Ascendants at different degrees🦚🦢 pt 2
Venus in retrograde started🎶if your ex comes back or there’s an end, you know what to blame 🤪 jk
Tumblr media
Pinterest
Ascendant at Cancer degree (4°, 16° or 28°)
they’re sensitive in a way I think they can manipulate the atmosphere, at least they have this sensitive nature. They could have had a “rebel” era, putting it with “ bc in reality it wasn’t that kind of era, they were being themselves or they needed help and were misunderstood by people around them. that’s why when they grew up they seem more mature, like a mother figure, with their cheesy side, bc they don’t want people around them to be worried and also they have had matured? they constantly idealize the idea of being with someone that ‘ll take care of them, how they have been doing it with everyone. they love food and feeling at home, there’s one person that occupies that big heart. THE BABY FACE.
Ascendant at Leo degree (5°, 17° or 29°)
they don’t know they’re the center of attention until someone tells them. they attract people easily. the way they do things have something unique. childish or excited. when they say or do something impulsive, they think about it and then the worry doesn’t last longer (depends on the moon sign. Idk but the people Ik with ascendant at leo degree have had difficulties at choosing their career, they either are delusional and not have a concrete plan or they have two options. They lack of confidence when’s about their abilities, they’re pessimistic. They could have a hard time analyzing themselves. They need to do sports so they can have a healthy copy mechanism that actually helps them. They’re proud. They’re like little kids running but at the same time with a huge ego. They get bored EASILY and you’ll always find them with their hiperfixation, they can’t live without it, could be tennis, gardening, doesn’t matter. People like them, they do the bare minimum and people sympathize with them. Could be bc of their charisma. They care about what others think TOO MUCH, in a way they don’t care but they do.
Ascendant at Virgo degree (6° or 18°)
omg these people get manipulated easily, you don’t have idea 🙄. they’re not flexible, they try! And they have todo things in their way and they’re in this constant stress when people that’s around them don’t acr the same as them. since details like if you’re eating pizza without a plate and they get mad bc you have to do that and etc. or when they went out and -you can’t lie to me about it- and then criticize or point out things that disgusted them. I don’t want to justifícate them and I’m not going to but that’s how virgo loves? Or acts or how they live? They care and that’s how they show it -and also bc they have a god complex, but beside that..-. THEYRE MANIACS, they have to have their order. They have to heal darling, they have to😩 stop trying to fix others problems or taking too much time on them instead on focusing on your unresolved trauma, bc god you have. that’s why you’re so manipulated and manipulative. Manipulative bc you know exactly what’s the other Achilles’ heel and manipulated bc you haven’t find yet yours and if you had, you haven’t healed it.
Ascendant at Scorpio degree (8° or 20°)
they went though shit that haunts them till now, they’re healing but IS REALLY hard for them to not feel the memory. to not understand things as they come, that life can be unfair. and that not always the ones that made you suffer the most have to pay BY THEIR HANDS, karma exists babe. they’re kind souls that went though a lot and want to protect their loved ones no matter what. they can overthink too much to the point they thought you hated them bc their intuition was confused with paranoia. they’re always on vigilant mood -if they’re not, it’s with the ones they feel more comfortable- and ALWAYS analyze the person before taking the first step. sadly, one of their family could have been part of that insecurity/trauma that accompanies them in the present. bb pls stop blaming yourself for things you have no control and if you had, to learn you’re human ❤️

"Most allosexuals don’t understand asexuality. A 2019 Sky Data poll on asexuality found that 53 percent of respondents expressed initial confidence in their knowledge of and ability to define asexuality, but 75 percent of these respondents went on to demonstrate a lack of knowledge about the definition of asexuality and little understanding of asexual people’s experiences with sexual desire. While much of this ignorance can indeed be attributed to lack of education and awareness, the other contributing factor is that many allosexuals impede their own education when given opportunities to learn, closing themselves off from their capacity for imagination and critical thought when asexuality is the topic of discussion, even to the point of refusing to acknowledge allosexual as a term that describes them.
This response to allosexual mirrors the way others have responded to cis in conversations about trans and nonbinary identities, or even how some white people respond to being reminded of their whiteness in conversations about race and racism, and this is exactly why the word allosexual is necessary. Naming non-asexual people as allosexual encourages them to think more deeply about this aspect of their identity, consider its many implications, and reflect on how they move through this world because of it and how that truth impacts others—even, and especially, if it makes them uncomfortable to do this work. It’s a reminder that asexuality exists, and that allosexual is just one identity on the spectrum of sexuality—not the default, neutral, blank-slate, 'normal' identity that some have always assumed it to be. So much so that they feel it doesn’t even need to be named.
I know from personal experience, witnessing, and testimonials that allosexual responses to asexuals and asexuality are typically rife with misunderstanding, bad faith arguments, brick walls, circular logic, denial, and cognitive dissonance. If you’ve never had sex, then you can’t know that you are asexual. If you have had sex, then you just haven’t had enough sex to know what you like yet. But you also can’t possibly be asexual if you’ve had 'too much' sex, especially if you enjoyed any part of it. If you come out as ace before a certain age, then it’s too early to know that about yourself. After a certain age, you’re a fraud because otherwise you would have come out sooner. In these interactions, asexuality is always painted as an impossibility according to whatever realm of logic the deniers decide to argue within at any given moment. The parameters are also subject to change at any time, and only they get to determine what those parameters are and when they are allowed to change, never asexuals."

Can Wo-Chien write books? (I'd think they can, though they might have some issues considering... snail.)
Tumblr media
Can Wo-Chien write books?
Yes, with a 87 on the Pokémon writing scale.
(@james-silvercat also asked about Wo-Chien)
Is this Pokémon physically capable of writing?
Wo-Chien lacks limbs but it is grassy so it is presumably malleable in some way. In addition, one of the first moves it learns is Tickle. Whatever it uses to tickle can probably hold a pen. Vines perhaps? It does learn Power Whip. It is also notable that Wo-Chien was once a human who became a Pokémon by cladding themself in dead leaves. Something happened to make it change even further but there may very well just be a full guy under that snail shell.
9/10
Does this Pokémon know what a book is?
Probably not. Wo-Chien is one of the few Pokémon to be confirmed to have written before but it is said that before becoming a Pokémon, it wrote on wooden tablets. It spends its time isolated from other humans so it is unlikely it has ever seen a book. But, wooden tablets are similar to books in essence so Wo-Chien deserves points here.
8/10
Can this Pokémon read?
Yes. Wo-Chien knows how to write so it presumably knows how to read. It is made of dead leaves though so it may have lost some of its human memories when it became a Pokémon. Additionally, Wo-Chien is very old so it may have a hard time with modern language.
9/10
Would this Pokémon have access to the materials needed to write a book?
Maybe. Wo-Chien tends to stay away from people so it wouldn’t be able to get paper but it is very in tune with plants. It’s written on wooden tablets before and it can do it again.
7/10
Does this Pokémon have enough basic education to write well?
Yes. When it was human, Wo-Chien wrote about the evil deeds of a king. Wo-Chien has enough critical thinking skills to understand and analyze the world around it. A lot of humans can’t even do that, let alone write political commentary like Wo-Chien.
10/10
Would this Pokémon be good at writing?
Yes. Wo-Chien’s writing caught the attention of the king it was writing about. The writing was deemed worthy of punishment. This doesn’t necessarily mean it was good. Evil kings aren’t exactly known for ignoring things. But, it was still good enough that the king heard about it, which implies a lot of people were reading and sharing it. Even if it wasn’t very good, Wo-Chien still angered a king and that’s pretty cool.
10/10
Does this Pokémon have anything to write about?
Yes. Wo-Chien could write something historical about its time as a human, continue its commentary as a king, about how it became a Pokémon, or what it’s like being a legendary Pokémon. It also spent a lot of time in isolation and probably spent a lot of time thinking. It has the skill and knowhow to explore different genres and types of writing.
10/10
Would this Pokémon be able to get their writing into a book?
Probably. It probably wouldn’t be able to contact a publisher but it could create a physical book and additional copies if it wanted to distribute them.
7/10
Would this Pokémon want to write a book?
Probably but maybe not. Afterall, writing is what got Wo-Chien punished and led it to becoming a Pokémon. It may not be happy about that and carry residual trauma that would make it averse to writing. It is also a real possibility it still has a passion for writing and wants to continue.
7/10
Does this Pokémon have any other redeeming qualities?
Wo-Chien has the ability Tablets of Ruin which draws on the power of the tablets it continues to carry around. Writing is central to its identity and its existence as a legendary Pokémon. And, again, Wo-Chien was once human and it is unknown how much it has changed. It may have a lot of human traits under the leaves and shell.
10/10
Results
Yes, Wo-Chien can write books with a 87 on the Pokémon writing scale. It also gets two Dunsparce points: one because multiple people asked about Wo-Chien and another because I had a lot of fun writing this.

