This episode was so painful (to us viewers and) for BOTH parents
Misaki realizing that they have almost everything she can’t provide Miri. from all types of clothing, to a room filled with everything the child wants, Misaki realized that this place has everything she couldn’t afford. In her eyes, this is paradise for a child like Miri.
But if there’s anything Kazuki and Rei can’t do, it’s to provide Miri a normal life. One devoid of lies and danger. If they choose to keep this up, it will hurt them all in the long run.

can't believe a show based on a videogame (usually games adaptations are notoriously bad, which isn't the case here tho) gave me the beauty and the beast/twisted mirrors/enemies to traveling companions/ruthless antihero+optmistic but still badass heroine who takes none of his shit/age gap but make it sexy dynamic of my dreams. as much as i love maximus and i think he deserves the best writing ever because 1. he's a clever deconstruction of the aspiring Knight bro who's actually a bit of a loser and, as much as lucy, sees the world in black&white at first and then doesn't get what he thought he wanted but what he needs (or at least i hope he'll eventually get it), and 2. he's a cutie and i want an epic love story for him too, it's very funny how they tried to give us a puppy kind of romance and the tumblr girlies still fixated on the "toxic ~she bites his finger off and he cuts hers off and sews it on his hand in what we'll pretend it's a symbolic marriage rings exchange or whatever~ asshole who used to be a nice guy/good girl™ with a lot of spunk and hidden anger but unshakeable morals" kind of relationship.

😔 (thinking about Grant hugging his dad after not seeing him for a long time and receiving a warm embrace full of love versus Sparrow hugging his dad after not seeing him for a long time when he was only offered a handshake in the first place and receiving no more than some arms lightly wrapped around him in return)

thinking about rei’s shitty dad. how he doesn’t let rei call him father, only boss. how he only taught him how to kill and nothing else. how nothing really ties them but name and blood. how he still expects rei to fulfill his “duties” as a son despite never really being his father.
thinking about rei. how he holds miri so gently. how he’s willing to learn to make her life comfortable. how he (and kazuki) take pride in being called papa. how he and kazuki want her to grow up happy and healthy. how they are a family tied by love.

I've been watching Hazbin Hotel in prime. Just watched episode 5 and I gotta ask
Why, oh, WHY DON'T I SEE MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT "MORE THAN ANYTHING" WHEN TALKING ABOUT THE HAZBIN HOTEL MUSIC???
Like I get it, the song before it "Hell's Greatest Dad" Is a bop reminiscent of other music from the era its parodying. I loved it.
BUT why are you only putting clips of that song when this MASTERPIECE comes a few minutes after
I honestly don't even know where to begin with this song. The visuals are beautiful, especially when we get moments like this where you can just see the absolute LOVE this man has for her daughter is so sweet and Heartwarming I just-
The voices are fenomenal but what else can you expect from the broadway talents of Erika Henningsen and Jeremy Jordan.
There is also the whole Symbolism with passing the baton to the next generation and stuff. I- I can't even get into the specifics right now Im too emotional.
But above all else THE LYRICS
ESPECIALLY THAT LAST ONE
"I'M GRATEFUL YOU ARE MY DAUGHTER/FATHER MORE THAN ANYTHING"
DO YOU WANT ME TO CRY?? CAUSE I AM. I AM BAWLING MY EYES OUT RIGHT NOW.
It's just so fucking beautiful man. Probably the best song I will hear all year. Obviously my favorite from Hazbin.

David Jenkins: Lets give Blackbeard daddy issues
The writers room: Ok lets have him watch his dad slap him mom and then have him kill his dad as a kid and that's his tragic backstory.
David Jenkins: More!
The Writers: uhhh ok what if he had an abusive captain as a young pirate, we'll even bring that motherfucker back in season 2 and we'll have him do a "open up for the airplane" bit just to drive it home how daddy he is.
David Jenkins: MORE!
The Writers: Uh...... When he quits piracy he offends the family he's gone fishing with and gets beaten up by the dad? have him call him poppop just for fun
David Jenkins:
The Writers:
Lemme sight my sources here

My delusions are finally getting to me. JUST CAUSE I CANT BELIEVE THIS MAN IS TERRIBLE ON PURPOSE (at least not that often anyway) the scar is from his dad since I’m sure their father had HIGH expectations for bi-han being not only the oldest but next in line for grandmaster, so he was much harder with him which would explain why kuai liang and tomas saw their father as a good man and bi-han was ready to let him die when the opportunity presented itself since HE was basically watching his brothers get treated better than him by their OWN FATHER- I'm so sorry the demons
These guys are ROTTING MY BRAIN ❕️❕️

me and my dad are like abed and jeff in the way that jeff always gets abeds references, theyre two characters that mirror eachother, they understand and relate to eachother in a way thats different from other characters relationships, but also in the way jeff fantasises about strangling abed, "you try to get him to do something normal without abusing him!", "youre a robot, abed". and still jeff goes in for two hugs before abed leaves.
