you don’t hate winter half as much as katsuki, but being cooped up inside, surrounded by the constant cold and dark does weigh on you.

so in an attempt to keep busy, you decide to teach yourself how to knit or crochet. your first few projects are scarves and potholders with wavy edges and dropped stitches. but after countless hours of practice, your rows get tighter and neater. your projects become a bit more ambitious, until you've built the skill and confidence to try making katsuki a stocking hat. something to keep him warm on his commute or when he ventures out to the grocery store.

and even though you restart the black hat twice, the final product still looks painfully handmade, right down to the bright orange pom-pom stitched to the top.

still, rarely leaves the house without it.

he gets photographed on a slow news day — rosy nose tucked into the high collar of his coat, the hat pulled down to his eyebrows against the cold. if not for that trademark glower, it could've been anyone in the shot.

NOW!! my update. now that i've got a consistent process for making sure models look as good as they can, i've gone back and replaced some of the ones that looked a little less-than-stellar due to my old process. these include hatenna, hattrem, sinistea, and polteageist. i've edited the original posts to include their updated models (and they should look just like they do in-game now!) i debated about whether i wanted to reblog the posts to make sure everyone could see them (especially since i imagine not many folks read responses to asks [especially not this early in the morning]), but i figured i would just link them here just in case so as to not spam your dashboards (and possibly notifications, if you have those on! i'd like to be courteous on your cognitive load!)

I thought that it was super funny that Mikey soloed Big Mama and it actually made sense. I think without Raph in the picture Mikey probably experienced more dangerous situations and therefore would be less scared when fighting someone WAY bigger than he was.