your thoughts on Karin? (cuz she's so hated by sakura stans)
Well we know why they dislike her so much :’)
I don't have many specific thoughts about her tbh. However, I do like team Hebi/Taka because it works. I think that's not so much about whether she's 'useful' or not, but more about Sasuke's ability to lead a team effectively. I wish we had seen more about Karin's goals and inner world beyond ‘Sasuke’. First, because she is an Uzumaki and it’d be great to learn even a tiny bit of background (other than Anime filler and databooks) and secondly because right now I find her dedication, loyalty (according to Suigetsu) and relationship with Orochimaru confusing to say the least. And even more so after Gaiden 🤔 We've seen internal conflicts explored for characters who are considered 'less important' than Karin, but it now seems limited to an obsession with Sasuke.
I'm not criticizing this lack of depth per se because, in most cases, there is room to expand on a character and flesh them out if it serves the story. I understand that it might not be the case for a supporting character (literally) in Sasuke's journey like Karin was and that it may not even have been Kishimoto’s intention to hand out the ability to sympathize with her behavior as her core personality shown in the story isn’t the easiest to like or relate to lol.
But thirdly... you can’t really tell what truly motivates her as a person (internally), other than this one memory of Sasuke saving her and then crushing on him. I consider characters as a 'person' (internal) different from their 'duties' and motivations as Shinobi (external). Although in some cases these are aligned or become intertwined. So, that memory alone isn't a satisfying guiding principle. Especially not in a complex story like Naruto. It's simply 'something that happened' and it didn't lead her to the point she then was acknowledged as kunochi (when we got introduced to her, the chains are an exception) who could be useful for a team. Ultimately her personal reasons to be strong in the first place didn't put her in a position that made Sasuke consider her for his team. She was useful and then her crush on Sasuke motivated her to join the team which is entirely different.. and having this crush wasn't her driving force as a person the way Sasuke was for Naruto. Sasuke was Naruto's driving force which made him strong which then was useful to the Shinobi world, see how that's the opposite? (There's no right/wrong here, it's just an observation.) Generally, you can't really sense that yearning she has for (Sasuke's) love, because there isn't any emotional layering to it. Nevertheless, her abilities are impressive. So, what brought her to this point in the first place if it wasn't a motivation? It is simply my personal curiosity. And arguing for her motivation being 'Sasuke' makes her abilities in the beginning of part 2 simply an attribution to her Uzumaki heritage (which is the only reason people give for her strength) or Orochimaru's experiments because there's no other explanation than that and thus, such reasoning I find incredibly lacking considering the interesting things she can do. Even using that as an excuse to defend a ship would only do it a disservice tbh. Uchiha can awaken their Sharingan but that strength still depends on the user. Anything handed to you is useless if you don't know how to use it, as we've seen with Naruto as Jinchuriki also. As well as his core reason to become stronger which wasn't ever simply to gain the Hokage title. In that sense, although a bit shallow, Karin becomes just this crazy girl that has a creepy obsession but can do really cool and useful things with her set of skills. Idk what else to say about it.

