Do you think in a woven song, Xiaohua sees any advertisements for the Monkey King and asks about Macaque about it? Like 'Oh Baba, do you know this other monkey that kind of looks like us?'
ohhohohoho i should be doing homework lmao youve got me laughing evilly over here bro bro I've thought about this so much you have no idea.
cause like...Xiaohua is still Mk, no matter the au or who raises them. they are still the same person.
and Mk is obviously hyper-fixated on Monkey king and his legends.
ehehehehe >:)
(i got carried away lmao, tw for mentions of blood, violence and implied death. also xiaohua's a little kid...like...i'd say 5. also if any of this seems ooc or doesn't make sense thats because this part skipsover like....SO much development for macaque i have planned. this part is after aws and more shit I have planned before mk gets to this age)
------------------
"Baba?" Xiaohua tugs on Macaques shirt while looking up at him.
"what is it star?" Macaque kneels down in front of them as Xiaohua lets go and instead fidgets with the end of thier shirt.
"Who's the monkey king?"
Macaque doesnt really know what happened after his starlight asked that, the best way he could explain it is a sharp ringing in his ears, echoing memories of metal sparking against metal, of metallic liquid filling his breath, of pain exploding through his head and then silent nothingness. until the cold creeped in awakening his senses and sparking him back to-
"baba?"
Macaque blinked, finnaly noticing how his breathing has become fast and heavy, how his gentle smile became a panicked frown. fuck, the scared look on Xiaohua's face hurts Macaque more then some damn flashback and he immediately recollects himself.
"sorry starlight" he soothes, cupping thier face and weaving his fingers between nd behind her ears. gently petting them and calming his cub.
"he's...well-"
"is he a monkey demon, like us?" Xiaohua asks, much calmer now and purring to the soothing pets.
"...ye-..well....he's" This conversation is painful. he doesnt know what to say. he doesnt know if he should say anything. he's still mad, yes. beyond angry but....
Macaque takes a deep breath
"he is someone humans look up to as a hero, he is a demon-"
"like us?!" Xiaohua gasps, her eyes sparkling like golden stars.
"....yes.."
Xiaohua gasps again and rushes into the living room where the tv blasts the theme song to a cartoon xiaohua's been watching. Macaque never really paid attention but for once he decides to peak in and see what cartoon she's indulging in now.
.
.
....oh...
Of course they make a cartoon for him...
At least the show looks, acts and sounds nothing like him.
Macaque wants to tear that television apart, he wants to rip out its cords and smash its metal. He wants to set it on fire and make sure there's nothing left of that damn peachy bastard in his home.
But xiaohua looks up at the screen with such wonderment. Her laughter and joy echoe's through the room with such vigor.
.
.
Hopefully she'll move on from this show soon enough.

Our Moment Finale
Marvel - A Captain America Fairytale AU
King! Steve Rogers x Female Reader
1.8K Words
Here's Pt 1 and Pt 2
Tumblr media
-Part 3-
the conclusion
----
You didn't waste anytime getting home, collapsing onto your bed with a sob that you muffled with your palm. It seemed nothing good could ever truly be yours.
You glanced around the small attic space with blurry tears. The house was supposed to be for you. Your father had left it in your name, yet your step-mother was able to work her way around that.
It was the only reason you stuck around, the only reason you put up with all of it. You were over it.
Peaches was the only thing that you felt a connection to. Your father adored her, and you were honored that you got to bond with her.
You made up your mind. It was time to move on. You dried that last of your tears and began packing a bag. You carefully folded your mother's dress and put it back in the box you got it from. One day when the memories weren't as painful, you would come back for it.
You wished things could be different with your life, but mostly with Steve. You should have known better than to get tied up with the king. It was too good to be true. You felt you had done everything you could to win over his trust, but obviously not enough.
You strapped your bag to your horse. The next town was about a days ride, and you could figure out where to go from there.
---
Steve didn't hesitate to saddle his own horse as quickly as possible. He had to go after you - had to explain. He couldn't lose you. You were the only good thing to ever happen to him.
He stalled in his tracks. Explain what exactly? That his biggest fear was being used and never being loved? He shook his head.
"My king, where are you off to?" a guard asked confused.
"I have to leave."
"But the ball-"
"Tell the court I will explain when I get back."
"Wait, you can't leave without someone going with you."
Steve was already racing down the path, his heart racing along with it.
"There's no time for that," he called. He could take care of himself.
He thought of you as he followed the familiar trail. He thought of the first day you met, and all of the moments thereafter. You always made time for him, always listened to what he had to say. You were attentive and doting.
He had screwed up.
The trail became less familiar. He didn't know where he was going, or how he would find you. He swallowed down the panic. He couldn't lose you. It was a constant circling thought.
Eventually the trail ended and he slowed to a trot. He saw a house up ahead, and a royal carriage in front of it.
He slowed, finding Sam speaking to a guard.
"What are you doing here and how did you get here so fast?" Steve asked.
Sam took his horse's reins. "I know something has been up with you lately, but you can explain later. The lady you talked to at the ball is in the house."
Your step-mother. He had some words for her, but first he needed you.
"Thank you, Sam. I owe you," Steve said, heading for the door.
"Your highness, it's a pleasure to have you in our home-"
"Don't act like I don't know what is going on," he said, cutting her off. "I will deal with you later. Is she here? Where is her room?"
The lady paled even beneath the layers of powder on her cheek.
"S-She's not-" she swallowed at Steve's fierce look, before gathering her wits. "My king, she's not here. She's hardly ever here. I'll show you where she prefers to spend her time."
Steve followed her down a hallway to a door with a winding staircase. She guided him up and into the small room at the top. The ceilings were so low that he had to scrunch his shoulders.
He took in the space, feeling upset at your living conditions.
"Leave me," he demanded, unable to look away from the small bed in the corner, one that contained a single blanket and a pillow, folded neatly on the end.
The step-mother was right. It looked like someone hardly lived here, except there was a freshly cut flower on the windowsill, soaking in the low, dusty light. And the books you had borrowed from his own library sat tucked by the bed. Most importantly, the beautiful dress that he never got to say anything to you about was hanging from the sides of a box under the bed. You must have been in a haste to leave.
He frowned, bending down to pick up a folded piece of paper. Were those the things you did by yourself? What had you gone through?
Steve cursed. He wished he could have started the night over. He wished that he had gone through his original plan instead of being sucked into his own insecurities.
"Where would she have gone?" he asked impatiently to the lady who was lounging on her couch.
"If she isn't in the barn with that horse, I have no clue."
There was no sign of a horse or you. He closed his eyes, feeling the anxiety creeping in and swallowing him whole. It was dark and late, and you were somewhere all alone. It was all his fault.
"She might know someone in the next town over," Sam suggested. "We could head over tomorrow."
"That's a days journey. I'll start the route tonight."
"You're exhausted, Steve," he protested.
"Just in case," his words dropped to a hoarse whisper, his mind plunged into the darkest corners.
Sam nodded. "We will catch up with you tomorrow then. Be safe."
He nodded, already going down the dark path, his heart thudding loud in his ears.
---
You were taking a break and letting Peaches rest. The fire you built was warm and soothing on your stiff limbs. Even after the incident in the woods a while back, it didn't scare you to be out alone. The stars and the moon made it seem as though you could feel your parents, and you enjoyed the sentiment, especially after the day you had.
You rested your head on your hand, your eyes fluttering closed. They were dry and sticky from the tears that had fallen.
You gave a shuddering hiccup, unable to give into the heartbreak anymore. You were cried out. Beyond upset - a numbness covered your whole body like a scab on a wound.
You jolted, hearing steps near you and you staggered quickly to your feet.
"Thank god you're alright," Steve said, rushing towards you. He pulled you tight into his embrace, and it took everything in you not to hug him back.
"What are you doing here, your highness?" you asked confused, trying to pull away. He didn't let go, only eased back so his hand remained on your shoulders.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I believed her over you. I'm sorry that it took me so long to come after you. I'm sorry for everything," he said the words so sincerely that tears filled your eyes for the millionth time tonight. He caressed you cheek, using the pad of his thumb to dry a fallen drop. "And it's just Steve to you."
"But you still did it," you whispered, voice thick with tears. "You don't trust me."
"I do trust you," he said earnestly. "and I care about you. It has been a long time since I shared those emotions with anyone."
"It doesn't matter," you successfully pull away. His hands drop dejectedly to his side. "You're a king, and I'm me. It would have never worked out."
It was quiet a moment. "Why didn't you tell me what you were going through at home?"
You sat down and Steve followed. "I didn't want you to think I was using you. I guess we both have our own insecurities."
He looked into the dimming flames of the fire. "Insecurities or not, I shouldn't have accused. I'm sorry I hurt you."
He waited, but you said nothing. "We're both exhausted and need sleep. Why don't we head back?" He stood, holding out his hand to you.
You shook your head, "I'm not going back."
He paused, fully expecting that response, but it still took him aback. He definitely wasn't going to leave you alone in the middle of nowhere though.
"Okay," he nodded, heading to his horse.
You frowned.
He turned with a blanket, draping it over you, before tending to the fire. Finally, he sat next to you with a sigh. His body was pressed against yours and you couldn't help but sag in relief at the support.
"You can't stay. You have to get back," you protested.
"Shh," he eased, kissing your forehead ever so softly. "Sleep a bit and then we will talk."
---
Gentle light breaking through the trees awoke you from your slumber. You shivered from the damp cold, curling closer to the source of warmth beneath you. Your eyes fluttered and you realized you were practically laying on top of Steve.
You called his name, shaking him gently.
"We fell asleep," you told him with a yawn, falling back onto his chest. It was the best sleep you ever had.
