I'm calling it now, the demobats are like the demodogs of their species line. They're NOT the final forms of that species line.

I'm thinking these bitches come out of these eggs in multiples, not just one, maybe up to ten hatch from one egg at a time, and those eggs are laid by something much much bigger.

I'm thinking Demodragons.

Welcome to this week's edition of what AUs can my brain spit out this time!

This week we have Kas!Eddie and a demodragon (credit to @piratefishmama for that terrify mental image) attacking the Party. Kas has wings but is riding the demodragon into battle against them.

The Party watches in horror as Steve does the most badass, stupid thing imaginable. He runs and leaps feet first into the maw of the demodragon. He's wearing thick boots that protect his feet for the moment. He grabs its mouth with both hands and starts just pulling as hard as he can.

The Party can't do anything because they'll hurt Steve. Kas drives the demodragon higher to try and dislodge their parasite. But Steve keeps tearing at its mouth. The demodragon starts thrashing. Kas realizing that if he goes any higher, he's going to get thrown.

The demodragon starts to plummet as Steve successfully rips its face in two. The beast falls to the ground, its impact throwing Kas and Steve in opposite directions.

Dustin screams "Steve!" and tries to get to the older teen, but he's held back by Robin or Jonathan.

They watching in horror as Kas limps over to Steve. Kas has one wing hanging at an odd angle from when he tried to slow his fall with them but got caught in an updraft and it got wrenched pretty bad. He's dragging one foot behind him and he's clutching his left arm to his chest.

But as he gets closer they can see he's starting to heal. The Upside Down is healing him. By the time he gets to Steve, he's walking almost normally and his wing is upright.

He kneels in front of Steve's prone form.

The Party knows they are too far away to do anything and El is battling with Vecna for Max's life. She can't help. They were supposed to distract Kas until El won.

But now they can only watch in horror, knowing they are too far away to stop Kas from killing Steve if he wanted. And then the strangest thing (heh) happens. Kas screams but not of triumph or glee. But of anguish. Of pain. Of...sorrow?

That can't be right.

Kas flies off with Steve and they can't do anything about it. Kas was tossing them around like ragdolls earlier.

They all stumble to the ground in their grief. Kas who was once Eddie is gone. Steve is most likely dead and if not, will be soon.

El wins with Will's help. They are able to destroy the Upside Down. Everyone makes it out but Eddie and Steve. They can feel the UD collapse beneath their feet. They can feel its demise as all the doorways close all over the world. Its gone.

They are mourning. It's the worst they ever been through. Always at the end they had Steve. Cheering them up, holding their hands, hugging them close.

Two days later. A resurrected Hopper calls a code red, everyone get to his house STAT!

Everyone comes over in a rush thinking that some monster escaped the destruction of the Upside Down.

But once everyone is there, Hop doesn't look worried or upset. He looks happy.

That's when he tells them. Eddie and Steve have been found.

"Their bodies?" Dustin asks.

Hop shakes his head. "They've been found alive both of them."

After he manages to calm the shouts from everyone he explains that they're both pretty bad off. They were found at Skull Rock. Eddie was holding Steve to his chest and there was a burnt out circle around them. It looked like Kas's wings. Eddie has superficial wounds on his head were the horns were, on his back where the wings were, even his hands and feet bare wounds.

Steve's the worst off. He had broken bones, his hands and feet were torn up by the demodragon's mouth. It looks as though Steve tried to break his fall when he hit the ground.

The kids get to the hospital and Eddie's awake. He's handcuffed to the bed and is amused when he's told they're silver plated in case he's still Kas. Dustin even tries to test him by "accidentally" cutting his finger. But no reaction except for Eddie calling for a nurse to bandage him up. He gets a cool Ghostbuster bandaid for his troubles.

The cuffs come off and Eddie explains that when Steve killed the demodragon it broke Vecna's hold on Eddie. And that little distraction is what allowed El and Will to defeat him. But as he was still a vampire the Upside Down was still healing him.

He also explains Steve's sacrifice. Steve rightly guessed that because of their bites they were connected to the Upside Down. Eddie had died and was able to be remade as Kas. But Steve? He had just enough damage to his insides that when it collapsed, their connection would be destroyed too. Most likely killing them both. So Steve wanted to go out in a blaze of glory. Wanting his death to mean something instead of a whimper surrounded by those that would mourn him.

