do it himself, and you couldn’t deny him to show such gallant gesture.
“Still, let me get you a towel.” He gestured to one of his guards hovering nearby, which nodded and then disappeared in search of a butler or a maid. “We wouldn't like you to get sick." That way he couldn't visit as much, but Nikolai refrained from telling you that half-thought.
“I always get sick when I return to Rewfel,” you said as easy as breathing, and Nikolai felt his heart doing a free dive toward the floor. He had almost forgotten that the end of this makeshift festival was nearby, barely four days away. “The physician says it’s something about the humidity of the island and my respiratory system.”
You observed him, his expression morphing from open happiness to contained… something. “Are you alright?” you said, gentle fingers brushing his sleeve. “I’ll be fine.” You tried to reassure him.
Nikolai picked up on your intentions and gave you a strained smile that he thought was concealed enough, though not really—not for you who had been spending the evenings together at least every third day; in the library, where you both silently read until the candle burned out or your eyes got too blurry from sleep to continue; or a simple walk in the garden, with his fidgety, energetic fingers plucking flowers to offer them to you.
“It’s a peace offering,” he told you the first time, giving you a zinnia flower he produced from somewhere, when you were looking at the fireflies scooping over the lake, their wings shining like diamonds against the dying evening sun. “For our growing friendship.”
You had tilted your head, brushing the soft petals against your palm. A flower like the dusk, you thought, all red and orange and yellow. “I thought we had toasted for that yesterday.”
He grinned. “It makes me happy you remember our promise, Your Highness. But I’ve never been against showing my affection to the people I care for.”
Your steps had come to a stop, eyes glued onto him as the flower hovered near your nose, the sweet essence of it making you dizzy.
“What’s the matter?” Nikolai chuckled. “You look horrified.”
Turning your face away from him, you hoped the hair would cover the flustered state of your face. Was he out of his mind? Or was this just another strategy to win over your hand?
Even now, you weren’t sure.
Offering you his arm, Nikolai guided you to a rooftop that had been built to be a bell tower, now discarded to be his observatory that he couldn't use much due to the never-ending work that kept piling even after dinner.
The telescope was brushed to a corner ever since the first you came here, and the inexistent east wall let the breeze of the rain come in, making you sink deeper into your coat. Nikolai passed you a blanket he had laid onto a chair nearby, and you let him have half of it to cover his legs, even if it looked like he didn’t need it. To be fair, both the tea and the brandy were warm on the table in front of them, a thin serpent of smoke ascending toward the glass cupule in the roof.
"Have you finished the watercolor?" Nikolai asked you suddenly, hazel eyes flashing toward your face after he got tired of seeing the curtain of rain sheltering you both from the world.
You nodded. It was a humble size, portraying the way the sun reflected in soft waves against the water, sketched when he invited you to sail with him in the lake.
"Does it feel like home?" He asked you, looking at your hands grasping the helm, wind blowing your hair away from your smiling face.
"Better," you giggled, and he relished in such sweet sound. "I've never maneuvered a ship this big before."
Nikolai couldn't refrain to wink at you. "You just wait until you see my ships stationed at Os Kervo, lovely. They're the bigger sisters of these ones."
Both Palaces looked like fancy cakes, identical to the dessert slices Nikolai had invited you that evening, white and gold and in perfect smooth shapes extending over green forests, so much green you had to remember it somehow, there when back home was all yellow dunes and turquoise.
"They're surely breathtaking."
"Yes, quite so. But not as much as the one gracing upon me right now," Nikolai said, which made you look at him over your shoulder as if he had lost his mind. "The view, Your Highness." He gestured away, even if you could swear to feel his gaze when yours was focused on the horizon.
Strangely enough, you had grown fond of this country, maybe more than just the country, your mind popped into thought, eyes meeting Nikolai's.
“I would love to see the final result,” he commented, settling the kettle on the table after serving you a cup.
You didn't have time to register the implication of your words before they could get out of your mouth. "Well, you know where my chambers are."
Nikolai was taking a sip of brandy, the glass jolting when he leaned against his knees to cough.
You laughed to hide your embarrassment, but correcting yourself would've been even worse, knowing his endless teasing. Not even the dark evening could conceal the light pink blush dusting his cheeks. If it were any other situation, you wouldn't be allowed to wander with him without a chaperone; but your family was desperate to undo their mistake involving your older sister and Vasily, it was inconsequential to break one or two protocols.
"So, why don't His Majesty talk with me about his day?" you told him, ready to ease the sudden change in the ambiance, charged with something powerful, as if lightning was about to strike.
His eyes lighten up, only momentarily before looking away. “I wouldn’t like to bore you, My Lady.”
“Nonsense. I know royal duties are taxing and dull, but they’re necessary,” you said. “Sometimes you feel like there’s nobody who could understand what you’re going through, sitting up there on a throne.” You shrugged. “At least, that is what my older sister told me once. Those days I could barely see her with how many classes she had.”
Nikolai wished to be better at artistic drawing, so he could forever keep the fond smile decorating your face. "She would have been a delightful Queen," he said, his voice growing serious. "I'm sorry what happened to her. May I ask… where is she now?"
It was time to light up some oil lamps on the coffee table, but both of you let them be turned off, the darkness welcomed while you were laying the contents of your heart.
“I don’t know,” you uttered. “My parents didn’t let me contact her when she escaped from the carriage that would get her to a convent after breaking off the engagement. Honestly, I don’t think they know her whereabouts either.” A chuckle escaped your lips, but it was a sour sound. “Perhaps it’s for the best.”
He reached for your hand in the darkness, a whim of boldness strong enough to graze your arm down your wrist, giving you a gentle squeeze. “Please forgive me if I’m overstepping, but I would like to help you contact her again, if you so wish, of course.”