He hummed, wrapping his arm around your waist.
"I'm sorry. You must be freezing," he said coming to, easing the both of you up. Your cheeks heated and you moved to get off of his lap.
He adjusted the blanket so it was pulled tight over your shoulders.
"Come back with me, please," he whispered, turning your chin to look at him. "You can stay with me. I just want to be with you."
"You want me to stay with you?" you asked.
"We could get married in the summer," he grinned, the first genuine smile you had seen in a while.
"Married?" you asked, biting back a smile.
He nodded eagerly. "I'm falling in love with you."
---
Epilogue:
"Come on," Steve encouraged, pulling you eagerly down the hall to your favorite room in the palace.
Things were working out good, really good, between the two of you.
"What are we doing?"
"Close your eyes," he smiled, taking his large warm hands and covering them for you.
He pulled them off with an exaggerated ta-da, revealing a new shelf next to his in the library.
"Now you have your own spot for all of your favorites."
"Thank you," you smiled, leaning up to kiss him. "I love it. I love you."
And they lived happily ever after.
---
Hope you enjoyed 💕

I just read your Azriel × reader one shot, I think I'm in love ! And I have a request for you. I've been in love with one song and one song only. It hhas never been changed since like very long time , lot's of years. And the song is Lana Del Rey- Love. The feeling that it gives me is just enchanting. English is my second language so sometimes I just shut down my brain for English and just feel the song with its melodies and rhytm. And it always gives me hope but also kinda sad. Like it has been raining hard but now you see rainbow or you missed your lover terribly and now you're kissing them. I think you got what I meant. Can you write someting with Azriel that' gonna make me feel like the song does? I know this might be silly or doesn't make any sense but if you do I would be more than happy and appreciated💖 thank you so much!
Love
Hi! I'm sorry it took me so long to answer you, but here it is!! I hope you enjoy it, darling 🥰 ✨don’t forget to make your own request✨ • I don’t own any of Sarah J. Mass’ characters or any of her plots, I’m just a fan having fun. Also I do not own the images. This is story is mine though, so please do not copy • WARNING! this is VERY angsty and sad, and you might cry and/or explode because of the fluff
Tumblr media
My tears dampened the pillow beneath my head. Today, sadness claimed me more than yesterday, sucking the very strength out of me. It paralises me enough that I can’t get out of bed, and that I only wish crawl into a dark corner, staying there forever.
Loneliness was my most hated color. But today, it paints every moment of my miserable existence. And I think it suits me.
The pain blurred my eyes, and I only saw teardrops
The pain took my youth, and left the weight of my mistakes
The pain blurred my days, and I lost track of time
The pain took my soul, and left the monster of my true self
and eventually
The pain blurred my emotions, and I stopped feeling at all.
My mother used to say beautiful words that my young ears never understood. Most of them got lost with time, but one was carved into my very skin.
alight
And yet, even after I learned what it meant, I never got to feel it.
But I should’ve guessed it. Destiny liked me too much to leave me alone as well. So he played the strings one last time, and magic was done. I felt it all again.
The pain blurred my eyes, and I only saw teardrops
The pain took my youth, and left the weight of my mistakes
The pain blurred my days, and I lost track of time
The pain took my soul, and left the monster of my true self
and eventually
The pain blurred my emotions, and I stopped feeling at all.
but I saw his face and
The pain no longer blurred or took anything
The pain was gone.
Azriel, she learned later, was his name. That gorgeous male was her mate, and the classic, beautiful traces of his face never failed to take her breath away.
Once, he asked her, in the middle of the night
“Y/N, why are your eyes so sad?”
He had never seen someone like her, with an indescribable beauty. She was elegant and gracious, fun and unpredictable, but above all, she was intense. And so was her sadness.
What strained his heart the most was her eyes, that even after an eternity of laughter, reflected such a deep suffering. He saw eyes like that on his own face.
The only answer he got was a single teardrop down her cheek.
Turns out, the pain never truly went away. It was just forgotten when she was around him, and because of that, the moments away from him were unbearable.
He found out about this too when he came to see her, and found her crying. Harsh sobs racked through her body, and his gut clenched.
He knelt in front of her, took her face into his scarred hands, and asked
“What’s wrong?”
“Everything.” She whispered. “All of it is so awful, and you are my only light. I drown in grief every day of my life. I feel too much, and feel nothing at all. I want better, but I can’t stop treating myself so awfully.” Her voice raised with every word, and agony filled her. “It hurts. It all hurts.”
He embraced her, pulling her into his warmth, trying to sooth the pain. She laid her forehead on his chest, kneeling with him, and gripped his shirt with an iron grip. She would not loose him as well.
After the tears and sobs, she tried to move away, and he pulled her closer.
Their eyes met, and he laid himself bare to her. Took down all his walls, laid down his guard around himself, and told his entire history to her. Showing her his own pains and fears.
But in that moment, he was too late. Pain had taken everything from her once again.
He flinched when her blank stare met his overwhelmed one.
He tried to move away and succeeded.
She did not pull him closer.
So he left
And she was set alight.
First, pain burned her from the inside.
Second, she was angry, at him and at herself.
Third, she forgave him.
Fourth, she forgave herself.
Fifth, she built courage to face him one last time
He met her at a hillside with a view to the sea. She sat underneath the soft light of the sun, in late afternoon hours. Beside her, there was a panic basket and a pile of books. Her dress fluttered with the passing breeze, the same that caressed her hair. After months of solely thinking of her, seeing that face was a definitive answer. He loved her, with all his might, with all his sorrow and all his happy.
Sitting beside his mate, his heart was at ease, even with the hurt that she caused him.
“Hi” she said hesitantly.
“Hello Y/N”. She shivered with that voice, she missed him so much. There was nothing capable of describing the relief of seeing him.
“I wanted to talk to you,” she averted his eyes, “about what happened last time. What I did was wrong, and you deserved a better reaction than the one I gave you. You deserved support.” She looks into his eyes, her voice breaking slightly. “I am so sorry. You were always there for me, and I ended up hurting the both of us when I forgot who I truly am.”
Her gaze went to the sea, and beyond into the horizon. Her chest moved with a soft sigh she exhaled. “I want to tell that it was not intentional to hurt you in a vulnerable moment, and that I’m grateful that you shared with me such a beautiful story. If you want to try things between us again, I I would love to, but if you —
His fingers touched her chin, turning her blushing face towards him. She froze.
“Y/N, I’m sorry too. For not trying to help you earlier, and for letting my fears control my actions so deeply. But the thing I’m most sorry for is the fact that I didn’t come to see you in such a long time. I hurt the both of us as well with my pride, and I wish I could change that. But I can’t change the past, so I offer you this: I love you, Y/N.”
She blinked her teary eyes, and threw her arms around me, a choked laugh passing through her lips. I hug her back, breathing in her scent, and she whispered in my ear: “I love you, Azriel.”
She pulled back slightly, and pressed her lips against mine softly. We join in a slow sweet kiss, my hands on the nape of her neck, and a small humm of delight leaves her.
When we break apart, she lays her forehead against mine.
“Thank you for reminding me,” she says “of who I truly am, and who I’ve always been.”
“And who would be that, my light?” She blushes with the nickname, and answers
“A beautiful star, with her glowing scars and smiles, set alight by love. My love for myself, my mother’s love, your love”

Every moment with you-Ukitake Jushiro
Tumblr media
"If I had to be reborn every lifetime it would always be you."
(Your Name) sighs while sitting on the floor packing all her belongings and putting them in boxes to move out the barracks. This was the hardest thing to do, everything they shared and everything Ukitake had were being placed else where. It didn't feel right to her but and she just lost her husband and home.
She felt lifeless as Kyoraku sat across from her and frowned. Of course he was still heart broken by his best friend, his brother death. They were inseparable.
"(Your Name) I know it's hard but I promise you things will get better."
"Better said than done." She answers back but doesn't look him in the eye and folds his captains cloth placing it in a nice decorative box where she put all his special belongings.
"You will be okay out there?" He asks worriedly as she nods her head in response and rubs her red eyes from all the crying.
"I'll check up on you every often." Kyoraku sits himself up and takes one last look of Ukitake and (Your Name) house before looking down and bidding a farewell.
"(Your Name) come here." Ukitake kindly smiles at his wife as she set the hot tea down. Walking towards him he held a brush as she sat in front of him and hummed in delight.
"You know my favorite part of the day is at night and we get to spend quality time together." He says as she hums in response.
"My favorite part is waking up to you." She answers back as he chuckles and ties her hair back in a low bun as she turns towards him.
"I guess your answer is better than mine." He slightly pouts and takes a sip of the tea that was prepared.
(Your Name) curled in bed alone as she cried again they spend hundreds and years together as friends and the love of each other life's. So she asked herself how do you fully heal if you've spend most your life depending on each other.
Ukitake was no longer here, who could she depend on that was like him? His soothing voice and calming nature made her feel secure.
Looking out the window it was a starry night as she moved out to the country side to heal more. Setting up his shrine and everything else it was weird. Never had she been alone like this.
(Your Name) wondered was his soul reborn yet? Was he in Rukongai or the Human World? Either way it would be impossible to find him. There's was millions of soul getting reborn everyday.
"You're sick! I'm not letting you leave this room." (Your Name) yells at Ukitake as he coughs and holds onto his desk for support as she ran to his side and held him up.
"Yes but work comes first." He says softly and sits back down to do unfinished business.
"Honey. You've down enough, maybe it's time you retired? It's only a matter of time and you are only getting older!" She exclaims as he chuckles and swats her away kindly.
"I still look young though."
She rolled her eyes and pouted, Ukitake health was slowly getting worse but it never stopped him from working hard and supporting his squad.