But when Steve killed the demodragon it did something to their connection. Eddie's not 100% sure of the details, but it allowed him to shield the two of them from the destruction with his wings.

Eddie and Steve are put in the same room. Soon Eddie is released and Max is put in Steve's room. Eddie is there at their bedside every day. He has companions of course. Everyone visits. A lot of the time it's Lucas on Max's side and Dustin on Steve's with Eddie reading some book in the middle. It changes. Sometimes it's mysteries for Steve or comic books for Max.

Only now Steve won't wake up.

The doctors are grateful Steve has stayed under for so long, it's allowed his body to heal without interference. Before they weren't sure if he'd be able to walk or use his hands again, but now they are more then optimistic.

Max wakes up and after a couple weeks of intense physical therapy she's set to go home.

Eddie cries. Now, Steve's going to be alone. What happens if he wakes up in the middle of the night and no one is around? He'll be terrified. They can't leave him alone. They can't.

Uncle Wayne comes and leads Dustin out. Promises him an ice cream cone.

Eddie begs for Steve to wake up. Because if he's awake before Max leaves, then he'll know someone will be back.

And by some miracle he does. Steve wakes up. Steve and Eddie talk for a bit, while Eddie mashes the hell out of the call button. Dustin and Wayne are returning to the room when they see three nurses go flying by and into Steve's room. They both sprint to the door only to be greeted by a happy and tearful Eddie.

He's awake.

Once it's been okayed by the doctors Dustin and Wayne go in, only to find Max clinging to Steve as he whispers over and over again that he wouldn't have left her on purpose. Never on purpose. But because he decided to be stupid brave, he managed to save him and Eddie. She scoffs, but he can see the smile on her face.

Dustin is next and Steve gets chewed out "If you die, I die, asshole!" But he's clinging to Steve like a life raft and Steve is more than happy to be alive to be chewed out.

Slowly bit by bit everyone visits him in the hospital, some to chew him out, some for joyful reunions, but always with a grateful, "don't do that again."

Steve gets out and at his coming home party announces that he and Eddie are a couple.

I loooooooove your future 2012 AU of the boys. They all look so badass and cool but still them and its so GOOD. I wanna consume them.

I also had some questions if thats okay? What happened to Leo's leg? Did his knee injury gradually get worse and he was like "lol im gonna cut it off" or did he get reinjured in that spot and that was basically the end of the entire leg? Also how old are they in this AU? I know they are supposed to be adults but like in their 20s? I'm just wondering cause their character sheets dont have ages. ALSO LEO BEING THE SHORTEST MADE MY ENTIRE LIFE. (Props to Mikey for finally gaining some height). And I LOVE Donnie's long ass bandana tails, he looks so cool but so dramatic with them its great. LEO’S LEG

it’s actually a mix of both! leo kept pressuring his knee and over the years it gradually became worse — since he kept pushing his knee beyond it’s limits it keeps getting re-injured. the final straw was him snapping his knee again (completely this time) during a nasty fight and had to chop it off. the phantom pains he gets from his missing limb is… horrible, to say the least.

(BUT THAT FIRST SCENARIO YOU MENTIONED WOULD BE SO FUNNY THOUGH. imagine leo waking up one day and going, “oh wow. this knee injury hurts really bad, maybe i should chop it off. lol im actually gonna do it.” cue him barging into donnies lab like “DONNIE. I DEMAND YOU CUT MY LEG OFF” “WHAT?!” “CUT MY LEG OFF IT HURTS” “OF COURSE IT HURTS WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT YOU’RE THE ONE WHO KEEPS INSISTING THAT YOU SHOULD ‘TRAIN’ IT.” “yeah but i think my blood circulation isnt working look my leg is pale” “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK LEO” and boom. leg no more.)