You chuckled. "I don't think it would be a good idea for the King of Rakva to approach her on my behalf."
It was too dark for you to see his cocky smile. “My dear, don’t worry. I have my ways around.”
“Of course you do. You always do,” you said, like the way he’d been burrowing inside your mind and heart little by little, with seemingly no effort whatsoever. However, the last part of the sentence was muffled by the bell chiming in the nearby distance, as in destiny’s call. It was only one bell away from dinnertime. "I should have told you this sooner, but you don't have to be sorry."
“Pardon?”
You looked at his broad shadow hunched next to you on the lounging sofa.
“About my sister,” you whispered. It was hard to hear you talk over the rain, so he had to scoop closer, trying not to distract himself with the lily’s essence of your hair. “It’s me the one who ought to be sorry.”
“I’d say it was a very understandable reaction. You don’t have to apologize at all, dear.”
"I judged you without bothering to even talk with you beforehand. It was childish of me, to make us carry this burden that doesn't even belong to us."
Nikolai chuckled. “It’s the way blood works, isn’t it? You’ll be forever tied to the family name—for the better or for worse.”
The silence expanded, longing for your answer, lips gently parting when you were ready to speak. “I’m proud of what you’ve accomplished. And I would’ve been, no matter if you were a Lanstov or not.”
He sat a little straighter, eyes widened. Trying to brush off the sudden shyness clinging to his bones, he said: “Oh, but darling, if I weren’t me, I wouldn't have ever seen that pretty glare of yours back at the lake."
You chuckled, temporarily distracted by his words. “I can’t with you,” you huffed, trying to muffle a laugh. “But I meant it. I apologize for how I acted back then.”
“We’re friends now, love. Please don't be." He learned to nudge his shoulder against yours.
You nodded, though he couldn’t see it in the darkness.
“I think we shall go, Your Majesty." You stood up, not knowing if your legs felt wobbly for so much time of being sitting, or if it was because of his proximity. Not that you would like to dwell much in an analysis of sorts, either. "Or else we will miss our bedtime.”
“I believe you’d look lovely the next day without your beauty sleep nevertheless," he commented, but put his hand away. Hearing the rustle of your dress moves away from his legs, your warmth slipping from his grasp once again. Instead, he grabbed the almost empty glass of brandy by pure memory of its location. "Would I see you later?"
Your steps faltered just where the threshold of the entrance must be. You only hummed back. “Perhaps I can show you my watercolor tomorrow after lunch.”
Nikolai was glad you couldn’t see his boyish smile. “I would love that, darling.”
 “Goodbye then, Your Majesty.”
“Nikolai,” he told you before you could get too far. “I think friends should drop the formal titles, don’t you agree?”
“As if you used mine often enough.” A couple of steps echoed against the quiet room, and for a moment Nikolai was about to sigh, defeated. “But yes, I agree, Nikolai. Have sweet dreams.”
“I sure will,” he replied, but you were too far away to listen.
Thankfully so, perhaps.
*~*~*~*
Days passed by quicker when you were fearing them not to. Nikolai had a hard time remembering such a time he felt this way, the only reminisce coming from the countdown when he chose to leave his life as Sturmhond behind to help his country. How he stepped into the deck of the Volkvolny and just gazed at it, a silent goodbye.
He didn’t wish to do the same with you.
The thought made him roll in bed, insomniac, ever since the first guest started going three days ago. With the space of the stables bigger with every horse and carriage that left Os Alta to probably not return.
You probably didn't feel the same—that you two had grown close enough to call what you had a friendship, but nothing more. The rift lay there still, and Nikolai wasn't sure if he could cross it in these thin floorboards, built-in longing glances when you didn't notice, in those stolen moments where he could pretend you two had a world of your own. In every tiny smile, he could get out your precious lips.
He heard the bell tower chiming in the night, mimicking his frenetic heartbeat, a reminder that time was always slipping between his hands. That this was the last night you would be sleeping under the same roof.
Nikolai sighed, defeated. The mattress dipped under his weight when he sat, back leaned against the headboard as he gazed into the dark as if would give him an answer. He tried with a lie first, to see what this lonely hour could reveal a way to unveil his feelings.
It doesn’t matter, he thought, closing his eyes. You’ll forget her.
With the watercolor you had painted of the Palace, your name scribbled in a corner, he doubted it could be possible. There weren’t many royals, and such families were meant to encounter one another in international scenarios. Could he withstand the eventual sight of you with another person taking your hand?
The mere picture of it made his heart squeeze in a painful grip.
You would be meant to leave after breakfast. And then not only his festivity to try and get a future Queen would have been useless, but the person he did want to be next to him for the rest of his days would be gone. It was much worse than simply imagining that there was nobody for him out there.
The light of the hallway blinded him, with Tolya jolting from his post outside his door when the knob turned open.
“Is something wrong?” he asked, but Nikolai shook his head, passing a hand through his hair.
“No,” he sighed. “I’m going to…" Nikolai trailed because he had no idea of what to do. "I'm going to take a walk, I think it will help me unwind.”
Tolya was about to follow him, but Nikolai turned to him. “It’s alright, Tolya. I’ll walk in the patrolled path, I promise. I would like to be alone for a while.”
Concerned pooled inside his friend’s eyes, but he nodded nevertheless. “As you wish.”
His senses were numbed enough to mindlessly walk down the path of the garden, insects singing in the distance after a rainy day, the moon sheepishly peeking through the clouds. Lamps were lit in the main path, so he didn’t have to worry about tripping, though he had wished to wear a warmer nightrobe.
Too far to return now, the Saints knew that if he turned, Nikolai would not return even if he regretted it for the rest of his life—he just wouldn’t make the courage for it.