There were times she worried he didn't have long to live because of how severely sick he would get at times but those thoughts she bore were heavy on her heart.
"I'm just scared...what if something bad happens to you?"
Ukitake looks up to her and grabs her hand gently with his and kisses it.
"I'm here right now that's all that matters."
"But what if there comes a time you aren't no more?" She questions as he knits his brows to find words to say.
Ukitake didn't know what to say because he also knew.
"You know I'll always have you and I'll be somewhere better." Although those weren't the words he wanted to say the truth had to be told as she looks down and nods.
"I love you." She whispers and he smiles.
"I love you too."
Waking up the sun peaked up as she groaned and looked towards her side.
"I guess its still a habit. I can imagine you here but you aren't here."
Getting ready for the day she had a unexpected visitor. Well it was expected but he didn't tell her.
"Good morning!" Kyoraku happily says walking into her new place as she smiles back and lets him in.
They both said their prayers to the shine before setting up the table to eat breakfast.
"How are you holding up?"
She wanted to lie but didn't know how to.
"It's okay, I can't say I haven't stop crying and doing old habits but I think being out here is better and getting the fresh air feels nice."
The older man hums in response and stares out to look at the flowers scattered everywhere. "He would have loved it out here."
"I know... that's why I decided to come out here. It's more like 'you've worked hard let's go rest somewhere peaceful now' I know it's time for me to rest also."
Kyoraku smiles and then looks at Ukitake picture.
"He's smiling down at us (Your Name) theres no need to torture yourself no more."
She rolls her eyes playfully and looks at the picture too before grinning. "I know but it's hard."
"I'm not leaving him!" (Your Name) screamed at Kyoraku as Ukitake prayed to Mimihagi as to becoming the right hand of the soul king.
"I promised him you would not die in this war!"
(Your Name) cried as she watched Ukitake sacrifice himself and suffer in pain.
"You knew and didn't tell me, you guys both knew! How could you let me leave him like this." As she cried and  fell on the floor.
Kyoraku grabbed her forcefully as she struggled to get loose and she screamed in pain.
"I'm not letting him leave by himself."
"Don't be selfish (Your Name) you aren't thinking! He's doing this for the sake of Seireitei! He's doing this for everyone! For you!" Kyoraku yells at her as she looks away and cries into his chest.
Glancing back at Ukitake she wasn't sure if he was still physically here.
Wiping her tears she cooled her head and nodded.
Kyoraku left as she signed and laid in bed. She would go back to work when she was fully healed but as of right now she didn't wanna do anything.
Life at this point had no meaning to her if he was gone.
"I promise you I'll get better."
50 years later
It took her a few years after Ukitake death to piece herself back together, during the time she went back to being a shinigami and full filling her duties to protect souls and those she loved.
There had been a disturbance in the world of living so her and few lieutenants were sent down to the world of living to check it out.
"I feel a high reitsu coming from the west." Hisagi says as him and Kira went to check it out.
"I'll check east and Renji will go south." Rangiku tells (Your Name) as she nods and follows north.
It had been many years since she was last down here. It had been during Aizen's battle.
"The human world has changed quite a bit."
After reporting a few suspicious incident to Kyoraku she watched the sunset alone waiting for the others.
A man in his 30s walked by her reading a book, he was smiling peacefully with his hair tied in a low pony and a nice button up.
The white hair tamed.
She gasped slightly as he looked up to her and his eyes widen a bit.
"You can see me?" She asks questioning him.
"I can see you, Ive seen many things since I was a child." Ukitake laughs not fazed a bit from her outfit and sword.
She felt happy tears fall from her eyes as he jumped a bit afraid he had hurt her feelings because she was dead and he wasn't.
"I'm sorry, I'm just so happy. You're alive."
He tilts his head in confusion as she wipes them away.
"My name is (Your Name)." She introduced herself as he kindly bowed
Although she wanted to bring him back he had a different life here and showing them together would only confuse him.
"Your name sounds familiar to me." Ukitake says as she sadly smiled and lied to him. "Maybe it's common around here?"
"No it's pretty unique. I've heard it somewhere." He says but can't seem to connect the clues.
Oh how was the world was cruel to them both at this moment. She would have to remember all the memories of them as his was mixed with confusion and facts.
"Do you believe in rebirth?" She then asks him as he nods his head. She took a deep breath and said the following words Ukitake told her before his death and sacrifice.
"If I had to be reborn every lifetime it would always be you."
Ukitake touches his head as it started to feel a bit dizzy and she held him and he gasps. He knew for sure something about her was familiar but he was getting frustrated not being able to figure it out.
Tears fell from her face as Ukitake eyes were watering. "Why am I crying? My body is doing it on its own."
Ukitake was beyond confused but she wouldn't let him suffer no longer. She knew he was safe and happily healthy living down here and that's all she needed to know.
"I'll wait a few more years for you and then we'll meet up there."
Ukitake looks at her and reached his hand out. He didn't want her to leave this comforting feeling and Ukitake knew he knew her somehow but he can't remember.
Kissing his forehead she took one last glance and disappeared.
"I'll see you then my love. I'll watch over you till it's your time and then we can finally be together again."
Ukitake looks up to the sky as the uncontrollable tears fell from his face and he tried his best to compose himself. He just couldn't as he cried, he felt something from her and he would have to wait.
As much as he wanted the pain to leave, his own heart neglected his mind.
"I'll see you again (Your Name)."
(Authors note: Oo so sad, Ukitake is literally so precious, he didn't deserve death.)

Ok so now that you've prolly read the entirety of wmmap, have your thoughts on any of the characters changed? Like did u get any new angle of looking at them, of looking at the story? Have u gained any sort of insight or something like that? Did your view about any of the characters change? Did it feel good, reading what had been put on hold? Knowing about all these developments? Did the developments feel good or bad? Did anything surpass ur expectations?
Oh, for sure they've changed! Kinda. (TLDR on the bottom!)
To break it down, I think the most any character's changed for me was Anastasius, I thought it was just him but since it was Aety inside him too, I was like, well that kinda mixes things up a bit. In a bad way. I was also hoping that Anastasius would be executed, but Claude, you little Biatch, went above and beyond my moral expectations of you and let him live!! WHY!? Yada yada I think he's been through enough and all that family nonsense, nah!!
So my view on Claude has also changed, hoping he'd keep up the "I look like I can kill you and will in fact kill you" vibes but he didn't, which you know, made me sad. Like, ok, character development I guess, with his happy make up with Athy but oh god, ATHY she was way too nice to everyone. Listen, you're the heir to the throne, be a bitch to the people who need bitching to stay in their lanes!!!
Insight? Hmm....I guess it was the whole background that was revealed with Claude and Aeternitas and Anastasius that kind of helped with realizing, oh they have family history, no wonder- but it didn't really do it for me. Blood or no blood, especially if Claude had killed LP! Athy with no evidence of poisoning, with sufficient evidence like this, how could he not kill Anastasius?? Again, I suppose character development, but he didn't spend a whole decade with him being all "Omg hyung-nim!" he was betrayed, backstabbed, betrayed, made sad, made angry, etc etc not like Athy's decade where they spent time together and made happy memories!
Contrary to expectations, besides my happiness to be able to zoom in and see all their beautiful faces again, I was not happy about reading what I put on hold. Everything was just, god, it was just angst and pain and omg everything hurt!!!! The few times Ijekiel was helping her kind of soothed the burn but all of the other stuff (Mayhaps I skipped around when Lucas and side popped up) and everytime Athy was sad because of someone I had the overwhelming urge to throw my device across the room and scream out a window and never look at what was happening again. Too late for that I guess.
I did enjoy the little bits where Athy showed off her abilities, authority or otherwise, and whilst crying, I do think it was a kind of catharsis, knowing what's happened and catching up to it all, all at once(bingeing is my thing you see ahaha) and so knowing what has erupted kind of made me feel happy, probably because I know the scenes we've been robbed of will probably never come to light and so I've resigned myself to the fact...
It surpassed my expectations with the art, for sure!! The development of the plot however??? Nope, nada, no way. I knew the angst of the amnesia arc was there but everything after that was just, horrific in a way, cause I'm cheering for Athy, our MC(I get it, I should support other characters too boohoo but who doesn't want to cheer for the MC???), but the world is basically going against her, and I'm here like, doom is upon me- and I pushed through, my stomach totally just sinking into the ground as I kept on reading ahahaha which eventually pulled through for me towards the end when everything started coming to a close, the trial, the whole black magic thing being erased, Claude's memories coming back, Diana meeting with Athy, etc etc it just fell into place, and I was in no place to keep complaining cause, it's happened, I can't change it, done deal.
TLDR: I'm glad I know the whole story of what's happened and is currently happening, would 1000000% cheer Athy on again, and accepted character development.

28 years (1st pregnancy)- Yandere!Silva x Reader (tiny lime)
Tumblr media
One of you lovies, requested to know what I think Silva acted like during the first pregnancy in 28 Years! I am currently working on part 3 of 28 years and should have it out sometime soon, but for now, here's the backstory of when Illumi was born! If you would like more from this vein, perhaps I'll just make 28 years into a full-blooded story!
Warnings; mention of blood, protective Silva, mention of adult themes from '28 Years', the struggles of pregnancy, mention of abusive behavior, hypersensitivity, surprisingly fluffy moments, a bit of ooc, Silva's depravity, creepy moments, ANGST, tiny lime moment, milk (women do produce it during pregnancy, after all), MORE ANGST, mention of depression,
~~~~~~
That night, after the female doctor checked you and confirmed you were pregnant, almost everything changed.