When it comes to Brittany S. Pierce, people’s interpretations are all over the place. It ranges anywhere from <3 innocent babie <3, to severely cognitively impaired, to manipulative liar who pretends to be stupid so others obey their will (which I’ll later accuse her mother of, but that’s neither here nor there). Anyways, I’m adding my opinion into the cacophony because, despite the indecisive fanbase, thorough Brittany meta is lacking in quantity. Also, I tend to think my opinion is best, as is human nature.
This analysis is rooted in autistic!Brittany, and while its unnecessary since I’ll go through many of her autistic characteristics, here’s a post detailing the headcanon and a medical article describing the diagnostic criteria in simple terms if you’re unfamiliar with the disorder. I understand that not everybody considers Britt neurodivergent, and that’s totally fine - I’m always up for a healthy conversation/debate! - but please give me a heads up if you plan to respond critically because a lot of this is based on my own experiences as an autistic teenage girl, so unmentioned critiques can feel personal fast. Now without further ado:
A Deep Dive Into Brittany S. Pierce <3
Auditory Processing Disorder “APD” is a subdivision of Sensory Processing Disorder “SPD” which is a quintessential element of an autism diagnosis. APD is pretty much exactly what it sounds (haha pun) like: despite somebody’s hearing abilities, the brain fails to process auditory input properly. The APD trait I hear discussed most in autism spaces is the inability to filter out background noises, but Britt seems to struggle most with interpreting meaning from words. Sometimes when people talk to me (“dolphins are just gay sharks”), even though they’re speaking clearly and I’m very literate in English, it sounds like jumbled nonsense (“dulfanz-our-goost-gae-shorcks”). This accounts for what I’m calling Brittany’s “so close you can taste it” lines. Think of her claim that Christopher Cross discovered America or that O is the capital of Ohio; a man named Christopher C. is indeed credited with discovering America and O is the only capital letter in Ohio. As a whole, they often misunderstand things told to them directly, and it seems a lot less foolish if she only understood half of what was being said via APD.
I’m calling the category of Brittany lines that can’t usually be rationalized as possible by anybody over seven (e.g. Rory the leprechaun, storks delivering babies, and anything with Lord Tubbington) the “stranger than fanfiction lines.” Now, I could take these at face value and say she’s tapping into a magical dimension, but I have my own set of autism driven realism issues, so, without a pre-existing fantasy world, I’m using my significant brainpower to twist Brittany into plausibility =D I ultimately think the best explanation for the stranger than fanfiction lines is echolalia. Echolalia is the repetition of words or phrases, and it’s usually associated with autism. Autistic people often reuse other people’s words, and since we usually think in pictures and have various social communication problems, it’s easier than formulating new sentences. Or we just like the tongue movements/sound a word makes. Personally, I quote songs a lot - if you say something loosely related to a Taylor Swift, musical, or Glee lyric, chances are I’ll sing it - and dipsomaniacal is a new fave to say randomly. There’s some evidence for Britt doing this in canon, unrelated to the stranger than fanfiction lines. While Brittany is known for calling him Blaine Warbler, it actually originated from Rachel and the infamous spin the bottle kiss. They also repeat ‘uber weird after Blaine in the That’s So Rachel reading, and the last line of that scene is them talking in time with Blaine, a behavior seen in S1 with Santana. However, it interests me most that she calls Artie a robot, as we see her dad call Stephen Hawkin, another wheelchair user, a robot in S6.
Basically, I blame the Pierces for how terribly adjusted their child is <3 (Mostly Whitney. Assuming Pierce actually has an IQ of 40, he’s disabled too and deserves some slack in terms of spreading misinformation.) In her admittedly limited screen time, Whitney manages to do two positive things: be an LGBTQ+ ally and let her younger daughter do soccer, I guess. Otherwise, she kept the truth about Stephen Hawking from Brittany for 20 years, cheated on her husband on their honeymoon for claiming infertility, crapped in random barns, insulted her husband’s intelligence, publicly insulted her husband’s appearance, and arguably restricted her daughter’s intellectual growth. To be honest, I realize Whitney isn’t that deep and I don’t actually hate her, but if people can hate Brittany for being a comedic character from the 2010s, I’ll do the same thing to their mother in defense of Brittany. Fight stop the violence with violence, baby! Anyways, I don’t think echolalia alone can explain the stranger than fanfiction lines. At least, not without a source. And that’s usually where upbringing comes in.
I’m ruling out nature automatically because there aren’t chromosomes telling people to believe in unicorns. Well, some people - including autistic people (hehe see what I’m doing here?) - are more inclined to believe falsehoods, but falsehoods have to be fed by someone else. With autism, the reckless believing tendencies come from literal thinking in part. Also, since SPD makes processing the outside world difficult, we often can’t recognize “obvious” truths in the first place. My extended family hated watching movies with me because I used to ask questions every five seconds lol. Setting Pierce aside because he seems to follow Whitney blindly; Brittany’s unnamed sister, Sue, and Whitney are the remaining suspects.
I assume Brittany’s sister is significantly younger than Britt because she played soccer with a seven-year-old in S1 (technically she could’ve been the coach, but that throws off my theory that the Klaine/Brittana wedding was child free), and children aren’t clever or mean enough to throw off anybody’s world view so badly :) Sue does seem the obvious answer, but she didn’t meet Brittany until they started high school, and she’s consistently baffled by Britt’s behavior despite encouraging her own eccentricities in the other Cheerios. And that leaves Whitney as the perpetrator, blaming her Scientology and gambling addiction on a cat.
Finally, I do think there’s a few times when Brittany intended for her jokes to be jokes. I don’t think it happens as much as you might expect, but there’s a scene in S3 when JBI is interviewing Brittany about her class president candidacy, and she tells him she’s voting for Rick “The Stick” Nelson before turning to Santana and laughing that clued me in. I think the mentality behind these lines (the “pun intended” category) is best explained with an anecdote from my own childhood.
When I was little - maybe six or seven - I really wanted to be funny. Well, I wanted to be liked, and since I didn’t understand social cues, my solution was humor because I knew my dad told jokes which made me laugh, which made him likable! Unfortunately, as a literal thinking child, I had no idea how to do this, which meant I parroted the only joke I knew (“What time is it when an elephant sits on the table?” “Time to get a new table!”) in hopes of chuckles. This went about as badly as you would expect. After a while, my parents got rightfully fed up with this joke and got me a joke book. I had no sense which of these jokes were funny, which wasn’t helped by most of the book being about taxes, bad marriages, and other stuff aimed at adults.
It wasn’t until a routine walk to the convenient store that my comedy dreams were fulfilled. My dad, little sister, and I used to walk to the “snack store” to buy a drink each and share a candy bar. While we had some routine favorites, we also tried out new candies together. However, there were a few bars my dad refused to buy because he’d disliked them prior to our snack store outings. Most infamous of these forbidden fruits was the Zero Bar. We tended to reference the Zero Bar when picking our next treat, and on this fateful day I said, “It’s called the Zero Bar because zero people like it.”
And my dad laughed. He laughed because of something I’d said. I was elated!
The only catch up was I hadn’t actually intended it as a joke. After all my attempts to be funny, the only thing that apparently worked was speaking my mind. This singular incident didn’t rewire my understanding of humor - I attempted the parroting tactic with the Zero Bar joke after all - but it’s the most pivotal moment in my mind. To this day, I play up my neurodivergent thought process to make others laugh. I reference Glee at seemly unrelated times with mock enthusiasm to callback times I’ve mentioned Glee with real enthusiasm or talk about my other interests in forced monotones.
There isn’t any actual evidence that Brittany has the same weird complex about humor, but some of their interactions regarding stupidity parallel it. In general, when they’re away from Santana, Brittany appears fairly insecure about her neurodivergence. I might even go as far as to say that she doesn’t joke without Santana around. Now, I don’t think Britt knows what her atypicalities are until they’re presumably diagnosed at M.I.T., but every neurodivergent person I know knew something was wrong before being diagnosed. (I want to talk about how Blaine’s diagnosed autism is a foil for Brittany’s undiagnosed autism at some point, but you didn’t sign up for autistic!Blaine, so now isn’t the time.)
Anddd, that’d pretty much it for now :) I intend to write more in depth Brittany meta in the future, but this is a decent overview for the time being. I hope this made you think, and I’d love to hear your thoughts if it did!

I watched dwd yesterday and thinking back on comments about harry’s character I kinda get why young inexperienced girls would talk like that about jack… his character is fully undeveloped… in the simulation he doesn’t do anything, he doesn’t act bad or say disturbing things, he doesn’t do anything fishy, he’s just there… spoiler but even when he lets them take Alice when she wanted to escape he’s not actively doing something, he’s just there crying… you could think that frank is the big bad guy and that jack doesn’t have freedom either, because at that point you still don’t know anything about jack. And his real persona is showed for like 3 minutes and the only thing they show to explain is him being an annoying codependent baby who can’t even make his own dinner… that’s your explanation? If I didn’t know anything more about the story, which I know only because I’m in the fandom, I wouldn’t excuse him either way but I wouldn’t hate him as much. And I didn’t think harry’s acting was that bad, I totally think critics who gave him bad ratings did that for clout, because if I (who have zero cinema expertise) can see that his character isn’t well written(and well directed probably) I’m sure they could too. Obviously we don’t know if his inability for the role was what made them screw up his character but even that would be their fault, like you don’t make a musical with an actor who can’t sing do you?
Hi darling. I agree with this so much. My friend who saw the initial screening said very much the same thing about Harry’s character—you never really understand if you’re supposed to sympathize with him or not.
And I totally agree that most people who tore into Harry’s acting ability did it to jump on the hate bandwagon. No one expected a rave review for his acting in this one, but I can’t imagine it’s as bad as some made it sound. To not make a mention of the weak script and lack of direction just makes those reviews seem like a personal attack.
Tumblr media
I tend to think the script wasn’t changed much for Harry because Olivia was still begging Shia to come back days before Harry was announced as taking over the role which was only a couple of weeks before filming began. But who knows?