The Sapphire Wing had such gems embedded into the cupule of the foyer, hence the name. It was lavish and private, with customizable rooms depending on the nobles and ministers visiting. The inner parts were for the ones who couldn't withstand the colder temperatures, and the rest were in the margins, with bigger balconies and windows to let the wind brush in.
Yours was close to the Private Gallery, if you ever wished to work on your art there, you wouldn't have to carry your paintings from too far away. Nikolai made his way there, too distracted to mind the fleeting glances the foreign guards gave him.
Finally, he stopped in front of a pair of cedar wooden doors that at such a moment seemed bigger than they were. But he couldn't linger for much, not with your guards watching him in their unrelenting watch. Welcoming the pressure, he knocked on your door before he could think straight and leave. What if you didn’t hear him the first time? Would he dare to knock again?
After some seconds, that surely felt longer as his heartbeat ran and slammed against his ribcage, he heard shifting at the other side, the muffled steps of bare feet that stopped in front of the door.
A crack opened, and you poked your head outside, eyes squinted with slumber despite your attempts at rubbing it away.
“Nikolai?” you told him, voice groggy. He felt his heart tugged against his ribcage at waking you up so late, especially when you were meant to wake up earlier than usual to get ready for your travel.
A journey he wished you didn’t take.
He smiled faintly. “Hey there, lovely.” A pause as your eyes stopped squinting, already used to the light in the hallway. “Can I come in? I’m having trouble falling asleep.”
You closed the door in his face, and he stepped backward, stunned.
You opened it, peeking through the ajar crack. “Wait there. Let me change,” you said, closing the door once again for at least five minutes before you appeared again, your hair undone from the nightly braids, a warm coat covering your nightgown.
Gesturing for him to come inside, you had lit up the lamps on the nightstand, and Nikolai could see your bed made a cocoon of warmth with blankets thrown around the pillows, like making a fort of some sort.
He had to push away the thought of thinking that he could shelter you even better than those pillows.
You sat against the headboard, telling him to sit whenever he wanted. Nikolai was too nervous to sit, but he obliged anyway, as he wished to be at your eye level.
“What’s the matter?” you told him, taking a sip of water to alleviate the uneven tone of your voice. “Are you alright? You look… red. Do you have a fever? I can talk to the physician—”
He breathed in your name, stopping your ramble. “I… I have to tell you something.”
You looked at him, expectantly. But he couldn't—he couldn't utter any words that were both almost slipping out his tongue and caught between his teeth; your brows furrowed, and Nikolai couldn't stop thinking that would be the look you'd give him once you had rejected him.
That you would leave, glad to be finally free from his overbearing grasp. And then Nikolai will be alone again, his pretty princess friend gone from all the places she used to be, a cold spot in the sofas, an empty chair across from him at the coffee table.
“Nikolai?”
He took a deep breath.
I’m falling in love with you. “Please don’t go,” he uttered, afraid to look at you. His fingers grabbed the end of the blankets that were still imbued with your warmth, but he was too far away from both your body and your heart to soak into it. "I think my life won’t be as pleasant as it is now that you’re here.”
A confession. Of sorts.
Your eyes were widened, hands fiddling with the hem of your coat. “Nik-Nikolai, I don’t know what to say,” you mumbled, looking at the luggage behind him.
Now he needed to be the cunning politician, even if he wished to drop the mask he was starting to slip over. “Your parents would love to create solid bonds with the Rakvan Crown, isn’t it? This could make amends between both nations.” He looked at you, reading the dim sparkle in your eyes.
This could make my sister come back—now forgiven, the memory pushed behind a dazzling royal wedding.
"And… I know you'd be a magnificent Queen to rule by my side," he told you, trying with his whole will not let his emotions paint his voice too euphoric, too hopeful. “You have a good heart and a sharp mind. If I had to repeat this entire festival, I would pick you again and again, only sooner.” He cleared his throat. "I'm sure we can be happy if you wish to try." As friends, he tried to say, but the words got stuck in his throat, any attempt to utter them dying in his mouth as you scooped closer.
You chuckled, crawling along the mattress until you stayed in front of him. Gently, your arms enveloped him, your head nuzzled in the crook of his neck to take in his essence.
“Let’s do that,” you told him, and he hoped you didn't notice how he shivered when your breath caressed his ear. "Let's be happy together.”

got any headcanons for Douglas or Harper?
yeas :3 I'll do some for both but mostly douglas if that's alright!! 2nd half for douglas + harper hcs below the cut bc this got a bit long I have Many Thoughts on Douglas . lil warning for references to the whole skrendel thing for douglas and mentions of harper's military past but all in passing and whatnot . nothing super angsty or explicit just going over stuff. All of that is below the cut tho
Douglas
he/him. bicurious/questioning and a little shy about it, but it's more of an open secret than anything. He is slowly realizing he likes guys a lot more than he likes women and he's unsure how to feel about it
Space is very pro lgbt it's very much normal for them bc there's all these different species and civilizations. why would any of them be cisheteronormative lol?? But really he's more embarrassed about actually feeling strong attraction and realizing he's a mushier person than he'd like to think. if that makes sense. like "oh no i am giggling like a schoolgirl over this guy what do i fucking do"
In general he doesn't like being seen as a vulnerable person, both physically and mentally. The idea of being in love for real is a little daunting to him...
I'd say he'd probably eventually land on bi or pan tho? Just with a heavy male/masc/etc lean.
early 30's? for his species? Late 20's?
From a moon with seas on it, think a less icy Europa! Currently lives on Port Terrene or a nearby territory.
His species is a delicacy for some alien races, mainly those living on the moon but he was basically fair game for anyone in that solar system so he booked it by sneaking onto a commercial spaceship to safety. Living in the background and slimy underbellies lead him to be where he is now.