She had confirmed you were pregnant after her initial inspection and was promptly told to leave. Quickly following, you had fallen back into a fitful sleep, tired from your sudden sickness and the realization that you were carrying this monster's infant.
You woke up several hours later in your bed, feeling more well rested than you had in years. The room from the beginning had been rather sparsely decorated and had a few modest blankets over the slightly uncomfortable bed.
But now, everything was different.
The bed beneath you was unbelievably soft and plush. It was far more comfortable than it had been before, practically enveloping your body and supporting you. It was covered with a heavenly cloth that was what you assumed to be some kind of high-grade material that you could never afford. Many blankets and similar items had been added during your nap, and they now wrap around your figure comfortably.
Shelves, drawers, and other such things had been added to the room as well. You quickly noticed that all sharp corners and hard edges on the furniture had been sanded smooth. The hard floor had been covered with what looked to be unbelievably soft carpet.
It stunned you and you almost got up before voices came close, quickly pretending you were asleep, making sure to keep your breaths even.
"-stays comfortable. If I didn't know better, I would say you've become more than just interested in her, Silva."
"I told you from the first day she arrived, I have no intention of leaving or losing her."
"Your children are next in the Zoldyck line, so they should carry on the family business and name."
"I'm not losing her to anything, old-man. I'm not losing her to illness. I'm not letting her go. And I'm not losing her life for an heir."
"Her having your child proves she is yours and only yours, doesn't it?"
"..."
"That's what you want, isn't it? That's what you've wanted from the moment you first laid eyes on her. You've wanted her to belong to you, to love you, to worship you like you do to her. You want her to fear you enough to respect your authority, but refuse to actually lay a harmful hand on her. You need her like a drug so you refuse to let her go. You don't want to lose her? Then don't."
"..."
After another moment of silence, you heard the door to your room open for a moment before before gently closing, Silva likely checking in on you. It was odd, as he didn't usually show much concern for your desires or comfort. He would take you when he wished even if you didn't want him to, he always had that strong chain keeping you from being able to reach the door or window, he hardly cared if you wanted to leave or wanted him to leave.
But now it sounded like your captor showed more concern for you than he had initially let on. You had been so scared that he would truly kill you if you didn't obey, but Zeno is making it seem like Silva would never actually harm you like that. He likely needed you more than even he thought, so he refuses to bargain your health for anything.
"Fine. But I'm not taking contracts while she is pregnant."
"That's fine."
"And if it is between her life or the infant's, there is no question that I will choose for her to live. If she dies and the child lives, I'll kill it myself."
You shivered at the sudden dark tone that his voice had taken and you tried not to flinch or react when the door opened again. You couldn't hear the approaching footsteps but you continued your act, laying as still and relaxed as you possibly could. Just because you knew he wouldn't kill you now, doesn't mean you wanted to push him that far just to test it out.
If he thought you were resting, you may learn even more on how you might escape or what you could use to your advantage. For a moment you considered holding the life of the infant hostage, but it was clear he didn't care about the child enough to release you. That thought, however, quickly left your mind as you knew it wouldn't work and you didn't want to draw an innocent life into it.
The child may be of your captor, but an infant shouldn't bear the sins of the parent. If you really were stuck here, why would you ever allow the child to be hurt by your hands? No. As long as you could help it, your child will be safe from their dangerous father and will be protected in your arms.
The bed slightly slumped somewhere near your body as Silva sat down. You knew it was him from the moment the door had opened, but the slight trailing touch on your shoulder confirmed it. Silva barely allowed the female doctor to touch you, so of course he wouldn't let Zeno touch you.
"It seems you truly do care for the woman. At first it seemed that this was just lust, but that isn't it. You love this woman, don't you?"
"... Yes."
The sudden voice of Zeno almost made you jolt as it seems both assassins were in the room with you. Silva was closer to you, judging by the volume of his voice. Another soft touch on your shoulder slightly soothed you, as you were feeling more than a little starved for gentle contact.
You let yourself enjoy the moment, even if it was gentle affection from the man who destroyed your life. The continued gentle action made you actually slip into sleep, resting easy even with two killers nearby.
~~~~~~
You were around three months into your pregnancy and you almost felt like you were actually in a relationship with the terrifying man.
Almost.
You were still collared and your collar was still attached to a chain. You weren't allowed to go outside, no matter how many times or what way you asked.
Beyond that, however, Silva was more accommodating and gentle with you. He no longer took you against your will anymore, instead he held you close and had you sit on his lap. You weren't ecstatic about being forced to cuddle with him, but it was better than the alternative.
He spent almost all of his time with you, needing some kind of contact with you at all times. You faintly assumed it was his way of satisfying his need for you that didn't involve fucking you.
You were currently seated upon his lap, reading a book from the many he had left in the room for you. It was some kind of adventure book, but you weren't really paying attention. As you went to flip to the next page, a sudden pain in your abdomen forced you to drop it, letting out a light cry of pain.
"What? What's wrong? Answer me!"
You felt his form rigid beneath you, one of his hands on your thigh and the other on your stomach. You shook your head, getting your breath back from being so suddenly winded by the sharp pain.
"It's done... It's done..."
"What is?"
"The pain... It's gone..."
"What happened?"
Silva's voice was a low growl and his grip on your leg tightened slightly. He seemed more stressed than you were at that moment and you hesitantly rested your hands over his. At the warmth of your hands he slowly relaxed, frowning in displeasure.
"I don't know what happened. It's probably nothing."
"I'm having your doctor check you."
"I said it's nothing."
"And I say you are going to be checked. I already dislike the pregnancy, I'm not going to let you die and leave me because of it."
He moved to set you gently on the couch as he left to retrieve the kind doctor.
You almost wanted to sigh in displeasure at the idea. Though you appreciated your doctor you felt like you had seen her almost every day.
Her name was Kikyo and she served two roles at the Zoldyck estate. The first being your doctor, as she was well versed in medicine. The second being your decoy.
Apparently her family tried to set her up with Silva and quickly abandoned her afterwards. Zeno often refered to her with a cruel title, "that useless woman," as she was infertile. Her family had been slaughtered for daring to try and trick them, and only by her medical abilities was she saved from suffering the same fate.
Shortly after she arrived at the estate, Silva had brought you in as well. She was the only female there who had medical experience and so she was spared under the condition of playing her two roles.
As your doctor, she obviously took over your primary care. As your stand-in, she was the one who attended meetings and other things of the like to seem like she was married to Silva. Others only saw her and not you, meaning she would be targeted should anyone try to attack the family.
You had made a pact with her, that if anything should happen to you, she would take your child and run. She couldn't have children and you could never leave. You both suffered something and so, you both connected on a different level. Outside of other Zoldycks, she was the only one allowed to come see you.
She was an unlikely friend in your dark new life. You took comfort in her presence and she took comfort in yours. Though you two barely got to speak due to Silva's possessive behavior, you had both formed a near unbreakable friendship.
You looked up when the door opened once more, Silva entering followed closely by Kikyo. You kept a calm facade as you knew that Silva would become jealous should you show excitement upon seeing her, and you would rather not risk the life of your friend.
"What's happening?"
"Sudden sharp pain. It didn't last long, but it certainly was there."
"Centered around the stomach?"
"Yes."
You sat as still as possible, feeling Silva's eyes bore into you from across the room as Kikyo examined you. She gently lifted your loose shirt to prod gently at your stomach. You let out a small squeak of pain when she put light pressure in a certain spot, making her focus on that area.
"It just started today?"
"Yeah..."
"And localized around here primarily?"
"Yes."
"Hm... Might have to preform an ultrasound to see what's going on. Women are more likely to lose their child around the end of the first trimester at three months in. Could be the embryotic sack has been punctured, or it is just a simple pain of your body adjusting to the child. Regardless, it should be checked."
You nodded and she stood, looking over at Silva.
"Sir, I will need to retrieve the ultrasound equipment. Likely should do it soon since these pains can indicate something life-threatening to both her and the-"
"Stay here. I will send out others to retrieve it immediately."
Kikyo nodded and returned to kneeling in front of you, continuing her examination of your slightly swelling stomach. Silva paused at the door, only for a moment and looked back at you and Kikyo, his eyes cold as the darkest ice.
"If she dies or if anything happens to her, I will torture you for days on end and flay you alive. Understood?"
"... Yes, sir."
With that he left, closing the door behind him. You wasted no time in resting your hands on her shoulders and pulling her into a hug, both to comfort her and yourself.
"I wish he didn't threaten you, I'm so sorry..."
"It's not your fault. We were both thrown unwillingly into this life. We didn't choose this, it was chosen for us. I'm just glad I can help in whatever way I can."
~~~~~~
Five months in and you were already so sick of it. Sick of being stuck in a room. Sick of being told to sit down and rest. Sick of having cravings. All of it.
Pickles and chocolate sauce? Watermelon and pretzels? And damn it, you could barely remember things at times. SIMPLE things. And not to mention all of the tossing and turning because nothing was comfortable anymore.
And the mood-swings. Oh hell, the mood-swings. You can be happily pacing as you've taken to recently, but the moment Silva tells you to sit and rest you're sobbing hysterically or shouting at him. Your faintly surprised he hasn't retaliated or snapped at you. No, he just stays infuriatingly calm and holds you until you calm down or pass out.
It was surprisingly more comfortable to sit on him than the couch or bed, as the way you can lean back and still have support around your stomach did wonders for the back pain.
You leaned back against the warm chest behind you, wanting to just sleep and relax instead of pacing as you usually did. You were starting to slip into sleep when you tugged at your shirt, feeling a wet sensation on your chest.
You opened your eyes to snap at Silva for toying with you, but his hands were resting beneath your stomach. A small bit of confusion sparked in your tired mind so you reached up to examine your shirt. Indeed, there were two wet spots on your shirt.