hello vic!! I’d love your thoughts if you have the time.. sometime.. thank you.. i’m a teacher and i struggle so much. what I would love your thoughts on is the concept of self validation and self love. And some… encouragement to let go of the opinions of others. Because when I mess up at work, which I do a lot, and when I’m criticized, I feel so unsafe. And devastated. not even actual criticism but the ‘what if’ thoughts get to me too.. And I can’t stop thinking about it. And then I numb myself through social media. Because when I’m alone with my thoughts they tell me how bad I am, how I could have done so many things differently, and it’s so hard. all of it
hello! 🧡🐅 what do you feel goes well when you teach? what do you enjoy? or what do you do without first experiencing through a more self-critical perception? i find for me whenever i've been embarassed or self-critical about something i otherwise want to pursue/do, moving focus to the act of doing it - rather than performing it, can be helpful. when you work with people it can soften our fear of messing up to move focus from ourselves to what we can do for others. what does your body expect will happen when you mess up? when you're criticized? what do you think about yourself in that moment and later, looking back? are those feelings and thoughts ones that have been created yourself or ones you've picked up from other people's lack of space for you/understanding/patience, etc.? there's no right answer, just explore. what do your what if's look like? there's a sort of reflection in being afraid to be criticized plus not having space for one's own uncomfortable feelings. there might been experiences of people in your life not meeting your accidents with grace, maybe projecting ill intention or other misunderstandings on your mistakes. if we haven't been modeled others' ability to sit with our uncomfortable feelings and taught to sit with our own - however would we know how? it makes sense to avoid feelings where our traumatic theme is that we aren't allowed to exist/be as we are when we experience them or the circumstances that bring them about

I really appreciate all of the links and information in that post you reblogged about the Israeli prison/detainment policies/abuses (not sure the best wording for all of that horror tbh)… but the OP post of that talking about the condition of hostages vs prisoners released doesn’t make sense to me at all. Are they saying the hostages released are supposed to be some kind of reflection of being treated well during captivity? cause I’ve read about a hostage who was shot multiple times and needed surgery, another on the brink of death because of lack of medication, a 12 year old boy who said he was beat by residents, another child being forced to watch footage, etc. I don’t understand why we can’t acknowledge the absolute horrors Israel is committing while also not trying to turn Hamas into angelic freedom fighters with the purest of morals. Things like this make it really hard for me to reblog or share stuff on social media cause I can agree with 95% of the information but then I’ll realize “oh that link hidden in this post actually goes to an alt right neo nazi website” or “oh snuck in the middle of this really great article is the most glaring of antisemitic rhetoric”… anyway, I’m sorry for the rant here I’m just… exhausted. By the world and also sometimes by my fellow pro Palestinian advocates.
I am also exhausted by it sometimes, and not immune to getting swept up in the emotions of all of this as much as I'm trying to stay reasonable. I agree the way OP worded the original post was not ideal, if it had been just that without the longer and well-sourced reply I don't think I would have reblogged it. Because you're right, criticism of Israel can't devolve into acting like Hamas by default is an amazing upstanding moral organization. That's kindergarten nonsense, this need to have a well defined Good Guy and Bad Guy in every situation. Adults should be capable of more nuance than that, and it's really frustrating to see that so many aren't.
I think for me - because I don't know the intentions of that other person and can't speak for them - posts like that are not about saying 'wow look how wonderful Hamas is'. They are about the more zoomed-out task of challenging the Western/Imperial narrative that Israel isn't doing anything wrong. The 'right to defend itself' narrative, that is just blatant nonsense under international law. The narrative that when Hamas does something it's terrorism but when the state of Israel does the same thing (or, usually, a far worse version of the same thing), it's not. The narrative that Israel is the moral authority who is following international law to the best of their ability, is trying to minimize civilian casualties, is only going after Hamas, has no choice but to bomb hospitals because there is no other way to protect their own citizens. It's not for me about saying that just because Israel is bad, Hamas is automatically good. It's about acknowledging that for literal decades, the broadcasters of the Western narrative (governments in America/Canada/UK, corporate owned media companies like CNN and MSNBC, etc) have been just blatantly lying, propagandizing, and selectively presenting partial or twisted information, all in service of empire and money and colonization and the enrichment of defense contractors. Joe Biden said, years ago, (paraphrasing because I can't remember the exact quote) "If Israel didn't exist, America would have to invent an Israel to protect it's interests in the region."
I don't know if that makes sense, I hope it does. For me it's about .. yes, push back against people who are trying to make this a binary situation in which Israel is Bad therefore Hamas is Good. But also seeing more value in a more zoomed out perspective that is meant to challenge extremely pervasive and genocidal Western narratives that have gone largely unchallenged for the entire history of the region. Sometimes you do get there by drawing equivalencies. By asking "wait a second, why does Israel have thousands of Palestinian hostages in the first place and why does no one in power seem to think that's a problem?"

I find it dumb that some people are gonna be like "Persephone is 30 now so her romance with Hades is perfect now" like, buddy, she could be 70 but she has barely lived like 1% of what Hades has lived, and why do I care if she's 30 if she acts and looks like a 19 y/o, if you're gonna use that 3000-year-old-l*li argument, then her romance with Hades, a +2000 year old guy, is creepier from the begining
3. Teen Hebe looks exactly like her mother, RS really has no understanding of character design smfh
4. NGL I'm kinda impressed with just how bad S2 has been. IDK why its this way, RS' lack of writing ability finally being too obvious to ignore? Her refusing to listen to her editor? Her being lazy and stealing ideas from other comics/fanfics/theories like she's done before? General burn out? Writing herself into way too many corners and her now flailing/burning it all down to doing whatever the hell this is? Who knows, but it's shockingly bad.
5. Def my favorite thing the stans try to do is claim the comic is actually “super diverse” and they post like .. one panel of a non-name nymph that’s drawn bigger or whatever and claim that’s actual representation. Like no?? If you can’t even name the character and they can easily be cut out of the comic with nothing being changed, that’s not representation at all. Far from it actually.
From OP: Exactly!
Reminding me of the ‘RS is normalizing breastfeeding’ posts I saw recently. It’s literally Ancient Greece, of course the nymphs with babies will breastfeed. I’m positive they haven't developed formula in the mortal realm. I don’t think getting excited over it is a bad thing at all but it’s disappointing because it’s the bare minimum.
6. gotta love GOTTA LOVE RS having persephone say her attitude when she was 7 years old was "internalized misogyny" like... I swear I could hear her thinking "hmm how can I address all the criticism I've been getting in the vaguest way possible?" like something about that moment feels very performative, as a way to throw a crumb to those with valid criticisms of her fantasy racism and complete double standards when it comes to the women she portrays
7. Not sure how this will all be handled in part 2 of season 2 (badly probably considering how bad the first few chapters are) but I think what ultimately bothers me so much about fans attacking and criticizing Demeter is that she’s not proven wrong.
What I mean is - when someone decides to do an overbearing parent storyline, typically they are supposed to show how the parent is right, but also wrong in not letting the child do something. Demeter not letting Persephone interact with Olympus was done because she felt Olympus was bad and would hurt her child - she is proven right because the gods use and abuse each other (especially women) and treat Mortals, Nymphs, Shades, and other non-gods as expendable trash.
However, what we don’t really get is Demeter being proven wrong. Sure, Persephone finds a friend in Eros and falls in love with Hades - but Hades is basically a romanticized, rich, slave driver that treats everyone around him badly. Eros doesn’t respect Persephone’s choices and forces himself into her business quite a few times. Persephone’s only real female friends, Artemis and Hera, also don’t really treat her well either. Artemis completely misreads her and Hera literally tries to set her up with her ex lover even though she’s barely an adult.
What we really needed to see was some positive aspects of Olympus- Hades actually being a decent person, Persephone finding true friendships, maybe groups that help lower-class beings, or Persephone finding something good at her university- something that proves to Demeter that while Olympus can be dangerous, it can be good too. I’m just not seeing the good at all, and that’s what makes it hard for me to paint Demeter as an abuser. If anything, all I’m seeing is a justified mother and a bratty, man-obsessed daughter who doesn’t respect her own privileged upbringing.
8. How can "the other kings became kings because they took advantage of a fertility goddess" make any sense when Uranus is a sky god just like Zeus (sky-->rain-->fertility) and Cronus is literally an earth god, he carries a sickle fcol