He thinks that this is kind of funny by the way he has totally taken some of the higher ups to a restaurant that serves his kind to either stare them down for the whole meal or insist they order it and then wait in the bathroom so they think he straight up got cooked
Pretty physically fragile. PT's conditions are similar enough to his home moon in terms of gravity and whatnot that he's doing alright but he needs the suit to thrive there and survive on many other planets. That and he's very vulnerable to physical damage out of his suit. So, the suit is mainly for protection and an advantage in combat but there's also the advantage of hiding what he actually looks like-- useful for his line of work, deceiving others, and not letting most know he's a squishy lil guy.
Does not like the cold. He will languish… please…
Amphibious, can spend time out of the water but needs to be moist to breathe + thrive. Suit mists him down too.
In general the suit is pretty well coded and whatnot... engineering masterpiece... it's like a little mini mech kind of in my mind.
Would kill to pilot a huge ass mech some day btw. Douglas needs a huge ass mech.
Garmantuous, Nipulon, and probably Giblets have seen him out of his suit or otherwise know/have been told abt it. That and whoever of the Skrendel Bros he had that little tryst with. or not. idk.
Everyone else? A good deal of people mainly those in the crime syndicates have seen him without his helmet or been able to kind of see his face through it but I'm under the assumption that only some folks know he's a straight up octopus. Assuming this since Kenny didn't know and it took Gus some time to recognize him/he had to figure it out first so ig that means most folk (Including Rel and Krubis) don't really know !!
As for how the whole delicacy thing. ig that's like. other side of the galactic community. niche shtuff.
While he's generally an asshole and cruel to those beneath him, when it comes to the other officers of the G3 he's generally friendly (by Douglas standards tho). Still it's very 50/50. Total wildcard, does whatever entertains him. Prone to mischief, trickery, and dragging others along in his antics, sober or not. Will be your pal one day and your worst enemy the next. Workplace warfare game is peak I'll tell you that much
He does a good job at worming his way outta trouble. He's a clever lil guy pretty damn resourceful. People don't give him enough credit bc for all the lack of impulse control he shows he's smart and slick enough to un-fuck up the situation if need be.
always a little pissy abt dealing with the long term consequences that he can't get himself out of but hey. he tries his goddamn best
Decently buddy-buddy with the Skrendels though this have been a bit Complicated since. Yknow.
Honestly I think it was Jonathan. Makes the most sense to me in my mind. The two are pretty much still just friends but Jonny boy kind of wishes there was more there now. Douglas doesn't, all that much. The other brothers know and Angela has probably pulled Douglas aside to beg "for the love of all that's holy let him down gently"
Mona was more like "If I so much as see a tear in my brother's eye you're calamari"
But they're all still pals. I guess. Everyone has their ups and downs? They still like getting up to mayhem when their paths cross and Jonathan is pretty friendly with Douglas still even if the other two are pretty... not all that ok abt the whole thing. the bros get protective.
Weirded out by Giblets but is honestly much too entertained by how pathetic he is to tell him to fuck off. He just tries to up the "what the fuck" factor when he can. On the other hand Giblets is very terrified yet very enthralled w/ Douglas. He is an enigma to the dr....
Things are also weird with Krubis. They kind of totally hate each other but it kind of makes them good friends. Above all else Douglas reminds Krubis of himself when he was younger so he kind of. Gets It and wants to keep a closer eye on him
like. they would get along so well but so awfully as well. there's no way krubis isn't jealous that Douglas has a better job and manages to keep it despite all the bullshit. There's no way they haven't been screwed over by Douglas once or twice by being caught in the crossfire of all the stuff he does. And I think Douglas is fickle with some of his workplace alliances some days he’ll take Krubis’s side others he’ll take Giblets he’s just like that for the goofs. Krubis gets pissed off w/ him a lot but I think they are low-key on the same wavelength. idk if that makes sense i'll probably draw or write it out in detail some day soon... hm...
Garm is Tired of Him. Nipulon is consistently disappointed and somehow also surprised with the crazy shit Douglas gets up to but does appreciate when Douglas comes around and does something competent by his standards. Gurgula found him annoying but is just. whatever.
Not always the best at reading the room.
A pretty optimistic person actually. Assumes best case scenario often. Even if his idea of the best case scenario involves killing people he doesn't like it's fine he's just a little guy
He can change colors somewhat, mostly at the tip of his tentacles. It's a signifier of health and emotion. There's a lot of patterns of flickering for communication and whatnot. They curl and deepen in color to denote distress, for example. And he's usually a pretty bright blue unless he's sick.
Epic gamer. With that many tentacles how could he not be. Total sucker for arcade games especially,,
Also big on party + group games. This is a man who has killed over mario party or kart… I just know it.
And drinking games ofc
Watches shitty daytime television on his days off esp when he’s hungover
Also loves riffing on shitty movies
Laughed over people crying about the space titanic movie only to bawl at the end. He blames the alcohol but we all know… we all know.
Facultative carnivore or omnivorous with preference to meat. main diet is like. fish shellfish maybe some sea plants... algae things... idk... he can stomach other foods but most plants just don't do anything for him nutrition wise. i say most because who knows what crazy stuff is out there in space. le shrug. gotta think the space food stuff over...
He thought Sweezy was annoying but useful. Lots of bickering but considering she doesn't talk during the fight he probably turned off her ability to with that inhibitor thing later on into their time together? because i do not think she would willingly be quiet for his sake.
Honest 2 god he coulda been a stand up comedian or an actor or written a book or something he's funny enough for it. But ig torturing people was his calling.