AGES

they should be around their late 20s in this au, i hc that for every season of the show they age one year. so at the start they were like 15, and the show had 5 seasons (granted s5 was a bit messy and was full of aus and past flashbacks, but there was that demodragon arc and stuff) so they would be 20 at the end of the show. specifically they’re like 28 :) they are kinda old but hey at least they don’t have to pay taxes in the sewers…

HEIGHT PROBLEMS

oh god, when raph suddenly had a growth spurt it was horrible for leo. he was relentlessly being teased every single day and raph would NOT let off. and then when MIKEY hit being 1cm taller than leo, the teasing fucking doubled and he was downright miserable. they kept growing while leo was barely getting any height. he’s still their sensei though — and he makes them do extra training as punishment for the relentless teasing :) donnie doesn’t join in on the teasing (sometimes he does) but he does snicker when raph and mikey make jokes about leo’s height. it’s funnier for him because he’s been the tallest out of all of them since day one.

MORE ABOUT DONNIE

and yessss i loved designing donnie! since he was tall everything about his design had to compensate for his height so i figured long mask tails and a long lab coat would do the trick. his brothers were concerned over him tripping on his mask tails but he hasn’t, not even ONCE. he is one graceful, careful boy. he braids it or ties it into a bow whenever he does lab work so it doesn’t accidentally slip into one of his chemicals somehow. sometimes he lets mikey do it for him :)

Ooooooooooh yall ready for my 1st major character death? I wasn't.

The dust was settling. Vecna was gone. A cautious sense of relief was washing over everyone except for one. Robin ran as fast as her feet would take her. Steve was still lying on the ground, near the enormous beast that he'd slain, what Dustin and the others had started to call a demodragon.

He even had that dumb sword in his hand. And was smiling like he wasn't bleeding out. Robin took the sword away and tossed it to the side. He didn't need it anymore, they were done fighting.

"Steve? Steve?!"

Robin fell to his side, she was afraid of where to touch. There was so much blood. More than she'd ever seen coming from him and her heart broke thinking of all the times she'd seen him beat up. He didn't answer, but his lips were still split in a red, leaking grin.

"You're gonna be okay, we'll get you all patched up and everything's gonna be fine, okay!?"

Steve choked out a laugh, coughing up blood in the process. "You're a terrible liar, Robs."

"You lied to me", Robin said, voice watery. "You said we could win. You said we would make it. 'We', that's what you said."

"Sorry", Steve said, looking truly apologetic like he had any control over whether he stayed or went.

Robin knew she was crying when she saw droplets falling on Steve's face. She couldn't look away or even blink. It felt like if she took her eyes off him, he'd be gone. But she heard someone running towards them and looked up to see the others coming for them. She looked back at Steve and let out a sob.

I just finished s4(finally) of 2012 and... Holy shit bruh those last few episodes huh, like I knew what was gonna happen but the in-between really caught me off guard .

It took forever for me to finish space arc because several samurai rabbits took over my brain, so

I had question... In s5 are there any skippable(non plot relevant eps?) I skipped a couple in earlier seasons because they were aprite*#,lo capril drama so I want to be prepared

I just thought to ask you since you seem the most knowledgeable of this subject

(also raphmona in the space arc was amazing, like I knew they got together but not that fast, and I knew Raph fell hard but i hadn't known Mona had too! What the fuck! They're so cute!?)

TMNT 2012 Season 5, also known as “Tales of the TMNT”, overall is skippable because none of the arcs are connected, nor is it truly a continuation of the last 4 seasons and its story. I consider the season 4 finale the true ending of the series with season 5 being bonus stories/epilogues to certain characters and dynamics.

Season 5 isn’t a requirement to watch, but if you are interested, here’s my recommended arc/episode order:

If you want a more angsty ending then end the series with the Mutant Apocalypse arc ("The Wasteland Warrior", "The Impossible Desert", & Carmageddon"), but personally l'd just skip it cause it just leaves you a little unsatisfied, a bad taste in your mouth and leaves you with way more questions than answers. It’s also considered non canon, not just by fans but by the writers themselves, stating it’s one of many possible futures for the Turtles.

Personally, it's not a good way to end franchise so I would say have your last episode be Lone Rat and Cubs.

327. Michael Reaves - Dungeons & Dragons, Episode 15: The Treasure of Tardos  (September 15, 1984)

A fun and important episode of the animated series, The Treasure of Tardos actually gives us the first hint to a more complex plot underlying the story we've been following for the last 15 episodes, and hints at a more involved storyline to come. But that comes right at the end of the episode, so let's look at how it starts first.