Out of confusion and lack of caring, you lifted your top completely to examine your chest. To your surprise, white liquid was beading up on your breasts.
"What the hell..?"
Your question drew Silva's attention, making him lean forward to see what you were looking at.
"Seems you've started producing milk early."
"But... That isn't supposed to happen until right before the baby's born..."
"It can happen early... Sometimes months early."
One hand slowly trailed up your stomach, making you shiver in stress. His movement was so slow and sensual that you felt worried he would try something, seeing as he had left you alone for months now. You let out a soft whimper when he cupped your chest, thumb gathering the liquid.
He growled at your whimper, retracting his hand from you and licking the cream off of his thumb. His pupils were fully dilated and focused only on you. He was snapped out of his trance-like state when you protectively wrapped your arms around your stomach.
He stopped himself and frowned, letting his hands rest where they had been, the lust was clear in his eyes. It seemed to be ripping him to pieces to have to resist touching you. His eyes trailed to your stomach and you could have sworn you saw hate in them. When he spoke next, it was softer, gentler. Almost like a low croon.
"You know... I have no intention of sharing you with anyone. No one gets to touch you like I do and no one should even lay their eyes on you other than me. Do you know what I thought when I saw you for the first time?"
"..."
"I thought I had died and actually woke up in the afterlife. I don't believe in any of that, even if my great-grandfather does. But I honestly thought you were an angel."
"..what-?"
"From that moment I knew I had to have you. To hold you. To keep you in my arms. I knew I wasn't going to share you with anyone or let anyone take you from me. So I clipped your wings. Now my angel can't fly away from me. Now you're for my eyes only."
His low voice in your ear made a whimper escape your lips, very suddenly feeling unsafe in his arms. You slowly wrapped your arms around you, moving your hands beneath his, not wanting him to touch your stomach anymore.
His eyes flickered for only a moment, to you stomach and then back at you, a displeased look in his eyes. You began to feel more attached to the life growing within you, now wanting to keep both you and your child safe from the man who claimed to love you.
~~~~~~
Eight months.
Eight long months.
You've begun to notice how Silva has been acting more and more aggressive than usual. He is becoming visibly irate whenever he looks at your stomach, seeming to dislike how he had to leave you alone. He was antsy, he was impatient, he wanted nothing to do with the impending arrival of the infant.
It was only now that you realized what could happen to you. Silva already disliked the child and he had spoken many times about refusing to share you. The child you have been trying so hard to protect would be taken from you.
You just knew it. He would never let you keep your baby.
You began to refuse to let him touch your stomach. You refused to let him hold you. When you would sleep, you did so on your side, facing away from him.
Your actions seemed to bother him in a whole new way. At one point, he seemed to be affectionate towards the life inside of you, even waking you in the night while speaking to it. But now, he was a completely different person.
It seemed he disliked sharing your attention with the soon to be born infant. Like he no longer saw it as a way to possess you, but a threat to his time with you. A threat to him.
Your actions of turning away from him only made it worse. Instead of protecting the child, you only made him begin to loathe it. It threatened him now, and it was taking the attention he felt entitled to.
You worried what would happen when the child was finally born.
~~~~~~
The unconscious woman awoke with a start, panting heavily and looking around. She was in bed. The lights in the room were turned off, and a figure slept next to her.
The first thing she noticed was that her stomach was no longer as extended as it had once been. An emptiness within that made a whimper escape her lips. Her hand resting over her stomach.
"You're awake."
A deep voice from the figure beside her rumbled out, slowly sitting up.
"Where is he?"
"Who?"
"You know who! Where is my baby?"
"..."
"Damn it, answer me!"
"Dead. Died during birth."
The world shattered in that moment. Nothing was real. Nothing made sense.
"I don't believe you... I don't believe you! You killed him didn't you!?"
"(Y/n), stop. This isn't-"
"I heard him cry. I know my baby didn't die during birth. I heard him cry."
The tense silence was nearly deafening, only to be broken by sobs as her anger gave way to crushing grief.
"(Y/n)-"
"Don't touch me you murderer! You killed my baby! You couldn't stand me looking at anyone but you, so you killed him!"
"I did not kill the infant-"
"Stop lying to me!"
She slowly stumbled out of bed, covering her eyes and sobbing. Silva let her go, knowing she would react this way. Of course, he could have told her that the child survived, and the both of them almost died after she gave birth. But he didn't want her to know the child was still alive.
He believed lying to her was more merciful so she could move on faster. But, if she learns the child is still alive, she will never let it go.
But he was wrong. He was so wrong. It had been weeks, and still she wept. Still she paced. Still she pulled on her chain desperately towards the door, hand stretched out as far as possible.
She refused to be consoled, practically feral every time he tried to touch her. She suffered. She would sit for hours, nearly choking herself in attempts to get out to search for any sign of her child being alive. She would pace with empty eyes, arms wrapped around herself as if to try and keep it together.
She was lost. She wailed until her voice was gone. She clawed at him until his arms bled- a rather impressive feat on its own- leaving scars behind.
Then, three weeks after being separated from her child, she disappeared. Her collar on the floor, door open, and nowhere in sight.
"No one saw her leave!? All of you, eyes everywhere and not one of you saw her get out?! Search for her. Now. If any of you dare come back empty-handed I will slaughter all of you."
The butlers scrambled and scurried from the room like rats, all terrified to look back at those cold blue eyes.
"Where is the infant?"
"She wanted him to be named Illumi, and he's in the nursery. She didn't take him. I doubt she even knew he was still alive."
"She's convinced that he is."
"And she's right. It was a foolish mistake to take him from her. She-"
Silva's fist silenced the chastising words of his father, the very wall cracking and breaking. His hand was sunk into the concrete and the metal behind it was bending under the pressure. He had done it with his own raw strength and rage at his little darling being allowed to slip away. He didn't use his Nen, but his bare hand.
"I know. I'm well aware it was foolish. But someone let her out."
"What do you mean?"
"She was set loose by someone. The collar was opened, not torn. The door was unlocked, not burst open. Her tracker was removed, by someone who knew it was there."
"Someone helped her escape."
The soft sound of heels clicking against the ground drew the attention of the two men. Kikyo had arrived.
"There is no blood in the room. So she wasn't taken by force. There were no prints either. Nothing but her own. There is a slight residue left behind, likely from disposable gloves. She was let out by someone who knew what they were doing. Whoever it was likely told her the true fate of her infant."
"If that's so, why didn't she take him?"
"Perhaps she knew not to. She could have assumed that the child is alive somewhere else, or she could believe that the child is safer if she didn't take him."
Silva was about to turn his rage against Kikyo before a soft knock sounded. Silva did not move from his spot, fist still sunken deep within the wall. Zeno was the one to open the door and receive the news, knowing what would result the moment Silva heard it.
"She's been located."
"Where?"
~~~~~~
Empty eyes.
Devoid of light, of emotion, of anyone still left within.
Like a doll with all of the stuffing having been torn out. She doesn't move anymore. She doesn't eat. She doesn't make a single sound.
She sits with her knees pulled up to her chest, her arms around them. She hasn't blinked for who knows how long. Her arms and legs covered in blooming purple marks shaped like hands. She doesn't even cry anymore.
"What is wrong with her? Answer me now."
"She's checked out completely."
"The hell does that mean?"
"It means she's so mentally, physically, and emotionally broken she's not there anymore. Maybe deep inside, buried away, but that isn't her anymore. Humans can withstand many things that should kill them. But those who go through extreme loss, or abuse-"
The doctor was cut off, a hand wrapped tightly around her neck, causing her to choke. She tried weakly to claw at the iron grip, though her nails didn't even break the skin.
"Choose your next words wisely. I do not abuse my wife. She needed to learn that running from me solves nothing for her. It only results in suffering to leave. She will not leave again. And if she doesn't leave, she won't be hurt again."
With that he dropped the choking woman to the ground, watching with cold eyes as she gasped and fought to breathe. Still, the woman in the corner did not move, her eyes staring through everyone. She was gaunt, pale, and seemed lifeless.
"She won't come back. Not on her own. You say you taught her to not run? She won't. Not anymore. She isn't even in there anymore to think about running."
Even in his anger, he knew she was right. He knew he had gone too far. He knew his little wife was broken. He hadn't intended on pushing her that far or harming her as he did. Her flame was gone. Her eyes were empty.
That was not his angel. That was a shell.
"Then how do I fix it?"
"I don't know."
"How do I fix it!?"
"I don't know!"
The cry of an infant was heard clearly throughout the room, nearly echoing off the walls. It had come from the door that led out of the cell, and was getting louder.
"What the hell is that old fool doing? Does he honestly think bringing that thing will help-"
"Baby?"
A croaking and strained voice met Silva's ears, silencing him and drawing his complete attention.
She had moved.
She could barely crawl, let alone walk, but still she was drawn to the door, like a moth to a flame. She reached the length of the chain and still kept trying to reach the door, whining in desperation.
"Baby..! My baby..!"
Her voice was strained and gasping but still she extended her arms as far as she could reach, choking herself with the collar. Then it finally opened as Zeno entered, a swaddling of blankets in his arms fussing and crying.
"Baby! BABY!"
Her voice was screeching at this point, fingers tense with stained muscles, all of her energy focused on reaching out to the tiny life in the arms of the elder. He did not hesitate to place the crying infant into her arms, allowing her to retreat to her corner with the bundle held close.
Curling her body protectively, she gently moved the blankets from the face of her child. A soft cooing noise coming from deep within her as she rocked the infant.
"My baby... My Illumi... My light..."