And he is a very creative torture technician! He's definitely squeezed information out of people well before. He shows enough prowess here that Garm is still impressed enough to not have totally gone sicko mode on him god bless
Beer and adjacent spacey drinks (there's a lot more choices out there in the galaxy after all) are his alcoholic beverages of choice. Some fruitier cocktails catch his eye sometimes too
Even when he is not going off on wild adventures or partying he is being generally bewildering.
he just wants 2 have fun at the end of the day...
Harper (i don't have as much I need to watch another play through i think)
she/they sapphic. Soft butch ish but dorky always looks like she's taking fashion notes from Luz (saying this as someone who hasn't watched TOH but. you see what i mean. and i mean this with affection and understanding.)
Thrilled to find about about axolotls on Earth. Frilly like her :) very fond of amphibians in general
Stoked to be learning all this cool shit about people and the world around her and doing cool shit as a bounty hunter and meeting Gene and stuff...
Kinda easily impressed. not used to having nice things.
Traumatized for sure but she's trying to be chill about it. Not used to asking for help
Generally A Bit Anxious at all times. jumpy in casual life
Vaguely morally fucked from being in that task force. This is kind of canon i guess... she'll be a little cheap or nosy or callous if she has to be and while i don't think she's super scummy I'm sure that cold blooded training will not be wearing off anytime soon
She does care about other people she's just bad at empathy and relating... and yknow... taught not to care... taught to be a soldier... but she cares she loves her pals so so much goddammit!!
The sort of person who googles her symptoms and convinces herself she's dying of ultra instinct tuberculosis
Professional armchair psychiatrist
Capable, just clumsy. She'll get the job done but not without some mishaps and taking the long way around.
Big fan of summer+warmer weather
Likes strawberry and mango... big on fruit in general. fruitpilled.
Ice cream and sherbet fan
But she love burger also. yes i am going to do the thing where a character mentions food and consider it their favorite sorry. i just love a girl eating aburger.
Never got to meet Kenny. They did, however, cross paths with Lezduit sometime before the G3's invasion.
I am a Harper x Sweezy truther. women... awesome... not yet tho i think it is a gradual thing... i like to imagine it just kind of happens. no confession or whatever just someday soon they wake up look at each other and say "wow i guess we've just been dating now"
could apply to other Gatlians but esp for her she likes to watch tv with gene and will totally watch youtube on the Bounty Hunter's computer... my little iPad baby...
Really likes nature documentaries. Worlds biggest casual geographic + Lindsay Nicole fan also
Speaking of I am choosing to believe both of them survive and start making alien zoology videos.
In an anthro or human au she would have a prosthetic leg
Either way anthro or not, the cybernetic bits are all kind of like a prosthetic and she talks to Gene sometimes abt disability + combat stuff during the uncommon occasions that she opens up about it a little.
And lastly a little prediction: if they bring back Kenny w/ a new VA then I'm expecting either an ability to switch which one you want to use, maybe having the option of dual wielding the two of them, or that Kenny gets an upgrade that makes him more powerful and he's a late game addition like Lez :3c
Or maybe pointing to a two player mode or switching perspectives with Lizzie if she finds Kenny wherever she is?? Kinda like Yokai Watch 3 switching between chapters until the two protags meet up.

Pantophobia Masterpost
What’s Pantophobia?
Pantophobia is a horror game concept I came up with and wanted to share with people. The game consists of 11 different levels that they player progresses through, with 7 different bosses programmed with intelligent AI.
Content Warning: This concept is entirely based on different aspects of horror and generally scary things, including abuse, gore, humiliation, apocalyptic themes, experimentation on humans, dolls, cannibalism, and other things. Please take care of yourself <3
The Characters
Tumblr media
Line up ^
The Spirits
Tumblr media
A cluster of spirits wandering the forest of Level 1. They don’t like trespassers. The Phone
Tumblr media
The sassy and rude but classy clown with a telephone for a head. First appears in Level 2, then again in Level 7.
The Fog
Tumblr media
The mysterious black mist that dwells in Level 4. It can change its voice.
The Doll
Tumblr media
The perfect friend from Level 5! As long as you don’t cause her pain, she’s lovely..
The Cherubim
Tumblr media
The Angel of Level 6. They love chatting, so long as you don’t upset them.
The Beast Cannibal
Tumblr media
Roams Level 8. He used to be just like the other AI, until the accident.
The Bomber
Tumblr media
His city is in Level 10; though, city is a strong word.
The Levels
Level 1: A dark forest. Dead leaves and branches crunch below the weight of your feet, and you swear you heard whispering around you.
Level 2: A black void. Aside from a few doors and a table with a telephone, it’s completely empty.
Level 3: A series of hallways that look similar to those of an office building. As you walk, you peek into the different abandoned rooms, with old computers and papers strewn across the floor. You can hear a voice through the intercom system. Maybe it wants to help you.
Level 4: It didn’t want to help you.
Level 5: It looks like the room of a small child. There are alphabet blocks and giant foam puzzle pieces. The longer you’re there, though, the more decayed it seems to get…
Level 6: You’ve wandered into an old timey living room with a box TV, a flowery couch, and a small table with some tea. Aside from everything that isn’t nailed down floating, it seems pretty normal. Or the blue void outside the windows.
Level 7: A play place. Plenty of obstacles, bright colors, and mirrors. You swear you hear children softly laughing in the far distance, like a distant memory. It’s nostalgic, until you come across a table with a phone on it.
Level 8: A dark maze made out of concrete walls with dead leaves and bushes. All the life seems to have been drained from here, leaving little oxygen in the air to breathe. You are given a lantern, but you wonder how it could save you from the steps you hear running towards you and monstrous sounds.
Level 9: A lab. There’s a TV playing a fun little commercial on it. Something’s missing here.
Level 10: A destroyed city. Meteors rain from the blood red sky, buildings are on fire and falling down. Corpses layer parts of the ground, yet it seems somebody is still alive.