I got a Hogwarts thing for ya
So Gryffindors, right.
They’ve got poor impulse control, they’re headstrong and good leaders, and they have the mental ability to overcome most/ all challenges if faced by fear (aka courage lol).
The Sorting Hat puts you in your forever-category on your first night at Hogwarts. You then spend all day every single day with those people at different stages of evolving into Level 8 Houses, you as well. You become accustomed to this.
Second Year Gryffs are starting to get the hang of things- they know their way around the castle well enough, and they’ve learned to be loud for attention. But if someone asked them to down an entire box of every flavor-beans, they’ll still hesitate to the challenge.
Fifth Years are pretty much sick of school. They’re zoned into reality in class less than ten percent of the time. They’re willing to either cram for the OWLs less than twelve hours before them or fail, they don’t care by this point. If someone dared them to jump off the tower they’d do it. The only adult they’ll still listen to with zero question is McGonagall.
Seventh Years… oh man. Skipping classes. Literally zero filter or common sense, if they had any before. Underage drinking and/or magic, maybe even around the Muggle friends they trust. Nearly every single one of them has broken their wand at least once and had to get it fixed or replaced. Not a single bone in their body hasn’t been broken, bent, or dislocated at least once as well.
Now our Hufflepuffs. Puff people are kind and considerate, patient as well, and they’re good peacekeepers as well as deescalation MASTERS.
First Years are almost too soft- sometimes the older ones will giggle when one of them tries to carry books for three of their friends as well as their own from class to class, because they haven’t quite gotten the hang on what it actually means to be kind and not bend over backwards for everyone.
Third Years are usually at the stage when Puffs master the ability to chill other people out. Sometimes they even have luck getting Gryffs to sit down and realize it’s not a good plan to steal from Snape’s secret potions closet, although that’s still pretty rare (you can’t really talk a Gryff out of a dare, but everyone’s tried at least once). They can be right alongside teachers pulling fighting students apart, and they tend to be the right-brained class teachers’ favorites (botany, DATDA).
Seventh Years are gods at mediation and have really got a grasp on kindness and sympathy. They’re the only successful ones to get Gryffs to think things through, get Ravenclaws to take care of themselves, and Slytherins to not carry out murders in the middle of potions class. If you need to talk to someone, you go to an older Hufflepuff.
Ravenclaws are wise, have good judgement, and think logically. Sometimes they lack in the emotional intelligence and compassion department, but they make up for it in quick thinking and good grades.
Second Year Ravenclaws are acing all their classes and have been since day 1. They don’t love every class, like botany and magical creatures, but they study during meals and before sleep. All their focus is on having good grades because that’s what they think it means to be smart, and while the older kids pat them on the back, they try to explain that good grades and intelligence aren’t the same thing.
They don’t fully get that until around fifth year. They’ve improved their critical thinking and puzzling skills, they’ve accidentally hurt people’s feelings, and their sleep schedule is somewhat decent. They’re all addicted to coffee, but they know what amount is healthy. They finally understand that they weren’t picked for the house because of their grades, but because they can challenge their minds. They let up on themselves (at least a little) by sixth year.
Seventh Years don’t sleep. Their grades are decent enough but not perfect. They’ll deadass tell the riddle painting to fuck off and it’ll open. They make ungodly concoctions of Red Bull, coffee, extra shots of espresso, and who knows what the fuck else to last 38 hours on like 40 minutes of sleep. GOD tier Minecraft and Animal Crossing builds (that’s how older Ravenclaws are categorized- Minecraft or AC lol). They know spells that have been long forgotten, but most of them are relatively harmless- showers of sparks that don’t really do anything, conjuring pigeons that only live for three hours, things like that. They get together with Slytherins to make up long words that sound like spells, but really are just gibberish and enjoy the way Gryffs squirm uncomfortably.
Slytherins are cunning, ambitious, cutthroat, and really good liars. They are loyal to an absolute fault- they’d kill and die for people they care about. No one can match their sarcasm or insults, and Gryffindors are the only ones who come even close to their humor and meme references.
First Years are too over-the-top with their bigotry and asshole-ness, and the older ones do their best to beat that out of them. Flick in the side of the head for racism, extra ASL homework for homophobia, running fucking laps for sexism and slurs. By second year, they learn not to fuck with other people in a genuinely mean way… at least most of the time.
Third Year Slytherins are fluent in sign language to speak with the mermaids of the lake and fully use that to their advantage- signing at each other in class to cheat on tests, making fun of dumb assignments, things like that. They’ve been fluent in sarcasm since First, but they’ve mastered perfect insults and clapbacks like omg-
Seventh Years are so scary no one but Seventh Year Gryffs are willing to fuck with them. They could kill with a glare, they manage to make school uniform look fire in a way no one else seems to be able to get right, and one sideways look in a friend’s direction and you’ll be hexed for weeks. They protect every little, not just from their own house, from jock Gryffs, emotionless Ravenclaws, lecturing Puff People. But they won’t babysit. Don’t ask us for that.