She continued to coo low hums and soft whispering to the now quiet child. Her entire being seeming to strain and hurt, but she still smiled, rocking the infant slowly.
Zeno then joined the two who were silenced by the sudden revitalization of the previously broken woman.
"How did you know that would work?"
"Boy, do you think you're the only one in the entire family who has found someone this precious to them? It tends to run in the family. Yes, you went too far. We all did. Wonder why you're an only child? Why I am an only child? The only difference is she was able to be brought back, and you had better not do it again, do you hear me? You don't know what that loss truly feels like. It will destroy you if you let it. I didn't let it. My father did."
There was a silence in the air at the revelation. The realization of what could happen and what has happened.
"You do not harm her again, because she won't survive it. You will not take that child away until she has healed. And you damn well won't allow this to happen again."
The gentle cooing continued, followed by soft sounds of an infant babbling. Small hands rest against the pale (s/c) cheeks of his mother, large doll eyes gazing up intelligently. He knew who she was. He had heard her voice many times. She was comfort, and her heartbeat gently pulled him into sleep.
"Baby... My baby."
Her soft words carried as she curled on her side, cradling the infant and using her arms as a bed. Her back turned to the others, facing the corner and humming softly, joining the infant in slumber.
"I won't let her get like this again."

Sweet Blasphemy Andy Biersack X Reader
Word Count: 1,467
Warning: Discussion on self harm & depression, religion (God mentioned), swearing, suicidal thoughts
Lyrics Used: Sweet Blasphemy by Black Veil Brides
Scars.
She had an abundance.
Her wrists, her thighs, her hips, her sides.
A scar here, a newer cut there, look around you'll see them everywhere.
Some from a blade, some from shards of glass, some just purely accidents.
Should she cover them? Let them show? This is an answer she truly doesn't know.
She isn't ashamed, but certainly not proud.
Her cuts have now all healed and scars started to fade.
She's ok.
*********************************************
The grass spreading across the plain
In one year withers, flourishes again
Burned by prairie fire doesn’t go to waste
By a spring wind blowing with new life is graced.
"My love for you is deeper than your cuts, deeper than everything else." He whispered softly pulling her close.
"Y/N?" She heard Andy's voice and looked up. She was about to wipe her tears away when he interrupted her pulling her into a hug.
Andy grabbed her hand holding it under the table his thumb rubbing softly over the back of her hand.
She looked straight up into his face and saw something she had never seen before…. acceptance.
Just as she was about to cry she felt a pair of arms around her pulling her close. Looking up to see Andy's face she couldn't stop her tears from falling. She started sobbing softly and couldn't stop. She usually didn't show her weakness around others but something about him was different. He seemed trustworthy and she had this strange feeling in her stomach.
"Y/N no matter what anyone says, I am here for you." Andy whispered lightly pulling out of the hug to stroke a strand of her hair behind her ear.
𝖂𝖊 𝖆𝖗𝖊 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖓𝖌 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖜𝖊 𝖆𝖗𝖊 𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖓𝖌
𝕿𝖍𝖗𝖔𝖚𝖌𝖍 𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖊𝖓𝖌𝖙𝖍 𝖎𝖓 𝖘𝖊𝖑𝖋 𝖜𝖊 𝖇𝖊𝖈𝖔𝖒𝖊

𝕿𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝖎𝖘 𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖘𝖜𝖊𝖊𝖙 𝖇𝖑𝖆𝖘𝖕𝖍𝖊𝖒𝖞
She slowly shook her head, her beautiful eyes were full of pain and sadness. But not the physical kind, but more the kind of pain that gets caused by words and will never fully heal. This was the exact reason why Andy told himself to protect her at all costs, he was her guardian angel.
Her Good Samaritan is black-haired, blue-eyed, and drop dead gorgeous, the complete embodiment of her perfect man, but he’s more than what he seems. The strange familiarity in his eyes, his touch.
Her knight in shining armor had arrived after all. She'd never dreamed her prince charming would turn out to be a guardian angel, but life was full of surprises.
The moment Andy saved her human life for the first time, a moment also drowned by tears and agony. He found it ironic even then that he had been alive for thirty years as a human, he had never felt this peculiar and distinct connection.
I remember when Andy first saw the cuts along my wrist it wasn't easy trying to explain it honestly. When he asked me why this was the only way I felt I could explain it….
The sting of a cut would push me into reality. It evaporated the numbness I felt inside and helped me feel real and alive.
It helped me smile and pretend that I was okay. Over time though The more I cut, the more tolerance I had for it, so I had to cut deeper and more often.
At that point, I had a collection of what I referred to as tools, each tool for a different cut. I had three, five, and single blades. The three and five were mostly for use at home, but the single was my travel blade. It was more discrete because it was smaller, and I could do a quick cut in the bathroom stall. If I were really desperate, I would cut right in class. When you have an addiction like cutting, it becomes more than a coping method; it becomes a lifestyle, a skill. Cutting was my skill and I had it down to a science.
Andy's POV…..
It can be hard to understand why someone you love might injure himself or herself on purpose.
Some people turn to this behavior when they have problems or painful feelings and haven't found another way to cope or get relief.
Most of the time, people who cut themselves don't talk about it or let others know they’re doing it. But sometimes they confide in a someone. Sometimes someone might find out in another way.
Y/N looked so sad she didn't realize that the pain seemed obvious but it was way more to my eyes than she even realized.
Though she did her best to not show emotion in front of people once saying it was a sign of weakness. But when she started sobbing there was no way she could control it. It killed me to see her so upset, I pulled her tightly to me hugging her close.
It took a little bit but she started to calm down, "Your heartbeat is soothing, I don't understand why but for some reason it is." She admitted to me after a long silence.
Y/N POV…..
I didn't know or understand how but being with Andy brought me peace. I never would have thought a single person could make the pain go away but somehow this f*cked up universe managed to prove me wrong.
This small act was enough to let you know that someone actually truly cared and to be honest it was all you really wanted was to be at peace instead of your soul constantly at war.
Before now….. before Andy it hurt. There's not much left to smile at, not much left inside you that knows how to smile. The once warm space behind your ribs was cold and dry – a wrinkled chamber where all traces of a heart have been scraped out – and you wondered why you still bothered to stay alive more often than you cared to admit.
You can't die , a voice echoes in your head, you've been cursed beyond your time; you life.
There aren't many lucky days in your life, but today is one of them.
A rarity – lonely, candid flower on a mountaintop; glowing gemstone encased in rough, dead dirt – and you cradle it so close and so tight with all the fear of losing one blissful little moment.
Andy is beautiful. He always is, whether you see him in sweaty, jogging clothes or in a pristine, carefully picked out outfit. He's beautiful like this – washed out jeans and black leather jacket draped over slender shoulders clad in a black t shirt. The light shines in his eyes, it illuminates everything that surrounds him, putting the Sun to shame. It shines over all the shadows, warms all the bones in your body.
"If I could give you one thing in life, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes, then you would realize how special you are to me."
'Do you believe in God?" Your cousin asked one day what seemed ages ago. Given that she was a die hard religious holy roller her response was of no surprise to you. "I do I absolutely believe in God."
"I don't know exactly what I believe in but I believe there is something bigger than me out there."
The depression seemed to just get worse one day Andy asked you "Do you want to talk about it?"
You shrugged "I don't see why talking about it would make it any better."
"It won't make it better." He'd responded "but not everything is about making things better." He paused placing his hand over the top of yours. "Sometimes you need to get things off your chest, speak your truth into the universe. You won't get anything from it but sometimes some emotions are too much to keep inside. You carry a sort of a burden and it hurts you more in the long run."
You feel two strong arms wrap themselves around you. The intoxicating smell of of deodorant or aftershave makes him smell so damn good. "I got you baby girl." His deep voice rumbles in your ear and a calmness washes over you.
"I know your going through a lot and don't want to intrude I just want to tell you that I'm here for you." Andy twirled one of his fingers around a single strand of your hair that had fallen in front of your face. There were times where words weren't necessary to exchange and that was just fine the simple act of just simply being around one another was enough really and all that you really needed.

Chapter 6
Bonnie spent the next several days restoring Rollo's former keep. By the end of the fifth day, she moved in and Queen Aslaug gifted her with a new bed, a table, two chairs, and a large barrel to use for baths. Bjorn gave her bulks of silks, linen, furs, and leather material to fashion a wardrobe that would range from great hall feasts to raiding next spring. For that task, her magic did the bulk of the work. In no time, she had several dresses fashioned after wears she'd seen on the hit television shows Reign, Last Kingdom, and Merlin. She even threw in some retro fits from her time period. For her raiding gear, she went straight Valkyrie from Thor Ragnarök.
She stared down at the leather black raiding outfit she wore, frustrated she couldn't see the gear on her in its entirety. Craning her neck, she looked over her shoulder to see if she could catch a glimpse of her butt. "Damn, wish I had the full-length mirror from home," she mumbled to herself.
Seconds later the mirror materialized in front of her. Her bottom lip kissed the floor. Although the emergence of her mirror from thin air stunned her, the reflection which stared back at her shocked the southern fried shit out of her. Instead of her sassy twenty-seven-year-old self-staring back at her, she was staring at her scared of her own shadow eighteen-year-old senior in high school self. The self who died before she even had the chance to graduate. How? Why? She rubbed a hand over her face, unable to believe the lie her reflection attempted to tell.
A knock sounded at the door and she hurried to cover the mirror with a few bulks of stray fabric. When she turned to answer the knock, Bjorn walked in followed by Torvi and the boys. Bjorn carried a chest, while Torvi held a battle ax and a sheathed sword.
"Bonnie, you fashioned your raider's wear?" Torvi placed the weapons on the table and hurried over to spin her around. "It's made so well, you're barely able to see the stitching. Look, how the chainmail overlays the length of her arms and bosom area. Bonnie you have to make me one. Wait until Lagertha sights this."