There is a danger to the world and Dungeon Master asks the heroes to go fight a monster called the Demodragon, a new monster which D&D fans might recognize as a kind of mix between the Demogorgon and Tiamat, with the lower body of an animal, tentacles and two heads like Demogorgon (although it has hooves); but two heads which are dragon-like, a red one which spits fire and a blue one which spits ice. This monster is being controlled by Venger and aims both to attack the city of Tardos and retrieve the party's magical weapons.

When the Demodragon captures the party's magical weapons the control that Venger had over it is dissipated and the monster goes rogue. This leads to a temporary alliance between the party and Venger to defeat the Demodragon. After all is done we get the revelation right at the end of the episode from a teary eyed Dungeon Master speaking to the screen that Venger's downfall into evil is actually the DMs fault. Fade to black, episode end. Talk about a cliffhanger!

OKAY!! UPDATED TWO SOULS TIMELINE LET'S GO

Let's start with Rise because it's easier.

I set the dates back later, so the events of the show happened in 2020 instead of 2018 so the brothers can be 17, 16, and 15 in 2022 when the movie happened so when they meet the 2012 brothers are 25.

It means I adjusted the birthyears so Raph is now 2005, Leo and Donnie are 2006, and Mikey is 2007.

The brothers are mutated in 2007.

Then of course 2020, events of the show, 2022 events of the movie, 2042 events of the apocalyptic future.

Now onto the 2012.

Their timeline of events are super weird because it does not make sense. I think i read somewhere that the producers of the show (not sure, pls dont hate on me) said everything happened within a year and we are not gonna do that, ew, just no.

There is also a common agreement that every season is one year, which is cool, but does not make sense because I am an idiot and I will follow the release date of September 28 as their "birthdays" so that means i need to adjust the timeline according to how i feel how long each season is.

So let's start.

Late September of 2012 to late November of 2012 is season 1. 2 months.

Late November of 2012 to late February of 2013 is season 2. 3 months.

Late February of 2013 to late April of 2013 is the season 3 timeskip of Leo's coma. 2 months.

Late April of 2013 to late May of 2013 is the farmhouse arc of season 3. 1 month.

Late May of 2013 to early September latter half of season 3. 4 months.

Sent back in time for 6 months to March of 2013 is start of season 4. 6 months.

Early March of 2013 to early September of 2013 is space arc of season 4. 6 months

Early September of 2013 to early January of 2014 is the latter half of season 4. 4 months.

Splinter died sometime in January of 2014 to symbolize new beginnings or some corny shit.

They spend the year 2014 dealing with their grief and trying to sort through their trauma.

The first half of season 5 happened around 2014 to the latter half of 2015.

The episodes "Scroll of the Demodragon", "The Forgotten Swordsman", "Heart of Evil", and "End Times" happens in late 2014.

"When Words Collide" parts one and two happened early 2015.

"Yojimbo", "Osoroshi no Tabi", "Kagayake! Kintaro" happened in the middle of 2015.

The preparation for the mutagen bombing that started the mutant apocalypse in "Raphael: Mutant Apocalypse" happened in the few months leading to September.

The actual bombing happened in one night in late September of 2015 and ended just before midnight of the next day.

Leonardo Hamato took his last breath on September 27 2015, 11:59 pm.

He was sent to the Rise verse somehow in 2007. The two timelines run simultaneously at the same time, so essentially, my mans time travelled back.

He's 25 in the 2012 universe but 33 in the Rise universe as of 2022.

just me on my demodragons bullshit again, lets just. spin reality for a second. and assume the duffers can open a last season with anything but a slow paced crawl to a massive finale.

We open on a dark street, the highstreet perhaps close to ground zero, the road lined with empty stores, glass windows shattered, dark vines crawling up the walls, theres sirens in the background, far off but close enough to tell you they're coming from somewhere in town, the lights flicker.

Suddenly, from a side street, skids Steve Harrington's BMW, going as fast as that car can manage around a tight bend.

Inside the car is a small hoard of children and one very stressed driver, all yelling, the only legible thing anyone can make out is Steve Harrngton screaming "I'M GOING AS FAST AS I CAN" as he rights the car, hurtling them down that long stretch.

We're in the car now, and the kids are yelling, "GO FASTER" outside Mike's window, a demodog appears out of the dark, snapping at the window before it disappears into the darkness again.