Okay I think I’ll just compile my episode reactions together in one post. I don’t wanna fill my blog with numerous posts where I’m just liveblogging but also I can’t keep my mouth shut while watching these episodes apparently jgklsfg
Rambling stream of consciousness and reactions under the cut
Episode 987:
...Kinemon why are we changing the plan? Why are you changing Law’s plan? I do understand why if it’s because he’s worried for Momo, but also it’s making me worried because they just showed people criticizing Kinemon’s lack of abilities in making good plans so I’m worried about him deciding to split up his forces.....
Sanji you’re on main. I’ll give your character more attention again when you’ve pulled yourself together. I’m glad there were no women for you in the pleasure hall. Remain bitchless.
Eustass Kid and Killer have me sobbing. I’m a puddle. I adore these two’s relationship. I adore Killer being stunned by how much love and support he’s being shown by his captain and the crew after feeling like he’s been ruined by Orochi. How Kid knows how much this is affecting Killer regardless of how quiet Killer is about the whole thing, and how willing Kid is to murder anyone who even so much as laughs at Killer.
Episode 988:
Luffy angrily (who has, himself, also shattered the plan into a million pieces) : “GIZAO, STICK TO THE PLAN!” Kid: “Shove it up your ass!”
Okay I had to pause I was laughing so hard gjskflg I love them both so much. Also Luffy I’m actually gonna side with Kid on this one. You and Zoro got a pass on causing a scene because those assholes are intentionally wasting red bean soup while a little girl has to live her life starving and drinking polluted water to the point where eating a bowl of soup had sent her into tears. Kid absolutely gets a pass on tearing apart those who laugh at Killer.
Zoro: “It must be tough, having a captain so quick with his fists.” Killer: “No, it’s not. Kid is great.”
I’M GONNA SOB. STOP. I’M ALREADY DOWN ON THE GROUND. KILLER.
ZORO RESPONDING “Well, my situation’s not so different from yours.”
gay. gay. homosexuals. gay. God the first mates are so down bad for their captains. I love this exchange between them.
MARCO!!!!!!!!!! MARCO IS HERE!!! HELLO DEAR! ;;;v;;;;; I’m so glad he decided to come and help the Straw Hats and the Kozuki clan~ I just really really hope Whitebeard’s home does remain safe while he’s away. I was not going to fault him for wanting to be the guardian of Whitebeard’s last treasure. AND IZOU IS HERE!!! OH I’M GLADDDDD! My god he deserves to reunite with his sister after being being away from each other for over 20 years.
Momo. oh my poor boy. Baby hang in there. I hold this boy gently. He’s been through so much ;;;; Isn’t he like. 8 years old!? Yeah he’s 8 years old. My god.
POLAR TANG!!!! HELLO MY HEART PIRATES! Look at them go~ Love Law’s complete faith in them. And how they’re also confident they can pull off maneuvering the Polar Tang in the dangerous currents. He is their anchor.
Annnnnd, we’re back with Luffy and Zoro gjskjfg. Bless. “A dead end. You lost your way, didn’t you, Zoro?” GJSKFG I love his teasing Zoro but also... Luffy you’re standing right next to him. You’re as lost as he is. “No, We’ll just cut our path through.” “Okay, quietly though. We can’t ruin the plan.” Ah yes, just quietly cut down an entire wall inside the building. You two totally haven’t thrown the plan completely out the window already. God I love these idiots.
ENMA?!?! YOU GRAB *ENMA* TO QUIETLY CUT DOWN THE WALL?! Zoro I know you want to break in that sword and you’re obsessed with your new cursed spirit but- BOY. No.
Episode 989:
Godspeed Chopper. Being chased by fucking Big Mom herself? Terrifying.
I am so fascinated by Kanjuro as a villain. Some so detached from any sense of self. Unable to form opinions. Just seeing all those years he spent as a samurai and protecting the Kozuki family being just a ‘role’ he was playing. God, One Piece and all their traumatized kids. I love how different Oda has had trauma change and shape them. those like Law and Corazon and Momonosuke vs Doflamingo and Orochi and Kanjuro.
Izou you are so hot. That’s all I have to say about that brief conversation between the small whitebeard gang. Izou is just. Gender af.
OH OKAY, SPEAKING OF HOT APPARENTLY! Denjirooooo! Oh my god he’s so impressive. Love this man. Him slipping off his kimono to reveal the Kozuki crest on his back to reveal his identity to Sasaki, his former ally who trusted him? HOT.
Chopper with a rocket launcher gjsklfg I also love that the very powerful gun on the tank Franky made sounds like a clown honk. Why. gjslkdjg okay but I do love this whole ‘fight’. It’s so wonderful and ridiculous. Hang in there buds ;;;;

What is Taehyung like as a boyfriend or husband?
🥰
Like husband
He does something every day and every day he thinks about what he did and how. He really wants to meet the desires of another and make him happy.
If it seems to him that he does not know how to do something, he learns, whether it be cooking, sexual skills or the native language of another. He is ready to read special literature, consult a psychologist, improve his appearance at the hairdresser and in the gym, and so on. In a word, he is working on it, and very successfully. The explanation is simple - he is interested in something else and wants to demonstrate the best of what he can. He can, looking into his eyes, say “Tell me how - I will do it.”
He has an affectionate and responsive attitude, the ability to rejoice and please the other. He tries to find emotional and spiritual intimacy and gratitude.
He will try to keep the spark, flirt with a partner.
At the same time, not a single flaw, shortcoming or weak spot will hide from him, he has a clear vision of them. He is demanding and critical both as a spouse and as a parent. Susceptibility, special trust in feelings, as well as children’s and women’s tears are not listed here. Next to him, you always have to become an order of magnitude stronger and smarter, and this can be very useful for overall development, but you won’t be able to warm up and romantically “melt” next to this rocky nature. In relationships, he should be “interesting”, and the emotions that make up their fabric are rarely interesting to him; the alienating mind treats them carelessly.
He can show his joy and love with almost nothing, but crush him in a fit of cold rage, if something happened “against the wool.”
bad husband side
Constant apathy and not wanting to leave the house. Think it over a thousand times before you do something, because “what will people say.” Indecision. You will always be to blame for everything, he is a saint.
All decisions will be yours, but…
Taehyung love language
Sex, comfort, plans.
His love language is to provide comfort to his soulmate. If his girlfriend is unhappy, or uncomfortable, or something like that, then his party as a “boyfriend” has failed. Comfort is both mental and material.
I think everything is clear with sex? He loves to please not only himself but also his partner. It is also his love language. He likes to show how, where and why he loves you very much, and also sentences for what.
Planning for the future, joint trips, or going to the store.
Firstly, Taehyung is not a romantic, as I said, he is a pragmatist, a rationalist, and so on. He is one of those who needs to be told exactly what and how you want. If you want romance - please. He will. He has a fairly conscious attitude towards relationships. If you don’t speak, it means that everything suits you. And you don’t have to do anything.
I do not understand all the “terrible” that they will not have romance in a relationship. Firstly, children are creatures that require the power of money and one hundred percent care. Education.
Do you think you have the strength to romance? Don’t forget to wash at least, and try to eat. Eternal lack of sleep, because the child is sick, teeth are being cut and a thousand more reasons to cry.
Parents are stressed, especially if this is their first child.
You will forget how to talk, eat normally, and go to the toilet - romance will worry you last. If you are the right person. If you are not a particularly adequate person, then against the background of hormonal failure and stress, your roof will go quietly, because Taehyung is a celebrity, he has filming, and blah blah and he is practically not at home. The feeling of helplessness and uselessness will play a bad joke. Claims, nit-picking, scandals will begin. Plus he can go out and have fun with his friends - you can’t. You “mother” should stay at home.
Therefore, this topic can still add suspicion of treason and all in one osprey.
Sex can also suffer, because the first three months - you have a torn vagina, plus you could (and most likely did) catch some kind of infectious disease in the hospital. Treatment also takes time. And after you already “can” - you already have no time. Yes, I don’t argue, there are nannies and assistants, because you have money, but then they will say about you that you abandoned your child and, in general, you are such a mother. Your choice?
And this is not a tarot reading, and not an evil Taehyung, this is life that hits harder. And you yourself are also to blame for this.
taehyung as boyfriend
Generous, unpredictable, aloof.
We can say that he is not in a relationship for the most part. Most likely often starts wearing simply because. And he regrets it himself, quickly finishing them. He does not like conflicts, but most likely they cannot be avoided, perhaps the girls begin to make claims, and he quickly merges them.
Unsteady in actions. shocking behaviour. Most likely, he can just get up and leave in the middle of a date if he didn’t like something, or got bored, or something like that. At the same time, at the same time, he can arrive at three in the morning, just to talk. Or something like that, confess your feelings. His confessions are always unexpected. Most likely, the girl may think that the guy does not like her, or they are in a quarrel. But in fact, he comes and, for example, confesses his love. Something that is not expected in standard situations. He may not have the usual reaction.
Generous. caring, likes to give gifts for the sake of a gift. At the same time, he knows the value of money and most likely his gift will be mega thought out, based on all your preferences. This is for example the very fragrance of perfume that you were looking for three years ago. Or exactly the color that was needed. His love is in the details.
Shows the best side of himself. He likes to be seen as a successful, secure and stable partner. Dislikes drama and excitement. Will try to make the relationship comfortable. Enthusiast. Likes new places and new ideas. Will offer something new all the time, or something that has already been tested by time.
Likes to chat about the future, make plans. But he does not like to embody.
Sexually liberated, stubborn.