As Torvi continued fawning over the raiding outfit, Guthrum rushed over and wound himself around one of Bonnie's legs. Hali, not to be left out, toddled over with his arms raised. Bjorn, who had since place the chest on the table next to the weapons, watched her with a complacent expression locked tight on his face. Conflict, however, incinerated his eyes until they glowed brighter and bluer than a Brazilian sky. One could only imagine the battle which waged inside his head.
"Of course, I'll make one for you," she said as she leaned down to scoop Hali into her arms.
The intensity in Bjorn's eyes doubled, when his gaze traveled over her and Hali, "You'll have to wait until after you give birth to done the garb."
"It's enough to know I'll have it when time comes," Torvi insisted, standing back to stare down the length of Bonnie once more before turning to her husband.
"Bonsie, will you come before slumber to finish the saga about the street rat, and the Jinn?" Guthrum questioned.
Bonnie squatted with Hali still in her arms pecking away at her cheek, "Yes, and if we finish early we can start on a new one."
"Alright," Bjorn said, snapping from whatever mental deliberation he wrestled with to the point of distraction, "help your mother ready the keep for Lagertha's visit on the morrow. We'll fish in the harbor once you've finished."
Torvi and Bjorn exchanged a stare that screamed a thousand words without whispering one. Torvi glanced away first to regard her with warm eyes that put cups of cocoa and comfortable furry slippers to shame, "Will we see you at second meal? Queen Aslaug does enjoy squandering a great amount of your time." She finished with an eyeroll.
"I'll be there," Bonnie smiled, handing Hali back to Torvi.
With that assurance, Torvi nodded and ushered the children from the keep. After the door to the keep closed, Bonnie's gaze moved to Bjorn. He still watched her with eyes that burned her in a place she couldn't even begin to try and soothe. "What troubles you, my protector?"
"You," he straightened from his lean on the wall. With deliberate purpose he crossed the room. "You trouble me. So does your voice that I hear even when you're not near... and your eyes that forces me to misuse time because I'm occupied staring into the trees to find their likeness in hue... but let me not misremember your mouth! For how can I misremember your mouth which tempts and mocks me just so of the point of madness...your hair, in which my hands long to fist themselves...your scent, which intoxicates and besots me until I'm no better than the village drunkard." He paused to lift her onto the table. After cupping her face in his hands he continued, "Everything about you troubles me." He dipped his head to press a lingering kiss to her lips. "And it troubles me that I'm troubled by you. It troubles me that I can't merely make you my concubine because my heart refuses to recognize you as anything other than my wife...my future queen." He kissed her again, this time slipping his tongue between her lips. The taste of him ripped a moan from the bottom of her throat. Without any real thought behind the action, her arms snaked around his neck. "Marry me, Mystical One."
In that moment all she wanted to do was drown in him. To become overwhelmed by the absolute epicness of him. And if she was just a woman and him just a man with a heart equal in measure to the demigod who stood before her, then to him she would submit. Goddess, help her, she'd become his wife and carry a minivan full of children for him. Alas, she wasn't just a woman and he wasn't just a man. They both had roles to roll with and it was too early in the game to allow emotions to get in the way of them achieving the victory history had already saw fit to deny him.
"I'm sorry, Bjorn," she leaned back from his grasp, "I can't."
Several emotions filtered across his face, but the one of pain is the one which stuck with her. "Why? I know you would be my second wife, but you have to know you'd always be first in my heart."
"There's someone else, Bjorn," she said, figuring there was no better time than the present to make Klaus' place in her life known. "There's someone I left behind, who's waiting for me back in my land."
"And he holds your affections?" He backed away from the cradle of her legs. "Even now?"
"He's my family," she said, barely above a whisper.
Bjorn scoffed, before spinning around to stalk toward the door. Opening it, he paused, "Whomever he is, he doesn't deserve you. Anyone who could misplace one as rare and precious as you, doesn't merit the treasure the gods have gifted him." With that said, he left.
Bonnie's eyes closed, and there in silence she allowed the salty liquid droplets of pain to slip freely down her face.
****
"Mother said Bjorn has spoken to her of his plans to marry, Bonnie," Hvitserk said to Ubbe's back as he followed him through the forest.
Ubbe remained silent. He already knew of his older brother's plans to marry his Mystic One. Anyone with sight could bear witness to how taken he was with the girl. Odin's eye, they all were. Her beauty and exoticness was unique to any other in Kattegat. Hel truth be heralded, anyone in all of Norway. Yet, her physical appeal only attracted one's attention, it was everything else about her which intrigued. The whole of her is what provoked many topics of conversations at the long table and had every ear trained on what she would possibly say next.
"Well, she will not have him," Ivar said, while gripping the sides of the wooden plank on which they dragged him. "She will have none of you. You all see the way she gazes upon me, hmm?"
It was true. Whenever in Ivar's presence, she couldn't keep her verdant pigmented eyes from meeting his. The strangest thing. One would think she didn't even see him as a cripple, but instead as an unbroken man who was capable of being her provider and protector.
Sigurd scoffed. "Have you ever even been with a woman, Ivar?"
"Sorry, Little Brother," Hvitserk laughed, leaning down to ruffle Ivar's hair, "Nestled between those dark thighs is my home and I do mean to return to the comforting heat of her hearth."
They reached the edge of the forest which gave way to the cove. Hvitserk was about to pull Ivar out but something with in the falls of the water snared his awareness. He raised a hand to signal for Hvitserk to halt. The shadow in the water moved into view and their collective breaths caught. There in all her bared radiance stood the matter of their debate. Her body was beyond perfection. Even through all the froth lathered over her golden bronzed skin, he could tell her tempting frame was crafted by and for Odin. For what mere mortal man would be worthy of a woman such as her?
"I don't understand?" Ivar mumbled. They turned to see there little brother gawking at the overexaggerated man stand towering in his lap. Fear glistened Ivar's already too blue gaze, "What is happening?"
"What don't you understand?" Sigurd frowned, barely tearing his eyes away from a now rinsed clean Bonnie. "Is that your first one?"
"Looks like you're not quite so boneless after all, Little Brother," Hvitserk said, reaching down to squeeze Ivar's shoulder.
A smirk tugged at the corner of Ubbe's mouth as he returned his gaze to Bonnie. She now stood on the rocks near the waterfall rubbing a liquid substance of sorts into her skin which made her rare hue glisten in the sunlight. Unable to resist her any longer, he left the cover of the trees.
"Ubbe!" he heard Hvitserk hiss.
"Where's he going?" Sigurd panicked.
"Where do you think?" Ivar answered.
****
Bonnie stood in front of the waterfall, dipping her head back. She allowed the supernaturally heated water to rinse the homemade co-wash from her head. With the pads of her fingers, she gave her scalp a deep massage. Her eyes slipped closed. Mm, she needed this after how things went down with Bjorn. No matter her feelings, she couldn't afford to lose focus.
Ansel's warning growl from the bank alerted her to be on guard. Her eyes snapped open and collided with a bottomless sky-blue gaze. Ubbe towered before her bared tanned, hard, ripped and cut the hell up with godlike precision. For a full minute they remained struck in awe of the other. Unable to take her eyes off of him, she backed away. Once she bumped into the large rock holding her belongings, she squatted to retrieve her shower scrub and a scrap of linen from her basket.
When she reclaimed her spot in front of him, she commenced to bathing him. She started with his face, and then worked her way down to his solid shoulders. There, she kneaded the rigid muscles into pliable submission. After she relieved the tension in his neck she moved on to the firm hills of his chest. With ease, she glided the rag over the dipped crevices of his abdomen. She lifted her gaze to stare in his eyes as she attempted to wrap the linen scrap around all eight inches of him. Which was no easy task since the girth of him was almost the size of her ankle in width. Once secured in her grasp, she gave him a few firm tugs that earned her a long-drawn-out moan and a couple of grunts.
"Don't marry Bjorn," he demanded in a hoarse broken whisper.
She gave him another massage infused pull, "I wasn't planning to."
"Good," He leaned down and captured her upturned mouth with his.
The kiss he rocked the hell out of her mind with was nothing like she believed him to be. Under all that arctic chill simmered a passion so fierce and wild she'd nearly missed the splashing of the water in the distance. She severed her lips from Ubbe's in time to see Sigurd and Hvitserk's glorious but naked form trotting over to them.
"Shit," she hissed, and broke away from Ubbe.
Snatching her basket from the rock, she disappeared behind the curtain of frothy falling water. Quickly, she put on white bikini bottoms and a matching wrap top, items she managed to displace from home in 2018. Once dressed she stepped back through the waterfall.
Hvitserk greeted her with one of his signature wide smiles. "Our turn." When he glanced down at her bikini bottoms, a frown battled back his previous good cheer, "What are those? Is that some strange fabric barrier to preserve chastity in this Mystic land of yours?"
"Why is your muff bare?" Sigurd questioned, fucking all over the boundaries of her personal space. "Have you not completely reached womanhood yet?"
"First, I'm not done with Ubbe yet, so you'll wait your turn." She began, addressing them both with her chin raised and hands planted on her hips. "Second, these or bikini bottoms and they're made for swimming, not preserving chastity, Hvitserk. Third, Sigurd, I'll have you know I'm all woman and the reason there is no hair down below is because I prefer a clean canvas down there. And Fourth," She looked over the three of them, "where's Ivar?"
"Back on the shore. He can't swim," Sigurd said, his tone dismissive.