Will from the middle, he's kneeling on the seats, eyes on the back window "IT'S COMING BACK AROUND!!" there's an otherworldly screech coming from outside, another demodog takes a snap at Dustin's window to the right side before vanishing into the dark like the other. We can't see the outside of the car, just the inside, the inside containing, Dustin, Mike, Will, and Steve.

"FUCK, FUCK, HOLD ON TIGHT!!" He swerves to the right, we see outside of Dustins window a set of talons filling the space the car was in moments before, wing beats filling what little void of sound there is between screaming.

The car swerves left, talons again, this time fill the view outside of Mikes window "IT'S RIGHT ON TOP OF US" someone yells.

the talons tear into the roof of the BMW, all the kids scream.

TMNT - The 10 Dimensions

A few times in tmnt 2012 (and tmnt as a whole I think but I’ve really only paid attention to 2012), the 10 dimensions have been brought up. From what I know, this includes the different turtle shows/movies/universes and dimension X. But y’know what here’s my take on it.

The 1st Dimension - Oblivisci Ruler/s: N/A A Few Native Species: N/A Description: Oblivisci translates to ‘to forget’ in Latin. It is named so since it’s become known as ‘the lost/forgotten world.’ Formerly, it was a land thriving with greenery, animals, and life. This is the first and so far only full dimension to be taken over by the Kraang. Since then, it’s been completely deserted. All it is now is a barren wasteland.

The 2nd Dimension - The Crystal Colony Ruler/s: Prince Kito A Few Native Species: The Quartz People, Ruby Roses, Sapphire Salamanders, Emerald Elephants Description: A land made of crystal and gems of all shapes, colours, and sizes. The animals, plants, and people are all crystals too. This world was ravaged by the Kraang years ago and is still recovering from the damage done. The king and queen are dead and have left their teenage son in charge. Much of the land is destroyed, but under the rule of the struggling prince, it’s starting to recover.

The 3rd Dimension - PrimeVerse Ruler/s: Depends on the planet A Few Native Species: Humans, Mutants, Salamandrians, Aeons, again it depends on the planet Description: The largest of the 10 dimensions. PrimeVerse’s main location is the Prime (original/comic) Turtle’s world. Every other tmnt variation and maybe even the fanfics are all alternate world that branch off PrimeVerse. In TMNT 2012, all the non-canon season 5 things are branches too. There’s not much else to say, this is just the primary place that the shows takes place.

Branches are alternate world that are connected to one of the 10 dimensions. There is an infinite amount of them.

The 4th Dimension - Dōbutsu Ruler/s: N/A A Few Native Species: Anthropomorphic Animals, which include rabbits, cats, bears, and more Description: Usagi’s world. This is the world that appears in like every tmnt version, so again, not much to say.

The 5th Dimension - The Overworld Ruler/s: Lord Oriri Solar Knight and Lady Cadere Lunar Knight A Few Native Species: Celestials, cherubs, the Souls of the Good Description: This is basically just Heaven. The celestials are a breed of supernatural creatures from the skies who preside over the Souls of the Good. The rulers of the Overworld are a set of twins who embody the sun and moon. Oriri and Cadere also choose who goes to the Overworld and who goes to the Netherworld.

The 6th Dimension - The Netherworld Ruler/s: Kavaxas A Few Native Species: Demodragons, imps, the Souls of the Bad Description: It’s honestly just Hell. Demodragons are a species originally from the 7th dimension who have been cursed to damnation for their whole existence. They, specifically their leader Kavaxas, preside over the deceased souls of the wicked.

The 7th Dimension - Terra Mirandi Ruler/s: The Five Houses A Few Native Species: There’s a lot, but I guess gorgons, witches, unicorns, cyclopses, Description: Terra Mirandi translates to ‘Land of Wonder’. It’s known as the magic dimension. Mythical creatures of all sorts are from here, from mermaids to dragons to centaurs, fairies, yokai, and so much more, even some breeds of imps and cherubs. Terra Mirandi is run by five houses, or families, each of which govern over a portion or 'kingdom' named after them. The five houses are as follows:

The House of Amros - Cupids. The name is a combination of amor, meaning love in a few different languages, and eros, the god of love. The House of Azyrath - Hellhounds, a breed of anthropomorphic wolves with wings and fire powers. I tried incorporating the word 'wrath' into the name as fire is associated with anger. The House of Venora - An anthropomorphic deer species known as Florebou. They are also responsible for the changing of seasons. Venora is a combination of venison (deer meat) and flora. The House of Thalassa - Siraelia, a crossbreed between sirens and cecaelia. The name means sea in Greek since sirens are Greek. They rule the seas of Terraria Mirandi. The House of Polilla - Humanoid white witch moths who are actually witches. Polilla translates to moth in Spanish since this particularly moth species are found in Latin America.