ChatGPT Is Going to Replace Developers?
Tumblr media
You must be a developer yourself or an IT businessman who just stumbled upon the title and was shocked. Right? And if you work as a developer, you’re probably concerned about your job security. Its craze in the past few days got you questioning “is ChatGPT going to replace developers?” A lot of things must be going through your mind right now like what will happen if you lose your job and so on.
You should be since GPT is a powerful language generation model. Generative Pre-Trained Transformer, or GPT, is an AI program capable of creating texts that actually resemble those written by humans.
So without wasting much of your time and raising your anxiety level, let’s dive into the topic.
What Is ChatGPT?
OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT says, “We’ve trained a model called ChatGPT which interacts in a conversational way. The dialogue format makes it possible for ChatGPT to answer follow-up questions, admit its mistakes, challenge incorrect premises, and reject inappropriate requests. ChatGPT is a sibling model to InstructGPT, which is trained to follow instructions in a prompt and provide a detailed response.”
Therefore, ChatGPT can help you with anything, including writing articles, poems, books, SEO keywords for blogs, article outlines, AI art, etc. And not just this. ChatGPT can also write code and help DIY electronic engineers and open-source software developers by editing their code.
The bot can create concise websites and programs using JavaScript, Python, and React. It can also help develop new programming languages and find bugs in existing programs.
How ChatGPT Works?
But developers will still be needed to take care of the front-end and back-end of websites.
Can ChatGPT Replace Programmers?
Let’s see some more reasons:
Inability to execute code:
The inability of chat GPTs to execute code is one reason they cannot completely replace programmers. While GPT can produce text that resembles code, it is unable to execute the code or comprehend how it functions. On the other hand, programmers have a thorough understanding of the operation of various programming languages and are trained to write, debug, and maintain code.
Generate inaccurate results:
ChatGPT, a big language model is continuously trained to increase the precision of its responses. But because this is a brand-new technology, the model has not yet received enough training. As a result, there is a high probability of getting wrong answers from ChatGPT.
In fact, ChatGPT has been temporarily banned by StackOverflow. They did this in order to reduce the volume of responses and other ChatGPT-produced content. According to them, posting answers generated by ChatGPT is seriously detrimental to both the website and users who are posing questions and seeking accurate answers.
ChatGPT lacks the ability to think critically:
Another reason why ChatGPT can’t replace programmers is their inability to think critically or rationally. It can no doubt produce logical and reasonable texts but can’t solve complex problems. It can’t do the reasoning as humans do.
Programmers are skilled at problem-solving and analysis, and they can analyze intricate systems effortlessly.
Lack of creativity and idea generation:
Another reason why ChatGPT will not replace developers is their lack of creativity and new idea generation. While people can think of receiving original texts, ChatGPT actually rearranges already available words and phrases.
But when humans do the same thing, they will try to add creativity and come up with new ideas. Humans will always want to give an emotional touch with which people can feel connected immediately. And this is obviously not possible with AI tools like ChatGPT.
However, there are a few advantages too.
What Are the Advantages of Using ChatGPT?
ChatGPT will not replace programmers, can’t do what humans can do but can certainly be a helping hand in programming tasks. It can make your life somewhat easier.
Programmers can save time using ChatGPT:
ChatGPT can help you complete a programming task more quickly if you are having trouble with it. It makes your life easier so that you can concentrate on more important things by taking care of the tedious tasks for you.
Developers can increase their productivity with ChatGPT:
ChatGPT can boost your productivity by assisting you with your programming tasks. You can concentrate on the more crucial components of your work while leaving the menial tasks to the chatbot.
ChatGPT can assist you in learning new things:
The ability to learn new things is one of ChatGPT’s best features. ChatGPT can explain a concept to you in a way that is simple to understand if you are having trouble understanding it.
As a result, you will be able to pick up new programming concepts more quickly and improve as a programmer.
Final Words
ChatGPT is fantastic and useful for a variety of purposes. But the most important thing we should keep in mind is it’s just a tool and not a replacement for people. As a developer, you could think of it as an additional GitHub co-pilot. It might be useful when creating reusable code or something similar.
But when it comes to the question that whether ChatGPT will replace developers, the answer is NO. ChatGPT only provides you with raw text without any links or citations. But to verify and make the answers accurate humans will have to put in the effort.
If used in the right way, ChatGPT can become a handy tool for developers but not their replacements. Companies will still need to hire developers.
And for that what is better than hiring remote developers from BookMyTalent? To know more about us and our services don’t hesitate to visit our official website.

IMPORTANT TIPS TO IDENTIFY YOUR CHILD’S PRIMARY LEARNING STYLE
Tumblr media
Children have the primal urge to learn and discover the world around them. And they use every medium at their disposal to do so – from touching and smelling, to tasting, hearing, and asking an adult!
As they grow and learn more, they begin to develop a distinct learning pattern. In International Schools in Bangalore
an early appreciation of a child’s preferential learning style can help you to encourage them to learn better.
According to research, there are three prominent learning patterns-
• Kinesthetic Learners: Kinesthetic learners use physical methods to grasp and acquire a particular piece of information. These kinds of learners have aptitude in sports, dance, and other physical activities. The learners have sharp hand-eye coordination.
• Visual Learners: Visual learners are observers of the world around them and love art. These kinds of lear• Auditory Learnersners are inclined towards reading books and learn using pictures. They have an interest in art and have a vivid imagination.
• Auditory Learners: Auditory learners use audio tools to learn and retain information in the best possible way. These kinds of learners have the aptitude for music, instruments, or vocal ability. They have the ability to listen well and follow verbal directions.
Now that you are aware of the three learning patterns or styles, let’s see how you can determine your child’s primary learning style.
Observe Your Child’s Actions
Tumblr media
When a child is more comfortable learning in a certain style, they will also be more expressive through that same style. Watch how your child expresses themselves. For instance, an auditory learner will be able to express itself through words. They can express themselves completely by telling how they feel and what happened in a particular situation.
International Schools in Bangalore while a visual learner will be able to express themselves through facial expressions. They can understand people better as they are keen observers. Similarly, a kinesthetic learner will make more use of their hands and gestures. They like to touch everything and experience practically.
Consider Your Child’s Interest
Tumblr media
In International Schools in Bangalore A child’s primary learning style is also normally reflected in their interests. An auditory learner is much interested in music. They get easily distracted by sounds and voices. Visual learners are more inclined towards reading and watching TV, as both these provide visual simulation. A kinesthetic learner can’t sit in one place for a long time. They need to move as that helps them to learn better. They take part in activities like swimming, gym, and other physical activities.
Multiple Learning Style Quizzes
Ask your child to take multiple learning style quizzes. These quizzes will help your child to develop all the three learning patterns and they would not lack any. In International Schools in Bangalore Quizzes help your child to think critically and examine every situation deeply. On the other hand, these quizzes will help you determine what your child’s learning style is.
Match Your Teaching Style with Child’s Learning Style
Whether you are teaching your child at home or helping them in their homework, make sure that the way you teach matches the child’s learning style. For auditory learners, you can read the chapter out loud or introduce some rhyme and song descriptions. Visual learners can be taught through flashcards, drawings, and educational videos. In International Schools in Bangalore Kinesthetic learners should be encouraged to make a model of what you are teaching. For example, if you are teaching about the volcano, ask them to actually build a model of it. This kind of teaching will help children to enhance their skills and take active participation in learning.
Do Not Limit To Single Learning Style
International Schools in Bangalore some children may have a combination of learning styles, so don’t expect them to completely identify with a single style. Cater to your child’s learning style. Select an educational program that complements their learning style. Encourage your child to take part in all kinds of activities and do not limit them to what they excel.
Conclusion
We at Harvest International School believe, it’s important to recognize learning patterns early and mold studies according to the pattern for children in International Schools in Bangalore. As a parent, you must know how to identify the primary learning styles in children but at the same time, you must not limit them to a single learning style. Learning styles are not set in stone and can sometimes shift as a child develops and matures. So do not assume that the child will always have a single interest in learning patterns, they might develop new styles as they grow.