She stepped closer to Hvitserk and Sigurd, palming each of their cheeks. "Will you both please get him and place him here on the rocks. This platform is large, flat, and stable. It should be safe enough for him over here." When they nodded their assent, she stood on tip toes and kissed them each on the corners of their mouths.
Once alone, Ubbe wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. "I apologize for my brothers' interruption. Can I come visit you at your keep after second meal?"
"Isn't that normally when you meet Margrethe in the barn?" She asked, watching as they placed Ivar on some sort of wooden raft.
He yanked her backwards through the waterfall. When they were obscured from the view of his brothers, he allowed his hands-free reign over her body. One reached up to palm her breasts, while the other slipped into her bikini bottoms. He devoured the side of her neck with open mouth kisses. His thumb grazed over her clit in persistent brushes, provoking her overheated good-good to ooze her need all over his hand. Whimpering, she silently urged him on by further parting her legs. Instead of giving into her quiet demands he kneaded her breast and tweaked her nipple. The roughness of his touch had her grinding into the heel of his hand.
"I do not care to meet Margrethe in the barn this eve," he rasped next to her ear. "I'd rather greet the next rising in your bed. Now will you have me, Valkyrie?" He tried to press two fingers in her entrance, but her good girl being a tease refused admission. After a brief pause, he downgraded to one finger and she still refused to bloom. "Are you a-,"
"Where are you two?" Sigurd yelled from outside. "We need help getting Ivar off the raft and on the boulder."
"Do you think they're-," Hvitserk began.
"No," Ivar cut him off, "Bonnie's, girdles are not nigh as light as Margrethe's."
She broke free of Ubbe's hold and straightened her bottoms. After stepping back through the waterfall, she jumped from the rock into the water and swam over to the raft. Ivar searched her face, and then looked over her shoulder at Ubbe who'd just reappeared back through the froth of water. A smirk settled on his all too willing lips.
"As I said before," Ivar said to no one in particular, "Some girdles are light and others..." his dancing gaze moved to regard her, "not so much. Greetings, my love. My brothers tell me you requested my presence over on that boulder."
Her heartbeat tapped out a peculiar rhythm upon hearing Ivar refer to her as his love. "Yep, I wanna bathe you and wash your hair. Do you have any objections to me doing so?"
His brows leaped to his hairline as he shook his head, "N-no."
For the next couple of hours, Bonnie bathed, shampooed, and groomed the Lothbroks. They each seemed to bask in the attention. Especially, when she braided Ubbe, Hvitserk, and Sigurd hair in actual designs instead of the sloppy twists they usually wore. Since Ivar's hair wasn't yet long enough for braids, she trimmed it into a precision cut. By the time they made it back to Kattegat the second meal had already begun. She was late for dinner with Bjorn and Torvi. If she didn't hurry she'd miss it altogether.
"I'll see you guys later," her gaze darted to Ubbe first before moving over all of them, "I had fun, thanks for helping me to take my mind off things."
She turned to walk towards Bjorn's and Ivar grabbed her wrist. "What things?"
She squatted and kissed him on the lips. "It doesn't matter." With that, she stood and hurried away.
****
The next rising after first meal, Bjorn greeted his mother in the great hall. People who remembered her from long before as Ragnar's first wife waited in Kattegat's long house to welcome her. Although he was happy to see his mother, only half his heart cared she visited at all. Bonnie's refusal still pained him. Why would she choose another over him? Surely, he couldn't be the only one between them who harbored such affections.
"I said, how have you fared here since your return, my son?" Lagertha's voice, delivered him from the torture which was his thoughts.
"Distracted it would appear," Astrid, his mother's...Astrid said.
Bjorn waved off their observations. "I've fared well enough. Although, Floki has informed me that the fleet he's building for the Mediterranean won't be available until next spring."
"Oh," Lagertha reached up to rub his back, "I'm sorry, Bjorn."
He shrugged. "Just as well, Torvi's carrying again."
"Bjorn, this is wonderful news," Lagertha hugged him, her smile nearly splitting her face in two. "The gods have truly favored you and Torvi."
This time he felt his own smile creep into his eyes. "They do, in truth Bonnie has assured me this babe will be a girl."
"Bonnie?" Confusion snatched Lagertha's head to the far left.
"The dark woman he brought back from his last raid," Astrid enlightened, "The one he placed under his protection."
"Ah," Lagertha's pale brows shot up as she gave a slow nod. "I remember. How is she? Is she still a part of your household?"
"No, she now resides in Rollo's former keep," Bjorn answered, while tracking Ubbe's march into the hall.
"That's better for all," his mother exhaled, seeming somewhat relieved.
"No!" Bjorn snapped, dragging his attention from Ubbe. "I do not think it's better for all. I suffer-w-we suffer very much from her absence. The sooner she agrees to become my wife, then and only then will we all be the better for it."
"Your wife?!" Lagertha low hiss shrieked. "Did you leave your wits in the wetlands of Frankia? Bjorn, you know nothing of this woman!"
"You're wrong," he placed a palm at the center of his chest, "I know exactly who she is, and I know exactly where she belongs."
"And what of Torvi? Is she content with this usurper stealing her way into your lives and making a home of your marriage?" Lagertha questioned.
Bjorn folded his arms, weary of the entire discussion. He wasn't Ragnar, Torvi wasn't Lagertha, and Bonnie wasn't, Hel take her, Aslaug. "Torvi embraces the idea of Bonnie joining us in matrimony."
His mother's eyes flared. She scoffed in disbelief. "You've been bewitched. This woman has bewitched you, just as Ragnar was so many years before you. What is it about Lothbrok men that breeds witches?"
"Mother, it may be best if you rest," Bjorn said, leveling her with a glare that would make steel fold, but more than likely meant less than horse shit to Lagertha. "The journey from Hedeby to Kattegat can be exhausting." With that said, Bjorn turned and left the great hall.
Once Bjorn disappeared from sight Lagertha looked to Astrid. "Take care of her."
Astrid nodded her understanding.
****
Unable to stay inside any longer, Bonnie decided to take a walk along the shore of the fjord. Though they were on the brink of winter, the beauty of Kattegat was heart snatching.
In her own time when she traveled, she never even considered visiting Norway. Now that she found herself stranded there surrounded by its people and exquisiteness, she couldn't understand why this place never made the bucket list.
As she continued along the bank a cloaked figure sitting on a large rock staring out at the sea caught her attention. Loneliness wafted off of him in dejected waves. When she'd binged the series with Caroline Ivar was never one of her favorite characters. He reminded her too much of Klaus. Always hurting and terrifying others to distract from the obvious detail that he too was also hurt and terrified. Back then she had zero compassion to give to bullies who thought to offer reason behind their madness. At least not until Damon became her best friend and she fell face first in love with Klaus. Now after seasons of judgement from her something within urged her to offer Ivar the consideration she never did when she watched the show.
Wrapping her cloak tighter around herself she made her way over to him. Once at his side, she joined him in staring out at the clear waters of the fjord. For a while, neither of them said anything. They just existed together in a shared moment of peace.
A several more comfortable minutes of silence, Ivar spoke without turning to look at her. "I'll wager you're pondering what a cripple could possibly be considering as he gazes at waters he can never be minded to tread."
"You're considering how far you'll go," Her words brought his disbelieving blazing stare to hers, "But you don't have to worry because you'll go far, Ivar. You'll go further than you can ever think to dream or imagine." She reached inside his cloak and interlaced her fingers with his. Laying her head on his shoulder, she turned back to the fjord.
He rested his head on top of hers, "Why'd you kiss me, hmm?"
"Because I wanted to and I knew you wanted me to," she answered reveling and drowning in him all at the same time. "You bother me, Ivar. The last time a man bothered me I fell in love with him."
"You mustn't do something as foolish as to offer me your heart, my love," He cradled her hand in both of his. "I may do something as equally foolish and accept it."
She lifted her head from his shoulder to study his face. What she saw there was the strike of lightening she'd waited twenty-seven years to see. How did one come back from Nirvana and settle for the lack-lusterless of reality? The mundane of good enough. Was he the reason? Far away yipping of a dog snatched her from the brink.
"I have to go," she whispered.
He studied her for a moment before nodding. "Alright."
She pressed her mouth to his and took a minute to savor his lips. He moaned into the kiss, reluctantly she pulled away. After she gave herself a second for her world to start spinning again, she slid from the rock and darted off toward the woods. Inside the forest, Ansel barked for her to follow him. So that's what she set out to do. After a half hour of nonstop running she could no longer see Ansel. Bonnie called out to him, but only silence answered her in return. She glanced about the overhang she stood on. Everything and nothing looked familiar. Hell, she didn't know north from south. She'd do better waiting for Ansel to return for her. She walked to the edge. A view of the fjord feeding water into her cove greeted her.
A grin teased her lips. Thoughts of her bathing the boys shamed her better judgement. She would have never pulled that shit back in Mystic Falls as a senior in high school. Hell not even as a senior citizen. With thoughts of the day before still trailing across her mind she backed away from the edge. Bjorn's sacred arm ring slipped from her wrist. When she was unable to locate it among the leaves she dropped to her knees and started sifting through the brush on the ground. As soon as her hand connected with hard metal she exhaled. She didn't know what she would tell Bjorn if she'd ever loss the symbol of their vow. Quickly, she slipped the sacred arm ring back on her wrist.
When she moved to rise something hard bashed her in the head. Fingers tangled themselves in her hair as blunted nails clawed at her scalp. With unnecessary force her head was jerked backwards. A cold jagged edge of steel bit into her neck and slid from ear to ear. The sound of howling dampened her hearing as her attacker drug her by her hair to the edge of the precipice. A well-aimed kick to the center of her back sent her tumbling over the edge. Her heart stopped long before the near freezing waters of the cove embraced her.