The 8th Dimension - The Digital Gates Ruler/s: Madame Tempestra A Few Native Species: Cyberfolk, digital bugs Description: The Digital Gates is a world almost completely cut off from outer interference. It’s really sophisticated but also cyberpunk style. The only thing that’s ever left the Digital Gates are bugs (like bugs on computers y’know). Tempestra rules the place and forbids anything else leaving for fear of exposig themselves to the Kraang and giving them a way in.

The 9th Dimension - Metamorphis Ruler/s: Changes A Few Native Species: Changes Description: Metamorphis is the world of change. Sometimes it’s daily, hourly, monthly, doesn’t matter. Nothing stays the same for long here. From the citizens, to the flora and fauna, the geography, everything changes at some point.

The 10th Dimension - Dimension X Ruler/s: Kraang Prime, Utrom Council A Few Native Species: Utrom/Kraang, Kraathatrogons, Rock Soldiers, Scatterpillars, Squibbles Description: Ah yes, Dimension X at last. This is the world of the Kraang. Like with dimensions 3 and 4, there isn't much to say about here that we don't already know from the show. All I'll add is that they've been trying to take over the 10 dimensions from the 1st to 9th, but so far have only gotten to the first 3.

The relief he felt had him sagging when his entire little pack came out unscathed. He leaned into Dustin, mostly because he was the one who got to him the fastest. The arm wrapping around him helped to ground him.

“Apparently there are more dragons in the Upside Down,” he said after a minute. “Don’t you even dare call them a demodragon, Henderson. Still trying to wrap my head around it.”

dude this is such an interesting ask! ive lowkey been begging for an excuse to show off the ‘12 turtles scars, they’ve been though 5 seasons worth of bodily harm and it needs to show. so here are the turtles and their biggest/most serious scars, plus some hc’s about their other injuries!

LEO

not only is he mentally scarred, he’s also physically scarred! (get this bitch some therapy, get them ALL therapy) this self-sacrificial idiot would do anything to keep his brothers safe, and thus got his worst injuries from that wonderful winter day he got ganged banged by shredder and the power of friendship

his throat got crushed by tigerclaw, and now he wears a bandage wrap around his neck

after fishface stomped his knee so hard it shattered, he wears a knee brace to compensate for the strain he puts on it after healing

his biggest scar to date is the double slashes across his left shoulder, courtesy of shredder ofc <3 (on the bright side at least he and raph are matching twinsies now)

dubbed thee protector of the team, ofc he’s gotta have the most scars out of his brothers. ranging from taking attacks for others to just simply picking fights he cant win, he shields everyone constantly. when you think about righteous anger and defenders will, you think abt this guy

that long scar across his face was a memoir from their first fight with shredder

he’s also got a leg injury that was serious enough for the entire team to be benched but i dont remember how, so there’s that

his biggest scar to date is the large cracks along his shell from the demodragon in s5.

he defo has the most scars specifically on his hands from tinkering with his machinery and playing with all them dangerous chemicals and stuff. despite that, he still has the least scars amongst his bros due to being sidelined as tech support /hj

yk that time don got knocked unconcious by an explosion while protecting his brothers from it? yeah his plastron took that damage well

he once touched an unknown liquid chemical in dimension X to ‘see what it could do’. the scars still sit proudly on his finger to this day

his biggest scar to date is from that fight with slash who clawed the crook of his elbow open while breaking it

MIKEY

this guy holds the title for obtaining the most head trauma injuries out of everyone. i’m not kidding bro has been hit on the head and/or concussed so many times from being either thrown around or being smacked upside the head by raph :pensive:

he’s broken his nose several times so much so that its literally just scarred

he got his right arm injury from fighting rahzar

his biggest scar to date is the head injury he got from being thrown off a moving train to escape tigerclaw in s5
