SOME CHANGES

I also learned today that Instagram is gonna turn shitty for artists and many other content creators as it's trying to become a "new tiktok", which honestly is not gonna work.

If I wanted to have something that's like tiktok I'd just have a tiktok.

And although I've seen many artists and content creators manifest their disapproval to this change and asking for Instagram to just be Instagram and fix its algorithm, the majority of them are also looking for other platforms to publish and post their work.

WHAT DOES ALL OF THAT MEAN? That means that even tho I'll still post my drawings on Instagram as I've always did since I made my art account, I'll be making this account a lot more active: Posting new and old drawings, sharing some information about stuff I'm planning, interacting with you guys as much as I can (I'm pretty bad at it, sorry haha), etc.

Apparently much-needed reminder that reposting artists' art (by saving the images or screenshotting them and reuploading them yourself) on other platforms without the artists' expressed permission and without credit is theft and an insult to their passion and craft. You are profiting (in views, in attention, in feedback) from someone else's work and ideas, who do not get that feedback for sharing their creation.

If you are an art reposter, you are a thief and I have no respect for you.

idk it's kind of annoying how fast people cinnamon roll-ified pavtir (either that or reducing his whole personality to the "chai means tea" joke)...I get that he's the youngest in the spider gang and has a pretty extroverted bubbly personality but in atsv he's also shown to be really smooth and charming and can be pretty sarcastic too? it's a part of his personality that's seen in a lot of his scenes like him flipping off the british museum, him talking to gayathri "tonight whatever-whatever", the sarcasm while he was arguing with spot, people act like he's too innocent to understand his own comments on miles and gwen even though they were really accurate and he said it himself that he's great at reading people

I find it kind of silly that so many of those "time based life rule" sayings are like ~deep serious guidelines~ of some sort, but then there's that one other Well Known Rule that's just like "hrmm can I eat something off of the ground or not"

#the duality of human condition.. two biggest concerns in the modern era are attempts at self fulfilling productivity #and also 'if i drop my sandwich can i still eat it :(' #Also while capitalism is often linked with/the source of hyper productivity culture - note that I do not mean the images in that context #'meaningful to you' does not have to mean 'productive within a capitalist system'. The point is not 'every waking hour of every day #must be spent in the most societally productive grinding mindset hyper efficency mode possible' but more like #if you've always wanted to learn french ever since you were a kid and you think it would be fulfilling to you (just because you like it #absent of any larger purpose like using it for a job/monetizing it somehow/etc.). and you've just spent like 5 hours straight on tiktok #or something mindlessly scrolling the internet. maybe someimtes it'd help for your own personal fulfillment in the long #run to try to - the next time you have 5 spare hours - work on learning french or something that is actually significant to you #as a person and that you'll be glad you worked towards. instead of weeks and weeks passing by and feeling you have nothing to show for it #or etc. AAANYWAY. The images/rules themselves are also NOT the main point of this post. More just the juxtaposition of them together #and the fact that 3 of them are serious seeming while one is so mundane it seems silly in comparison. #BUT even though they're not the main point . I still didn't want it to come across as if I was like promoting or buying into capitalist #productivity culture propaganda or etc. I don't find productivity tips like this inherently bad as long as they're kind of divorced from #those ideas.