Level 11: The end.
Rules
~Be kind to other people and myself.
~No straight up NSFW asks, suggestive is okay
~Please do not copy my designs, I worked very hard on them.
~Fanart is always welcome :)

Going Around (M, Modern AU Musketeers)
You guys have gotten a little reprieve from my nonsense on here, but I'm back ;) I'm in such a bad state mentally that I just had to do something, so this!!
It's a modern!AU story, which as you can guess I don't usually go for, but it's a belated gift for @seasnz set in her pharmacist AU. It's based on stuff we've discussed, but the absolute BEST part of the fic is all her, babyyy 😈😈😈
CW: contagion
“Is everything alright?”
The voice comes from somewhere close (too close) over Athos’s shoulder, and he turns to see the man from behind the pharmacist’s counter, the one with the kind of wavy black hair you’d see on shampoo commercials, beaming at him as though Athos is some excitingly rare artifact and not just… Athos. The man’s voice is, irritatingly, just as bright as his smile, and Athos casts a desperate look around the shop only to find, even more irritatingly, that he’s been standing in this one spot long enough for sunshine-man to have helped the three other customers that were in line when Athos entered. Sunshine-man is helping him out of boredom, Athos realizes, and he bites back a groan.
The man’s head is cocked as he awaits an answer. No, Athos wants to say, everything is very much not alright. He’s only just moved here two weeks ago and apparently just being in this new, godforsaken place has been enough to break his immune system out of its three-year-health-streak and give him a terribly damp, snuffly cold in his head. He knows he’s been in the aisle for quite some time, staring bitterly at the boxes of medications in his hands, but he is so seldom sick he can’t even remember what he used the last time he felt bad enough to do anything but tough it out (and besides, he swears all the boxes have changed since then–why on Earth a box for snotty-nosed sick people needs a revamp to look enticing and modern is beyond him).
“Oh, you’ve got a cold?” Sunshine man’s voice is all worried sympathy, far more sympathy than Athos and his pitiful headcold deserve or even want (Athos tells himself this latter part is true, no matter how his stomach flutters a bit at the thought of being fussed at). He gestures to the box whose ingredients Athos has been squinting at for the past five minutes.
“No, I just peruse this aisle for fun.”
Immediately Athos bites his tongue. Why does he do this? The man is only trying to help him, for God’s sake–more than that, it’s literally his job to help him–and here Athos is, falling back to his snappy self and–
The man laughs, and Athos resents the shimmer of warmth the sound sends through him. Why can this man not just let him wallow in his own self-pity? Surely a man with a 37.8 degree temperature deserves to. Athos tucks his chin into his scarf with a low grumble, trying resolutely to hold fast to his rapidly dwindling bad mood.
“Maybe I can help you narrow down your search,” the pharmacist offers, taking a step closer. “What’s bothering you most?”
Athos gives a demonstratively clogged sniffle. “My head is so stopped up I can hardly even think.”
Though the sound made Athos himself shudder with disgust, to his credit, the pharmacist does not so much as flinch. Rather he leans forward, fingers ticking along the medicine boxes as though he is a librarian looking through titles for a book. “Something with a decongestant, then. This one is–”
The sniffle clearly shifted the delicate balance in Athos’s stuffy head, for before he knows it, a sneeze is bursting out of him with no warning. “Ihh’KESHHH’uhh!” His hand comes up a crucial second too late, for Athos sees the mist fly between them in the fluorescent shop lights and, to his utter and abject horror, glisten on the pharmacist’s neck and cheek.
Athos hurries to retrieve a tissue from the pack in his pocket. Should he offer it to the man to clean himself up? “Oh God. I’m so terribly sorry. I don’t know what came over me.”
“A sneeze clearly came over you,” the pharmacist says calmly, wiping his cheek with his sleeve. He turns to hand the box he has chosen from the shelf to Athos, and his face softens impossibly further. “You’re ill, it comes with the territory. It’s quite alright.”
Athos takes the box from him, feeling the weight of it heavy in his hand with guilt and embarrassment. The sneeze, though dampening his skin, has not dampened the man’s spirit, for he chatters away with the breezy tone as before. “What I was saying though, this one will work well to clear you up a bit and it’ll get rid of that little temperature you have.”
Athos pauses, narrows his eyes. “How did you know I–”
There is that beam again, and the pharmacist looks ridiculously proud. “You’re a bit flushed around the cheeks, and you’ve been in here a tad too long for it to be from the wind.”
Ah yes, Athos swallows the embarrassment and–perhaps disappointment?--this observation conjures up. Of course sunshine-man was so keen to help him, Athos had been cluttering up his shop and breathing his germs for the better part of half an hour by this point.
Athos, are you really so foolish as to be disappointed that the pharmacist doesn’t deep-down care for you personally? Good God, perhaps more so than a decongestant, Athos needed a heaping dose of Extra-Strength Get-A-Grip tablets.
“I’ll take this, then,” Athos says.
“Brilliant.” It would be so much easier if the man would stop smiling like that. He claps his hands together with a little oh sound. “Tissues and lozenges? Have you got enough of those?”
Athos shifts around on the balls of his feet, willing the worst of the flush which had nothing to do with his illness down from his cheeks.“Yes.”
“Good,” the pharmacist says and gives him a little wave. “Well let’s head over to the front, then, and I’ll ring you up.”
Athos follows him to the till, feeling incredibly foolish and fighting the sudden urge to stuff the box of medicine in the pocket of his coat as though he were buying some outrageous sort of sex toy from the sunshine-man and not just a box of decongestant medicine. Their fingers brush when Athos hands the box back to the man for scanning, and he prays that if the pharmacist notices the all-out shiver which jolts through Athos, he’ll be inclined to think it’s Athos’s fever.
