Hello! I've been following your blog for a few years because I love traditional Japanese fashion, it's silhouettes, patterns, and color choices (also how people across the ages wear their clothes and how they're built) and this is my first ask!

I'm not sure if you watch Jujutsu Kaisen but I've been wondering about a specific farmer a character wears; Kamo Choso wears this deep purple vest with an interesting waist. I'm wondering; does this particular garment have a name/historical origins? Or is it more *fantasy fashion*?

As for your ask, for reference, here's what Chôsô from Jujutsu Kaisen wears:

My first impression was that the purple overvest could be a sleeveless haori (sodenashi haori 袖無羽織) cinched with a large matching belt. Might also be a 胴着 dôgi (historically those were kind of sleeveless thick undershirts worn under kimono for warmth, and sometimes used as cloak/vest). But tbh those doesn't feel quite right ^^;

Considering the martial elements of Jujutsu Kaisen, 稽古着 keikogi (or 道着 dôgi) is a better candidate, as those are the "uniforms" for Japanese martial arts like judo, aikido, ... and jujustu ;)

Simply refered as "gi" in English, keikogi is a pretty modern wear and shapes widely varies depending on the discipline. Here is a sleeveless example:

pairing: laxia von roswell x gn!reader

summary: laxia and you are arguing like an old married couple and only notice when dogi and adol point it out to you

"you did eat my cake, i just know it! don't try to play dumb and just admit it!"

laxia was once again scolding you, just like she did so often. only that this time she was convinced you had taken a piece of that cake she had baked yesterday.

"i didn't do anything! maybe you just don't wanna admit that you ate it yourself last night!"

you softly huffed back at your girlfriend, not taking her accusations too seriously.

"excuse me!? i'd never do such a thing–!!"

"oh really? what about that one time you–"

laxia blushed and interrupted you before you could finish your sentence.

"that was one time! stop bringing that up, you…"

your little argument was suddenly interrupted by a familiar laughter and as you two turned your heads, you found adol and dogi watching the two of you.

"you're not even married and yet you two already argue like an old married couple…"

dogi chuckled and shook his head amused.

"what? we are not–"

the two of you both started at the same time, only to grow quiet once you realized you were so in synch that you were about to say the same thing.

"ha, told you! like an old married couple~"

The following are my five favorite fics I've written (not in any particular order):

Coming Through! - KnY; rntn. Do you want a fic where Inosuke causes fun chaos for everybody around him (including rntn) just by existing? Do you also want to read all the names I had to come up with because Inosuke is incapable of remembering Tanjiro's name except for every seventh time he refers to him? BECAUSE I SURE CAME UP WITH A BUNCH.

Deferral - KnY; rntn. This is not a happy ship fic whatsoever, but I really did enjoy the way certain lines sounded, especially toward the end of the fic. "If not then, then when?"

Progression of an Elegy - KnY; rntn. Another angsty fic that I particularly enjoyed writing because I got to play with dreamscapes and drowning imagery (despite of – or maybe because of the mild PTSD I got from near drowning several years ago). At least it kinda ends on a happy-ish note?

You Will Always Come Back to the Forest - PokeSpe; Grantedshipping-adajcent. I don't update this drabble collection very often, but when I do, it's always fun to go all out with themes related to revenge, forgiveness, and the tension that comes from trying to become a better person after almost destroying the Kanto region lol

It Has to Land Eventually - Ys VIII; Dogi/Adol. So I have this thing where I go FERAL if one person keeps touching the other (hugs, head pats, hip touches) but the other is oblivious as to WHY, and then a third party notices and is like ?????? Why don't you get what the first character wants? It's super specific sdkmfmdf but I think I pulled this scenario off well in this fic. Also Dogi/Adol is CRIMINALLY underrated and needs more love.

Undertale September Day 8: DOGS!!!

I'm not used to doing lineless art, so this was a little bit of a challenge for me. And the Dogi were also hard for me to stylize, but I tried my best.

The Canine Royal Guard are honestly one of the best parts of the game in my opinion, and I love how dorky they are. (Personally, Doggo is my favorite, but don't tell Lesser Dog that).