'Patience is wearing thin,' for Maritimers who question if utilities ready for storms
Some Maritimers who lost power for days after post-tropical storm Fiona are questioning whether power utilities have properly prepared their grids for the powerful storms that are increasingly battering the region.
"Most of Nova Scotia has the expectation that if the wind blows sideways, there's a potential to lose power," Amanda Dodsworth said in an interview Wednesday, as she spent a fourth morning in the dark.
She said in her neighbourhood 10 kilometres from the centre of Halifax, post-tropical storm Fiona landed with less ferocity than in northeastern Nova Scotia and Cape Breton, taking down branches rather than toppling large trees and snapping poles.
"There's a lot of damage where you can't figure out why it's taking so long to fix," Dodsworth said. "I think some of the issue is there's a lack of general maintenance of the lines and poles and things."
Meanwhile, Halifax Regional Municipality councillor Sam Austin said he has had a steady stream of emails from residents of Dartmouth Centre struggling to understand why the apparently limited damage has kept power out for close to a week, when damage from hurricane Juan in 2003 seemed far worse.
"People's patience is wearing thin," said Austin, whose background is urban planning.
"We're going to have start hardening our infrastructure, especially our electrical systems because doing things the same old way we've been doing it isn't going to cut it any more."
During a briefing on Wednesday afternoon, Matt Drover, who is managing Nova Scotia Power's response to Fiona, said the privately owned utility was coping with thousands of broken lines and hundreds of damaged poles. About 415,000 customers lost power during Fiona, and the utility said that as of Wednesday, the lights were back on for more than three quarters of those.
However, in recent years the utility has repeatedly come in for criticism, receiving a fine of $250,000 from its regulator in 2020 for failing to meet reliability standards, including standards for the frequency and length of power outages.
Drover said the utility, which is owned by Halifax-based Emera, has been making progress in strengthening its network. "What we focus on is tree trimming. We spend over $20 million (annually) on vegetation management throughout the province ... that is the best thing we can do to prevent power outages going forward," he said Wednesday.
He also said while some residents may see just a few branches down, it's possible the cause of the outage is a much larger tree that has fallen "further up the line."
Kevin Mullen, the chief executive of a Halifax-based renewable energy firm -- GreenQuest Power -- said he believes the oversight model for Nova Scotia Power has to change to give the regulator the ability to impose stronger penalties if reliability standards aren't met.
"The only way to solve the problem is to force Nova Scotia Power to be accountable .... You have to say, 'This fine is going to be more of a cost to you than non-performance.' When you bring it to that point, the company will start to turn around," he said in an interview Wednesday.
He said there are is a lot of "low-hanging fruit" available for improvements, including burying lines, increased tree trimming and upgrading transformers.
In Prince Edward Island, 90 per cent of customers were without power at the height of the storm on Saturday. Maritime Electric -- a subsidiary of Fortis Inc. -- reported Thursday morning that about half those outages, or 41,000 customers, had seen their power restored.
Terry Gamble, who owns a cottage in Canoe Cove, P.E.I., said Wednesday her community had been without electricity since the post-tropical storm struck late Friday.
She said she is one of the lucky ones because she also owns a condo in Charlottetown, which is on the hospital grid and had power restored within 48 hours.
However, rural areas have no streetlights leaving residents in pitch darkness and without heat as the days get shorter and chillier, she said.
"It is very frustrating," she said. "I mean, we are going back ... into the 1800s." Gamble said there is a lot of talk about burying power lines to prevent such widespread blackouts.
"It would be at an enormous cost. But then you I guess you have to weigh it (against other costs). I guess it all comes down to what we as individuals are prepared to invest in the moment, or potential in the future," she said.
Kim Griffin, a spokeswoman for Maritime Electric, maintains that the grid held up well overall. "The fact is we build to Canadian standards," she said at a briefing Wednesday.
She also said the utility is working on a study assessing the impacts of climate change in the coming decades that will be released later this year, and more planning on infrastructure will occur after that is complete.
"It's not something you can go and invest in your system overnight," she said.

I feel like a good way to go about the internet is to have an understanding that you're just as bad as the rest of them. Because of the society we all live in and our lack of an ability to know exactly what everyone is going through, we all have this filth on us. Everyone's racist, everyone's homophobic, everyone's ableist. I feel like if you see yourself as say, not homophobic, and you do something homophobic and receive people telling you as such, it's so much easier to lash out about it and not change. To you, homophobes are purely evil and bad, and you could never be that. But if you have the understanding that you have that homophobia inside of you, just by virtue of growing up where you did, it can be easier to understand why what you did was homophobic and you can change your actions easier.
Another tool that can make this easier is the ability to grab important information when someones screaming at you. A lot of activism online, or at least from what I see, is people lashing out. People going on long rants that essentially say "Everyone who does x is an awful horrible person that can't be redeemed." The ability is to look at that and understand that because this person is so angry, they can't think critically about what they're saying. They're not thinking about how this could affect anyone reading this. However, seeing as these rants are so popular and everywhere, if you ever want to learn how to improve yourself you need to look past the anger and find the problem that needs fixing.
An example of this would be a rant I went on a few months ago. I was very upset at all the people who wouldn't tag or give any warning towards a reader being female:
Tumblr media
In this I call the people I would like some change from "lazy self-absorbed assholes" because of my anger. If you are one of those people you might not want to change because of my open hostility. It may even make you want to spite me and keep on not tagging a female y/n. Posts like these are everywhere and I can't imagine they're going anywhere, which is why we need to adapt to read these with a critical mind. If you look past the anger and the insults, you'll see the problem at hand is that I'm getting gender dysphoria because some authors don't specify a reader being female. I should've went right out and said that, but I couldn't due to my anger. But because you have this skill, you recognize that. So now you can change your behavior (if you so choose) to better become a person who doesn't hurt others.
If you read a post like the one above that makes you angry, that's valid. Let yourself be angry, but when you're done you need to think about the post. You need to look at it and find the reason for the author's anger so you can change your behavior to better suit others (again, if you so choose).