Once it’s all paid, the pharmacist hands it back with a smile. “Come back if you need anything, and I’ll be glad to help you.” He gives a chuckle. “If I’m not in the front, I’m probably in the back. Ask for Aramis.”
“My name is Athos,” Athos says before he thinks, as if the man has asked, and dear God, can the tiles swallow me whole–
“It’s been nice to meet you Athos,” Aramis says, and his voice is so smooth and kind it sounds as though, against all odds, he genuinely means it. For a second, his expression seems almost intimate, before it shifts back to his usual pharmacist-ly authority. “Though I wish it weren’t under these circumstances. Go home, drink lots of fluids, and feel better, alright?”
******
Three days later, when Athos stops at the pharmacy again after a GP visit, with a 38.5 degree fever and a pounding headache, he feels as though he’s failed Aramis in a way, particularly after the man had told him in no uncertain terms to feel better, alright? At least this time, Athos thinks bitterly, he won’t sneeze on the man; he’s stopped-up so tightly no air has been coming in or out of his nose for the past 24 hours.
There is no one in the shop but Aramis, who is seated this time behind the counter rather than standing. As Athos approaches, he instantly sees the reason why: the man’s nose is red and chapped, his lips parted to allow himself to breathe. His tired eyes are downcast, glassily out of focus on some point near the floor, and he’s sniffling wetly. If Athos looked that bad when he’d first come to the pharmacy, he wouldn’t have blamed Aramis for taking off running.
“Oh no,” Athos says, cringing at the thick sound of his voice. “You caught this from me.”
Aramis springs from his seat with a tired but genuinely delighted smile. “Athos! I–Ihh’CHMPFF!” He deftly catches the sneeze in the crook of his elbow, something which Athos wishes he had done. “It’s nothing. There’s just something–heh! Snf!--going around.”
“Yeah, me.”
Aramis takes two tissues from the box which Athos has just noticed at his elbow, still looking distinctly hazy. He sniffles liquidly before getting a far-off look in his eyes. He looks up, squints at the overhead lights, breathing slowly and deliberately. Then, his breath hitches and he comes crashing down into the tissues. “Hih’TSHIEW!! Hihhh’TSCHHH!”
Aramis gives his nose a soft, polite blow into the tissues before crumpling them up and tucking them in the pocket of his trousers. He squirts a liberal amount of hand sanitizer on his palm, and for a brief moment as he rubs it in, Athos gets the insane urge to chastise him at the hygiene of it all before he remembers he is the one who brought this all down on Aramis by sneezing in the man’s face.
Aramis snuffles, then fixes him with a bleary smile. “What can I do for you?”
Athos clears his throat, the dragging ache reminding him distinctly of his own misery. “I’ve got a prescription.”
Aramis nods and disappears a moment to the prescription shelves. When he returns, he is holding Athos’s prescription and paperwork in one hand and tucking the collar of his shirt up over his nose with the other.
“Heh’RSHHH’uhh! Ehh’KSHHH! Hehh’ihhh’HIKSHHHH!” He pauses, just long enough to open his eyes to gauge where he is placing the bag on the counter, before his eyes squeeze shut again and he tugs the shirt up further. “Hahhh’KSHOO!”
For a moment, Athos had felt a bit jealous, for he’d have given anything for the sweet release of a sneeze to loosen the pressure built up in his head, but now that feeling was all but replaced by pity and guilt, for the man sounded awful and it was all Athos’s fault.
“You had to have caught this from me,” Athos croaks miserably. “I sneezed directly on you.”
Aramis picks up the paperwork, scans the prescription information with a rueful smile. “Well, if I did, it looks like I have a–snf! Snf!-- A sinus infectiod to–heh’KSHHOO! Ugh… Christ!” He gives his head a shake and presses his thumbs into the corner of his eyes to wipe away the bleary tears which have gathered there. Athos’s heart turns. “Snf! To look forward to.”
Aramis wipes his drippy nose with the balled up tissues from his pocket, either too tired or forgetful to use the hand sanitizer this time. He goes over the potential side effects and interactions of the antibiotics with Athos, sniffling and clearing his throat the entire way through.
As soon as he finishes, he murmurs a little, “Excuse me,” and crumples into his elbow with a raspy fit of coughing. Mid-fit, a man in a white coat, a bit older than Athos or Aramis, materializes from somewhere beyond the prescription shelves, shaking his head and clucking his tongue.
“Help that gentleman,” the man says, “and then go home, Aramis.” He picks up the tissue box and shoves it into Aramis’s chest; the man grasps it with a little oof. “God’s sake, you sound about three times worse than when I last saw you an hour ago.”
“Your point is taken, Treville,” Aramis says hoarsely. He smiles, all bright and cheeky like a little boy, and Athos’s stomach does a flip. “You don’t have to insult my wonderful voice, too.”

What is Hydroponic Farming System
It is the skill of growing plants in the absence of soil. Hydroponic system depends on a water based nutrient rich solution.
Hydroponic is a method of growing plants in a controlled environment (eg-greenhouses) where nutrients are dissolved in water and delivered directly to the plant’s roots instead of relying on soil for support and nutrition. The hydroponic system utilizes various substrates such as perlite, coconut coir or even air to anchor the plants. The nutrition solution, which contains all the essential elements necessary for plant growth, is carefully monitored and adjusted to ensure optimal conditions.
Here are some key components of Hydroponic Farming -
Growing medium : Instead of soil, hydroponic system use various growing mediums such as rock wool, perlite, coconut coir or even air (Vertical Farming) to support plant roots
Nutrients Solution: A carefully balanced mixture of essential nutrients is dissolved in water and delivered directly to the plant roots. This ensures that plants receive the precise nutrients they need for optimal growth.
Environmental Control: Hydroponic systems enable growers to fine-tune environmental factors like temperature, humidity, light and CO2 levels to create ideal conditions for plant growth . This level of control minimizes the risk of pests and diseases.
Water Recycling: Hydroponics is highly water efficient. Unlike traditional farming which can be water-intensive, hydroponic systems recirculate water, reducing overall consumption. This makes it particularly attractive with water scarcity.
Hydroponic Farming in India -
In India, hydroponic farming is gaining traction due to its potential to address various agricultural challenges, such as water scarcity, limited arable land availability, and the need for sustainable and high-yield crop production. It offers opportunities for urban and peri-urban farming, making it a viable solution for increasing food security and promoting sustainable agriculture practices in the country.
Applications in India:
Hydroponic farming has diverse applications in India:
Urban Agriculture: Hydroponics is well-suited for urban areas, where space is limited, and fresh, locally grown produce is in high demand. Rooftop gardens, vertical farms, and container farming are popular choices for urban agriculture in India.
Commercial Greenhouses: Many commercial growers in India have adopted hydroponic systems for the production of various crops, including tomatoes, cucumbers, and leafy greens.
Research and Education: Hydroponic systems are used in research institutions and educational settings to study plant growth, nutrient management, and environmental control, contributing to agricultural innovation in the country.
Food Security: Hydroponic farming can help improve food security by providing a reliable source of fresh produce, even in regions with challenging climate conditions.
Types of Hydroponic Systems:
There are various hydroponic systems designed to cater to different crops and environmental conditions:
Drip System: Nutrient solution is delivered directly to the base of each plant via a network of tubes and pumps. Excess solution is collected and recirculated, minimizing waste.
Nutrient Film Technique (NFT): In NFT systems, a shallow film of nutrient solution flows over an inclined trough, with plant roots placed in the film. Roots draw nutrients and oxygen from this thin film.
Aeroponics: This system mists the plant roots with a nutrient-rich solution, providing both nutrients and oxygen to the roots through a fine mist. This method encourages rapid growth.
Deep Water Culture (DWC): Plants are suspended in oxygenated nutrient solutions in DWC systems. Air stones or diffusers are used to oxygenate the water, ensuring the roots receive an adequate oxygen supply.
Wick System: The simplest of all hydroponic systems, wick systems rely on capillary action to draw the nutrient solution from a reservoir into the growing medium. This is a passive system that requires no electricity.
Ebb and Flow (Flood and Drain): This system cyclically floods plant containers with the nutrient solution, then allows it to drain, providing oxygen to the roots. This mimics natural irrigation patterns.
Vertical Farming: Vertical hydroponic systems utilize vertical space, allowing for the stacking of plant layers. This approach maximizes crop production in limited space, making it suitable for urban environments.

Hi, I have some questions about Sigma Rhada if that’s okay! Like, how many moons does it have, (if any), what kinds of climates exist on it, does it have any unique features, that sort of thing.
That's perfectly okay! I'd be happy to answer 👀
Tumblr media
Sigma Rhada 6 was once classified as a 'garden' world to the Federation of Allied Species, which generally means it's a temperate terra world with plenty of water. Sigma Rhada in particular shares nearly a single biome across the entire planet. It's all very tropical, and any variations between regions is more so in the bioluminescent flora itself than in the weather. The area Neo Shousis resides in is where the planet shifts from blue to pink, but there are other areas that shimmer red-purple or green-yellow.
One of the planet's most notable features is the many 'geysers' spread across the world, periodically erupting and, in the process, adding to the perpetual icy halo that creates the planet's ring system. Sigma Rhada's rings consist mostly just of the ice from the geysers on the world, and as the closest rings fall back down into the atmosphere, down back into the planet, it thus creates a perpetual rain on the planet. This is why it is nearly always raining, and if it's not raining, it's at least misting. It's a very humid world, and attracts many amphibious or reptilian species acclimated to wet climates.
Sigma Rhada has two moons, and nobody can seem to decide on names for them, so pretty much every species ends up calling them something different. Regardless: One moon is devoted to more commercial luxuries, and the other to the day-to-day operations of the many business operations (which could be military, mercenary, drug trade, trafficking related), not suited for the general civilian.
The planet's capital continent-city, Neo Shousis, could get a post all on it's own about it's unique features. I kind of expand on it here. But I need to work on it more too!
There are other settlements on the planet, but the vast majority of activity on the world happens in the capital. Either way, the settlements are across the expansive seas of the planet.. And the seas themselves are home to dangerous activity. Away from the city, usually, pirates of Sigma Rhada 6 exist in excess.

The trouble with fog at sea is that it’s impossible to tell how thick it is and how far you can see. The only reference if when there is something to look at, like another boat, or some rocks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It helps looking off the stern at our wash.
Tumblr media
We reckoned we could see about 200 yards. That should be enough if we were vigilant.
We don’t have radar.
On our GPS (global positioning system, or chart plotter, which is our boat sat nav) we have AIS.
AIS is the Automatic Identification System and is a short-range coastal tracking system currently used on ships. It was developed to provide identification and positioning information to both vessels and shore stations. So other boats that are fitted with AIS show up on the GPS. All commercial boats have to be fitted with it by law, but for leisure boats there is no legal requirement, so it’s hardly foolproof. None of the small private French fishing boats have it. A careful watch is necessary, particularly for lobster pots. There is little warning!
The journey took around an hour. There’s a lot of rocks around Tréburden, and the trick is to avoid them if possible.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Never having been here before we managed to locate the gate and moored up. There’s were quite a few Brits here on the visitors pontoon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As we came in we saw this odd thing. No idea!
Tumblr media
The sun had been trying to punch through all day, but the mist was with us too. It would clear momentarily and then return. Quite weird.
